A Weekend in Ibiza - Part 4 (final)
(Jude Bellingham smut fic)
(Part 1, Part 2, Part 3)
5.2k words. Jude*female reader. Smut & suggestive language. And many confused feelings.
A/n - When we don't get Jude holiday content (the kind with other women), we make shit up

................................................
You missed him.
Son of a bitch, you actually missed him.
Jude had left an hour after waking you up for an early morning tumble. It had been your idea, since he kept yapping in your ear after you two were done, with the typical annoying chirpiness of a morning person, while you just wanted to snuggle in the cozy sheets, & enjoy the pleasant relaxation washing over your muscles. So, you had nudged him to take care of whatever it was he needed to take care of and he had left, promising to return soon.
But now, you missed him. The room suddenly felt too big, too empty, too quiet without him.Â
His cologne was still all over you, on the pillow next to you. The sheets reeking of his scent. His belongings spread on the side-table - an expensive looking watch, an LV waist pouch, and a box of condoms.
Would it be downright pathetic to ping him for an ETA?
YES. Your inner voice chided you, loudly.
Remember what this is. What you are to him. The flavour of the week, if even that.Â
Fine, you were gonna wait. Let him take his sweet time. Youâd rather die than be accused of being clingy, especially in this context.
Itâs been 90 minutes, stop being so dramatic. Screamed your inner voice again.
You stretched your limbs before getting out of bed, sighing at the soreness. A hot bath was the need of the hour. And house keeping.
Twirling in front of the mirror in your new deep blue summer dress, another daring purchase for the trip, you wondered if heâd like this one.Â
Well, he had liked blue on you yesterday. A lot.
Heck, it DID NOT matter. It SHOULD NOT matter. You were dressing for yourself. To look good for yourself.Â
But a little bit for him too.
3 hours. Heâd been gone three hours now. It was already 10 am. You started to wonder if he was coming back at all. But he left his stuff? Well it wonât even be pocket change to him. Did he get bored already? Moved on to finer pastures?
Right on cue, the door opened, taking you by surprise. Jude emerged, in all his glory. Donning a loose multi-coloured unbuttoned summer shirt, with matching shorts. Chiselled abs on full display. The chest hair, with a trail going down into his shorts. And then there were those legs. Despite your annoyed state, you nearly salivated at the sight.Â
He was mumbling something about taking your keycard, in case you were still asleep. But you couldnât register a word. Senses too distracted to focus.
Jude had this air about him - a casual nonchalance, an unshakable confidence, an inherent swag. Used to getting his way in life. Making the world bend to his will. It was sexy as hell.Â
But it irked you too. Was it because he operated like he owned every room he walked into, and everyone in it? Or because you wanted to let him own you? You couldnât tell anymore.
âCould have knocked first.â
Jude cocked his head sideways at the comment, smirking mischievously, scanning you up & down. A sight for sore eyes. Blue really was your colour.
âNothing that I havenât seen already.â
But something heâd like to see a lot more of. All day today. The dress looked like a million dollars on you, but heâd still prefer it on the floor.
Your hands gripped your dress (a movement his eyes followed), to curb the shiver running down your arms. Even while being arrogant, he was still charming.
âSomeone else could have been here with me.â
You managed to find your wits, and shot back.Â
His whole demeanour changed. Features hardening, gaze intensifying, as he stepped closer. Subconsciously, you retreated, gasping when your back hit the desk. He stood toe to toe now, towering over you. Your fingers started fiddling aimlessly as you avoided his burning glare, realising you had touched a nerve. HARD.Â
The tension in the air reverberated through your body and you jumped when his large hands gripped your ass, kneading the exact spot he had spanked yesterday. The residual sting making you whimper & bite your lip, drawing his attention to your mouth.
Jude bent down, biting your earlobe, drawing another whimper, as he whispered in a low, raspy, menacing tone.
âI NEVER share whatâs MINE, especially when I have wanted it so much.â
You wobbled, and clutched his biceps for support, as his hand slid under your dress & found your dripping core.Â
âAlready?â
The tone was half-mocking, half-proud, as he cupped you over your panties, your legs spreading on their own accord to accommodate his hand. Then, with a measured move, he lightly slapped you there. Sending shockwaves through your nerves.
You mewled and fell forward onto his chest. Stunned & turned on beyond any fathomable limits. Moaning his name, sounding unabashedly needy.
That proved to be his undoing.Â
You found yourself bent over the desk, face down into the glass top, your dress yanked down & pushed up to pool at your waist, your hips adjusted to his preferred angle, your panties discarded somewhere, your hands struggling to find some kind of purchase on the glass, your shaky breaths making patterns on the sheer surface.
Vulnerable and spread open for him. Exactly as he liked.
A quick preparation with his fingers, and he was sliding inside you, groaning at the hot, tight squeeze of your walls, stretching you fully. Your back arched, as your body struggled to take him in. But he kept going, till he bottomed out.Â
Sounds of sex filled the room - your choked moans, his uneven grunts, his body slapping against yours, while yours slapped against the desk. Your nails scratched on the glass, his angles shooting sensations up & down your spine, hitting spots inside you didnât know existed. The rapid movement of your bare nipples pressed on the cold glass made you scream. Which brought him out of whatever trance he was in.
Jude paused instantly, bent down, & brought his face to the side of yours.
âWhatâs wrong?â
Words failed you. Somehow, you managed to point to your chest. He understood, bringing one arm underneath your breasts, shielding them from the glass. You whimpered at the relief. He stayed put, unmoving, panting over your neck.
âToo much? Should I stop?â
Your nervous shake of head was all the signal he needed. He went again, tad slower this time, but still rocking your world in a thousand different ways. Making you see stars & entire galaxies as your vision blurred. Your scream when you came was muffled by the glass, and you were far too overstimulated to register his groan as he climaxed soon after.
Jude put his hands on either side of you, half-bending, half-standing, still buried inside, as he came down from his high. Looking over your spent form.
As you stayed half passed out, few things became clear in your mind about him. 1) He was possessive to the hilt. 2) He liked to take from behind when he was in the mood for fucking / hard sex. Face to face was for softer, calmer, gentler situations, like this morning. 3) He was as much a boobs guy as an ass guy. 4) Football wasnât his only natural gift, to the point it was unfair to other men. No way they could compare to the whole package that was him, and he knew that all too well. 5) His dominance and aggression didnât end on the football pitch, he brought it to bed too.
Lost in these thoughts, you didnât register when he carried you bridal-style to bed, looked you over for any bruises (he was kicking himself hard for not factoring in the glass top properly), cleaned you & tucked the blanket over you.
Only coming to your senses when you were pulled against a hard muscular body, laying on your side, his arms wrapped around you, his cheek caressing yours, as you heard him mutter softly.
âSay something. Please.â
Jude had been half-hard before he walked in, the hours away were literal physical torture. Then that dress, and especially your comment made him tip over the edge. He hadnât planned to be rough, not so soon in the day at least. Definitely not after last night.
You sighed as he showered you with forehead kisses, somehow re-discovering your voice.
âYou snore in your sleep.â
Amused, he turned his face slightly to look at you, then laughed an infectious laugh, his whole body shaking with the sensation, as he squeezed you lightly in his hold, bringing a smile to your tired face.
âWell, we have already established you are a liar.â
âPlease, have the others not told you this?â
He didnât usually sleep in the same bed with the others all night, not so soundly anyway. Even on some rare occasions, he parted ways swiftly in the morning, without much conversation. What was happening right now was not the norm, it was a massively astronomical exception. Something he was still struggling to wrap his head around.
âStay a few days more?â
That came out of nowhere, even for him.Â
She turned her head, looking at him oddly.
âCanât. Work calls.â
âSay youâre sick. Or, if your boss likes football, tell him he can have season tickets in whichever stadium he wants.â
You rose up on your elbows, to laugh at his silliness. But he looked sincere so you changed tact.
âClearly you havenât worked in a corporate before.â
He hadnât. And that effectively shut him up on the topic.
Few lazy minutes passed in silence. Your fingers traced patterns on his chest, half laying over him, while his fingers carded through your open messy hair.
âYou really donât do this, do you?â
He didnât need to elaborate. You understood he was referring to casual sex.
âI meant what I said earlier. Every word.â
âThen why this? Why me?â
He sounded sincere, not trying to fish for compliments or anything, genuinely curious to know.
Because it became physically impossible to resist you.
âAn adventure I guess.â
You shrugged, trying to not give away anything more. Anything real. Anything about the state of desperation he had put you in.
He hummed, as he mulled over it.
âAnd this trip was an adventure too?â
This time you didnât need to lie.
âKinda. Work was getting a bit much. Needed this mini escape.â
âMe too.â
He blurted out, again out of nowhere. Jude started to wonder if he was coming down with some kind of bug or something.Â
âLike how?â
He had sworn not to dwell on this, to leave it behind on the field, like he had promised his mum. But it was easier said than done.Â
You sensed the heaviness in the air, and in his mood. Your hand moved to his face, stroking it gently, nudging him to continue. He accepted the comfort, leaning into your palm.
âLost a very important final for my country. Couldnât play my best. Failed them.â
You didnât know what to say to that. It must have been hard to deal with, and almost impossible to forget.Â
âWell, you have a long journey ahead. Second chances will come.â
He shut his eyes, not wanting to reveal the heartbreak. But his expressive face did the talking.Â
âThis was the second chance. A third chance rather. And we blew it. I blew it. They wonât forgive me.â
His face contorted, and he sank further into the mattress.
The words clutched at your heart, and his pain hurt your soul. Deeply.
âHeyyyy, look at me.â
He didnât. He couldnât. Still too raw inside.
You climbed on top of him and smothered his perfectly symmetrical face with kisses, every inch of it, slowly. Then moved to his lips, giving them a quick peck, which he reciprocated. Moving below, you brushed your lips against his long neck, as his hands unfisted from the sheet, wrapping around your waist. Your whole body weight was on him now, which he seemed to welcome.
But he was still hiding from you, behind closed lids.
Your thumbs massaged the frown lines on his forehead, soothing them, as you bit the tip of his nose affectionately. He sighed, a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth.
âIf you care this much, then youâll make it happen again. And this time, youâll go over the line. Just need to keep believing and working for it.â
Finally, he popped his eyes open, flashing a delicate, hopeful smile. You smiled back and leaned in to peck his nose again, but pulled you in for a deep passionate kiss, only breaking it when he sensed your breathlessness, & let you roll off of him.Â
Jude turned to his side, eyes roaming your spent form (you hadnât even bothered to pull up the blanket), as his warm hand splayed on your stomach.
âWe need to work on your stamina.â
Offended, you tried to push him away, but he stayed put & giggled at your meek efforts.Â
âWell, I am not a professional athlete, hello? AndâŠ.I donât do all thisâŠ.stuffâŠnowhere as frequently as you. So, I am good, thanks.â
âBut what if someday you want to try more?â
Irritated, you decided to get back at him, knowing he wonât be able to retaliate given his guilt over your exhausted state.
âYeah, like what? A threesome maybe?â
That wiped the smile off his face. Good start, then.
âNot gonna lie, itâs always been a fantasy having both of these (you pointed to your tits) sucked simultaneously.â
Jude had recovered enough to catch on to your little game by now.Â
âCareful, doll.â
You ignored him completely. Having tasted blood, you couldnât stop, going for the kill.
âAnyone from your entourage, maybe? Or a teammate? Cama looked cute on your Insta, is he here byâŠâ
Jude didnât let you finish. In a flash, he was on top of you, pinning your hands over your head as his mouth claimed yours in a punishing kiss. You squirmed under him, to no avail.Â
âThreesome huh?
He barked in between demanding kisses.
âYou barely take ME fully and you want another man? Tell me, how will you take two together? WHERE will the other one go?â
For the second time today, you realised you had bitten more than you could chew. The bear had been well & truly poked.
âHere?â
He shoved two fingers in your mouth, past your gag reflex. Eyes wild, showing you what he was picturing.
You shook your head from side to side, desperate to hold on to at least some of your erstwhile principles. And panted when he withdrew his fingers.
His hand slid behind you, poking at the back entrance. Your whole body jolted at the touch, and the implication, as you tried to peel his hand away.
âNo? Didnât think so.â
Next, he gruffly squeezed your boobs close, admiring the valley in between.
âNow this is tempting, but still not enough to climax. Which leaves this.â
Jude grabbed your right hand, looking straight into your flustered eyes. Challenge loud & clear in his animalistic gaze.
You wanted to run. At the same time, you wanted to meet him head on, to wrestle the control back.
He could tell you were considering it, and pounced on the opportunity, dragging your hand to his briefs, over his crotch. You both gasped at the touch.
âYes? Say yes.â
You couldnât deny him. You didnât wanna deny yourself either, curious about what heâd feel like.
The moment you nodded, he ripped away his briefs, and brought your hand back over his already excited member, covering it with his. Guiding your motions.
Your eyes widened at the feel of him - he hadnât put on a condom this time, wanting you skin to skin. No barriers.
âCome here doll, let me show you.â
Jude proved to be a good teacher. And you had always been a good student. Keen, curious, eager, fast learner. And in this specific instance, deeply enchanted with a gorgeously horny boy, therefore extra motivated to be good for him.
Going by his grunts, you WERE good. Considering the way his eyes were rolling to the back of his head, you were better than good. He grabbed your face and smashed his lips to yours, cursing into your mouth, while his hand continued to guide yours, going at a frantic pace now.
Throughout, you couldnât sway your eyes from his face. Every little twitch imprinted deep into your mind, a core memory even. One could climax just looking at him like that. If you werenât so sore & spent right nowâŠ.
âFUCKING HELL.â
He came with a groan. Splashing everywhere. Making a complete filthy mess of the sheets. And of you.
He panted against your lips, slowly calming down, plopping back on the pillow. While you remained dazed by what you had just done & witnessed.
After a few minutes, he gathered you in his arms again, carrying you to the shower. You welcomed the comfort of hot water, and the support of his body engulfing yours, keeping you from crumbling. The sight of him under the water, all wet & glistening, was pornographic. Another memory stored for life.
A nap seemed super enticing post the shower. Wrapped in bath robes, limbs intertwined, you both fell into a relaxing sleep. When you woke up, it was time for lunch. Jude knew the drill by now, quietly hiding in the washroom when the waiter came with the tray. Both had built an appetite, so the food felt extra delicious.
Post lunch, you cleared out a few emails on your laptop, preparing for tomorrow, while he sat next to you, watching some pre-season match on TV, head resting over your shoulder. It was impairing the movement of your arm as you typed but you were never going to make him move.Â
âSo, where do you work?â
You paused, and gave him a side-eye.
âYou are not supposed to know.â
âJeez, I mean which city.âÂ
âAmsterdam for the next 5 weeks. Then, back home.â
âAnd whereâs home?â
âFar away. Not in Europe.â
You kept typing, eyes firmly on the screen, and Jude understood he wasnât going to get anything more than this.
âWherever it is, I could fly you out, you know.â
âWhat does that mean?â
âFly you out, to Madrid. To be with me. Whenever we want.â
To be his booty call is what he meant. Now you understood. Is that what he did with others too? All part of some playbook? Well, she wasnât going to become another entry in the long list of girls he had at his beck and call.Â
âJude, I told you this was going to be just one weekend. Then we go back to our lives.â
âI know, but, why is that set it stone?â
âBecause this is not me. I canât go about my life while still doing this.â
âBut why?Â
âWhy? Because I donât recognise the person I am right now. I am not so rash, carefree, whimsical, BOLD. This is an anomaly. And for what itâs worth, I like who I am in my real life. I have my own little world that I am content with. My own principles, which I stand by. Taking an 8-10 hr flight for hook-ups does not really fit into my scheme of things. Iâd much rather wait for a real relationship, stick to my beliefs.â
Jude listened intently, soaking in every said and unsaid thing, trying to get to the root of what was getting you so riled up.
But he had always been a straightforward person. Didnât like living with regrets. Go after what you want was his mantra.
âDo you like the person you are right now, with me?â
You stared open mouthed, connecting the dots of how he was trying to check-mate you.
âI am not gonna play this game with you.â
âItâs not a game. Maybe the universe is sending you a message.â
âI highly doubt the universe would be messaging me to keep hooking up with you. Universe has better things to do than that.â
âHas this been so forgettable for you, then?â
He knocked the wind out of your chest with the poignance of his words and the disarming vulnerability of his voice. You felt lightheaded, and reached for his arm to steady yourself. Your tone softened.
âI - I never said that. Never meant that.â
âThen why are you so cross with me? Looking at me like that. Was it so wrong to want to see you again?â
You scooted closer, towards his body heat, and rested your head on his shoulder.
âDidnât mean to. I guess shit just got too real when you said that.â
And because you hadnât still fully come to terms with the choices you had made this weekend. Deciding to continue it will not let it remain an anomaly, and will go against everything you believe in. No, you canât fall for this. Will have to resist the temptation that was this man. Cut the chord this weekend, for the sake of your sanity. And return to normalcy. Never letting a single soul know what happened here.
He was quiet. And still. Processing the rejection. You climbed into his lap, cupped his jaw, gazing into his turbulent eyes.
âWe still have half a day. Letâs not spoil our remaining time together?â
He didnât say anything, just looked at you with a blank expression, and you threw your arms around his shoulders, hugging him close. Feeling a strange sense of guilt. But you hadnât done anything wrong, this had always been the arrangement. He was anyway going to get bored of this (you) soon even if you had agreed to continue. This was for the best. A clean cut.
Then why was it eating away at you? Making your insides churn?
