Sometimes you gotta start posting and creating and an audience will come later, it can be hard at first, but don't give up!
Meanwhile, I gotta say I'm obsessed with your creatures, please tell me more about the story! Is it set in a different world, in the future/past, a different dimension?
Yea, thank you. Can't count my worth on reactions. Brrrrrrr
This is a really good question and it's horrible I never actually explained this. It should probably be a pinned post.
In a simple way - the world and story is based on classical fantasy but with the "logicalize" effect. There are dragons, wizards, gods, different races (most races taking places of classical fantasy races). You should recognize most of the concepts but they should feel well uuh- different. For one, (almost) every race is from a different taxonomical kingdom/phylum. The main story I have in mind would be of a guy visiting different regions, showing more of the world and dealing with some personal stuff. However I wont go into more story detail for now.
The world a complicated way - Well the world is a planet not related to Earth in any way and unlikely in the same universe as it has magic/unexplained phenomena.
It's thought that the planet started off like Earth - land and ocean creation. The difference being the appearance of Designers. Those would root on different spots of the planet and start affecting their portion of land, locking it from other designers. This created multiple locked ecosystems with extreme unsular biogeography.
The designers are thought to be organisms that would fight for territory and dominance like animals but since they are motionless they use their ability to control space and time, making the planet their body and universe their habitat. Their behavior being instinctive, not thought formed. (they are also the source of magic)
Some evidence also suggests that with the inteligence of the designer's controlled species the designer's abilities/awareness would grow, making it evolve with the ecosystem. Many historical events support the hypothesis.
This is likely the reason why all the designers were reaching or reached sentience in their respective regions.
Tumblr media
Image only shows sentient species of two designers
Before the current time (current time being a difficult combination of medieval times and quick rise in technology and science) the regions got "open" and actual designer war began. However, to the people this was just the usual taking over countries, growing kingdoms and such (except the enemies were often "aliens"). It was a multithousand year process of course.
It got complicated and in the last few thousand years two designers are dead and now people experience big culture mixing, less wars (obviously those still happen), more progress, trading, science and mutual hate for designers.
It's not even 10 years since the biggest elven kingdom began with free public education, big deal.
A Uniima c engineer made a metal plane (it flies shorter than 50 meters and max 3 meters from the ground).
And magic awakening was greatly improved by sterilizing the needles!
(Magical abilities are an uncommon mutation that started appearing in around 6th century. To get it artificially, a god's blood is injected in a vein -or in the somatosensory cortex for better results.)
Talked a lot but probably missed all points, woosh

Continuing my cat race post....
Well, @acredb, pinged bcs you wanted to see that.
Info under cut
The cat people of Kepler-452b
The harsh unforgivingly cold steppes of Kepler-452b actually gave birth to many species through natural selection and genetic differentiation. What perhaps stands out the most is the fact that life there is very similar to what was on Earth, albeit avoiding some of the great dyings.
We have the Xenoraptors, little feathered hyperpredators, we have the Titaneosaurus, the large gentle giants, and we have a lot more, but in the steppe biome, something that stood out was the unique evolutionary tale of the Saber-teethed Cat People, who name themselves as Mezherler.
First, off to remember that the xeno-dinosaurs in that case cannot withstand the lowered temperatures, and some of the species begun to die out as a result, giving place to Mammals who were once small and nimble creatures.
In such cases, there's a very unique animal whose evolution mirrored our own, proving there might be similar cases in the vast space.
Introducing Xenotherium Homosmilus, which were a genus of sabertoothed mammals, which look and mirror the behaviour of terrestrial big cats, especially the extinct Homotherium Latidens. Due to evolutionary pressure, the other sabertoothed cats either didn't make it, or turned into Etsmilus Horribilis, aka, the Sabertoothed Alien Cat.
Xenotherium Homosmilus had the most strangest adaptations in their organism. Long front paws and large shoulders, which made them look similar to hyenas. The Xenotherium had a long skull with a Crista Saggitalis, but it's visual cortex was well developed.
Xenotherium were primarily a pursuit predator which chased their prey, the Steppesingers (Stegosaurid Pardalis) or juveniles, however, in times where prey was scarce they ate Steppeflowers (similar to terrestial tulips) and berries.
A genetic mutation happened in the lineage, with a significant enlargement of polydactyl mutations and the broadening of the brain cavity. Those smart cats also opted for vertical positions during hunts and watching for the safety of the pride. In turn, their evolution changed their brain cavities, paw bones and leg bones, therefore becoming Xenoeotherium Erectus, or Upright Cat. These creatures were known to be apex predators, using stone tools with their paws to help in hunt or self defense, and a possible fire discovery, which cemented them as the flag-bearers of evolution. More millions of years pass, the brain cavity gets enlarged, and the bone structure changes, so that an upright position of the body is now a default one, and the polydactyly which was once a mutation is now a thumb, to grab, to investigate the world around them. Not only that, but despite their fangs, they developed a rudimentary language and began showing sparks of culture. Blood and ochre being their paint, they scratched their stories on the walls. They adapted for a nomadic lifestyle, despite all of that, some archaic settlements can be still found (and densely populated). It's no longer a simple cat. We call them Therihomo Cogitus, aka, the Hominid-Beast who Thinked.
Let's skip for more years, shall we?...
We have the Mezherler. Scientific name - Therihomo Cogitus Cogitus. Large humanoids that may resemble a sabertoothed cat. An evolutionary trait not removed was their digitigradeness which made their hind pawpads slightly longer, and their hands have digits to create beautiful things. They speak a language that no one can understand, the Tarr'cha yet they can speak international galactic languages.
And despite their appearances and history of being warriors and nomads, they're poetic and intelligent. Blessing the three moons in their poems, describing local fauna, and not only that, their people are warm and welcoming towards humans, seeing a foreign species from "the stars" as a new friend.
But never mess with Mezherler. Their warriors are imposing for a reason.
Biological males are usually tall, 2-3m (shorter registered), and have manes and larger fangs. Biological females are usually shorter, 1.69-1.80m tall yet giant units have been recorded, they have manes and fangs.

X-Men: The Final Solu--er, Last Stand
[One of my fav reviews I read way back in the elder days of blogs...that is, June 1, 2006. I’ve realized that some of the formative pieces of reviews I read when a much more callow youth are disappearing or already disappeared from the internet, so I’ve decided to start saving them on here for my own memory. This critique of X-Men 3: The Last Stand actually touches on a lot of ongoing issues with the superhero film and comic as a genre. Bionic Octopus was last updated July 18, 2006.]
