my personal view on the heroes of beleriand, earendil and elwing
#the child and the girl child#star gurl and star boy are babies and they shouldn't have babies#not that i hate Elrond and elros#bit i think the whole family situation was unnecessary#you're a teenager in a refugee camp why would you decide to marry when you're already having too much managing what's left of your people??#and they were lords of sirion for so little time i cant really see them as functional governors#i think elwing was a better parent than earendil#she sacrificed everything of herself for her children and people#earendil was busy doing his stuff on the sea in a vain hope of finding Valinor#he was an absent father#and they were both too young#i don't hate them#but i don't like the way they are portrayed in the book#Silmarillion#silm#the silm#elwing#earendil#tolkien