âPlease, Jude. Please, just..â
You snuggled your head into the crook of his neck, and felt his arms settle around you. He lifted you out of his lap and made you lay on your back, as his eyes roamed over you. And his mind worked extra time to arrive at a decision. You waited patiently.
âHow much do you like this dress?â
A lot.
âDo whatever you want.â
He tore it off, ripping with force, taking his frustration out on it. Laying you bare for him.
But he wasnât rough. No, what happened over the next hour was more intense than even any BDSM out there.Â
Because, Jude made love to you. Worshipped your body. Touched you in ways that was ruining you for other men. Whispered such things in your ear that no other voice would ever be good enough. Looked at you with such longing & passion that you could see your image in his honeyed orbs. Kissed you so fervently that you were becoming addicted to his lips. Sucked your boobs so thoroughly that you almost came just from that. Ate you out with such determination like his life depended on it. Fucked you to oblivion, to the point you thought you were getting a stroke. Made you peak over & over, like he was trying to set a new record in the history of mankind.Â
All while never breaking eye contact with you, never letting you slip away or hide from him.
You could tell he was proving a point, showing you what you would be missing out on. That the two of you still had a lot more to discover together. That only he could make you feel a certain way. And that sex with him can be like this also - more, different, real. Not just a sating of lust.
But you had to stay strong. Because if you fall, itâs gonna be a slippery slope. A bottomless pit. You had so much more to lose in this, because he clearly was not ready for anything more. Even if he didnât fully realise that, you could tell as much. And this half-in, half-out arrangement would be a recipe for disaster in your life.
As your sweaty bodies laid intertwined with each others, basking in the afterglow, you couldnât resist placing little kisses on his chest, earning sweet sighs from him.
It was almost evening now. Only a few more hours left with him.Â
You had to pack, book your cab to the airport, do your web checkin. And call home - since you had been practically MIA for two days. So much to do, but you couldnât move from his side. Just a few more mins like this.
Finally, you got up, moving around the room to gather your stuff. While he laid on his stomach, towards the edge of the bed, arms crossed & tucked under his chin, just watching you silently.
âYouâŠdonât have to stay if you are getting bored, you know.â
âDo you want me to leave?â
You zipped your bag and kneeled in front of him, cupping his cheeks with both hands.
âI want you to stay.â
âI want you to stay too.â
You sighed, pressing your foreheads together, unable to respond in any other way. Because there was nothing to say.
âHow about dinner on the balcony? And some wine?â
You tried to sound enthused, looking at him expectantly. He gave in.
âI have a bottle youâd really like.â
The dinner was light, neither of you in the mood for anything elaborate. The wine was heavenly though, you hummed appreciatively with every sip during your first glass. Later, both of you gulped it down fast, to fill in the awkward silence, emptying the bottle in an hour.
You swayed a little as you walked to the railing, soaking in the sound of the waves and the moonlight dancing on it.
Jude stayed on the couch, eyes firmly glued to you. The silver nightdress shone in the moonlight, creating a halo like effect. An elusive, mysterious fairy, who was flying away from him in a few hours. Never to be seen again. Pangs of a strange, hitherto unknown emotion gripped his heart. And he closed the distance between you two, while he still could.
Strong arms came around your waist, holding you gently. You leaned back into his chest, as your hand reached behind to stroke his face.
âWonât you miss this?â
Wine had numbed your filters and inhibitions. You couldnât lie anymore. Couldnât pretend.
âI will.â
âNo one special back home then? Someone who could make you feel this way?â
âNo.â
His lips brushed your shoulder, sending a shiver down your back. The cool night air adding to the charged touch, as his fingers played with the strap of your nightdress.
âSo let me have you till then. Till there isâŠ.till you findâŠ..and then you canâŠ..â
He couldnât bring himself to say the rest - the sheer thought of you settling down with someone so unpleasant, like a punch in the gut.
âIf you are around, I wonât be able to.â
He was dangerous, so dangerous for your sanity.
He had gotten what he initially wanted - your body. Why wasnât that enough? Why was he asking for more than you could give? Why did he want to come for your soul, your heart too?
âYou wonât know till you actually try. Maybe Iâll change your mind. Or maybe youâll change mine.â
Another emotional whiplash with his thoroughly befuddling words. Chipping away at the carefully constructed shield around your heart.
It had to stop. This had to change course.
âPlease, this is the wine talking. Youâll be repeating this to someone else a few days later.â
âYou think so? You think Iâd jump in bed with someone else straightway? Like tomorrow?â
His grip became firmer. On your body. And your senses.
âWonât you?â
âWould you like that?â
âItâs none of my business.â
âWOULD YOU LIKE THAT? Answer me.â
âJude pleaseâŠâ
He flipped you by your waist, grabbing the back of your neck.
âStubborn. So stubborn.â
A wet, needy make-out ensued, where you met him halfway. Gripping your butt, he lifted you up as your legs wrapped around his waist.Â
But he didnât take you inside, settling on the balcony couch instead, making you straddle his thighs.
âNot outside.â
âYes outside.â
âButâŠâ
âItâs dark. No one can see us. Trust me.â
He lifted your nightdress over your head, pleased to find you naked underneath. His briefs were quickly discarded too, as he started to pull you down over himself, spearing you with this angle, while his mouth wreaked havoc on your chest, and his hands roamed your back with abandon.
For one last time, you submitted to him. Wholeheartedly. Just laying in his arms as he took you on a joyride. His hands doing most of the work when your legs couldnât keep up with his thrusts.
âHow are you still so tight? After everything?â
Your body was filled with his marks and bruises, and you refused to even acknowledge the unseen marks he had left on you. The way he had penetrated the depths of your conscience. Clawing his way in.
Tears started to pool at the corner of your eyes, but you fought them valiantly. Not letting him see.
Jude had finally been able to put a finger on the strange emotion he had been feeling all day. It was desperation. He was desperate to not let you disappear forever. Feeling completely powerless - heâd never been on the receiving end of this before.
âAt least give me your Insta.â
He mumbled as you both were close, his strokes becoming sloppy.
âI wonât follow. Wonât do anything to draw attention to you. But at least Iâd be able to see you.â
But then heâd know who you were. Where you lived. Where you worked. Heâd be able to find you, reach out to you. And this weekend wonât remain your secret only.Â
âLet meâŠthink about thatâŠyeah?â
You kissed him, shutting down any further protests, taking in the feel of his lips. For the final time. You moaned into each others mouths as you fell apart together. Wrapped around each other. Naked on a balcony. Under the dim moonlight.Â
He carried you back to bed, settling in next to you. Both too emotionally & physically exhausted. You clung to him, moulding your body to his, snuggling into the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent as you both willed yourselves to go to sleep. With a heavy heart.
Next morning, when he woke up, you were gone. Unable to handle the prospect of another goodbye, plus not wanting to wake him up after he had twisted & turned restlessly most of the night. Frankly, you werenât sure you had it in you to leave if he woke up and looked at you in that trademark way of his.
He understood why you did what you did, looking around the now empty room. Not knowing what to do next. Feeling a sense of loss he didnât know how to process. Needing a hug from his mum.
Just then, he saw a note on your pillow, carefully tucked under the TV remote.
âIâll always remember you. Please know, this was the only way.
Love,
Your first name.â
That made him smile. He said your name over & over, deciding it suited you perfectly. The signature making his heart flutter a bit.
He clicked a photo of the note. As a plan formed in his head. Of another post, drawing you back in. He knew youâd be checking his profile, maybe even following him by now. Yeah, heâd get you back, he just knew it already!
.............................................................
And there it is, the final chapter. This was meant to be a 2 part series but your love & feedback kept it going.
Thank you, I am so grateful. And I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this final instalment :)

---------------------------------------------
The veil of sleep comes down upon your weary body with a feather-light touch, trying to coax your mind back into the world of dreams.
Dreamscapes have been a whole new experience for you in the past month of your life. Before, you would wake with no recollection of what had played out. Not even the slightest inkling. Now, you remember everything.
They are staggering; bursting with details and ideas beyond your most outlandish daytime imaginings. The emotions that are conjured by them, both when asleep and also awake are just as bold.
And even though it's been 23 nights since it started you are still finding them predominantly jarring and disorientating. You are baffled by how other people cope with the sheer vividness. The unpredictability. Maybe they have become desensitised. You can only hope that the same will happen for you in time.
One thing you tell yourself with each sunrise:
Thank goodness they weren't nightmares.
At least, you don't think they are. There's no resemblance between yours and what you have heard others describe over the years, nor to those outlined in a dream decoding book you had checked out of the library last week. There's no obvious threat or fear. No re-living of traumatic events. Just weird subtext.
The first dream found you standing barefoot on a beach. A mirage distorted the particulars of the scene making it impossible to see further than half a meter in front of you. The temperature of the sand under your soles was verging on painful and as such, it forced you to walk into the unknown before you.
A groaning wind started to brew and lifted the sand into sparkling flurries. You shielded your eyes from the abrasive particles.
The sun was at its apex when you heard the ear splitting bangs. Unmistakably gun shots; you didn't last much longer in the dream and woke with a start.
For the next week, your dreams had been like a series of video clips edited into a supercut.
Raven wings. Black cats. Hellfire. Ruby red glow. Sprawling library shelves. Landscapes hewn by earthquake fissures. Hotel corridors. A handsome, blond haired man wearing sunglasses, holding a blood covered knife.
If you didn't know any better, you would begin to suspect that your new box of tea bags had been laced with a psychedelic. Alas, no. Your hypothesis was unequivocally disproved when you friends had been completely unaffected after stopping by for a Sunday afternoon catch up.
This quick fire of snapshots eventually stopped, transforming into lucid long form dreams. You often think back to the first one where it happened.
Standing in the the empty room, and the appearance of the figure dressed in black. The colour that had flashed in their midnight eyes had the quality of liquid silver. Sometimes you wonder if you see the same image in other dreams, standing in amongst a crowd.
From that point on, regardless of what dream you are in, you cannot shake the intuitive prickle down your spine that tells you someone is watching you.
You reason that it is nothing to be concerned about. Humans dream, and you cannot deny that some of them - swimming in a sea of clouds, re-visiting childhood haunts, trying out superpowers - have been quite fun.
You roll over on to your left side and close your eyes.
You dream.
The room you see is expansive in breadth and depth. Impressive windows bring brilliant light into the space which bounces off the ivory stone of the floors and walls. There are statues positioned at equidistant intervals, implying that the chamber is a gallery of sorts.
One effigy, fashioned from bronze, and rich in colour draws your attention. The lines and curves of its form intrigue you, despite not knowing the creature it was portraying.
You are about to move on when the feeling of being watched sparks through your skeleton.
Everything changes.
Clarity gives way to haze. Sun is swapped for moon.
You see a man across the room. He stands with a perfect posture. Graceful, powerful. His elbows are bent, fingers interlaced, palms facing upwards. Sheer black fabric floats around his frame. It moves languidly, giving glimpses of his bare body beneath.
The man's face is imperceptible. The distance between you too great but somehow you know you are the focus of his attention.
His robes fall to the floor with a gossamer sigh. The pale, unmarked skin of his slight form glows beautifully in the moonlight. You look down in embarrassment as arousal flushes through you, and you see that you are suddenly as naked as he is.
You gasp, and snap your gaze back up.
The sight you see is rather unexpected. The man is intimately touching himself.
You feel compelled to mirror him. You immediately reach between your legs. The man groans as you make contact.
All it takes is a little bit of attention on your clit before you are ready to slide two fingers into your core. The noise you make at the feeling of the stretch is salacious. The man echoes you with a sound that is just as dirty.
It spurs you on and you burrow deeper.
You curl your fingers until your legs are weak and quivering. You long to sink to your knees so you can finish in a more comfortable position yet you can't. An invisible force is preventing you.
It keeps you on display.
Just like the statues to your left.
You wonder if it is for the man's benefit.
You try to focus on him but it is impossible to do so through the trembling glaze over your eyes. All you are able to sense from him now is the sound of the rhythmic pump of his palm around his cock and his panting breaths.
Desperate whines escape your lips. You are teetering on the edge of an orgasm but you can't seem to lose your balance and fall into the abyss. The unsteadiness in your legs is too much of a distraction. You rub at your clit again in the hope that it will bring the satisfaction you need.
It does nothing.
You are so frustrated by your body's disobedience that it is almost painful.
"Please. Please. Please," you mutter under your breath.
A voice suddenly speaks next to you ear. A velvet voice with the timbre of a thunder rumble. It pours like a soothing syrup into your brain and commands you to do exactly as it bids.
"Let go."
You climax intensely, crying out in relief, squirting all over your fingers and onto your hand as you legs finally give way.
The fall jolts you back into consciousness and you wake with a barely contained scream of pleasure in your throat and adrenaline lighting up your nervous system.
Daylight is peeking through a little gap in the curtains. You take a deep, grounding breath.
That was obscene.
The context, the actions, the sounds. That sultry voice at the end. From the throbbing in your vulva and the twitching of your legs it seems like you didn't just finish in the dream.
There is really no point in looking it up in the dream decoding book.
You were clearly horny on a subconscious level. Or craving attention, hence the exhibitionist behaviour. The latter is not usually in your nature to seek out but if it is the reason, you might not have to wait long before the desire is fulfilled. There is a work event happening this evening that may require you to accept an award and address the crowd.
You love this time of year where community projects get recognition; a nomination alone is a sure-fire way of garnering publicity which in turn helps the charity's outreach.
But first, a normal day at the office. You throw back the covers and go straight to the bathroom to rinse off the evidence of your wet dream.
---------------------------------------------
Your right hand connects with the metal push plate of the function space's front door. The heels of your boots click and clack as you cross the threshold, moving from floor board to paving slab.
It's fortuitous that you brought a long, thick coat with you this evening for the wind is wintery and unforgiving. You stay close to the wall of the building to try and shelter from it as much as possible.
The pavements are slick with recent precipitation, streetlamps bouncing off of the water with caustic white light.
Then you see him; a figure cut from shadow.
He's breathing in such a laboured way that you wonder if he is sick.
Your phone is still inside the venue, currently being guarded by a colleague along with your bag but it wouldn't take long to retrieve it and call for medical assistance.
"You okay?" Concern colours the simple question.
His reply comes quickly and assertively, "I am well, thank you."
You nod, not entirely convinced for the stranger's response was as stiff as his posture, and reach inside the pocket of your coat for the box of cigarettes and lighter stashed within.
You settle one of the sticks between your lips and use your thumb to bring forth a flame. The crackle of smouldering paper and tobacco perforates the damp air and you take a needy drag. The nicotine taints and tantalises in equal measure, filling you with guilt and relief. You've been trying to give up but the little voice inside your head had won this evening. You close your eyes and focus on the pleasure it brings before flicking some ash into the tray mounted to the wall.
Your attention now back on your surroundings, the stranger steps into the scope of the streetlight. The angles of his cheekbones, jaw and nose are accentuated to an incredible extent in the gleam. His dark hair is being buffeted about the wind, locks of it very close to falling in the blue eyes that are unwaveringly trained on you. He begins to talk again, showcasing his deep baritone.
"I'm afraid I wasn't entirely honest with you just now. It is not how I envisaged our first interaction transpiring. I hope that you can forgive me for my deception."
You laugh nervously and take another quick drag. "It makes no difference if you're honest with me or not. I don't know you."
"You are correct. You don't know me. Not yet -"
"Oh," you cut in quickly. "I'm not looking for a hook up."
While you cannot deny that he is arrestingly beautiful, you are technically working and have never been one for one-night stands.
"You mistake my meaning. I have been searching for you for so long. I oftentimes doubted your existence however I was wrong and I find myself humbled to be in your presence at last."
The grandiose declaration is one of the stranger things you have heard in your life and you used to deal with drunken patrons when you worked at a university bar. Maybe he was intoxicated; it would explain a lot.
"Look, this might work on other people but I just came out here to have a cigarette -"
It is his turn to interrupt you now. "You will have no need of those going forward. Your addiction to them will be replaced by me."
"Excuse me?"
You are trying to sound incredulous, however, inside you are rather frightened by the turn the conversation has taken. His gaze is not helping either.
The crystalline eyes are embodying every part of the descriptor; a hard, chill inducing blue. Ash drops from the smouldering cigarette as a tremble of fear rattles through you. The man sees this and the ice suddenly melts to a warmer hue.
His tone turns soft and gentle. "We are supposed to be together. Our union is fated."
He's staring at you expectantly even after your two attempts at rejection. You swiftly stub out the part-finished cigarette and take ownership in ending the interaction.
"I've had enough of this. I'm going back inside now. If you try and follow me, I will speak to the venue's management. If you are still here when I leave later, I will call the police."
You turn towards the door.
He calls your name. Your full name. Middle name too.
Despite your brain chanting at you to go inside, you can't stop yourself from looking back at him. "H-how do you know my full name?"
The profound rumble of his voice resonates deep in your ears. "I know everything about you, Y/N."
He's right in front of you now. His posture is bordering between desperate and predatory. Like he can't quite decide if he is seeking comfort from you, or if he wants to consume you.
You are fumbling behind you to find the door handle. "Please get away from me," you say hoarsely.
He reaches for your hand.
You jump back and struggle to get out of his grip but his strength is inhumanly strong. His skin of his palm is glacial against yours and yet somehow, the touch makes heat snake up your arm and settle in your chest.
You become aware of an internal feeling that you've always had, like that of chapped lips. Low level but something that constantly nags. Something that existed every minute of your life until the moment he touched you.
You grip his hand and look up at his face in astonishment.
"Good. That's it. Look into my eyes. See what you know is there."
