I find it funny that like in one version of the whole Tiresias myth he was man turned woman, then turned man again and then Hera and Zeus are like "who experiences more pleasure during sex?" And Tiresias says "men experience one tenth rhe pleasure, women experience nine tenths." Which Hera didn't like that answer (which I don't understand why? He literally went "Yeah woman get so much more pleasure from sex" like??? Isn't that in favour of her??) But anyeays she turns him blind for that and then Zeus makes him able to live a really long life and foresight. Like. Damn.

Also that version where he sees Athena bathing and she is like "damn, gotta blind this man bc he saw me naked even though it's literally in the middle of the very public forest where anyone can see" and then his mum is like "Please!! Don't leave him helpless like this!" And so Aphrodite spits in his ears, cleans out some of the beeswax and gifts him with the ability to hear birds talk. Disney Princess much??

Also that he saw two snakes mating and was like "IM GONNA POKE THEM WITH A STICK!" got turned female, had 0 problems marrying a man and having kids, 7 years later seeing the snakes again and KILLING THEM WHIKE THEYRE MATING AGAIN?? gets turned male again and just. What? Abandoned his kids? I'm really curious as to what that conversation was like.