GIANT SPOILER WARNING: I am about to reveal or refer indiscreetly to practically everything important that happens in 'X-Men III'. If you wish (though I don't advise it) to save yourself for the cortex-searing cocktail of geek disillusion and drop-jawed political aghastness that is this cinematic artifact, run away now. Also, much detail is required for analysis purposes, so this is fucking long. Don't say I didn't warn you. Right. First let me preface by saying that I fucking love X-Men. I was ridiculously excited to see this film. Excited unto sitting through the ubiquitous trailers and TV ads with my eyes squeezed shut and my ears finger-stoppered chanting lalalalalalalalala, to the undoubted joy of my neighboring movie-goers, so as to escape the slightest hint of spoilage. And of course I secretly knew it would be disappointing, as any 3rd epigone in a beloved franchise will inevitably be. (Beyond 3, I know better than to shell out even two hours of Sunday afternoon cable-watching, let alone actual coin.) What I didn't know was that it would be, hands down, the most overtly, unapologetically reactionary piece of 'entertainment' I can remember seeing. 'X-III', or as I like to call it, 'Kapos Without a Cause', is effectively a manifesto for the implosive capitulation of liberal political ethics into its own hollow, convictionless, security-craving heart. It is the Democrat Police-State Summer Blockbuster. [Interlude: let me now, against the very slight risk of being blindsided later, allow for the possibility that this is in fact a shockingly sophisticated piece of left-political critique in deep, deep, DEEP cover. There are actually several things about the film that make me think this is a genuine possibility, but ultimately we have to engage with the argument the film appears to make and authorial intent be damned. And as it plays on the screen, this is a film about the heroism of kapos. But just in case it comes out that Brett Ratner is actually a savage Swiftian cryptoTrot for our time, let it be known that I thought of that.] The premise: post the thwarted mutanticidal ambitions of William Stryker in X2, (American) humans and mutants are at last coexisting in apparent harmony, complete with (the freakishly appropriately-cast) Kelsey Grammer as a big blue furry Secretary for Mutant Affairs in the Presidential Cabinet. But of course all is not durable serenity: a pharmaceutical company has developed a 'cure' for mutants, copied from the DNA of a little mutant boy called Leech. (They keep him shaven-headed and white-clad in a sealed room with a very big television, as one will do. He seems limply ok with this plan, though no one on either side ever appears to ask him.) Cue queer-style identity politics: many see the 'cure' (quite correctly) as an attempt to pathologize their mutant identity as a disease, while others queue up to get their normal-shots (including Rogue, whose sole, and blessedly scant, function in the film is to enact an odd little embedded High School Misfit narrative: her mutation means she can't touch her boyfriend, which granted does suck, and she miserably suspects him of running around with another girl. In the time-honored self-hating-misfit move, she runs off secretly to get fixed, and we confidently expect that at the last minute she will learn to Love Herself and Value Her Special Difference, and not get cured after all. Hold that thought). Protests, factions, confusion. Isn't it awful? What to do? Then Magneto shows up to organize a real resistance, and the fascist fun begins. It quickly emerges that the 'voluntary' cure has already been weaponized by the government (poor Mystique is shot with it, and is turned speedily and permanently into a pink, naked and oddly chunkier Rebecca Romijn; NB: head-to-toe teal apparently slimming). By way of justification, the supposedly mutant-friendly President tells outraged Mutant Affairs Secretary Beast that 'I worry how democracy survives when a man can move cities with his mind.' Apparently in this model democracy survives by forcibly genetically bleaching that man, along with any other inconveniently-abled citizens. Beast has a hissy fit, denounces the weaponized cure, and walks out on the government to join his X-friends at Xavier's School, where they all stand around looking Very Concerned about how awful it is, consider packing it all in and then boldly decide to, er, continue holing up in their posh private school. This is the bold plan, mind you. Magneto meanwhile has been busily gathering a throng of radical followers--naturally pierced, dyed, gender-ambiguous and gothed-up to a man-woman--and they all convene in a forest encampment that evokes, surely non-accidentally, Robin Hood. Magneto delivers an address rousing the Brotherhood to fight the 'cure', and rather desultorily gesturing toward some kind of vague mutant-supremacy platform. (This is one of a small handful of moments thrown in to present him as an eville, heartless tyrant-presumptive; the problem being that they're so lazily conceived that they're completely inconsistent with his character and thus completely unconvincing. The sloppiest, and nastiest, of these is when devoted henchmina Mystique, 'cured' and lying naked and helpless on the floor, looks up plaintively and says, 'Eric...?', to which Magneto icily replies, 'You're no longer one of us', turns and leaves her there. This makes exactly no sense in the context of his character, which has been notable for its loyalty, even to King Kapo Xavier. A clumsy smear-job.) Meanmeanwhile, having died so promisingly in the end of X2, Jean Grey has come back as the unpromisingly dyed, issuetastic Phoenix and, rather redeemingly, appears right off to have iced Cyclops, her old lover. Dr. Xavier supplies the charming back-story of how, when Jean was but a wee mutantette, she was like totally the Most Powerful Mutant Ever, and for reasons unspecified (but in fact embodied in the entire program of the film) we couldn't have that, so he whisked her off to his school and handily created a series of blocks inside her mind. This caused her to develop a split personality and bury all her impulses of joy, desire, anger and power in the id-persona Phoenix, leaving the sensationally insipid control-shell Jean Grey to struggle pathetically at shifting pennies with her mind-fragment (not to mention at achieving some tepid flicker of chemistry with ultraweenie Cyclops). Man just out and says all this, as if he'd committed a perfectly understandable, justifiable intervention, instead of, oh, criminal therapeutic child abuse. Now of course the hellcat's out of the bag, and she is one supremely fucked-off megamutant. She explodes Xavier, which to be honest he pretty much deserves, then schleps conflictily off with Magneto (who btw tried to stop her killing Xavier; heartless and disloyal my ass) to Sherwood Base Camp (stopping on the way to pick up some curiously ill-fitting gothwear). Now Magneto and his posse have The Ultimate Weapon. But ahhhhh, can they control her? This is the last point at which the movie bothers to make any kind of narrative logical sense. Wolverine shows up to try to get Phoenix/Jean (Jeanix?) back, and on the way kills an absolute fuckload of other mutants in Magneto's camp, basically just cuz. (Wolverine's body count in these films has always dwarfed the entire rest of the cast's combined, but this is the first time we see him killing almost exclusively other mutants. I don't believe this is the slightest bit accidental. By the end he will become the prime motivator of the X-Men going out deliberately to kill untold other mutants in order to save [actively mutanticidal] humans--the precise inversion of his role in X2, and the sad resolution of the major ongoing storyline across all three films: the taming/reclaiming of Wolverine into a tool of the state that, in its most pathological [but still broadly sanctioned] incarnation, created him. Poor Wolverine; he was better than this. And to add insult to injury, they present his domestication as if it meant he's finally grown up.) Jeanix just sort of looks at him for a bit, and then Magneto hucks him magnetically off into the forest far far away, so he mopes blowdriedly back to the school. Magneto broadcasts a public service announcement on Fox News telling the humans to stay out of the Brotherhood's way and don't fuck with their mission, or prepare to get squished. That irritating fire-boy from X2 (now abruptly risen to #1 Magneto henchman; man does go through minions) blows up the pharm company's office building, and then they all set off to uproot the Golden Gate Bridge so they can take it to Alcatraz Island, where the labs and the cure-mutant are kept in ostentatiously remarked-upon impregnability. (Unclear to me why they couldn't simply have taken some kind of boat to Alcatraz, much as I did myself some years ago for the rather tedious prison tour.) All in all, we are rather generously treated to the spectacle of Resistance Going Too Far. As soon as we use violence, you know, They Have Won™. Thing is, though, nobody actually ever does argue that Magneto's position is in any way incorrect, either factually or morally. We're simply strenuously informed that he is being not at all nice about it. Meanwhile, back at the plush, leafy Westchester X-ranch, the (mysteriously decimated; could they not afford scale for more than 6 speaking X-Actors?) gang are gearing up for war. Not against the government that is openly preparing to retro-eugenically bleach them. No suh. Rather, they get their war on and go jetting off in defense of the forces of genetic fascism, seemingly because Magneto's lot are preparing to inflict some property damage and kidnap Cure-boy. Very Important Note: at no point do the (clean-cut and J-Crew-clad) X-Men ever actually say out loud why it is that they must go out to oppose Magneto's (gothy-punky) resistance. There is no 'But if he succeeds in doing Thing N, the world will end/humanity will be wiped out/mutanity will be wiped out/puppies everywhere will die horrible deaths! Quick, to the X-Jet!' In fact, quite the reverse. All that's happening is that the resistance is going to fuck up a factory, to stop production of the eugenic weapon that does in fact threaten to wipe out all mutants, including the X-Men. And yet without a second thought the latter are off to oppose the saving! At Wolverine's urging they stand, literally six of them heroically Holding The Line, to protect hundreds of human soldiers, who are at that very moment in the process of firing cure-weapons at their fellow mutants, from being overrun by Magneto's insurrectionary Brotherhood. Because here's the thing: it's not that the Brotherhood's opposition to the cure is aberrant; we got some terribly soul-sista-stirring lines from Storm earlier on about how awful and unacceptable the cure is. It's quite simply that they're doing it wrong. And when it comes down to a (really rather minor) crunch, the X-Men unhesitatingly lock and load on the side of Order, even when it means killing hordes of their own fellows to serve an authority that effectively wants to kill them all. What does that make the X-Men? It makes them kapos. This is rendered absolutely clear in the final boss-battle with Magneto, who, having succinctly identified them as 'traitors to their own kind', is handily kicking their asses by flinging burning cars at them from the bridge. In their huddled bunker, Wolverine looks down and sees a little clutch of cure-cartridges fallen from one of the soldiers' magazine. He and furry blue quisling Beast exchange a dawning, manly, determined look, a look in which