Life, Death, and the Space in Between Part Two (Agatha Harkness x Reader x Rio Vidal)
Summary: Centuries later, you find yourselves reunited once more.
Words: 2430
Warnings: Canon violence, language, arguing, etc.
A/N: I hate how obsessed I am with this couple but here we fuckin' are.
-X-
Three Centuries Later
Sipping your morning coffee, you idly flipped through the newspaper as you savored the stillness of the early hours. You had sorted through your expected duties, leaving you with a bit of time to yourself before the cosmic powers of Life dragged you back into its grasp. You may never be human, but you could at least enjoy a few mortal pleasures.
As the door to your temporary abode slammed opened, you sighed and tossed aside the paper.
“Hello, my love,” you greeted with an easy smile, tilting your head back to accept the deep, probing - almost furious - kiss from Rio’s painted lips. The aggression took you by surprise but you melted into the embrace, offering her whatever solace and reprieve she needed.
Dragging your chair back from the table, she dropped down into your lap, tossing an arm around your shoulders while downing the remnants of your drink. Protest died on your lips, knowing it would be useless to argue with the lady of death. It wasn’t abnormal for her and, honestly, you didn’t mind the quirk. You found it amusing.
“I found her.”
Head tilting curiously, you cupped Rio’s cheek, wiping a speck of blood from her cheek and knocking a piece of shattered glass from her dark tresses. “Who?”
“Agatha,” she practically growled, glaring at the dark wood table before turning her eyes to you. They softened, though you could see the fire raging within. “I wasn’t looking for her per se, but I did find her.”
Pressing your lips together thoughtfully, fighting your initial reaction, you slowly nodded. “And how did that go?”
“We fought. I made her front door explode.” She said it so casually that all you could do was blink up at her. “Turns out, little miss Scarlet Witch kept her trapped in Westview. She has no power now. Won’t be long until she has some poor idiots singing that song so she can rectify that.”
It was stated emotionlessly but knowing your former lover was mortal had clearly shaken Rio. Before, you could rely on Agatha being formidable. Powerful. To be lacking her purple, well…
“I see you didn’t reap her.”
Rio rolled her eyes, fingers playing with the baby hairs on the nape of your neck. “No. I…”
“She’s our weak spot,” you acknowledged, running a finger over the slope of her nose. “You and I are inevitable. A perfect balance. She was always our anomaly and we love that about her. Even if she still hates us three hundred years later.”
Pressing her forehead against yours, Rio poured. “Why doesn’t she want us?”
“She does,” you cooed, nipping at the pushed out lip teasingly. “She’s always been our stubborn girl. She just refuses to deal with her grief and instead-“
“Sinks a fucking unsinkable ship? Causes massive disasters so she can throw another tantrum or make a point?” she snarled, though there was little heat behind it. She’d always appreciated the dramatics of Agatha’s gestures, even if it often upset the natural order and balance you carefully crafted together.
“She was always incredibly skilled at getting our attention,” you chuckled, letting your mind wander back to the woman you remembered centuries ago. “There was never a dull moment when Agatha was around.”
“I miss her,” she admitted, shoving her head into your neck as her inhumanly sharp teeth scraped the flesh. “I cut her hand… and then I licked it clean. Tasting how mortal she is now is upsetting. I always liked how the purple sparked against my tongue.”
“If you were anyone else, I would mention how unsanitary that is,” you murmured, head tipping as a cool mouth explored the familiar expanse.
“Shut up.”
Tangling your fingers in her hair, you yanked hard and felt the lust rebound through your connection as the low moan met your ears.
-X-
As the dirt and grass shifted, the Road making way for a new witch to sink its proverbial teeth into, a passing thought flickered through Agatha’s mind but she brushed it away with a simple mental wave of her hand.
There’s no possible way. The universe can’t hate me that much.
Watching with bated breath, the newly formed coven gasped as two sets of limbs and bodies began to crawl from the wet soil.
“Oh, you have got to be kidding!” Agatha shouted, years of resentment burning in ocean eyes as you righted yourself from the fresh grave. Her stomach rolled with anguish - guilt, pain - at the brief expression of hurt that crossed your features before you leaned down, offering a hand to your other half and tugging her up from the hole she’d clawed her way out of. “Never mind, the universe does hate me.”
Teen glanced between Agatha and you, his eyes wide with fear and excitement.
“Heard you guys were having a party,” Rio greeted, her usual nonchalance in full bloom as she wandered closer to Agatha, forever drawn like a moth to its doom. “We were in the neighborhood.”
A flower blossomed from her fingers, beautiful in such drab surrounds.
“Surprise,” she gasped, eyes wide and bordering on deranged. “My lady.”
Always in step with your antagonistic lover, you were quick to wrap an arm around Agatha’s waist as she lunged at Rio, glaring at the smug woman pointedly.
“Come now, Agatha, it’s not worth the effort,” you murmured, trying to ignore how your heart fluttered at the close proximity.
She screamed in frustration, wrenching herself from your arms before storming away in a huff. The teenager chased after her, leaving you to stand awkwardly before Agatha’s makeshift coven while Rio petted the massive fucking spider on her jacket.
You might’ve been Lady Life but holy fuck, that thing was huge and kind of freaked you out. All life was important and sacred but it needed to stay far, far away from you.
“What’s up? I’m Rio.” You gagged as she guided the damned thing into her clothes, inching away as her eyes went wide and she crept towards you. “Aw, what’s wrong, baby? He’s sweet.”
“I’m sure,” you responded, stepping backwards warily. “He can be sweet… over there. Away from me.”
She growled playfully, stomping at you and cackling when you scurried back a few steps.
“So, you’re a green witch, huh? B-both of you?” the woman you recognized as Alice Wu-Gulliver. You remembered her poor mother, begging for protection for the young Alice. Watched Rio take Lorna’s soul when the curse overcame her.
“Less a green witch,” Rio replied, tilting her head in such an adorable way that you had to bite your lip to suppress a giggle, “and more the green witch.”
That frightening tone of Death startled the huddled women but you simply rolled your eyes, hooking an arm through Rio’s.
“She’s a green witch. I just came along for the ride, it seems,” you mused, studying the scenery around you curiously. To be standing on The Road, a place forged by Agatha’s lies and quick wit, was not quite what you’d expected when you’d been yanked from your home. It was born from a maelstrom of bullshit and naïve witches believing that power could simply be procured instead of earned.
How is this…
Dark eyes cut in your direction, a similar interest gleaming back.
Strolling down the dirt path, Rio whistled, knocking you into a patterned step-skip combination that was so innocent and bizarre that it made you cackle. You could hear Agatha ahead, speaking with Teen in a semi-quiet manner but your ears were keen to whispers. Despite the unsettling nature of The Road and the lack of understanding how, Rio seemed completely at home in this strange place.
It’s all real, but none of this is natural, she mused, chewing her lip thoughtfully as she peered around. I don’t think any of these witches are capable of changing reality itself but I guess I’ve seen weirder.
“I can’t tell if I hate her or if I want her number,” Jen whispered to the group behind you, nearly swallowing her tongue when Rio abruptly paused to turn and face them. An eerie grin crossed her flawless features and she waved before twisting back in your grasp and continuing onward.
“What a scary bitch,” Lilia breathed.
Should I be worried? you teased, snorting at Rio’s brow rising high.
Before you could blink, she had you shoved against a tree, tongue shoved into your mouth incessantly as she both made her point to the gawking witches and used the opportunity as an excuse to grope you. It was demanding and needy, completely indecent, and by the time she was willing to release you from her clutches, your knees were shaking.
“I-I was kidding,” you said breathlessly, panting as a familiar smirk curled the edges of her lips.
“Oh, I’m aware,” she purred, tugging you away from the still-gaping group and following after your former lover. “But we both know you loved that. You like staking your claim.”
Sliding your hand into her back pocket, you shrugged nonchalantly.
-X-
Standing at the doorway of the music booth, your eyes glided along the lithe form of Agatha Harkness. She looked good, especially in a 70’s outfit that probably would’ve looked weird on just about anyone else. It had been so long since you’d really gotten a moment to just appreciate her. Remember every dip and curve…
“Hey,” you grunted, nodding at Agatha’s drifting hand. “Must everything be a ploy with you?”
Dark eyes flittered to the witch’s wiggling fingers and she snorted, shaking her head. “You never change, do you, Aggie? Nice try, though. I almost bought it.”
“Of course you protect her. Again,” Agatha sneered, venom on her tongue and fury in her eyes at the perceived slight. “All you ever do is protect her. You can’t -”
“Bullshit,” you cut in sharply, glaring at the offended woman you still loved. It was a nightmare ignoring the burning ache in your chest, but you refused to let her grief insult your relationship with them. “I protected you just as fiercely. I went against my nature - my very being for you. So if you want to hate me, fine, but don’t you ever say I didn’t love you just as much I love her. That I wouldn’t have done anything for you. That I didn’t do everything I possibly could for you. And for him.”
Staggering away from your sudden outburst, Agatha stared at you with misty eyes. What you said was true. You both had always treated her as an equal, despite the odd, unending connection you would always share. Once upon a time, it had bothered her, that she would never have that same bond, but you did everything you could to never make her feel like an outsider.
When they’d been driven from town, you willingly killed for her and for Nicky. And for a brief moment, she considered apologizing for downplaying what you had done, for unintentionally spitting in your face, but righteous anger kept her tongue heavy as lead in her mouth.
Unwilling to suffer through your anguish any longer, you stalked out of the room.
“Hate me if you want. Believe whatever bullshit you tell yourself at night, but we fought against every power we could for him,” Rio said softly, watching Agatha’s features shift then harden. “She had to fight even harder than I did. Remember that. The universe and cosmos… they don’t forget. And they rarely forgive.”
-X-
Of fucking course it had to be that song. The bastardized, albeit sweet song-turned-protection-spell that was once Nicky’s creation. Luckily for you - and Rio - the curse haunting Alice didn’t seem to have any interest in the the ladies of Life and Death, so you flopped onto the couch to watch the impromptu jam session with unimpressed disdain. Truthfully, you hated what Agatha had done to the song, marring what innocence your son had left for the world.
I look so hot in this. So do you. Do you think the Road would be mad if you fucked me against that piano?
Shooting Rio a glance, you couldn’t stop the involuntary smile that befell you as she winked from behind the drums.
I think I might need these outfits. We can relive the 70s.
Pay attention to what you’re doing, you scolded. And maybe Agatha won’t die in this sham of a Road. And you hated the 70s.
Maybe that’s what I want, she replied flippantly, finding the beat effortlessly. I’ve been trying to collect her soul for centuries. She should’ve died quite a few times, if someone hadn’t interfered.
I…
I know.
Watching the performance, you couldn’t take your eyes off Agatha. She could hold the world’s attention if she demanded.
It brought you back to raising Nicky. How she would sing him lullabies as he fed, the songs far too mature though they seemed to soothe his moods. The nostalgia was overwhelming and for a moment, you thought you might get sick, before the tangy, metallic scent overtook your nose.
Blinking, you peered over at Teen, watching how he hunched and bowed in pain. You started to stand from your seat, but Rio’s shrewd look sent you crashing back down onto the cushions.
You can’t.
Watching the demon burst into flames, atop Alice’s shoulders, you were the first to meet Teen as his body went limp and he slammed into the floor.
“Oh shit! Teen!”
There was chaos and unfettered panic as everyone began worrying over the unconscious boy. Hands and words and thoughts came together in a crescendo of concern and nothing was truly getting done, other than Agatha snapping at her fellow witches as tears flooded her eyes. Swallowing your discomfort, knowing you probably shouldn’t intervene - that Rio would be less than thrilled by your choice - you stepped into the fray and lifted him with ease. Despite his age, he was a fairly light boy. Very unassuming. Meek.
Agatha shrieked, demanding you release him to one of the other witches, but you ignored her. You looked to Rio, whose eyes darted between you and Teen, before slipping down the stairs tucked within the piano and back onto the Road. His life was fading quickly, crimson dripping from his wound onto the ground beneath your feet and smearing across the fallen leaves.
Settling him on the nearest flat surface, you took two steps back as the coven gathered around him.
Rio took one step forward.
And all you could see was history repeating itself again.

Yuri Manga for New (AND Not-So-New) Readers
I was talking on discord about some good yuri for beginners, and figured I'd repost here.
I get way more detailed some of these recommendations in this post, and there's great recs from another person too! Check it out!
I'm doing this accounting to various tones and tastes, so what works as a beginner yuri for one person might not for another, just read the info to figure out what your jam is.
I'll put a star by the ones about adults (which is the majority of them) since I've found that's always something people want.
Goodbye my Rose Garden (Victorian yuri w/ beautiful art, just beautiful all around)*
How Do We Relationship? (messy adult relationships and lots of actually realistic intimacy)*
She Loves to Cook and She Loves to Eat- (A woman loves to cook but doesn’t have a huge appetite, only to find the woman next door to her does! She cooks for her and they really start to bond over food and the trials of being working adults. Yes, this is the one where the woman googles lesbian. It's really good)*
Bloom into You- a common go-to yuri for beginners for a reason, about a girl who believes she can't fall in love meeting a girl who wants to date her specifically BECAUSE she can't fall in love. Find out more about it and hear my thoughts here. It has a gorgeous anime that doesn't cover the complete story.
Doughnuts Under the Crescent Moon (sweet office lady romance, ace rep) *
Catch These Hands! (These two women were delinquents and rivals in high school, they meet up again, one reveals she was always into the other, she challenges her to a fight on the condition that if the other woman loses she'll date her. Lots of slapsticky fun and great for any lover of girl delinquents)*
Run away with me, Girl (there's some abuse shown in this one, but it's a story about healing, the premise is these girls dated in high school, but one of the pressured herself "normal" and marry a man, that man turns out to be abusive, so when the former lovers reunite, they decide to run away together. It's got beautiful art and a well done story)*
The Moon on a Rainy Night (absolutely spectacular, explores the relationship between a hard of hearing girl and her closeted classmate, the characters are complex and the writing is so good!)
Kase-san And...- Starting with Kase-san and the Morning Glories, this is a very fluffy and sweet high school romance. It also has a short movie. (as the manga goes on they become college students, too)
The Two of Them Are Pretty Much Like This (slice of life about a voice actress and anime screenwriter who live together as a couple. Unfortunately the ending is a bit abrupt (and likely premature) but I love their relationship)*
My fave Otherside Picnic is great for scifi and (mild) horror lovers. It's Scifi creepypasta adventure yuri. It's a slow burn but does truly spectacularly deliver on the gay. Has an anime, it's not great, you should start with the novels. Wrote an article here. https://www.animefeminist.com/how-otherside-picnic-masterfully-uses-horror-to-explore-abuse-and-show-healing-queer-love/ *(v young adults, college students)
The Guy She was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All: (A web manga about a girl who works at a record shop. Her classmate , Aya, wanders in but doesn't recognize her because she has her hair hidden with a hat and is wearing a face mask, and Aya assumes she's a guy. They bond over music and slowly start to get closer...and Aya's finds her heart is fluttering not only over this mysterious boy, but her female classmate that seems a lot like him...) It's going to get a physical release soon.
This Monster Wants to Eat Me: (A depressed girl who's been searching for death gets approached by a mermaid who wants to eat her...but the thing is, our monster mermaid is a gourmet who wants her to be as delicious as possible, which means she's going to make her happy first (as apparently that enhances her flavor), and fight off all the other monsters who want to kill her. This is TOP TIER yuri horror and a must read for any lover of monster girls, especially monster girls drenched in the blood of their enemies, it's so good)
I Married my Best Friend to Shut My Parents Up (girl and her friend get married simply so her parents will stop bugging her about being single. You can probably guess where it goes from there) *
I Married my Female Friend (similar premise, except no parents involved, it's a platonic marriage they both agreed to with the promise they'll divorce if one of them falls in love. But one woman has decidedly not platonic feeling for the other that she's hiding from her, so It will likely turn romantic, it hasn't all come out here yet so I haven't finished it)*
Whisper Me a Love Song: (A girl named Himari sees her upperclassman, Yori, perform with her band and falls in love with her music. She confesses her love of Yori's music, and Yori mistakes it as Himari confessing to being in love with her. Yori falls head over heels at first sight. (if you don't like miscommunication, dw this is cleared up fairly quickly and new drama ensues) Has an anime covering early material)
Monthly in the Garden with my Landlord* (it didn't really hit with me but I might give it a shot again, it's solid despite the terrible title, a woman moves into a house and finds she'll be cohabitating with an idol) (Some more titles I haven't fully read that could appeal: Still Sick*, Cheerful Amnesia*)
Hana and Hina After School: (a cute three volume about a gyaru and shy girl working together at a shop after school and catching feelings)
After Hours: (A cool punk girl meets a girl who's been abandoned by her friend at the club, and she introduces her to the world of DJ'ing...and romance!)*
My Cute Little Kitten (two roommates adopt a cat...and maybe fall in love?)*
I think all of those work as solid intro- though it does depend on what flavor you're looking for!
This article also covers some of these recs and some manga I didn't mention due to not having completely read it. so check it out: The Beginners Guide to Yuri Manga.
Here's some titles to try when you're a little more familiar with yuri (or you can try them now! I'm not your boss!)
SHWD (action yuri that's taking forever to come out over here physically, featuring extremely muscular women fighting monsters. I think it was forced to end prematurely too)*
Kiss and White Lily for my Dearest Girl: (I'm only three volumes in, but it's really enjoyable. The main storyline is about two academic rivals, where one is determined to rank first in class, and the other is an effortless genius who becomes intrigued at the possibility of someone beating her. Honestly they have the kind of messy combative sexual tension I wish we'd see more often in yuri because it's so good. The story follows other couples too. However, big warning for some nonconsensual kisses in early volumes, and a storyline in volume 7 that has implied incest and an age gap, though the older sister doesn't go through with it onscreen).
Sweet Blue Flowers/Aoi Hana- (This one is a little bit dated, and boy is the ending weirdly paced, but a lot still holds up imo. A painful and sweet coming of age tale, it also has an anime that's good but ends too soon.
One teenage characters backstory involves incestuous (older cousin) the perpetrator of which pulls the "oh no did I turn you gay? thing" but it's definitely framed as a bad thing. )
The Summer You Were There: (For tragic and doomed yuri lovers. A deeply depressed girl starts her journey to healing thanks to a girl who courts her and enjoys her writing. Unfortunately, said girl is terminally ill. The manga is a heart wrenching meditation on grief, redemption, and how being sick doesn't mean you can't still be loved).
Yuri is My Job- a story about messy lesbians in a yuri-themed cafe, and how their real relationships differ from the personas they put on. Read more about it here. Big warning for sexual assault of a minor (by an adult villain) in volume 12. Has an anime covering early material.

Upcoming Taiwanese BLs
We are over halfway through 2024, and as usual, I've only had two Taiwanese BLs (Unknown, Anti Reset), so even though I'm sitting on a stack of BLs to watch every single week from other countries, call me Smaug because I need MORE!
Honorary Korean BL: Uncovering the Curse of Taekwondo (2024)
Former friends (and possibly lovers) reunite at a funeral after going their separate ways for over a decade, but, honestly, I don't care about the plot because this comes from Hwang Da Seul who was behind Blueming, To My Star, and Where Your Eyes Linger, so I know it's going to be amazing. There is a movie and a series version, and the movie already premiered at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea at the beginning of July. The runtime was 154 minutes, but the series is eight episodes around thirty minutes each and is currently seeking distribution.
First Note of Love (August 2024)
My most beloved, Charles Tu, from my favorite BL HIStory 4: Close to You is finally returning to me in the form of a washed-up singer who stepped away from the spotlight due to a tragic event only to be dragged back in by an up-and-coming composer who is also a longtime fan. It is a joint production with Thailand's Star Hunter Entertainment (the company behind Big Dragon, Love Senior, City of Stars, and Sunset x Vibes) and features a side couple of a Thai singer and a Taiwanese agent. It will involve singing, but I'm already too comfortable in my seat with my snacks to care.
Fragrance of the First Flower Season 2 (2024)
The lone GL holding down this list finished filming late last year and Gagaoolala has been releasing BTS images since filming began, so it'll likely land there once it is released. The series is a continuation of the 2021 first season, which people were not thrilled about because of the ending, so this season should solve some of the angst we were left with by exploring the two women actually coming together to navigate life as a couple.
The Only One (August 2024)
Directed by Liu Kuang Hui, who directed Your Name Engraved Herein, written by the same folks behind The Untamed, and based on Mu Su Li's novel A Certain Someone which is about two boys whose parents are dating and move in together, so the mains go from enemies-to-??? and the only reason for the question marks on a Taiwanese BL is because the word on these BL streets (and his MDL page) is one of the actors works heavily in China, so this might be the reason this one has been was in limbo even though filming finished earlier this year, but the socials are still posting it's coming this year.
