Forget Bruce Wayne. Give me Jim Gordon, the nosy neighbour who likes to make sure new-to-town Danny Nightingale is looking after himself, who enjoys inviting the 'kid' over to enjoy a meal while he goes on about his own daughter or gets Danny to open up about his life.

Give me Danny, oddly charmed and highly protective of this paternal figure who isn't actively trying to adopt him. Who likes to check in and make sure the man is actually resting when he gets injured on the job. Who, after many trials and errors, manages to cook a meal and bring it over instead of ordering takeout. Who has someone actively listening to him even if they don't actually understand every word out of Danny's mouth.

And everytime a Bat tries to come around Jim Gordon is on the roof with a broom, waving them off because this is his kid, Bruce! He called dibs!

There's actually something really important about the fact that Bruce hates guns for good reasons but still understands that's its important for himself and the robins to know how to handle them safely which is why I absolutely hate it when some writers today try to retcon it so that Bruce doesn't teach the robins to handle guns

These posts saying that "Jason used to write fanfics" are right. This is an issue "written" by Jason (his name is in the writer's box), where he tells the latest adventure he had with Batman. However, at the end, he isn't satisfied with his writings, so he burns it, which implies this is not a journal, but him working on his writing skills, using their crime fighting as a base. He even talks about "maintaining suspense" at one point. So, yeah, if Jason grew up in the 21st century, he would be writing Batman and Robin's fanfics inspired by his own adventures with his dad.

And Bruce, faking being asleep in the same room Jason is writing in, so he can listen and watch his boy as he enjoys his hobby, just happy seeing his baby do something he likes. He probably loves to read what Jason wrote.

Was pondering how Mark’s rigid ass mask/lens is prob a Budget Thing (since squishy, bendy lens are pretty much a mandate for all hero animated series, like JL, BTAS, TNBA, Spider-Man, etc), and then I was slapped with a vision of Mark in a more JL/BTAS-ish style and I had to see it through. you know that post that's like the best way to deal with conspiracy theorists is to suggest an even wilder conspiracy (ex. "did you know the moon landing was faked?" "you believe in the moon?")?

well that but with tim and bernard. every time bernard gets a little too close to the bat secret, tim suggests something insane and then goes to great lengths to find (or occasionally manufacture) evidence for his stupid theory.