the two give each other implicit permission to abandon any last tatters of independent moral compunction: Beast to betray his own earlier principled stand against that very weapon, and Wolverine his very self, constructed in resistance against the genocidally normative forces that built both his skeleton and the cure-weapon. And so they make a sneaky little plan, and they go out and defeat Magneto by stabbing him from behind with that handful of cure-darts. They use the enemy's anti-mutant weapon to kill the mutant Magneto, reducing him to the helpless, unwilling human Eric Lensherr. (The Eric Lensherr who, as all three films repeatedly emphasize, was not only a victim of Nazi genocide, but whose mutantness opened the whole trilogy in that searing scene that constructs the boy Eric's suddenly-emerging mutant identity as a desperate, somatic act of resistance against that genocide--an act that has its fleeting moment of efficacy before he is overcome and beaten down by the agents of fascism. These films will not let us forget that central fact of Magneto's identity. This is actually Thing #1 that makes me wonder whether something might be Going On with this film. The interplay between Magneto's mode of defeat and his so-emphasized Survivor identity is so overt and telling that, if it isn't meant as some kind of inversion, those responsible are astoundingly thick. I'm just saying.) I can scarcely think of a scene more chilling in a film, ever. That's really the climax, or I should say the nadir, of the film. That's the money shot, the pragmatic payload of 'X-III': real heroes will stick at nothing, will collaborate in the basest atrocity, to fulfil their empty, mechanical, ineluctable, fratricidal obeisance to Order. For fuck's sake, no one even called and asked the X-Men to go stop Magneto. There was no actual content to their impulse, stated or implicit. They just upped and did it, because that's what they're for. Does any of that start to sound familiar at all? Does it sound like an epically-enhanced depiction of a political party so abased before the imperative of Order that, unasked, it will savagely censure its own members rather than allow 'uncivil' opposition to the party it faintly purports to oppose? That it will freely deploy the enemy's ideological weapons of 'patriotism' against its own, rather than let them question the extinguishing of individual liberty in the name of Order? That it will volunteer legislation designed to out-draconian the demonic fever-dreams of the party in power, so that if it must attack that party it can do so on the grounds that the governing party is not sufficiently attending to the maintenance of Order? That is the yawning moral vacuum, contentless yet bizarrely active, of the Democrat-liberal political existence, and it is not merely justified but celebrated in this film. The denouement is stunningly reactionary: status quo restored with a vengeance; well-behaved mutants returned to nice, quiet, separate-but-equal 'coexistence' in their lovely green island of mutants-only privilege [cough-Israel-cough]; nasty radical mutants violently killed or 'cured' or both; 1-2-3 manicured graves in the garden of the Xavier School, sedate monuments to those who fell in sacrifice to almighty Order (no graves for the scores of rebel mutants killed, most of them by Wolverine, the rest by the effects of being forcibly 'cured' while, say, clinging mutantly to the underside of a hundred-foot tower); and most jaw-dropping of all, Capo di Tutti Kapi Beast rewarded with, I shit you not, the post of Ambassador to the UN. (That's Thing #2 in my Something's Up Suspicions List: in the era of John Bolton, could anyone posit that reward with a straight face?) (Thing #3, fwiw, is the extremely odd resolution of the Rogue subplot: she goes through with it. When she comes back to the school, we're quite obviously set up to expect that she's had the requisite change of heart and learned to love herself just as she is. And yet she just fucking hasn't. She's just gone and got normalized, in defiance of every teen film ever, and it's quite obvious from the unenthusiastic finger-twine she gets from Bobby that she is so not going to get the boy. What is that about? It's about something, clearly. This film's desperate, rationality-trumping need to stamp out desire in all its forms is the subject for a whole ‘nother essay. Most obviously: in Boss-Battle 2, when Phoenix has gone all glowy and is threatening to bust up everything and everyone, why exactly is it necessary for Wolverine to kill her, when they have conveniently on hand the little cure-boy whose precise power is to deactivate other mutants? Because she is embodied desire, and you'll recall that we couldn't have that. It must be slaughtered in sacrifice. And poor Wolverine has to do it, to seal his self-surrender. And, most horribly, Jean has to recognize and welcome that necessity in the moment of her death, and forgive him with her eyes. A thousand, million, billion times ew.) This film is an absolute paean to jackbooted collaborationism. One is accustomed to science fiction that critiques fascism from the liberal (and harder) left, as well as that which celebrates it from the right, and that which glares dyspeptically at both from the 'apolitical' outside. The startling, if dubious, innovation of 'X-III' is in presenting a glorious vision of the soi-disant left heroically facilitating the ends of fascism. A document for our times, indeed.

Meet my newest Crash Bandicoot OC.
Name: Judith Mouse
Species: Mutated Field Mouse
Gender: Female
Mutated by: Dr. Nefarious Tropy
Voiced by Luci Christian *Rico from Gunslinger Girl*
https://youtu.be/a4UiTQispiI?t=20
Judith is an orphaned Field Mouse child was one of the many Mutants mutated by Dr. N. Tropy that were locked up in one of the abandoned facilities of the Cortex Commandos as his failed attempt to have an army of them as they rejected him for as they refused to be evil, while some others came to work for Nitrus Brio and N. Gin *Something that happened one year before Crash Twinsanity events*, Crash, Coco, and Crunch had freed the many mutants that were against N. Tropy, and Judith was one of them, yet she was too quiet to be noticed and left on her own. She never had friends either.
One year later, after scavenging for food and trying to survive by herself, Judith was taken in by Crooncrool Crumb when she trespassed into his haunted mansion. However, due to the fact Mr. Crumb is very miserly, cruel, friendless, and never intended to have friends, he is very cruel towards her as she lived with him for 3 years.
One day, Crash Bandicoot and his friends, as well as the Cortex Commando Mutants entered Viscount Devil's Treasure Haunt competition to find the mysterious indigo colored crystal, in which secretly he wants for himself as it contains great power, it was the same crystal Mr. Crumb was also going after because he's greedy for treasures.
During the treasure hunt, Judith would befriend Brok the InvestiGator, from another dimension, whose lost memories of Crash and Spyro's dimensions have taken on a sprit form while also having his memories from his dimension intact that were copied over from his true self after he traveled back in time combined with a few other phenomenons, and then meeting Nozomi, Crash, and their friends, becoming her first friends.
She would later leave Mr. Crumb forever and help her new friends and the Cortex Commandos find that crystal before he and the Viscount do after learning it was all the latter's set up.
After Crash stops Mr. Crumb, Brok came in contact with the crystal, turning his spirit form into a physical form, yet he still isn't the true Brok himself, the crystal itself is then rendered powerless.
Judith was then taken to the Refuge Village for Mutants where Brok and Nozomi promised to take care of her, as she gets new clothes from Nozomi that she made herself while she acts as a sister figure towards her as Brok wants to make up for his past mistakes for not being there for Graff for family matters, so he acts as a father figure towards Judith, in which she wants to be a detective when she grows up, all while Brok hopes to see Graff again one day.
=
Judith is physically two years younger than Bumpy Woylie.
She really loves to eat cheese.
Occasionally, Vivi Otter would babysit her.
=
Judith was inspired by such child characters like 9 year old Rin on Inuyasha *For survival skills*, Eri from My Hero Academia *Having a similar rough past like being abused by their past guardians that are antagonists, but later live in facilities that offer them better lives*, Anne-Marie from All Dogs Go to Heaven, 7 year old Fievel Mousekewitz and 8 year old Tanya Mousekewitz on An American Tail *Design influences*, Olivia Flaversham from Disney's the Great Mouse Detective, and Penny from Disney's the Rescuers, thus how Nicole would have been in DIC's second Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon of the same name AKA SatAM's lost Third Season in her true form and after having her true form restored.
Judith's meeting with Mr. Crumb and her relationship with him was inspired by how Gatomon from the 1999 Continuity of Digimon Adventure met Myotismon as Salamon and how she suffered abuse and despair from those days because of him, only without corrupting the cutie moments.
She was even named after the late Judith Barsi, a child actress who did voice work for Don Bluth films like Ducky in The Land Before Time and Anne-Marie in All Dogs Go to Heaven, she had a rough life and at age 10 had hers and her mother's lives taken from them by her own monster of an abusive father, which happened three years before I was born.

DEPRESSION
Depression
In depression, there are numerous perspectives and/or theories on how it happens in the human brain. There are psychological theories, sociological theories, but I will be referring to the biopharmacological perspective, which is considered the orthomolecular perpective, or the study of who the solids and liquids that we take in through consumption, get broken down, and re- assembled into various proteins and substances that are utilized by our hearts, brains, and all of the organs in the human body. There are 5 theories of depression from an orthomolecular perspective, and they are the following:
Stress theory of depression
Myelination theory of depression
GABA/Glutamate theory of depression
Catecholamine theory of depression
Immune system theory of depression
Stress depletes zinc in the body, whether it is inflammatory, oxidative, or emotional stress.  Zinc is used up to stabilize processes affected by the various types of stress incurred by the body and brain.
Myelination processes in the brain need zinc for stability as it related to other bio available metals that the body and brain needs.  When zinc is deficient in the brain, copper starts being released toxically, an begins to cause atrophy in the hippocampal’s mossy fiber neurons. Thus, zinc is incredibly important for the integrity of our myelination processes in the brain.
GABA, or gamma amino butyric acid and glutamate receptors in the brain and spinal chord are the most prevalent amino acid neurotransmitters in the brain and body.  They are located on NMDA receptors throughout the brain and these NMDA receptors have zinc gates on them, in which zinc regulates the release or suppression of these amino acid neurotransmitters, depending upon what the body and/or brain needs in any one given instance. These zinc gates are also located in all of our fear circuits, such as the amygdale, hippocampus, thalamus, hypothalamus, temporal lobe and prefrontal cortex.
