I just thought I would go a bit about how Moon Battles. Mainly because yea that are Z-moves -- but do you really think Moon uses them??

The answer is no: Moon does not really use Z-Moves. She VERY rarely uses them actually. Because of this, you actually will not see her z-ring present most of the time. In fact, the times you DO see it are the following times: Battle Tree, Battle Royal, and Contests. When in normal battles -- unless she plans ahead of time, you won’t really see it.

This is because Moon HATES z-moves. She feels awkward using them. Yes, they are incredibly strong, flashy moves, but she gets incredibly drained from them as well. She also has the belief that she can out her energy into other battling styles and technique that don’t put so much energy into ONE move but rather into the entire battle.

Now, this being said, Moon DOES use Mega-Evolution. Anubis is the primary suspect and bandit for said battle style. She’s also very predictable in the fact that is she were to use Anubis in battle, it would be a 99% chance that he will Mega-Evolve. 

Now aside from the previous two techniques mentioned, Moon is quite the strategist. And she can vary in the way she battles from status moves to straight up power. It really depends on the kind of pokemon she has one her and which one will battle. 

For example: Mo and Anubis are have straight up power moves. Nothing in either of their kits help them with status whatsoever. They are faster pokemon with some endurance though, so essentially she is relying on their speed, strength, and ability to stay in a battle. 

On the other hand, she has Mimi and Lili. Lili’s kit is all about status. She will put a pokemon to sleep, Leech seed them, and life steal when necessary. Mimi relies more on evasiveness. She’ll boost her chances of avoid attacks while also using upfront techniques to win a battle. 

These are all prime examples of the differences in Moon’s battling technique. All require some power -- in fact, Moon is better to finish a battle quickly with powerful one-hit attacks. That being said, she still also has capabilities to survive in longer battles.

EXTRA: this was an actual in-game thing that happened to me, and I’m sure I recorded it, but while in the battle tree, Moon went up against a person that essentially took out EVERYBODY in her team. Niji was out with a one hit KO with the first pokemon. Mimi took out the first one, but died to the second one, and then Silv -- FUCKING SILV. He had the Steel memory on him but GOD his defense. He took out the second pokemon and then we had to deal with a fucking Dragonite who liked to paralyze the team. who also liked to use Toxic. SILV WAS IMMUNE TO TOXIC BUT LIKE WHATEVER ATTACKS HE DID USE PREETY MUCH SILV WAS LIKE LOL WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO TICKLE. Also, the Dragonite had roost so like killing him was not gonna happen fast. Silv lasted so fucking long like it got to the point where the dragonite had no more moves left. And then that’s how we won. YES SILV WAS LIKE FUCK YOU BOI TO A FUCKING DRAGONITE.

And now i don’t look at dragonite’s the same.

But yea so that’s Moon’s battling in a nutshell.