You do as he says, totally stunned by the depths that seem to reside within them. It's as if there are universes suspended inside. Maybe there are. Perhaps you could float among the celestial bodies if you asked him to show you how.
You feel so alive and overstimulated that you welcome the delirious thoughts taking over your mind.
You welcome him.
It's like there is a cord connected between your heart and his that is shortening in length. The intensity scares you.
"Give into the pull," he urges darkly, sensing your anxiety.
You obey, feet moving of their own accord and then you are standing before him, just centimetres apart.
He smiles triumphantly and presses you flush against his body.
His free hand comes up to cup your jaw, fingers brushing the sensitive skin of your neck. More heat sears through you from the additional skin-on-skin contact.
Your peripheral vision closes tighter and tighter with every passing moment. The outside world is gone.
He leans in further and you wonder hazily if he is going to kiss you or break your neck. Both options are equally viable given the behaviour he has exhibited. You keep staring at him regardless.
His irises flash silver as he intones his next sentence. "Y/N, I claim you as my soulmate."

Jake x Avatar!Reader x Neytiri
Word count - 1.3k
Chapter 6 - The adventure begins
Note: Thank you all very much for the support, this is obviously my first time writing a series so sorry its taking a while, this story might go on temporary hiatus while I focus on my big girl exams but thanks for all sticking with me
âąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄâąâĄ
Jake and Neytiri left soon after, the woman still mildly angry despite her acceptance while Jake trailed behind her like a sorry puppy. You watched them go in an awkward silence as if you were holding your breath until you were sure that they had left. Only once they finally exited the large metal doors did you let out a shaky sigh, proud of yourself for sticking it out but also angry that you looked like a bit of a coward.
You knew you needed to make a lasting impression on the Na'vi couple and their people, this was a whole entire community known to be hostile to humans, you had to walk on eggshells but not too much or they'll think of you as weak yet you have to be bold but not too bold or you'll be arrogant. This was all very stressful so you spend the rest of you day practicing handy phrases in the native tongue and studying which plants were safe to touch, the day rolled by quickly with the promise of tomorrow.
Before you went back to sleep in your now human form Norm pulled you aside-
âNo sleeping in tomorrow, Jake said that he and Neytiri will be here at 5â
He says with a slightly mocking smirk, you only groaned in disapproval, flopping dramatically back into the hammock, careful not to go flying out.
âVillage life starts early, don't blame meâ
Norm justifies with his hands raised in surrender but that mocking grin was still there.
â-------
The next day rolled around too early for your liking, the vibration of a small watch on your wrist serving as your alarm. 4:30am, you didn't think you'd got up this early since high school.
This was the first time you had managed to see the actual rising of the sun and it was a sight to behold. The rich cloak of night was broken by the bright colours of the rising sun, it arose earlier than it would on earth due to the planet being closer to the bright star. The room was still dim though and filled with soft snores and strewn limbs but some strange people enjoyed waking up early and had already left the sleeping chamber. Norm was awake due to his empty hammock so you climbed out of yours, gathering your belongings in your hand and tiptoeing into the kitchenette.
Norm was there at the table, nursing a mug of coffee, looking half dead.
âYou decide to join me in my early morning?â
You ask with a cocked brow, surprised considering his mocking tone from the day prior.
âWell what would you do without me in these lonesome morning hoursâ
He retorts, he was quick you'd have to give him that.
You ate a breakfast of powdered eggs and a bit of fruit along with a much needed cup of tea to not only soothe your nerves but keep you alive for the next undoubtedly grueling hours. After that Norm accompanied you to the link room, giving you unasked for but needed tips as a former avatar himself.
You lied back in the link bed and endured the same routine as you had the times before, leaving your human body behind for that of an aliens.
You had left your avatar body in an inside room the night before knowing you'd be meeting the same place as yesterday anyway, you changed your outfit into something that you hoped looked slightly more native: some strange, green shorts with a woven belt paired with a smaller and more delicate top. Almost all clothes came from the same box due to an avatars irregular sizing so it's not like you could be picky.
Along with an effort on the outfit you replaitted your hair, weaving in a few smaller braids to make the style more intricate and pretty. You were subconsciously trying to impress Jake and Neytiri which you put down to just wanting to make a better impression on them.
Arriving first in the meeting room, you paced nervously keeping a constant stare on the sealed door that led to the Pandoran wilderness. You would frantically check the small clock, 5:03am, they were late, could this mean that she no longer allows you to explore the forest? Could this mean you've angered her and her tribe?
Before you could question yourself further the steel locks of the door shrieked as they opened, in came a relaxed Jake and a weaponized Neytiri. Neytiri had the same narrowed gaze and proud stand as the day before where as it seemed Jake had allowed himself to relax slightly more around you, his shoulders slightly slumped with a small smile.
Jake liked you, he found the nervous way you acted around him and his mate something quite amusing and something possibly quite cute. He could tell you were a strong woman yet a respectable one, you would recognise that you couldn't act like equals to the natives yet but he knew if a situation came to it you'd hold your ground.
Neytiri on the other hand was still wary about you, she thought you were like Jake but with every passing minute she saw differences in your mannerisms and speaking patterns that were a lot softer and more logical than what her mates were at the beginning. As much as she tried to deny it and keep herself believing that she hated you and your kind, she found herself growing ever more curious about you.
Meanwhile you were just standing there like a wide eyed idiot. Neytiri didn't come close and examine you like the day before and instead she just nodded towards her mate.
âAre you ready?â
Jake says after seeing his mates nod.
âI believe soâ
You say back politely. Neytiri then motions for Jake to leave first, then you, then her. Trialing between the middle of the pair you felt a heavy silence, you would occasionally glance up at Jake and behind to Neytiri, Jake being oblivious to your apparent discomfort and Neytiri only staring intently at you.
You all reach the end of the narrow hallway, the door ahead leading into the thick Pandoran Bush, Neytiri takes her bow from across her chest and notches an arrow while Jake opens the door. This time Neytiri steps out first, angling her bow in a way she'd be able to shoot at any moment.
Jake follows closely behind, a dagger resting in his palm, Neytiri then slacks her bow and nods for you to come out and close the door. You do so and shut the door behind you, you begin to try and walk to the forest.
Neytiris bow is suddenly pointed at your chest so you look up at her, she looks you in the eye before glancing at your feet, her bow still on your chest.
âYou are too loud, take them offâ
She commands and you nod, only then did she move her bow back to her side. You leant down and undid your laces, placing the shoes by the side of the door and hoping they'll still be there later. Neytiri saw this and dropped an ounce of coldness from her glare, liking that you had followed order instead of putting up protest like a normal human.
You felt the bare soles of your feet sink slightly in the moss covered ground, the sensation feeling different to your human body as the soles of your alien feet were thicker to protect you from this unforgiving terrain.
Once you had looked back up from the ground the couple were waiting for you, you walk towards them, towards the dense forest. You were about to achieve what Grace had wanted you to do, you were going to explore Pandora.

Support System pt. 10 - The Finale!
CH1 | CH 2 | CH 3 | CH 4 | CH 5 | CH 6 | CH 7 | CH 8 | CH 9
MASTERLIST
It's the end doo doo doo doo! The final match of the season, the ending. I really hope you've enjoyed reading this as much as I have writing it. I've had the best time and I'm really proud of this one! đ
Chapter 10
You hadnât considered that footballers or their coaches would get nervous. But the tension in the run up to the Man City game was palpable. The whole town seemed on edge, Roy included. Heâd spent each one of your Lexie nights at your house, it felt a little odd that he was there observing your boring mum routine of washing, cooking and carrying the mental load of knowing where Lexie needed to be, when and everything else in between. He didnât ask to stay, even though youâd wanted him to, heâd said goodnight each evening and gone back to his place. By the time Lexie was back to her dads, youâd worked out that heâd been there every evening not just because heâd wanted to be, but because heâd needed to be. The build up to the game had him restless and distractible and the time with you and Lexie managed to relax him far more than sitting in an empty house, or going over and over the match with Jamie, or Nate or whoever else was free for a pint. When youâd gone to him just a day before the match, the only solace heâd found from the plays, the tactics and the team, was in you. He took his time, undressing you slowly and kissing every inch of skin as it became exposed to him.
"Let me take care of you," you whispered. You felt his head shake as he kissed down your neck.Â
"I've never needed anyone like I need you." He muttered, swiping a calloused thumb over your hardening nipple, "you look so fucking beautiful like this." You rolled your hips against him,Â
"Please, Roy. I need you-" you all but begged. All night he'd taken the lead and given you everything, losing himself in the feel of your body against his. When they won the next day, you were euphoric. Lexie and Phoebe had been in bits when the camera had focused in on Roy and Nate discussing something over an iPad and they could see that Roy was wearing his Richmond colours friendship bracelet. The late journey back from Manchester and the subsequent celebrations meant that it was Tuesday morning before you saw him again. Youâd joined the slip road to the school, queuing for the carpark with the windows down and blasting 90s dance music when his car had pulled alongside yours. You and Lexie had been so engrossed in singing/shouting Robin S âShow Me Loveâ - complete with 'big box, little box' hand dancing - that you hadnât even seen him until Phoebe had called through the open windows.Â
âMorning. Congratulations on the win!â Youâd called out.
âMorning. Nice dancing.â
âEspecially for you.â You winked. Youâd ended up parked at different ends of the carpark so he and Phoebe had waited for you by the gate as you walked down to them. Youâd pulled out your phone to take a call from a recruitment agency so heâd walked alongside you while you talked and the girls ran ahead. âAnd thatâs in Richmond? Wow, ok that sounds really interesting. Absolutely yes, send my CV over if you think Iâm in with a shot. Actually, just send it over anyway - Iâd be mad not to at least try,â at the front of the queue at the gates, you handed Lexie her bag and gave her a kiss whilst still on the phone, âOk, could you just hang on one second please?â You moved the phone away from your mouth and stepped up on tiptoes to give Roy a lingering kiss. The other playground parents looked on, wide eyed. âI have to go, I love you. See you later.â You whispered, taking up the phone again and going back to the car, your hand holding onto his until you couldnât reach any further. Lexie was with her dad during the beginning of that week so that she could go with you to the final Richmond match at the weekend, so after work youâd gone straight to Royâs. You hopped up to sit on the counter while he cooked.
âTedâs staying.â He told you, hands on your thighs.
âReally? Thatâs great!â
âHe got to work this morning and Rebecca was in his office. She only fucking told him she was in love with him, that sheâd help his ex get a job here if she wanted to move, sheâd help them find a school for Henry⊠pretty much told him sheâd do fucking anything if heâd say.â You leaned forward, eager to hear more,
âAnd did he tell her?â
âYeah, told her he was in love with her. We walked in to find them nearly going at it in the office.â You shrieked,
âOh god thatâs so cute! At least you all know before the weekend as well.â
âSettles the lads down a bit, bunch of fucking kids sometimes.â You slid forward to wrap your legs around his hips. âAny news on that job from this morning?â His hands move up your thighs and around your waist so he can kiss your neck,
âNot yet, the agency is putting me forward. Itâs in Richmond though, which would be amazing. I should hear more tomorrow.â
âAnd how you feeling going into your last week?â
âHappy. Scared. Nervous.â
âWeâll figure it out, you know. I wonât let you fucking drown. Season finishes at the weekend, so this time next week Iâll have loads more free time for a few weeks. I can help with Lex while you do what you need to do.â Heâs turned the pan off and pulled you off the counter, taking you over to the sofa, dinner forgotten for now.
~~~~~~~
You took a further call from the recruitment agency the following day. Their client was interested in meeting you but needed an informal off-site meeting. You arranged with the recruiter to meet with them towards the end of the week just outside of town. To say you were surprised to see Keeley Jones and Rebecca Welton being led to your table was an understatement. You shook hands and sat back down before your legs could give out. The mums might have been all good, the kids, but maybe you were about to be ousted by two of the most influential women in Royâs life? You clearly looked terrified because Keeley, to her credit, took your hand and held it,
âOh fuck, you look so scared! Iâm so sorry we ambushed you, are you ok?â You think of the night before when Roy had cooked your favourite meal while youâd taken Lexie to swimming lessons and then onto her dads. When youâd sat in his lap and pushed your fingers into the knot in his shoulder to try and relieve some of the stress of the final week of the season. When heâd lost all patience and decided on a different way to unwind, which had mostly revolved around keeping his head between your thighs for as long as you let him. You think about your 4am wake up call that morning, and the 6am follow up, where heâd interlocked your fingers above your head and pressed you into the mattress as he whispered âI could do this foreverâ. Whatever had changed their mind in the time since the gala, you couldnât let it derail your future.
âLook, if youâve suddenly come to the realisation that Iâm not good enough for Roy then thatâs your opinion and youâre entitled to it. But Iâm not going to be scared off. He loves me and Iâll take that for as long as I possibly can because I am so, so in love with him and I will spend forever making him happy in any way I can. Iâm really sorry, Iâm sure youâre both lovely women and I know he values your opinions, but if heâs ever going to change how he feels about me then heâll do it himself and heâll tell me himself. And congratulations by the way,â you turn to Rebecca, âI heard that Ted is staying and that he finally told you he loves you. Iâm so happy for you.â Keeley smiled at you while Rebecca looked curiously.Â
âAre you sure about this?â She asked Keeley,
âIâve been doing some digging. Trust me, Rebecca.â
âWeâre not here to try and break you and Roy up.â Rebecca said finally,
âOh. Well then I donât understand?â
âIâd like to interview you for a job.â
âSorry, what? Shit, have I just fucked it up completely?â
âNahh!â Keeley said quickly.
âWell-â Rebecca interrupted.
âNo, she hasnât. We probably scared her half to death, Rebecca! Give the poor woman a minute to recover.â You finish your water and take a deep breath.
âIâm sorry, really I am. I got completely carried away and I shouldn't have gone off like that.â
âThank you,â Rebecca said, smiling at last. âAnd thank you for letting me know just how much you care about Roy.â You nod, making peace. Keeley whipped out some paperwork from her bag.
âSo! Like Rebecca said, this is I guess, a final stage interview without all the previous stages? We already know about you, we'd love to know more. Our previous Director of Comms was Leslie Higgins, he moved into the Football Ops role quite a while ago now and thereâs never really been the need to replace him. He and Rebecca have sort of taken on the various tasks and itâs worked fine.â She pauses for Rebecca to step in and continue,
âNow though, weâre one game away from maybe winning the Premier League just one season after coming back from relegation. Thatâs practically unheard of. The huge, growing success of the club, the opportunities with the Champions League next season and our plans for the future mean that we need to strengthen the internal team. KBPR can only do so much - they have other clients and I canât ask Keeley to devote all of her time to the club.â
âWe think,â Keeley started, âthat with us, and Leslie and you⊠we could be a real Fab Four. The core AFC Richmond decision makers - with the coaches input of course.â You are stunned, to say the least.
âWhen you say youâve done some digging, what exactly do you mean by that?â
âWell, when you told me who you worked for and what youâd worked on, I realised that weâd met before. Iâve been asking around people who have worked with you or who have come across you in a professional capacity to learn more. When I liked what I saw, I took it to Rebecca.â
âWith Ted confirmed as staying now, I have some big plans ahead for Roy. We have some very big plans ahead as a club.â
âAnd you donât think it would be weird? Me working with you, for one,â you gesture to Keeley, âor with Roy?â
âIâve been at the club probably at least two or three times a week since the day you blocked him in on the school car park. He came in ranting and raving about some idiot driver and every day, Iâve heard him fall more in love with you. If he found out there was a way to have you in the same building every day, I think heâd be beating Rebeccaâs door down himself. And working in the same building doesnât necessarily mean you spend every waking hour together. You still have crucial jobs to do. And as for me, I'd love to work with you.â Rebecca nodded in agreement.
âThe job is nothing you donât already know, the only difference is the industry.â
âExactly, my football knowledge is⊠limited at best!â
âWeâre a family, we wouldnât let you drown.â Hearing Rebecca use the same phrase as Roy struck a chord with you.
âI take it you have a job spec, contract, everything I need to read through and make a decision?â
âAn interview is as much about you deciding if weâre the right fit for you, as it is for us to decide. I think youâll find that the club's current standing means we can afford to give you a generous package, and the locality means we can support a better work-life balance.â
âTake this, read it and see what you think.â You take the folder.
âAs his friends, do you think I should tell Roy now, or decide based on him not knowing? I assume weâve met here because he doesnât know, and inviting me to Nelson Road would be a dead giveaway?â
âPerhaps tell him about the role first and then bring in where it came from. Let him help offer an opinion based on the job alone.â Rebecca suggested. âAnd I do so hope youâll agree to join us, I think you could be a truly great asset to the club.â
~~~~~~~~
Youâd kept the folder at your house, not daring to leave it in a bag or your car in danger of accidentally taking it to Royâs. Being at yours also meant you could be âbusyâ and have Lexie as a buffer and it also being your last week at your current workplace, this also gave you an excuse for being more distracted than usual. The last game of the season was doing the same for him so his being distracted also helped you. The intimacy of spending time alone at Royâs exposed all of your vulnerabilities. Youâd spent so many nights laying in the dark in his arms listening to him talk about his family and career, and have him ask about yours, it was impossible to hide anything from him. Youâd mentioned the role to him, youâd had to since he knew about the original recruiter call, and heâd reacted to it exactly as you hoped he would - excited for you to have such a great opportunity, close to home, with a package befitting your knowledge and experience. You wanted to wait until after the West Ham game to tell him exactly who the role was for. Lexie was spending the night before the match at Phoebeâs for a sleepover. The night before the Man City game meant you knew exactly how he'd want to forget the West Ham match and this time, you'd planned accordingly. You'd finished your final day at work early and had blown the cash from your leaving card on the most beautiful lingerie set you'd ever seen. You'd come back via Nelson Road to borrow his keys, and gone back to his to cook. When he got back late that afternoon, you'd set up outside under the secluded canopy in his garden with soft lights, blankets and cushions. You handed him a beer and led him outside, brought food out - including dessert, and then when you'd eaten and cleared up, you stepped in front of him and slipped your summer dress down your body. He reached out and took your hand, you'd sat in his lap with your legs either side of his. He ran his finger over the cup of the bra,Â
"Holy fucking shit, you're perfect,"Â
"Distracting enough?"