Catecholamines are Serotonin, Norpinephrine, Epinephrine, and Dopamine, and these are the 2nd most prolific neurotransmitters through our brain and spinal chords.  When zinc is deficient, Norepinephrine and Serotonin is decreased in the body and brain as it provides modulation and support in a variety of catecholamine pathways.
Our immune systems must have zinc as it essential in the stimulation of neutrophils, macrophages, B Lymphocytes, and killer T cells in our immune system response.  Zinc is also critical for the integrity of our transcription process of DNA to RNA to DNA, and its deficiency can result in deformities, and mutations.
We must put ZINC on the forefront of our conversations about depression, if we are ever going to understand it. Thanks for reading my narrative on depression.

Independent, semi-selective RP blog for Cosmo the Spacedogーman's best friend, Guardian of the Galaxy, and all-around good dog.
Headcanons and inspiration taken from games, films, and comics, with a lot of historical events drawn upon for Cosmo's backstory. His speech will be a mash-up of the first person from the films and the third person he always uses in the comics with regards to how he refers to himself.
This is a sideblog to @ensnchekov, so follows will come from there unless they've changed how sideblogs work, idk. Blog activity will be sporadic and secondary to Pavel, my main muse. All manner of crossover welcome. Written by Red, 30+, here to spread the love for the galaxy's best dog.
Brief rules under the cut.
Mun is thirty plus, so this is a 21+ blog due to the large age gap.
Cosmo is extremely powerful and very open with his psionic abilities. They are always active and he often uses them without thinking to probe easy to read surface level thoughts despite knowing that this can be invasive/uncomfortable for many people. I'll always discuss things with you before letting Cosmo use his abilities and even for just the basic mind-reading, I'll make sure you're comfortable with that.
I'll throw Cosmo anywhere. The Continuum Cortex gives him access to anywhere, anywhen, so crossovers are never an issue and always welcomed.
I am OC/canon friendly, I only ask you have a rules page, brief bio, and your age on your blog somewhere.
Cosmo is a dog. He always was a dog, always will be a dog, was never human and does not want to be. Despite his hyper-intelligence resulting from his mutation, he still exhibits dog behaviour, has dog instincts that he follows, all that. He likes to be pet, he likes treats, he likes to play fetch, he's fiercely loyal, so on and so forth. I'm not going to cut that out.
That being said, shipping is a no-go on this blog. It's just not going to happen. Cosmo can think people are very attractive (he's not blind) and make comments as such, but nothing is ever going to come of it.
Typical roleplay etiquette applies. Don't be a dick. Don't come at me with anon hate, don't write my character for me, and please show similar enthusiasm with your replies. Give me something to work with, that's all I ask. I don't want to be the only one trying to move a thread along.

3, 6, 8 for the crucial muse development questions
crucial muse development questions.   send a number in my inbox to find out more about my character as a person  ( because often, the most important things about character development have nothing to do with their shoe size or netflix queue ). 3. What was the worst thing in your character’s life?
Tumblr media
{💣}—; "The worst thing in my life? That is, a very sensitive subject anon. I will spare the rather gruesome details because it is not something, I like to delve into. But I like many other animals were the subject of experimentation, much of which were torturous and cruel."
Roo let out a dragged sigh, adjusting his monocle while balancing on one leg as he began to think about some of the things he remembered while being subjected to this. "I most certainly never asked to be used as what amounts to a lab rat all due to the whims of my creator, he sought to make an army of mutated, obedient animal soldiers to take his every command in order to take over the world." Only after pursuing intense procedures was he able to regain his sanity, unless he is having an episode. 6. What is your character reluctant to tell people?
Roo is hesitant to tell about more direct details about what happened to him in Cortex's lab while undergoing the experiments that were performed on him, where he was the experiment himself.
Tumblr media
{💣}—; "I am reluctant to speak of the exact details of what occurred in Cortex's lab during my creation, my cognitive functions increased early on and became more akin to what you see now." There was a lot more beyond the two obvious things, he'd skimmed over some of it in his novel where he spoke about some of his experiences and what rapid evolution means and the consequences.
"But in the end I had a mental break and that's where my insanity stems from, but it was not so simple as field tests, the Evolvo Ray and the Cortex Vortex there was more that I would not speak of. Understand this, some of what I experienced are things I would not wish on anyone." 8. How many friends does your character have?
Roo has a handful of friends, such as Dingodile or the Komodo Brothers, Joe and Moe. He got to know Dingodile later on but he finds his company pleasant despite his more out there attitude, but Roo worked directly with the Komodos while trying to assist Brio in stopping Cortex.
Tumblr media
{💣}—; "Komodo Joe and Moe come to mind as two of my friends, fellow mutants like myself who refused to work with Cortex. There have been times where we have worked together, one of those times under Dr. Brio." That was due to Brio turning on Cortex too and they were all supposed to stop Crash who had been tricked by Cortex into helping him retrieve power crystals. "I would also say Dingodile is another friend of mine, he's pleasant company."

Here's something that will never happen, but if it does, this is how I'd handle it.
A Remake of Crash Bash
The weird plot would be relatively the same, but better explained. For instance instead of just saying "the ancients would never allow it!" When Uka Uka goes in to attack, Aku Aku instead says "No brother! Our energies are too powerful in this realm, we may accidentally destroy the crystals and a chunk of the universe with them! Let us hold a contest to settle this..." Uka Uka agrees, and like before, he summons a team bigger than Aku Aku's, but then agrees to surrender some team members to balance things out... the thing is though, this version would have 8 characters on each side, meaning there are sixteen playable characters in all.
The Good Side
CRASH, COCO, TAWNA, & DINGODILE are the characters initially summoned by Aku Aku. Assuming this takes place after Crash 4 It's About Time, and Crunch hasn't been introduced yet, I think this is a solid team, especially since Dingo has retired from evil and actually gets along well with the bandicoots. But who does Aku chose to even out the group? I decided to give these four characters a reason, something Aku could sense to make the choice easier, as choosing someone who's usually an enemy is tricky when it comes to trust.
Koala Kong
This old foe hasn't faced crash in a long time, and quite frankly was enjoying his new life as a movie star before Uka Uka suddenly summoned him. Understandably he was frustrated, so Aku Aku chose him to be the muscle for the good side, with the promise he could return to Hollywood when the contest was over...
N. Brio
While thought to be dead after being taxidermied by Ripper roo, Brio was able to pull a Pheonix and was born again from that weird egg he laid while a flying creature. (The science is complicated, even he doesn't know). Brio's loyalty to Uka and Cortex is questionable at times, so he tends to join whatever side he feels like... since this was the case, Aku decided to chance it and bring him to the good side this time.
Fake Crash
Instead of being exclusive to Japan like he was in the original, the mysterious Fake Crash is playing for Aku's side. Aku doesn't know if he can trust him, but there was doubt from the evil side as well, so Aku decided to choose him.
And finally the crazy and more personal choice...
Nina Cortex
Honestly, I see Nina more as an anti hero than a villain, mostly due to her backstory. Think about it. She was a pretty normal and happy little girl who loved animals, but then Cortex decided he didn't like that, so he cut off her hands and replaced them with heavy robotic ones so she'd accidentally crush the animals she once loved to pet and cuddle... her introduction in Crash on the Run captures that aspect of her story perfectly. It's so messed up! Keeping that in mind, to me it would only make sense that Nina, evil or not, would absolutely grow to despise her uncle, possibly want to crush him with the hands he forced her to have... she may have wanted an excuse to fight against him, which Aku sensed. With a hatred of her uncle stronger than her disdain of the Bandicoots, Aku figures she would have no problems joining his team, allowing her a sample taste of revenge in exchange for helping prevent catastrophe.
The Bad Side
I won't go too much in detail here, but this is pretty much the characters I see as still loyal to Uka and Cortex, with the exception of N. Tropy, seeing as Tropy is his own villain.
Cortex, N. Gin, Pinstripe, Tiny, Rilla Roo, and Lab assistant as the returning classics. Tiny is described as being extremely loyal to Cortex, so it struck me as odd he was chosen to join the good side in the original, he even betrayed N. Brio in Crash 2 in favor of guarding Cortex's space station, which is why Cortex would take the time to decorate the boss room for him. Pinstripe is also quite loyal to Cortex, maybe not as much as Tiny, but Cortex still made him the C.E.O. of many important facilities, so he'd most likely want to maintain business with him.
But who fills in the last two spots? I kind of just realized Cortex's side is now at a disadvantage... so I'm going to do something a bit unorthodox for the last two members of the bad team. Snipe & Ratcicle from the titans games. Their lore being that Cortex has been working on some mutations of his own for once, and these two are the results. They are two of my favorite mutants, so why not give them a bit of spotlight?