See Your Love (Filming Complete)
This co-production with Japan is about a rich man who falls in love with his hearing-impaired caregiver. It finished filming at the end of May and will have those sweet sweet Taiwanese BL cameos from some Be Loved in House: I Do and Plus and Minus folks PLUS it will be the first cameos for the Kiseki: Dear to Me guys since the company that produced their show is the same one for this show.
Impression of Youth (Filming Complete)
Very little is known about the plot of this teacher-student romance, but it comes from the same folks who produced DNA Says Love You and one of the mains, Muji Hsu, was also the lead in 2020's Because of You. Filming finished at the end of May, and the company stated it would be out before the end of the year.
Islanders (late 2024/early 2025)
This is based on a novel, Islands, by Lolita Hu, features some well known Taiwanese actors, and for a bit was under the name Sea of Intimacy. It's being presented as an 'older BL' but the MDL summary is sparse of the BL-plot: Hung, a successful entrepreneur, has three intimate relationships: his wife, his mistress, and his girlfriend. The lives of these individuals in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s are intertwined because of romance, but their story extends beyond that. When Hung faces criticism on social media and loses everything, the way they react tells us how they see the world.
Wishing Upon the Shooting Star & The Young Gangster (2025)
These two deal with completely different plots but are together because of one reason: Ray Jiang. He is the director for these two and was the director for Unknown, My Tooth Your Love, and We Best Love. The companies behind them have stated the series are coming next year, but the guess is Ray's busy schedule is part of the hold up since he has a Netflix series in the works and apparently a film featuring Sam Lin (We Best Love) on the way. The Young Gangster is based on a novel and deals with a research assistant gathering information on the mafia (and we know how the mafia works in BLs), while Shooting Star deals with a man wishing that nobody notices him once he returns to his hometown after being fired. The wish backfires and nobody recognizes him, not even his dad or the boy he confessed to in high school! BL Mafia, Sideways Wishes, and Ray Ray are my favorite types of snacks!
Pray in Love (2025?)
youtube
A police officer falls in love with a man only to realize that man is the son of a prominent leader on the day of his arranged wedding in which he was hired as security for the event. The series already released a short film of the basic premise for fundraising efforts and festival rounds. Apparently, filming has started on the series, but there is no concrete confirmation from the production company.
Eternal Butler (2025)
Edited to add thanks to @cankersoregirl! This is a sequel to VBL's Anti Reset and began filming in early July. It focuses on Ever 4 who is sent to be a bodyguard for a young rich man only to encounter a rebellious man.
That Year, 162 Rainfalls (In Production?)
Is this a movie? Is it a series? Is it happening?! Who knows, but last year, it finally got funding and a director attached to it, but the real kicker is Lin Pei Yu is the screenwriter, and she is the writer behind all of my favorite Taiwanese BLs: We Best Love, HIStory 3: Trapped, My Tooth Your Love, Kiseki: Dear to Me, and so much more. Basically, the company struck gold getting her for this story about two archers and best friends. One gets confessed to but admits he actually is in love with his best friend, but before love can happen, the best friend has an accident and falls into a coma. It is based on a novel of the same name, and the plot is way more hefty than this, but I know Lin Pei Yu will make it work!
Four Seasons (Pre, Pre, PRE-Production?)
This is supposed to be four different stories focusing on different seasons, and is rumored to be VBL's next group of shows since the company has stated it wants to continue its formula from last year of releasing slightly connected shows. VBL/Vidol was behind Stay by My Side, VIP Only, You Are Mine, and Anti Reset. Winter is about a scrooge CEO and a florist who is hired to decorate for the CEO's Christmas event. Spring is about two boys meeting on a bus and falling in love over music. Summer is about a market owner and a chef falling in love over food. Autumn is about two former best friends seeing each other ten years after graduating and exploring their hometown together.
Connecting to You (Pre-Production?)
It seems to have gotten funding, but it's been quiet since which isn't surprising because when it comes to Taiwanese BLs, nothing is really heard until filming begins or even after it ends. I still have my hopes high because this is *THE* BL for me as it deals with a man who can see colored threads connecting people and one day runs into a policeman whose thread connects to him. The thread between them begins to change color, from silver-grey to yellow, representing friendship, and even to red, representing love. If I have to sell an organ or two to fund this myself, I. Will. Do. It. I NEED THIS!
And this wouldn't be a Petty Post if I didn't include this final one:
HIStory 15: Freed (GIVE IT TO ME!)
I don't care if this a long shot. I don't care if I seem crazy always asking for this. I. Deserve. It. HIStory 3: Trapped ended with our best mafia boy in prison, and it's time he got out! The HIStory franchise has not had a series since 2022's HIStory 5: Love in the Future, and although there have been rumors that a HERstory story might be next, I think bringing back a popular story would be just as good. I will ask for this every chance I can until I get it, and I plan on living a long life, so I got time!

100 INDULGENT TROPES
A collection of one hundred tropes of varying nature. Spiritual successor to my previous An Extremely Self-Indulgent Meme. Some of these pair well together and can easily be sent in various combinations. Some are also highly suggestive in nature. Engage appropriately.
one muse steps protectively in front of the other
one muse tends to the other’s injury
one muse is not acting like themselves and the other has to snap them out of it
one muse kisses the other during an argument
one muse pins the other to a wall
one muse kisses the other on their hand or wrist
one muse kisses the other on their neck or shoulder
one muse helps the other put on a necklace or tie
our muses aren’t supposed to be together but keep meeting anyway (on purpose or by accident)
our muses have a secret relationship
one muse takes a blow meant for the the other

I really liked the scenario with Y/N Cookie in Deliciously Evil Banquet, I now actually wanna see a scenario where both them and PV get ambushed in the latter’s quarters and the subsequent abduction. I’m curious, would Pomegranate Cookie use her magic on Y/N Cookie? If so, what would she make them see?
Pomegranate wanted to see Pure Vanilla be horrified at what he saw to match her hatred for the ancient cookie, she’s the exact opposite when it comes to you however.
She’ll show you visions of your future, a future you have no way of changing or stopping. There was only a future of darkness awaiting you, cookies running in terror and even your friends being unable to stop what you’ll become.
The visions will tempt you with memories of your former love whom you’ve said you’ve moved on from, but Pomegranate Cookie could see right through your soul, you still yearn to be reunited with that former lover.
Dark Enchantress Cookie herself will call out to you in these visions, the darkness IS your destiny. Who needs friends and family when you could have immense power then what you already have now!
You clutch your head, trying to tell yourself that all this wasn’t real. Refusing to look at the visions, seeing your friends horrified and the ancients falling one by one, you struggle to stop these thoughts from seeping in.
Until Dark Enchantress Cookie manifested in front of you, a hand to your cheek making you look up at her.
“Your fate lies within darkness. Isn’t that right, Harbinger Cookie?”
You felt yourself plummet into the darkness recesses of your mind, reaching up for something, anything to grab onto…
You never would, though.
There would be no escaping the metaphorical and literal cage you were in now.
At least, for a while.

Note: First of all, I want to thank all of you for all the support you showed me on my last few fics. It means a lot, thank you so much 🫶🤞Thank you for your request, I gave it my own little spin so I hope you like it! Enjoy 🤍
Reader x Tim Bradford
Genre: Fluff/tiny bit of angst (if you squint lol)
The police station buzzed with the usual chaos: phones ringing, officers shuffling through files, and the occasional banter to lighten the tension of their work.
But the air shifted when the captain’s door opened, revealing Commander Grey alongside a woman in an impeccably tailored suit.
The first thing people noticed about her wasn’t her striking appearance, though that was undeniable.
It was the way she carried herself; shoulders squared, gaze sharp, exuding an air of authority and control.
It was the look of someone who had seen the worst humanity had to offer and lived to tell the tale.
“Who’s that?” Jackson West muttered to Lucy Chen as they leaned against the edge of their desks.
“No idea,” Lucy replied, narrowing her eyes at the mysterious newcomer. “But she screams FBI.”
Angela Lopez walked up, crossing her arms. “She doesn’t just scream it, she’s it. Look at the badge on her belt.”
“Great,” Lucy said under her breath. “Another suit to look down on us.”
As the whispers spread, Tim Bradford entered the bullpen, his usual brisk and no-nonsense demeanor firmly in place.
His sharp eyes scanned the room, narrowing when he caught sight of the figure beside Grey.
For the first time in what felt like forever, Tim froze mid-step.
It was you.
The last time Tim Bradford had seen you, the two of you had been tangled in a mess of emotions.
It was a heated goodbye neither of you wanted but both knew was necessary.
You had been on the fast track, transitioning from your time in the Marines to the FBI with an ambition he respected but couldn’t keep up with.
He was a police officer with roots too deep to pull up, and your career demanded a level of movement and detachment that didn’t fit into his world.
The chemistry between you had been undeniable, volatile at times, but magnetic.
When you were together, it was like nothing else existed. But the breakup wasn’t ugly; it was bittersweet.
You’d left with mutual respect and more than a little unresolved tension.
And now, years later, you were back.
“Bradford!” Grey’s voice snapped him out of his daze. “I need you for this.”
Tim approached, his expression unreadable, though the quick flicker of surprise in his eyes didn’t escape you.
You tilted your head slightly, a small smirk tugging at your lips.
“Sergeant Bradford,” you said smoothly, your voice carrying the same confident edge he remembered.
“Agent Y/L/N,” he replied evenly, his tone giving nothing away.
“Wait,” Lucy whispered loudly to Angela and Jackson, “he knows her?!”
The case was a high-stakes operation that had everyone on edge. For months, the LAPD had been chasing leads on a sprawling human trafficking ring operating across state lines.
The criminals were highly organized, using fake businesses and offshore accounts to cover their tracks, and their connections ran deep, involving corrupt officials and dangerous enforcers.
Every lead the LAPD pursued seemed to hit a dead end. Frustration was mounting, especially for Tim Bradford, whose no-nonsense approach had been tested by the complexity of the operation.
The captain had finally called in a favor with the FBI, hoping a fresh perspective and federal resources could turn the tide.
That’s when they sent you.
When Commander Grey introduced you as the FBI agent assigned to the case, the bullpen had gone silent.
Your reputation had preceded you, not just as a skilled investigator but as a former Marine who was known for your grit and relentless pursuit of justice.
Tim’s coworkers were impressed, though they couldn’t help but notice the palpable tension between you and the sergeant.
“We’ve been tracking this network for years,” you explained during the initial briefing, clicking through a presentation of maps, photos, and suspect profiles.
“They use legitimate businesses, restaurants, shipping companies, as fronts for their operations. They’ve been moving people through LA under the radar, and we believe this city is a critical hub in their network.”
Lucy Chen leaned forward, studying one of the photos. “How are they avoiding detection?”
“Fake documents, forged permits, and insider help,” you said grimly.
“We suspect they have someone on the inside tipping them off. That’s why every move we make has to be airtight.”
Tim, seated at the back of the room, crossed his arms. “And what’s the endgame here? Arrest a few mid-level operatives while the bosses disappear?”
You met his gaze evenly. “The goal is to dismantle the entire network. That means taking down everyone, from the enforcers on the ground to the kingpins running the show.”
The room fell silent, the weight of the task settling over the team.
As the precinct buzzed with the aftermath of the sting operation's success, the atmosphere began to lighten.
Officers filtered out one by one, their weariness mingled with satisfaction.
You were seated at a table with a pile of paperwork, methodically logging the details of the operation, when Tim approached, his face unreadable but his presence grounding.
“Looks like the big bad FBI agent has paperwork too,” he teased, setting down a mug of coffee next to you.
“Don’t think for a second you’re exempt, Bradford,” you shot back, smirking as you gestured toward his own untouched stack of forms.
“Or is LAPD above such mundane tasks?”
“Not a chance,” he quipped, pulling out a chair and settling beside you.
Your easy banter didn’t go unnoticed. Lucy and Angela exchanged a curious glance from across the bullpen, while Jackson leaned closer to Nolan, whispering something that made him grin.
Eventually, Angela couldn’t resist. She sauntered over, her arms crossed and an amused expression on her face.
“So,” Angela began, dragging out the word. “How exactly do you two know each other?”
Tim stiffened slightly, though he didn’t look up from the file he was reviewing.
“Work,” he said curtly, clearly trying to shut down the conversation.
You arched an eyebrow at his abruptness but decided to play along. “We’ve crossed paths before,” you said vaguely, keeping your tone neutral.
Angela wasn’t satisfied. “Crossed paths? That’s it? Because the two of you seem awfully... in sync.”
Lucy, unable to resist joining in, pulled up a chair.
“Yeah, it’s like you’re finishing each other’s sentences out there. Spill. Is this some FBI-Marine/army secret society thing?”
Tim finally glanced up, his expression a mixture of exasperation and amusement. “We’ve worked together before. End of story.”
“Oh, come on, Bradford,” Nolan chimed in, grinning. “You can’t just drop breadcrumbs and expect us not to follow.”
You exchanged a glance with Tim, silently communicating whether or not to indulge them.
His slight shake of the head told you all you needed to know: he wasn’t about to open up. Still, you decided to throw them a bone.
“Let’s just say Tim and I have some shared history in... high-stress situations,” you said, your tone deliberately cryptic.
Lucy’s eyes lit up. “Oh, like what? You were partners? Rivals?”
“Or lovers?” Angela added slyly, clearly enjoying Tim’s discomfort.
Tim shot her a sharp look. “Focus on your own love life, Lopez.”
“Oh, relax,” Angela said, waving a hand. “We’re just curious. It’s not every day we see you get along with someone.”
You bit back a laugh, deciding to rescue him. “It’s complicated, okay? And classified.”
That seemed to satisfy them... For now.
They dispersed, though you caught them glancing back occasionally, whispering among themselves.
Tim let out a low sigh, running a hand through his hair.
“Classified?” he echoed, a smirk tugging at his lips.
“You’re welcome,” you replied with a wink, returning to your paperwork.
Later that evening, when the station was nearly empty, Tim and you were left alone to tie up loose ends.
The earlier teasing lingered in the air, but now it felt like a private joke between the two of you.
“You think they’ll let it go?” you asked, leaning back in your chair.
“Not a chance,” Tim said dryly. “Lopez will probably turn it into a guessing game, and Chen will dig through every detail of my life.”
You chuckled. “They seem like a good group.”
“They are,” Tim admitted, his voice softening. “Annoying, but good.”
There was a brief pause, then he looked at you with a hint of a smile. “Thanks for handling that back there.”
You shrugged. “Part of the job, Bradford. I’ve got your six, remember?”
His expression shifted, something more serious flickering in his eyes. “I know you do. Always have.”
You held his gaze for a moment longer, the weight of his words settling over you like a warm blanket.
Then, with a faint smile, you nudged his stack of paperwork toward him.
“Now finish your reports, Sergeant,” you teased.
The morning after your arrival at the station, you found yourself in the briefing room, surrounded by Tim and his team.
The station buzzed with an energy you hadn’t felt since your days in the Marines.
As a former Marine turned FBI agent, you were used to commanding respect and navigating high-pressure situations.
Today, though, you were walking into a hornet’s nest.
Grey stood at the front of the room, the case details projected on the screen behind him.
“Alright, people, listen up. We’re working with Agent Y/L/N on this one, so I expect full cooperation.”
Your name was enough to draw a few looks, especially after yesterday’s whispers about your connection to Tim.
You stayed professional, though, your expression unreadable as Grey continued.
“The target is Ethan Marlow,” Grey said, gesturing to a mugshot on the screen.
A rugged man with a scar across his cheek and an unmistakable smirk stared back at the room.
“Suspected arms dealer. We’ve been trying to nail him for months, but he’s slippery. Last week, we got a tip that he’s planning a major shipment through the Los Angeles docks.”
You stepped forward, holding a remote to switch slides.
“Marlow’s operation is large, but he’s not untouchable. My team and I have been tracking his movements across state lines, and we believe his associates are using a shell company to smuggle weapons through legitimate cargo shipments.”
Lucy raised her hand. “Why not just hit the docks and seize the cargo?”
“Because Marlow doesn’t work alone,” you replied, flipping to a map that highlighted his network.
“His associates are just as dangerous, and if we spook them, they’ll scatter. We need to cut off the head of the operation. That means Marlow.”
Tim’s eyes flicked to you, his brows furrowing slightly.
He wasn’t used to taking orders from anyone, but he respected competence. And you? You radiated it.
Angela chimed in. “What’s our play?”
You glanced at her, then looked back at the team.
“Marlow’s hosting a private party at a nightclub downtown tonight. It’s our best shot at getting close to him.”
“Undercover?” Nolan asked, leaning forward.
You nodded. “Exactly. We’ve got a cover story and fake identities for two officers. You’ll mingle, gather intel, and plant a tracker on Marlow’s vehicle.”
Tim leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. “And who’s going in?”
You paused, meeting his gaze directly.
“You and I.”
The room seemed to hold its breath. Tim’s lips quirked into a faint smirk, his demeanor calm despite the weight of your suggestion.
Angela raised an eyebrow. “Well, this just got interesting.”
As the team dispersed to prepare for the operation, you caught up with Tim in the hallway.
The sound of your boots echoed against the tiled floor as you fell into step beside him.
“Was that a problem?” you asked, glancing up at him.
He shrugged. “Nope. Just wondering how you managed to finagle me into this.”
A sly smile curved your lips. “Thought you’d appreciate the chance to dress up.”
Tim chuckled, low and warm. “You’ve got jokes.”
There was a pause as you both walked in companionable silence.
Memories of your past flashed unbidden in your mind, the long nights on stakeouts, the adrenaline-fueled moments of action, and the quieter times, when his touch was all you needed to feel safe.
“Remember the first time we worked together?” you asked softly.
Tim glanced at you, his expression softening. “Yeah. That drug bust in San Diego. You saved my ass.”
“You were pinned down,” you reminded him, smirking. “I didn’t have a choice.”
He shook his head, his voice quieter. “You didn’t hesitate. Not once.”
“It’s what we do,” you said simply, though your heart warmed at the admiration in his voice.
Tim stopped walking, turning to face you. “Y/N... what happened with us... back then—I never really got a chance to explain.”
You held up a hand, cutting him off gently. “Tim, it’s okay. We both had our reasons.”
“But you’re here now,” he said, his voice steady. “That’s what matters.”
For a moment, the unspoken history between you hung in the air, a tangible thread connecting the past to the present.
Then, the sound of a door opening down the hall broke the moment, and you both fell back into step.
Later that evening, you stood in front of the mirror, adjusting your earpiece and smoothing out the sleek black dress you’d chosen for the undercover op.
Tim emerged from the adjacent room, his suit perfectly tailored, exuding confidence. His gaze flicked to you, lingering a beat too long.
“Looking good, Agent,” he remarked, his voice teasing but low enough to send a shiver down your spine.
“You clean up nicely yourself, Bradford,” you replied, adjusting his tie.
As you rode to the nightclub together, the tension in the air was palpable, not the bad kind, but the kind that made your pulse quicken and your senses sharpen.
You exchanged glances, each silently acknowledging the trust you’d built through years of working together.
Inside the club, the operation went off smoothly, at least at first. You and Tim played your parts to perfection, your chemistry undeniable as you mingled with the crowd.
Marlow was sharp, but not sharp enough to see through your cover. It wasn’t until a hiccup in the plan, a sudden appearance of Marlow’s enforcers, that things took a dangerous turn.
The nightclub pulsed with the heavy bass of music, its dim lighting and crowded space creating an almost oppressive atmosphere.
You navigated the sea of people with ease, Tim trailing behind you as you both subtly scanned for your target.
Marlow was seated in a VIP booth, surrounded by his entourage, his laughter echoing through the space.
Tim leaned closer to your ear, his voice low and steady. “We’ve got eyes on him. What’s the play?”
You turned slightly, catching his intense gaze in the neon glow. “I’ll distract him. You plant the tracker.”
His jaw tightened. “You sure about that?”
“Tim,” you said, your tone firm. “I’ve done this a hundred times.”
“That doesn’t mean I like it,” he muttered, but he didn’t argue further.
Adjusting your posture, you approached Marlow’s booth with the confidence of someone who belonged.
His eyes flicked to you immediately, a sly grin spreading across his face as he motioned for you to come closer.
“Well, well,” he said, his voice thick with amusement. “Who do we have here?”
You gave him a coy smile, slipping into character. “Someone who heard you’re the man to know in this town.”
As you spoke, you felt Tim’s presence nearby, his movements precise as he maneuvered around the booth.
The tension in your shoulders eased slightly, until one of Marlow’s men, a bulky enforcer with a sharp gaze, stood abruptly, his eyes narrowing on Tim.
“Who’s this guy?” the enforcer barked, his voice cutting through the din.
Tim didn’t miss a beat. “Relax. I’m just here to grab a drink.”
The enforcer didn’t look convinced. Marlow waved a hand, his focus still on you. “He’s fine. Sit down.”
Tim used the distraction to slide the tracker beneath the table, his hand steady despite the close proximity of Marlow’s crew.
You kept the conversation light, your laughter carefully timed, your every move calculated to keep the target’s attention on you.
But just as you thought you were in the clear, Marlow’s phone buzzed.