"Yeah I'd say so." He said gruffly. âItâs a good fucking job I just need to stand on the side of the pitch now.â He laughed.Â
The match was intense, unexpected drama on the sidelines and Isaacâs incredible goal had everyone holding their breath for another goal or for news from the Liverpool game. When the win came, no one seemed to care what the final table result was. The fans flooded the pitch to be with their team. You, Sara and the girls had stayed back a little, you could see better as Coach Lasso danced with his team surrounding him. When you let the girls onto the pitch, they run straight to Roy and he ends up with Phoebe on his front and giving a piggyback to Lexie at the same time.
âDonât come crying to me later when you canât walk.â You tease, finding a route past Phoebe to give him a kiss.â
âYouâre not gonna fucking take care of me?â He asks, faux outraged.
âEvery. Single. Day.â
âDad!â Lexie calls, she taps Royâs shoulder and he lets her down. Andy is coming across the pitch from the away fans side.
âAlright love.â He scoops her up and hugs her. âCongratulations,â he says to Roy who nods without greeting. âDunno what old Mannion was doing. Made us look like fools. Do you ehh, do you know if our gaffer is ok?â
âYeah, that old twat is fine. Just a bruised ego and a picture of his balls on the front of every paper tomorrow.â Andy shrugs.
âI uhh, I wanted to apologise to you both. I was a real dickhead-â Roy snorts a laugh, âworse than that, then. Iâm sorry. Iâve been watching since the game finished. You look happy.â He turns to you,
âI am.â You say shortly, unsure whether to trust the apology.
âGood. I mean it, you look happy together. And Lexie tells me so all the time. Iâm⊠happy for you.â You thank him and he heads off with his mates to the pub. Youâre left with the feeling that you might never be friendly, but you can at least be cordial. Relieved of carrying the kids, Roy pulls you into his arms.
âHeâs jealous.â
âOf me?â he laughs,
âOf me, you muppet.â He leans down to kiss your cheek and whisper in your ear, âbecause you're the one. You're it. You're the only one I want for the rest of my life. And he knows he fucked it up.â
âHmm, you're pretty irresistible yourself.â The kiss you leave him with leaves you both breathless,
âThink we can find somewhere-â
âNo way, there are hundreds of people here. I need to tell you something later.â He looks curiously at you, but you both get caught up in another âRichmond til we Dieâ chant when Jamie, Keeley and a raft of players come over to find Roy. A little further through the crowd, you see Ted sweep Rebecca into his arms and kiss her. Even an hour after the game had ended, the club was still heaving with people. The fans had gone on to celebrate elsewhere but the families and friends of the players and staff remained. Rebecca had instructed the bar to stay open, insisting that sheâd cover the bill. Phoebe and Lexie were still running around on the now empty pitch with Leslieâs younger children and other playerâs and staff kids. Youâve told Sara about the job and you canât wait to tell Roy. Heâs sitting with Nate, both of them animatedly discussing Jamieâs Oscar winning performance with Coach Beard.Â
âHave you got an answer for me yet?â Rebecca asks, sitting next to you in the dugout.
âYes, I think I do. Iâd like to run it by someone in particular first though.â You catch Royâs eye, he looks surprised but happy to see you talking to Rebecca. She waves her hand to call him over.
âCoach Kent, congratulations.â
âYou too.â
âI meant your excellent girlfriend, not the match.â He cocks an eyebrow at her,
âThanks then. Sheâs fucking brilliant.â
âI know. Thought I might poach her from you?â The furrow in his brow deepens with his confusion. You stand up and kiss the frown away.
âThe amazing job Iâve been offered? It would be here. Working for Rebecca.â You tell him, trying to keep your voice light but nervous for his response.
âHere? Every day?âÂ
âYeah,â you start to mistake his hesitation for annoyance, âbut if you think thatâs really fucking weird, then I can tell Rebecca to stuff it - no offense, Rebecca - and I can carry on looking and something else will turn up-â
âI donât think itâs really fucking weird. I think you should say yes. You should definitely fucking do it.â
âYeah?â
âFuck yeah.âÂ
âYouâd better come over tomorrow then, sign your contract.â Rebecca says with a smile. âWelcome.â You and Sara party on the pitch with the team until the girls start to flag and itâs time to go. You insist Roy stay,
âIâll see you tomorrow, go - have an amazing night, youâve earned it. Iâm so fucking proud of you.â You kiss him and he waves you off.Â
~~~~~~~
Youâre reading in bed when the door knocks so quietly you think you might have imagined it. Lexie is practically comatose in her bed, the combination of exhilaration and fresh air has completely wiped her out. You creep down the stairs in one of Royâs t-shirts and open the door. Jamie Tartt is on your doorstep with an arm slung around Roy.
âTried to get him to come to a club with us, but he made us bring âim âere instead.â You stifle a giggle, you can see that Royâs nowhere near as drunk as Jamie but heâs still looking at you with total adoration.
âThanks Jamie, Iâll take it from here. You have a good night,â you look around him to the taxi down the path. Isaac and Colin are both waving madly at you. âBe safe, boys.â You wave to them and blow a kiss before slipping your arm around Royâs waist and guiding him inside.
âNight Coach,â Jamie grins.
âNight Tartt, fuckinâ love you man. Fuckinâ love all of you.â
âWe know. And we wouldnât have been on that fuckinâ pitch without you.â Jamie gave you both a little salute and ran off back to the taxi.
âCome on, coach. Time for bed.â You lead him upstairs and sit him on the bed so you can take off his t-shirt, then you drop to your knees and unlace his trainers. You pull his hands to get him to stand up, running your hands around the waistband of his dark jeans and pulling them down. Once theyâre free of his hips, he sits back down. âCome here,â you whisper, climbing into bed and pulling him with you, his body between your legs and his head on your heart.Â
âFeels like I won the whole fucking thing.â He whispers against your skin as he falls asleep.
UNTIL. DEATH; 4
Harry grins for the first time in his life. Everything he has was fought ferociously for. His first bike, he worked three jobs in the summer for. His first car, a shit box, faded red ford with no air con or radio, he saved and went without for. His graduation with honors cost him four years of his life stuck alone in a library. His empire cost him his soul.
But this? Her. Just fell right into his lap. His divine reward has finally been given, and Harry would finally smile.
"Right, yes. Has she shown you the rest of the house?"
There was two room available. One directly next to his and the other right down the other end. He hoped Vera had made the right choice.
"Yes, thank you" her eyes never met his and he secretly loved that he would have to earn the privilege.
He walks over to her, picking up one of her plates and inspecting it. Light blue in colour cheaply made and clearly old.d
"Vera said I could place a few dishes in the kitchen. Just so I don't accidentally break one of yours" she defends herself like a child.
"Hmmm, it's no problem" he passes the plate to her who takes it tenderly and continues to stack. It was a stark contrast from his expensive white dishes but anything for love.
The dishes sat as the couple stood; close and in awkward comparison. But now that Harry was so near, he had no plans of moving himself. He could feel the heat off her skin as he slowly passed her dishes from her box to put away, the minty breath as she thanked him for each.
Devine reward was wrapped in tight denim jeans. The wait now suddenly not seeming too long.
"So does the $200 a week cover the electric and other bills?"
"What was that?", he had forgotten for a split second that they were roommates and not lovers yet, "Um, yes, $200 a week will cover the lot"
$200 a week would go in Vera pocket. Perhaps it would be enough to keep her out of his wallet.
A wide smile pulls across the young woman's face captivating Harry.
"Great! That's great. I was paying nearly $300 at my old place and that barely covered anything. London is so expensive"
"Yes, yes it is". Harry was sure that was a hint. What she really meant to say was, can you provide for me?. Yes, yes, yes, I've worked my whole life to provide for you. He wanted to say.
"Where are your things? I'll take them up" he turns his head looking at the empty floor space where her bags should have sat.
"Oh, they are already up" Annoyance that he now couldn't pick the correct room rang through his voice, "Which room?"
"Far end one" she closes the cabinet and jumps down from the counter. For a spilt second she enters back into his personal space as she moves past him. And for a split second his annoyance dulled.
Harry's head spins, trying to come up with a reasonable excuse as to why she had to move rooms next to his.
He was half way to a reasonable excuse when the familiar sound of Vera's footsteps approached.
"Harry, you're home" Vera interrupts the couple. She looked frightened with wide eyes and fingers sticking straight as if she had been electrocuted.
"Yes, Vera, I am home. You are correct" "Can we talk?" "Of course" he takes the liberty to touch daisy's hip as he walked in front of her, "excuse us, darling"
He follows Vera calmly out of the kitchen, only when they reached the blindness of the living room did he take her arm and begin to rush her upstairs.
She calls his name but it falls on deaf ears.
"Wait Harry, I can explain" he drops her in the farthest corner of the house, also where the nursery in which her son now slept was located.
"Tell her that room has water damage. Move her to the one next to mine" Vera looks at him stunned.
"You're not mad?"
For the second time in his life the grin returns to his face. He grabs either side of her head and presses his lips against hers. They part but Harry keeps control of her head
"You finally kept your end of the bargain"
Daisy was moved to the room next to his with little hassle. She was a trusting girl, and harry planned to eat her whole.
Not a single complaint was heard as she repacked her boxes and shifted them. Harry offered to help to get into her good graces and for the opportunity to snoop through her belongings.
She shooed him quickly through. Once all the boxes were moved she thanked him and confirmed she could do the rest on her own.
He spent the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out a way back into her presence. He couldn't come off too strong. He would spook her before he could assert himself as Mr right.
But everyone had to eat at some point. And it wouldn't be unusual for roommates to share a meal at the table.
Daisy did in fact find it unusual. But her trusting nature lead her to follow Harry down stairs to the dining room.
He directed her to her chair to the left of him. She was surprised by his generosity and offered her thanks a number of times.
He dishes up her plate for her while Vera sorted herself and hunter out. He had ordered Chinese but unsure of what Daisy liked yet, had over ordered.
He took great joy in going through all the dishes and finding out what she did and didn't like. She was allergic to shellfish, he had found.
Once the dinner was plated up. He found that the topics of the dishes was the only thing keeping the atmosphere from an uncomfortable silence. He tires to keep dialogue going.
"So daisy" harry takes a sip of his wine,"how long have you been at the coffee shop for?"
"About two years"
Two years she had been just down the road from him. Two years she had been within reach and harry had sat here. Two years she had been within his reach. He wanted to smash his head against his plate.
Instead he smiled a tight smile. She was here now and that's all that matters.
"But I hadn't come across her until recently" Vera says defensively. She looks at harry in a panic but he is too interested in his new toy.
"Yeah. My university classes make a decent schedule hard"
"University?" Harry restates unenthusiastically.
Harry was a firm believer in gatekeeping higher education for women. Waste of time and money for a sex that would give up their degree for a family, or should give up their degree for her family. While he wasn't against all women being barred from going to college, he did believe they should have to jump through a very high hoop.
Women like daisy had no place in such an institution. She should have been hunting for Harry. This new information changed his perspective. It had been two years that university had gotten in the way of daisy starting her life.
"Yeah. I am studying marine biology. Next year is my last year"
"That's great. Isn't it harry? Harry does a lot for the ocean and stuff. Can't shut him up about it some nights"
He eye balls Vera before going back to his dinner. He did not continue with her lie. Harry could not give a fuck about the ocean.
"Oh cool" daisy returns to her own dinner. She was clearly done with the massive meal in front of her but continues to pick until her other house mates were done.
The table engulfed in silence apart from hunter who made babbling noises as he played with his food.
He bangs against his tray. His small right fist banging against the plastic while the other held his spoon. One-two-three big whacks before the clip on the opposite side came undone and the tray came springing up to his face.
The adults joined in a collective ooh before the kid burst into tears.
"You're ok. You're ok" Vera unbuckles her child bring him to her chest and nursing him back to the living room. Harry hated the sound of crying children.
"Poor kid"
Harry verbalises in agreement.
She picks up Vera's now empty plate and hunters half eaten one and stacks them upon her own.
"Are you done?" She asks.
Harry was not quite done but still nods his head yes anyway. Acts of service was his love language.
She picks up the dishes and cups and waddles back to the kitchen. Harry follows quickly. Only two steps behind as she scraps the dishes and places them on the bench next to the sink.
"Daisy, love, don't do that. Just go up to bed. I'll worry about the dishes"
"No. No" she protested, "you paid for dinner it's the least I could do".
She runs the hot water into the sink while she searches for soap.
Harry walks over to the sink and Daisy eyes him still unsure if she likes him or not. He pumps the soap dispenser built into the sink and the yellow liquid squirts into the hot water.
Harry himself had never personally used it before but he had watched his housemaids as he passes.
"Fancy"She comments. Harry watches as she moves through the dishes at a quick pace. His dishwasher couldn't have finished them as quickly as she did. He had only got one of his ten conversations starters out before she had done the last plate.
She leaves the plates to drip dry while she dries her hand on the tea towel.
There's a good ice-cream parlour just down the road, he had said. He had hopped that it planted a seed to ask her out for ice-cream at a later date.
"Oh cool. Should we see if Vera and hunter want to go? My treat for my new roomies" She had returned.
Harry tense smile pulled itself across his face once more. Not with Vera and hunter and Not as roomies.
"Not tonight. It's been a big day for you. Why don't take a shower and go to bed"
Daisy eyes widen at his command but agrees. She wishes him a goodnight as she passes.
"Goodnight harry" "Goodnight Daisy".
He replays the memory as he lays in his bed with His hand beating furiously under the covers.
Daisy wore an expensive silk nightwear and not the cheap cotton crap she actually went to sleep in. "Remind me tomorrow you need to give me $90 for Alex's Karate class" She would sigh as she sinks into the mattress
"I will" he would hold her close to him.
"Goodnight Harry" "Goodnight Daisy".
So I was curious and wanted to see if there were any actual subtle (or significant) differences in Chloe's room before and after entering the alternate timeline. It looks exactly the same in episodes 1 and 3, hence why it's just episode 3 represented here (except for the drawing where episode 1 is included).
Not much has changed (the most significant being pizza boxes or lack thereof) and pretty much all changes could be chalked up to doing that research all-nighter while our Max was chilling with alt-Chloe. Anyway, more discussion of each row of images under the read more.
First row
The lighting looks different but likely only because we're probably at a different hour of morning in episode 3 and 4 in Chloe's room (notice the sun is in a different place by where the window light is placed). The only real difference is that there are no pizza boxes left on the floor when Max returns from the alternate reality; part of me assumes this is probably because Max was like "Clean that up, it's a biohazard, Chloe!" Though apparently Max was fine with the beer bottles and cans littering this part of the room, so I dunno.
The science magazine on top of the pile isn't there anymore, but it's the same with the box of mags by Chloe's bed as well (sci mag on top, and it's gone when we return from alt reality). Max does mention though in a previous episode if you look at Chloe's desk that the latter is trying so hard to find the scientific reasons for the rewind powers and crazy weather. So most likely Chloe grabbed her science mags during the research all-nighter to see if she could find anything there to explain Max's powers too.
Second row
I love the little touch where Chloe has put the snow doe glass dome on the blue set of drawers, when it was in a box in episode 1. Again, the only difference between episode 3 and 4 with this cute set of drawers is there are no empty pizza boxes. Part of me likes to think that this is a hint that this Chloe is pizza-averse despite everything else being the same; but again, some part of me thinks it's likely that Max insisted that they at least tidy out the pizza boxes because, y'know, biohazard. But again, seems she was fine with the beer bottles litter so...part of me is tantalised by the idea of Chloe almost being the same except she isn't into pizza, or at least not as much.
Third row
One significant difference is there's finally no laundry littering the floor, but it's almost certain that it likely got tossed in the laundry along with Max's clothes (I guess that's how Joyce figured out that Max and Chloe had been the ones breaking into Blackwell's swimming pool, I mean it did "reek like a chlorine factory" to quote Max in episode 3.) That laundry had been lying on the floor in episode 1 as well, so that's definitely not a recent thing.
There's still one pizza box under the drawers though, so either Max's insistence on cleaning up the old, mouldy boxes had missed a spot or maybe Chloe had gotten the munchies for a whole pizza and just left the box tossed under the drawers.
The suitcase with the beer bottles and junk is shut with that Girlz Guide to Guns book sitting on top, but something tells me the exact same junk is still inside it, so probably closed it to serve as a nightstand of sorts for Chloe.
Fourth row
Kind of cheating a little, but including the board because technically it is inside Chloe's room when Max comes back to the prime timeline. What I find interesting is how Max describes how the drawing is "almost invisible now" in episode 1; it doesn't look that invisible to me but it definitely appears very faded out and some of the colour has even gone in patches on the board (exactly the same in episode 1 and in the alternate timeline in episode 4). However, being outside in the sun could also have exaggerated how faded it looked as well. That said, I think it actually looks brighter and more taken care of (maybe some repainting over the years?) and there aren't as many significant faded patches of colour and so on. It's probably because it's inside and not in direct sunlight, but part of me wants to believe that it's another butterfly effect of us giving Chloe that pep talk that ALWAYS makes me cry before she returns to her prime timeline.