This was just a dumb idea I had in my head... and I thought I'd share. Would this cast be worth playing as?

Shouldn’t all the infected in the hospital be bloaters? There’s a stalker down there I thought infection was based on time
Hey, anon. thanks for being patient on this one. I had to do a little bit (a lot more than I probably needed to) of research so I wasn’t talking entirely out my ass and actually had a reasonable if not plausible answer for you. (If someone who is knowledgeable about fungal infections and the spread of infections, that wants to correct me please do. This is me using knowledge limited to the game, and my limited brain power, to make sense of information that I went along with because you gave me a gun and a child to protect I don’t have time to think about why things are just that I need to keep her alive.)
Also, this turned into more than what you asked for because I cannot give a simple answer. *finger guns*
There are a few notes lying around the lower floors from FEDRA soldiers, saying blow this hospital up because there is no way to contain what’s happening. Most of the people brought into the hospital had turned into stage one infected before much of anything was done and then shoved into one place and ignored for a looon time, with terrifying results.
That nest the Rat King escaped from is made of dozens to hundreds of people, how utterly fucked is that?
However, FEDRA is a rat king of arrogance and failure, so they didn’t fuckin’ do any of that, instead funneling more soldiers, doctors, and general people into the hospital to take care of the problem where a fungus needs as many hosts as possible to spread. Go, FEDRA. You absolute big-brained kings.
So all the people who were shoved into the trauma center, the first wave of infected originally mutated into the Rat King and those that died became the nest. Sealed off in an area that is damp and full of medical supplies. The perfect environmental factors for extreme mutations and growth over time. Which is what the team at ND worked on to explain how infected change over time. In an interview with Playstation, Neil stated, "In the first game, there is all this documentation about the different stages [of the infection], now we have to justify why there are different stages. Why are there mutations of these things? Without getting into it here, there is something about the environment and how much time has passed that has allowed these mutations to occur."
They laid out the time for stages in the first game as such:
Stage One: host is infected and begins to turn within 2 days (where you are bit plays a part in how long it takes)
Stage Two: two weeks out the host’s face will be deformed as fungal growths break through the skin and begin to grow over their eyes. fucking with the hosts visual cortex.
Stage Three: surviving a year of being infected will leave the host with no sight and fungal plates will have formed over most of the face
Stage Four: this stage takes up to over a decade to reach which means the environment they’re in is conducive to keeping the fungus growing and alive (this is why there are few bloaters roaming out in the country side most infected die off in places with low populations)
Shamblers were infected that mutated due to Seattle weather before reaching the fourth stage, becoming an entirely new infected. (Something I personally would love to see more of, different environments affecting the mutations and how different areas in the world might see vastly different infected iirc the first game said about 60% of the world was seeing the out break at the start so that would be wicked cool to explore new places over the world)
If the host dies from the infection, we see those bodies erupting with growth, fused to walls and emitting spores in the hopes of infecting anything that passes through the spore cloud. Almost always in closed off spaces where there is little to no human interaction. Which is why humans need masks.
Comparatively, in the first game, a similar environment we stumble into is when we are in the sewers of Pittsburgh. The difference being, that space while closed off, it is still more open. Like the flooded hospital it is damp, and anyone stupid enough to try and make their way through that isn’t Joel will turn and mutate along the laid out stages of infected.
So why aren’t they all bloaters in the hospital?
As Abby when you make your way towards the Rat King, many of the infected are sealed off in medical chambers that could have potentially stalled or slowed out the process of growth for a time. And that is what I think is the key as to why there are still some variety in the hospital, not just time, but the environment itself. This includes human population and what the fungus has available to infect to survive. Many infected die before reaching the final stages due to lack human interaction. Which is why closed off spaces like the apartments have so many spores/growths everywhere. The very composition of the Rat King bloater stalker hybrid, is terrifying in the implication that the fungus will mutate and adapt in certain conditions to survive without any new hosts if given the right environmental factors.
The other areas of the ward, were still operated out of for an undisclosed time. No one dated any of their notes so it’s safe to assume it was under FEDRA’s control, until at least the WLF took over. Which seemed to be for a while, not as long as a QZ like Boston, maybe. But, long enough that our buddy Boris was able to lock most of the remaining Hillcrest community away in a garage where they weren’t exposed to the elements as much and mutate into what I’m 92.613% sure is the transitional stage between stages two and three. Which takes a few years. Otherwise those guys got fucked a few weeks before Ellie showed up but that’s unlikely.
Back to the hospital. We see fruited bodies all along the walls and on gurneys of hosts that didn’t survive because they had been tied down, the stalker seems to be wearing tattered scrubs when it attacks as do several clickers, which makes sense as notes found throughout the level indicate FEDRA kept doctors working in the shitty conditions trying to get answers for the government, maybe a vaccine idk,  instead of pulling everyone out to safety and blowing the building to high hell to stop whatever they could before it grew too out of hand to contain.
which is tooootally unrealistic because government officials would *never* leave the doctors and nursing staff to handle the worst parts of an outbreak, effectively sacrificing them instead of appropriately handling the issue to keep everyone safe, right....
Anyway.
The infected in this area that remain alive have been in several kinds of contained, sealed, rooms that might have contributed to the slow mutation, but it could just as likely be people were sent down to try and clear it more recently. However, in my quick look through, I didn’t see any WLF uniforms that would imply that there was an attempt to explore these floors. They probably got to the first section went, “Nope fuck that!”  wrangled a few wandering infected into rooms, locked them in and no one ever went back down until Abby.
Another theory that is even more depressing, is that since there are stalkers, FEDRA was operating far longer than we thought and as a result the time between when this hospital was abandoned and the timeline of the infected has been less than ten years time.
As always this is just a bunch of wild speculation I pulled out of my ass. The simple, most likely real answer is diversity of enemies in a video game makes for a better game.
Cause I doubt having to fight four bloaters and then the Rat King would provide much enrichment. It would be level design at it’s worst if you needed to save resources to take on the boss. Blow ‘em all on four mini bosses? nah, you get some manageable clickers a stalker or two.
I will say, it would be real fuckin’ cool if this was something they want to explore in the show. The lore behind how CBI could mutate and adapt over time would be something I really want to see more of in any future TLOU content they release. Like if they made some books that focused on the world and the outbreak? Fuck, now I miss the time when video game developers hired people to write books on their IPs and expand the lore in ways they couldn’t quite do in game. That’s were the some solid world building was at.
Thanks so much for the ask, anon. I like puzzling things out an I hope this wasn’t too too much of a read and actually answered your question  XD

...Aaaaaaaand this is the most recent thing i made! :D
Lemme explain:
Tumblr media
I like to "impersonificate" CoCortex around socials, especially on twitter (where i am the major part of my time), where i also roleplay with other peeps as CoCortex! But it has still, like, my feminine voice n stuff.
Anyway, i like to do silly situations where CoCortex me - aka simply "Pulce" - gets transformed or mutated (yes it has already happened before and yes, i did few drawings).
Here,
In a roleplay between me and Cortex, he has sent me looking for a Power Crystal cuz he knows Pulce does multiple treasure hunts of many types. Pulce comes back after a week - but in reality it has been A WHOLE MONTH on different planets and galaxies - with the perfect Power Crystal in a safety box (a glass cylinder that keeps the crystal floating there); before having the chance to steal that container SHE HAD to hold the crystal barehanded which caused her hair and some parts of her face go pink plus her arms getting PURPLE, also changing the flower on her hair.
The Crystal was too powerful and she adsorbed its powers, now being more evil, more ruthless, more mercyless, more powerful.
Did i mention the Crystal gave her electricity powers and that now she is a walking generator?
Sorry if too long! Tried shorting it as possible as i could >.<'
#Pulce

Welp I’m back in my Crash Bandicoot phase again!  Thus I decided to give my OC, Plumeria, another redesign.
Basically, Plumeria is now part Silverstorm Bengal cat and part bandicoot.
Her backstory has changed a bit too!
Dr. Cortex kidnapped Plumeria when she was still a cat and mutated her into the perfect super spy.  The only problem is that Plumeria has no interest in being evil.  She just wants to live a peaceful life away from others.
In order to make her cooperate, Dr. Cortex keeps Plumeria’s beloved cat toy, Mousey, hostage and threatens to destroy it unless she does as he says.
Mousey has pretty much been the closest thing Plumeria had to a friend so naturally, she doesn’t want anything to happen to it.
With Mousey’s safety on the line, Plumeria has no choice but to obey Dr. Cortex’s every command.
And her first order? Keep Crash busy while Dr. Cortex and Uka Uka set off their next evil plan.

X-Men Series Film Review
Welcome back to “Bren rambles about a movie/tv series.” So I just spent the past three days watching the main X-Men movies and while watching I wrote down my thoughts and what came to mind when watching the movies. Spoiler Warning(duh) for the X-Men movies. Also trigger warning because I do talk about homophobia and conversion camps.