He glanced at it, his expression shifting to one of suspicion. “Excuse me for a moment.”
He stood abruptly, motioning for his men to follow.
Your heart raced as you exchanged a look with Tim, both of you realizing the same thing: something was off.
As Marlow disappeared into a back room, you and Tim quickly regrouped.
“He’s onto us,” Tim said, his voice low but urgent.
“We need to pull out,” you replied, scanning the room for the nearest exit.
Before you could move, one of Marlow’s men appeared, his gun drawn. The tension in the air snapped like a live wire.
Tim stepped in front of you instinctively, his stance protective.
“Easy,” Tim said, his tone calm but authoritative. “We’re just leaving.”
The man didn’t budge, his finger twitching near the trigger. You acted quickly, your Marine instincts kicking in as you disarmed him with a swift, calculated movement.
The gun clattered to the floor, and chaos erupted.
Tim grabbed your hand, pulling you through the panicked crowd as more of Marlow’s men gave chase.
The music and flashing lights blurred into a cacophony of sound and color as you navigated the crowded dance floor, your adrenaline surging.
“Out the back!” Tim shouted, his grip on your hand firm.
You burst through the back exit, the cool night air hitting your skin like a shock.
Tim covered you as you drew your weapon, both of you taking defensive positions as Marlow’s men spilled into the alley.
Shots rang out, the sharp crack of gunfire echoing in the narrow space.
By the time backup arrived, the scene was secured, and Marlow’s operation was compromised.
You stood with Tim in the aftermath, both of you catching your breath as you surveyed the chaos.
“You okay?” Tim asked, his voice steady despite the adrenaline still pumping through his veins.
“I’m fine,” you replied, though your hands were still trembling slightly. “You?”
“I’m good,” he said, his eyes lingering on you. “You didn’t have to jump in like that.”
You gave him a wry smile. “What? And let you play hero? Not a chance.”
His lips twitched into a small grin, but the concern in his gaze remained. “You scared the hell out of me back there.”
Before you could respond, Captain Grey approached, his expression a mix of relief and frustration. “Nice work, Agent Y/L/N. But next time, let’s try to avoid a full-blown shootout.”
“Noted,” you said, nodding.
Back at the station, the air surrounded with residual energy from the operation.
As everyone debriefed, Lucy sidled up to Angela, her eyes flicking between you and Tim, who were standing a little too close for professional comfort.
“Okay, what’s the deal with them?” Lucy whispered.
Angela smirked. “I don’t know, but I’m dying to find out.”
Nolan, ever the curious one, joined in. “You think they’ve really worked together before?”
“Obviously,” Angela said, her tone teasing. “But there’s definitely more to it.”
Harper chimed in, her arms crossed as she observed from a distance. “They’ve got history. You can see it.”
As the group speculated, Tim and you shared a glance, both aware of the unspoken questions hanging in the air.
For now, though, you kept your history, and the rekindled spark between you, to yourselves.
Later that evening, after the precinct had quieted down, you and Tim found yourselves in the dimly lit briefing room, both reviewing reports from the operation.
The silence between you wasn’t uncomfortable, it was thick with unspoken words, lingering tension, and the familiarity of years past.
Tim glanced up from his file, his voice breaking the quiet. “You were incredible out there today.”
You smirked, not looking up from your notes. “I know.”
He chuckled, the sound low and warm. “Still as humble as ever, I see.”
Setting your pen down, you met his gaze, your expression softening. “Coming from you, I’ll take that as a compliment.”
There was a beat of silence before he spoke again, his tone turning more serious.
“You scared me back there, you know. When that guy pulled the gun.”
“I’ve been in worse situations,” you said with a small shrug, trying to downplay it.
“Doesn’t make it easier to watch,” he replied, his jaw tightening.
The vulnerability in his voice caught you off guard.
You leaned back in your chair, folding your arms. “Tim, I’ve been doing this a long time. I know the risks.”
“I know you do,” he said, his voice quieter now. “But that doesn’t mean I’m okay with you putting yourself in the line of fire.”
“Funny,” you said, tilting your head. “That’s exactly how I felt about you the last time we worked together.”
He didn’t respond immediately, his eyes searching yours as if trying to gauge how much of the past you were willing to bring up.
Finally, he leaned forward, resting his forearms on the table. “And how did that work out for you?”
You gave him a pointed look. “Not great, Bradford. You have a way of making people care whether they want to or not.”
His lips quirked into a faint smile. “Same could be said for you.”
The words hung between you, heavy with the weight of everything left unsaid.
A few hours later, after the station had emptied out, Tim offered to drive you back to your temporary FBI accommodations.
The ride was quiet at first, the hum of the engine filling the space.
“Still driving this beast?” you teased, gesturing to his truck.
He grinned. “Reliable. Like me.”
You snorted. “Debatable.”
As the truck came to a stop outside your building, he shifted in his seat to face you. “Listen, I’ve been thinking…”
“That sounds dangerous,” you quipped, trying to lighten the mood.
He didn’t laugh. Instead, he reached for your hand, his touch gentle but firm. “I’ve missed you, Y/N. Not just working with you. You.”
Your breath caught, the sincerity in his eyes nearly undoing you. “Tim…”
“I know we didn’t end things the way we wanted,” he continued, his voice steady but soft. “But seeing you again… it’s like no time has passed. And I can’t ignore it anymore.”
You looked down at your intertwined hands, your heart racing. “Tim, this job… our lives… nothing’s simple.”
“I’m not asking for simple,” he said, his tone resolute. “I’m asking for you. Whatever that looks like.”
The words hit you like a punch to the gut, raw and honest in a way you weren’t sure you were ready for.
But as you looked at him, his expression equal parts hopeful and vulnerable, you realized that maybe you were.
The next day, you arrived at the station to find Tim waiting for you, two cups of coffee in hand.
He handed you one without a word, his fingers brushing against yours.
The small gesture sent a spark through you, a silent acknowledgment of the conversation you’d had the night before.
As you worked through the details of the case, the team’s curiosity about your relationship with Tim only grew.
Lucy, ever the inquisitive one, cornered you during a quiet moment.
“So,” she began, her tone casual but her eyes sharp. “You and Tim—what’s the story there?”
You smirked, taking a sip of your coffee. “You’ll have to ask him.”
When Lucy relayed this to Angela, Nolan, and Harper, it only fueled their determination.
During a briefing, Nolan couldn’t help but ask outright. “How exactly do you two know each other?”
Tim shot him a look that could wither a cactus. “Not your business, Nolan.”
Angela leaned back in her chair, smirking. “Interesting. Usually, you’re a lot less… protective.”
“Drop it,” Tim said, his tone leaving no room for argument. But the subtle way his eyes flicked to you didn’t go unnoticed.
Later, after the team had dispersed, you found Tim waiting for you by your car.
He leaned against it, his arms crossed, his expression unreadable.
“You okay?” you asked, approaching him.
He nodded, then gestured for you to come closer. When you did, he pulled you into a quick, fierce hug, the suddenness of it catching you off guard.
Not expecting the cold, grumpy Tim Bradford to behave this way.
“What’s that for?” you asked, your voice muffled against his chest.
“Just wanted to,” he said simply, his tone soft.
As you stood there in the quiet of the parking lot, you realized that while the job might be dangerous and the past might be complicated, having Tim by your side made it all feel a little less daunting.
The next morning, you arrived at the station to find Tim already in the war room.
He stood in front of a large board covered with photos, timelines, and maps, his focus intense.
It was a scene you were familiar with, Tim Bradford in full mission mode.
“Morning,” you said, stepping inside with a coffee in hand.
He turned, his expression softening when he saw you. “Morning. Got started early.”
“I can see that.” You handed him a second coffee. “Figured you might need this.”
He took it with a small smile. “You know me too well.”
You shrugged, feigning nonchalance. “Old habits die hard.”
The two of you stood side by side, going over the latest developments in the case.
The criminal organization you were tracking was sophisticated, with layers of secrecy and a network of loyal operatives.
It was the kind of operation that required precision, patience, and trust.
“I think they’re using the docks as a secondary drop point,” you said, tapping a location on the map.
“We need to get eyes on it, but we can’t tip them off.”
Tim nodded. “Agreed. Harper and I can run surveillance. You and Nolan can follow up on the warehouse lead.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Nolan? You’re pairing me with a rookie?”
“He’s not a rookie anymore,” Tim replied, smirking. “And I trust him.”
“Fine,” you said, pretending to grumble. “But if he slows me down, I’m holding you personally responsible.”
Tim chuckled. “Noted.”
As the day progressed, the rest of the team couldn’t help but notice the easy rapport between you and Tim.
Lucy, always perceptive, leaned over to Angela as the two of you passed by.
“They’re definitely hiding something,” she whispered.
“Obviously,” Angela replied. “But what? They act like they’ve known each other forever.”
Harper, overhearing the conversation, chimed in. “Whatever it is, Tim’s not going to spill. You know how he is.”
“Yeah,” Lucy said, grinning. “But Y/N might be more willing to share.”
The three women exchanged a conspiratorial look before following you into the bullpen.
“So,” Lucy began, leaning casually against a desk. “How’s working with Tim treating you?”
You glanced up from your notes, arching an eyebrow. “Fine. Why?”
“No reason,” she said, feigning innocence. “Just curious. You two seem... close.”
“We’ve worked together before,” you said simply, refusing to elaborate.
Angela smirked. “And how did that go?”
“About as well as you’d expect,” you replied, your tone even.
Their curiosity only grew, but before they could press further, Tim appeared, his presence effectively ending the conversation.
He shot you a look as if to ask if you were okay. You gave him a subtle nod, and he relaxed.
Later that evening, the team gathered to finalize the operational plan. The stakes were high, if the operation failed, it could mean months of lost work and the possibility of the suspects disappearing altogether.
“The docks are our best shot,” Harper said, her tone firm. “But we need solid backup. These guys won’t go down without a fight.”
“I’ll take point,” you said without hesitation.
Tim frowned. “No way. It’s too risky.”
You met his gaze, your expression unwavering. “I can handle it.”
“I know you can,” he said, his voice quieter. “But I’m not letting you go in alone.”
The room fell silent as the tension between you and Tim became palpable.
The rest of the team exchanged glances but didn’t intervene.
“Fine,” you said finally. “But don’t slow me down.”
Tim’s lips quirked into a small smile. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
The docks were dark and quiet, the salty breeze carrying a faint hint of diesel and seaweed.
You and Tim crouched behind a stack of shipping containers, eyes scanning the area for any sign of movement.
The operation had reached its climax, and you were at the forefront of the action.
“I count three guards near the north entrance,” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the distant hum of machinery.
Tim nodded, his gaze sharp. “Two more near the warehouse entrance. Harper’s team is covering the perimeter.”
You adjusted your earpiece, your heart steady despite the tension. This wasn’t your first high-stakes operation, and you knew it wouldn’t be your last.
But there was something different about this one. Working alongside Tim brought a layer of intensity and focus you hadn’t felt in years.
“On my signal,” Tim said, his voice calm but authoritative. “We take out the guards at the north entrance first. Quietly.”
You nodded, your fingers tightening around your weapon. “Got it.”
As the seconds ticked by, you felt Tim shift closer to you. His shoulder brushed against yours, a subtle reminder that he had your back.
Despite the danger, his presence was grounding, a steady force in the chaos.
“Ready?” he asked, his voice low.
“Always,” you replied, a small smirk playing on your lips.
The operation moved quickly. You and Tim approached the guards with practiced precision, each movement coordinated and silent.
When the first guard turned, you stepped forward, delivering a swift and calculated blow that sent him crumpling to the ground.
Tim handled the second guard with equal efficiency, his movements smooth and controlled.
“Clear,” you whispered, signaling to the rest of the team.
From the earpiece, Harper’s voice came through. “Perimeter’s secure. We’re moving in.”
You and Tim pressed forward, making your way toward the warehouse.
The massive structure loomed ahead, its rusted exterior illuminated by flickering floodlights.
Inside, you knew the operation’s ringleader was waiting, along with the final pieces of evidence needed to bring the entire organization down.
As you reached the entrance, Tim glanced at you, his expression serious. “You good?”
You gave him a confident nod. “Let’s finish this.”
The air inside the warehouse was heavy with the scent of oil and metal.
Stacks of crates and pallets created a labyrinth of narrow pathways, each one more precarious than the last.
You and Tim moved silently, your weapons at the ready.
“Two o’clock,” Tim murmured, gesturing toward a shadowy figure near the back of the room.
You nodded, signaling that you’d cover him. Tim moved ahead, his steps deliberate and soundless.
He closed the distance to the suspect with remarkable speed, subduing him before he had a chance to react.
But just as the suspect hit the ground, the room erupted in chaos.
Another figure appeared, shouting a warning that sent the rest of the criminals scrambling.
“Contact!” you shouted into your earpiece, diving behind a stack of crates as gunfire erupted.
Tim dropped beside you, his expression tight. “We’ve got to neutralize them before they make a run for it.”
“On it,” you said, your adrenaline surging.
The two of you moved as a unit, covering each other as you advanced through the warehouse.
You took down one suspect after another, your training and instincts kicking in with precision.
Tim’s presence beside you was a constant, his sharp commands and quick reflexes ensuring that you were always one step ahead of the danger.
As the chaos subsided, you found yourself face-to-face with the ringleader.
He stood in the center of the room, a smug grin on his face as he held a gun pointed in your direction.
“Drop it,” you ordered, your voice cold and commanding.
The man chuckled, shaking his head. “You don’t scare me.”
“You should be scared,” Tim said, stepping beside you. His tone was low and menacing, his weapon trained on the suspect.
For a moment, the air was thick with tension. Then, with a sudden burst of movement, the suspect lunged toward a nearby crate. But he didn’t get far.
In a flash, you and Tim fired simultaneously, your shots hitting their mark with precision.
The suspect crumpled to the ground, his weapon clattering harmlessly to the floor.
“Clear,” Tim said, his voice steady.
You nodded, lowering your weapon. The adrenaline began to ebb, leaving you with a sense of relief and satisfaction.
“Nice shot,” you said, glancing at Tim.
“Right back at you,” he replied, a small smile tugging at his lips.
As the rest of the team secured the scene and processed the suspects, you and Tim stepped outside to catch your breath.
The cool night air was a welcome contrast to the stifling heat of the warehouse.
“That was intense,” you said, leaning against a nearby railing.
Tim chuckled, shaking his head. “Just another day at the office.”
You rolled your eyes, but a smile crept onto your face. “You’re impossible.”
“And you’re reckless,” he shot back, his tone teasing. “But I guess that’s why we make a good team.”
The banter felt easy and familiar, a reminder of the connection you shared.
As the night wore on, you couldn’t help but feel grateful for the chance to work alongside Tim again, even if it meant navigating the complexities of your past and present.
But one thing was clear: together, you were a force to be reckoned with.
After the successful operation, the precinct was buzzing with activity. Arrests had been made, evidence was secured, and the team was riding the high of a job well done.
You and Tim lingered in the bullpen, going over the final report. The room had emptied out, leaving the two of you alone.
Repeating the same praises and compliments to each other.
“You were amazing out there,” Tim said, his voice low.
“You weren’t so bad yourself,” you replied, smirking.
He chuckled, leaning back in his chair. “So, what now? Back to the FBI?”
“For now,” you said. “But I’m sure our paths will cross again.”
“I’m counting on it,” he said, his gaze steady.
There was a beat of silence before he added, “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever worked with anyone like you.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Is that a compliment?”
“Definitely,” he said, his tone warm.
The two of you sat in comfortable silence for a moment before he reached out, his hand brushing against yours.
It was a small gesture, but it carried a weight of unspoken feelings.
“Y/N,” he said softly,
“I know we’ve been dancing around this, but... I’ve missed having you in my life. Not just as a partner. As you.”
Your breath caught, his words sinking in. “Tim, I—”
Before you could finish, he leaned in, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that was equal parts tender and passionate.
It was a moment of clarity, the past and present colliding in a way that felt inevitable.
When he pulled back, his eyes searched yours. “Tell me this isn’t just me.”
“It’s not,” you whispered, your voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions. “It never has been.”
While the road ahead wasn’t without its challenges, one thing was clear: together, you were unstoppable.
The next day, you found yourself back at the LAPD station, but there was an odd tension in the air.
You had already wrapped up your part of the case, and you were supposed to head back to the FBI, but something kept pulling you back to this familiar place, and to Tim.
As you entered the station, you couldn’t help but notice the curious glances from his coworkers.
You tried to brush it off, but the whispers had already begun. You knew exactly why. The mission was over, so why were you still here?
Nolan, Angela, and Lucy were at their desks, exchanging amused looks as they watched you walk by.
Their curiosity was palpable, but they hadn’t dared to say anything, yet.
Tim sat at his desk in the busy LAPD station, sorting through a pile of paperwork.
The usual hum of phones ringing, conversations about cases, and the sound of boots echoing in the hallway filled the air.
But none of it seemed to matter. Not when his mind kept drifting back to her.
Y/N.
You had been on his mind ever since their time together last night. The way your smile made his heart skip a beat, the way your laughter felt like a melody to him, everything about you seemed to ground him, even when the world was chaos.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard the soft sound of footsteps approaching his desk.
He looked up, and there she was: Y/N. His chest tightened at the sight of her, and a smile spread across his face almost instantly.
You were standing in front of him, hands in the pockets of her jacket, looking at him with a soft but knowing smile.
You didn’t say anything at first, just took in the sight of him with those warm, familiar eyes.
"Hey," Tim said, his voice low and filled with affection, as if the word itself held a thousand meanings.
He stood up, his gaze softening when their eyes met.
Your smile grew, your heart fluttering at the sight of him. You were always struck by how effortlessly he seemed to make everything feel right, even on the busiest of days.
"Hey, yourself," you replied, your voice sweet, with a hint of playfulness.
Tim’s hand reached out instinctively, his fingers brushing against yours.
The simple touch sent a spark through both of us. It was as if the world faded away, leaving just the two of us standing in this quiet, intimate moment.
"You’re here early," Tim commented, his thumb tracing small circles on the back of your hand as you stood there together.
"I wanted to see you," you admitted, your voice a little softer than usual, a hint of shyness lacing your words. "I missed you."
His heart thudded in his chest, and without thinking, he pulled you into him, wrapping his arms around you.
You melted into him almost immediately, your head resting on his chest.
Tim closed his eyes, the familiar scent of your perfume making him feel like everything was in place.
"I missed you too," he murmured against your hair. The words were simple, but they held so much weight.
He felt the warmth of you in his arms, and it made the stresses of the day feel like nothing.
You tilted your head back slightly to look up at him. His face was inches from yours, and you could feel his breath against your skin.
You loved how close you both were. There was something about being in his arms that made everything seem okay, no matter what was happening around us.
Tim’s hand cupped your cheek gently, his thumb brushing over your skin. "You okay?" he asked softly, his voice filled with concern.
"I am now," you replied with a small smile, your hand resting over his where it gently held your face. "Just needed to see you."
Your heart raced at the way he looked at you, so open, so trusting. He leaned down, his lips grazing yours in a gentle, lingering kiss.
It was tender, soft, like the kiss had all the time in the world.
When you pulled away, Tim let out a quiet sigh, his forehead resting against yours.
"I don’t want to let go," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
"You don’t have to," you whispered back, your arms wrapping around his waist, holding him close.
Tim smiled, the corners of his lips curling up in a way that only you could make happen. "Good," he said, his voice low and full of affection.
He kissed you again, this time deeper, the kiss filled with a hunger that had been building ever since you'd parted ways the night before.
You both broke away a few moments later, your faces flushed, breaths heavy.
Tim pressed his forehead against yours again, as if trying to ground himself in the moment.
"You’re everything to me," he whispered, the words sincere and full of emotion.
It was rare saying the Tim Bradford like this, all soft. But it was the best thing you've witnessed and you wouldn't change it for anything.
You closed your eyes, your hands gently brushing through his hair.
"And you’re everything to me," you said, your voice soft but filled with so much love.
The moment stretched on, neither of you wanting to move away, to break the peace that had settled between you.
You were lost in your own world, the chaos of the station and the responsibilities of your lives fading into the background.
It was just the two of you, connected, in your own little bubble.
Finally, Tim pulled back slightly, still holding you close. He smiled at you with a softness in his eyes that only you had the power to draw out.
"I’m glad you’re here," he said, his voice a little rough from the intensity of your shared moment.
"I’m glad too," you replied, your fingers tracing small patterns across his chest. "I’m not going anywhere this time."
Tim’s heart swelled with warmth at your words. He leaned down to press a final kiss to your lips, slow and tender.
It wasn’t about passion this time, it was about the connection you had, the unspoken understanding between you.
As you broke the kiss, you smiled up at him. "I guess I should probably let you get back to work," you said, a playful glint in your eyes.
Tim chuckled, but there was a hint of reluctance in his voice. "Yeah," he agreed, his thumb brushing over your cheek one more time. "But I don’t want to let go of you."
"Then don’t," you said softly, your voice filled with a quiet promise.
