It's such a good episode to case-point that Ray and Chicago and it's influences on Fraser are linked to the key of social/personal connection for Fraser!

#sidenote: im also increasingly wondering if meg was testing him this episode because she never threatens to fire him again afterwards#she gave him the chance to leave and when he tells her he's staying she Smiles

Season 2 Meg must have really had a trip coming in to be Fraser's new boss. Like I cut her slack for her hard take first impression, aside from she's doing a hard projection for her own seeming to need to be tough, because really all you have to do is look at what she walked into with him. On paper or for second hand...would you even know what to think about Benton Fraser and having to manage that? And then she's also coming in post his big ole fucked it up... Which imagine what Canada took from that!?.

Any surprise she wants to test or worries or is harsh to the loose cannon and charmer idea?

Me not shocked she offered an easy out and liked that peek of the person he is in not taking it.

Or that Canada offered to outskirt him again in a get gone and go home or well done without having a clue what the Victoria incident represents personally or professionally.