#Life is Strange#Max Caulfield#Chloe Price#I love the idea that we come back and everything is as we remember#except Chloe hates pizza now lol XD#or Max is weirdly selective about what litter Chloe should toss#Pizza boxes are OUT in the recycle bin NOW#but beer cans and bottles? Eh they're fine they can stay
Shooting Familiar Strangers
Shoot Day 1: The waterfall
What went well: My first job was to hack away at those brambles so that everyone could get to the desired location. The view was so pretty no one could complain. I managed to make it completely accessible for everyone, as long as they watched their step! The leaf crown stayed intact, and was a hit on set. The kids loved their costumes, especially little amber who was chuffed with her fairy wings and bubbles that I bought for her. We got the photograph of them all at the waterfall, which we needed for the next day in the house as a prop. The day seemed to go by really quickly, and we were so lucky with the weather.
What couldâve gone better: I wanted the red leaf to have itâs limelight with a shot where it falls and lands somewhere to signify the grandmotherâs presence for the final scene, but sadly it just didnât work. We tried so many options but it was just tricky.
Shoot day 2: Interior house
What went well: we shot the kitchen scene first, which was good because it would take less time to design than the living room, and I could get on with it while camera were setting up. I made sure to keep in mind the locations of the practical props such as the glasses that Freya brings through to wash up. I love how the dishes looked in the sink, it really replicates what the kitchen would like when hosting an event such as a wake. I made sure to take picture of everything I wanted to move so that I could return it to the right place at the end of the day. While they were shooting the kitchen scenes, I could set up the living room with the help of my assistant on that day Niamh. We put the flowers in their vases, colour coordinating where we could, as well as the photo frames, moving the furniture around to match the blocking and adding some practical lights. The biggest but most fun job was laying the biscuits out on pretty plates for the coffee table. I made sure to take lots of pictures so that I could replicate it as closely as possible for the day in the woods.
What couldâve gone better: The blocking and the framing changed around a lot on this day. I had to reorganise the set multiple times, which was quite time consuming. Some of my favourite designs such as the black chair with the crochet blanket and the cheese plant composition didnât make the frame at all which was a shame. We had to chase the natural lighting as it was a very sunny day.
Shoot days 3, 4 and 5
What went well: the washing line looked great, even though it took a bunch of tries to get it right. The bedsheets were just mine and Abbieâs, and on the fourth day Cara bought us a whole bunch more the play around with. Replicating the coffee table and living room was easier than I thought, just copying the pictures I took and I had labelled the boxes that everything was in. I think some of the props that I hid amongst the trees looked so cute, like the tiny house and the vases of flowers. Hopefully some of the props will stand out enough for them to be noticed in both scenes. I loved how the moss and the ivy on the table looked, creating this idea that everything in the magical world was overgrown. If we had more time, I would have loved to do some makeup similar to this on the actors. The items looked quite in place, enhancing this cohesion between magic and realism. The dolly scene through the sheets was my favourite, and although it took a few tries, turned out so well. We used c stands to create the tunnel of washing line behind the trees, long enough for Freya to push her way through and act as a kind of portal.
What couldâve gone better: Again, framing was an issue so things were being moved around. This was at some points to accommodate the empty space in the clearing we had chosen, which was hard to so as I only had 4 chairs, a coffee table, a side table and a lamp. Luckily there was a lot of time to try things out due to a logistical error in the schedule. I wanted wild flowers to be growing from the ground as Freya runs into the scene but without a dedicated shot to show this it was just useless. I tried anyway! The washing line also kept slipping down as it was a bit windy, but we managed to keep it looking fresh throughout the day. Also a dog stole a bit of cake from the table. Oops!!!!
Overall, a beautiful shoot.
request: reader baking a cake with the bench trio for subgoal, but they donât follow instructions, and end up giving it to wilbur instead?? i wasnt sure about the ending so you dont need to include that, i just thought it woild be fun if they gave the mess of a cake away. â anon.
warnings: swearing ofc, mention of dying/killing??
p! bench trio x reader
wasnât sure on what pronouns, so Iâll be using they/them if thatâs alright!
i didnât add the wilbur ending because of how i wrote this, hope thatâs okay!!
Baking a cake was one thing, and you could possibly get it done in under an hour by yourself. But doing it with your best friends was a whole other problem that you knew was going to be chaotic.
You were streaming, as per usual, when you hit your subgoal for the day. âbake a cake with the bench trio!!â At first, this seemed like a fun idea and chat would really enjoy it. With the help of the boys who were already at your house, you all moved your streaming setup to your kitchen. Conveniently where everything was already laid out for the baking.
âAlright chat,â you said after drying your hands from washing them. âAs the subgoal says, we are baking a cake.â The three boys cheer and wave to chat before washing their hands.
Tommy grabs the cake mix out of the box before throwing the now empty box out of the kitchen. âInstructions are for pussyâs. We are big people.â
He opens the cake mix and puts it into a bowl, Tubbo then cracks three eggs into the bowl and you put in some melted butter. It honestly seemed like the cake was going to survive and so would you after you ate it, but nothing goes as planned when youâre with 3 (three) teenagers who acted like children.
Tommy (who kept saying he didnât need the measurements because heâs a âbig manâ) had poured definitely to much flour into the bowl, while he encouraged Tubbo to do the same thing with the salt.
â
After around 30 (thirty) minutes of just mixing random ingredients together, you finally placed the gooey but somewhat hard batter into the oven.
âHow long should it go in for?â
âLike.. an hour?â
âTubbo, wouldnât that burn the cake?â
âI donât know, Iâm not a cake expert!â
With a shrug of your shoulders, you placed the cake in for an hour even tho chat (and Ranboo) was screaming no at you.
(username): NO!!!
(username): THATS TO LONG TF ????
(username): what the hell
â
Once the cake was âcookedâ, you took it out of the oven to see a black coloured mix. Definitely not they flavour you had gotten.
âFuck, I think we burnt the cake.â Tommy pointed out the obvious.
Ranboo threw his hands in the air as a sign of fake frustration. âI told you not to put it in for an hour!â
With a chuckle, you grabbed the white frosting that Tubbo had put green food dye in and a spoon. Handing the tub of frosting and spoon to Ranboo, he started to layer it on the burnt cake.
âSee, weâre professionals!â
âYou mean Ranboo is a professional. Surprisingly, heâs doing better then the rest of us.â Which wouldnât be a lie, Ranboo really was carrying all your asses with this cake.
A few minutes later when the cake was all lathered with frosting, you grabbed a knife and cut the cake down the middle. The crunch that came from the crispy parts made you and the boys cringe.
Putting the slices on a big plate, Tommy grabbed 4 (four) forks for all of you. On the count of 3 (three), you all took a bite.
âOh my fucking god!â Tommy quickly pushed the fork away from his mouth.
âWhat the fuck!?â Tubbo made his way to the garbage, spitting the cake out.
âThis is definitely gonna kill me.â Ranboo said from the side lines so he could remove his mask and eat the cake.
âWe are following instructions next time.â You gagged, shaking your head.
â
hi! Iâm sorry this is short, I donât even know how to bake a cake so i went off something I found on google đ. i also think Iâm getting a cold so i wanted to publish something.
The Cupboard under the Stairs
Nostalgia is a disease, historically. No really, check the mortality bills from times of war; cause of death: nostalgia. Killed by a sickness that softens the mind and rots the soul. Nostalgia is the longing for a home you cannot return to, or perhaps one youâve never known. Nostalgia is the ache for a time that you cannot reach because it no longer exists- in fact, it never existed at all. Only ever existed in your warped, pinked memories.Â
Nostalgia is poking a festering bruise to see how many pretty colours it can turn. Nostalgia forgets the details and forgives everything.Â
Harry feels it rock through him now, the ache, as he stands in the hallway of 4 Privet Drive. As he stares at his cupboard, the one under the stairs. As he fights the urge to try and climb inside it.Â
It had taken Harry two months after the battle to owl Dudley.Â
Dudley,Â
Things are safer here. Going back to school but have some stuff to sort. Let me know when.
Give Alf a treat or heâll bite.Â
-Harry.
Theyâre in Guernsey Aug. 25-31. Come then. I wonât be here. Your owl did bite me. Itâs worse than the other one. Donât send it again or they might see.
-D.
Thatâs how Harry found himself here, on a sickly hot day at the end of an even hotter summer, hands twitching by his sides, longing to reach out.Â
Heâd already done the room upstairs. Empty, newly painted a fresh white. As though something had tainted its walls just by sleeping inside it. Harry had never even touched it, barely breathed in there, honestly. But they had to repaint it just to be sure nothing of him clung to the space, that traces of him could never be found anywhere here. Harry was like a very bad dream you try to scrub out of your hair the next day. He'd waited idly at the threshold of the room for the tell-tale pop of house-elf apparition, as though pretending not to care might make it come. The hinges groaned, after, as he shut the door on the resounding silence.Â
Now he faced the cupboard.Â
Open it. Get in. Shut the door behind you. What if itâs different too? Donât open it. Donât find out. Have to know, have to know, have to-
Harry opened the door.Â
A hoover. A tub of white emulsion - for the room upstairs, he supposed. Shelves laden with cleaning products and random containers and a whole lot of rubbish. Nothing important at all.Â
He tried his best not to be offended.
Well, he thought, desperate, if I just move some stuff out of the way there will still be room for me.Â
Harry started with the shelves. All purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner- he wondered, who did the cleaning now?Â
Then the boxes. Boxes of nothing, of rubbish. Screws, random electrical wires, replacement light bulbs. Spares. Stuff you didnât know what to do with so you just shoved it in the cupboard under the stairs so no one had to see it.Â
Piles and piles of shit and shit, a cupboard full of nothing meaningful at all. But it mattered to Harry, it mattered, it had to.Â
âFucking hell, stop, stop stop stop,â he did, when he realised heâd just been launching things into the corridor, and now the useless shit was all over the carpet.Â
Heâd made a mess.Â
Fuck.Â
âFucking shit.â Harry didnât want to get in the cupboard anymore, he wanted to get out of this fucking place. Away from the ugly furniture and the ugly carpet and the fucking rubbish that didnât mean anything to anyone. But he needed something from in there, something that, despite appearances, wasnât rubbish at all.Â
Breaths coming short and putting as little of his body in the space as possible, he reached deep into the cupboard, down the side where it slanted to meet the floor, and felt for the join in the skirting board. Just behind it, where heâd left it, a folded up sheet of paper, so worn it barely held together as he pulled it from behind the wood.Â
They hadnât found it, didnât know it existed here in the cupboard, the only proof that he ever had. It was the only thing he had at all, really, of his own. This was Harry's, and he wouldnât let them have it.Â
Before he left he set the things back on the shelf. He wondered if the magic of the floating charm would linger. He didnât think he wanted it to, if he wanted anything of his left here. He shut the door on the cupboard of useless, meaningless shit, and was surprised to find himself, after all of that, on the outside, and not in there along with it. He locked it for good measure and regarded it one last time. Itâs very small, he thought suddenly, horrifically, and made himself leave it behind.Â
In a bizarre attempt at defiance, Harry smashed one of Aunt Petunia's decorative china plates, watched the shards skid across the kitchen linoleum. Felt truly underwhelmed, if slightly tetchy at the sight of the mess on the pristine floor. Reparoed it, put it back, and apparated.Â
Grimmauld Place greeted him the way he assumed an aloof, disinterested relative might. Offering an old, cold hand for you to shake, but never hold. He supposed he had Walburga Black to thank for that, her cloying presence seeming to be the very glue fastening the wallpaper to the walls.
The difference between the two houses jarred him so severely he almost ended up on the floor in the entryway. Instead he leaned, back pressed against the stupidly sentient wallpaper and tried to remember how to feel his fingers. He stared up at the ceiling that seemed to go up for miles and miles and felt truly and utterly unmoored.Â
He took his glasses off, rubbed his eyes, didnât put them back on. He left a trail of clothes in his wake on the way up to the bedroom, creating as much mess as he dared. It didnât matter anyway, it was always gone when he woke up. As if by magic. By the time he got to bed all that remained were his boxers and the sheet of paper held tightly in his fist. He shoved it blindly into his bedside table, out of sight but not forgotten, and crawled between the sheets of the bed that belonged to his dead godfather. It was early afternoon but no sun made it past the curtains, and in the dark and without his glasses Harry could pretend that the walls werenât so far away. He dare not make a sound, not for fear of discovery, but fear of the noise trailing out into the cavernous room. Skittering off the sides and coming back to haunt him.Â
He lay awake, breathing softly despite the weight of his heart, and considered if the definition of a cupboard depended on its size or what, exactly, you were trying to conceal inside it.
Hi!! I was wondering if maybe you could write a Wade x plus size reader? Maybe sheâs an ex pro thief and gets put with him for a mission or smth?? I got no idea man just have fun with it aye
Thank you for the request!!!!! Sorry for the wait!
I wasn't sure if you wanted it to be dirty or not so I sectioned that part off in case it's not what you're looking for :)
You are my first ever request! So, thank you, thank you, thank you, and I hope you enjoy it <3
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: Thieving, being exceptionally attractive while doing it. Wade on his best behaviour, Smut is sectioned off.
You haven't accepted a mission in 4 years.
You got out of the business and left those âfriendsâ and âfriend circlesâ behind you after you scored your dream internship. 4 years and you were running your own team and writing a semi successful blog. It was a quiet life, and you enjoyed it immensely. You liked your team members, and you felt they found you a fair and caring boss. Your cat Mr. Sparkles was a healthy weight and had finally committed to using the litter box.
You don't know why you answered when he called you, you donât know why you agreed to such fuckery. But here you were pulling out a familiar black box out of the bottom of your cluttered closet. You picked it up and placed it on your bed. The dark colour contrasted with your bright and colourful dĂ©cor. Something you found oddly reflective, once you moved on from that part of your life nothing was dark. Everything in your apartment was covered by color and patterns that made you happy.
You opened the box. You and Mr. Sparkles looked at the contents like there was a wild octopus about to come flying out of it.
âIt was the right thing to do.â You said out loud. âAnd it's going to pay well.â
Pulling the tight outfit over your curves felt better than you thought it would. You figured that it would cause you panic or anxiety. Instead you felt a wave of confidence looking yourself over in the mirror that hung on the back of your bedroom door. Normally you were covered in bright flowy clothes, that's what you liked. Your whole life was built upon being invisible since you were little. Now that you were in charge every day was a celebration in its own way. However this made you feel sexy, the outfit was sleek and left nothing to the imagination. Pulling your long hair into a tight french braid you were ready to get out there and do some thieving.
You kissed Mr. Sparkles and gave your aloe vera plant a light touch on your way out the window. It was a hot summer night and the air was muggy. These were your favorite kinds of nights to sit out on the fire escape, have some drinks, read books, and watch the city. It was lonely, but enjoyable nonetheless.
You got up to the roof and plotted your course to the impossible house. You misstepped a couple of times before falling into your usual rhythm. You contemplated whether you were doing this because the small piece of art should be with the family it belongs too. Or if you were doing this because you had some kind of Oceanâs 11 complex that kept you hungry for such challenges. It was an impossible place to break into, the floor of the old house containing the art work was covered with laser security. A piece of knowledge that should make your stomach flip, but only makes your heart feel funny.
You got yourself into position on the roof of the low building that was across the street, you took a few minutes to survey and eventually came to the conclusion that conditions were perfect. You made your way to the 3rd floor balcony. You knew of the ownerâs, an awfully cruel man and his lover. They were asleep on the 5th floor of the house. Well, city mansion? Whatever, the point is it didn't feel like a home, it felt like something a royal family would keep when they came to visit. Lots of expensive art and velvet curtains. Massive gold and crystal chandeliers hung from mirrored ceilings framed with fancy crown molding. You did your research in the few hours you had after the job request had come in, there was a - *insert super fancy techno security laser system name here.* And it was said to be unbeatable. No gymnast or other cat-like thief had been able to tango with it. You had been challenged by its precursors but had got out of the game by the time this puppy had made it out on the market.
You picked the lock on the double doors, and slid past the heavy curtains and disabled the basic alarm system for the floor. Surveying the area you saw the lasers slowly dancing like it was a Pink Floyd tribute at the local planetarium. (something you attend regularly) You took a deep breath and got ready to disco your way across the floor to the small framed painting of a sun set. You put a headphone in and set the song *put on a song you would rob a bank to*. You began the journey. People often felt that your size and shape made you incompetent or ungraceful. You learned early on in life not to listen to stupid people say stupid things. You were the best, perhaps because you weren't afraid to look stupid or ridiculous. You bended and snapped, ducked and dodged, twirled and flipped. And just like that you reached your target. The second you lifted it off the wall, the lasers stopped. You pulled your knife and twirled around ready for a fight. What you saw was not what you expected, across the room none other than Wade freaking Wilson was looking at you.. Normally you hated being stared at like that, but he was a âfriendâ you found particularly challenging to leave behind. The whites of his mask were wide. After making a whole bunch of strange gestures with his hands, he held up a finger motioning you to be quiet. He disappeared towards what you figured would be the staircase going up to the next floor. If he gave you a clear shot at an exit you knew he had trouble with him. So you took your out.
You got back up on the rooftop across the street, you grabbed the bag you left there and secured the painting. You pulled out a large black piece of cotton and tossed it around your shoulders like a shall. This made your outfit look less stealth and more passion for leather/night out on the town. Making your way down the fire escape on the side of the building you saw the target house explode.