"Do you think the others suspected anything?"
"Oh definitely."
Meanwhile, the others were spying on both of you, their curiosity getting the best of them.
His coworkers froze, watching in disbelief through the glass window as Tim, usually stoic and reserved, wrapped his arms around you and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.
“Oh, my God,” Lucy muttered under her breath, eyes wide. “Is that...?”
“I think that’s Y/N,” Nolan said, his voice trailing off as he tried to make sense of the situation.
“Bradford,” Lucy called out from far, unable to keep her curiosity in check. Storming into his office with the others close behind.
“Since when do you get all... affectionate?”
Tim glanced at them, his usual tough exterior slipping for a brief moment. He didn’t say anything at first, just held you there, savoring the moment.
You, however, were more than willing to answer their questions.
“You all have a lot of questions, don’t you?” you asked with a playful smile, glancing at Tim before meeting the others’ eyes.
Angela raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. “We’ve never seen you like this, Tim. And you’ve been so secretive about everything. Who’s this?”
You looked up at Tim, the quiet understanding between you two enough to convey everything they needed to know.
“She’s my girlfriend, so I can do whatever I want.” Tim finally said, his voice firm, as if to silence any further questioning.
He didn’t give them much to go on but the simple truth.
The room went silent.
“Your girlfriend?” Jackson asked, his voice filled with disbelief. “Since when?”
Tim shrugged. “Not too long ago." Tim didn't want them to directly know that the two of you had just gotten back together.
“Not too long ago?” Lucy said, her jaw dropping. “And none of us knew? How... how is that even possible?”
Tim simply glanced at you with a soft smile, giving you the space to add something if you wanted.
You cleared your throat, still not entirely used to the attention.
“We’re private,” you said, your voice gentle but steady. “I’m not here for attention. Just... helping out with the case.”
Angela, ever the inquisitive one, tilted her head. “But you’re an FBI agent, right? What’s the deal with you two?”
You shared a glance with Tim before speaking, your tone calm and honest.
“We’ve known each other for a while. Tim and I have a history... and we’ve kept things private for a reason.”
Tim stepped in then, his expression soft but serious. “This is a personal matter. We’re not ready to share all the details. But Y/N means a lot to me, and that’s all that matters.”
The others nodded, though they still seemed a little stunned by the revelation.
After a brief pause, Jackson chuckled. “I guess that explains the... intimate moment earlier.”
Tim shot him a look, and you laughed, nudging Tim’s side playfully.
“Don’t worry,” you said, “We’ll make sure to keep it professional here. But the personal stuff? That’s ours.”
The others shared a mix of understanding and disbelief, their questions lingering in the air.
But before anyone could press further, you gave Tim a final, sweet smile.
“I should get going,” you said, your hand resting lightly on his chest. “I have work to do. But we’ll talk more later.”
As you turned to leave, Lucy caught your arm, her tone softer now, almost teasing.
“Hey, you’re always welcome to come by. It’s nice seeing Tim... happy. Maybe next time we’ll get to know you better, huh?”
You grinned, nodding. “Next time.”
With that, you left the station, feeling the eyes of Tim’s coworkers on you, but not in a bad way, just a little curious.
Back at your car, you smiled to yourself, the warmth from Tim’s touch still lingering on your skin.
You couldn’t deny it, everything was changing. But you knew you had Tim by your side, and that made it all feel right.
That evening, Tim greeted you at the door with a soft smile and a tight embrace.
You both had a quiet dinner together, sitting at the small kitchen table as you talked about your day.
“Thanks for letting me steal you away today,” Tim said, his fingers brushing yours as he handed you a glass of wine.
“Anytime,” you replied, your voice soft. “I love being around you, Tim. It feels like... everything falls into place when I’m with you. Just like old times.”
Tim leaned in, brushing his lips against your forehead. “Me too, Y/N. I couldn’t imagine my life without you now.”
The conversation flowed easily, and the quiet moments between you both were more than enough to make everything feel complete.
As you both relaxed into the evening, you knew this was just the beginning of something bigger, something that felt right.
And in the silence of your shared space, surrounded by love and the soft rhythm of each other’s breathing, you knew you’d navigate whatever came next together.
The end

WE CAN DO IT!! 😤✨ also i'm pretty sure i'm missing some warnings/tags but i'm too sleepy to remember them so...
jiwon doesn’t know why she agreed to chaperone her grown brother to his stupid bachelor party. as far as she knew, it was a boy thing. according to her brother, however, she was an exception and so, jiwon finds herself seated at the farthest corner of the bar in what might be the most expensive nightclub she has ever set foot in. she hasn’t even downed her first drink yet—she merely made a tiny tornado with the small umbrella while keeping an eye on her little brother and his ridiculous group of friends.
some of them were familiar to her, some weren’t. and some have repeatedly asked for her number in the past two and a half hours they’ve been in the place. it was after the eleventh time it happened that jiwon decided to go on her lonesome and sat on that one corner of the bar, silently waiting for the little party to end so she could get her nice, long and certainly well-deserved, sleep. jiwon really wished that she came up with some boring excuse to avoid this event. unfortunately, she couldn’t say no to her brother who was so kind to include her!
perhaps he knew that jiwon needed to look at something that wasn’t the view from the big windows of that fancy condominium where she lives. on top of all that, jiwon has been working harder than usual. but that’s only because she quite literally has nothing else to do in her life. all of her friends were busy, she was busy, and it’s not like she can just hit up her coworkers for a quick drink after work when she barely knew them. in hindsight, jiwon sort of needed this!
jiwon raises her glass to her lips, but stops midway when something curious catches her attention. a girl, a bit younger than jiwon herself, confidently marches up towards her brother and does a very familiar handshake with him before hugging him tightly. jiwon watches as the girl and her brother chat a bit. they exchanged a few jokes here and there, the girl hands him a small bag (a gift to his soon-to-be wife, possibly), then her brother whispers in the girl’s ear as he exchanges glances with jiwon, and suddenly both of them were looking at her from across the nightclub.
jiwon nearly drops her glass when she sees the girl’s face clearly. it was you—(y/n) (l/n), her brother’s former roommate and best friend all throughout college! jiwon has met you before! back when her life was a goddamn mess and her entire family thought that you were her brother’s girlfriend. but then it turns out you were more like… his sister from a different family and so that was when you and jiwon started getting to know each other.
perhaps you got to know each other a bit too well… because jiwon remembers all those times when the two of you would hang out in her room for hours and f—
“jiwon-unnie!”
the blonde haired girl springs up from her seat and waved as you squeezed through multiple crowds of people until you got to her. wow, you were beautiful. taller, older, and obviously so much prettier than the last time jiwon saw you.
which was in between her le—
“i missed you so much!” you engulfed jiwon in a crushing bear-hug which she awkwardly returned. “oh wow, unnie, you’re gorgeous! blonde fits you so well.” you were saying as you pulled away, taking in all of jiwon’s features and even threading her soft hair from behind. jiwon got goosebumps under your touch—how the fuck was she supposed to act normal in this situation?
“i am so glad you’re here because as much as i love him, i’m not as much of a boys girl anymore.” you pulled jiwon back to her seat, taking the empty one right beside hers and immediately telling the bartender about your favorite drink. jiwon finds herself completely speechless. literally. you were vibrant, you were chatty, you were so charming—everything jiwon remembers that you were all those years ago.
“mmm. never gets old.” you said after taking the first sip of your drink. you then turned to jiwon who flinched upon making eye contact with you. “what have you been doing these days, unnie? i know you’re like, some kind of big deal at this rich-people company you work for but you know… what else?” you eyed jiwon up and down before smiling at her. not even the darkness and the nearly seizure-inducing lights of the nightclub could hide that familiar glint in your eyes, but jiwon chose to ignore them.
she couldn’t help but glance at how your skirt is hiked up after you’ve put one leg over the other though.
“um, i haven’t been doing much, really. just… work and making sure he doesn’t do anything stupid.” jiwon said, nodding her head to her brother who was pretty buzzed at this time.
you laughed, “you guys never really changed, huh? glad to see it.” you took another sip of your drink.
“only this time i’m helping him with his road to being a husband instead of a project due in thirty minutes.” jiwon shakes her head at the memory, and she likes the way it makes you smile brightly.
“right… and are you still with wonyoung-ssi?” you asked with caution. yet you stared at jiwon as you did so, making sure she sees your ulterior motive through your eyes. jiwon feels herself crumbling under the weight of your stare, as much as she tries to put up a fight of her own.
“no… no, that’s been over for a while now.” it was a good breakup. one that ended with laughter rather than tears and anger. jiwon still talks with wonyoung to this day. why, only a week ago, wonyoung had called jiwon about her brother’s wedding! she expressed her regret about not being able to attend it due to scheduling conflicts—the life of an acclaimed supermodel was busy after all!
you looked significantly happier with the news, now gulping down your drink with a smile on your face. “h-how about you? he never told me what you did after you guys graduated…” jiwon attempts to have some control of the situation—sitting up straight, staring back at you with the same intensity, and all. was she successful? no. jiwon’s blushes as you held your stare with hers, an amused smirk now on your lips before you flipped your hair over your shoulder.
shiiit, jiwon remembers how perfect your neck looks while covered with marks left by her… oh gods, what is wrong with her?!
“well, after college, i did try getting my career started… but that didn’t work out. i ended up going back to my hometown to get back in touch with my heart and all that sentimental bullshit, and it actually worked,” you giggled, your hand brushing across your hair. “i know what i want to do in my life, but for now, i’m just…” you trailed off, raising your drink as well as quirking your eyebrow. “having fun before i can’t.” now your glass is finally empty.
“that’s good. and i’m glad the two of you are still friends. i was worried you’d grow apart.” it always made jiwon smile when she came home after a rough day at her old job and seeing you and her brother in the house, chatting and fooling around as if you weren’t burdened by all your commitments and responsibilities. it had always been refreshing seeing you, and it still is.
you propped your elbow on the table and put your chin on your palm, flashing jiwon a teasing smile, “did you miss me, unnie?”
and just like that, every ounce of confidence jiwon built up evaporates into nothing. she laughs awkwardly, hiding behind her drink, “o-of course! it was weird not seeing you guys together all the time, you know!” another awkward laugh. jiwon felt ridiculous and childish.
“no, unnie,” you moved closer, putting your hand on jiwon’s arm. she turned her head to look at you again and there you were, staring at her with clouded eyes. you then leaned closer and put your other arm behind her, your lips ghosting above her ear. shitshitshit, that’s too close. “did you miss me?”
what happened moments later isn’t exactly what jiwon would say was… a mistake. hell, it was far from it.
being trapped between the door of your hotel room and yourself while getting her neck marked up and her clothes slowly stripped down is the most eventful jiwon’s night has been.
jiwon could feel her brother’s worry all the way from here… well, it’s mainly because she knew that all the buzzing that her phone was doing in her pocket was because of him mass texting her about her whereabouts. she couldn’t be bothered to text him back right now though, not when you were already trailing your hand up her thigh and sliding it underneath her skirt. this felt familiar, and it felt good. feeling you gently rub her wet cunt through her panties felt good, feeling you softly biting on her collarbone felt good, seeing those cute eyes of yours asking for permission while you tugged on her panties felt good.
how long has it been since jiwon felt this kind of rush in her life? too long, she’d say. so why not make the most out of it?
jiwon cups your cheeks and crashes her lips into yours for the first time that night. your lips tasted like blueberries (from whatever you were drinking earlier), and jiwon loved the way you kissed her rather clumsily as if you didn’t expect her to do it first. jiwon couldn’t get enough. she pushes you further inside the room, discarding you of your jacket while doing so. she sits you down on the edge of the bed before separating from your lips and suddenly walking off, leaving you confused and slightly light-headed.
turns out, jiwon only went away to turn the lampshade on, illuminating the room with a warm orange glow before going back to you. she stared you down with hooded eyes, lust replacing the kind look in her irises that you knew and loved, and then she gently grabs your jaw, tilting your head up. you squeezed your thighs together, trying to soothe that ache in your core. god, you missed her.
“make this worth it, (y/n).” jiwon says coldly. even jiwon herself was surprised at her tone, but something in her brain liked how you crumbled under her stare. compared to the timid, nervous jiwon from earlier, bossy and demanding and… kind of harsh jiwon just did something right to you.
“you’ve always been worth it.” you pulled jiwon towards you by her hips, making her sit down on your lap. you feel her brushing your hair with her fingers, allowing you to release the tension on your shoulders and just melt into her. you’ve missed her warmth, and she’s missed yours. jiwon didn’t understand why you left when you did… but that was a question you were going to answer for her later.
much, much later.
jiwon moans softly as you start kissing her neck. your hands get busy with the remaining buttons on her shirt, revealing more of her skin for you to mark up throughout the night. you’ve already left some earlier, and they were starting to show across her chest but that wasn’t enough. you slowly pull off her shirt and let it drop to the ground, then your hands travel lower on jiwon’s body, stopping at the waistband of her skirt.
you were eager to touch her—unzipping her skirt and whining to get her to stand up and let it fall at her feet before you pulled her back into you. jiwon couldn’t help but laugh while you kissed her hungrily, and then she giggled even more when you rolled around and made her lay on her back on the bed.
you pouted cutely as you observed her and her baby pink lingerie, “hmm… were you expecting to sleep with someone in that club, unnie? you looked prepared.”
jiwon thought it was the perfect time to tease such a normally confident girl like you. so she nodded with a shit-eating grin, “the lady bartender was cute actually.” she laughs when you suddenly hop off of her abdomen, choosing to sit on the side of the bed instead. you were taking off your shoes, setting them aside before starting to discard yourself of your jewelry and putting them on the bedside table. jiwon watches you intently, her desire for you only growing by the second.
“come on, get in here already.” jiwon tugged on your sleeve, more than ready to feel your lips on her skin once again. she decided to sit up and help you with your dress though, reaching for the zipper and slowly pulling it down. she didn’t waste the opportunity to leave kisses on the back of your neck, all the way down to the middle of your back, making sure that her lipstick sticks on your skin and smiling satisfied once she sees that it did.
finally, jiwon could see all of you after all these years, and you were just as beautiful as the last time she saw you. jiwon couldn’t resist immediately grabbing your face and kissing you as you climbed into the bed—she longed to feel your skin against hers again and now that you were here, she doesn’t think she ever wants to let you go like she did back then. so, jiwon holds onto you tightly, letting you settle yourself on top of her once again while your hands impatiently explore her perfect body. your hands reach behind jiwon, unclasping her bra and throwing it aside, your hands quickly finding themselves busy fondling her soft breasts.
it was cute to see that you still adored her tits as much as you did back then. you did that thing you always did when you were intimate with jiwon, kissing all over her chest, making sure to cover every inch of skin while still massaging her tits. jiwon caresses your hair as you did your job, laughing softly in an adoring way, her smile only widening when you look up at her with your own grin.
“you’re so pretty, jiwon-unnie.” you gave the older girl one last quick kiss on the lips before leaning down and taking her nipple in your mouth. jiwon gasps at the feeling of your warm tongue slowly swirling around her nipple. it was familiar, like all of the other things you’ve done to her so far, but it also felt new at the same time. because this time, the two of you were much older, and you were doing this purely out of your true feelings for each other rather than a decision made on a whim. jiwon moans loudly when you softly and carefully bite on the hard bud, but she was quick to regain composure when she notices something quite… well, interesting.
jiwon sees how you humped the mattress slightly, trying your best to soothe that buzzing in your core on your own. jiwon decides to swiftly slide her thigh in between your legs and press it against your wet cunt, feeling all satisfied when you whine and start slowly grinding on her thigh for further stimulation. your hand that was pinching her other nipple was now gripping the sheets as you started riding jiwon’s thigh faster, whining even more as you feverishly sucked and nipped on her tit. jiwon grins, loving how she hasn’t lost her special little talent of reducing you to her obedient pet. she starts meeting your little thrusts by raising her thigh—somehow, the sight of you like this had her soaked, but you haven’t noticed at all. you were too busy trying to get yourself off!
you had to let go of jiwon’s nipple eventually, now hugging her close and whining at her chest because you were feeling so good. you’ve started shaking and your moans were shorter and higher—it only meant one thing! jiwon takes a fistful of your hair and pulls your face up to make you look at her, ignoring how you winced at the pain.
“don’t cum.” she says strictly, her grip on your hair tightening by the second the more you thrust into her thigh.
“b-but..! hnng.. i’m s-so close…! so close…” the pout, the tears, that desperate tone in your voice… jiwon almost wanted to fold, but she wasn’t in the mood for that.
“you don’t get to cum before me ever, remember? be good.”
as much as it upset you, you slowly decreased your pace until you were merely sitting on her thigh. jiwon smiles—she was happy to know that she still had some sort of hold over you. she knew she always did! why, you were always clingy towards jiwon whenever her brother invited you over, and that was even before the two of you started sleeping with each other. she always used it to her advantage, mostly in bed, of course. something else jiwon always liked: that pitiful look on your cute face when she denies you of your release. you’d always look so timid after, afraid that if you spoke incorrectly, jiwon might stop the whole thing entirely.
but jiwon was never that cruel. she’d tease you, sure, but she would always make sure to give you what you want. just as long as she gets hers first.
“look,” you watched as jiwon’s hand traveled down from her stomach to her panties. she was drenched; your fault. “do something.” she demands. shit. the dark tone in her voice and the stern look on her face was enough to get you to move lower. you pulled off jiwon’s panties, your heart beating so fast for no goddamn reason. it has been a very long time since you have seen jiwon, let alone like this. acting like this, looking at you like this. it’s got you weak.
you stared at jiwon’s pussy. soaked, tight, perfect, and most importantly, all for you.
“how cute. you’re practically drooling.” jiwon impatiently puts her hand atop your head and brings your face closer to her needy cunt. you hoisted her legs over your shoulder, then you started leaving kisses along her inner thighs—deep and sensual kisses, slow and careful right up until your lips barely ghosted above her pussy. jiwon stares at you with anticipation, you stare back at her; your eyes now dark and hungry. you keep eye contact as you licked up her cunt once, smirking while you felt jiwon’s entire body shiver at the feeling. she pushes your head a little closer, so fucking desperate that you almost wanted to be petty and tease her, but she would probably hit you for that.
and so, you give her what she wants. within seconds of your lips touching her cunt once more, you were practically making out with it. goosebumps appeared along your skin as your tongue slowly got familiar with jiwon’s taste again. it felt right, like the stars have finally realigned themselves after years of floating about the expansive universe, lost. you put your hands to use, spreading her lips apart and pleasuring her clit.
“g-good…! there… mmhn.. (y/n)-ah…!” jiwon grabs a fistful of your hair again, pushing you impossibly closer to her cunt, practically grinding it against your face. you wrap your lips around the sensitive bud, sucking softly and moaning at jiwon’s sheer taste. fuck, it was all too good. you use one hand to grip one of her thighs, sinking your nails down to her skin, and spreading it further so you could have room.
“fuck..! i want to cum, (y/n)… m-more, more..! please…” jiwon’s back arches right as you flick the sensitive bud. you slipped your tongue inside her cunt, making jiwon moan just a tad bit louder than the hotel room walls would recommend her to. the next rooms most likely heard that—good. everyone needs to know how amazing you make her feel. how you’re the only one who can make her feel this way. and everyone’s going to know it again; you used your free hand to rub jiwon’s clit since your tongue was too busy inside her.
normally, this would’ve made jiwon cum. but she was strong this time around. “fucking—god, (y/n)…! more.. more…” jiwon pleads while on the verge of tears. you free her thigh of your grip and hold her hand instead, at least it helped her ground herself at least. the more you used your tongue inside her, the more you felt her clench. her grip gets tighter, both on your hand and on your hair. you briefly glanced upwards and saw her closing her eyes shut—she was close. but you found yourself being torn between letting her reach her climax now, stall a bit longer, or… make her orgasm just a lot stronger.
you pulled out your tongue from her cunt. jiwon hisses and nearly hits you on the head for slowing down and going back to sucking on her clit as you previously did. she glared at you, but was immediately back to being at your mercy when you unexpectedly inserted two of your fingers inside her. god, she was still tight. you stared in awe as you fucked jiwon in an excrutiatingly slow pace, merely watching as her pussy clenches around your digits. you pushed further, now knuckle-deep inside jiwon. you could cum from the sensation of her spongy walls brushing against your fingertips alone but you had to keep her rule in mind.
