an unexpected challenge when writing about vampires is that it is really difficult to describe people’s internal and external reactions to stimuli when those people do not have a heartbeat or need to breathe

#this is about wwdits fic of course #i know a lot of people write them as breathing out of habit but they still wouldn’t be like. panting from exertion or anything #vampire physiology in general is just ???#like in wwdits we know vamps have blood in their veins #cause turning involves the sired drinking the sire’s blood #but is that just the blood of their victims that ends up in their veins or where does the blood come from #also is it just stagnant or how is it flowing #because them being pale is because of a lack of blood flow right #but then wouldn’t the blood they have in their veins clot if its not flowing #or is it like some magical substance thats not the same as human blood #see this is why i can’t write anything short i get way too caught up in world building and lore #also its so funny how everything i try to write from this fandom becomes quite dark and serious #and then im expecting the fart jokes show to like. provide me with good vampire lore #fine ill make it up myself
