Work for it
Tumblr media
Part II: Promotion
pairing: coworker! johnny x reader
other members as background characters: haechan as johnny’s assistant
genre: smut
warnings: explicit smut, semi-public sex, spit in mouth, pussy slapping, throatpie (omg I got so embarrassed writing this down)
word count: 5,792
summary: “One of your co-workers, the supervisor of the Sales Department John Suh, is arguably the hottest man you’ve seen in your life. You try to act on your crush but he is just plain oblivious to your efforts, but you won’t stop until your fantasies come true”
 -------------------------------------------------------------
Work for you was living hell and no, it wasn’t for the normal reasons. You had a nice job as an intern in the Financial Department of a company, and with your hard work getting recognized, you were looking forward to being offered a permanent position soon.
Today was no different. You had made sure all your files were organized, calls made and deadlines in check. All you had left to do was look over a report in the office of none other but the man who was causing your suffering. Mr. Suh.
Mr. Suh, or Johnny as he insisted on being called, was the supervisor of the Sales Department but he didn’t let it get to his head. He was extremely friendly, willing to help his subordinates and brought a smile to everyone’s face. Working with him would be amazing if there wasn’t one little problem. He was the sexiest man you had ever seen.
Now, now, you weren’t some middle schooler. You came into this company committed to get the position you deserve, not beg for some man’s dick. But when he first welcomed you in the main elevator, tall height, hair pushed back and with a face of godly facial structure, you almost pressed the stop button so he could take you right then and there.
You brought some files along and ascended the stairs that lead you to his office on the top floor. It would be more convenient if Mr. Suh sent the report downstairs with his assistant and your best work buddy, Donghyuck, but you insisted on paying him a visit, saying something about how a little work out never hurt anyone.
When you saw Donghyuck at his desk, he didn’t even look up from his laptop, pointing at the door instead.
“Put your panties back on. He’s on the printing room”
You rolled your eyes at his comment, used to his teasing about your crush on mr. Suh and headed out for said room at the end of the hall. Johnny was hunched over a machine, shaking it from side to side.
You knocked lightly on the already open door to announce your presence, and he turned around, flashing you his killer smile.
“y/n, hello! I was just trying to get you a copy of the report, but the damn printer seems to be broken again.”
You tried to tell him that it’s okay, that you can use the printer from your floor downstairs, but then he bent over trying to locate the cause of the malfunction, giving you a perfect view of his ass in his fitted tracksuit. Rutting the machine around, he thrusted his hips forward, letting out the occasional grunt, and you took a mental picture for later. He must have shaken something a bit too hard, because ink started to spill out of the cartilage.
“Aww, it’s dripping everywhere”
He had the sleeves of his shirt rolled up, and you couldn’t help but stare at how veiny and strong his arms looked as he pushed down. Your mind wandered off, imagining how nice it must feel to have him on top of you, applying this kind of pressure with his pretty hands around your neck as he-
“y/n? Are you ok?”
“Uh-um yes! Sorry Mr. Suh, it’s been a hard day”
It’s been your cute ass that made it hard for me to function around you was what you actually meant. He winked your way, and you were almost sure he did a double take on a skirt you wore that he had complimented before.
See, it’s not like you never thought of making a move on Johnny. You knew he was single, and he even told Donghyuck that he thought you were cute. Romantic relations between coworkers was not a rare thing, but the way everyone around here respected him made you nervous to approach him. No matter how many people fell for his charming personality and his visuals, he was never part of the company’s gossips and you knew the reason. The guy was denser than a brick wall.
You tried testing the waters with him, taking the light flirting a bit further, but he never seemed to catch the point. Maybe he was so used to getting this kind of attention that he dismissed your attempts as just friendly banter.
But you weren’t ready to give up.
“Sometimes I like coming here to relax. This place is usually so nice and quiet. It gives you privacy to do so many things”
What you said must have piqued his interest, since he gave up on the printer and turned his attention to you instead.
“Things, that the company wouldn’t approve of doing in here?”, he said in a lower voice than before and your throat felt dry when you answered him.
“Yeah. It’s just, we wouldn’t get caught in here, you know?”
“Oh, I know exactly what you mean”
He took two steps towards you before lowering down to whisper closer to you.
“I actually know a place that has even more privacy than this room. I usually go there alone, but it will be so much more fun with you”
Droplets of sweat had collected on his temples as a result of his physical activity earlier, making his words sound so much more enticing. He looked around, checking if anyone was standing in the hallway, before whispering again.
“This will be our little secret, ok?”
You swallowed hard and nodded, ready to get your world rocked by John Suh. He reached for something in his back pocket, but instead of a condom, he whipped out something you’d never expect.
A pack of cigarettes.
“I told everyone I’d quit but the stress gets too much sometimes, you know? I didn’t remember you smoke, though”
Oh my god. Oh my god, you were so stupid. All this time you thought you coaxed him into a steamy, clothes-on, ass on the printer quickie and he meant sneaking you out for a guilt-drenched cigarette break??!!
“Right! You didn’t remember that I smoke because.. because I don’t! ...Anymore. I mean, I quit, just like you. And you know what Mr. Suh, we shouldn’t succumb to the needs of the flesh! Fight back to our bad habits and get healthier! Together!”
He was frozen in place, dumbfounded by your sudden anti-smoking monologue.
“Wow y/n I didn’t know you were so serious about this. Very impressed by your spirit though.” He patted you on the back before picking up the report from the printer and getting to the door. “I’ll tell Donghyuck to print this for you and deliver it to your desk. Won’t take too long, alright?”
And just like that, he managed to leave you in the printing room alone, horny, and one report down.
 ——————————————————
The next morning at the office was as typical as any other, with the difference that it was raining cats and dogs. The low that was centered over the area caused continuous storms, the rain and moody atmosphere making it impossible for you to keep your eyes open.
You headed over to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee, already the second one of the day, when you saw a very familiar someone occupying the coffee machine.
“Mind if you make me a cup too Mr. Suh? I hear you make the best coffee in the office”
He chuckled at you, instantly recognizing your voice.
“It’s my pride. I do love coffee” After turning on the machine he looked at you finally, a serious look on his face. “Listen, y/n, about yesterday, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have tried to drag you down with me like that. You were right about the cigarette thing. I’ll quit for good”
You blinked at him, trying to grasp the ridiculousness of the situation and feeling a bit sorry for guilting him like that.
“It’s ok Mr. Suh don’t worry about it. No big deal”
“Oh and, please, call me Johnny. You make me feel a thousand years old. I’m not that much older than you.”
“Yes Mr.- Johnny”
Just at that moment, a lightning struck, making you jump in place. You glanced at the window, or rather the stormy mess outside, and sighed.
“Chose the wrong day to forget my umbrella huh?”
“You want me to drop you off?”, he offered, immediately making you panic.
“No no! It’s okay. The metro station is really close. It’s fine if I get a little wet anyways, I won’t melt, I’m not made of sugar”
You cringed a bit at your nerve-induced blurting, but it would all be gone in a second.
“You’re sweet like sugar though”
He poured the now brewed coffee on both your cups and you just stared at his movements in shock. Did he just? Initiate the flirting? And called you sweet?
Ok, this is it, you thought.
“Do you like sugar?”, you asked him seductively, making your arms touch. You had to take advantage of this opportunity. The ride home suddenly didn’t sound like such a bad idea.
“Oh no thanks I drink my coffee black”
Looking at the clock on the wall he picked up his cup and took a sip, striding out of the kitchen and leaving you speechless, much like yesterday.
“I’m late for a meeting. See you later, y/n”
You groaned as you watched him walk away, pouring an excessive amount of sugar in your drink.
“That’s not what I meant...”
 ———————————————————
Meetings usually meant making sure you had enough battery on your phone to silently play your favorite game, while you heard some old guy in a suit blabber on and on about the most boring topic on earth. Usually you’d be complaining about why they just had to take away valuable time of your day to talk about an issue that could very easily be briefed in a mass email, but not today. Because today, the man of honor who got to do all the talking, was Johnny.
To anyone else, you looked like the most eager intern in the company, taking in every single word that came out his mouth. In reality, you were just immensely turned on by his fluent English, his new suit, and his ability to capture everyone’s attention. You had no idea what he was talking about, but you could listen to him talk all day about how “Results are important” and “Taking a more aggressive strategy is vital”.
A sudden noise made everyone turn to the exit door, only to see that it was just the cleaning lady that had dropped her bucket as she was going down the stairs. You felt Donghyuck, who was sitting next to you as always, nudge you with his knee.
“Oh look, she brought a mop for your drool, how nice of her”
“I’m not drooling”, you whispered back with a glare, shoving him with your elbow.
“Right”, he chuckled, “you’re ready to get on your knees for him right now”
It was really hard to get the picture that Donghyuck had painted out for you off your head for the rest of the meeting. You pathetically rubbed your thighs together to get the slightest feeling of relief, and tried to mute out Johnny’s sexy voice with no avail. When the meeting was finally over, you walked out of the meeting room along with everyone else, when you saw Johnny catch up with you.
“Hey y/n”
“Hi Johnny! Nice presentation up there”
He beamed up at your compliment and you wanted to coo at him for looking so cute. His aura changed a color when he replied to you, turning solemn.
“Thank you. Glad to see you’ve finally dropped the formalities with me”. I can drop my panties too if you want, you thought to yourself, but you only smiled at him when he managed to leave you speechless once again. “Is it wet?”
Wet? Fuck, was Donghyuck right? Were you really so caught up on eating Johnny up with your eyes that he noticed? That he realized you were so turned on by him? He saw your confused expression and tried to futilely explain.
“Is it wet? Down there?”
You were losing it. Was he really asking you that in front of all your coworkers? Your face couldn’t possibly get any hotter, feeling as if you were burning up with a high fever. You realized you hadn’t said a word back.
“E-excuse me?”
“Wasn’t the cleaning lady going downstairs earlier to mop? I figured you’d know if the floor was still wet. Since your office is on the bottom floor”
Get your mind out of the gutter, y/n. Quick, say something already! Stop staring at him like a lost puppy!
“Uhh no I don’t know actually. I’m sorry, I have to go”
You turned swiftly on your heel to walk away from him, and save yourself from any further embarrassment.
If Donghyuck was here to witness this, you’d never get to hear the end of his teasing.
 ———————————————————
You didn’t expect an email like that from the Sales Department. You were at your desk, minding your business when you got the notification, almost choking on the gum you were chewing on.
 y/n,
I have something very confidential to show you in my office. I think you’ll be very pleasantly surprised. Bring your sexy ass over here at 16:00 sharp.
Johnny Suh
You must have re-read those 30 words about a thousand times to ensure you weren’t making things up. You freshened up your makeup, thanking the gods of sex that you decided to wear cute underwear this morning. All the things you were daydreaming about since your first meetup at the main elevator, were finally about to happen. Fidgeting around in your seat, you felt yourself getting wetter thinking of all the nasty things Mr. Suh was planning on doing to you in his office.
It was 16:25 when you walked up the stairs, not brave enough to make a man like Johnny wait. All his assistants were gone, probably send off somewhere to avoid having them hear your little unprofessional tête-à-tête.
You walked into his office, the door slightly open. He was sat on his chair, the back turned to you and you started to feel nervous. You didn’t notice he had changed his hair. And wasn’t he wearing a different suit this morning?
“Um Johnny? You asked to see me?”
He tsked at you, turning around.
“16:28? I thought you had more of a backbone than that, y/n. Also thought you’d come in here naked. Disappointing.”
The smug smile, the teasing voice. Donghyuck.
“The email was fake wasn’t it?”
“Luckily for you, yes, I was the one who sent it. I mean, seriously. This ugly brown suit for a dick appointment with Mr. Suh?”
When you graduated university with honors, you didn’t think you’d one day be charged with the murder of a company’s assistant. But right at his moment, as you grabbed the stapler from the desk and walked over to him ominously, you thought it was all worth it.
“Lee Donghyuck, after I’m done with you the only dick appointment you’ll make is with the ER doctor, to get these staples off your balls”
He got up, panicking, and started to back away from you.
“Somebody save me, please, mom!”
You were ready to grab him by his tie and fulfill your threat, when you heard someone clear his throat at the door. And this time it was the real Mr. Suh.
He had his arms crossed, a smile appearing on his face as you shoved your friend away and immediately dropped the stapler from your hold.
“You know, you two are always wasting time over here, messing around. Maybe I should punish you”
Oh god yes, please do.
It was Donghyuck’s deadpan expression that made you realize that you had actually said that out loud. Johnny raised his eyebrows incredulously.
“Oh, so you want the overtime?”
“S-sure why not? Not like I have anything better to do on a Friday night”
Your friend rubbed his palm over his face, cringing at the situation you got yourself in.
“Please, stop talking, I beg of you”, he murmured, when Johnny spoke up again.
“Well in that case, will you leave me and y/n alone to discuss some details?”
Donghyuck nodded, closing the door behind him and it seemed like he took all the oxygen along with him.
Johnny sat on his desk, whipping out some files for you. It might sound stupid, but the email, though fake, had put you in a certain mood, and having him sit so close to you wasn’t helping your situation.
“I will only give you the run down but please ask the supervisor in your department to explain further”
You tried listening to him talk about your overtime, you really did. But the way he was sitting on his armchair with his legs spread out, was practically begging you to do what Donghyuck had suggested yesterday and get on your knees already. You’d tell him to continue his work, challenge him to try and keep typing on his laptop as you’d palm him through his slacks. You’d wait for him to get a bit impatient, licking him over his clothed cock until it felt like it would rip from the fabric. He was definitely big, and you wondered whether you could take him. You’d put him in your hand and start sucking on the tip, then lick your way down to his base. Maybe he would have to take a call, and you would make it a goal to distract him by fitting him all inside your mouth, hitting the back of your throat. His little office slut.
“y/n. Get under the desk. Right now.”
His voice brought you out of your daydream but his words triggered another one. It felt like the world around you was shaking. Did he just ask you to get on your knees under the table? Could he read your thoughts? “y/n can’t you feel the earthquake? Get under the desk”
When you realized what was happening, you wished that the earth would just swallow you whole already, taking away the embarrassment with you.
Donghyuck met you outside. He had evacuated the building along with everyone else, happy that the small earthquake got them an extra five minutes of break.
“Did Mr. Suh pick you up in his strong arms like your knight in shining armor and save you?”
“Don’t talk to me I’m still mad at you”
He turned you around to face him, his lips pouting at you cutely and it was really hard to resist his doe eyes.
“I’m sowwyy I was just trying to help you out!”
“Help me out with what?”, you sighed, tuckered out, “he clearly doesn’t want anything more with me”
“Oh yeah? Is that why he hasn’t stopped checking out your ass ever since you left the building with him?”
You turn your head to Johnny’s direction, just in time to see his eyes shift from you and Hyuck to the floor. Maybe your friend was right. Did Johnny actually like you after all but was really just that oblivious to your crush?
“All I’m saying is”, he continues, “that you need to be clearer with him. He is the supervisor of another department than yours, he obviously won’t act out anything unless you give him the green light”
You nodded at him, a feeling of determination coursing through you. His words reverberated in your head until break time, planning out your seduction. You knew that there was no way you would be able to concentrate at work unless you gave it a shot with Johnny, even if it goes terribly wrong. Tomorrow, you promised yourself.
 ——————————————————
And tomorrow did come, finding you right outside his office door. Taking long, confident strides, you walk past Donghyuck who for once, was speechless, eyes widening at your appearance.
Johnny’s favorite skirt hug your hips, garters barely peeking under it. Your shirt was a bit tighter than usual, an extra button undone, revealing your cleavage. The room was filled with the clicking sound of your high heels, that were as uncomfortable as they were sexy. It was barely considered work appropriate but you didn’t care. You hoped you’d manage to at least grab his attention, then let your talking do the rest.
Taking a deep breath, you knock at the door, slowly opening it. Johnny was typing away something, looking delicious as always. Your voice was way more sensual than you’d usually let it be in the workplace.