“m-mouth… use your mouth, (y/n).. ah!” and happily you did! your mouth and fingers worked in unison on jiwon’s pussy—every time you pulled out, you’d suck and lick her clit, the routine now going back to you. you’re remembering all the things she liked done to her, even down to the tiniest details. like eye contact. your eyes fluttered open, peering at jiwon through your fringe. she was already staring at you, her face contorted to show much pleasure you were bringing to her. jiwon has never once tried to conceal her noises and she wasn’t going to ask you to slow down or anything either. you both needed this, and unfortunately for this entire damn hotel, they were going to know just how much.
jiwon loosens her grip on your head once she realizes just how tight she was holding it, now threading your hair and only gently nudging you closer whenever she thinks your mouth isn’t doing enough. you curled your fingers inside her, making her tense up once more and bring her to that familiar edge. “please, please, please…!” jiwon whispers desperately like a prayer with a single tear running down her cheek. you increased your pace and buried your face in her cunt, not caring about making a mess of your face. all you cared about was satisfying your jiwon-unnie, and that you were successful when you brought her to a mind-blanking orgasm with a single flick of your tongue.
a long moan escapes jiwon’s lips as you continue to eat her out through her climax. god, she was delectable. you were determined to not waste a single drop of her cum, lapping her up like a dog and once more relishing at the taste of her juices on your tongue. you pull out your fingers as well, making sure jiwon sees you sucking on it to show her just how much you enjoy how she tastes. jiwon was beyond flustered and she was feeling all sorts of things—overwhelmed, weak, and perhaps most importantly of all, so fucking desperate to make you feel just as good.
you don’t hear her at first. jiwon was speaking in a small voice since she was still weak from everything you did, but you do hear her later on. “come here, baby,” the nickname practically sends you scurrying over on top of her again. jiwon wipes your chin clean with her hand, smiling brightly at you as she pulls you in for a sweet kiss. she can taste herself on your lips and your tongue, and a part of her understands why you’re so addicted. “unnie’s turn, hm?” she whispers against your lips… but her kisses have sent your brain elsewhere, hence your surprised gasp when you felt her gently rub your clit through your panties.
“hah… you’re still super sensitive here?” jiwon asked.
“t-that’s my clit, unnie.. of course, i’m—ahh—sensitive there…” cheeky. even when you’re the one at her mercy now. you pulled your panties off, throwing over to the pile of clothes on the carpeted floor. jiwon was teasing you: tracing your lips with her fingers, barely letting her fingertips touch your entrance, and not even giving your clit the attention it needs now. you whine as you grind down on jiwon’s hand, desperate for more contact but she refuses to touch you.
“aww, what’s with that face?” jiwon coos, laughing slightly. you had a mix of desperation and irritation on your face. it was annoying how she was being annoying, especially at such a crucial time but you knew the exact thing you had to do to get her going.
“unnie. please. i need you…” you pleaded. jiwon leans back on the pillow behind her, finding it so amusing to watch you slowly lose every ounce of self-respect just so you can cum. fuck, if jiwon wanted to be cruel, she could! she could make you beg all night, see those pretty eyes of yours shine with tears as you cry… the sick part of jiwon really wanted it all to come true, but she’s missed you too much to prolong this any further. and so, she pushes your face closer to her by the back of your neck, kissing you passionately just to get you to calm down.
one word jiwon would use to describe how she felt for the events that followed? relieving.
it was relieving to feel your warmth around the three fingers she inserted in your pussy at once, to feel your tongue inside her mouth, to bleed slightly from the way you held onto her arms so tightly, and it was most relieving to hear you say her name so sweetly. you can have such a dirty mouth with so many vulgar words to say, especially from years before when you were younger, but whenever you were with jiwon, you were a different person. jiwon was one of the only people who you allowed to see you like this: soft, weak, and so endearing. it seems like you haven’t changed that aspect about you, and that fact within itself was relieving to jiwon.
“unnie…!” you buried your head on the crook of jiwon’s neck as you felt every inch of her fingers brush against all of your sweet spots. as expected, things were always different when it came to jiwon. being so vulnerable to other people terrified you to the point where it was almost impossible to let your heart open to them, but jiwon made it so simple. but now that you were right here, looking at jiwon and feeling her everywhere, maybe it wasn’t just simply her that made it possible for you to let yourself fall.
wait… fall?
yes. fall. all this time—you’ve fallen for jiwon but too many things made it complicated for you to fully embrace it. but now you are ready.
“i’m so happy, (y/n),” jiwon’s voice felt like a dream. you almost couldn’t hear her properly due to how much her fingers overwhelmed you. the older girl used her free hand to lift your chin, making you look at her, before kissing your lips—it has always been her favorite thing to do. “i’m so happy you came back to me. i don’t know how to express how much i missed you… surely not with words, not even with this…” jiwon plunges her fingers deep, shushing you while you moan loudly. god, she knew you too well. knew which spot to hit to get you to lose your mind, knew the exact words to whisper in your ear when she notices you were slipping away from reality, and knew exactly how to make your heart beat like it never has before.
jiwon pulls her index finger out, now fucking you faster than she ever has with the only fingers she has inside you. “good girl. god, baby… you’re getting me wet again.” jiwon locks one of her legs around yours, keeping you in place. her palm slams against your sensitive clit, bringing tears to your eyes even though you grinded on her hand desperately to feel it over and over again. part of the reason why jiwon always needed to be the one to be fucked first is because you get so tired after your turn that you just pass out, and you never got out of that habit it seems. jiwon sees how the light was escaping your eyes, it was only a matter of time before you were too exhausted to keep yourself awake.
“hm, we have to be careful, huh? can you handle it, love?”
you nodded frantically, afraid that she’d slow down had you answered otherwise, “y-yes..! ahh, yes, i can. i can, unnie.. i can—mmhn..! i can take it…” you started moving your hips, riding jiwon’s fingers just to get closer and closer for that climax you’ve been chasing after the entire night. jiwon was thoroughly amused at how determined you were. normally, you’d give up or tap out if you found it all too much, but jiwon knows you want to be good for her. especially after all this time.
“you’re so cute… but don’t worry, baby,” jiwon places a sweet, deep kiss on your damp forehead. “we have all the time in the world now.”
a curl of her fingers later and you were cumming on jiwon’s hand. the older girl stopped her movements, afraid of overstimulating you. she whispers sweet words into your ears as you let yourself go, at least that's what you think she’s doing. you could barely keep your eyes open, let alone hear. but despite your consciousness slowly slipping away from you, you still felt jiwon gently lay you down on the spot next to her. she holds you close enough that she is within kissing distance.
she was so perfect—how could you have left her?
“unnie…” you tucked a piece of her behind her ear. her laugh makes your ears tingle. you faintly hear her ask if you’re feeling okay, to which you nodded weakly at. you can see her lips move, she was saying a few things, but you can’t hear her over the sound of your heartbeat. you cup her cheek, lean close, and kiss her. maybe it was your favorite thing to do, just like her. and then, words that have always been expected to be unsaid leave your lips. some feelings that have been kept hidden, secrets that you were afraid of letting slip.
“i love you, jiwon-unnie.”
long overdue, sure. even jiwon felt it before you ever said it to her. but she thinks that your bashful smile, the way you shyly looked away from her, and your precious reaction to her saying it back made it all worth the wait.

Now and Then
✎ Bang Chan x (afab) Reader
✎ 9k
✎ Second-Chance AU: Emotional, Friends to Strangers to Lovers
Synopsis: When Bang Chan reunites with Y/N—a former tutor turned idol—on Knowing Brothers, he’s flooded with memories of their bond and the mysterious way she disappeared. As they reconnect, unresolved feelings and buried truths resurface. Can they turn their bittersweet past into a hopeful future?
This is my first time writing fanfic ever, so please bear with me if there's a gramatical error or wrong spellings, english is not my first language, enjoyy staysss!! This is for entertainer purpose only! — Bae
The classroom-like set of Knowing Brothers buzzed with excitement as Stray Kids walked in. They were met with cheers and playful teasing from the regular cast. Joining them on the show was Aether, the rookie girl group taking the industry by storm.
Among the members, Y/N stood out—not just for her beauty but for the effortless charisma she carried. The slim fit body, half-Italian, with striking features and subtle tattoos peeking from her sleeves. She exuded confidence, her bright smile captivating the room.
Bang Chan, seated among his members, barely glanced at her. His focus was on keeping his group's energy high for the show.
The Profile Reading
When it was Y/N’s turn to share her profile, the room grew quieter. She walked up to the front, glancing briefly at Chan, who was oblivious.
"I'm Y/N from Aether," she began, her voice steady. "I was born in Italy but moved to Australia when I was young. Oh, and fun fact—I actually went to the same junior high school as Bang Chan." The revelation sparked gasps, laughter, and curious glances. Bang Chan's head snapped up, his brows furrowing.
"No way," he muttered, leaning forward in disbelief.
"Yeah, we were classmates. In fact…" Y/N's smile softened, her gaze meeting his, "I used to tutor him."
The room erupted in surprised exclamations. Chan's confusion deepened, his eyes scanning her face. Chan’s mind raced as Y/N stood before him, her confident presence clashing with the sweet, nerdy girl he vaguely remembered. It couldn’t be her… could it? Then, like a dam breaking, memories came flooding back.
The sound of a loud slap on the table brought Chan out of his trance. The cast of Knowing Brothers was still laughing and teasing him about not recognizing Y/N.
“Are you okay?” Lee Soo Geun asked, smirking. “You’ve gone all quiet.”
“I—uh—yeah,” Chan stammered, his ears burning. He glanced at Y/N, who watched him with a knowing smile, the rest of the cast teased Chan mercilessly, some calling him out for not recognizing her while others joked about how he must’ve been too focused on her lessons to notice anything else.
As the shoot wrapped up, Chan couldn’t hold back anymore. He found Y/N alone in the dressing room, the memories from their past swirling in his mind.
He found her alone in the dressing room, taking off her earing. She looked up as he entered, her expression softening.
“Hey,” she said casually.
Chan stepped inside, his eyes scanning her face again. “I still can’t believe it,” he admitted with his light chuckle. “You’re that Y/N. The girl who used to tutor me… I mean, you’re so different now.”
She laughed lightly. “People change, Chan.”
He hesitated, then sat down across from her. “Why didn’t you tell me? Back then, I mean. After the exams, you just disappeared. I… I wanted to thank you.”
Her smile faltered. “I didn’t mean to leave like that. A lot happened.”
“Like what?”
She sighed, the folded memories start to swirl around her head.
Flashback
The scent of freshly sharpened pencils mixed with the faint chlorine on Chan’s skin as he collapsed into the chair opposite Y/N. His hair was damp from swim practice, sticking messily to his forehead.
“You look exhausted,” Y/N said softly, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose. She adjusted her notebook and spread out the physics worksheets between them.
“I’m fine,” he replied, though his eyelids betrayed him by drooping. “Let’s just get started.”
Y/N frowned, her delicate features creasing with concern. “Chan, you just came from practice. Why don’t you rest for a little while? You can’t focus like this.”
Chan shook his head stubbornly. “No, it’s fine. I need to pass this exam, Y/N.”
She sighed but didn’t argue further. Instead, she gently pulled his notebook from his hands and closed it. “Okay, how about this? Rest for twenty minutes, and I’ll wake you up. You can’t study properly if your brain’s running on fumes.” Chan blinked, startled by her tone. It wasn’t demanding, but it carried a kind of care that made him pause.
“I mean it,” she added, her lips curving into a small smile. “Close your eyes, and I’ll be right here when you wake up.” Something about her smile—so sweet and genuine—made him comply without argument. He slumped forward, resting his head on his crossed arms. His heart was oddly calm, the stress of school and sports momentarily melting away as Y/N’s presence anchored him.
When he woke up, it was to the sound of a pencil scratching on paper. Y/N was working on the worksheet he had abandoned, her head slightly tilted as she muttered formulas under her breath.
“Hey,” he murmured, his voice groggy.
She looked up, startled, and then smiled. “Feeling better?”
“Yeah… thanks,” he said, sitting up straighter. “You didn’t have to do all that.”
“I didn’t mind,” she replied, handing him the worksheet. “Now, let’s go over this together.”
He stared at her for a moment, feeling something unfamiliar stir in his chest. She wasn’t just smart—she was kind, patient, and always seemed to know exactly what he needed. He didn’t realize it then, but it was in that moment that she began to mean more to him than just a tutor.
The next day
The hallways were quiet as Y/N grabbed her books from her locker after school. Most students had already left for the day, but she had stayed behind to finish some last-minute tutoring preparations.
She was startled when three girls appeared, their presence suffocating as they leaned against the lockers.
“You’re Y/N, right?” one of them sneered, her arms crossed. “The nerd who tutors Bang Chan?”
Y/N swallowed, gripping her books tighter. “Uh, yeah. Why?”
The leader of the group stepped closer, her eyes narrowing. “Let me make this simple. Stay away from him.”
Y/N blinked, confused. “What are you talking about? I’m just helping him with school—”
“Do you think we’re stupid?” the girl snapped, cutting her off. “Everyone’s noticed how close you two are. But here’s the thing—Chan doesn’t belong to you. He’s way out of your league, so stop pretending like you matter to him.”
The words stung more than Y/N wanted to admit. She tried to protest, but the girls didn’t give her a chance.
“If we catch you hanging around him again, we’ll make sure you regret it.”
Y/N stood frozen as the girls walked away, their laughter echoing in the empty hallway. Her hands trembled, and for the first time, she felt the weight of being too close to Bang Chan.
That evening, as she sat across from him during their tutoring session, she couldn’t meet his eyes.
“Y/N? You okay?” he asked, noticing her uncharacteristic quietness.
“I’m fine,” she lied, forcing a smile. “Let’s just focus on your notes.”
From then on, she began pulling away—shortening their sessions, avoiding him in the hallways, and making excuses when he tried to talk to her outside of tutoring. It create a visible distant between the two of them.
Present Day
Chan leaned forward, his voice softer. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t want to burden you. You were already dealing with so much—swimming tournaments, school, being the most popular guy around.” She smiled faintly. “I didn’t think you’d even notice I was gone.”
“I did,” he said, his voice firm. “I did notice. I even went to your house. Your neighbor told me you’d moved. I…” He hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. “I had a gift for you, you know. To thank you for helping me pass those subjects.”
Her eyes widened. “You did?”
“Yeah. It’s still in my room somewhere.” He chuckled softly, then looked at her with a seriousness that caught her off guard. “You have no idea how much you helped me back then. I don’t think I ever told you, but you made me feel… cared for. Like I wasn’t just some guy everyone expected to be perfect all the time.”
Y/N’s throat tightened, emotions threatening to spill over. “I cared about you, Chan. That’s why I tutored you in the first place. You were always so determined, even when you were exhausted from practice. I admired that about you.”
They sat in silence for a moment, the weight of unspoken words settling between them.
“So… how’d you end up here?” Chan asked finally, gesturing to her idol attire.
She smiled. “After my nana passed, I started working to help my mom. I sang on a cruise ship for a while, and that’s where a talent scout found me. One thing led to another, and here I am.”
Chan nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Well, you’ve come a long way, Y/N.”
“So have you,” she replied, her eyes softening.
There was a beat of silence before Chan spoke again, his voice quieter. “I missed you, you know. I didn’t realize it then, but… I really liked you.”
Her breath hitched, her cheeks warming. “I liked you too,” she admitted. “But it felt impossible back then.”
“Is it impossible now?” he asked, his tone hopeful.
Y/N smiled, her gaze meeting his. “I don’t know. But maybe we can find out.”
Chan grinned, his dimples showing. “I’d like that.”
And for the first time in years, they both felt a little less lost.

hi there i hope im not bothering you but i was hoping you could recommend me some good japanese bls? hopefully completed ones? no pressure ofc!
Can I recommend you some good Japanese bls? *laughs maniacally* Oh my anonymous friend, you have come to the right place.
First, go here for a nice little variety pack of some of my all time favorites to get you started. I will add some more gems here in no particular order (all of these are complete and available to stream):
Kieta Hatsukoi (Viki)
You have probably heard of this tumblr fav about a very confused mess of a boy who gets into all kinds of Situations while trying to sort out who he has feelings for and what it even means to like somebody. This one is super sharp, funny, and has an endearing ensemble cast.
Kabe Koji Nekoyashiki kun Desires to be Recognized (Viki)
Two childhood friends--one a doujinshi artist, one a pop idol--reconnect and get the chance to sort out old feelings. This one has great wacky energy while still being quite emotionally deep.
Life: Love on the Line (Viki)
This bl film follows a pair of high school lovers through coming of age and the challenges of adulthood as queer men. It's so lovely.
Seven Days (Youtube)
A short film told in two parts, this is a very simple story about a high school boy who is willing to date anyone who asks for a week, and the classmate who is so curious about this guy's deal that he decides to take a week for himself. I bet you can guess what happens next!
Takara-kun to Amagi-kun (GagaOOLala, Viki)
Two high school boys decide to date each other. That's it, that's the show, and despite that incredibly simple premise there's a lot here.
If It's With You (GagaOOLala)
A jaded before his time kid who doesn't believe in love meets a nice boy and reconsiders. Another very simple one, but so well executed.
My Personal Weatherman (GagaOOLala)
And on the not so simple end of the spectrum, this is a story about two men whose communication problems run so deep that they've managed to enter into a relationship with wildly different ideas of what exactly they are to each other. Equal parts kink and confusion.
Perfect Propose (GagaOOLala)
The story of an overworked salaryman who reunites with his old high school friend and moves him in as a de facto caretaker. This one is very cathartic for anyone who's ever had a soul destroying job.

book lovers II Emily Fox x Reader
masterlist I word count: 1360
a/n: hi, this oneshot won the poll by far, enjoy. Plays in the same universe as Arsenal Book Club.
pairings: Arsenal Wfc x Reader (platonic), Emily Fox x Reader (romantic)
For the new season, Arsenal’s book club met again. Emily was excited, this time she would be the host.
She had prepared everything. From turning her living room into a cozy reading spot to organizing snacks and wine.
There was just one more thing to do. And for that she needed to ask her teammates.
“No, she can’t be part of the Arsenal book club, Emily!“, Leah cut her off because she could fully phrase her question.
Emily frowned at her teammate. She couldn’t understand why they didn’t want you around, only because you played for Chelsea.
“But I already invited her.“
Leah almost choked on her wine. The room went quiet immediately.
The blonde defender turned to the others: “Girls, you agree with me, right?“
No one dared to answer.
Kim finally looked up from where was busy setting up a laptop so Jen could join in from the US. She sighed: “It’s just a book club, Leah.“
“With Arsenal players!“, she replied, rolling her eyes.
“Viv and Jen are still part of it and they don’t play for us anymore.“, Beth countered with a casual shoulder shrug.
“But they’re former Arsenal players. They still belong to the family.“
The discussion was interrupted by Jens voice: “Cheers, mates.“ Her smiling face appeared on the laptop screen. She looked tired, her hair was tied up into a messy bun and she clearly sat in her kitchen with a mug in front of her.
“Hi, Jen. What time is it in Cali? Did you get up for this?“, Kim greeted the other scot.
Jen nodded proudly: “It’s eight in the morning but I’m ready. I got our book, a cup of coffee and I’m only slightly jealous of your wine.“
“And I’m jealous of your coffee so I think that’s fair.“, Kim smiled.
Beth appeared on her side and pressed her face closer to the screen: “Is that Deyna in the background?“
“Yes, she slept here. Why?“, Jen replied nonchalantly.
Beth played innocent: “Just asking.“
Deyna waved into the camera: “I loved the book. Jen and I read it out loud to each other in the evening. Would recommend doing that with your p-… friends.“
The Venezuelan football player blushed slightly.
Leah rolled her eyes once again, this time with a smile: “Sounds totally like something friends would do.“
“Shut it, Lee.“, Jen laughed.
While the other Arsenal players were busy discussing their former teammates’ love life, Emily sneaked out to let you in.
In the hallway, she greeted you with a long kiss.
“You’re here.“
“Of course. Sorry for being late, got some snacks.“, you smiled and apologetically held up a huge bag.
“You didn’t have to. We have more than enough.“
“I thought food might be the way to their hearts.”, you explained sounding hopeful. Noticing the two familiar faces who appeared behind your girlfriend made your grin grew deeper.
“Hi Lotte and Lessi!”
“Hey y/n.”, Lotte responded with a warm smile on her lips.
“Great to see you.”, Alessia chirmed pulling you into one of her famous bear hugs.
“It’s been forever.”, you nodded.
“Sadly, you’re not in our team anymore.”, the English defender sighed.
“What do you mean?”, Leah intervened curiously.
“We all played together for the North Carolina Tar Heels.”, the Blonde forward stated.
“You did?”, Vivianne threw in surprised.
“Yes.”, Emily confirmed.
“What a coincidence.”, the Dutch player remarked.
“It’s.”, your girlfriend agreed.
“And now we’re all reunited far away from North Carolina.”, you observed happily.
“All in London.”, Lotte stated.
“Disgustingly cute.”, Katie commented, wrinkling her nose.
“Can we get to the book now?”, Kim asked with a tortured smile on the face.
“Please.”, you replied.
“Yes, come on. Sit down.”, Emily requested, touching the empty place beside her on the comfy sofa. Gladly you sat down next to your lover.
“Cheers, y/n.”, Katie toasted you grinning.
“I almost thought you’d knock my head with your glass, McCabe.”, you shook your head laughing.
“You’re lucky I didn’t even though you play for Chelsea.”, the Irish footballer growled.