X-Men
As the woman is talking about how mutants can be scared to revel themselve because they could be met with hostility and violence, I find this as a parellel to gay marriage and how LGBTQ+ are scared to come out because they won’t be accepted. Mutants are scared to say they’re mutants of fear of being put to death; LGBTQ+ people are scared to come out in fear of being met with violence or judgement(some places you can be put to death for being gay.
“We should decide if parents want their kids to be in school with mutants.” Sounds the same as “Do you want your child to go to the same school as a gay person? Do you want to be in the bathroom with a girl who has a dick?(in the context of conservatives who don’t want transgender people to use the bathrooms they identify with because “their genitals don’t match)”
Speaking of gay: Eric and Charles
Wolverine got anger issues
Wolverine adopting a young girl with mutant powers, how many times is this going to happen? At least twice.
Rouge really got the shortest end of the stick with the mutant gene.
Give Rouge a male love interest that will inevitably die by her hand, that’s what I’m assuming.
Jean Gray is going to be Wolverine’s love interest, calling it now
Mystique’s costume always bugs me because she’s essentially naked. Like, the directors were like “She must wear no clothes.” “That’s not practical-” “Men will eat it up. The sex appeal, yes. Because women can never have practical costume design.”
Scott looks like he’s played by the main dude in the Sonic Movie(I was right!)
Can Magneto bend the iron in people’s bodies?
“You never use your power against another mutant.” How long is that going to last?
Dad Logan is the best Logan.
The Train Splitting scene shows how powerful Magneto is but didn’t Charles tell Wolverine that Magneto can control metal. Wouldn’t Wolverine have the knowledge, “Hey using my METAL claws against a METAL bender might not be a good idea.”
Kinda figured he would want Rouge, a mutant who can literally kill someone with touch is definitely something the big bad would want.
Magento could just metal bend Charles’ wheelchair.
So Magento’s plan is to turn everyone into mutants, right?
Charles explained it more and it sounds like Terragensis from Agents of Shield with the crystals. Some come out of it with powers, others will crumble to dust.
What powers the cortex that makes it so Charles goes into a coma? Like how does the liquid get into his brain for that to happen?
Yes Jean, it is a perfect idea to put the helmet that put Charles into a coma on your head. Nothing will go wrong.
Mystique really only has like five lines in this whole movie. She really is just supposed to be eye candy.
Of course classic shapeshifter double, who’s who scene. Probably going to be resolved with Jean Gray knowing which one is the real Logan.
The fight scene isn’t that well shot but it is 2000 so
I don’t remember there being a big museum when I visited the Statue of Liberty
I doubt Mystique will stay dead.
Again they thought it would be a good idea to send Wolverine, the man with METAL CLAWS to help fight a METAL BENDER.
Nice of Magneto to put Cyclops and Jean right next to each other face to face.(Director: They’re a couple they must face each other so one can kill the other)
Yep, knew Mystique couldn’t stay dead
Why did they try and have Jean and Logan have a weird semi romance set up when Jean is dating Scott
They gave Charles a plastic wheel chair for when he visited Magneto. Ha, that’s funny.
Plastic isn’t that durable, it would be easy to break Magneto out
X2
Nightcrawler!
The fights scenes have improved, but they’re using a lot of wire rigging
Alan Cummings played NightCrawler. Knew he looked familiar.
Let’s have Wolverine follow a wolf even though wolves are wolverine's natural predators.
Watch the president be a mutant
Dad!Logan
Still painting it that Logan and Jean could possibly end up together. No thanks.
I see they didn’t change Mystique’s costume design. Is she going to say more than five lines in this movie?
Government wants to pass an act to detain and control all mutants, goes and raids a school filled with mutants, and then is SURPRISED when the mutants retaliate. “Oh we don’t want to start a war” THEN LEAVE THEM ALONE. Of course they’re not going to leave them alone because what isn’t normal scares them and must be dealt with no matter what.
Getting even more parallels between mutants and LGBTQ+. Striker wanted his son cured of the mutant gene but was ultimately upset when Charles’s school couldn’t do that. It’s similar to how when people come out to their parents, their parents send them to conversion camps to “Cure” them because they think being gay is an illness.
Bobby don’t get horny, it will only end badly
I asked the question if Magento could bend the iron in people’s blood in the last movie. The answer is yes. Yes he can.
Bobby’s parents “Have you tried not being a mutant.” Gives more LGBTQ parreles “Have you tried being straight?” “Have you tried being your assigned gender?”
An officer shooting a white guy? Unrealistic.
Welp Bad guys and good guys team up to save Charles.
Jean and Logan kissed. Here’s my shocked face. #TeamScott.
But seriously, I hate how the main dude must have romantic interactions with the main girl. It’s never the main dude has romantic interactions with a minor(minior in the sense of not that important to the plot) girl, Storm is right there with no love interest. Pair Logan up with her, that way we aren’t running an already established romance, But nooooo, Hollywood loves to have love triangles.
Mystique changing into Jean, making out with Logan, and then changing into a bunch of different girls makes me uncomfortable.
But again, “All women who have the potential to be a love interest must kiss the main dude” now we wait for Storm to give Logan a smooch.
Female Wolverine!
Magneto had his own secret agenda? Who would have thought?
Bobby’s going to come in clutch with freezing the water
Why does Jean need to go and stop the water? Bobby has control over ice, he can stop it.
Man I really feel bad for Scott.
But I’m miffed because it’s the classic female character dies to further male character’s development.
Oh look Jean’s alive, not surprise. Is she going to be the villain of X-men 3?
I couldn’t watch X-Men 3 because it wasn’t available on any sites but reading the wiki synopsis I was right on her being a bad guy(MY BOY SCOTT GOT MURDERED!). Upset Charles died but he was old and the mentor figure so he kinda had it coming.  On to the prequels.
X-Men-First Class
So Charles met Mystique first. And her name is Raven. Wonder what caused their split. I just hope they weren’t romantically involved
Poor Erik, really giving him a tragic backstory
James Macavoy!
Raven and Charles call each other siblings! Oh this is going to hurt more.
Excuse me while I get distracted by Vegas women.
But also did the CIA woman plan to sneak in as a showgirl. Because who would wear lingerie under work clothes unless she planned for this(or planned to get freaky later). I mean it’s Vegas so maybe she was prepared.
Emma Frost is a telepath and can crystalize her body. Not what I was expecting with the last name Frost but I also find it odd that her two mutations don’t intersect with each other. Telepathy and crystallization have nothing in common, so the only explanation is that she got both genes from her parents. It would have to be rare since males are usually the ones to pass the gene to their kids.
Azazel. I’m guessing is Nightcrawler's dad. He and Mystique will get romantically involved and have Nightcrawler. He’ll get the blue skin from his mom but the mutant gene from his dad.
Ok I’m miffed about the costume design again. It’s London and it’s raining and they decided to have Raven and the CIA woman wear SHORTS! They’ll be freezing their asses off all so you can have some leg candy? What’s so appealing about knees? Nothing. It’s always been women’s costume designs that have to be appealing, not practical.
If Charles can’t be involved with Mystique, then he’ll have to get involved with Moira?(I don’t know if I heard her name correctly, the CIA lady). Because all male characters MUST have a romantic love interest(sarcasm)
That one CIA dude, he’s a real one.
So the dude that killed Erik’s mother, is also a mutant.
How is Erik trending water and controlling metal? Nevermind, he’s drowning
Charles saves Erik! And thus the ship is born. “Erik, you’re not alone.”
Hank Mcoy. They zoomed in on Mystique when he was looking at her. Reading the camera angles...oh please don’t have another romantic set up.
They did the Spiderman/MJ framing with Hank upside down and Mystique very close to his face. Yep, they’re setting up a romance between them that will ultimately go nowhere because again, Mystique will do the do with Azael to get Nightcrawler.
Hank and Mystique have only known each other for like five minutes and they’re already having a picnic on top of a rocket. I hate how romance moves so fast in movies.
And Mystique was going to kiss him. Just...no
Erik, right after he walks in on Hank and Mystique’s picnic: If I looked like you, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Are they really trying to set up a love triangle between Hank, Mystique and Erik? I know Magneto and Mystique's relationship in the first three movies is close, but that sentence just makes it sound like Erik is jealous.
“Are you sure we can’t shave your head.” “Don’t touch my hair”. I mean he’s going to lose it eventually.
I love the mutant finding montage. Especially the Wolverine cameo
My mom just informed me that the bad bad is played by Kevin Bacon so that’s what I will refer to him as since I can’t remember his name.
These recruited mutants aren’t going to last long. They’ve got the youthful team up energy, they will be the “First Class” hence the name, but we probably won’t see them again after this movie.