I guess Wade hasn't changed any.
You picked up the pace feeling anxious to get to Sister Margrets. Making your way through the city unnoticed, you went into the shitty establishment through the alleyway door. You wasted no time moving through the hallway into the servers entrance spitting you out behind the bar. You kept by the entrance which kept you out of sight, you didn't want to see any more friends tonight. Weasel jumped when he turned around and saw you there looming in the shadows, spilling the drink he had just made.
âFuckâ He quickly remade the drink then moved back to where you were standing. He had a large envelope of cash for which you handed him the back pack. You felt slightly relieved.
âHey I know you moved on, but thanks for this.â
âNo problemâ
You turned around and went out the way you came in. Opening the door that leads back to the alley way, you notice a very large and slightly singed body blocking your exit.
âStay for a drink?â His voice caused something in you to stir. Something you were not going to explore.
âSorry Wade but no can doâ You pushed past him and began walking down the street.
âPretty pleaseeeeeâ he said with a sing song voice. You tried not to smile. He caught up to you so he was walking beside you. âIf your not a big drinker anymore we could go for diner, tacos!, Sushi, chicken nuggets, you always loved a good chicken nuggetâ You tuned him out as he kept chattering a list of every food he could remember eating together. You had to figure out somewhere to go as you weren't leading him back to your apartment. Going in random directions, he spoke up.
âI know you live on *Insert cute street name here*â
âWhat the fuck Wilson?â
âWell you disappeared and I wanted to make sure you weren't being unalived. This means if we head back to yours we can do take out and homemade drinks, which in my opinion is much better anyway. I make the best margaritas in the city.â
You started the walk back towards your apartment. Trying desperately to come up with a way to leave him at the front of the building. The thought of him in your very personal, very colourful, even bordering on childish apartment made you unbelievably anxious. Every time you looked over at his slightly charred body you couldn't help a strange feeling welling up inside you. You got to the front door to the building and turned to look up at him. There was a long pause as you struggled for words.
âIt's alright. It was a nice walk.â You could hear the layers of sadness underneath his tone. You were going to tell him that it was a nice walk and that maybe one day when things were better for you they could get that drink. Then you were going to threaten him into keeping everything a secret.
âI don't have stuff for margaritas.â The wrong words left your mouth but for a fleeting moment you actually didn't want him to leave.
âAre you sure?â Hey sounded very serious which caught you off guard and confused you a little.
âYeah, normally I just drink stuff out of a canâ You were terrible at mixing drinks, they were always way too sweet and strong and lead to trouble. Wade gave a big laugh. âAre you okay to pick up the stuff if I get changed?â
âYou betcha.â He did a twirl, blew you a kiss, then headed down the street.
You dashed up to your apartment and started to hide your more personal stuff. Grabbing an armful of clean laundry off the couch, tossing it into an empty bin in the closet. You were so busy trying to hide your stuffed animals and random fan art, that you didn't notice him standing in the fire escape landing looking at you from the large open window.
âDamn. This was not what I was expecting.â He said, sounding surprised. âThis isn't what your old place looked like at allâ
âUhâ Your face got hot and you refused to look at him. âI ah don't have people over so um yeah. You can go now.â
âNonononononono. This is a huge bit of progress from everything being varying shades of grey and uncomfortable.â Wade took the place in as he made his way to your kitchen. Placing the big brown bags on the counter top, and sliding the blender out from against the bright backsplash.
"Uh I'm going to get cleaned up. Help yourself to everything." You ran into the bathroom and freshened up and were very grateful to be out of the leather and into your summer pj's. They were more on the revealing side but you never found Wade the type to care or be creepy.
Coming out you found him very comfortable whirling around the kitchen. It looked like he had made a giant frying pan of pad thai and the blender was full. Turning around to see you he picked you up and sat you on the counter top like you were nothing more than a bottle of the many sauces he currently had out. He handed you one of your favorite rainbow glasses filled with margarita. Your brain was still trying to calm down from him picking you up like that.
"Thanks" you said with an even redder face.
"No problem, hot stuff" he divided the food into two plates, you led him out to sit on the fire escape with you. It was a sacred space, it felt weird to be there with a real live person. After the most delicious plate of food ever, many drinks, and laughs about the good old days things quieted down leaving a thick tension between the two of you. You realized you owed him an apology of sorts.
"Wade, I'm sorry I didn't give you a proper goodbye. I just had a life of running and I couldn't risk anyone fucking me over again."
"It's alright babe. I understand why you did it." His voice was low and sad and it made your heart hurt. You didn't want the night to end.
"Thanks for keeping my place here a secret."
"No problem. Do you think mayyybe now that I know about your situation we could do this again sometime?"
"You have no idea how nice that would be." You really meant it having him around was the most fun you'd had in a very long time. You didn't have to pretend or beat around the bush about anything with Wade. Nothing was too dark or silly or messed up.
"Well I guess this is my cue." He made to stand up but you grabbed his knee without thinking.
"Uh if you want to. You could also stay for a while." He turned his head to the side, bright eyes looking you over. "You could take a shower and I've definitely got a shirt and some boxers I could lend you." His eyes got wider. "They're mine. They're reallyâŠ. comfyâŠ" you would never understand how he made you so embarrassed.
"Uh, not sure about that⊠it justâŠ" he motioned to the rest of his body.
"I've seen your face. It won't bother me" you looked up at him with empathetic eyes, part of you hoping that maybe they came across as bedroom eyes. You gave yourself a mental slap.
"If you're uncomfortable, that's okay too." You said, giving him a kind smile. You could tell there was an internal battle. So you gave him a minute.
"Alright that sounds nice. It's a fucking mess under here tho."
You went into your bathroom and found your gentlest scent free soap and a soft towel. Then into your room to find a giant t-shirt and your biggest pair of boxer shorts.
You put it into a nice pile in the bathroom.
"Okay there's some nice soap, it's natural scent free, made of angel's tears or some shit and a clean towel and clothes in there for you."
Wade shifted around you into the bathroom. "Thanks"
You flopped onto your bed and looked up at your glow star collection that littered the ceiling. You heard the water start running and you closed your eyes. Until your herd some very loud and off key Britney Spears. You couldn't help but laugh. Soon enough he was out and flopped onto the bed next to you.
"Man this is the best sleepover ever."
"If this has been your best sleepover with a chick I feel sorry for you. And her." You joked.
"Sorry enough for a pity cuddle." You know what the look he gave you meant. He was testing the waters to see what kind of night this was gonna be. You couldn't help but feel the need to challenge it.
"We could cuddle⊠or we could do other stuff then cuddle." You'd thought of all the reasons this was a bad idea. But voices weren't loud enough over the sound of your heart beating. He leaned in closer, fingers brushing your cheek.
"You sure that's not a margaritas talking?"
"Very sure." You said eyes locked with his.
"Why now?" It was a good question. One you had to think about.
"I don't think I ever was really myself. Like I was as much of myself as I could be while hurting that much. Now I'm happy and I enjoy things differently"
"Hmmm I noticed that. I think I got to know you more in the past few hours than I had when we were friends. You actually laugh now. At jokes and not just crazy like when things are exploding" he moved his hand to run through your hair and you couldn't hold back a soft moan. It had been so very long since someone had touched you.
You felt his lips press into your forehead. You'd thought about Wade before but he was in a relationship, then she died, and Wade wasn't himself for a long time. You'd figured if you were something he wanted he'd make it clear considering the dude flirted with everyone. You'd always had a secret fear that maybe you went his type. Vanessa was short and very tiny, other than her you were only sure of one other and that was Cable, who was serious, fit, tall, and massive. You were a good height and curvy as all hell. Suddenly you felt self conscious. But then he put his hands on either side of your face tilting your head up to meet his. You opened your eyes and they focused in on his lips. They were so close it caused the air in your lungs to get stuck.
"You're pretty quiet. You sure you wanna try to do other things. We can jump right to cuddling if that's better for right now?"
You looked up to meet his eyes.
"Is that what you want?" You tried your best to have it come out casually.
"Not really."
Your eyes migrated back down to his lips and you shuffled closer. You wanted to kiss him so badly you felt like your body was on fire.
"You can take whatever you want baby"
******************PSA: Dirty stuff below ;)*********************
That's all the permission you needed. You moved in and softly pressed your lips into his, then took things deeper. It didnât take much for your breathing to become ragged, you were trying desperately to take the kiss further.
Eventually you bit his bottom lip and whimpered, finally he agreed, his hands tightened on your face and your tongues started to battle it out. You wanted to win, so you moved to straddle him. Finally accomplishing some friction between the two of you, you could feel your panties sliding against your wet folds. This only lasted for a few glorious seconds, before he flipped you on to your back quickly moving to pin your arms above your head.
He started moving south leaving a red hot trail of destruction behind him. There was only so much your tank top would allow, Wade seemed very content palming your right breast while biting on the flesh beneath your left collar bone. You on the other hand wanted your goddamn clothes off.
You tried to break his grip and moaned when you realized such a task would only be accomplished by hurting him. He really had you trapped there, a piece of knowledge that only made you want your clothes off more. His grip on your breast tightened and his smirking lips took a long pull on the hardened nub that was poking up benthe the cotton of your top. You couldn't help your back arching. Finally, after paying respects to your other breast, he pulled back to look at you. He squeezed your wrists.
âStayâ
God he was so bossy. Something that divided you internally. A part of you wanted to push it, see how hard he would dig into you, and the other part was desperate to behave and be good. You decided you would be good, for now. He sat up, leaning back on his knees in between your legs. Slowly his fingers brushed across the soft skin of your stomach, then his hands ran up along your torso taking your shirt with them. Feeling his scarred hands trail lightly across you sent shivers through your body. You felt him cup and knead your breasts for a moment before pulling your top over your head. He took a long look at you which made you feel delicious. No one had ever pulled out this side of you before. Kissing down your stomach he stopped at the waistband of your shorts. He took your left leg and used it to flip you over, somehow taking your shorts off at the same time. There you were ass up naked and loving every second of it. His big hands came down to smack your ass, a loud noise of please ran out of your mouth along with most of the air in your lungs. Enjoying the response he did it again then started kneading the flesh.
âFuck you are so fucking sexy.â You felt his hands slide down to grip the tops of your thighs. You arched your back further resting your head on the bed. âGood girl.â The words hit you like a bullet but before you had time to find your footing his hot mouth was all over you wet folds.
His skilled tongue painting some kind of masterpiece, he was touching you everywhere but where you really desperately wanted it. But this seemed to be the way he operated, and you weren't complaining. After feeling like he had been everywhere, he started to circle that tight ball of nerves and you couldn't help but let out a shout. Pleasure was ripping through your body, things were starting to get hot and tight inside you, when all of a sudden those glorious lips closed in and created some heavenly suction. You couldn't stop your hips from bucking, this earned a heavy slap on your right ass cheek.
âFuck fuck fuckf cukkkk ahâ It quickly became too much, your orgasm hit you like a train, whole body tensing up then finally crashing down. Wade kept up the rhythm letting you ride it out. Finally pulling away when it became too much. He snaked his arm up your front to grab the front of your neck pulling you up on to your knees, angling your face so he could kiss you deeply. Putting on a show of how good you tasted. After a long moment of heated kissing, he positioned you so you were laying on your back again. Giving you a few moments to catch your breath.
âYou wanna keep going?â he asked softly.
âYes please.â you answered politely.
âAlright but, it's everywhere. All over me. So doggy style is generally best for this next part. If you wanna do it that way, I'm also just happy making you scream like this too.â
âWade, we can stop if you need to. But I would much rather you fuck me like this. Or let me choke on you for a while then fuck me like this. On my back where I can kiss you and love you back. Ya feel me?â
He looked at you with searching eyes. You realized what you said probably sounded a bit off. Love you back probably wasn't the right thing to say, but you were operating with limited brain function at this point.
âThis normally doesn't end well for me.â
âHmmm. What part, how do you like to uh finish?â You asked slightly confused. Wade only laughed.
âThat's not the problem, I almost got off just from you screaming like that. No, I just want to make sure you actually enjoy it. It's hard to enjoy things when you are looking up at someone who looks like they lost a fight with an industrial paper shredder that happened to be on fire.â
You snorted.
âWade I never knew you before, but Iâve wanted you since I met you. Okay? There's no spooky feelings here.â Your words seemed enough to convince him. He leaned in for a soft kiss, one that made you want to misbehave. You pulled the shirt up, running your hands across the well defined muscles of his torso, then broke the kiss to pull it up over his head. You didn't give him a chance to be chatty, you resumed the heavy kiss, palming his erection. He moaned into your mouth. Feeling accomplished, you pulled the boxers off letting his heavy cock slap up against his stomach. You couldn't help but break the kiss, looking down you watched your hand slide over his impressive, throbbing length. You wanted to take him in your mouth, but before you could push him back onto the bed, he was already pinning you in place beneath him.
You felt him slide himself through your heat. Finally lining himself up with your entrance, his thumb set a steady pace on your clit as he pushed into you slowly. You were grateful he took his time opening you up. You let out a strangled sound when he bottomed out, you felt so full. He set a slow pace giving you lots of time to adjust, this only made you more desperate and needy. When he finally decided youâd had enough, you felt his hand squeeze the back of your neck as he set into a ruthless pace.
âFUCKâ He was too much, his heavy body keeping you in place as your hips rose to meet every single thrust. you wanted to feel him as deeply as you possibly could. His hot mouth was biting into the flesh at the bottom of your neck. The heat inside you started to build and you were near your breaking point.
âWadeâ You breathed in a high, desperate tone.
âCum for me babyâ And just like that you felt it take over, your hips snapped up and your feet cramped up. You could feel your walls clench around him tightly, and you choked when he pushed through them even rougher than before. That thumb on your clit never gave up, keeping you trapped riding out the waves of pleasure. You felt it take him over, letting out a deep growl you felt him fill you. He held himself deep inside you, moving both his hands so his forearms were on either side of you trying to keep his weight from crushing you.
His forehead pressed against yours as you both tried to catch your breath. Eventually he moved out of you and he flopped onto his back. You got up and quickly went pee and cleaned yourself up. You grabbed another washcloth and went back to clean him up. You realised that getting up might have been a mistake. Wade was on his side with his eyes screwed shut.
âHey, you okay?â You asked softly and grabbed the sides of his face and kissed his forehead.
âBetter now.â He whispered.
âSorry for getting up, I should have said something. Can I clean you up?â He gave you a strange look, like he was waiting for you to suddenly disappear. He took the washcloth and wiped himself down, you took it back throwing it into the bathroom. You looked down at him hoping that the voices weren't giving him a hard time. You sat next to him holding his hand, giving him some time.
**********************************************************************
âSo about those cuddles?â He asked softly, and you wondered how many times people had hurt him or thrown him out.
You got under the light quilt on your bed motioning for him to do the same. He followed you, laying on his back, you tucked yourself into his side, enjoying his big arms wrapping around you. You gave his neck a light kiss.
âI missed you.â you said softly
âYou have no idea how bad I missed being around you.â
âI won't leave again, if you wanted to make this either a regular thing⊠or a proper thing⊠if you're into that?â You felt a tight ball of nerves in your stomach.
âIâd really like that.â He kissed your forehead. You thought about all the things you would have to do to make this relationship compatible with your new life. But that was a later you problem, right now you were the best kind of exhausted. You both drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
Thank you again for the request!!!! <3
MASTERLIST
------------------------------------------------------
September
"When do we have our first interview?" you asked the boy whose head was in your lap. He looked up from his phone and your eyes locked with his green ones "Hmm, my calendar says in about 30 minutes."
You groaned at that and stopped playing with Charlie's hair which earned you a grunt and whine from him. "Sorry babe but I think I have to go, so I still have time to get ready and set up." You muttered and gave him a small kiss on his brown hair.
"Uhh fine." The weight lifted from your legs, you stood up and before you knew it you were thrown over his shoulder. Laughing, you slapped his butt and back repeatedly. "Babe! I mean it" you tried to press out between giggles, "we both decided to keep us a secret." He sat you down on the kitchen isle and cornered your body in between his arms, standing right in front of you, you're back hitting the kitchen cabinet.
"I know... come back later?" he asked and tilted his head, looking at you with big puppy eyes. "You know it." After a swift kiss, or rather a little make out session, you were on your way back to your own appartement. Just in time to change your top and put on a lip-gloss before opening your laptop and joining the interview.
"Hello everybody! I'm here with the cast of Netflix' Julie and the Phantoms that came out on Thursday. How are you guys?" the interviewer asked and smiled into the camera of his laptop. The whole cast chirped in with a good, great, or amazing.
"That's fantastic!" he clapped his hands "Now, Jeremy, how would you describe your Character and the show in general?"
"It's a show about ghosts from 1995 who come back 25 years later and join a band with Julie who didn't sing a note after her mother died. Reggie, the character that I play, is one of those ghosts and he is a loveable himbo. Did I use that word correctly Maddie?"
Maddie smiled and the interviewer changed the topic "Madison and y/n, birds have told me that this was your first ever acting job is that right?"
You nodded and signaled Maddie to speak first "Yes, and it was both amazing and traumatizing! I was so nervous, but the crew really helped to calm me down, especially y/n who just was in the same position as me, so we freaked out together most of the time." She smiled and the interviewer waited for you to answer. "Except, Maddie had a least some acting training at school, that's why she is the best. I more or less walked into the whole situation." You said laughing.
"I love this story." Jeremy exclaimed, making you slightly blush at his words.
"Would you be so kind and tell us?" the interviewer questioned and smiled at your little nod.