“Johnnyy~, good morning. I’m here for that file I need?”
He had his eyes still glued on the laptop in front of him, his tone as bright as ever.
“y/n! I would send Donghyuck over you didn’t have to- “
He finally looks at you, his eyes quickly moving from your chest to your skirt, only to stay for a bit longer on your legs. He seemed a bit taken aback, his breath hitching in his throat but he shakes his head lightly, regaining his stature.
“-you didn’t have to come all the way up here”
“I know”, you mewl, picking up a pen from his desk and clicking it closed, letting the tip rest on your bottom lip, “I just missed you”
You saw him stare at your mouth before he cleared his throat, coolly sitting back on his chair.
“I think you’ll take this back when you stay for your overtime tonight”, he laughed, too friendly for your liking.
“No, no. I would never get tired of you, Johnny. Besides, I have a great stamina”
“That’s good! Being mentally strong is very important in this business”
Ugh, take a hint already!
“Well, yeah, but physical strength is important too. You know, I’ve followed your footsteps and started working out. I can go on for hours”
His eyebrows lifted up at your statement, “Yeah? And you followed my footsteps?”
“Well, everyone in the office has noticed you’ve been hitting the gym lately, especially me. Maybe, you could show me some of your workout exercises later?”
He stayed silent for a moment, like he was contemplating his answer and you swore you saw the faintest blush on his cheeks. His answer, however, would disappoint you.
“I was thinking of organizing an online group aerobics class, actually. I think Yuta from my department might be interested in hosting it”
The feeling of defeat was written all over your face. You were done. Smiling politely, you told him it sounded like a nice idea and asked for the file. You felt so angry at yourself for listening to Hyuck’s advice, every painful jab your heels gave your feet seeming deserving.
Donghyuck saw you leaving the room and would follow you to comfort you but he fully understood your frustration. Since you left the door open, he had witnessed everything, and boy was he furious.
He barged into Johnny’s office unannounced, scowling at him. Boss or not, he had to give him a piece of his mind.
“Are you seriously that blind?”
Johnny blinked at him, surprised at his unexpected appearance.
“Excuse me?”
“Are you seriously telling me you didn’t get that y/n was flirting with you?”
“R-right now?”
Donghyuck licked his cheek with his tongue, getting gradually more and more frustrated. “Yes! Right now! The hottest woman in the office was basically throwing herself all over you and you didn’t even ask her out?”
Johnny was shocked, fumbling for an answer, “I thought- I thought she was just being nice”
“Nice??”, the younger man screeched then took a deep breath to calm down, placing both his hands on his boss’s desk.
“With all due respect dude, but either you fuck her, or I will”
 ———————————————————
Nothing could make the horrible feeling you felt from your embarrassing incident earlier worse right? Wrong. Because it was Friday and you still had to go through with that overtime you had stupidly agreed with.
All your coworkers from your floor were gone, no one crazy enough to willingly work on a Friday night. You saw them all leave one by one, internally cursing them for their luck. The office was especially hot tonight and you were suddenly glad for choosing that skimpy outfit to wear today, even if it didn’t fulfill its original purpose.
In your deep concentration over the files scattered on your desk, you almost didn’t notice the shadow next to your office’s door. You could recognize these broad shoulders from miles away.
“Johnny, you didn’t go home yet?”
“I’ll leave soon, just wanted to give you some tips your supervisor noted for the work you’ll do tonight”
He smiled warmly at you, but his eyes held something you hadn’t seen before. Slyness, mischief maybe? You didn’t have much time to think about it anyways, because in a moment he was standing over you, next to your desk.
“You see, the loss of this week’s sales…”, he started, lifting the sleeves of his shirt up and revealing his veiny arms that you so adored, “...it’s much bigger than you think”
You gulped, your throat suddenly dry. His voice was deep, seductive, eyes staring right into yours.
“Y-Yeah?”
“Yes. Doing all this paperwork, it’s very… hard. And it’s so hot in here, right?”
He kept his gaze on you, loosening the tie he wore around his neck. Was this your mind playing games with you again? You weren’t sure but he looked so good you couldn’t help your body from responding to him.
You got up from your seat, resting the side of your ass on the desk to be closer to his height. “If I got it right, you suggest that maybe you need to stay around for a bit? Help me out?”
He nodded, coming closer to you. You couldn’t stop gawking at the way his chest filled up his shirt so nicely, not caring if you were being obvious anymore. He was standing almost between your legs, and you could feel his breath fanning your face.
“It’s going to be tiring, but if you follow my orders you’ll get to finish. Think you can take it?”
Was it his suggestive words or his plump lips that made you feel so lightheaded? Either way, you wanted to dive in, to finally taste him. But you just had to ask.
“Johnny?”
“That’s my name”
“We aren’t talking about finance, are we?”
He stepped even closer, situating himself between your thighs that you gladly opened for him.
“Fuck no”
The way your hands grabbed him by the neck and pulled him into a kiss, was almost animalistic. Johnny kissed you back with almighty force, open mouthed and breathing heavily. With the dominance that characterized him and a bite on your bottom lip, he pulls you up on your feet by the ID that was hanging from your neck. He tasted like smoke and mint gum.
“I thought you’d quit smoking?”
You felt his right hand grab your throat and he broke the kiss, forcing you to look at him. It wasn’t the pressure to your air flow but his eyes that had you on edge. The usual golden flecks adorning his orbs were hidden behind his dilated pupils. “I’m just a man. There are some things I can’t resist”. He dipped his tongue into your mouth, making you feel like you’re in a fever dream with the way all your fantasies were coming to life. “Open up”, he growled against your lips and you obey like you promised to. He spit in your mouth, in a manner so dirty it had your knees shaking.
You started unbuttoning his shirt, wanting to see more of him. Starting with running your hands over his raging heartbeat, you continue down his abs and end up fumbling with his belt. Johnny helped you, springing out his cock and, damn, he may be half hard but that was the biggest dick you’d ever seen in your life.
He chuckles at your widened eyes but instead of making some cocky remark like you expected he leans down, leaving soothing kisses on your jaw. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you”. He continued his kisses to your neck, all the while unbuttoning your shirt. Leaving it on you, he pulls your boobs over your bra and starts playing with your nipples. The tingling on your breasts was tightly linked it the one on your heat and you decided you needed more.
You took his fingers from your chest and placed them between your folds. Johnny cursed out with how wet you were for him, and started rubbing circles over your clit, occasionally dipping the tips in your entrance. He kept at it, relishing in your moans and he would have ripped his tight little skirt off of you if you were in his bedroom. The build up sexual tension along with the semi-public setting made you close to losing yourself in him. You just needed a push, and Johnny was more than happy to give it to you.
“You’re gonna cum for me. That’s what you wanted wasn’t it? Why you got all dressed up like that?”
“Yes, for you, fuck Johnny”
“Come on, let it all out. Cum so I can fuck the hell out of this tight pussy of yours”
You came all over his fingers, grabbing his arms for support. He gave you a moment, wiping the tears off the corners of your eyes while kissed you slowly. When you started kissing him back with a refuelled passion, signalling that you were ready for what he had to offer, he was back, rougher than ever.
He petted your pussy, collecting your wetness and spreading it all over your folds. You jumped up when you felt him slap over your clit, the lines between pain and pleasure from the overstimulation blurry.
You knew Johnny was strong, but the easiness with which he lifted you from the desk onto your armchair shocked you. Spreading your knees as wide as the cushioned seat allowed you, you stuck your ass out for him. He gave your ass a little slap while you waited for him to slip on a condom. He came prepared, you thought, probably planned on doing this from the moment he stepped into your office.
Johnny filled you up completely, your hypersensitivity making you feel his thickness in all its glory. He started off slow, careful of your tightness, but as he picked up the pace, your vision was all stars and constellations of pleasure. You must have moaned too loudly, because he stopped his thrusts and, in a moment, you felt him shove his tie inside your mouth.
“There’s still some people in the building, remember? Or do you like my cock so much that you don’t even care if they hear?”. You couldn’t muster an answer so you just kept drooling through the fabric your teeth bit into. Your pussy was dripping onto the leather, your wetness allowing Johnny to sink even deeper inside you. The feeling was so overwhelming that you opened your mouth wide in a moan, almost dropping his tie in the process.
You reached out your hand behind you to grab one of his arms in desperation. “I’m so close, so close, don’t stop”. He stared back at you with a crazy look on his face, and pinned your hand back on the headrest in front of you. Lifting one of your legs in the air, he starts fucking you so rough you thought the chair was going to break.
Your second orgasm hit you hard, your trembling body making it clear his size got too much for you. But there was no way you’d let him leave this office without cumming.
You climb down from the chair and got on your knees in front of him. Grasping his cock from the base, you started leaving open mouthed kisses on his balls first. You suck one in your mouth and glance up at him with the most innocent look you could muster, the contrast to your actions driving him insane. Johnny leans his weight on his hands positioned on your desk, letting you work your magic.
Returning on his tip, you ran your tongue in kitten licks on the slit, teasing him. An eyebrow raise from him compelled you to behave, pushing him all the way down at once. It was almost as if you pressed a button at the end of your throat with the way it triggered a guttural moan from him. He weaves one hand through your hair to keep you in place for a second longer and you gag. His dick pulls out, and the string of saliva falls over your white shirt making the fabric look see through. The sight of your lipstick on him, your watery doe eyes and your nipples poking through your now wet shirt was divine. He pushed past your lips again, and this time you made a good use of your tongue. You quicken your pace, his shaky groans and sharp gasps letting you know he was nearing his release.
Grabbing both his flexed thighs, you concentrate your breathing though your nose and deepthroat him again. Johnny growls, hips stuttering and eyes fluttered closed in delight. Warm liquid runs down your throat, almost choking you, but you take it all, relishing in his grunts and the way he moans your name.
After you catch your breath he bends down, planting a gentle kiss on your lips and offers a hand to help you up. You buttoned up in an awkward silence, not exactly sure what should be said after a session like that in a place like this.
“So, I’m guessing Donghyuck told you about my little crush on you?”
“Yup. You should thank him”. He smiles at you sweetly, pinching your cheek lightly and then moving his thumb in circles over the skin. “You also should have told me”
You rolled your eyes, “Not like I haven’t tried to! How much more obvious did I have to be?”
“I’m sorry! It’s just- you’re so pretty and I didn’t wanna be another one of the creepy guys that probably hit on you in the workplace”
Smiling at his thoughtfulness, you chose to forgive him and reached up for another kiss. He engulfs you with his long arms, and you push some hair off his eyes, admiring their softness.
“How about, I let you finish up here and we go for dinner after you’re done?”
“I’m not sure how I’m gonna concentrate after what we did”
“I’ll cover for you, but I can’t promise you that I’ll stop myself from distracting you”

Hey Jaya!
Since you're 28, I guess you have job?
So, how did you get a job
And is it the job you were trying to get, like, is it what you wanted when you were in your college years?
Sincerely,
A worried college student
Hi!!
When I got my first job, it took a lot of applications. But the first thing I told my parents after graduation was that I was taking a month off. I’d been through so much stress and everything and I told them to give me a month break and then I’d throw myself into job searching. And that really helped reset my head!
Neither my job then nor my job now align with my major but honestly most people don’t find jobs within the exact field they studied in nowadays. I did a lot of college recruiting at the companies I worked for and many are just looking to see that you completed a degree (shows you have a set of skills and ability to learn and work with others, meet a deadline, etc) and did it well, which is why I push so hard for majoring in something you’re passionate about that you’ll do well with. A higher GPA can look more impressive for the job you’re applying for than the major itself.
Also if you’re willing to relocate, your chances of finding a job you like go up 1000%. If you’re young and you can afford it (many companies give a relocation bonus too) then do it. Most people I know my age are working in a different state than they grew up in/went to school in and I don’t know anyone who fully regrets it. You learn a lot, including independence and financial management, it helps you grow up a ton.
So don’t worry about trying to find something exactly in your field. Find something you wouldn’t mind doing, especially for your first job. Something that uses your strengths and hopefully a company that’s willing to invest in you through training and such. Once you have one professional (post-college) job on your resume then that becomes the main focal point from then on, so any future jobs will focus more on your work than what you did at school. For that reason you want to find a first job that’ll really help you grow, learn to work in a professional environment, and give you diverse experiences.
Once you start looking for jobs, commit to it. Looking for work is a job in itself. You might have to submit 100s of applications — don’t let that get you down. My biggest tips would be to take advantage of any resumé help being offered, to do practice interviews so you become comfortable with it, and to stay organized.
1) Make multiple versions of your resume depending on the fields you applied for. I was applying for recruiting, analyst, and marketing roles, primarily, and I had different resumes for each of those fields. I fine tuned them to show off specific skills for each field, highlighting certain functions or leadership roles that aligned with the job. Look at examples online and play around with your formatting. Your resume for your first job shouldn’t be more than one page — most recruiters won’t even look past the first page, so only keep what’s important. But don’t forget that you can adjust margins and reduce font size to make everything fit.
1a) I can’t stand cover letters but you’ll probably need them. Look at examples to make sure it looks like you want it to and make a template that you can easily fill out for each application so you don’t have to spend too much time on it. But again, you can make specific versions depending on what kinds of jobs you’re applying for. And always proofread before you send to make sure you have the right company and job mentioned on there!!
2) Do practice interviews with anyone you can. You need to become familiar with the pressure and situation. Get your family, friends, professors, counselors, anyone that’s willing to help to do it. Before you sit down for an interview, write out all the questions you think they might ask and practice your responses!! This really helps! It’ll make you sound more confident and prepared as well. Also always have at least one question to ask the recruiter. Ask them about what they like about the company, or what challenges they’ve faced and overcome in their role, something like that.
2a) I know this seems obvious but dress up for the interviews, even if it’s remote. It shows that you’re putting in effort. If you’re remote then make sure you have good lighting & a plain/non-distracting background. Keep your phone on silent and stay engaged when they’re speaking.
3) Make a spreadsheet to keep track of where you applied, when you did it, who you talked to, etc. Track which resume/cover letter you used as well and what kind of job it is. ALWAYS SEND A THANK YOU EMAIL RIGHT AFTER THE INTERVIEW. This makes an impression and keeps you on their mind. When it comes to following up, I think a week is a decent time to send an email out. If you don’t get a reply then, send another follow up in a couple weeks. Past that if they don’t reply (sucky of them tbh) then I’d assume you didn’t get the job. But that’s fine! Keep going at it!
3a) Don’t be afraid to fight for your pay. It can be really anxiety inducing and stressful but especially if you see a similar job pay more than the job you’re applying for, you have every right to request more pay. DON’T say yes to the first salary offered — that was a mistake I made. It never hurts to give a higher salary request, you’ll almost always get an offer higher than what they initially started with.
Lastly, don’t be disheartened. Just because you didn’t get a job doesn’t mean you won’t get a similar one or another one within the same company. Honestly I used to just sit and apply for every open relevant position in a company if the company was good because that makes a big difference. Keep your morale up. It never hurts to apply, even if you’re underqualified. You never know. Be confident in your skills!
And I’ll also say, this may not be something everyone can find or be picky about, but if you can find a job that has good benefits, if the company is great, go for it. Put as much as you can into your retirement — if you can, commit to the max percentage, especially if your company matches your contribution. If they give you insurance, take advantage of it. Go for dental and vision checkups, visit your doctor. Don’t put this off until you lose it. Take advantage of EVERYTHING your company offers. Trainings, expos, employee groups, etc. These all help develop your professional experience.
I hope this helps!!
Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any other questions! Good luck & I believe in you!!