As an American you didn’t think much about the rivalry between Chelsea and Arsenal until you arrived in England and met people like Katie or Leah who took this very seriously.
“But we’re both Emily’s friends.”, you reminded her softly.
“You don’t have friends on the Chelsea team, huh.”, the Ireland captain joked teasingly.
“Not true. They just don’t like to read.”, you protested.
“Oh, these girls here don’t read either except for fellow bookworm Emily.”, Kim told you.
“What?”, Emily gasped.
“Yes, you’re our book nerd and apparently y/n is at Chelsea.”, Leah smirked amused.
“Sounds like a perfect couple to me.”, Beth chuckled at the blonde defender’s observation.
“Two book lovers. Yes, indeed.”, Jen added.
“Actually.”, Emily begun, her cheeks turning slightly pink as all the eyes of her teammates were on her.
“We’re.”, you continued.
“A couple. Who would have guessed.”, Katie rolled her eyes at the pair of you.
“Is no one surprised?”, your girlfriend wanted to know smiling.
“Do you want us to be?”, Beth returned the question in a sincere voice.
“The derby said everything to be honest.”, the lionesses captain admitted winking.
“The derby?!”, you exclaimed.
“Yeah, you were there?”, Leah questioned unserious clearly, she knew you were a part of that game.
“Yes, I remember it all too well.”, you confessed.
You bit your lip, thinking back to that day and wondered if you were really that obvious a few weeks ago.
Katie smirked at you: “And let’s just say it wasn’t only sportsmanship that we saw afterwards.“
“Trust me, some people would still say it was only true sportsmanship.“, Beth laughed.
Leah wrinkled her nose and teased: “Oh yes, a girl consoling another girl with a kiss, such sportsmanship.“
You felt the blood rush into your cheeks.
Embarrassed, you tried to hide your face in Emilys neck: “Oh god, you guys!“
Emily laughed, patting your back: “They’re always like this.“
“I think I like them… Still annoying though.“, you commented as you looked back up again.
Leah raised one eyebrow: “Says the Chelsea player.“
You looked at your girlfriend for help but she just shrugged: “Sorry, I can’t save you from this lifelong gooner, love, if you keep saying such things.“
“What about the love you until the day I die promise?“, you asked her, playfully pouting.
Beth grimaced in disgust and turned to Arsenals captain who looked like she was suffering: “Kim, I think they read too many romance books.“
Kim sighed in response: “I just want to have one book club where we actually get to read and that doesn’t turn into some kind of dating show.“
The book club ended without much reading so you and Emily read the book over the course of the next few days. Once you finished it, you placed both your copies onto your shared bookshelf. There was a large collection of books already and almost no more space.
As you turned away from the bookshelf, there was a loud crack, then an even louder thud. You let out an involuntary shriek before you took in the books at your feet.
The lowest shelf had collapsed under the weight of all those books.
“Uhm, Em?“, you called for your girlfriend.
“Yes?“, she yelled back from the kitchen.
“I think we need to make another trip to IKEA… or get rid of some books.“, you half joked.
“Why?“ She appeared in your living room and took in the situation. “Oh my god.“
“It broke under the weight.“, you explained.
Your girlfriend smiled fondly but shook her head: “Have you ever heard of an e-reader?“
You glared at her: “That’s nothing compared to ink and paper! Besides, I’m not getting one just because of your deal with kindle.“
“Okay, fine. We’ll go buy you another shelf.“, she laughed, defensively raising her hands.
You smiled: “Thank you. Food will be on me, you can choose whatever you want.“
Emily nodded slowly, already thinking about what to get at the Swedish furniture store: “Okay, we have a deal.“
“Better than your kindle deal.“, you laughed and stepped around the scattered books to kiss her.

Where's My Love
Cersei Lannister x Stark Fem!Reader 🐺
Prompt: I was wondering if you could write a Cersei x Stark!fem!reader where she's Ned's youngest sister and Cersei's ex-secret lover. Reader is a rebel like Arya and never married but she's very protective of her nieces/nephews. She and Cersei had a bad breakup and are finally reuniting during the events of the first GOT episode when the king's court goes to Winterfell. You could write reader backing up Arya again Joffrey and Cersei seething 😂😂😂 you can include g!p and smut if you want.
Wordcount: 5.8k
Pairing: Cersei x Stark Reader
Warnings: g!p reader, smut, power play, depictions of physical abuse, cheating , very toxic , references to alcoholism, breeding kink if you squint, emotional manipulation, did i already say this was toxic ?
Note: thank you so much 🐑 for the prompt! i actually had a lot of fun writing this one. also important to note this is my first time actually publishing something y'all have requested me to write so hopefully i got this right.. i know i tweaked and added a couple things but i hope you don't mind! and if you hate this i'm sorry lmao i tried <33
(smut after asterisks)
Bouts of laughter erupt from your nephews as Bran once again misses his mark, the arrow flies way over the target.
You glare at the older boys, in response Robb places a hand over his mouth, Jon instead chooses to avoid your gaze entirely focusing his stare at the ground beneath.
All dirt and sleet on the base of your boot, the ground squelched with every step you took.
“Try again, Bran. Take a deep breath, aim properly.” You order placing a lingering hand on his shoulder.
The young boy nods obediently as you step back once more, he raises his bow arm.
He aims, soon releasing the string, and once again, he misses. The arrow pierces the edge of a barrel on the far left, leagues away from his actual target.
Once again the boys burst into fits of laughter, this time is it not you who reprimands them.
“And which one of you was a marksman at ten?” You follow the sound of your brother's voice, he is standing on the balcony above, Catelyn by his side.
“Keep trying, Bran.” Jon decides to cease his teasing, he encourages his half-brother.
A sudden gust of wind tickles your face, the cold breeze permeates the air, bleeding through the thin fabric of your doublet. You immediately regret not putting on more layers this morning. You have lost track of the days, but there is no doubt that winter is coming.
“Robb, make certain your brother continues practicing. I am going back inside, but remember– your father is watching.” You warn your eldest nephew, as stern as you can manage.
Shaggy streaks of red hair fall over his eyes as he nods.
You wrap your arms around yourself as you start up the stairs, but your plan to slip back into your chambers unnoticed fails.
“Y/n.” Cat appears next to you.
“Are you alright?” The Lady of Winterfell asks, and you force a sweet smile, one to disarm and hopefully quell her worries.
Catelyn didn't exactly warm to you at first, and neither did you with her, but over time you both grew to truly care for one another. She was like an older sister to you, the void left by your late sister Lyanna did not seem so large with her around.
“I'm fine, I just needed to fetch something from my bedchambers, that's all.” You lie. However, the older woman somehow always manages to see right through you.
She gazes upon you skeptically only to eventually release your arm. She takes a step back, allowing you to take your leave without further interrogation.
-
In truth, you were far from alright.
Despite yourself, you have been on edge since finding out that the King is on his way to Winterfell with his Lady wife and all of their children.
This visit is a sudden one. Upon the death of Jon Arryn you had expected things to be different, knowing how much the former Hand meant to your brother– but you never anticipated a visit from the King himself.
You hadn't seen Robert in nine years, and his wife for longer than that.
It is not by accident.
If it was up to you, things would be different. You would still be in King's Landing today, perhaps serving as Knight– or as Cersei had once intended, a personal guard for the Queen.
You were once certain that you would spend the rest of your days by Cersei's side, no matter the circumstances, but you merely held the high hopefulness of a young girl.
Since then have been forced to accept that life is nothing like the tales and songs you were fed as a child. The Gods are not always merciful, things rarely ever go to plan and love most certainly does not conquer all.
Life got in the way of your love, and pride did the rest.
You have not spoken to Cersei Lannister in a decade, yet your entire being continued to ache with every day that you have spent apart. Time does not heal the type of hurt that only yields to resentment.
When the King and Queen arrive for their visit on the morrow, you intend to avoid her Grace at all costs, for her sake and your own. Above all, you will have no choice but to grit your teeth and endure what you must.
You haven't seen Cersei in years, but you were bound to slaughter each other given the chance.
═══════════════════════════════════════════
“Come in!” You beckon whoever was on the other side of the door as you fastened the clasps on your doublet.
Ned ceases his knocking, pushing the door open, he looks upon you in a way he knew you hated, but your brother can hardly help it.
He worries about you. When you returned home all those years ago, you were inconsolable.
You are a Stark, not made for the South. Your brother tried in jest, but he knew it wasn't the weather, or even court politics that despaired you.
It was Cersei, it had always been Cersei.
"The King was seen riding up; he should be arriving any moment.” Ned states.
“Right, I'm almost done here.” You quip, but the man takes it upon himself to assist you with your sheepskin cloak, draping it over your shoulders.
He keeps his hands on you, his brows furrowed with evident worry, and for some reason you can't help but find it all a bit silly, you chuckle lightly. “I will be fine, Ned.”
Your brother appears less than convinced, you shove him playfully. “You worry about me too much, brother, it’s beginning to age you.”
Ned scoffs. “Aye, try being in my position for a day and you'll understand why I worry so much… but it is time that's aging me, little sister.” Ned quips in response and this makes you pause.
You notice the streaks of white, scattered across his dark locks. As the morning sun peeks through the window, catching his face, you observe more of those streaks in his beard.
Where has time gone?
Ned steps closer, it seems that he has mistaken your silence for something else. Your brother plants a quick kiss on the crown of your head as a result.
In times like this you can't help but feel like a girl of thirteen again, looking to her older brother for protection.
═══════════════════════════════════════════
You watched as the Kingsguard rode through the walls of Winterfell, Lannister banners in hand. It unsettles you more than you thought it would. You gnaw at the inside of your cheek, turning to Sansa, her younger sister still nowhere in sight.
“Sansa, where is your sister?” You question and the girl only shrugs dismissively, but you aren't left wondering for long as Arya can be seen pushing through the crowd, quickly settling next to you.
The young girl was wearing an iron helm you had never seen before, her once pristine dress now ornamented with specks of dirt and grime. You shake your head disapprovingly, an effort to suppress your amusement.
Sansa scoffs at the sight of her younger sister, while you snatch the helm off Arya's head, she looks up at you with a scowl.
“Where did you even get this?” You ask, your tone manages to match the look on her face.
Arya gives you no response, and you aren't allowed the opportunity to press her further as you feel a nudge against your arm. Ned forces you to look ahead as the King can be seen dismounting his horse.
Ned kneels, and you and everyone else follows suit.
After a beat, the King's command all of you to rise, and soon you spot the carriage halting a few feet behind him.
You involuntarily held your breath as the door opens. The Queen emerges, she keeps her gaze ahead as she climbs down the steps.
Cersei looks the picture of poise and grace. She seems older, and somehow even more beautiful than you remembered. It knocked the wind right out of you, you had to look away.
Your eyes are no longer on the Queen, but your chest aches all the same.
“Cat!” Your attention is pulled to the display before you as the King addresses your sister in law, pulling her in for an embrace that she doesn't appear to be prepared for.
“Nine years. why haven't I seen you, where the hell have you been?” Robert addresses your brother once more.
“Guarding the North, Your Grace. Winterfell is yours.” Ned replies, practiced and noble as he always was.
Robert then turns to you, a scowl upon his face, one that stuns you slightly. Your mind turns to Cersei, you consider what she might have shared with her Lord husband in your absence.
She must have told him the real reason you left King's Landing, no doubt the King will want you punished for repeatedly bedding his wife all those years ago. but then the King's frown turns, and your mind ceases its torment.
Robert lunges only to pull you in for an embrace, a gesture that startles you, your body remains tense until he releases you from his hold.
“I expected better from you, Y/n.” The King narrows his gaze in a puckish manner.
“Unlike your damned brother here I thought you enjoyed the Keep. I was sure you wanted to serve in my Kingsguard.” He adds, and you force a grin, gallant yet strained.
“I admit that was a different time, Your Grace. These days, my passions lie elsewhere.” You reply, and you can hardly prevent the way your gaze flits towards the Queen for a moment.
Cersei has been stood beside her husband, staring at you relentlessly for the entire duration of this interaction. If the Queen has remained the same person she was all those years ago, then you know for certain this was her attempt to intimidate– but you were not so keen on letting her have the upper hand.
You drill your expression, unfazed.
The King snorts derisively at your answer, but says nothing more.
═══════════════════════════════════════════
You had spent most of the afternoon, drowning in your cups. The knowledge that Cersei was only a few doors away was aggravating, everything you thought to have successfully repressed has now resurfaced.
Every inch of you calls out to Cersei, your very soul yearns for her. You craved the unbearable pain, and blinding pleasure that came with being around her.
You have laid awake many nights picturing the ways you would confront her. The things you would say to her.
You fantasized about the possibility of finally being rid of all of your pain. To hurt her the same way she hurt you. Your heart, dense and cold, obstructed by all things Cersei. Within you, you carried everything you despised about the other woman– and all the things you adored.
The Queen was a mistake you couldn't erase, and simultaneously the best thing that has ever happened to you. You hate her, but you cannot stand to be apart from her.
-
The sound of commotion snatches you out of your thoughts. The voices that permeate sound vaguely familiar to you, but you are only able to place them once you take a glance out your window.
You spot Arya and Bran in the courtyard. Prince Joffrey standing over them, your face falls as you spot his steel unsheathed from his scabbard and in his hand.
Without another moment's thought you rushed downstairs towards the training yard, prepared to pacify the affair, however dire it may be, but it seems Arya has taken the situation into her own hands.
Bran is gone, but the Prince is now on the ground. It seems that Arya has managed to disarm the older boy, his steel thrown to the side in the dirt.
Now she is threatening Joffrey with a wooden practice sword, her direwolf beside her, growling with intent at the Prince.
“Arya enough!” You intercept the blow, forcefully dragging your niece away from the boy.
“What the seven hells do you think you're doing?” You bark, and Arya drops the sword, her chest still heaving.
A young girl seething with unbridled fury was such an uncommon sight that it makes you grimace.
“He was trying to hurt Bran! I had to protect him.” Arya gestures to the Prince, the boy still whimpering in pain.
“Damn you and that stupid dog! I am telling my mother! I will report you to the king!” Joffrey hurls his threats, and Arya makes the juvenile decision to respond.
“Nymeria's a direwolf, not a dog!” She shouts and you sigh, placing a hand over your niece's mouth to silence her, an action Arya fights but your grip on her doesn't relent.
“My Prince, I am sure my niece meant no harm–” You try but the boy interjects.
“No harm?” The Prince hisses. “She nearly sliced my arm off!” Once again he whimpers like a pup that had just been trampled.
You take a step forward to examine the cut on Joffrey's arm, and it was only that– a minor cut, one that will heal without leaving as much as a scar.
Large footsteps approach, the Prince's sworn guard comes rushing to the scene, Sandor Clegane scowls at you before assisting the boy to his feet effortlessly with one hand.
“Some protector you are, dog. I almost died!” Joffrey then redirects his frustrations towards his guard.
He continues muttering insults as he retrieves his sword from the dirt, strutting out of the training yard.
Nymeria doesn't cease her growling until the boy was entirely out of sight, it was also only then you remove your hand from Arya's mouth.
“Have you completely lost your wits?” You gape, looking down at your niece disapprovingly, before kneeling to be at eye level with her.
“He was–” Arya starts, but you interrupt.“–I don't care what he did, Arya. You never attack a Prince.” You state firmly.
“You do something like this again and I will make sure you never get the chance to wield a weapon again, do you understand?” You assert, and your tone is harsh enough to make Arya wince.
She doesn't reply with words, she continues looking down at her feet as she nods.
“Let's go and get you cleaned up.” You state, you try to pull her by the arm but Arya doesn't budge.
“I was trying to be brave, like you.” She mutters under her breath, and you turn to look at the young girl once more.
“What?” You ask.
“Don't be upset with me, please, please. I'm sorry.” Then Arya states frantically, her voice small and frail– it shatters you.
“Oh, Arya– my sweet girl.” You say, kneeling once again. “I'm not upset, I was worried.” You pull her in for an embrace, your niece clutches you tightly in return.
After a prolonged moment, you cease the hug, wiping away some of the dirt from her face with the pads of your thumbs.
Then you took a quick scan of your surroundings, to ensure that you were alone before speaking again.
“Our Prince is a bit of a cunt.” You finally quip, earning a chuckle from Arya.
“He is.” Your niece beams at you, in turn this makes you fill with relief.
“I am proud of you for disarming him. but next time, leave it at that. Do you understand the consequences that come with attacking a King's heir?” You ask, and you watch as a realization graces the young girl, she averts her gaze, this time with guilt.
“Never again, do you hear me?”
═══════════════════════════════════════════
You were exhausted from the events of the day, and yet it was not close to over.
You decide to retire to your chambers, aiming for at least a few hours rest before the King's welcome feast later this evening.
Resting your hand on the pommel of your sword, you take large steps through the gallery. You crave the horn of ale waiting for you on your nightstand, the comfort of your warm bed.
You turn the corner, a figure appears before you and you swerve out of the way quickly enough to avoid whoever it was that decided to walk toward you in this exact moment from the opposite direction.
As you gather yourself to take a proper look at the woman who you nearly bumped into, your blood runs cold.
“Your Grace, forgive me.” You state curtly, inclining your head at Cersei.
Your hand remains resting on the hilt of your sword as you attempt to slip past her, but before you can successfully walk away, she has a hold of your arm, dragging you backwards to where you stood.
You yank your arm out of her hold, a scowl covers your features, but Cersei ignores your visible discontent as she speaks.
“That niece of yours tried to murder my son.” The Queen accuses.
“What?” You can't help the half-laugh that slips out of you. Cersei takes offense to this, her expression hardens.
“Joff will bear those scars for the rest of his life.” She is not backing down, and you can't pretend that you possessed the will to deal with her theatrics.
You only roll your eyes, finally slipping past her and into your chambers.
You step inside your room, but before you can close the door Cersei intercepts, forcefully pushing it open to let herself in.
She slams it closed behind herself.
“You dare walk away from your Queen?” She bellows.
This time you groan, collapsing onto your bed.
You ignore her statement, rubbing your hands over your face in frustration. “Oh, Cersei, it is a cut, it'll heal!”
A prolonged silence from the Queen, she only speaks again once you sit up in your bed.
“You've not changed a bit.” She remarks, treacherous emerald gaze meeting your pale greys.
“Neither have you.” You retaliate boldly.
More silence until Cersei is first to look away, clasping her hands infront of herself she assumes an impassive stance.
“I will have that girl punished.” The Queen threatens, her tone sounds spiteful. but you don't hide your incredulity.
“For what?” You ask, and Cersei's jaw clenches even tighter, you wonder if she might lunge at you.
“She attacked my son. the King's heir.” Cersei retorts, and you scoff.
“Is that what Robert’s teaching his sons? How to lose to a little girl?” You taunt, not backing down.
You knew Arya should receive consequences for her actions by right, but giving Cersei that satisfaction is the absolute last thing you plan to do.
“Or is it not the King's doing at all?” You ask again as Cersei fails to respond. You rise from the bed, stepping closer to the Queen.
“Is it Jaime's fault?” You tilt your head inquisitively, mockingly.
You are close enough to smell the lavender oil on Cersei's skin. Her eyes flit to your lips for a fleeting moment, and yours do the same to hers.
Then a madness overcomes you, prompting your next choice of words.
“I expect it is him you've been opening your legs for these days–” You utter, but you are swiftly silenced when Cersei's palm makes contact with your cheek.
She slaps you across the face, your head turns slightly from the force of it. Your face is now throbbing, raw and red with traces of Cersei's wrath.
She goes to strike you again, and this time it is intercepted by your firm grip on her wrist.
A fury reignites within you as Cersei tries to fight out of your hold, entirely allowing your emotions to guide your actions, your hand finds her throat. Before your rational mind can mitigate it, you have your fingers firmly wrapped around her neck. The back of her head slams against the wooden door as you forcibly pinned her upon it.
The Queen is clawing at your hand, struggling to take a breath as you restricted her airway. A real fear flashes across Cersei's face, and a part of you wants to watch her fall limp within your grasp, to quiet her once and for all, to destroy the cause of your agony. but you don't– instead you take a step back, releasing her.
Cersei gasps as air sharply re enters her lungs, roughly wiping away the tears that have made it down her cheeks.
The Queen attempts to regain her resolve the best she can, and the look she gives you is not one of shock, instead it is pure disdain, and you look at her the same. Cersei doesn't speak, she merely shoves you harshly with both hands against your chest, as you stumbled back, she turns to open the door.
You collapse on your bed once more as Cersei dissapears into the hallway, the door shutting behind her.
“Fuck.” You cursed under your breath. It seemed the Queen will never fail to elicit the worst from you– to make you act like an utter lunatic.
═══════════════════════════════════════════
The welcome feast has been dragging on now for what felt like an eternity.
The King was no longer seated as his high table, instead he was in the center of the hall, shamelessly flirting with some of the servants.
You roll your eyes, reaching for the flagon of ale infront of you, as you attempted to lift it, it doesn't budge. You fleetingly wonder if the liquor had caused you to lose all strength in your arm, only to realize your brother was holding the jug firmly on the table so it wouldn't move.