"Yes, yes of course. Well, I was on vacation with one of my good friends from back home..."
"She means Germany." Owen interrupted with a smile on his lips. "Yes, Owen. Thank you for adding important details. Anyways, we saw that there was an Open Audition nearby and though why not? We don't have anything to lose or to do on that particular day. And here I am, my friend sadly didn't get in."
"That really is an amazing story, I can see why Jeremy likes it so much. So, Charlie how would you describe y/n's and Luke's characters, she wasn't supposed to be in the script and was later added in right?" Charlie quirked up at the mention of your name and stated proudly. "Indeed, she impressed Kenny so much that he wrote a character just for her. He thought that Sunset Curve, the band name before we died, needed a female to handle their chaos or well... at least tries to. Y/N plays Allie, who against common speculation isn't any of the boys' love interest which is a very nice turn of events. She and Luke bud head a lot because Luke only thinks about music and the band and she tries hard to make him take breaks every now and then."Â
A lovesick smile sat on your face while you listened to your boyfriend of nearly a year, once you realized your expression you quickly shook it off. Hiding this relationship was definitely going to be harder than expected.
The Interviewer asked some more questions before the last and dreaded question was thrown your way. "So, most of your fans are wondering if any of you guys are in a relationship." You and Charlie had discussed a million times before what you guys would say in such a moment, the two of you shared a look.
Jeremy's eyes switched from Charlie's box on his screen to y/n's before answering "I have a lovely wife! The rest of us are happily single, right guys?"
"100%" Maddie added, while Owen only shrugged, his dog conveniently jumping into his lap.
"How about the other two?" he eyed up the last remaining.
"Very single" Charlie laughed, and you agreed "Totally."
As time went on it was harder and harder for the two of you to hide the relationship, as you two spent nearly every day together and therefore did the same activities. Particularly after your social media accounts have gained over a million followers and people started to ship actors and tv show characters. But you two loved the little secret bubble you've created, there was no pressure to take good pictures together, or to post stories, to be asked a thousand questions about your relationship and no hate towards any of you.
December
It has been 4 months since the show released and the hype it got definitely was way more than you ever expected. It blew your mind. Currently, you are on Charlie and yours one-year anniversary / Christmas / good deeds vacation. Charlie and you found a good mix, that made you both happy, between chilling and doing adventurous things.
It was Christmas eve and Maddie wanted to do a 'guess the song Christmas Edition' with the main cast. Eagerly you agreed and hurried from the beach, where Charlie currently took the quiz at the bar you both sat on just minutes before, to your shared bedroom. You shot Maddie a quick text that you were 'out of the relationship zone' and ready when she was ready.
"Helloooo. How did the others do?"
"Not the worst but I still have faith in you to win this. ARE YOU READY?" she screamed the last part.
âIâm going to read you the lyrics of a christmas song and you have to guess the next line. There are certain cards that give one point and others give two. Whoever has the most points at the endâŠâ
âHopefully get your earringsâ you asked with a sly smile and your shoulders raised.
Maddie laughed but shook her head âSadly, no. I haven't figured out the price yet, but I for sure will! I like your backdrop by the way.â she added and you quickly looked behind you. You sat crisscrossed on the hotel room floor, you used the coffee table and a water bottle as a phonestand and used a white checkered wall as a background to try and hide the fact that you didn't sit in your living room.
January
âThis should be the last box.â you cheered into the empty hall and shut the front door with a light push from your hip. Charlie popped his head out of the bedroom and walked over to, dropping his head on your shoulder in exhaustion. Nothing was set up, boxes stood randomly all over the apartment, the fridge stood there still empty and a lonely mattress covered the bedroom floor.
âThe walls look a bit bare don't you think?â you said about a week later, standing in the middle of the now a bit furnished living room. Strong arms sneaked their way around your waist and a head dropped on your shoulder.
âHmm⊠you're right. What do you have in mind?â Charlie said and turned you around so you were facing him. He smiled at the spark in your eyes âI was thinking, a yellow akzent wall with random secondhand pictures and some pictures of us, all in frames of course. So it's gonna have this homey and creative atmosphere.â You rambled on for a while longer, telling him where you think his instruments could go, the pillows you saw online and thought they worked perfect with the colour of the couch. Charlie just stared at you, a dumb smile on his lips with his arms around you.
âDo you not like it?â you noticed that he hasn't talked for a while and got worried. âI love it. We could live in a dumpster for all I care, as long as I have you by my side.â You fake gaged at his romantic words and gave him a kiss.
The first time people got really suspicious was the time you accidentally walked in on a live he had on Instagram. He sat in front of his instruments, phone propped up before him. You thought that he was already finished but you were wrong.
âDo you think thisâŠâ you walked into the room, a shirt in your hand that you just took out of the dryer and lost your words the moment you saw him sitting in front of his phone. He looked at you with wide eyes, his brain clearly searching for a good excuse.Â
âIs that y/n?â he read outloud from the chat, gesturing you do sit next to him. âYes it's her! Weâre hanging out and she helped me with my washing because I somehow still don't know how to do it.â he laughed nervously, his hand grabbing yours out of the frame.
âHe promised me food and I live really close by, so I thought I'll help this poor man out.â
May
Looking back at this moment now, you and Charlie weren't sure why you just didn't come clean. You didn't mean to hide the relationship this long, it just kinda happened and at one point it just got too awkward to tell. It was fairly easy to hide most of the time, you didn't most that much on instagram and Charlie only showed parts of his daily life.
The easiest was the time you filmed JATP Season 2. You were expected to hang out and live together. Back in 2019 you already lived with Owen and Charlie. This time poor Owen had to live with a couple instead of just two friends. (You were already dating for a while back then but didn't tell the cast, to not make a fuss.)
It wasn't like the fans didn't suspect a thing, especially after Owen posted a video of you two fooling around.Â
Everybody sat outside, enjoying the everwarming sun on their skin. Half of the cast was already in costume just waiting for the break to end. In typical Allie (your character) fashion you wore an overall with a tight tank top underneath, your makeup stood out from the others with the heavy blush, freckles and black eyeliner.Â
Charlie, in his Luke wardrobe, thought that it was funny to stand in front of you to shield you from the sun.
"Stop that" you whined and tried to shove him away, which was harder than you thought considering he stood before you and you sat on a bench.
"Make me." He flirted and stood even wider before you, puffing out his chest. Raising an unimpressed eyebrow, you stole his beany with a swift motion. His expresion quickly changed from cocky to shocked, snickering was heard from Maddie who was used to this type of behaviour.
"Ups⊠heavy wind blows in the shadows." You explained nonchalantly and pulled the beany on your head, sticking your tongue out at your boyfriend.
"Oh it's on my lady" he growled "I'm giving you a three second advantage. OneâŠ" your eyes widened and your heart rate picked up. "TwoâŠ" you got up and scanned the place internally making a good running line. "Th-.." you began sprinting across the lot. You heard the laughing from your castmates behind you as you and Charlie ran in circles.Â
Unfortunately, he was still fitter and faster than you and about a minute into the running he had you thrown over his shoulder.
"Surrender!" he screamed as you tried to wiggle out of his grip.
"Never!" You screamed back and wiggled even harder.
"Surrender or i'll have to tickle you" he warned and those were the last words Owen was able to film before a producer yelled that the break was finished.
February
âBaby, if I would believe this News Article, you have a secret girlfriend, but it's not me.â you showed him your phone screen.
âIâm not cheating on you. I would never, i'd die rather thanâŠâ his frantic expression made you snort. âI know. Oh my god! People saw you with Lia.â you held his hands comfortably.
âLia as in your best friend Lia?â
âThe one and only. People noticed the hickeys... At least theyâre getting closer now. So are we still on for the masterplan? You by instruments and I'm gonna sit in the bedroom?" He nodded and smiled at the sight of your equally plastered neck.Â
Eventually, before you even were able to execute the as you'd like to say 'masterplan' your relationship got outed. I mean it was time, the two of you getting lazier with the hiding as time went by.Â
Fans noticed that you wore a lot of Charlie's things and that you and him always seemed to be at the same place at the same time. It was actually one of your lives that spilled the secret.Â
"That's a really nice akzent wall" you read outloud from the chat "oh thank you! It was a long process to get all the pictures but it was actually Charlie's idea to not only have pictures but also plane tickets, date memories and so on hung up on that wall. It really makes it homey. I think to get that wall this crowded it took us...what? About well since we moved inâŠ" you didn't even realise what you said you just babbled and then it was out.
"Charlie actually is home! I could call him. Babe! Come here for a sec- oh my god!" Your hands flew up to your mouth in realizion.Â
From that moment on you were public and your social media exploded once again. However the two of you were happy to finally show each other off.
A/N - HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!Â
Requests are CLOSED!
**Â
âSpencer!â You kicked the door with your foot, âCome on, I canât feel my damn arms,â You were juggling 4 bags of food on one arm as the other held enough alcohol to serve 100 people. âSpen-â The door flew open, revealing Spencer as he fixed his hair. âHelp me!â You shoved past him, handing him the alcohol. You set down the food on the table, pulling out the chair and having a seat.Â
âWe could have just ordered this stuff, you know?âÂ
âWe could have but I havenât left my apartment in four days and I needed some fresh air.âÂ
âHow much food did you buy?âÂ
âOh, youâll probably have loads of leftovers. Like Papa Rossi always says more food is better than less food.âÂ
âDid you happen to go to the grocery store and buy -âÂ
âDouble stuffed Oreos and whipped cream? Yeah, the first thing I crossed off my list.âÂ
âYouâre the best,â He beamed, skimming through the bags.Â
âOh,â You chuckle. âI know.âÂ
âHow were the grocery stores?â He asked.
You shake your head as Spencer looks at you in amusement âEveryone is so giddy and full of fluff.âÂ
âFluff?â Spencer laughed at your choice of word.Â
âYeah, holding hands, kissing in public, smiling with their teeth, being extra freaking nice, buying all the damn chocolate and different colored flowers in the world. Donât even get me started on the damn stuffed teddy bears.âÂ
âWho did you buy these for?â He pulls a nice yellow bouquet out of the bag alongside a vase.Â
âFor you.âÂ
âWhy?âÂ
âBecause you need some colour in your life besides this were half off and I felt so ridiculous standing in that damn aisle. So, make sure they live longer than a week.âÂ
âOn it,â You watched Spencer fill the case with water, adding the flower food, mixing it up, cutting off the ends of the stems, adding the flowers in the vase as he placed it in the middle of his small dining table.Â
âMmm,â Spencer stood behind your chair. âThey do look nice.âÂ
âYeah, they do.â You nod.Â
âDid you bring the movies?âÂ
âOh yes!â You reach for the bag on the far end. âItâs Disney night.âÂ
â101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Bambi and Bambi II, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Dumbo, Finding Dory, Finding Nemo, Lion King, and Coco,â Spencer reads out all the movies.Â
âJust some of my favorites.âÂ
âThese are just some?â Spencer raises his eyebrow at you.
âDisney and Disney Pixar have the best movies. Hands down. Donât even argue with me on this.â Spencer nods, âListen, I could have rented out the whole shelf at the shop but I controlled myself.âÂ
âI bet.â He nods. âAlright, which one should we watch first?âÂ
âI picked last time so your turn,â You watched Spencer flip through the movies until he landed on Coco.Â
âIâve never watched this one,â You looked at him shocked. âWhat?âÂ
âOh my god, where do you keep your tissues?âÂ
âWhat why?âÂ
âTrust me, you're going to need them. You're going to need lots of them.âÂ
**Â
Spencer and you sat on the couch, after watching the movie, boxes of sushi in both of your laps, eating in comfortable silence. You could feel Spencerâs eyes on every once in a while.Â
âWhat is it, Spencer?â You asked.Â
Spencer set down his drink and rubbing his neck. âCan I ask you a question?âÂ
âShoot,â You replied.Â
âWhy don't you like Valentineâs day?âÂ
You had a feeling that Spencer would ask this question but you werenât quite sure how you were going to answer it without breaking down, you didn't expect yourself to.Â
âYou donât have to answer it if you donât want to but I just always wondered. Iâve known you for 6 years and every year we do the same thing. You come over to my house with way too much food and alcohol. We sit here together and watch movies.â
âAre you saying that you donât like my company?â You pretended to play hurt, just to pull Spencerâs leg. He immediately set down his sushi box and faced you.Â
âN-No. That n-not what I meant. I didn-t mean to hu-hurt your feelin-â You laughed at how quick he panicked at your words. âWhy are you laughing?âÂ
âNo reason,â You set aside your box, grabbing your wine glass and settling down on the sofa again. "When I was younger my mom would love celebrating Valentine's day and she would celebrate it with everyone, not just my dad. I would wake up to the smell of bacon, pancakes, her famous buttery and cheese eggs, and cherry pie. My siblings and I would help her set up the table. Once everything used to be set, we'd make our way to their room and wake up my dad. We'd have a tickle war and jus-" You feel the tears pressing as you take a deep breath before continuing. "I remember laying there for several minutes, taking in the comfortable and peaceful silence of our little family. We'd have breakfast, play games, and simply spent the day with one another. We did the tradition every year growing up. When I was young, I asked my mom why she always celebrated Valentine's with us and never just our dad and she said 'Valentine's day isn't meant to be spent with just one person you love, it's meant to be shared with everyone you love. That there is always enough love within you to want to share it with others.' I mean, they could have dropped my siblings and me off at my grandma's and left to celebrate the day on their own, but she never did. She always chose to include us."Â
Spencer was intently listening as you continued. "Every year I used to look forward to this stupid day, but one morning I woke up and my life changed forever." Spencer grabbed onto your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I was at my grandmother's the night before Valentine's, my parents and siblings were coming to pick me up but when I woke up in the morning I remember my grandma looking at me and without her saying anything, I just knew. It has never been the same since then."Â
"Y/n," Spencer moved closer. "First off, I'm sorry about your family," You nod, you never once mentioned them to anyone on the team, it was far too painful for you. "Secondly, even though you're not going to believe me, what happened to your family isn't your fault."Â
"Isn't it?"Â
"No," Spencer shakes his head as the tears come streaming down your face.Â
"They still would have been alive Spencer! If it weren't for me, they'd still be here. They'd be here with me, today. I would have been at home but now I don-" Spencer wraps his arms around you, rubbing your back. You stay like for a minute before pulling back. "Sorry, I did-"Â
"You don't have to apologize."Â
"The following year on this day I remember being so upset because I woke up to nothing. It was just quiet. I felt so empty and it just hurt so much. I just hated the fact that the one day that bought us together as a family was the same day that ripped them away from my hands. Ever since then, I've had this love-hate relationship with this day."Â
Even after all these years of you convincing yourself that what happened to your family wasn't your fault, you couldn't help but think it was your fault. If they weren't on the road that morning, then you'd still have them.Â
"I sulked around every year on Valentine's day until one day, I realized that my mom would have been so upset to see me doing that. She always celebrated that day with music, food, movies, and love. So, I decided to celebrate it just like she would have. Before I joined the team, I used to go out buy loads of takeout, grab a couple of my parent's favorite red wine bottles," You raise your glass. "I'd play our favorite music, watch the same movies we'd watch together, and stuff my face with food. It sort of became my tradition, my thing."Â
Spencer's inside exploded as he noticed your smile getting bigger as you talked about your family. "I like that."Â
"What?"Â
"That you kept the tradition alive."Â
"Me too." You beamed.Â
"But why did you decided to share your sole tradition with me?"Â
"I know that you and your mom probably spent loads of holidays and special days together up until you had to make the tough decision to put her in a care home. After that you probably didn't spend many special days with her," Spencer remains silent at your words. "So I took it upon myself to share the love with you because if my parents knew you, they'd love you. Even though it was rarely said I knew that my parents and sibling loved me a lot, so I decided to share some of that love with you because god Spencer, you deserve it."Â
Spencer's heart was bursting at your words, he never heard anyone say anything sweeter. "Thank you."Â
"For what?"Â
"For sharing your love with me," You smiled.
"They're proud of you, you know that?"Â
"I hope," You chuckle.Â
"They should be because they raised one hell of a human being. Going through what you did and still having love to share, that's a difficult thing to do."Â
"Yeah, I guess."Â
"Let's toast," Spencer raised his glass.Â
"To what?"Â
"You shared your love with me so now I'm going to share my love with you," You looked at Spencer confused, he put down both glasses and leaned forward, your faces inches away from one another. He rubbed the tip of his nose with yours, giving you enough time to pull away, but you don't, instead, you wrap your hands around his neck. Soon after, his lips clash with yours as he pulls you closer. You wrap your legs around his waist. Pulling back you rest your forehead against his, "What was that?" Your heart was racing, eyes a little blurry as your mind was a little fuzzy from the wine.Â
"Just sharing the love, mi amour."Â
Little steps (George Weasley x reader) | pt 4 - Attention
Pairing: George Weasley x reader, OC x reader
Part 1 âą Part 2 âą Part 3
Summary:Â Y/N and George try to figure out what the Yule Ball changed in their relationship; life gets back to normal and goes on, Y/N is a confused teenagerâą and has a hard time sorting her shit out
Word count: 6897
warnings: cursing, mentions of sexual themes, mentions of alcohol, canon character death
a/n: Itâs a wild ride and honestly I donât know what else to say about it. I hope I left as little mistakes as possible, itâs long. The next part will be the last, my dears. Also, Iâm not sure if drinking lemon balm tea is a thing outside of where Iâm from so Iâm sorry if you got confused đ
- I drink it and I like it.