Of Lesser Men Imagine yourself in school. You are 8 years old and it is recess time. You look for your friends, for the boys it is baseball or football, and the natural leaders set up teams and it begins. This is humanity, from its roots as hunter-gatherers so many hundreds of thousands of years ago, this is the natural order of things. Then, some would not survive. Guile and weakness was seldom rewarded. With the onset of “civilization” that changed. Where, at one time, the natural leaders became royalty or nobility, the need to pass on power though lineage went awry and these bloodlines through inbreeding and degeneration became the Deep State, physical weaklings, moral reprobates, tasked with selecting more of the same and moving them into positions of authority. The goal has been division, entropy, suffering, and managing the expectations of those of promise, pushing them into piracy, banditry or killing them in wars. Thus, when we find ourselves, even the strongest of us, the best of the best as it were, subject to rule by our lessers, “under the thumb” of those who, as children, we shunned as cowardly or vile, why do we recoil in surprise? What was left runs Washington, London and Paris, other capitols as well, the “lesser men,” damaged, confused, inferior, pushed up the ladder, the chosen people, a class of “Untermensch.” America’s ruling elite, when examined, for the most part resemble a form of reverse Darwinism. We are going to be calling the comic tragedy of the Muller investigation what it really is, “MuellerGate.” Any possibility that there was ever an investigation of anything intended is gone but the real reasons might well startle all but the most paranoid or well-informed watchers. What began as RussiaGate is playing out as not just fakery, but a complex and well-crafted intelligence operation intended to destabilize both the United State and Russia with full complicity of the press, those who control the press from the inside. It was always not only a wrong assumption by insane as well to assume that somehow, the controlled corporate media, would declare war on a presidency that has been so friendly to the oil industry, Wall Street, big polluters and the big pharma “poisoners.” The only other force handling this much cash is the CIA/Deep State worldwide heroin ring run out of Afghanistan and Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo, with the help of well known and powerful American families, names very much like Romney, Bush and Walton, according to an FBI whistleblower who came forward in 2012. When Mueller investigators interrogated me in 2018, I brought the debriefing recordings with me and offered to play them. It nearly cleared the room. Here is what is playing out as of mid-April, 2019: Democrats who control congress are planning to subpoena the entire Mueller Report and to question both Mueller and Barr. Legal experts are saying that only a preliminary impeachment process provides needed statutory authority for this effort. The public, perhaps a majority approaching 60%, is hanging on this drama, waiting to “get Donald Trump” as though he were a masked villain in a fake professional wrestling match, which of course he is. What has been purposefully forgotten is that both Mueller and Barr are “lesser men.” Both, according to sources, were CIA recruits early in life. During Vietnam, the CIA began profiling a new generation to carry them past their roots. The CIA’s roots are Nazi Germany’s Abwehr. Their profile included intellectual ability combined with a bevy of negative traits including social psychopathy, feelings of inferiority and intense guilt, and a powerful need for approval and affirmation from authority figures. Two of my good friends, one a senior Army intelligence officer and the other a high-ranking FBI official, both “the best of the best” tried to get into the CIA and were turned away. They weren’t crazy enough. According to sources, both Barr and Mueller were “crazy enough” and for 4 decades or more, have been close personal friends while operating in and out of the corridors of power on behalf of what is now termed the Deep State. Similarly, Mueller and Comey as FBI directors were close friends. Remember, it was Comey that only days before the 2016 election put out highly derogatory and utterly unnecessary statements about the Clinton email case. That case, of course, was a fabrication of a GOP congress that spent endless millions concerned about “classified emails” that, thus far, were utterly without substance. Moreover, anything from the State Department that a Secretary of State wants to make pubic or declassify, has the full authority to do as the President does the same for the White House. Trump does this continually. Before that it was the phony Benghazi investigation and before that, Hillary Clinton was accused of personally murdering Vince Foster. Let us not forget the Clinton impeachment and the role of Kenneth Starr as prosecutor. Starr was a longtime acolyte of Richard Mellon Scaife, a typical James Bond bad guy, scion of one of the biggest Deep State banking families who simply bought Starr and spent millions hiring thugs of various kinds to smear the Clintons. Starr had been promised a seat on the US Supreme Court if he got Clinton. He failed but his “man,” Brett Kavanaugh, now holds a seat on the high court as a surrogate, we are told, for failed and disgraced Ken Starr. A key to understanding the dynamic is knowing that everything the public sees or is allowed to see is scripted. Comey went after Clinton not to damage or influence the election but to create the appearance of doing so while, as had happened in 2000 and 2004, Deep State operatives working with local election officials, literally thousands of them, simply hacked the election count. This has been investigated, studied and written of so many times and is forgotten and shelved. Everyone is complicit. Past that, every candidate is always from the same pool, either hopelessly insane like Trump or Bush 43 or deeply flawed or crippled like Bill Clinton or Barak Obama. When someone different sneaks in like Jimmie Carter, the answer is simple. The Federal Reserve cuts off the money supply, collapsing the economy and the CIA stages a coup in Iran in order to move Reagan in. Part of America’s suppressed history is the truth about Reagan, BCCI, Iran Contra and the collapse of America’s industrial economy, all done while America’s middle class disappeared. This was no accident. MuellerGate is a critical component of a “lesser man” ploy. Mueller and Barr, we assume, are in continual contact as they are constant companions, lifelong companions, who have planned and executed Deep State operations over and over during their careers. Barr exists to fabricate childishly absurd legal opinions. Read one of them. His early letter on the RussiaGate investigation, castigating his best friend Robert Mueller as dangerously incompetent, is classic deception and cover. Then, lo and behold, Mueller finishes an investigation that takes forever. The nation focuses on little else while everything that can be broken or stolen in the nation is broken and stolen. There are 3 White Houses, one in New York at Trump Tower, now a Secret Service protected home for the headquarters of the Kosher Nostra while at Mar-a-Lago, Chinese billionaires are buying America on the cheap. The White House in Washington is now “Tel Aviv on the Potomac.” Making it all work is the three-act play staged by the worst actors in the world, villain Donald Trump, Nancy Pelosi of the fake left, and a cast of thousands. It was evident what was going to happen from the get go with the public sucked in the Mueller drama, taking it all seriously, while the GOP’s control of the Senate and the generalized agreement that a sitting president cannot be indicted. In fact, there is no such provision in the constitution whatsoever. The legal concept is the creation of now sitting Federal District Judge Raymond Moss, written in 2000 at the behest of then Attorney General Janet Reno. Was Reno expecting Bill Clinton to start murdering White House visitors on live television? That is, perhaps, the only rationale for a legal opinion that has entrained itself as a keystone of Deep State security. This is from Lawrence Tribe, perhaps the nation’s leading authority on the constitution: In a recent opinion piece, I argued that the text and structure of the Constitution, a serious commitment to the rule of law, and plain good sense combine to preclude a rigid policy of “delaying any indictment of a president for crimes committed in winning the presidency.” My op-ed argued against the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) memos opining that the Constitution prevents the indictment of a sitting president. Nearly everyone concedes that any such policy would have to permit exceptions. The familiar hypothetical of a president who shoots and kills someone in plain view clinches the point. Surely, there must be an exception for that kind of case: Having to wait until the House of Representatives impeaches the alleged murderer and the Senate removes him from office before prosecuting and sentencing him would be crazy. Nobody seriously advocates applying the OLC mantra of “no indictment of a sitting president” to that kind of case. The same is true for any number of other cases that come readily to mind. Among those, in my view, must be the not-so-hypothetical case of a president who turns out to have committed serious crimes as a private citizen in order to win the presidency. Whether the president committed such crimes in collusion with a shady group of private collaborators or did so in conspiracy with one or more foreign adversaries, it should not be necessary for the House to decide that such pre-inaugural felonies were impeachable offenses and for the Senate to convict and remove the officeholder before putting him in the dock as an alleged felon and meting out justice.” Conclusion Are people like May or Macron or Trump little more than circus clowns? Is everything scripted, where the chance of peace breaking out, of justice and righteousness infecting the absurd global processes inoculated against? Are the current moves around the world to criminalize expression of these very thoughts an indication of how blatant and egregious the lesser men have become?

Advice (Pt.2)
So this is the next part to Lost! This was also posted on archive for anyone who is interested!
Warnings:angst
Mark wasn’t used to being alone. Since Donghyuck and Jaemin had gotten together, Mark had been closed off.
After graduation, he had stripped his room bare, leaving only the essentials. Photos of him and his friends were thrown into a box - they didn’t talk anymore. His room was quite plain now, but it didn’t remind him of anyone.
Mark took a year long break, working two jobs to stay busy. He was a cashier at a clothing store called “Vanity”, and worked part-time with his father, who was a mechanic. He made sure he always had something to do so he didn’t have time to think - he didn’t want to be reminded of his loss.
During his break, he’d applied for a few universities. He’d not had the intentions of actually going, until one he was truly interested in got back to him with an acceptance letter. He started looking forward to going back to school, and having a change of schedule. He wanted to major in engineering - if he could keep his grades up.
To Mark’s misfortune, he had to stay on campus. He didn’t have the funds to get himself an apartment in the town, and he didn’t know anyone that he could split rent with. Mark was quickly assigned a roommate, the email he received telling him so. The guy was in his second year, and his name was Kim Jungwoo.
Jungwoo seemed nice enough. He’d taken the time to message Mark, introducing himself, and saying that he was “looking forward to meeting”.
Mark thought that they would get along well enough to not be awkward, but he couldn’t see them getting close. He didn’t think that anyone would reach the same level that Donghyuck did.
***
Mark arrived on campus alone. He refused to let his mother come, knowing that she would get emotional - he didn’t want to be embarrassed in front of his new roommate.
After collecting his keys, he brought his few boxes inside, and began to unpack. The room was small, but well lit. The afternoon sun shone brightly through their window, illuminating the room. It was furnished with two beds, that could be stacked into one bunk bed if they chose, two desks, and two dressers. Just enough for the both of them.
Jungwoo showed up an hour later. Mark heard the keys jingling in the door, and turned away from his dresser to open it for the older boy.
He was greeted by a stack of boxes. Jungwoo stumbled inside, letting them flop onto the bed with a sigh. He quickly perked up and turned around, facing Mark. “Nice to meet you. I’m Jungwoo.”
Mark took Jungwoo’s outstretched hand and shook it. Jungwoo smiled, turning away to start unpacking, beginning to question Mark about things, saying he wanted to get to know him better. Mark willingly answered the questions, and asked a few of his own. He found out that Jungwoo loved animals, was majoring in linguistics, and was a pretty alright singer. Their personalities were really quite similar. Mark thought that they would get along.
“Do you have any friends going here?” Jungwoo asked, as he continued folding his clothes and stuffing them into his dresser.
Mark swallowed, hating the reminder. “No, I don’t know anyone here.”
Jungwoo turned around, smiling cheekily. “Well consider me your first friend then.”
Mark laughed, but nodded, appreciating the gesture. He certainly could use someone to talk to at least, and who better than the person he would be sharing a room with every night? He worried that Jungwoo might get tired of him, but for now, he would take what he could get. He was just nervous about opening up to anyone.
“Wanna go to meal hall? I’m starving,” Jungwoo said, interrupting his thoughts.
Mark nodded, grabbed his keys, and followed Jungwoo out of the room. Maybe this year wouldn’t be as bad as he thought.
***
The first few weeks went by fast. Mark and Jungwoo’s schedules didn’t match up, but Jungwoo made the effort to speak to Mark nightly, asking about his day. Mark appreciated Jungwoo’s attentiveness - it made him feel like someone cared about him.
Mark was often willing to tell Jungwoo just about anything. He’d become someone that Mark liked to confide in. At least with present day issues. He didn’t like bringing up his past, and Jungwoo never pushed him too.
Mark thought that Jungwoo was pretty open with him too. Jungwoo was always talking about how much he hated his homework, or how he thought someone in his class was pretty.
Mark ended up trusting Jungwoo so much that he was the first person he properly came out to. And Jungwoo was supportive. Whenever Mark had doubts about anything, Jungwoo would listen to his worries, and give him the best advice he could. Mark needed someone like that.
One night, after the room had gone silent, Mark scrolled through his Instagram feed, liking celebrities photos, and some from old friends. He came across one from Donghyuck’s profile. “Can’t believe it’s been ten months with you. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Mark frowned, scrolling past the photo without liking it, because he didn’t want to give Donghyuck the satisfaction of another like.
He’d wanted to forget about him, but every time he got close, something like this happened. Mark shut his phone off, and laid down in his bed, letting out a quiet sniffle. His quiet sniffles turned into muffled cries, and soon Jungwoo was peeking down from the top bunk (which they had made the first day there) and asking if he was alright.
Mark answered with a quiet yes, but knew that Jungwoo didn’t believe him. Mark soon saw Jungwoo’s feet on the ladder, and sat up, feeling bad for disturbing him. “I didn’t mean to wake you…” he mumbled.
“I wasn’t asleep yet. What’s up…?” Jungwoo asked, sitting on the edge of Mark’s bed.
Mark shrugged, not even sure where to begin. He didn’t know how to tell him that he still missed Donghyuck, and how much everything hurt without going through the entire story - he didn’t want to relive it.
“Take your time. I’m not gonna go away until I know that you’re alright.”
“Jungwoo…”
“I mean it Mark. You’re my friend and I care about you. I want to go to sleep knowing that you will also be sleeping well.”
Mark nodded, looking down at his hands. “Well, uhm…” he started, unsure of how to phrase his thoughts. He pulled up the photo of Donghyuck and Jaemin, scooting closer to Jungwoo to show him. “This one, on the right, was my best friend. He left me alone for this guy,” he continued, pointing at Jaemin. “He stopped talking to me after they got together.”
Jungwoo’s arm wrapped across Mark’s shoulders, pulling him into a hug. Mark sniffled, taking a breath before confiding in Jungwoo, telling him how he really felt about Donghyuck, and how he missed his chance. He appreciated how Jungwoo stayed, even with the close contact. He could feel Jungwoo’s hand, gently rubbing his shoulder, and it comforted him.
As he found himself calming down and getting tired, Jungwoo laid down with him, promising not to leave until he knew that Mark was in a deep sleep.
Jungwoo fell asleep first, and Mark woke with the boy still by his side.
*** Mark and Jungwoo’s interactions didn’t change in public. But behind the closed door of their room, late night talks became more common, and Jungwoo often fell asleep on the bottom bunk.
Mark didn’t mind. He enjoyed Jungwoo’s presence, whether they be talking, or sitting in silence and watching a movie. He found himself finishing his homework earlier, so he could have more time with Jungwoo. He didn’t want to admit it to himself, but he was starting to think that he might see Jungwoo as more than just a roommate, more than just a friend.
He found himself paying more attention to Jungwoo - from how he dressed to how softly he spoke. Mark thought that Jungwoo genuinely cared for him, in at least a friend way. He sometimes worried than when the school year ended Jungwoo would forget about him. But it was only November, and he pushed those thoughts away.
Jungwoo had introduced Mark to other people on campus. Mark could comfortably say he had at least five friends now, but he only saw Jungwoo as a close friend. Maybe even his best friend. He’d opened up faster than he had expected to, but he didn’t regret it. He was happier than he’d been in the last two years.
Mark would be lying if he said he didn’t miss Donghyuck anymore. The younger boy still appeared on his feed from time to time, and it still hurt seeing him with others, having seemingly forgotten about Mark. Mark had taken to social media himself, convincing Jungwoo and some of their other friends to take photos with him. He wanted to show that he could be happy too (and have his mother stop pestering him about making new friends).
***
Johnny, one of their friends, invited Mark and Jungwoo to a party. Mark wasn’t really a party person, but Jungwoo had begged him to go, so Mark agreed. He didn’t want to risk Jungwoo being upset with him.
Jungwoo helped Mark figure out what to wear -  black skinnies with a band tee. Something simple, but Jungwoo told Mark he looked cute, so Mark was certain that he would do alright. Jungwoo had donned a grey button up shirt, with a tight pair of jeans. Mark thought he looked stunning.
Jungwoo led Mark to the dorm that was hosting the party, them each paying two dollars to get in. Mark hoped that Jungwoo would stay nearby. He didn’t think he’d stick around if not. Jungwoo grabbed his hand, leading him through the crowd, towards the drinks that someone had generously supplied.