You squint at Ned, and he glares at you in return.
“Enough. You'll drink yourself into an early grave if you keep this up.” Your brother warns and it makes you snigger.
“That is the plan, brother.” You slur slightly, but Ned makes the deliberate effort to ignore you.
You slump backwards in your chair, when you've realized you lost this argument, as you often did when it came to the lord of Winterfell.
You eyes fall upon King Robert once more, he is still in the middle of the room, surrounded by maidens and even more whores.
This time he is no longer flirting with them, he is in a full lip lock with one of the women. He does this in the presence of the Queen, dishonouring her for all to see.
You grimace at the sight, an unwanted rage overcomes you. You can hardly believe this lecherous drunk was King of the Seven Kingdoms. Married to the most beautiful woman in all of the seven kingdoms, the only woman you have ever wanted.
You can't bear to look at Cersei's reaction to this, in fact you can hardly remain at this feast for a moment longer. You abruptly rise from your seat, Ned looks up at you, puzzled.
“May I please be excused?” You asked formally for the rest of the table to hear and your brother hesitates before nodding curtly in response.
As you walked back to your chambers you can't help but invision what your life would have been like if your brother had taken the Iron throne instead of Robert Baratheon. If you had remained in King's Landing– if you had wedded Cersei instead.
Perhaps in a different life.
You and Cersei would be married, and you'd rule together. In another reality Cersei would be your Queen and not Robert's. She would bear your children, your heirs. You would grow old together and live out your days by each other's side. In a different life, you would have remained faithful to Cersei, you would have given her everything she desired and in return, Cersei would offer you her heart.
You would have been happy.
In another life.
By the time you reached your room, the tears had stopped flowing, but the collar of your shirt remained drenched.
As you shut your door, you unclapsed your doublet, lifting it above your head, tossing it aimlessly across the room.
Now only in your tunic and breeches, you feel the urge to weep some more, but you refuse to allow your tears to fall this time.
You take a seat on the settee, head in your hands. The effects of the ale already wearing off, a headache rapidly setting in, you realized that you needed another drink.
You get up to fetch the flagon from the small table but as your door flings wide open, nearly hitting you in the process, you freeze where you stand.
A familiar golden haired beauty emerges through the doorway, and you allow yourself a deep breath. Clutching your chest slightly to calm yourself.
“Your Grace, the hour is late.” You state dismissively, starting across the room to fetch your goblet.
“If you have come to order my execution for my behaviour this afternoon, best get it over with.” You quip, the liquor in your system doing all of the talking for you.
You hear the door shut, without looking back you assume Cersei had taken her leave but you are perplexed when you turn to see her still standing by the door, watching you set down your goblet.
You walk across the room once more to take a seat on the settee, you remove your boots, setting them aside.
Cersei has remained silent for long enough that you nearly forgotten her presence entirely. Her next ask startles you.
“Look at me.” Her commanding tone leaves no room to argue, you glance at her.
Her eyes were swollen, her cheeks flushed. It is clear to you that she has been crying as well.
You rise from your seat abruptly, approaching her. “Are you alright?” You ask, and again the Queen says nothing.
She merely stares at you, hopefulness at your concern and despair at the fact that you needed to ask.
**
She lunges forward, before you can fully comprehend it, her lips crash against your own, she kisses you deeply, pure anguish and want. It snatches the air right out of your lungs, but you have no desire to pull away.
Your tongue makes contact with her own and Cersei moans, pulling you impossibly closer by the nape of your neck.
Your body pressed up against hers as she leans against the wall. You were now both panting into the kiss, all aggression and desire.
You had not been with Cersei like this in a decade, and yet there was a complete lack of uncertainty. It felt right, you were certain that you are meant to be with her like this, until the end of your days.
However, there still exists voice deep within you, whether it is pride or reason, you cannot say for certain. but it urges you to pull away, so you do.
The Queen chases your lips eagerly, but you pull back even further. “Cersei, stop. What is this, what are you doing?” You ask, every moment you spent without your lips on hers felt like pure agony.
“I just need you– please–” Cersei replies with a desperation you have never heard before, and this was enough to break you.
Any semblance of dignity vanishes into the very depths of yourself, all that's left is your deep and tortuous want for Cersei.
You kiss her again, rough and urgent, you are panting and groaning into each other's mouths. Cersei's hands immediately move to the hem of your breeches, she unlaces them in record time, slipping her hand inside.
You nearly lose it all when she wraps her fingers around the base of your cock, stroking it with such dexterity you fear your knees may give out.
“Gods–” You grunt, bucking your hips embarrassingly into her touch.
You find the strength to remove her hand from your breeches. Soon enough you slip them off, your slacks pooling around your ankles before you kicked them to the side.
You swiftly remove your own tunic as Cersei's trembling hands struggle to undo the laces of her dress.
Your patience wearing thin, you flip her around, indecently ripping the fabric open with one swift tug.
“Y/n–” Cersei scolds in response to your eagerness, glancing back at you with dissaproval, but her dress easily slips off her shoulders after that, her smallclothes follow suit.
The Queen is still facing away from you as you part her hair away from her neck, trailing open mouthed kisses against her hot flesh, as you reached a certain familiar spot, your teeth grazed the skin, before biting down on it briefly.
This earns a louder noise from Cersei, she is still trembling as she turns back around to face you, grabbing you firmly to pull you in for another sloppy kiss.
Lips still interlocked, the Queen walks you backwards onto the bed, Cersei doesn't waste another moment, straddling you as soon as you settled your rear on the edge of the bedding.
Your cock now stiff as a rod, poking at Cersei's entrance. The other woman begins moving her hips as you kissed, rubbing her cunt on the length of your shaft, coating it with her slick.
Your breath quickens, the sensation was maddening, you needed to be inside her now.
“Gods, I missed you.” You let it slip as your lips parted for a moment, but Cersei doesn't respond.
The Queen's grip on the nape of your neck moves to your hair as she grasps a handful of it, tugging your head back slightly. Her other hand travels south, she grips the base of your cock once more, this time lining it up to her entrance.
She begins lowering herself onto your length, Cersei moves quickly, with every inch that enters her, she lets out a gasp at the sensation. Soon you are sheathed inside of her to the hilt, and Cersei throws her head back, she releases an unrestrained moan, her hands now firmly on your shoulders.
She attemps to push you back against the bed, but you refuse to budge. Cersei relents, kissing you again as she moves her hips up and down the length of your cock. With every moan from Cersei you retaliate with a groan.
The feeling of her walls fluttering against your girth made you dizzy. The Queen felt so unbelievably good wrapped around your cock, you had forgotten just how intoxicating it was.
Now that you were experiencing it again, you never wanted it to end.
Vulgar noises of your coupling filled the room as Cersei moved herself desperately against your lap, your cock hitting just the right spots within her.
The Queen can feel her release already approaching, entirely overwhelmed by this she falls limp against you, but you manage to support her weight with minimal effort. Her hips still moving at a steady pace until it finally hits her, her orgasm washes over her like a wave.
Cersei cries out in pleasure, partially muffled against your neck, she holds onto you for dear life as her peak overcomes all her other senses, relentless and unforgiving. You feel her cunt clenching painfully around your cock, her short shallow breaths against your neck, she is trembling helplessly, and you never want to let her go.
“Seven hells.” The Queen breathes out, finally lifting her head to look at you.
Cersei's eyes were nearly glazed over, her chest heaving violently, but you were far from done with her.
You capture her lips with your own again, earning a content moan. You remained sheathed inside of her as you flipped your positions, now Cersei laid on the bed, with you on top of her. The other woman's gasp in surprise is muffled by your own mouth against hers.
Once again she moans into your mouth as you began your thrusts, deep and slow, you aim to feel every inch of her. Cersei wraps her legs around your waist, pulling you in even deeper.
The Queen gasps as your mouth found the swell of her breasts, your tongue leaving a trail of saliva as you expertly moved from one nipple to the other.
Your thrusts grow harsh and inconsistent as you felt your own climax building. Cersei's back arches, a deafening moan rips out of her.
You roughly placed your hand against her stomach, pinning her down against the bed as you continued to rut into her. Cersei was mewling and panting like a whore now as you used her for your own pleasure, heightening her own in the process.
The Queen finds just enough strength to pull you closer, her lips now against your ear.
“Tell me you love me.” Cersei pleads, and this takes you entirely by surprise, you slow your movements but you don't stop.
“What?” You ask, shaky, breathless.
“Just say it.” The Queen repeats amidst another moan, she clenches around your cock and the sound that emits from you then is guttural, primal.
You oblige without asking further questions.
“I love you, Cersei” You speak, from the heart, damning the consequences.
With that, Cersei reaches her peak again, her nails digging into the flesh of your back as she comes. The feeling of her perfect cunt milking your cock, accompanied by her writhing body underneath you was enough to push you over the edge.
As you attempt to pull out, Cersei kept her legs firmly wrapped around your waist, holding you in place. You are not given the opportunity to question it as it was already too late, you moaned as you released your load deep inside her, painting her womb with your seed.
**
═══════════════════════════════════════════
Nearly a candlemark has passed since your coupling and neither you or Cersei have said more than a few words.
Simply embracing each other under the sheets, she rests her head against your shoulder, tracing circles absentmindedly with her finger against your abdomen.
This position was achingly familiar, almost as if no time had passed.
Cersei soon moves her hand further up, she traces her fingers across your bottom lip before running her thumb down the bridge of your nose. The sensation earns a chuckle out of you, you finally had to reach up to remove her hand, guiding it away from your face.
Cersei's stare betrays an intensity that makes your heart constrict painfully in your chest.
Still unspeaking, it was your turn to explore her body, but you don't get very far, your fingertips trace the faint bruising on her neck, the marks left by your own cruelty.
The Queen then shuts her eyes, she doesn't allow herself to look upon your guilt any longer. Wrapping her arm across your torso, nuzzling her face against your shoulder.
“I'm not letting you go– never again.” Cersei mutters, and the smile that tugs on your lips is one of relief and acceptance.
You don't supress the urge to plant a lingering kiss on her temple, one the Queen allows herself to melt into.

✦ i'd take a bullet for you.
in which they come to your rescue.
part 1.
characters -> diluc, wanderer. more characters coming soon!
info -> sfw!!, fem!reader, established relationships (married in dilucs), angst to comfort, if your fav isn't here feel free to request and i'll do a part 2!
diluc had some business matters to attend to at the angel's share, which kept him from coming home to you until after sunset. you reside with him at the dawn winery, on the outskirts of mondstadt, which are not always safe at night. as long as you stayed inside, which is what you usually do, diluc had a peace of mind. the matter at his tavern had taken hours to diffuse, and by the time he was done, his desire to spend the night with you in his arms lured him home.
after executing the usual couple of slimes on the trek from mondstadt city to the winery, your lover let out a relieving sigh. as he stepped into the darkness of the mansion, he assumed you were sound asleep. his jaw dropped with a yawn as he climbed up the stairs, reaching your shared bedroom. but when he opened the door, he found an empty bed, and you nowhere to be seen.
in not a moment's notice he had his coat back on. fear wrenched its way through his gut, something told him that you were not at home. if so, where could you be?
diluc's eyebrows furrowed and his jaw clenched as he made his way around the house, thinking perhaps you were just up late, but only meeting empty room after empty room. it was then that his fear was realized. you were nowhere to be found, and no one was around to help him find you. a thousand questions raced in his mind as he dashed out the door, but he paid none of them any attention. he was ready to scour all of teyvat just to find you.
meanwhile, you had been out picking fresh grapes. it was nighttime, yes, and all of the staff had left for the night. but you figured that staying close by the building in the light would keep you safe. besides, you were desiring a midnight snack, and were lucky enough to live on the best vineyard in the seven nations. you kneeled to the ground, twisting ripe purple grapes off the vine, and popping them into your mouth. just a couple were enough to satiate your midnight hunger, so you stood back up and started to head back inside.
the clacking of footfalls on cobblestone perked your ears, and you turned around, excited to reunite with diluc. though, what you came face to face with was three treasure hoarders. the blood drained from your face, contorting into a look of pure horror as you recognized their outfits. a chill raced down your spine and you instinctively took on a defensive stance.
"don't come any closer. my husband will hurt you" you breathed. you were bluffing a little, hoping diluc would be coming back any second now. though even if he didn't come to save you now, he would get to them eventually. you just had to put faith in the former knight.
but what the hoarders said next sent your heart thumping against your chest.
"we know diluc is at the angel's share. and that the staff at dawn winery are all home for the night. it's the perfect opportunity to have a bit of fun," the leader of the trio smirked, taking one painstakingly slow step toward you. you took one back, but every step you made he made another, and eventually you had backed into your home. with a burst of courage, you reached for the door and slammed it shut, but the three criminals were strong. they threw themselves against the wooden door, which easily gave way.
the next thing you knew, you found yourself blindfolded with your hands tied behind your back. the sound of wagon wheels reached your ears, and a faint breeze tickled your skin. your heart skipped a beat as you realized you were being taken away. how would diluc find you now? no, you had to have faith in him. he's the darknight hero, after all. though, you couldn't help but be terrified of what the criminals would do until your hero got there.
though, you ended up not needing to worry about that, because the wagon came screeching to a halt, followed by the high pitched squealing of horses. you were thrown forward, colliding with a barrel. a searing pain ripped through your temple, and you found yourself fading from consciousness.
diluc grabbed the leader of the treasure hoarders by the collar, effortlessly lifting him up out of the front seat of the wagon, before throwing him to the ground.
"please! i'll give you whatever you want! i'll take you to our camp, we have mora!" what a pathetic little dog, begging for his life at diluc's feet, tears streaming down his eyes.
"I don't need mora. i need my wife," your husband snapped, raising his claymore. the hoarders shrunk into the ground, instinctively lifting their hands. but diluc never struck. instead, he leaned down and whispered into their leader's ear. "the knights of favonius are on their way to apprehend you. don't even think about running away, or i will find you, and your death will be long and miserable."
in one swift movement, diluc struck his blade into the ground, and rushed over to your form. a pained cry escaped your lips as he removed your blindfold, revealing a shallow wound on your forehead.
the breath caught in your lover's throat, and his heart stopped beating for a moment as he reached out to caress your cheek.
"i'm so sorry... i'm so sorry. i failed to protect you," his voice trembled as he wrapped his arms around you, tears streaming from his eyes.
he carried you all the way back to the winery, gently laying you down on the bed. he tended to your wound, dabbing at it with a cold, wet towel. you winced, reaching out your hand to take his. he gladly intertwined your fingers, rubbing his thumb against your knuckle.
"my darling, i'll never leave you vulnerable again. i can't express how deeply sorry i am for failing you." his voice began to shake again, so you reached out and touched his lips, silencing his sorrows.
"you came to my rescue, that's what matters. i never doubted you for a second. i know you will always find me."
with that, you pulled him into your arms, and he pressed his lips on your neck, breathing in your scent.
⸻
wanderer took you on a trip to inazuma, to show you his birthplace. he refused to leave your side in a land that was foreign to you, with culture and laws you weren't familiar with. he worried you could be easily taken advantage of. the two of you stayed at an inn in inazuma city, with a view overlooking the sea. on the last night of your vacation, after everything had been going smoothly, so your partner decided to take you for a stroll on the beach, under the stars.
the two of you held hands as you trudged along the shore. you took off your shoes to sink your toes into the cold sand, while your lover watched you with a smile. the sea's waves pulled back and forth, trickling across your bare feet. it felt cold, but not too cold. it gave you an idea.
"let's get in the water," you suggested excitedly, taking a step forward into the ocean, the water gently guiding you further in. wanderer reached out to you, his smile fading. doubt was visible on his face.
"that might not be a good idea," he tried to warn, but you were already waist-deep in the water. the thing about inazuma's surrounding ocean is that it was very prone to vicious currents and thunderstorms, especially around narukami island, which is where the two of you were. but you didn't know that, he didn't think it would come up. "y/n, you should get out. i can't guarantee it's safe to swim-"
a sudden shriek cut him off, and his eyes widened as a sudden wave engulfed you, dragging you down under.
"fuck!" he screamed, wasting no time sprinting into the water. his heart pounded in his chest as he dove down and shot back up, down and up, searching for you. you couldn't scream, couldn't breathe as the rip current heaved you away. you were barely under the surface, but it was still out of your reach as you had no strength to fight the stream. as you held your breath, your chest burned. your brain pounded against your skull, and your eyes seared from the salty water.
"y/n! fuck, y/n, where are you?" your partner screamed, a visceral, agonizing scream. he realized he didn't have a choice but to wait for the current to dissipate. if he went in to save you, it would only end up killing you both. so he tread water, chest heaving with breaths. his eyes darted around, waiting for the ocean to spit you up somewhere. when it finally did, he was already scissoring through the water.
wanderer hooked his arm around your body and swam back to the shore, laying you on the sand. looking down at your unconscious form, his eyes darkened, and he found himself fighting the urge to hurt something. anger bubbled up inside him. anger at himself, anger at the ocean. he leaned down and opened your mouth, pressing his to yours, attempting to breathe life back into you.
soon enough, you were coughing and spluttering water, your throat raw from the salt. you sat up and heaved air into your lungs, eyes welling up with tears.
wanderer's eyes brightened immediately and he threw himself onto you, holding your head against his chest.
"i don't know what i'd fucking do if i lost you," he breathed. even just the thought of your death started to take over his mind, forcing shallow breaths from his lungs, and tears streaming down his cheeks. from the looks of it, he was having a panic attack. you looked up, meeting his eyes, and cradled his face in your hands.
"you didn't lose me, i'm right here. i'll be by your side forever," you promised him, pressing a kiss to his lips. he quickly melted into it, closing his eyes and releasing the tension in his jaw.
"and i'll always be here to save you."

At long last, my attempt at unhinged Satoru and the basketball au that's been rotting in my brain since that damn twitter post. Enjoy!
Now
The wedding is a quiet, modest affair, but that doesn’t stop the paparazzi from finding you.
Or not you, but rather the several high-profile guests rumored to be attending your friend’s big day. You peak out at the gaggle of people and cameras gathered at the front of the venue from the makeshift bride’s dressing room. Anxiety blossoms in your chest. If this is the turnout for just the rehearsal dinner, you can only imagine what chaos will ensue for the main event. Any other day, you might have been among them - standing among a crowd of sweaty, haranguing men, juggling a Canon with a lens the length of your forearm in the hope that the next picture you snap lands you your next paycheck. Your next meal.
“Don’t worry,” Utahime sidles up behind you just as your stomach growls. She places a gentle hand on your shoulder with a knowing smile, guiding your attention away from the window. “Our vows are short. Dinner is right around the corner.”
Having made the mistake of arriving at the rehearsal dinner on an empty stomach, you’ve kept your hands and stomach occupied with the free-flowing wine and sake offered by the venue up to this point. Placing your glass on the windowsill you pat your stomach with one hand and take her manicured hand in the other, shooting her a grin and shifting the unease from your expression with practiced grace. “As long as you still promise I can take home leftovers.”
You take a step back to take in your former colleague, adorned in a beautiful pink kimono. Even in the fading afternoon light, Utahime is radiant, practically glowing from the inside out at the prospect of marrying her best friend. You give her hand a gentle squeeze and tell her as much.
The clamor outside the venue gets a little louder. The crowd grows restless. Glancing out the window again, you slip out of your friend’s grasp to pocket your hands and ball them into fists in the fabric. You think you spot a few white basketball jerseys among the crowd. “Well, that’s just fucking rude.”
“No, no. Don’t look over there, look at me.” Utahime admonishes, pinching your chin between two fingers to twist your head back in her direction with a grave expression, redirecting you once again with a little less gentleness.
“But that’s bad luck, don’t they know - the fucking audacity -,”
The bride-to-be shakes your head with her grasp on your chin before releasing you with a scowl.
“Sports fans will be sports fans. Plus, they’re technically not even attending the wedding, so it doesn’t even count, right?”
Maybe it’s the wine getting to you, but the fact that one person can cause such a hassle before they’ve even arrived grates on your nerves more easily than usual. You make a rebuttal but it dies on your lips at the sight of Utahime’s pleading expression. It’s the night before her wedding day - you should be doing everything in your power not to transfer the bubbling pit of unease manifesting in your chest in light of what awaits you beyond the dressing room doors.
“I know it’ll be difficult having him here, but he’s important to Shoko, so he’s important to me,” she tells you not unkindly, and not for the first time.
“I’ll be civil.” You promise and mean it. You had practiced your carefully crafted looks of disinterest in the mirror in the nights leading up to tonight. Any word spoken in his direction over the course of this weekend would be laden with well-rehearsed apathy.
Utahime sighs, adjusting the neckline of your dress before moving to return to where the gaggle of her aunts and cousins sit and gossip among themselves. Waiting for the rehearsal to start. “I’m less worried about what you’ll do when you see him, than what Gojo will do when he sees you.”