Charles, Erik and Moira being disappointed parents. Starting to get a family vibe that we didnt get from the last three movies.
Charles as Erik storms in: I’m sorry, I can’t leave him. They’re gay your honor.
I just realized that Frost is the second right hand woman to have no real costume. She’s just like Mystique where “she must wear the least amount of clothing possible or have no clothing at all when using her powers” I just wish it would stop.
Let’s take the right hand woman who is a telepath with us. What could go wrong?
What is Angel’s motive to go with Bacon, like I don’t get it. And the adaption dude? It’s just a turn on the dime. Nevermind it was a fakeout and one of them died. Knew they weren’t going to last long.
I feel like Chalres trying to shoot Erik as training is foreshadowing.
Training montage
SO Bacon loses Frost and now has Angle as his right hand woman? I honestly didn’t think that necessary.
Welp there goes Mystique and Hank’s relationship. He only liked her when she was in disguise.
Conflicting differences! Finally get to see Erik and Charle’’s view on humans.
Knew it! As soon as Hank dumps Mystique she goes straight to Erik. Because “She MUST be romantically involved.” Why? Why? Can’t she just...not. She doesn’t need a man.
Erik: I want to go to bed. Maybe in a few years. Ha funny.
I get Mystique going to Erik because he accepts her, unlike Hank but again, she doesn’t need to have a love interest.
Suits! But again, miffed about Mystique’s suit not being fully set up. SHE DOESN'T”T NEED TO HAVE HER CLEAVAGE TEASING IF SHE”S GOING TO BE FIGHTING!
Could Charles just stop controlling Bacon, so he can move and Erik wouldn’t have a chance to kill him.
But good cuts between Bacon and Charles.
The boyfriends are fighting!
Oh that’s how he gets parralized. I forgot about that.
Erik really does care for Charles even tho they have different viewpoints
Mystique going with Erik and having Azeal with him is setting up the perfect opportunity for Nightcrawler.
“Gentleman, this is why the CIA is no place for a woman” *Big gigantic crash* That’s what you get for being sexist.
Days of Future Past
So these machines can absorb mutant powers and transfer them to other machines. A new threat.
Oh Charles isn’t dead from being disintegrated by Dark Phoenix
Logan!
Charles confirmed Mystique was like a sister to him.
So Mystique’s dna was the cause of the Sentitnals. I understand that stopping Mystique from shooting the doctor will change that, but also if that doesn’t work they would have to kill Mystique.(which won’t happen because she’s in the next movie.
Charles tells Wolverine that he didn’t have his powers in 1973, but First Class takes place in 1962 where he definitely had his powers. So what happened to Charles that made him lose his powers?
For once the government isn’t targeting mutants
Well one dude from First Class is in this movie, but sadly I can’t remember his name. X-beam guy.
Why is Charles drunk and not parallelized?
Hank still cares for Raven. Guess the love triangle is still a thing
Oh he’s doing the equivalent of mutant heroine to get rid of his powers and walk.
Erik in gay baby jail.
Erik killed JFK?! Why?!
I feel like if Mystique is searching around the office of someone, she should still be disguised as someone so she doesn’t get caught. I get her dropping the disguise to show the audience it’s her and it builds suspense but she would draw less suspicion.
PETER! MY boy!
I love that he talks fast and that’s kinda like a teenager. I don’t know how old he actually is.
“My mom knew a guy who could do that.” They’re not even trying to be subtle here.
Slow mo Peter speed scene! Yes!
Is that all we get of Peter in this movie? I hope not.
JFK WAS A MUTANT?
So Magneto can lift a plane, a submarine, and now a baseball stadium. Why does he need a baseball stadium?
They showed a clip of Peter watching the broadcast and he’s holding a little girl. I’d like to think that’s Wanda.
Everyone’s alive. Yay!
I’ll excuse Jean being alive because time changes and all that. SCOTT! SCOTT”S ALIVE! YES!
Apocalypse
Hey Oscar Issac
Young Scott!
Young Nightcrawler!
Erik went from wanting to kill humans to being a farmer and having a wife and daughter. Still going to end up on the bad side.
Young Jean Gray! Scott and her start out rocky but we know they’re going to end up together.
Knew the wife and kid wasn’t going to last long. Always got to do something that makes Magneto the bad guy
Two birds...one arrow
For this one, I can understand Magneto’s anger
Young Storm was originally on the bad guy’s side.
Scott sees things through literal rose tinted glasses.
I love Kurt.
Scott use to be a rule breaker
At least Storm has a practical costume.
Also if Erik really wanted to lay low, why did he choose to work at a metal factory.
Pyslocke’s costume isn’t practical. She’s got a boob and butt window. Girl there are so many places you could get stabbed.
PETER!
Charles and Erik always greet each other with old friend
So birdman gets metal armor and the girls get nothing.
Peter slow-mo! This will always be my favorite speedster scene
So the only people that can save the X-Men are Cyclops, Jean Gray, and NightCrawler. Three teenagers with no plan. They got this.
Go Charles! Fighting no matter what.
Logan!
Thankfully most of these characters can’t die.
Pyslocke  and Angel can die but the others all have plot armour
Peter didn’t tell Erik he’s his son. Why?
No not the hair! Apocalypse took Charle’s hair.
Go Peter!
No Peter!
So Charles still has the hair when he’s in Apocalypse's head. Part of me knows it won’t grow back but I hope it does.
Mind fight!
So Erik is on the good guys side until the next movie.
Mystique finally has a good costume design
Dark Phoenix
The dude they got to play Bush doesn't look like Bush
SPACE!
This mission is going to go wrong and the X-men are going to get planned. Thus leading the world going against mutants again.
They gave Scott is own eye cannon, nice
Yea absorbing a solar flare will definitely cause your powers to go way hire
Well the mission didn’t go wrong, the way i thought it would. That’s good.
Charles motives have changed
So, men, supposed gods, robots, and now we’re dealing with aliens
Charles kinda being shown as a bad guy is weird. So used to seeing him have good motives.
The aliens want Jean to use her power to take over earth. Not surprising.
Dad now is not the time to poke the super powered bear
Police always show up at the wrong time
I know Mystique can’t die. This is the prequels
But again, Stop killing female characters to further male character’s development.
Oh there’s Erik. 50 minutes in and i thought we weren’t going to see him
Jean’s got a heat signature with that solar flare so it would be easy to track her.
At least the military decided to fallback instead of shooting
And there goes humans liking mutants. This is why we can’t have nice things.
So Mystique’s death is what sets Erik on being the villain again? It’s the same as a woman losing her husband and becoming a villain for revenge. Honestly I’m tired of love revenge plots.
Guys stop fighting! You’re  friends!
Oh shit! Jean is making Charles walk. And not in the good way.
OH SHIT KURT IS KILLING PEOPLE NOW!
Dark Phoenix. A movie about family.
Legend of the Phoenix. She’ll rise from the ashes.
Bummed Peter wasn’t in this movie more
All in all, Apcolypse is my favorite X-Men movie.

This is going to be VERY long!
I'm creating this mainly so that I myself, as well as everyone else, remember which OCs of mine are canon. I'm also going to re-explain who said OCs are, just as a refresher. Oh yeah, and I'm also going to mention certain events that pertain to this AU in particular. Keep in mind that as of right now, I have yet to give this AU a proper name. There is another reason I am making this: I simply keep changing what is canon and what is not. I am ALSO creating this because I have yet to post all of my OCs and I kind of want to explain who they are before putting them on here.
My only OCs that are canon are Raven, Stormy, Aisleen, Natalie, Subject 21, Markus, Princess Beatrix, Empress Roberta, Violet, Ashley Norm, Brandon, Ashley Thomas, Lyra, and Princess Lily.
Raven is the older sister of Violet. She was overprotective of her, which eventually drove Violet mad, so she ran away. Even though Raven later discovered that Violet had even moved to a distant planet in the 1st Dimension to get away from it all, she didn't seem to worry too much about her safety.
Stormy is the cousin of Raven and Violet. There isn't much to say about her, other than she is a tomboy. That's...all there pretty much is to her.