Jungwoo grabbed himself one, before offering one to Mark. Mark accepted, knowing that he would be sipping on it all night - he wasn’t a big drinker, but one drink wouldn’t hurt. Jungwoo on the other hand, had already picked up another drink before Mark had even taken his first sip. Mark realized now that he would be babysitting most of the night. He wanted to make sure that Jungwoo would get home safe.
Jungwoo socialized, and Mark fell in step behind him, eventually giving up and falling into a chair, keeping his eyes on Jungwoo. He didn’t want to follow him everywhere, but he wanted to make sure he made it back to the dorm in one piece.
Jungwoo was currently talking to a third year. He was tall, with dark hair and sparkling eyes. Mark was jealous, but he knew it wasn’t up to him to interrupt unless Jungwoo looked uncomfortable. Mark didn’t like watching, so he turned his attention away to place his now half empty drink on the table behind him. When he turned back around, Jungwoo was gone. Mark frowned, standing to look for the boy, only to have a pair of arms slink around him.
“Dance with me…?” the voice slurred.
“Jungwoo, you’re drunk.”
“We can still dance…”
Mark sighed, turning around to face the older boy. He wasn’t much of a dancer, but he would do just about anything for Jungwoo. “One dance. And then we go home okay? You have classes tomorrow.”
Jungwoo nodded, taking Mark’s hand and pulling him into a more open area. Mark let Jungwoo lead, uncertain with his own actions. He was shocked when Jungwoo pulled him close, their bodies touching. Whenever he had gone to dances before, he would be with Donghyuck, and they never got this close. Something was definitely different about this.
A fast song was playing, but Jungwoo still rested his head on Mark’s shoulder. Mark didn’t know if he was supposed to interact in a certain way, but Jungwoo seemed content as they were. They swayed softly to the music, Jungwoo sometimes looking up and smiling at Mark, making his heart flutter.
Mark definitely liked Jungwoo.
The song (which ended up being six minutes long) finally ended, and Mark peeled Jungwoo off his shoulder, taking his hand. “We’re gonna head home now, okay?”
Jungwoo hummed in response, following Mark through the crowd and outside. The air was cold, and Jungwoo clung to Mark, shivering.
“We’ll be there in just a minute…” Mark mumbled as they walked through the courtyard.
“You looked really good tonight…”
Mark ignored his comment, not wanting to get his hopes up and believe him while he was intoxicated. He instead pulled his keys out of his pocket, hurrying the boy to their dorm and let them in. He helped Jungwoo up the stairs and to their dorm. As soon as the door was open, Jungwoo slipped past him and climbed into Mark’s bed.
Mark chuckled, slipping his shoes off, then sitting on the edge of the bed. He removed Jungwoo’s shoes and placed them in the corner of the room before pulling the blanket over his roommate, knowing that the boy was cold. He stood again, planning to go to the top bunk so that Jungwoo could have his space, but was quickly pulled back down. He looked over at the older boy, smiling as Jungwoo moved the blanket so it was covering the both of them.
“Get some rest...you have class tomorrow…” Mark mumbled.
Jungwoo nodded, pulling Mark into a tight hug. Mark returned the embrace. “I meant what I said you know. You looked really nice.”
Mark blushed, hiding his face in Jungwoo’s shoulder. “I don’t believe you…” he mumbled.
“Well you should.”
“Tell me again when you’re sober.”
“I will.”
Mark smiled, letting himself settle in beside Jungwoo. He hoped the older boy meant it.
***
Jungwoo didn’t seem to remember the events of that night. Mark didn’t want to show that he was disappointed, so he tried to pretend that nothing had happened.
When another party rolled around, Jungwoo yet again tried to convince Mark to go. But Mark insisted on staying home, saying that he had homework, and wasn’t feeling well. Jungwoo had frowned but said “I’ll be back in an hour or two”.
Mark nodded, pulling out his phone, hesitantly pulling up Donghyuck’s number. He wanted to confess to Jungwoo, but he didn’t know how to. And the only person he knew that had dealt with this before was Donghyuck.
“Can I ask you a question?” he texted, nervous for a response. He hadn’t spoken to Donghyuck in almost a year now.
He got a reply faster than he expected. “Yeah, what’s up?”
“How did you or Jaemin confess? I really like someone, and I don’t know how to tell them.” Mark was careful with his wording. He’d never properly come out to Donghyuck.
“Well, Jaemin told me while we were out for coffee one day but there’s no promising what will work for you. What’s she like?”
Mark looked at the text, hesitant about replying. “He’s my roommate… really quite kind, uhm, kind of quiet?”
“Oh shit man I had no idea, uh, maybe just bring it up casually while your doing homework or something? Take him off guard?”
“Maybe. I’m just nervous. I don’t want to make our living situation awkward.”
“Are you guys close? Like as friends?”
“I’d like to think so.”
“Then I think you’ll be fine. If he sees you as at least a close friend, no matter the outcome he’ll make sure you feel comfortable around him still.”
“Thanks Donghyuck… sorry again about last year…”
“Don’t worry about it man. Let me know how it goes!”
“I will.” Mark sighed, putting his phone down. Did Donghyuck actually care how it went? Perhaps. Maybe he’d be able to reconcile their relationship. He missed having Donghyuck around, even just as a friend. Mark knew he was head over heels for Jungwoo, and that wouldn’t change if Donghyuck came back into his life.
He just had to figure out how to tell Jungwoo.
***
He decided to take Donghyuck’s advice. Mark was scared, afraid of Jungwoo’s reaction, but he knew he had to get it off his chest.
Christmas break was coming up, so if things went badly, they’d both have some time alone to figure out their feelings.
Mark was busy typing out his final term paper when Jungwoo walked into the room. “How’d the test go?” he asked, looking up.
Jungwoo looked frustrated, and just shook his head. Mark frowned, stood up and walked over, pulling Jungwoo into a hug. “I’m sure you did better than you think.” Mark pulled away from the hug, offering his roommate a smile before returning to his essay. He’d wait until Jungwoo started working to drop the bomb.
The elder boy slipped into his desk, opening his laptop and signing in. Mark tried his hardest to focus on his paper, wanting to let there be some silence before he spoke. But he found he couldn’t wait long.
“Jungwoo, can I tell you something?”
“Hmm?” Jungwoo paused, looking up from his computer.
Mark tensed, wishing that Jungwoo would’ve continued looking at his screen, but he knew that Jungwoo was too attentive for that. He let out a shaky breath, causing a look of worry to flash on Jungwoo’s face.
“It’s nothing bad, I just don’t know how to say it.” he mumbled. “I just, I think I really like you and I’ve been wanting to tell you for a while now, ever since you told me I looked nice at the party, but I’ve never confessed to anyone before, or been with anyone before and-”
“Hey,” Jungwoo interrupted.
Mark’s gaze shot up to look Jungwoo in the eye. Was he going to be told he was stupid? That Jungwoo was totally not interested and that he was silly for thinking that he could be?
“I like you too.” Jungwoo said quietly, shyly turning back to his computer.
Mark smiled, a blush forming on his cheeks.
“Really?”
“Yes, really. Now finish your homework so we can go to bed. I don’t have to worry as much about being clingy now.”
Mark let out a giggle, turning back to his screen, hurrying to spit out the rest of his essay. He’d have to thank Donghyuck for the advice.
But for tonight, he’d just appreciate Jungwoo. And the fact that he wasn’t alone anymore.

Friends With Benefits: Bill Skarsgard... Chapter 6
Tumblr media
The next few days passed in a blur and things with Bill were different, a nice different.
He was so invested in me and even kept his word, he didn't push me to talk about what happened on the hill top, he was waiting for me to be ready and bring it up myself.
This morning I'd awoken to him pushing the hair from my face and placing a lingering kiss on my temple.
My eyes fluttered open and I was met with the sight of Bill leaning over the bed, I smiled sleepily at him and I lifted myself up to lean against the headboard, holding the sheets to my chest.
I was so tired from the last few days on set that I'd slept through the night and not even felt Bill get up or heard him get ready.
"Where are you going?" I asked, looking him up and down.
"I have a meeting."
He was clad in a fitted black shirt that was tucked into slim, dark grey trousers that were fastened with a black belt and his hair was gelled into place.
I bit my lip and looked up at him through my eyelashes.
"Don't." He warned, narrowing his eyes.
I tilted my head at him and smiled innocently, before pulling him down onto the bed with me and pushing him onto his back.
I dropped all the sheets around me and climbed on top of him, straddling him and pinning his arms by his head.
He groaned but watched as my breasts bounced and he shifted under me, it was pretty obvious that his trousers had just become tighter.
"I've literally just told you I have a meeting." He laughed, making no effort to remove himself from under me, even though he was considerably stronger than me.
"And? We've got time." I began unfastening the buttons on his shirt, revealing his milky skin to my eager eyes.
"My ego hurts at those words, I must admit and as badly as I want you right now, I really have to go." He sighed, flipping us over and kneeling between my legs as he fastened his shirt back up.
I lay with my arms behind my head, staring at the white ceiling of Bill's room.
"When will you be back?" I wondered, looking downwards towards him.
"A couple of hours maybe, I'm not sure." He shrugged, focusing hard on my naked body and running his hands down my thighs.
"I'm gonna head back to my place, I need to get showered and I bet my post is mounting up. My neighbours probably think I'm dodgy or something, I'm literally never there these days." I laughed, leaning up onto my elbows as Bill removed himself from the bed and adjusted his hair, pushing it back into place and shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Wanna do something after my meeting?" He wondered and I nodded.
"Target trip?" I asked excitedly and he rolled his eyes.
"Fine." He groaned, and I clapped my hands.
"You're such a pushover." I giggled, now sitting up on Bill's kingsize bed.
"I'll show you pushover later, but right now I really need to get going." Bill hurriedly kissed my lips and left the bedroom, I could head him jog downstairs.
I waited until I heard the sound of his car pull out of the driveway, the gravel crunching underneath the wheels and that's when I finally decided to get my backside out of bed to brush my teeth in the en suite bathroom.
I shoved my hair up into a disheveled bun and washed my face, removing any reminents of toothpaste from around my mouth.
I quickly sprayed some deodorant just to last me until I got home and could have a good scrub in my bath or in the shower, depending on my mood.
When I was back in Bill's room I mooched around for the first set of underwear I could find, which just happened to be plain black.
I stole another t-shirt from Bill which was white with a random print on the front and rolled the sleeves up so they didn't hang awkwardly at the crease of my elbow, I hated that.
Luckily, I had a few pairs of Joni jeans hanging around here so I merely shoved a light blue pair on and was good to go.
I was pretty impressed with how briskly I'd managed to get myself ready, although I definitely had the advantage seeing as I hadn't applied any make up.
I tidied up Bill's bedroom and made his bed, pulling up the blinds to allow the morning sunlight to flood the room and wake me up further.
I made my way downstairs and to the door, where I just pulled my vans on, grabbed my bag and had a quick scan inside to make sure I had everything including my wallet, keys, iphone and my glasses.
I was pretty content that I'd got everything and that I'd tidied Bill's place up accordingly so left the house after setting the alarm and locking the door behind me.
I'd driven over here yesterday so my white Audi was parked up and waiting for my entry.
I unlocked my car and hopped right in, dumping my bag on the passenger seat.
I belted up and pressed the button to start my car, seeing as it was a keyless start. I got into gear and began the long descent back onto the road, eager to get home.
I'd been back and forth to Bill's place over the last month and it was starting to feel pointless paying rent for such a gorgeous apartment when all I did was stay at his.
I pulled up to my apartment complex, parking in one of my designated spots and locked my car up once I'd grabbed my bag.
I punched in the code and opened the door to the building, entering the foyer where I collected my post.
I mindlessly flipped through the envelopes,  scrunching my nose up at the sheer amount of junk mail I'd received.
I climbed up the stairs to my floor, where only my apartment was and shoved the key into the lock, happy to be home.
I kicked my shoes off, dumped the post and my bag on the kitchen counter which happened to be around the corner from my front door and also threw my keys down next to the items.
My apartment was in pristine condition, mostly because I liked to keep it tidy because I was a slight neat freak. It worked out pretty well for me though, because Bill was the same.
I flopped onto my couch, grabbing my MacBook from the glass coffee table and placing it onto of my folded legs, logging onto my account and almost immediately pulling my emails up since I’d neglected them pretty bad.
I flicked through the junk emails, sending them straight to trash folder. Most of them were pretty standard, a few asking of my availability for the rest of the year but one in particular caught my eye.
The name was unfamiliar and the subject merely said ‘an interview with the hottest couple of 2016’ and my heart sank just at reading those words, but it was nothing compared to the actual email itself;
An invitation to Miss Mya Williams,
We hope you are able to join us at our Beverly Hill studio to participate in an interview that delves deep into the reality of dating one of the biggest upcoming actors of the year, we would be delighted if both yourself and Bill Skarsgard could attend and reveal all to us and your fans.
I hope to hear from you in the upcoming days,
Lizzie Sharp Entertainment Central
My mouth was agape and my heart was beating so aggressively against my chest, why would this reporter lady want to interview Bill and I over being a couple when there was literally no proof or anything out there to suggest that we were more than friends.
We were so careful about doing anything on the set of the last television show we worked together on, that ceased filming a few days ago. I don’t know if Lizzie was working with information that had sprung from rumours, since Bill had gotten big, the public were interested in his personal life, specifically his love life and people were quick to pin me to him.
I hastily sent the email to the junk folder, where it was going to lay dormant with he rest until I went on a deleting spree.
If I didn’t reply to the email, surely it would all go away, right?
I tried to forget about the strange email, hoping to never receive anything like it again.
I pulled up twitter, signing in and having a mindless scroll through my timeline, favouriting the odd tweet and retweeting a few cool pieces that had some relevance to my life.
I also decided to tackle my mentions, which filled up a lot these days after my work was revealing to the world of critique. I mostly got compliments galore and the odd comment that came from a pre pubescent girl who liked to slate my every move, every breath I took.
After moving to LA I grew a back bone and learnt to take shitty comments on the chin, and because of this grew my delightful personality that consisted of sarcasm and standing up for myself.
I yawned as I weaved through the mentions, not particularly interested.
Well, that was until I came across multiple pictures of myself and Bill spamming my mentions. I rolled my eyes, people loved to be nosey.
Although what I did notice was that it was the same three images across multiple tweets, so I decided to enlarge them and what met my eyes were pictures of myself and Bill looking awfully close.
Sickness overwhelmed me, as did sheer panic.
The first image was of us on set, with me on his back and a huge smile on his face as I whispered something into his ear.
The second was of us walking to the restaurant in Beverly Hills in the other day with his arm thrown over my shoulders.
The final image was of us in the restaurant, taken through the window and we were holding hands.
It didn’t look good for us, and I figured it was better to say nothing than to try and magic up a lie that probably made us look shadier.
I let out a growl and slammed the my laptop shut, throwing it to the side of me and covering my face with my hands.
I knew this would happen, but I thought it’d be easier to deny and it was only a matter of time before the tabloids had the pictures printed in every magazine in America.
The last thing we needed getting out was that we both liked each other and the sheer amount of time we spent together, or to have any more picture taken of us without our knowledge.
To say I was worried was an understatement, being so out there now meant that the press would start digging and the last thing I wanted plastered over the internet was my sad excuse of a life.
I didn’t need anyone to know that I’d dropped out of school and that I hadn’t even wanted to attend college. I didn’t want anyone to know that my parents absolutely hated me for doing these things, I was nothing but an embarrassment to them.
I definitely didn’t need Bill to have to endure the comments that would be thrown at him about my age or my background and it was a blessing that he didn’t have any social media or it was certain that this would have blown up even bigger.
I have no idea how long I was sat on my couch wallowing in self pity but the sound of my phone ringing, along with he vibrations snapped me out of my trance.
I yanked it out of my back pocket taking a quick glance at the caller ID, almost shouting out in frustration at the sight of Bill’s name.
I couldn’t bring myself to answer it, so speedily pressed the reject button on the screen.
