im having thoughts and thinking things and i cannot put them coherently enough for a likr real post
#pondering leon's naivete in re2r and how he caused that reporter to die because of his dogged trust in a government that would go on to-#-ruin him and take that dogged trust and break it and show its perverse corrupted underbelly in the same night#'i have to talk to the chief first' bbgirl the chief has been bought out by a megacorp doing experiments on people . good luck#i love leons character progression a lot of people talk about how he was bright eyed and hopeful but i also think he was kinda disillusioned#at least about how effective and just the government is#and then having those beliefs ruptured and challenged in the most brutal way imaginable#just thrown right into the apex of the governments fuckups and as a result of surviving he has to continue to clean up their messes#or at least the ripples of their messes#no wonder hes so cynical and deppressed about his job and fighting bioterrorism#he knows hes just a weapon and a tool and i wonder how much he feels its a good penance for his fumbling in raccoon city#doing the governments bidding like hed wanted to as a cop just now with the knowledge of what that truly entails#stream of consciousness ill think about this more later#b0n3s b4bbl3s
