Yooo you played in the school orchestra? What instrument(s) do you play? :D

i'm not in school anymore (that was years ago) but i went down the piano -> violin -> string bass -> cello pipeline! still have my 19 year old cello (mikey) and my 22 year old violin (sherry). i play them every now and then when i have the time :)

#replies #loki-lock #i just recently bought some new violin books to try and get myself to play more #but working full time really does drain a guy orz #speaking of i need to get sherry fitted for some new pegs #younger me had switched out two of the pegs and now it's mis matched and it keeps slipping #so i gotta call the luthier and see if they can do something about it #i didn't play piano in the school orchestra #and i switched to string bass in 7th grade because the orchestra was only violins and it just sounded not good without lower voices #and then in 12th grade i switched to cello bc all our cellists graduated and we had two bassists come in so i thought why not #i'm already reading bass clef how hard can switching to cello be #tbh once you learn to play one string instrument it's not too difficult to adjust to another one #u just gotta learn to read another clef lmao #ough musical instruments is another thing i could talk about all day if i don't stop myself haha