There was pure silence for a minute before it rang again, flashing up once more with his name. I knew that he’d keep calling if i didn’t pick up, he was the most persistent man I’ve ever met.
“What’s up?” I breathed, running a hand down my face.
“Oh, hey. I’ve just finished with my meeting, are you ready?” He asked, most obviously speaking to me over the speaker in his car.
“Erm, no. I don’t feeling like going out anyway, feel free to head back home.” I excused, the thought of being pictured out together again making my head spin with anxiety.
“Why not? You love going to Target, you were so up for it this morning… is something wrong?” I could almost imagine him frowning in confusion, because it was true, I fucking loved Target.
“I just don’t feel brilliant, Bill. Look, I’ll talk to you later, bye.” I spoke in a rush, hanging up the phone and dropping back into the cushions of my couch.
Tears spilled over and I sobbed quietly, more overwhelmed than anything.
I didn’t move to LA to become the focus of every gossip magazine, I came to escape my old life. This wasn’t what I wanted, I just wanted to work and be happy.
I merely wanted to be left alone, it’s all I’ve ever wanted. Bill was the only person who knew almost everything about me, he was the one person I knew who would catch me if I fell.
A knock at my door pulled me away from the darkness that was just my thoughts and I wiped the tears from under my eyes, sniffling and breathing deeply before hopping up from the couch and plastering on a smile ready for whoever was on the other side of the door.
I twisted the inside lock and pulled it open, cursing at myself for not checking through the spy hole before opening the door.
“What are you doing here? I told you I didn’t feel like going out.” I muttered, leaving Bill at the door and walking into my kitchen.
I heard him close the door behind him and he followed me, and I could feel him watching my every move as I leant on my sink and looked out of the window in front of me.
“You sounded upset on the phone and I’m not an idiot.” He remarked, his presence strong behind me.
I made a face and gritted my teeth.
“You’re an idiot if you forgot how to use your key and let yourself in.” I whispered to myself, watching as the sun moved behind the clouds.
“What’s up with you? You were fine this morning, right until I left. Now I’ve finished my meeting and you have no interest in being around me, and I can’t figure out why.”
I span around harshly, taking him off guard.
“I told you to be careful with what you did in public, the hand holding, the cuddling! Now the press have got photos of us and they’re all over the fucking internet and I have people emailing me asking for interviews, I knew this would happen, I told you that people would start speculating!” I yelled at him, his eyes widening at my sudden tone of voice.
“What pictures? You need to get a grip, Mya! We take one step forward and two back and I specifically remember telling you to not worry and just let people speculate. We’re the only people who need to be involved in our business, it's our own business.” He spoke back, making me roll my eyes.
“It’s not even speculation that’s the problem, Bill. It’s the fact that people have confirmation that there’s something going on between us, and I don’t know what to do about it.” I spoke, my voice cracking and more tears threatening to fall.
Bill let out a prolonged breath and advanced towards me with his arms outstretched, they wrapped around me like a shield.
“There’s nothing you can do, or that you need to do. But I think it's time to face the facts or maybe our feelings in this case." Bill murmured into my hair.
I nodded against him, my face buried into his neck.
Now was the time.
"I'm pretty damn sure that I'm in love with you." I admitted against the skin of his neck.
"Well that's good then, because I'm pretty sure I'm in love with you to." He replied, pushing me back gently and holding my face between his hands.
I looked up at him and once our eyes met I felt every ounce of hurt, upset and anger leave my body.
He rested his forehead against mine and pressed a kiss to my lips, it was gentle, like a feather touching you for a second.
I kissed him back and let my arms go up around his neck, so grateful to be in his arms.
He pulled back for a second and I almost let out a whimper at the loss of contact.
"Be my girlfriend, wife, whatever. I just know that I need you, all of you." Bill revealed and I nodded.
"Can we not say anything to the press? or to anyone, just not yet." I asked, touching his full bottom lip with mine.
"Whatever you want." He whispered, grasping my face harder and crushing his lips on mine.
This was it.
This was official.
Friends with benefits didn't really work out the way I planned but I think it was for the best and now all feelings, secrets and confessions are out there.
I just hope nothing ruins it.
                                     xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Q&A #107
Today we have revisiting Rough Landing, a question I don’t need to answer in the best possible way, double bimbos, tumblr being tumblr, me possibly somewhat going off on one in regard to what NOT to do, and more.
[Anonymous said:] Had a Corruption rank up and one of the slaver options had both Depraved and Spiritual, which are supposed to be mutually exclusive I thought: Choice 4: Madeline Crakewyne - Human Wastelander Futanari - Competent Skybreaker - (Spi)(Fly)(Res)(Clu)(Cun)(Usc+)
- You’re right, those should be mutually exclusive.
[Anonymous said:] There is an event where one of your slavers will slip into your tent at night and have their way with you. Can you explain some of the mechanics that govern this event?
- My absolute favourite kind of question. Mainly as there exists a resource in game already which I hope should be able to fully explain all the details. Please see under Help and Prefferences -> Forced Encounters.
[Anonymous said:] Need to ask; any chance for standard dwarf female commission, or this one is considered up to date?
- There technically is one in Scout the Coast though I’d prefer to get another one for the examine. I’ve been trying to get one done for ages through the commission polls that would serve to be a fun NH take on Dorf Fortress. I’ve also got a set of portraits potentially coming as a bonus though there’s some health issues getting in the way of that.
So it’s not consided up to date, there is a chance, but maybe not for awhile.
[Anonymous said:] Bug report: orc cum addict training on bimbo slave results in double bimbo.
- That’s hilarious, and far too appropriate. Alas, I must say that has been found and will be fixed for the update.
[Anonymous said:] the links to pixiv have disappeared
- Oh tumblr... why must you be so well tumblr. Tried adding a link to the twitter which has a link to the pixiv and that’s not showing either as an active link. Thankfully if you go the tumblr directly (i.e not on the dashboard) there’s an embed of the twitter so you can access them that way.
[academiy-blog said:] Hey man, Love the work you do, please don't give up on this path, you're so talented and creative. I am in love with your game No Haven and want to make a game like it but don't know where to start or how to do it. I am a complete stranger to coding and game making but I want to create adventures that people can lose themselves in like you do. Can you please tell me where should I start learning and what skills would I need to make a game like No Haven? You're awesome, take care Your big fan, me
- First seriously appreciated!
But oh man do not like it like I did as it was the complete wrong ass-backwards way to do it :D
Starting with RAGS meant I learnt a rather terrible system like the back of my hand which I worked how to break horribly to do what I wanted it to do. Doing it that way meant I often learned the wrong lessons when it comes to coding more in general, and didn’t know that, cause it worked.
Then moving onto Twine without the time to really take a break to learning coding properly meant I was having to pick up concepts on the go, and again made a bunch of mistakes.
Personally if I could somehow start over I’d do a coding course of some kind, and then use that knowledge to make games rather than deciding to make games, and still at times be lacking vital knowledge about what I should be doing or indeed not doing.
Saying that I’ve found freecodecamp (especially the emails with five things to read each week), and w3schools to be great resources so maybe you could try starting there?
[Anonymous said:]   If someone hates being spiritual leader, they won't leave role when asked. In fact slavers leave this role only if they dislike it. Is this a bug?
- I’m pretty sure that’s been fixed, but will double check.
[From the Patreon:] Short question:How do i transform my Character or another Slaver into the opposite gender? Male -> Female or Female -> Male. Are there certain assignments?
- There's a couple of different ways.
Biomancy and Corruption can both do it for Male>Female. So you can either work towards doing it on purpose using the encampment activities, or you can run assignment that can result in Corruption like Changing Places and it might well happen.
There's assignments that can do it one way or the other like Keldan Alley or Into the Depths.
Then there's the option of getting too deep in debt with the Ensnared Rose.
[From TFgames:] The game is very fun and enjoyable. How to actually win the game?I gained a lot of money, trained the slavers and slaves. What to do next?I got tired of repeating tasks.
- Hi, I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Currently there's a placeholder win condition of reaching 10k gold. Honnestly it's not very interesting as is and purely in there as a placeholder, and most players from what I've heard prefer to set their own goals like aquiring certain uniques and training them up. I know one player on my discord server always goes for the full collection of cheerleaders, along with making sure they have their own 'assistants'.
There's also the golem scenario which has an alternate win condition which is more involved complete with patron submitted art for the final victory.
I do have plans to address the win conditions by making them more interesting and varied. So that will be coming down the line.
[From the Collective:] Some theoretical questions:a slaver promoted witch with Racial:Wyrdcraft is supposed to go away after some time. How does this combines with aspect Bimboborn ? Does she comes back after some time? Is there a way to keep her? What happens if a slave version of her is given as a slave to a dominant slaver with the appropriate aspect. What does she gives as traits to her master? any magic or Elementalist traits ? Can she go away?
- Bimboborn would not apply like if they were sold. She does not. There isn't but certain slave training and levelling her up can get her to stick around for longer. Witches can't be given with that aspect and there's a special scene to reflect that.
[From the Collective:] My MC gained this Debauched Exaltation:  Caress of Bone -40 And the Mal Trait that goes with it.Does it make him immune to mind control events ?Apparently not if I look at the Mashlands Witches but there's other events I haven't tested.
- Call it Malevolence light so it mainly just works on assignments. Also those totally-not-witches have all sorts of tricks so who knows what they're actually fully capable of.
[From the Collective:] Negotiate entry of the Lord's gate: It doesn't trigger a level up if your slavers win enough xp to level up at the end of the mission. You need another mission to level up.
- Doesn't surprise me. It's a miracle that utter mess of an assignment hangs together at all so something minor like that is a small price to pay. Had to try to pull it apart recently for the Twine conversion and man it is so much yikes you would not believe.
[From the Collective:] Not really a bug, per se, but still:I want to do the Mistress of torments mission (For the Normal Success result). When my slaver number is at maximum I can't do this even if I set the general orders to "Don't recruit anyone"I think it's the case for all missions with potential slavers. You should be able to do them with the "Don't recruit anyone" option on.
- I'd need to go back and do an alternate result where no recruitment is possible for that to happen. It's something I've been trying to do a lot more with the slave taking assignments recently especially, as I know it's also annoying when you're full up on slaves and are then locked out on too many assignments.
[From the Collective:] what's the requirement for crafting traits and Artisan/Artificier aspect? leaving a slaver on crafting assignment for months doesn't seem to trigger lvl ups.
- Currently impossible as Crafting xp isn't really a thing. Saying that the first Crafting assignment is currently walking the commission poll (along with the Insatiable fuck off fight) on the patreon so now it's just a matter of time for that to change.
[From the Collective:] Imperial Muse I don't understand a part of the rewards Rewards Diplomacy rank up bonus: large wood elf shaft x4
- That's an amusing, if very annoying bug as I keep forgetting about it (happened with this update that's about to come out too though did get to hotfix it before the public release), if I don't add a new Diplomacy assignment to a certain condition.
[From the Collective:] at the moment no enchantement. As far as  I know there is only one enchanted item, from the ooze mission, maybe a proof of concept.the tinkerer encampment position is also in development.
- There's also the enchanted armours possible to find from corruption, there's a late game assignment in the city that can provide some, certain uniques start with one, and the next update will have an update which can also provide some.
[From the Collective:] I have just realized that the bug that allowed to promote slaves even after you have reached 20 slavers had been fixed (sometimes I hate myself) Can you do something to expand the number of slavers - Do not count slavers and slaves in camp position - Do not count unique slaves and slavers (this way you will not be blocked with new missions of the update that have a story role), the 2 golems the witch queen, the fallen paladin and his demi angel friend, maybe also the cheerleaders, was unable to have more than one until slavers were 20) - Have a small number of places that can on be used by promoted slaves - a unique mission, perhaps  one for each region that allows additional camp size. - Some camp positions can be unlocked by missions. Taskmaster at Mountains, Alchemist at City, brewer at Coast, Cook at Forest, Emissary at Plains
- The current limits are in place due to RAGS (along with partially due to how I've set up the arrays, see previous answer about mistakes being made), so for now I'm not planning to change that or add ways to get round it in RAGS. However I do plan to change this I hope in the Twine conversion. There I can redo arrays on the fly which should make changing that more reasonable.
[From the Discord:] Favorite Boardgame?
- I’ve played much better, much designed games and certainly much more well regarded ones, but if I’m being honest for the best memories attached to it then absolutely Go. Not the one with the black and white tiles. The International Travel Game which came out in the early 60′s that my grandparents had a copy of.
Thinking about it I suspect how willing it was to utterly screw with the players by diverting them on a flight to Paris to ending you up in some tropical island on the other side of the world you were trying to get to might have some influence on my approach to game design :D
[From the Discord:] What are the chances of a 10 Year Anniversary Remastered Edition of RL in 2024, complete with CHAPTER 3 (j/k... but I would play it)
- Honnestly, with what I’ve learned doing WR and NH I’m reasonably confident I could do a combined RL1 and 2 in Twine in a couple of months max if I dropped everything else. So not something I’m likely to do anytime soon with so many other priorities, but one I have thought about.
[From the Discord:] What are the most recent major Scientific, Magical & Cultural innovations in the land of NH?
- I have an assignment chained to discuss that.
[From the Discord:] Do marlsunes get fleas?
- Yes, occasionally if they let themselves go, but it’s treatable.
[From the Discord:] With the existence of a Horned One camp... is there any credence to the rumoured couples only Horned Two camp?
- Given how well the double horned one idea is doing in the commissions recently, looks so.
[From the Discord:] Specifically, how advanced is the art of glassmaking in the land of No Haven? Are glass panels a thing? Maybe even one-way mirrors made by the foremost guilds that employ E:Ea?
- See that’s a more tricky question than it sounds, and it’s all down to the Neko Protection League.
One thing I’ve found with commissions is it’s often a negotiation to get everything you want, and in that sacrifices end up being made, and/or details that were important in the original pitch get overlooked to focus on something else that is more urgent to be amended. In this case the glasses I wanted to look even more archaic didn’t get reflected as much as I’d have liked.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a bloody fantastic pair of pictures. Just a minor regret you know that I feel as is they don’t quite fit what I had in mind for the tech level of the setting.
[From the Discord:] Draki harpies - possible or UFO-like sightings?
As cool as a visual that suggests, which is tempting don’t get me wrong, draki are of elvish and human origins only.

WOOOOOOO OKAY 2.2k sidgeno beauty vlogger au for @honeycombhenry because i got e M O t i o n a l thinking about her art
“A lot of you have been asking me about how and why I started a makeup and beauty vlog,” video-Sidney says, his voice a little scratchy. Zhenya had been listening to the new update on the accidentally-stumbled upon channel, which had quickly become one of his entertainment go-to for the charmingly shy and genuine personality (Crosbeauty, he thinks fondly, what an adorable little nickname) and lovely face behind the camera, in the locker room as he changed sluggishly, when video-Sidney admits, “I’ve been really putting off answering that question, but I hope that my answer will help encouraging some younger people who may be in a similar situation.”
At 8.7 million subscribers, Crosbeauty is one of the most-followed and loved YouTube channels, featuring a Canadian man who talks about his love for hockey while testing various makeup brands to see if they really live up to the hype. Zhenya’s favorite thing, he thinks, is watching Sidney tuck back a stray curl behind his ear as Sidney gazes off-camera, talking about the team’s stats, his day, visiting in parents in Cole Harbour and, as always, thanking his audience with his usual ending catchphrase and thumbs up, “Thanks, everyone, see you next time. Remember to get up every morning and do something that you love. Wouldn’t that be amazing?”
What would really be amazing is if Zhenya worked up the guts to contact Crosbeauty and thank him for lifting his spirits with that peculiar giggle whenever a game goes poorly, for shocking a laugh out of him when Sidney says something snarky about the Flyers while applying his contour and, for once, when Zhenya had been knocked out of several games with a concussion scare, wearing a Malkin jersey and wishing the Pens and Zhenya well, along with “We all believe in you, Geno. I know I do. Can’t wait to see you back on the ice. Take care, buddy.”
