an unfounded thought I've been having--I wouldn't even call it a prediction, quite--is: suppose we get the "save one person per clear" pattern. I think it would be so striking to have Melinoe waver and hesitate--she's supposed to rescue Nyx first, this is strategic, she and Headmistress have planned for this--but in the end she finds herself freeing Zagreus first out of her own curiosity and yearning. And then she goes back to the Crossroads and has to deal with Hecate and Several Nyxkids, who were all expecting one thing from her and got another. I think that would be fraught and very fun.
