mayhaps this is a sideplot to past life au but please talk more about their past life as farmhand and farmer’s daughter 🥺

Ok so I was listening to some country music (side note if I made a playlist for this au it would be a little wack lol). But so I was listening to this lil country playlist and the songs "Farmer's Daughter" and "Neon Diamonds" immediately thought about this as a little flashback.

Like the song is like "I'm working on this farm and hauling this hay and it sucks but it's money so I guess it's alright but it's hot as shit and I'm thinking about quitting, and "just when i thought it couldn't get no hotter, I caught a glimpse of the farmer's daughter." So of course Jasmine is wildly polite, offering sweet tea to the new farm hand, chatting with them about what they're doing, listening as they're explaining, trying a bit of the work herself, and soon enough their topics of conversation move on from work to more personal stuff. And they're sneaking around and kissing by the lake and messing around in the flatbed of the truck. And one night Jasmine steals them a fifth of whiskey and they're laying out in the barn, looking up at the stars between the broken slats of the roof, get drunk off of it together, off each other, promising they'll always be together
