do not rent from young landlords
do not rent from old landlords

#in all seriousness#best range is like 30-40 year olds.#theyre the few people who are most likely to not be completely fucking insane and entitled#and even then theyre still insane and entitled.#but never ever ever ever EVER rent from someone in their 20s to early 30s or someone 50-60.#trust me#do not ever do it#ever.#LITERALLY EVER.#i promise you will regret it soon#i grew up with 50/60yo landlords they are literally the worst people i know.#they were both too fucking stupid and arrogant and cheap to provide lawfully required features#like running water.#and heat#and then on the opposite end of the spectrum 20 yos dont know about 99% of the stuff they need to do for property management#and they just dont feel like they need to provide a safe livable space for you because it's just a quick cash scheme for them.#this also applies to air bnb.#but honestly i'd say 30yos and 50-60yos are the worst for air bnb ownership#my boss has an airbnb and shes like 60. shes very biased in what she tells us but most people cancel on her before their trip is done so..#and millenials all jumped on it bc they see it purely as a cash grab they dont have to put any effort in to.#if you can find an elderly owned air bnb? you hit gold.#elderly as in older than 70.#they put respect into it. it's like a bed and breakfast. cute little themes