He’d replayed that one video, again and again, until they’d cleared him for playing. He’d scored a hat trick that night, and for every goal, he pointed at the cameras and gave a thumbs up, just like Sidney. In a vlog that posted a week later, Sidney seemed to be trying to contain his smile as he raved about how amazing Malkin was and his celly, which jokingly, he mentioned, “I hope that was for me. It’s probably not. Let me dream.”
(It was for you, Zhenya wanted to say. He considered writing an email, maybe offering some tickets to their next home game, too, but he pauses. Is this too much? Would Sidney get put off by him? He doesn’t want to pressure Sidney into saying yes just because he’s the captain of the Pens. But Sidney liked the Pens, so would that be so bad?
He thinks about this at his kitchen island as he swirls jam into his tea for approximately 30 minutes, until Sasha texts him with a, “HEY!!! Let’s go out before our game, maybe find you someone hot. You poor, lonely thing, you))))))” There had been multiple kissy face emojis following that.
Zhenya rolls his eyes and debates the pros and cons of hanging out with Sasha—one, he gets really, really drunk, and then listen to Sasha incoherently proclaim himself as Mr. Alexander Backstrom for two hours before going home alone and passing out; or he can stay home and stare at the Crosbeauty channel, at Sidney’s unfairly attractive face, until he passes out.
Well, if he’s destined to pass out either way, might as well do it with a friend.
He goes out with Sasha. Sasha tells him how wonderful his Nicky is—both in regards to his face and his blowjob abilities—for two hours exactly. Zhenya drinks a lot. Probably too much for a Monday night. And he forgets about his internal moral struggle of sending hockey tickets to Sidney.)
The last video had been with Taylor, Sidney’s sister, where the two tried to investigate the difference between BB and CC creams, while they chatted.
“I can use this for formal,” video-Taylor says, patting her face. “You know what? I really like it. Can I take it?”
“Pay me twenty dollars,” Sidney deadpans.
Taylor laughs and ignores Sidney before continuing, “So, Sid. Back to the list of questions from your followers. Amy-UnicornHeartXoXO54 wants to know if there’s a special person in your life right now.” She wiggles her eyebrows. “Well, Sid? Do you?”
Zhenya hadn’t even noticed he’d been holding his breath, until Sidney answered, “No, Taylor. You know I don’t.”
“I know some nice guys from school,” she says. “They’d love to go on a date with Crosbeaut—”
“I’m not going out with guys your age, Taylor,” Sidney laughs, then accidentally squirts and entire blob of foundation all over his hand. “Oh, God—”
She’d beat Sidney to the punch before the catchphrase and went up real close to the camera, snorting out, “Remember to wake up and do something—or someone—that you love! Wouldn’t that be amazing? Wouldn’t it? Answer me and my brother in the comments or I’ll sit outside your house and watch you through your windows—” as Sidney laughed and tried to pry Taylor away.
That had been a few months ago.
Today, Zhenya listens to Sidney, bare-faced (but still, so, so lovely, with a quiet dignity and confidence), say into the camera, “I turned to makeup because it was something to do after someone purposely broke my leg in peewee hockey. Taylor knows this. My parents and most of my followers know this. But I didn’t tell anyone why I started to vlog. Until now, I guess.” Sidney’s eyes are downcast, staring at an invisible spot on the ground. He licks his lips anxiously. “I went into beauty vlogging, um, probably a few months after I started to use concealers to cover up bruises from my ex.”
Zhenya’s blood runs cold. Sidney doesn’t stop talking. The bickering from his teammates in the locker still ramble on, but the only thing important is hearing Sidney’s voice, sometimes getting thicker before he clears it, in his ear, telling his story. His routines. His one (and only) relationship that ended in abuse. The loneliness and plain emptiness that came after.
The video is short, only three and a half minutes long, but by the end of it, Sidney seems visibly rattled. He still puts on a smile. “You know, I’ve been thinking about sharing this story a lot. I know I’m still recovering, and it’s difficult, but I know I can do it, and to those of you who may be feeling this way, I believe in you. And um, here I am, still waking up and doing something I love. Every morning. It’s not the NHL, it’s—it’s not hockey, I don’t know if I can skate professionally ever, but you know, this is something I’m passionate about. So isn’t that amazing, too?”
Sidney grins, his lips turning up crookedly, even as his eyes are still a little wet, as the video cuts to black.
Zhenya sits there for a while.
“G, you okay?” Phil asks.
Zhenya looks up.
“I’m…” He blinks. “Want to talk to manager.”
He knows what he wants to do.
For Sidney.
The Pens host a slew of charity nights and fundraisers that summer, all profits going towards a variety of local domestic abuse shelters, along with a family skate benefiting You Can Play. There’s teens from the nearby high school stepping on the ice for the first time, sliding their way through like baby deer as their friends pull them across enthusiastically. Parents are waddling along with their babies like penguins, and Zhenya thinks he sees a couple of toddlers trying to climb onto Olli’s legs in the corner.
He’s so busy looking behind him that he doesn’t realize he’s about to run into someone, until he does.
“Oh, shi—oot,” Zhenya says, helping the guy up. “I’m so—” His mouth falls open. “—orry.”
Sidney Crosby, from Crosbeauty, is currently holding onto his hand as he rights himself, using his other hand to brush his thighs clean of ice. Zhenya had nearly run over Crosbeauty on the ice.
“It’s okay,” Sidney says kindly. His smile is just as breathtaking as it is over the Internet, and he looks a little starstruck himself. “I didn’t expect the Pens to actually be here. Well. I mean. I know it’s your event, but I didn’t—”
“Not expect YouTube star be here, either,” Zhenya says, then immediately wishes he can sew his mouth shut.
Sidney looks pleasantly surprised, though, and his cheeks go pink. “You know me?”
“You famous,” Zhenya counters.
“Not really,” Sidney says. “You’re famous. And I, uh, I guess I didn’t think that hockey players, um.” He cuts off, worrying at his lip. “You know.”
Zhenya wants to hold his cheek and smooth out his expression until Sidney doesn’t look so scared. “Hear from players’ wives,” he fibs. It’s not a complete lie—one of the rookies’ girlfriend had caught him watching a video in the corner of the kitchen during a potluck/movie-night, when Zhenya had been pretending to refill the chip bowl, and she’d said conspiratorially, ‘Is that the new Crosbeauty vlog? Can I watch it with you?’ “‘Sidney Crosby know best makeup, you watch new video?’ Sidney this, Sidney that. You bigger celebrity than me.”
Sidney laughs then. “I see,” he says. “And pretty good timing, too, you almost running me over.”
“I’m not run over, just little bump,” Zhenya says, delighted that Sidney’s teasing him. “Barely check.”
“Yeah, for you maybe. It’s like skiing into a tree for me.” He sobers up. “I just wanted to tell you what an incredible thing the Pens organization has been doing lately. It’s great to see hockey changing for the better. And I know that doesn’t mean the entire NHL is gonna change overnight, but it really means a lot to me that, you know, my team is doing this.”
Zhenya feels his throat close up as Sidney beams up at him, so close and so earnest. He really wants to give the whole world to him.
Instead, his dumb mouth opens again and garbles out, “You skate me?”
Sidney blinks. “Sorry?”
Fuck. Fuckity. “I—English not so good—I’m—”
“Your English is fine,” Sidney assures.
Oh no, oh no. He’s going to ramble and then end up spraying Sidney in the face with spit, he knows it. Not good. Not good. “Is embarrassing for me, you know?” he tries. “Talking to you.”
“To me?” Sidney asks, backing away and looking extremely hurt and stunned. “I don’t—”
“No!” Zhenya yells, then lowers his voice. “I’m sorry. I just—is embarrassing because I’m stand in front you. And you so pretty.” There. There, he’s fucking said it. Sidney doesn’t budge an inch. “And nice.” Nice? Fuck that. Surely he can do better than that. “I—I watch your videos, too, to say truth. A lot of videos. You sort of…perfect.”
“Oh,” Sidney says quietly, his expression morphing from hurt, to astonishment, to—shyness? “That’s really sweet of you.”
“I, um.” Zhenya laughs, scratching at an itch that doesn’t exist in the back of his neck. “Sorry, nervous.”
Sidney takes his hands gently, folding his over Zhenya’s clenched fist. “I’m kind of nervous, too,” Sidney says, his eyes a little wild, but that smile, oh, that smile. So wide and exuberant like it can split his face open. “You’re Evgeni Malkin. You won the Stanley Cup three times.”
“And you Sidney Crosby,” Zhenya says. Strong, beautiful, brave Sidney Crosby, he doesn’t say. For now. “You remember, hit my head last year, scared having concussion?”
“I remember.”
“I watched your video, you tell me to get better soon. Watch it until I get better. Again and again.” Sidney’s face, changing into pure shock, fuels him with more confidence. “First game I play, I get hat trick for you. And I’m think, Sidney Crosby most lucky.”
Sidney ducks his head, laughing that ridiculous noise, and Zhenya has never heard anything more wonderful.
“You want skate together?” Zhenya tries again. He doesn’t let go of Sidney’s hand.
Sidney doesn’t let go, either. “Yes,” he says.
They go.

Week 5 Lectures
Morning Lecture
Wired Equivalent Privacy
With WiFi, unlike a wired connection, it is easy for other people to access packets that are being sent through the air. This means that you would want to encrypt your data before sending it.
WEP is very basic encryption with many vulnerabilities. What was interesting is that even though vulnerabilities were found, people kept using it for a while because they didn’t have many alternatives.
Data sent in a WEP frame is broadcast, and only those with the correct MAC address will read it. But this doesn’t stop other people from taking these packets, modifying them and resending them.
Encryption is done using RC4 (which uses a random number generator), and XOR. The data is encrypted, but the order and structure is still the same. So given a packet, it is known which bits correspond to the IP packet’s destination IP address.
An attacker can take a packet sent by someone else, modify the packet’s destination IP address, and send it back to the access point. Instead of the attacker doing work, the access point will decrypt it and send it back to the attacker! Note that the attacker’s IP and the victim’s IP addresses are the same for the first 3/4 of bits, so there aren’t many different combinations to try.
This is an example of mixing data and control - changing the addresses within the IP packet (which is inside the WEP frame) also changes the control.
Phreaking (phone hacking)
Phones back in the day sent tones of different frequencies for control e.g. the frequency 2600Hz was used to give a free phone call.
There was a Captain Crunch promotion where they gave out whistles with frequency 2600Hz - the same frequency as the tone for free phone calls. So people bought the cereal and abused this to get free calls.
The main problem was that tones used for control were sent along the data line.
Guest Lecture - Doctor
There is a lot of bias going on even in the medical world, with patients, pharmaceutical companies, and with doctors.
Observation bias is when seeing what other people are doing influences our decisions. For example, there is a hormone tablet for breast cancer offered after a surgery which has a chance of preventing the cancer coming back, however it has some side effects. A doctor who just saw a patient who decided to take the tablet may become biased towards supporting the decision to use the tablet for the next patient.
There is also the idea of “quid pro quo”, something mentioned in the Social Engineering lecture. Sometimes pharmaceutical representatives take doctors/nurses out for a free lunch and tell them about a new drug. Because of this favour they have done, these doctors/nurses are more likely to recommend the company’s drugs.
What’s scary is that sometimes you think you are not being biased, but in reality you are subconsciously leaning towards one side or another. Next time I make a judgement on something, I’ll try to check if I am truly being fair, or if I’m just following my instincts.
A majority of problems occuring is from human error, be it negligence or poor judgement. Take for example hygiene. It is difficult to get doctors to wash their hands regularly or follow proper hygienic procedures, because they either forget or think its too much of a hassle.
A study showed that adding checklists in surgery halved the infection rate. Checklists have really simple things on them, and are cheap to create, but its usually the simple steps that aren’t followed which lead to poor hygiene. So instead of investing in high end equipment to reduce bacteria levels slightly, in this instance, it was more effective to bring about a culture change on the simple things.
Evening Lecture
Extended seminar - OPSEC (Operations security)
Protect information that could be used by the enemy against you
Identification of critical info
Analysis of threats
Analysis of vulnerabilities
Assessment of risk
Application of appropriate OPSEC measures
Random pieces of info aren’t useful, but together they can do damage.
Origin - Vietnam war
Snowden - “What would be the impact if my adversary were aware of my activities?”
If your threat model is too high - don’t do it.
How to OPSEC?
If you don’t need to share information, don’t.
If you do something you don’t want people to know about, ensure it can’t be traced back to you
Avoid bringing attention to youself
This is hard to pull off, so tradeoffs must be made e.g. where do you want to be secure, or and where do you want to be visible. It’s hard figure out how much you want to hide.
Avoid sharing information - only share if it’s needed, beware of social media, metadata, indicators - expensive clothes
Keep identity secret - Tor browser to remain anonymous,
You can use a false identity - hard to maintain
Be forgettable - blend in with everyone else so that you don’t draw attention to yourself
“There are no case studies of good OPSEC - you never hear about them.”
Case studies
WW2 - American congressman bragged that American subs survived because Jap depth charges weren’t deep enough. This cost the US lives, as Japanese set them deeper.
MI6 agent exposed because of wife who left Facebook on public.
Harvard bomb threat
Bomb threat listed his exam hall
Guerilla mail adds originating header - found out it was Tor
Tor was used on campus wifi - don’t be logged in if you want to be anonymous
Silk road - Ross Ulbricht
Asked for help with set up on his real email
Used same alias on multiple sites
Tor and VPN used in wrong order - negligence
Richard’s comments
Someone with good OPSEC used different computers and toolkits for different personas.
Even first contact is dangerous - you can roll back in time to when people were young and connected their accounts etc.
Extended seminar - Passwords
Most passwords used are weak. It’s hard to remember and to type a complex password, so people tend not to use them.
Passwords often use personal information such as name and birthday. So hackers can try cracking passwords using this information.
Good passwords are long without english grammar patterns.
Passwords are broken
Passwords are weak - full of meaning (47% based on name), often reused over multiple sites.
Personal Information Attack
Fake Facebook profile (Sally) - can see partner’s name, birthday, education, hobbies, pet’s name
cup.py - many combinations of passwords based on personal information, common replacements (a -> 4)
Password Crackers
John the Ripper on Kali Linux
Hashcat - for hashes
Why are passwords bad?
hard to remember and type good passwords
complicated rules for generation (letters, numbers, symbols)
regular renewal
little incentive to create unique passwords
low probability, high impact risk
Password Storage: bad practice
Some are still stored in plain text - mostly small to medium sized companies
Facebook had stored plaintext passwords in an internal database
Bad hashing (md5, sha1) - Rainbow tables are designed to match with passwords
Demo - using Linkedin passwords file
In 2012 - Linkedin was hacked, and passwords leaked.
Saeed had a file with the list of userid:hashedpassword.
Used Google - sha1 to reverse the hashed password
Looking through the first 1000 lines, 4 people had the same password
10000 lines - 26 people
Passwords frequency in descending order: password, 123456, LinkedIn
If you have a bad hash, anyone with google can hack passwords
John the Ripper - automatically cracks the passwords based on the hashes
Salt - add random string to end of the password, you get 2 different hashes. This way, there isn’t a problem if many people had a password. LinkedIn did not have a salt.
Best practices for storing passwords
Use a strong encryption method like a hashing function such as sCrypt or BCrypt
Store the salted hash, not the password
Salts should be long (at least 256 bits)
Don’t store password hints
Another solution - let a bigger company handle it. Log in with Google or Facebook, however this is
Maybe we can get rid of passwords altogether - but not yet.
Password Generation
Better ways to come up with memorable passwords
correcthorsebatterystaple
length of word creates enough entropy
avoids english grammar patterns
don’t use common words
passphrases
long and with wacky lexicon but good syntax to make it hard for AI to generate
memorable
initialisation of a phrase
take first letter of each word, removes English letter frequency
New policy - NIST 2016
don’t force regular password changes
don’t enforce composition rules
don’t provide password hints
allow user to opt for passwords to be viewed while typing
limit number of failed login attempts
Richard: just keep a list of bad passwords, don’t use any.