-
This day isn’t yours, but the days building up to it have been an excruciating crawl. The full picture hadn’t yet registered with you when you first received the wedding invitation. Initially, you had been overjoyed and honored to see the epic conclusion of what had been a long time coming - the marriage of Ms. Shoko Ieiri and Utahime Iori.
You remember scrambling for your phone and screaming, crying. Blubbering your well wishes to an exasperated Utahime and sleep-disheveled Shoko over a video call. The ceremony would take place in less than six months and there was so much to do. What dress would you wear? How would you afford to book a flight to Kyoto so soon? How much tourism could you squeeze in between your arrival and the ceremony?
The guest list hadn’t exactly been on the forefront of your mind.
Utahime and Shoko had proven themselves to be far from the flashy wedding type. The venue of choice was a tiny art gallery in Kyoto, with just enough space for a selective audience to be present to witness the nuptials. You had anticipated meeting your former colleague’s childhood friends and relatives. You had assumed that, aside from Utahime’s family in the States and an old classmate or two from college, you would be the furthest traveling guests. Reuniting with your ex-college situationship is the last thing you would have expected given your circumstances and his.
And yet when the bride-to-be texts you a photo of Shoko and the man in question looking buddy-buddy at a dive bar captioned with a simple heads up a week before your departure, it’s already too late to refund your flight. Of course, world-famous top-ranking NBA player Satoru Gojo would be best friends - childhood pals, even - with renowned sports medicine physician Shoko Ireri.
Of course.
“So is he, like, a bum in real life or something?” A family friend of Utahime’s whispers to you from where you’re seated at the back of the ceremony space, watching as the wedding coordinator flits about the venue, rearranging furniture and decorations about the altar. She seems young - also a foreigner, maybe early twenties, and looks about as out of place as you feel. You distantly wonder which relative she knows.
“Hm?”
“You know…”
“Who?”
“That basketball player. You’re that journalist, right? I like your dress.”
You furl your lips and do your best to not appear peeved. So much for being a fly on the wall. It appears that feigning ignorance won’t get you out of this one, but you should have known better - this is Japan’s all-star athlete she’s talking about, after all.
“Thanks. Yeah, yup. That’s me.”
“Yeah, he’s an asshole?”
“What-, no. No, that’s not what I said.” You blunder for the right words, torn between overexplaining yourself and telling her to get the fuck away from you. Taking a sip from your new glass, you glance around the rim and look for one of the brides or a signal that the rehearsal is starting to save you to no avail. At this point, even after all of these years, you’re not used to the questions. The speculations. The envious glances and disdainful side-eyes that follow. “He’s fine, great,” you offer her instead with a noncommittal shrug. “I wouldn’t really know.”
The guest looks surprised to hear this, but then you think back to how she referred to you as that journalist , and figure she assumes that’s still your field of work. Or that maybe you’re still in touch. It’s not a completely unfair assumption - Gojo was the much-needed catalyst to your career. Or at least, writing about him was. Whether he was just as charitable towards you in other, more illicit ways was always up for debate in the fan circles online whenever your article was brought into question.
Silence falls between you both as you watch the wedding coordinator struggle to carry two chairs across the room by herself. Neither of you stands to offer help. The guest doesn’t let the pause in conversation last for very long. You can practically hear the words buzzing behind her lips before she can even say them. Or maybe your ears are just ringing. “I read your article, I think.”
“Mm. Yeah?”
“Sure. It’s a shame, what happened to those two boys.”
“Mmhmm.”
“And they were so young too.”
“Yes, we all were.”
Your response comes off a little sharper than you intend it to be. The woman jolts a little in her seat, as though it’s just occurred to her that you had to have been a witness to the falling out she’s referring to for you to have published the detailed account that you did. To write the piece that cemented the legacy of your careers together forever, or at least until the athlete’s inevitable downfall. The invisible string that tied you to Gojo Satoru no matter how far you ran or how often you tried to cut it.
The ringing in your ears gets a little bit louder. Your lips bruise under the pressure of your teeth before you take another sip.
Despite it being five years after its publishing, there is no escape from the meteoric impact of your last submission to your alma mater's student newspaper and the events that transpired before it made print. Even if you could somehow stop the memories from resurfacing, the public will do its due diligence to remember for you. To remind you wholeheartedly. Sometimes you wished back then you had learned a lot sooner to say no to some tasks when offered. But back then you had been so eager to please.
The guest clears her throat and shifts in her seat, effectively chastened. You wonder what the chances are that Shoko is hiding a pack of smokes somewhere in her dressing room, and if anyone would notice if you snuck off for a moment. The wine is slowly creeping up on you like a warm cloak. A drunk cigarette to take the edge off is beginning to sound nice.
“Have you seen him play since he joined the league?” The woman asks in a poor attempt to change the subject. You eye her wearily, facing her directly this time to discern if she’s a fan. She prattles on without waiting for you to answer, nervous in the face of your sudden full attention. “He’s a freak of nature, I swear, and that smile when he-,”
“No, m’fraid not.” You cut her off, finally making to stand. The idea of seeking out Shoko’s cigarettes before the rehearsal starts becomes more and more appealing the longer you sit here. Something in the way the woman scrunches her face at your dismissal tells you you’ll be hearing about this interaction from Utahime later.
“Really? He’s literally everywhere these days.” She remarks, but you hear the underlying snark loud and clear: I find that hard to believe.
The double doors to the ceremony space are flung open behind the harried wedding coordinator as she suddenly rushes from the room, whispering fervently into the phone pressed to her cheek. Beyond them, the cacophony of paparazzi and fast clicks of camera shutters spill into the space. That’s my cue to leave.
You offer the family friend one last tight-lipped smile before turning to escape in the direction opposite of all the noise.
“Honestly, I’m just not a big sports fan.”
–
You’re purposefully sitting on opposite sides of the room, but that doesn’t stop Gojo Satoru from sweeping the place head to toe in the middle of the rehearsal.
You try to maintain your tipsy focus on literally anything else. The ceremony altar, the guest next to you breathing a little too hard, the price tag of the dress digging into your back that you’re determined to keep on until you can return it next week. Anything other than the flagrant way the grown man in a designer button-up and shades twists and turns in his seat to scan the room.
The pseudo-ceremony plays out before you, as you watch from the Iori family’s side of the room as ceremony officials walk the soon-to-be newlyweds through the process. The couple surprised you with their decision to go the more traditional route, but as you watch the rehearsal, you can appreciate how much more intimate this is compared to the alternative. The lack of a bridal party or audience participation is also a plus.
Wondering how much more different this affair would have been if your former colleague had needed a bridal party and you had been a bridesmaid, you allow your mind to wander. Would Gojo have been a groomsman? Or would he also be considered… a bridesmaid…?
Your wine-addled mind conjures up the image of Gojo and his Herculean figure squeezed into a modest gown, and you can’t help but huff through your nose. Somehow, regrettably, you know he would manage to pull it off. Curiosity getting the better of you, you finally manage to glance in his direction, hoping his attention has returned to your mutual friends as they nervously fumble through the ceremony steps.
Immediately, your eyes lock and you whip around to face forward again, incensed. With little care for discretion or the several other scrutinous pairs of eyes that follow his every move, Gojo’s head had been fully turned in your direction. Even the dark tint of his Ray-Bans - indoors, of course - couldn’t hide the full weight of his gaze. His megawatt smile turned up to its full effect once he’s got your attention. The athlete wiggles his fingers in a girlish wave.
You fume in your seat for a minute. So much for appearing uncaring. Whatever, you think, it’s not like you wouldn’t have had to face him eventually. In a setting this intimate, it was inevitable that you would run into him at some point. You will just have to do your due diligence and keep your distance.
Despite this, you still manage to cast one final look his way, having mustered up enough confidence to pull together a sneer. If you can’t give off an air of disinterest, then your next best play is disdain. The contempt is not hard to reach for, but your concern grows for the other guests playing audience to two performances, unwillingly. You wonder if that family friend of the Irori’s from earlier, seated a few rows behind you, has her phone out.
Gojo, whose unwavering stare in your direction at this point could be classified as downright rude for the setting, appears unbothered. More likely amused. His smile is unshakeable. Before you can redirect your attention, he mouths three words that make you go rigid in your seat.
There you are.
The ringing in your ears grows a little louder.
–
When you finally do find a moment of reprieve to make use of the cigarettes you “borrowed” from Shoko, the damage is already done.
As you pace around the enclosed garden beside the art gallery, away from the warmth of the festivities, panic begins to set in. The cool spring night air is sobering and nips at your cheeks.
All it took was one look to rattle the carefully conducted wall around your emotions and suddenly you’re second-guessing your ability to do this. Your strength to be here.
It feels like you have spent so much of the past few years of your life fighting for your independence from Satoru Gojo. There was a time, even before the article was published when the man had had a hand in every aspect of your life. And you had welcomed it. Directionless, spineless, and eager to make something of yourself. You had become a wayward sailor in the sea of post-graduate opportunities and Satoru Gojo had positioned himself as your North star.
And there was no doubt about the way your life had flourished when you let him. Not just the parties and the lavish gifts and the recognition.
The power that came with being associated with Satoru Gojo, even as a young college student and recent graduate, was unimaginable. But what you had been hooked on the most was his recognition, his steadfast attention to you, once earned. His belief in your craft. That kind of rare affection, the feeling of being seen - of belonging - had been his greatest gift to you. And that affection had buried itself so deep into your heart that once it had blossomed, it was nearly impossible to manage, and even more difficult to weed out.
You think of dark hair and amber eyes, and the warning that was afforded to you too little too late.
The cigarette, slightly bent from your pocket, trembles in your fingers while you dig through the other pocket for a lighter. Silently thanking whoever it was that made the rare decision to stitch pockets onto a dress.
You seclude yourself to a bench furthest from the garden entrance, take a deep, shaky breath, and flick the lighter to life. More than five years later, he can still get a rise out of you and it hurts .
“You know you can’t return the dress if it smells like smoke.”
Speak of the devil. Gojo's voice, dripping with amusement as he approaches, cuts through the relative peace. He startles you, the unlit cigarette fumbling to the ground from your feeble hold. You don't turn around, the anger simmering in your belly threatening to boil over.
"Still haven't learned to handle your nerves, I see."
"This isn't about nerves," you finally manage, voice tight.
"Oh, come now," he chuckles, leaning against the railing a few feet away. "Don't tell me seeing me doesn't stir a pot or two."
You clench your fists, the cigarette forgotten between them. "It shouldn't."
"No?" He steps closer, resting a hand on the furthest corner of the bench, yet very nearly leaning over you. Stopping a safe enough distance away, but still close enough to impose himself upon you. You don’t have to look to know that he sports that same teasing, knowing smile you’ve seen plastered on magazines and across news headlines for years. Your inability to see his eyes always makes it appear more menacing than not.
"I’m glad it’s not a problem then. I wouldn’t want things to become awkward between us.”
Clearing your throat and pocketing the lighter, you fight the urge to kick your aggravator in the shins. Utahime’s words come back to you. I’m less worried about what you’ll do when you see him, than what Gojo will do when he sees you. She should be more worried about me, you think as you finally turn to face him, wearily sizing him up from your seated position. It’s unfair that he’s still gorgeous after all this time. Rumors of enhancement drugs and body modifications chase him constantly, but you know better. Muscles built from years of hard work and relentless discipline flex and strain under the fabric of his dress shirt, smooth skin peeking from the collar of the top two buttons undone. You avert your eyes.
“You clearly still are unable to recognize when somebody wants to be alone,” you chide. “But other than that, no hard feelings, Gojo-san.”
“Gojo- san ?” The young man gasps dramatically, clutching his chest above his heart as though he’s been shot. “Such formalities! I thought we were friends.”
He says your name and it takes everything in you not to shoot off of the bench and break for the door. Torn between your fight or flight instincts as he makes himself comfortable on the bench beside you, folding one long leg over the other.
“Must’ve been excited to see me again, since you’re learning the language ‘n all. Who’s your teacher?”
You scoff. “Duolingo.”
“Ah. The wretched bird app. The final boss.”
“Need a tutor?” He tests his limits, broad enough to lean over and bump your shoulder with his own without moving too much when you don’t dignify him with a response. You don’t budge either, careful to keep your expression blank, your posture ramrod straight.
You can do this. You can be civil.
“Keeping me at arm’s length I see.”
You wonder how difficult it would be to knock him out and hide him somewhere in the garden underbrush, this man twice your size in stature, if only to gain some semblance of peace for the rest of the dinner. Your stomach rumbles at the thought of food. You still haven’t eaten.
Taking that as your cue to stand, you brush your clammy palms across the front of your dress and fix Gojo with a steely look. “I would appreciate it if you could keep things professional between us tonight. And tomorrow. As colleagues.”
“Colleagues?” He can hardly hide the laughter in his voice. The condescension in his tone is clear nonetheless. “Sure, sweetie. Is that what you told them?”
Them as in your mutual friends. As the one who greenlit the finished copy of your infamous undergraduate article, Utahime knows only slightly more than the average weekly paper reader about the months that led up to its printing. Caught glimpses of how your closing chapter in college shaped and broke you, then launched your career into an unimaginable trajectory all within the short period of a spring semester. You had only been able to come partially clean about the nature of your relationship with Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto in the years that followed, long after you had cut ties with the industry.
The tabloid media and its avid followers had enough to say about you. You didn’t need to hear it from your actual colleagues either.
“I’ve told them enough,” you bristle, spotting your discarded cigarette in your periphery and getting agitated all over again. “And you will tell them nothing-,”
“Relax, relax.” He cajoles. Gojo's laughter hangs heavy in the air, stinging like a mosquito bite. You hold his gaze steady, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing you crack.
"Fine," he finally says, a playful glint still lingering in his amber eyes. "Truce it is. For now."
Gojo studies you for a moment, raking you in from head to toe as though trying to commit you to memory. You, arms crossed, hip cocked to one side, avoiding his gaze and flushed with irritation as you try to make a quick and dry escape. He wishes he could somehow reach inside your chest and pull on the loose thread he knows will unravel you.
Instead, he rises with a flourish, the movement sending a tremor through the ground beneath your bench. Having stolen your intention to leave first for the sake of having the last word, you watch him saunter back towards the building, as quietly as he came for someone so lanky, hands shoved casually into his pockets. Before he crosses the threshold, he says your name again, and you hate the way it still sounds perfect coming from his lips.
“It’s good to see you again.”
As he disappears through the doorway, a sliver of relief washes over you, leaving a cold dread in its wake. You make sure he’s gone for good before you pick up the cigarette again and snatch the price tag off of your dress.
The name cards look back mockingly at you from the dining table, your name typed in a dainty serif script and printed on cardstock too expensive to burst into flames from your glare alone. On the table is a matching one, delicately placed across from the one person you’ve tried your best to avoid all night. Seated at the head of the table with the love of her life, Utahime pointedly avoids your pleading looks, while you do the same to the giant man squeezed between two of Shoko’s aunts in front of you, pouting just as poorly.
The guests who aren’t a part of his usual entourage (his assistant and PR manager stand stiffly off to the side of the room, as though trying to blend into the wallpaper) are torn between overtly fawning over the new couple and not-so-covertly fawning over the basketball player. Gojo appears all too comfortable appeasing Utahime’s young cousins between heartfelt toasts given by closer friends and family. They gush at the slightest flex of this man’s biceps and find a little too much amusement in his jokes, much to the bride’s chagrin. You resist the urge to gag while you eat.
Yet as he works the crowd with his little sideshow, he still finds ways to coax your attention back to him whenever it wanders off too long for his liking. Laughing a little too loud. Accidentally kicking your shin under the table. Accidentally scooting forward too abruptly, shoving the surface so that it presses into your ribs, causing you to sputter into your drink. All done with that teasing, unapologetic smile playing on his lips.
Drinking on an empty stomach hasn’t served you well tonight, yet under the weight of Gojo’s constant attention, you grasp your fork in one hand and another wine glass in the other like a lifeline.
Dinner goes by smoothly, for the most part.
You down the rest of your wine with a grimace, the sweetness doing little to quell the rising tide of nausea threatening to erupt. The world feels pleasantly fuzzy around the edges, but the sharp awareness of Gojo's presence across the table cuts through the haze like a spotlight.
His amusement has morphed into something closer to concern, a flicker in his cerulean eyes that you can't quite decipher from behind the dimness of his shades. You clench the wine glass a little tighter, the condensation slick against your palm.
Suddenly, a wave of dizziness washes over you, accompanied by a horrifying pressure in your bladder. The three glasses of wine you've downed on an empty stomach are starting to make their unwelcome presence known.
Panic claws at your throat. There's no way you can make it through the endless stream of toasts and speeches with this bladder situation. You shoot a desperate glance around the table, hoping for a discreet escape route.
Utahime, bless her oblivious soul, is busy clinking champagne flutes with the Shoko’s parents. Shoko, on the other hand, seems to have noticed your distress. She raises an eyebrow in your direction, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. You mouth a silent plea for help, hoping it doesn't translate to "hold my hair" territory.
Shoko, ever the pragmatist, simply nods and subtly gestures towards the back of the room. Relief floods your system, momentarily pushing the pressure in your bladder to the background. You manage a weak smile of thanks in Shoko's direction before excusing yourself from the table.
"Just need some fresh air," you mumble to Gojo, his presence looming large across the expanse of the table. He raises an eyebrow but thankfully doesn't press the issue. An uncle swoops in before he can address you, eager to grill him on the plays made in his most recent game, on the odds of his team winning the next.
Clutching your stomach, you weave through the maze of tables, the polite murmurs of the guests a distant hum in your ears. The borrowed dress whispers its disapproval with every movement you make. You finally reach the back of the room, a secluded hallway leading to what you hope are the restrooms.
As you stumble towards your salvation, the world tilts precariously on its axis. You grab onto the nearest wall for support, willing the dizziness to subside.
Suddenly, a strong hand shoots out and steadies your arm. You look up to find Gojo standing there. Worry looks foreign etched onto his usually carefree face.
"Are you alright?" His voice is surprisingly gentle, devoid of its usual teasing lilt.
You open your mouth to retort, but all that comes out is a weak groan. The pressure is unbearable now, threatening to become a full-blown disaster.
"Bathroom?" Gojo asks, already guiding you down the hallway with surprising ease.
You nod mutely, following him with the grace of a newborn giraffe.
"Second door on the left," he mutters, his voice a low murmur close to your ear. He pushes open the door and ushers you inside before you can even react.
You stumble into the cool, brightly lit restroom, practically falling onto the nearest stall. But when you turn to close and lock the door, Gojo’s hand is already there, stopping you mid-way.
“Gojo-san,” you startle as he pushes his way into the cramped stall. You back away in a clumsy attempt to make room for yourself, only to nearly fall into the toilet basin when the back of your knees hit the lid. “Gojo, wait -,”
"You know," he says, amusement creeping back into his tone, as he looms over you. You hear rather than see the lock click in place behind him. "There were simpler ways to get me alone."
At this point, your legs are squeezed together with little hope of alleviating the rising pressure in your lower stomach. You want to strangle him. But given your current state, a withering glare is the best you can muster.
"Get out," you croak, collapsing onto the closed toilet seat. He tuts like a disappointed parent as you groan and fend off his growing proximity with weak swats of your arms.
He chuckles softly. "Take your time. We can wait here when you come out."
"We?" you echo, surprised. Mortified. The ringing in your ears returns, in full force.
"Yeah," comes his breezy reply. "Remember, professional colleagues and all that? Besides, wouldn't want you to collapse on your way back to the table, now would we?"
“Gojo-,”
He sucks his teeth. “C’mon, babe, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before. You saying I lost pissing privileges?”
“Gojo, I’m being serious.”
“So am I,” a slick look of satisfaction crosses his face when he notices you finally drop the formal title, one more barrier of familiarity extinguished. “Now piss.”
All at once, the frustration and anxiety that had been brewing all night wells up inside you at the height of your duress. You launch at him with what little movement you can afford, but Gojo is faster. He’s quick to pin you against the stall, one arm braced across your shoulders, the other splayed against your lower abdomen. Threatening to press right on the growing balloon of pressure that is your bladder. You immediately wrench back in fear. From his vantage point, Gojo admires the way the wine flush that once populated your cheeks now spreads down past your neckline.
“Do I have your attention now?”

"What the fuck…" she says, and you sit up on the floor, watching the blackened sheets of skin slide off your arms, revealing fresh, bloody skin underneath, glistening with a thick, viscous fluid. The ruined, discarded sheds of skin start to shrivel up right before your eyes, coiling tight atop the carpet until it dissolves into nothing but ash. "What the fuck are you?" Clear whispers. You look up at her, licking your lips. "I'm a vampire," you say, and then you laugh. There's no way to say it without sounding ridiculous.
In Blood Choke, you play as a reawakened vampire, with no memory of who you are or what you did to result in your entombment. Fumble your way through your first few days after waking up in a strange, overwhelming future-- meet new friends and reunite with an old flame.
Navigate this new world and try to piece your past back together before it can catch up to you-- and decide your future, before it's too late.
