The parts of “The Great War” Taylor kept in the mashup are so interesting because yes, I know it’s condensed to tell a new story, and to fit thematically with DBATC, but cutting out the second verse takes out a lot of her lashing out at the subject’s pleas and kind of tells a different part of the story.