Long passwords are better than just adding symbols and numbers.
Richard: we think our passwords are good, but we overestimate it. Humans are bad at generating passwords - we follow patterns.
Buckland’s Lecture
Merkle Damgard construction
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkle%E2%80%93Damg%C3%A5rd_construction
SHA2 - different types depending on size (SHA-256 means SHA2 with 256 bits)
We have a long message, but we need a small hash, so we break the message into blocks.
Tumblr media
This is a method of building collision resistant cryptographic hash functions from collision resistant one way compression functions.
It is used in hash algorithms such as MD5, SHA1 and SHA2.
The message is split up into blocks.
The algorithm starts with an initial value, the initialisation vector (IV).
The result so far (initially just the IV) is combined with the next message blockis, then the compression function f is applied.
Step 3 is repeated until all blocks have been added.
The last result may be passed through a finalisation function.
Bank messaging problem
We want integrity and authentication. MACs give us both.
We can add the secret key before the message, and then hash it.
MAC: h(key|data)
The problem with this is that an intercepted message with known hash and message length can be extended. This is a length extension attack.
Take the hash, append a new message to it and pass it into f, the compression function. In this way, you can modify the message, even without knowing the secret key.
HMAC (hash-based message authentication code) puts the password after the message, instead of the beginning. h( key | h(key|m) )
Digital Signature
DSA - Digital Signature Algorithm
A digital signature is used to verify authenticity of digital messages or documents. A valid digital signature gives the recipient strong reason to believe the message was truly from the sender (authentication) and that the message was not altered in transit (integrity).
Signing larger files directly takes a long time. To sign large files, hash the file and then sign the encrypted hash.
Collisions with digital signatures
A collision attack requires half the number of bits in the hash size.
Example: Alice has a pdf saying “I will give Bob $100″, then Alice signs it, and sends it along with the signature to Bob. If an attacker can create another document with the same hash as Alice’s document, then the attacker can use the same signature with this new document, so it looks like Alice has signed the new document.
The attacker can change 1 bit in each document that doesn’t change anything visible (e.g. whitespace) and then keep hashing them until you find 2 identical hashes. Ask Alice to sign the first document, and you can reuse the signature for the second one.
Passwords
Password attack types:
online - typing the password on a website manually
website can detect
offline - obtaining the file containing hashes of passwords and decrypting locally
/etc/shadow
password file used to be protected by md5
Salt is random data added to the password before hashing. Salts help to prevent collisions in the case that users have the same password. Salts also protect against the use of rainbow tables, because the password will need to be hashed with the random salt to be in the table.

There’s no guesswork here. This thing that I’m going to teach you is based on principles that are hardcoded in humanity…and this is the reason why a properly told marketing story works so well. You can trace this back to hundreds of years ago, when people relied on stories to pass on messages and spread lessons, doctrines, and history…this means you know that selling thru the use of stories is a safe “route” even for newbies to follow. What you get today is practical knowledge that you can apply immediately even if you are a newbie. Best part is, not only does the system work for videos, it also can be applied to branding, email marketing, public speaking, webinar marketing…even in simple “about me” page. But you have to be careful, because…
“Not All Marketing StoriesARE CREATED EQUAL” You see…There are different kinds of stories…and there are different ways to tell them. You could probably find lots of tutorials in YouTube now. BUT – a lot of the tutorials you find online are just aimed at entertaining at not really selling. And that’s what make 10k Vid Code unique – because the kind of storytelling you get here is the kind that pulls people emotionally, helps them remember you, and makes people take action. The stories & videos you’re about to create with this training are…
“…Not Something Fancy Push Button Softwares Can Do…” Although softwares make our lives easier…they lack the emotional ingredient that packs the punch when in comes to marketing. And whether you like it or not: people buy thru their emotions, and simply justify their action thru logic later on. Now…don’t worry. You don’t need fancy softwares to create your kickass story anyway. Because with the process of how I teach you this, the end result would be you, simply filling in the blanks. So, it’s really that easy at the end.

10k Vid Code : FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I’ve bought other marketing and business courses in the past…what makes this different? Forget about “Tricks of the Month” and get rich quick hypes ‘n lies. The lesson you find in this package will remain serving you for the next 5, 10, 20 even the next 50 years to come. Bold claim, I know. But this is just the plain truth about this “evergreen money generation secret” you’re about to get – it’s something that has passed the test of times.
Will this still work if I’m not technically savvy? Absolutely. If you can write simple sentences, or if you have your fair share of campfire or bed time story sharing you can do this. You can get started with this even without fancy equipments, high-end computers, and crazy priced softwares.
Why should I get this today? Because this is one of the best trainings I’ve personally produced ‘till date. Just like the my personal “underdog” experience (mentioned above), “10k Vid Code” could be a game changing factor and advantage giver in the marketplace. You’ll be in a tough spot if your competitor got his hands on this and you don’t. Besides, you’re getting this at a very low public launch price, along with fast action bonuses. In the future, the price would be raised to at least $97 and the fast action bonuses could be removed. Implement this and this package pays for itself. It’s a no-brainer.
Am I safe to purchase this? What if I don’t like what I see inside? Yes, your purchase is safe and encrypted. You have 45-days to test this out as well and see if you like it…if not, our customer service department is on standby and would grant you a refund. There’s NO risk.
How much for all of these? It all starts at just $12-17. This is structured as a dime sale, so the price is increasing… After 7 days, the price will be $97 (which is still a GREAT deal but you save a lot today)
Are there any ongoing fees? None. Just a one-time investment is required to get started.
I understand concepts and take action better whenever I get case studies, and templates on the courses I buy. Where can I get those? Although you already get everything you need to understand and start implementing the 10k Vid code system, I understand that some people tend to look for more content. In that  case, you can grab the “upgrade package” on the next page (you’ll be lead to the upsell page after this purchase).
How do I get started? Click the button below to get INSTANT ACCESS
What’s the deal/catch with the bonus software? Like mentioned above, you’re getting the full working version with developers rights. A friend of mine hooked me up so I could give this to you for this launch. So just to be clear, we are not the developers of this awesome software (how I wish we were lol). You get it as is – awesome and super useful.
How do I get a refund? Contact us thru our helpdesk: nextlevelpreneur(dot)com/helpdesk

Colorful Spring Cheese Board
Today I'm celebrating my journey to food blogging with colorful fruits, yummy cheeses, salty meats, carbs, chocolate and a delicious glass (or two) of wine Thank you Wente Wine for sponsoring this post and inspiring me to share my story with all of you! As with all sponsored posts, all content and opinions expressed are my own. Thanks for reading! #LoveoftheJourney #truestory #sponsored
It was never part of my plan to be a food blogger.
I remember in great detail sitting with three of my best girlfriends at a diner one morning many many years ago. We were just 17 or 18 years old nursing killer hangovers after a night of too much drinking. We were clueless, adorable, little spring chickens desperate for attention and lots to learn about life.
Randomly, our life plans came up. When did we want children? What did we want to do?
One of my friends had no idea, the other wanted to marry someone rich and the other, if I remember correctly, wanted to be a doctor. I knew I wanted to be a pharmacist. With pharmacy I knew I would always have a stable, reliable career. True, I would be paying off loans for the rest of my life, but I'm doing that just with my undergrad education anyway, so why not go big, right?
As far as children were concerned, we all wanted children sometime in our late twenties. I, on the other hand, knew that I would have my first at twenty-seven. Twenty-seven was the plan.
So I went through college and graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology. Yes, It was a good fit for me. I love science, after all; but it was not my passion. At this time in my life, so caught in "stability" and "making money" and "omg is my boyfriend cheating on me" (i'll save that for a different day), I had no idea what my passion was.
So, sometime in my last two years of college I started running to relieve stress and obsessively focus on something other than books for a couple hours each day (type-A remember). At this same time my dessert obsession and love for cooking was born. But, mostly, at least in my mind, I thought I was just being a good girlfriend by learning to cook.
Meanwhile, I continued running, studying, cooking and, ultimately, applied to a handful of pharmacy programs.
I was rejected...from each and every school. I was devastated. Didn't I just work 5 years for this? Wasn't this my life plan? What do I do now? I HAD A PLAN!
Meanwhile I was broke. I needed a job. So I did what every other college graduate did- apply anywhere and everywhere since, you know, it was the middle of the recession and jobs were going like hotcakes. Since I lived in the Bay Area, I decided to take my chances and apply to Stanford University for a position in research. By some miracle I got the job.
You guys, I was miserable --> don't hit me. I did know how lucky I was. Stanford was fantastic and my coworkers were amazing, but I very quickly realized I was not put on this planet to spend my life in a windowless lab. So, my (now) husband and I came up with a new plan. Unlike all my previous plans, however, this was the first plan I shared with another person. And, it was the first plan that wasn't really a plan at all.
We decided to pack up our things, put it in storage and buy a one-way ticket to SE Asia. Aside from tickets and information about when our visas would expire in each country we visited, we had no plan and no timeline. We went where we wanted, when we wanted. For the first time ever, I just went with it (even if I did talk and talk and talk) about travel plans and future plans the entire time we were there.
Baby steps.
After more than a year spent in SE Asia, a few months in the US and the rest of the time in Europe, it was time for a baby. My husband and I were engaged, serious and ready. Plus, I was twenty seven (ha!) though I was still planning my next trip and my next adventure (something I will do until the day I die because travel took a piece of my heart that I will never get back).
So what does this have to do with food blogging?
Everything.
Thanks to some painful rejection, my experience traveling, and my plan, ultimately, not happening, I discovered my love of blogging, trying new and exciting foods and, most importantly, I realized what I had known all along (even if I had stuffed it away)--- my passion for photography.
So, after my son was born I started blogging again (I blogged previously at Lost&Found, a travel blog). Coffee and Crayons started as a mommy blog and slowly transitioned to a food blog. If you had told me 10 years ago that I would have been food blogger I would have laughed (after asking for an explanation of what a blogger actually does) and then I would have asked how that is a real job.
It's real. More real and more all-consuming than I could have possibly imagined. But, it's my passion and my love and the 40-50+ hours a week I spend cooking, cleaning, photographing, styling, shopping, writing, editing, learning, researching, networking, emailing, etc. is so completely worth it.
My mother always said to me, "Jess, you are so creative. You have such a good eye for things. I see you doing something where you can express these talents.".
Mother knows best.
To celebrate finding my niche, I am celebrating with this Colorful Spring Cheese Board. Yes it's true that I love cookies and cake, but I will take any excuse I can to eat a table-full of colorful fruits, delicious cheeses, salty meats and carbs.
And wine. Let's not forget the wine.
Today I'm celebrating with Wente Wine. Located in Livermore, California, Wente Winery is just over the hill from Sacramento. The Wente Vineyards brand is one that dates back more than 130 years and five generations as the country’s oldest continuously operated family-owned winery.
With spring in the air Wente’s selection of white wines including Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc are the perfect addition to any celebration.
Learn more about Wente Vineyards and explore their different wine varieties.
Living in the Bay Area or planning a trip this way? Make a visit and try their wine for yourself or take a class and mix your own!
Or, just make a cheese board. Not even joking, it was probably the most fun I've had in a long time from start to finish (shopping, chopping, styling, photographing and eating).

Combine all ingredients for the yogurt dip in a small bowl and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Store in the refrigerator until ready to eat and serve along side the cheese board.
FOR THE CHEESE BOARD
There is no real instruction for this part. Simply place the food on a big cutting board or other food-safe surface and allow people to help themselves. Have fun!
Enjoy!
So friends, when Wente says, “We don’t make wine because we have to, we do it because we love to", I totally get it. I don't have to be a food blogger; I love being a food blogger (and sharing this space and my stories with each and every one of you!)
As always, thank you for reading :)

Perspective (July 2015)
I am writing this sat in the tranquil setting of my hotel balcony in Lanzarote. It’s barely 5am, if I’m honest, and I’ve not slept very well. This aside, I’ve been meaning to sit down and write this for weeks now. So here goes..
Tumblr media
With a limited view of the sea from where I sit, my two young children and wife Jane are still sleeping in the the hotel room for a little while longer yet. As the warm night is soon to turn
into another gloriously sunny day, it will feature more eating, drinking, lots of suncream, fun by the pool, children’s entertainment and a mandatory walk to the nearest town where you find yourself searching for a bargain- as you’re still convinced that things are cheaper abroad, even in this current economic climate.
Of course, all of the above will (like the certainty of the sun itself set to rise as I type this) be surely preceded by the daily ‘sun bed steeple chase’ around 8.00am!
Anyway, like I say, the view is limited and even if I had paid more for a better ‘sea view’ room I would surely still only see as far as the horizon. This got me thinking that, as with my own life, the same perspective could be applied. Currently, in this July day 2015, no scientific research or scientist of any kind could tell me for certain what is beyond the horizon I see ahead of me. My point here is that all I will ever have, besides a sometimes useful source of reference which is my past, is ‘now’.
Since my diagnosis back in 2011 it is the present day, in terms of what I can do today and tomorrow, which I have certainly come to value more than ever because of Parkinson’s. That is the only thing which I really feel Parkinson’s or another similar life-altering happening gives you; which is a weird sense of 'knowing what’s coming’. Obviously, this is a myth. But internally, like a religious belief or something else, it is a 'real thing’. If you use it in the right way it can be an empowering gift to utilise to better your life in terms of perspective. When you get given the gift you never wanted, which is Parkinson’s Disease, it arrives unannounced at your door, flat-packed in a box labelled 'P’ and without any instructions whatsoever to refer to as to how the finished construction will look. At this point, the natural thing to do would be to take the unwanted gift back to the shop and exchange it for something which you really would like. But this item is non returnable, non refundable and certainly can’t be exchanged for something 'better’. Call it fate, destiny or just plain old bad luck - whatever this is its most definitely your box. The contents are yours to keep and to start piecing together without any instructions or guidance on how best to go about it.
Tumblr media
So this is the crucial point, like any construction project.
You can choose one of two paths: (1) Go blindly onwards and almost fool yourself into thinking that you are fine with it and blatantly ignore the small print on the box stating: 'Chronic and Degenerative- handle with care’. (2) You can step back, ask questions, fact-find and talk it out with those who matter most or, alternatively, you may have someone who has been through this before. After all, this isn’t just your disease; it will affect your nearest and dearest more than you will ever know. Even if you don’t have many people around you when you unpack the box, it’s really important that you have a good relationship with your Neurologist, email their secretaries, sort out your prescriptions so that they run smoothly between GP and pharmacy without any shortfalls (trust me, it will happen!) and, most importantly, that you hopefully find you have the God given gift of a Parkinson’s Specialist Nurse in your vicinity. Trust me, they are wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable about the disease and it’s realities. Before I go any further, you must take what I have just said in the last paragraph with an open mind and please don’t read it as gospel. Being four years down the line gives you the luxury of hindsight and a developed sense of perspective. However, I can genuinely say that around the time of diagnosis, and the short-term initial period which follows, you can go down either of the two paths I mention. At times I certainly, and on many occasions, strayed onto the other path and then hopped back again with mixed results. I am currently in a good place with my Parkinson’s. After four years it is not getting any better and I am a very different person as a result. But I am generally a positive person and happy with my lot - even if it has extra baggage attached. Everyone in life will have their own personal struggles, health related or otherwise, to contend with and I am no different. It’s how you react to the things in life which 'happen to you’ that’s important. With the bombshell of Parkinson’s, flat packed and lacking instructions, it will be down to you the way in which the foundations, supporting beams etc are all positioned and bolted in place, which is going to have a knock on effect further on down the road - in terms of how the building is used and also in its internal strength and longevity. At this pivotal stage, the way in which you choose to unpack the unwanted gift, lay it’s contents out in front of you, or how you think you might use it once built - not forgetting who you have around to help you at that time in this lifelong building process, are all crucial factors. Being diagnosed four years ago this very month, and without knowing it at the time, I can truly and unashamedly tell you how proud I am of the way myself and those closest to me have managed to keep my 'build’ mainly constant and moving in an upward trajectory. Proud, yes. But I would also be lying if I failed to mention here the times when it was 'tools down’ on more than one occasion in the four years since diagnosis. I have cried alone, together with Jane, had long supportive discussions with work colleagues and spent what must now be by now countless hours accumulated just 'thinking’. I have so much more in my life than Parkinson’s and, in the most part, some of my proudest achievements and personal accomplishments have happened since July 2011. Anyway, that’s my 'Perspective’. What’s yours?