Aisleen met Cortex, N. Gin, N. Brio, and N. Tropy during high school while she was pretending to be an exchange student from Scotland. N. Tropy was pretty much a jerk to the other three boys until Aisleen made him eventually see the error of his ways, and the four became fast friends. It wasn't long after that that Aisleen revealed her true identity to her new friends. In actuality, she is from the 10th Dimension and is one of the Masters of Darkness. Strange occurrences were seen at the Academy of Evil for the next few months until it was revealed who the culprit was: Lyra, who revealed herself to be from the same dimension as Aisleen; she also happens to be a MoD. After a grueling battle, it was Lyra who was defeated and she was thus sent back to her own dimension. It was after that that Aisleen revealed why she went to the 1st Dimension: to find her twin sister, who had been missing for years. She fled the academy after that, as she knew that her sister was nowhere to be found in that area. As the years went by, Cortex formed a team known simply as Team Cortex and had a castle built for him, which was dubbed Cortex Castle. He then had several animals mutated, but shortly after, a "newcomer" who was dressed in a black hood showed up to the island in an attempt to destroy Cortex and his fellow villains. Needless to say, the newcomer was defeated. She took her hood off, revealing herself to be none other than Aisleen, much to the shock of Cortex and his school friends. With Uka Uka's permission, Aisleen was allowed on the team and has been fighting by their side ever since. As time passed, Aisleen and N. Tropy began falling in love with each other and they eventually began to date. They got married only a year after, and they had a child about ten months after. Their child happens to be Natalie Time Tropy. And no, N. Tropy did not come up with her middle name. It was Aisleen that did, actually. Aisleen and her missing sister did not get to see each other again until about eighteen years after Natalie was born.
Natalie is the daughter of Aisleen and N. Tropy, meaning she is a mix between a human and a cat. She is Nina's best friend, although the two have nothing in common. Even for a villain, Natalie seems a bit too kind. Still, she aids her villains as best she can, mainly when her father is involved. There was a time, though, that she betrayed Cortex and the others and joined Team Crash. When her father became much of a nuisance for the heroes, however, she and N. Brio (who had temporarily joined the side of good as well) were forced to rejoin Team Cortex. Ever since then, Natalie has been acting a bit more...sinister than usual, but not by much. She usually only harms others when N. Tropy orders her to, but that rarely ever happens.
Subject 21 is personally my favourite of the OCs that I have created. She is a demon known as a Nightmarw from a world known as Nightfall. The only portal that leads to her world is in a book, which there is only one copy of. Let me try to shorten her backstory as best I can. At the age of five, her parents died and she began blaming herself for such a tragedy, so she was sent to an asylum for being so-called "insane." What really made her insane, though, were the experiments she was eventually put through in the asylum. After a while, her psychiatrist simply got tired of her, so he killed her. I'm not sure if anyone was wondering, but if you were, 21 died from body disembowelment and dismemberment. Oh yeah, I almost forgot--she was given the name "Subject 21" due to the fact that she was the twenty-first child to be experimented on in the asylum. Oh yeah, and she was killed at the age of 18. Just thought I'd mention that. One more thing: she only became a demon because someone attempted to resurrect her. When you try to resurrect somebody who was already insane to begin with, it tends to have its consequences. Currently, no one in the world, not even herself, knows her true name.
There isn't really much to say about Markus. He is Natalie's boyfriend. The two met, of course, sometime during school. They have currently been dating for two years now. Markus secretly wants to propose to Natalie in the future.
Princess Beatrix is the daughter of Emperor Velo and Empress Roberta. She once explained to the earthlings that her father was once a robot, but someone experimented on him (against his will, of course) and made his tall and obese form be able to function as an actual being, meaning he can have children and such. Anyway, although Beatrix is a princess, she doesn't wish to be. Throughout her childhood, she would often act like a tomboy and was rather violent. Although not a tomboy any longer, she still has a sadistic side. Beatrix happens to be the niece of Nitros Oxide, who I made Emperor Velo's brother in all of my AUs. Beatrix happens to be related to an earthling: Natalie Tropy. The two are cousins, being as Beatrix's mother is Aisleen's sister.
Empress Roberta is, of course, the husband of Emperor Velo XXVII. Before they got married, Roberta was nothing more than a servant under the employ of Emperor Velo. She was his most loyal subject, at that. He soon found himself infatuated with her, and he was actually quite disgusted with himself for having those feelings, being as he normally shows no emotion rather than anger. After Roberta made one little mishap, she was brutally punished by Velo. It was only a couple weeks later that she discovered she was pregnant with his child. It was after that that Velo decided to confess his feelings for Roberta, and the two got married that same day. After their child was born, they named it Beatrix. Soon after, Roberta mysteriously disappeared. It wasn't until Beatrix was 19 that Roberta was found on Earth, pretending that she had lost her memories. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention one thing: Roberta and Velo actually had twins, Princesses Beatrix and Lily. Lily is the last OC I will talk about on here.
Violet is Big Norm's girlfriend. The two were best friends throughout their childhood. Even after the two did not see each other for years, they remained the best of friends. Sometime after Violet moved to Kobold, the planet on which Emperor Velo is ruler (yes, I decided to give that planet a name), she revealed to everyone that she is from the 10th Dimension and is a Master of Darkness, but she also promised to do more good than harm to the planet. Strange occurrences were soon seen on Kobold, and the culprit was later discovered to be Lyra. Brandon, Violet's ex-boyfriend, was also in on what was going on. The two tried to destroy Violet but ultimately failed, and they were sent back to the 10th Dimension, where they are from as well. After that, Big Norm confessed his true feelings toward Violet and the two began to date. They have currently been together for twenty years, although they have yet to get married.
Ashley Norm is the daughter of Big Norm and Violet. She is an eighteen-year-old tomboy who plays video games for a living. She keeps claiming she is Beatrix's best friend, but the princess doesn't acknowledge her presence half of the time. Ashley Norm's greatest rival is Natalie, although it has never been explained why.
Brandon is Violet's abusive ex. That is exactly why she broke up with him: he was rather abusive to her in the past. He was so angry about it that he even attempted to destroy Violet, with the help of Lyra. The two were, of course, defeated and were sent back to their own dimension: the 10th Dimension.
Ashley Thomas and Subject 21 became immediate friends when they met each other in the asylum. Back then, Ashley T. was known as Subject 53, but she discovered her true name when a stranger helped her escape the asylum (this was after 21's death, of course). After Ashley T. and her former mentor attempted to resurrect 21--well, let's just say it backfired and 21 turned into a demon instead, causing turmoil around London. It was then that 21 became enemies with her former friend, simply because Ashley T. is a human. Sometime after 21 became part of a prophecy and was forced to aid Crash and his friends, and even foes, save the world from destruction, she suddenly began to remember who Ashley T. was and the two became friends once again. After that, 21 joined Team Cortex and has been getting along with mortals a little better.
Lyra is the rival of both Aisleen and Violet in particular. She attempted to destroy Aisleen on Earth but failed. Sometime later, she managed to escape the 10th Dimension again and tried to destroy Violet instead, on Kobold. Again, she failed and was banished to the 10th Dimension for her transgressions.
Princess Lily is the twin sister of Princess Beatrix. The two are sworn enemies, needless to say. You see, when it was declared that Beatrix was to become the heir to the throne, Lily was downright furious and attempted to murder her entire family. She, of course, failed and was banished to the 10th Dimension. For some reason, though, she keeps managing to escape. Why this is, not even Emperor Velo knows. Every time she makes an appearance, she attempts to destroy both her family (particularly Beatrix) and the earthlings.

Why did you want to mutate fake Crash? Also, Fake Crash is a minion of Cortex. Do you not disrespect him by antagonizing Fake Crash? Are you against Cortex?
Oh my god you can’t be serious
He was the first already mutated animal I’ve seen so I took the opportunity to see what would happen if you tried to go further That’s literally the only reason it was him
And what are you on about with “are you againts Cortex” ? I’m so damn grateful for him giving me a place to stay I could never do anything bad to him Plus doesn’t he himself hate the fact the Bandicoots exist ?
So what the hell is your point ? Are you trying to make me mad ? Because god fucking damn it’s working you bastard !
You people are so insufferable today

This is my new Crash Bandicoot OC, Brittany.
Name: Brittany Bandicoot
Species: Mutated Bandicoot
Gender: Female
Mutated by: Dr. Nitrus Brio
Voice Actress: Erica Lindbeck *Cassie Cage from Mortal Kombat 11*
https://youtu.be/ZXQ-prC6xHs?t=18
Biography: Brittany was once an ordinary bandicoot from Australia until she was captured by the Lab Assistants and was taken to the Cortex Castle and was mutated by Dr. N. Brio *Something that happened during the events of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex*, she was locked up alongside the other good mutants who are against N. Brio.
Later *In a sequel to Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced* , she was one of the many mutants freed by Crash, Coco, Crunch, and Aku Aku, who are looking for the pet cat of Danielle and her little sister Abby named Janie, when they believed she was mutated, but she wasn't around with the mutated animals, so they continue to search for her.
After Uka Uka's defeat where he was once again stranded on the same artic wasteland as Neo Cortex and Janie being freed from Uka Uka and N. Brio's control as Feral J where she was reunited with her owners, Brittany decided to live her own life.
Brittany herself is sarcastic and has a city girl personality living an urban life, but deep down, she's cool, enthusiastic, and reliable.
