missing the whimsy of the Kid's Party Cakes section at the grocery store
#nostalgia#liz blogs#wal-mart. jewel. sams club. all of them used to have that big freezer sort of thing full of kids cakes for pickup#or for you to buy and have customized with a name right on the spot#with little printed designs and plastic doodads of cartoon characters#and they had that thicc phonebook full of PICTURES of EVERYTHING they could make at the bakery!!#they don't have those anymore they don't even have the books#i imagine it's all online now#the only cakes you see are regular ones with no funky colors or nothin#just. plain ol cakes#man those were the days#anyway im buying myself a cake for my birthday with the spongebob 25 joke on it in 2 months#you know the one.#its not original but i dont care