When I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s I knew nothing (I am still learning). Of course, life is a road of discovery. It just so happens that I know, for a fact, my journey down that long and winding road (thanks Paul McCartney) will feature Parkinson’s and I am gradually adjusting my life and my physical ability in accordance with 'it’. I have no choice in the matter but I can choose now how I plan to to use its powerful influence over my body, family and career. I hope you manage this too.
Lastly, you may have wondered why I am up so early in the morning? Well it’s the usual Parkinson’s night-related problems (which I will explore in another post).
Anyway, a restless nights sleep has its own unique benefits, particularly whist on holiday. I may be slow and behind the everyday pace of my fellow 'dopamine rich’ humans but one advantage to having a pretty rotten nights sleep is that I always get my towels on the sun bed of choice by 7am! 😎 Anyhow, I’m off to wake the kids..
Tumblr media
I hope my words here make sense and offer a perspective on the disease which helps to explain what it’s like to be me. If you are reading this and you have the disease, then I hope that you find the obvious similarities in my experiences in your own personal journey with the disease.
Until next time, keep on the sunny side of life!

2019 tax return filing checklist, including the documents itemizers need to fill out Schedule A
The individual tax filing season doesn't officially open until Jan. 27, but you're ready to file your taxes.
Or are you?
Tax filing, whether you do it yourself via tax software that you buy, use online or access via Free File or hand off the annual task to a tax pro, requires its own specific preparation.
You've got to have all your tax-related documentation before you can start filling out that Form 1040.
Here's a checklist of forms and documents you'll need to complete your taxes, as well as a look at tax situations you need to consider before filing.
Yes, it's long. But going into your tax filing properly prepared will pay off, both in making sure you get all the tax breaks you're due and by ensuring that you don't make a 1040 mistake that could cost you.
Start with last year: Your 2018 return you filed last year was the first one under the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).
Yes, a couple of tax things have changed and yes, the Internal Revenue Service has (or will) tweaked the forms. But that last 1040 and any of its six new schedules you used are a great preview of what you're likely to see this filing season.
You'll also want to dig out that copy of last year's state tax filing if you live in a state that collects an income tax.
These old forms will be particularly helpful if your personal and financial life didn't change much in 2019 from 2018. They'll give you a good idea of what to expect this time round, especially what forms you'll need to do your taxes.
Plus, these documents will have some data — for example, Social Security numbers (yours, your spouse's and any dependents' identification digits) and bank account info if you want your refund directly deposited — that you'll need again this year.
Gather perennial filing documents: The world, tax and otherwise, largely has gone digital. That should help you in the gathering of the tax and financial documents that you'll need to fill out your taxes.
Most third-party tax reporters — these are the folks that let you and the IRS know how much money you made at your job, either full-time or as a freelancer, and how much unearned income you got from investments — must get you this relevant income info by Jan. 31.
Some documents, however, come sooner, especially if you've opted to receive this data electronically.
So instead of or in addition to dogging your mail carrier, check your email inbox or go directly to those accounts online for this data. Then download it a special tax filing folder.
Among the documents you of particular tax-filing note are:
W-2 forms reporting your wages and W-2G for gambling winnings if you had a really good time in Las Vegas.
Various 1099s with sundry income amounts. These include 1099-R for retirement distributions; 1099-INT for interest earned; 1099-DIV for investment dividends; 1099-B for brokerage sales; 1099-G for state tax refunds or other government payments; and 1099-MISC for independent contractor and other types of, as the alphabetic extension indicates, miscellaneous income.
Some 1098s, such as 1098-T that students will need to calculate education tax credit eligibility; 1098-E with potentially deductible student loan interest payment amounts; or the plain old Form 1098 for homeowners with mortgage interest, loan points and, in some cases, payments made toward private mortgage insurance (PMI) real estate taxes. Note that your PMI itemized deduction was resurrected by the federal spending/tax extenders bill signed into in law last December.
Don't forget more specialized filing material: Every filer's tax situation is unique. That's why you could need tax info in addition to the usual forms that applies to your particular financial circumstances and tax-filing needs.
Considerations here include:
Records of estimated tax payments you made for both your federal and state taxes.
The amount of tips or other gratuities you received as part of your job. You should have been keeping records of these amounts, especially if you've had to report them each month (as noted in the ol' blog's tax moves column there to the right) to your employer.
Any unemployment benefits you received. Among the government payments detailed on the aforementioned Form 1099-G are these payments you received. Yes, that's considered taxable income (sorry) and it has to be included on your 1040.
Did you move for a job last year? Sorry, you probably aren't going to be able to count on Uncle Sam to help cover your relocation costs. This above-the-line deduction is still around, but tax reform made the tax break available only to members of the Armed Forces.
Distributions from retirement accounts, depending on the type of plan you have, could be taxable. Double check income statements for your workplace retirement and/or IRA withdrawals, as well as your Social Security benefits if you're now getting those payments.
If you're still contributing to your retirement plan, is any of it deductible? Have your statement of these amounts to help you decide. Don't forget about plans you've set up if you're self-employed, whether as your full-time work or as side hustles. These contributions also can be used to reduce your tax bill, so have those statements handy, too.
Did you and your spouse separate or get divorced last year? Then a TCJA change to alimony could come into play this filing season. For divorces and separation agreements finalized after 2018 (that's tax-speak for "in tax-year 2019"), alimony payments are not deductible for the payer or counted as taxable income to the recipient. However, if your divorce was finalized pre-2019, you're grandfathered into the old system: alimony is still deductible, again as an above-the-line deduction, to the payer and still counts as income to the ex-spouse getting the payments. So be sure you have the paperwork showing the year of your marital split and, as long as they haven't made any modifications to that prior dissolution agreement, the amount paid/received for tax deduction/payment purposes.
Getting to know the tax you: OK, you have the paperwork, statements and official tax forms or IRS-approved substitutes.
Don't, however, start working on your taxes just yet.
You also need to take a look at your life last year and answer a few questions that could have tax implications. They include:
Which deduction method do you plan to use, claiming the standard amount for your filing status or itemizing? You're not locked into the deduction choice you made last year. You can change it each year, depending on your most recent financial and tax circumstances.
Do you have any unresolved state or IRS tax issues?
Did you get married or divorced last year? This will affect, among other things, your filing status.
Are you supporting anyone not living with you?
Are you providing the majority of financial support for someone who is living with you?
Did you have a child last year? Was that new family addition adopted or the adoption process begun last year? Again, among many other child-related tax matters, this could affect your filing status.
Did you pay for a dependent child's (or another dependent's) care so you could go to work?
Did you receive any assistance from your employer to pay for education expenses, child care costs or adoption expenses?
Did you or any member of your household pay any college costs?
Did you hire household help?
Did you make any major improvements to your home?
Did you sell, refinance or face any foreclosure transactions on your personal residence?
Do you own a second residence or any other real estate? If so, did you rent it out last year? The length of those rental periods could affect your tax bill.
How old are you? And how hard is it for you to read this? Your answers could affect the amount of standard deduction you can claim or even the form you file.
Did you retire? If you're collecting a private pension payout, you should get a Form 1099-R cited earlier. If you're also getting Social Security benefits, be on the lookout for your 1099-SSA. Also remember that some of your government retirement money could be taxable.
Were you a resident of, or did you have income in, more than one state during the year?
Did you have money in a foreign account?
Did you make any large purchases, such as a vehicle?
Did you have any nonresidential debt that was canceled?
Did you serve in the military? If so, did you receive combat pay?
Did you have health care coverage? Did you buy your medical insurance through the marketplace, either the federal one or your state's marketplace?
I didn't mean to pry, but the tax fact is that that there's really never too much information to take into account when it comes to filling out your annual return. Or planning for next year's taxes, but that's another post.
Some new heath care considerations: Now about your health care coverage….
Technically, the TCJA left in place the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirement that we must have minimally acceptable health insurance, either through our employers, federal or state exchanges or by buying it yourself.
However, the TCJA took the teeth out of that mandate. It eliminated the ACA's shared responsibility penalty that had been assessed when folks opted not to buy acceptable coverage for themselves and, if applicable, their families.
So you no longer have to worry about owing Uncle Sam more if you didn't have health insurance. You also don't have to mess with checking the box on your return reporting your coverage.
Note, however, that this is only on the federal level. Some states still penalize their residents who do not have adequate health insurance.
And even though the penalty is gone, still be on the lookout for the a Form 1095-B or Form 1095-C, the statements issued by health care insurance issuers or companies (B for smaller businesses, C for larger ones), to confirm that you had medical insurance through your workplace. Keep these for your records.
As for folks who decided to keep or buy a so-called Obamacare medical policy last year through the federal or a state marketplace, the ACA and tax law remains the same for 2019 tax year purposes.
That means you'll need to make sure you get your Form 1095-A, officially titled the Health Insurance Marketplace Statement. This form has information you'll need if you're eligible for the premium tax credit, also known as the federal subsidy.
That tax break still is in effect and it can help you pay for the ACA coverage that you got through the marketplace or reconcile any advance subsidy payments you received.
Schedule A specific information: Now for folks who answered "itemizing" to the deduction method question. This choice could have a major impact on the filing documents you need.
The TCJA almost doubled the standard deduction amounts, so more taxpayers are expected to use this easier-to-claim deduction method this (and future) filing seasons.
But if you do find that itemizing still works better for you (and some of us still do), take note of the new law's Schedule A changes and what you now need (or won't need) to complete it.
Note, as of this item's posting on Jan. 8, the IRS hadn't updated the 2019 Schedule A (as you'll discover if you click the form link below) to reflect the extenders law change enacted on Dec. 22, 2019. So for now I'm using the 2018 form pictured above.
Here's a breakdown, using the new Schedule A as a guide, of what's still deductible and what you need to claim the expenses.
Medical These expenses survived the first major tax reform in more than 30 years. And the TCJA enhanced them a bit. Under the ACA, the threshold for deductions was supposed to go to 10 percent of adjusted gross income, but it was held at the prior-law 7.5 percent of AGI level for all filers, regardless of age. The extenders measure approved last month continued that percentage through the 2020 tax year. So on your 2019 (and 2020) return, you still can claim allowable doctor, dentist and a variety of health care related costs that are more than 7.5 percent of your AGI.
Regardless of the tax year or deductible threshold percentage, you'll still need records of your IRS-allowable medical expenditures. You don't have to submit those documents, but you'll want then if the IRS questions your claims. This includes prescriptions, doctor office visit payments, dental care costs, hospital bills, medical insurance premiums as long as they aren't paid at work via pretax dollars, long-term care insurance premiums and the mileage to and from physicians' offices.
State and local taxes (SALT) As homeowners with expensive residences already know, this part of the "Taxes You Paid" section of Schedule A didn't fare as well under TCJA. You still can claim the taxes you paid to your state and local tax collectors, including income or sales taxes — remember, can't deduct both; you must choose sales or income taxes to claim — along with real estate and personal property taxes, but there's now a limit. Only a maximum of $10,000 in state and local taxes, known by the acronym SALT, can be counted here.
IRS regulations issued last year also blocked state charitable workarounds to this limit. And four states that sued on the grounds that the SALT limitation is unconstitutional lost in federal court. They are appealing, (as are those still fighting the workaround battle), but the legal system won't work quickly enough to affect your 2019 return filing.
For most folks not living in high-tax states or expensive neighborhoods, the 10-grand SALT deduction cap shouldn't be a problem. And if you're not near the limit and are claiming sales taxes, don't forget about adding in any state or local sales tax that was tacked on to a major purchase, such as a car, boat or airplane.
Your state and local officials should provide you with receipts or similar documents detailing the taxes you can claim. If you want to add up your sales taxes yourself rather than use the optional state sales tax table amounts the IRS provides in the Schedule A instructions, you'll need all those receipts, too.
Interest This mainly applies to homeowners, who still can claim the deductible interest on their mortgage. This will be reported on the previously mentioned Form 1098 or an IRS acceptable substitute document.
Note, however, that the limit on the amount of home loan on which you can claim this deduction was reduced under the new tax law. Instead of interest on home indebtedness up to $1 million, you now can deduct only the interest on home loan amounts up to $750,000. Don't panic, though, if you have an older, larger home mortgage. If you got the loan on or before Dec. 15, 2017, your itemized mortgage interest claim is grandfathered in at the prior $1 million level.
One area, however, where more folks might take a deduction hit is with interest on home equity loans or home equity lines of credit (HELOC). These used to be fully deductible. Under TCJA, however, no matter when you got such a home-secured debt, the interest cannot be claimed if the proceeds were used for something else, say to pay your children's college tuition. This loan interest now is deductible only when the loan or HELOC proceeds are used to buy, build or improve the property used to secure the loan.
And thanks to the late-2019 Congressional action on extenders, the option to claim any private mortgage insurance (PMI) premiums is still available. It counts for tax purposes as mortgage interest and should be detailed on your home loan's 1098 statement.
Charitable gifts This itemized deduction is still on Schedule A and you can even give more that before if you're able because the deduction limit for gifts to public charities is increased from 50 percent to 60 percent of AGI. But you still need to follow the other rules, like getting contemporaneous substantiation — a receipt — for any contribution of $250 or more. In fact, get receipts from all the nonprofits to which you give regardless of how large or small your donation.
And since donation deductions still must be claimed as an itemized expenses, many folks are looking at other tax-related philanthropic strategies.
Casualty and theft losses This section is still on Schedule A, but now also is more restricted. You can only claim losses related to a federally declared disaster. In addition to the documentation of the losses and expenses not paid by insurance toward recovery, you'll also have to include the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) number and the location of property against which the tax claim is being made.
Other itemized deductions  This section for reporting specific itemized deductions gets a lot of attention because it's where you enter your gambling losses. This includes, among other things, the cost of losing bingo, lottery and raffle tickets, horse and dog racing slips and the money you dropped at the poker table or roulette wheel at your favorite casino. Obviously, you'll need to keep good track of these expenditures. Remember, though, that your losses can only offset the amount of winnings you got during the tax year, some of which were on the W-2G form mentioned earlier. You can't claim losses to produce a loss on your taxes.
And note that this section does not include those myriad expenses that used to be classified on pre-TCJA Schedule A as miscellaneous expenses. Those write-offs, generally for unreimbursed work-related expenses (either spent on the job you have or in looking for a new one), are gone.
Ready, set, wait to file: Whew! That's a lot of pre-filing stuff to consider regardless of whether you use Schedule A or take the easier standard deduction route.
It's also a lot of documentation to gather or track down, regardless of whether you plan to file your taxes yourself or deliver the material to your tax preparer.
But even if you think you have everything, think again.

With the official start of tax filing season 2020 a couple of weeks away (you did mark Jan. 27 on your calendar, right?), you still have time to make sure your pre-filing preparation is thorough.
Don't slack off here. Getting the documents and data you need beforehand will make the actual form filing easier.
And if you don't have the documents you need by Jan. 27, then take a breath. Remember, statements issuers have a few more days (until Jan. 31) to get the statements to you.
It might be hard, especially if you're expecting a refund, but just be patient and wait until you have all the information you need to file a complete and accurate return. You don't want to pay the price of filing an incomplete or inaccurate return too soon.
Did I overlook any tax documents or filing situations to consider before you sit down, whether by yourself or with your tax pro, to fill out your 1040? If so, please let me know in the comments section below.