Walking up the curved steps you felt his tingling gaze, you held your breath in, until you were out of sight, and you seemed to shake more with each step you took. The door handle to your room felt colder than ever. You stepped into the room where Hermione was getting ready for a shower, picking up her cosmetics, you felt dazed as if you just stepped out of a fairy tale and you didnât know how to function in the normal world anymore. So you closed the door behind you, your friend stopping in her tracks, trying to read you. You took a deep breath, leaning your back against the door and looked into her eyes â and that anchored you. Tonight really did happen, in the real world. Your face broke into a huge smile and you didnât have to say anything, you just squealed and charged at her â both of you jumping grinning like fools, squeezing each other tight.Â
âI need to calm down, take a shower and just lay downâ you started rambling after you let go of her âotherwise Iâll never fall asleep. Oh, I hope I can fall asleep normally, we both know Iâm as good as dead if I donât get enough sleep- â you went on as you started picking up your own toiletries, kicking off your shoes in the meantime, while Hermione waited for you, chuckling at how dramatic you were. She was glad to be distracted from her own whirlwind of thoughts after that evening.
The following morning you woke up, debating whether getting up at all, was a good idea. But your rumbling stomach won. You washed up and stood in front of the mirror in your room, wondering what to wear. Why would choosing an outfit be too difficult? It was a normal morning after all.  â a skirt with a button-up? no, thatâs trying hard⊠- I mean, you never cared about how you looked- or wait, scratch that. You never questioned your judgement or had much trouble with it â maybe just some sweats? ugh, but then people would start assuming youâre in a bad mood, or hungover⊠- looking good just came naturally to you and you werenât a try-hard, as you kept telling yourself.  So you put on a pair of fitting jeans with a sweater and put your hair up in a high ponytail. Itâs just a normal morning.
You knew Hermione left before you and you didnât see Harry or Ron in the common room, so you stepped through the heavy wooden door leading to the great hall, alone. If your wardrobe this morning didnât confuse you enough, now you faced another dilemma. How did you usually choose a place to sit? Why was existing and decision making so difficult that morning? Surely, you didnât get enough sleep. That was it.
Still deep in your thoughts, your feet were awkwardly following along the Gryffindor table. I mean, normally, when you werenât already with your friends, you would just take any empty spot. Today should be the same. Your seat at the breakfast table shouldnât be a statement, yeah?
âHey, Y/N,â said Hermione, shifting a bit closer to Harry, so you could sit by her other side. You didnât realize you had walked up to them. âHi,â you said, slowly taking your spot and unsuspiciously scanning the perimeter. â-everyone..â you added when you met Georgeâs eyes as he was bringing a coffee mug up to his lips, smiling to you. You broke the eye contact to pick some food and get on with your breakfast and just missed how he hit his teeth with the mug, spilling a bit of the liquid and earning a snort from Fred.
âââââââââââââââââââ January, 1995
â-have you ever noticed that?â said George staring dreamily at your confident smirk after you probably made some cheeky comment, sitting with your friends by the fire on the other side of the common room. âNo, canât say I have,â answered Fred in a bored tone with his cheek resting on his palm and elbows on the table, until he got a punch to the side. âUgh, what do you want me to do?â he said wincing a bit and rubbing the sore spot as his twin glared at him, feeling betrayed. â-youâre absolutely smitten with her since the ball and itâs getting boring. Get over yourself!â âCould you be any louder?!â George whisper-yelled â -wait no, donât answer thatâ he quickly followed, holding his hands up as he knew the look in his brotherâs eye well. âLook, all Iâm saying is â thatâs still Y/N weâre talking about. And this- â Fred gestured widely at Georgeâs position â-isnât helping you.â
âââââââââââââââââââ
Much too soon for most of the students, the new term came along. You fell into a routine, very similar to the one from the previous term, only with a few slight changes. You had calmed down a bit when it came to George, who would now, along with Fred, hang out with you from time to time. He also got back to his confident self around you. His new approach was hard to get used to at first, cause it meant frequent compliments, winks, attempts to show off, distracting you when you tried to study in the common room and those damned, so hard to resist smiles you always had to return.
January was coming to an end and you were eating lunch with Hermione, boys not with you, brainstorming about the clue Harry got after opening his egg. As you stopped reaching new conclusions, the conversation topic shifted and you recalled how you got involved in one of the twinsâ pranks. â-then I just told him how I was going to tutor George and Fred that afternoon and threw in a couple of insults, saying how insufferably dull they are etc, to appeal to him and avoid further questioning,â you explained how you covered for them with Snape. You were one of few if not the only, non-Slytherin student he respected didnât despise. It was probably thanks to a mix of your character and having two older brothers that you knew where to pick your fights and werenât afraid to swallow your pride if it ultimately meant benefits. It came very useful with Snape.
â-all that was left was for George and Fred to put some finishing touches and voila.â You said munching proudly. âGeorge and Fred?..â asked Ginny, confused, leaning out from behind Hermione, reminding you she was there the whole time. âYeah, I mean, it was their plan, so-â âNo, no- George and Fred?â she continued and looked at Hermione who was just as confused as you. âI mean- itâs always Fred and George.â she said looking between you two âit sounds weird the other way aroundâ she got back to her food, âno one says that..â but she didnât push further as Hermione was biting onto her bottom lip trying to keep a straight face and you put your fork down, suddenly not hungry anymore and -so- weirdly warm.
âââââââââââââââââââ
February, 1995
Youâve been distracted from worrying about your schoolwork and figuring out how to help Harry with his second task, by the arrival of Valentineâs Day. After putting a bit more effort into your appearance you headed to the Great Hall for breakfast feeling excited, although just a tiny bit conflicted. You were on your way to your friends, walking between the tables of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, where your eyes found Matt who shot you a sly wink that made you bite your lip before he turned back to his friends. You never got to really celebrate Valentineâs before, but now you were sure he had something prepared for you. Your mind was taken off of it as you chattered with your friends over breakfast and then headed to your morning classes. As your Transfiguration class was about to start, you opened your bag to reach for your books, but you were surprised. On top of your books was a note, tied to a colourful box you knew well. You looked around the class and took your spot, taking out your things to avoid McGonagallâs attention. Trying to keep a poker face you opened the note:
You look beautiful, as always. Got your favourite Fizzing Whizbees because you ate like a ton at the ball, Secret Admirer
You read and in your attempts to stay quiet you made a tiny squeal mixed with a giggle, which caused confused Ron to turn around and you tried to mask it with a cough. You repeated the words a few times in your head. George thought you were beautiful.
âââââââââââââââââââ
About a week later, it was a fine afternoon for Fred and George. They sweet-talked their way out of detention with Professor Sprout after borrowing an ingredient from one of the greenhouses and were currently on a quest for dinner, walking through one of the quiet corridors surrounding the courtyard near Transfiguration.
George thought the day was going brilliantly and his mood was great until he saw something in the corner of his eye and subconsciously turned his head slightly in that direction. Some couple snogging against a wall, not an extraordinary sight in an otherwise empty corridor. He was about to shrug it off, but then it hit him like a train â his feet got nailed to the ground, blood was draining his body and his smile quickly fell. You were the girl. Fred noticed him stop and followed his gaze. âWhoâs the git?â He said with a disgusted expression. George didnât know, but he recognised him as the Hufflepuff you danced with at the ball, whose hands were now roaming all over your body. âCome on, now.â Fred didnât know what to say to his brother but he knew watching wouldnât do him much good, so he grabbed his shoulder and headed to the Great Hall once more. Approaching Ron, Harry and Hermione, Fred tried to think of a way to loosen their tongues about the Hufflepuff git without showing that he or George cared. â-thatâs why weâll ask Y/N what she thinks, you know sheâs better at it..â said Hermione and Fredâs opportunity came âJust saw her with her boyfriend, she looked busy..â he said lazily flipping his legs over the bench and George followed. âBoyfriend?â Harry questioned as all three of them looked over confused âNearly sucked his face off-â he said earning a kick in the shin under the table from George. âWho is he anyway?â âHufflepuff, tall, dark hair..?â asked Hermione and Fred nodded still determined not to show too much emotion. âAah, Matt?â said Ron with his mouth full and a bit of his food fell out, earning Fredâs disgusted look. âMatthew Aston. Heâs in our year. But theyâre not dating. Heâs not her boyfriend.â said Hermione shortly, looking down at her plate. âSo keeping it casual then, huh..?â Fred raised his eyebrows slightly and slowly nodded. âIt started around the start of the semester, weird you havenât noticed.â said Harry shrugging slightly âYeah, he hangs out with us sometimes, heâs alright.â added Ron. When you arrived at the table you decided not to ask about everybody being weirdly quiet but made a mental note to bring it up later.
That evening, after they told you, you took a long bath in an attempt to sort out your thoughts. It was all true. Matt didnât like seeing you with George at the ball (or at all, frankly), so not long after, he made a move you couldnât resist. And being with him was comfortable. He knew you well, was attractive and so very into you, eager to please. And it was all good, but not enough for you to commit. You kept thinking that maybe one day you will, but you refused to call him your boyfriend. If that wasnât confusing enough, then there was George. He felt right, and he felt real in a way you couldnât describe. That only made you all the more careful with him. Youâve never felt that way towards anyone so you preferred to sit back and wait where it takes you. But you couldnât help but feel guilty. While you felt a bit stiffer around George in the next few days, he slowly came around. He still didnât like the idea of anybody else being close to you in that way, even if not officially in a relationship, but from his interactions with you, he concluded all was not yet lost. And for now, he found an outlet for his negative emotions in subtle glares whenever he saw Matt around the school. Â
âââââââââââââââââââ
As the second task of the Tournament was getting closer, it occupied your mind. Lunchtimes, afternoons and evenings spent in the library to no avail, you were getting more desperate in finding a solution for surviving an hour underwater. You had less and less time, and now you found yourself watching the last sunset through the library window, before the day of the task. You had secretly given up on finding anything in those books, Ron did not hide it anymore and Hermione felt insulted as the library had never failed her before. âOh this is no use,â Hermione said, snapping shut Weird Wizarding Dilemmas. âWho on earth wants to make their nose hair grow into ringlets?â âI wouldnât mind,â said Fred Weasleyâs voice. âBe a talking point, wouldnât it?â The four of you looked up. Fred and George had just emerged from behind some bookshelves. âWhatâre you two doing here?â Ron asked. âLooking for you,â said George, which perked up your curiosity âMcGonagall wants you, Ron. And you, Hermione.â âWhy?â said Hermione, looking surprised. âHang on, why those two?â You narrowed your eyes. You got why she couldâve excluded Harry, but if she took Hermione and Ron, youâd expect her to ask for you too. âDunno⊠she was looking a bit grim, though,â said Fred. âWeâre supposed to take you down to her office,â said George. Ron and Hermione stared at Harry, and you shared a concerned look with him. âWeâll meet you back in the common room,â Hermione told you two as she got up to go with Ron â both of them looked very anxious. âBring as many of these books as you can, okay?â âRight,â said harry uneasily and you just nodded. You and Harry stayed in the library a bit longer, until Madam Pince kicked you out, then made your way to the Gryffindor tower with a stack of tomes each. You waited and waited, but Ron and Hermione never came back, and so around midnight, you excused yourself to go to bed, advising Harry to do the same. The next morning you missed Harry at breakfast and headed out with the crowd to watch the second task, hoping he was already getting ready. It felt weird not having Hermione or Ron beside you on the way to the lake. By the boats, you were looking for any familiar faces to group with, when you heard two well-known voices behind you, taking bets. You walked in their direction waving, hoping theyâd notice your small figure amongst the crowd. âHello, sunshine!â George beamed at you, slamming the suitcase shut. âA beautiful morning, innit?â added Fred, as you scooted closer to them and away from the moving crowd. âThe sky is literally grey,â you said looking up but he just waved his hand and rolled his eyes, mouthing âdetailsâ. âShall we get a boat?â you looked at the water and back at them âor are you staying here?â âYeah weâre coming,â said George before Fred could speak up. After George helped you out of the boat the three of you headed towards the seats higher up, where you spotted Lee. You walked up the stairs to see a few black-and-yellow scarves in the seats towards the back. âHi, Y/N/N,â said Matt with a single wave, making Ericâs head shot up with a grin âHeey, Y/N!â Out of the corner of your eye, you saw that Georgeâs head was still turned towards you when Fred took his seat next to Lee. âHi,â you said with a smile and a little wave, then turned to Fred and Lee and took a seat with George. After the had jumped into the water and out of sight, you decided to make yourself comfortable â you took out a blanket and some snacks you prepared in the morning. The boys had noticed as you picked up the blanket to unfold it and laughed a little âGetting cosy, huh?â Fred said with an amused grin. âWeâre gonna be here for an hour and itâs not like thereâs anything to watch, reallyâ you pointed at the water surface âmight as well.â You brought your legs up and sat cross-legged and given how close you were sat, your knee rested on one of Georgeâs legs. âdoes that bother you?â âNo, itâs alright,â George thought it was cute, really, how you were getting comfy and covered your legs, but above all, he didnât mind that bit of physical contact. âWhat- youâre not gonna share?â he acted appalled and looked at your blanket, then back at you. You rolled your eyes, suppressing a smile, then unfolded the blanket fully, covered his legs, earning a grin, and even threw it over Fred and Leeâs too. You picked up a bag of snacks and the four of you spent the remaining time chatting, playing some exploding snap, and you even managed to pull them into exchanging some gossip.
âââââââââââââââââââ March, 1995
After the second task, the three of your friends were in the spotlight, which sort of affected your life, too. But the real problem was the pile of work you ignored while helping Harry prepare. Thatâs how you found yourself, early Saturday afternoon, at one of the smaller tables in the common room with your notes and various books in front of you as the sun rays were shyly poking through the window, asking for attention before spring officially started.
You had been sitting there for some time now and felt like you should probably take a break as the information was becoming harder to understand and took longer to assimilate. But you also couldnât bring yourself to pause, with still so much to go over and you tried not to panic each time you glanced at the âto-doâ pile.
You were leaning on the table and nervously fixed your ponytail, when a mug with steaming, familiar liquid was placed in front of you. You looked up to see George as he leaned back against the table.
âLemon balm. You drink it often in the evenings.. helps with anxiety, right?â he said with a small smile as you stared at him in shock. âYeah- yeah I do..â You looked down at the tea again. âIs that for me?â you asked, just to make sure, but George just shook his head in disbelief and laughed softly, which you took as a yes. âthank you, thenâ you took a sip. âCan I join you?â âYeah, sure, of courseâ
He mentally high-fived himself. He saw you earlier, slouching over the books with a worried expression and realized he wouldnât be able to just enjoy the rest of his Saturday if he didnât do anything about it. Tearing you away from your work was out of the question â you were no Hermione but you had a sense of responsibility, so if you had to study, you would study.Â
His best bet was to make it easier for you. You were often found doing homework in study groups and you found working around others to be motivating, even if you were doing completely separate things. He had a bit of trouble deciding if revealing he knows your favourite herbal tea was cute or creepy but he took his chances. When you thought about it that evening in the shower you didnât believe he was actually studying, but he pretended to, and it worked.
It made your heart flutter, thinking of how caring George was. He seemed to genuinely care, and you couldnât help but want more of it. You loved the idea of him caring about you. Over the last few months you were almost positive he had -some- feelings for you, and you did too. But after that act, you realized, you started falling. Seriously.
âââââââââââââââââââ
A week later, you stepped out of the great hall after lunch, headed to the dungeons with Matt, wrapped up in a conversation. âUgh, he just doesnât know when to shut up..â he said with hands in his pockets and you chuckled lightly âbut I guess quidditch boys just canât help themselvesâ he paused, his gaze straight ahead âlike the Weasleys.â Oh-ho, if he said that name then heâs definitely in a bad mood. Your expression fell a bit. âTheyâre just obnoxious, I really donât know why you keep hanging out with them.â âTheyâre not always that obnoxious, I know them well. Theyâre alrightâ He scoffed. âAlright⊠but theyâre not like us.â You furrowed your eyebrows. Matt has been subtly hinting dislike towards the twins, or George in particular, and suggested you didnât spend so much time with them before, but it was unlike him to act like an elitist shit. You stopped. âI like them.â âYeah, thatâs the problem, isnât it? I think you got a bit confused. One of them might be thinking you like him a little too much.â He fake-smiled. You didnât know what to say, and he looked you straight in the eye now âCut it out Y/N, I mean it this time. I donât want you hanging with them anymore.â âWell you donât have a say in that, do you?!â You knew you hit a weak point. âYou know what?! This whole thing was getting boring anyway.â You kept your voice even, as you were fuming inside. âWe should end it before you think I like you a little too much. You can go fuck yourself, friend.â You turned around and with shoulders straight and you walked away in quick, long steps. He didnât go after you.
It wasnât until you reached the grand staircase that you slowed down a bit and allowed yourself to calm down. With each step, you were more glad you did what you did. When you stepped through the portrait you immediately realized Merlin still had your back. Fred and George, right there at the table. With your mind set, you walked up.
âHi boys. You busy?â You sat down and they turned their attention to you. âNot really, what is it?â âI just wanted to hang out, Iâm in need of a good time.â You said smiling at them both and they shared a look. âFlatterer,â said Fred, flicking his hair. âDâyou wanna go outside?â asked George It was quite warm, so you nodded. âIâll just run up to my room and grab a few things.â
When you came back George was waiting, lounging on the couch and Fred nowhere in sight. When he noticed you he jumped up and beamed at you âAfter me.â
You walked in comfortable silence for a bit, which you broke only after you left the castle. âFred not coming with us?â you asked in a non-suspicious tone âNot this time, had something to take care of. Why, disappointed?â he teased you and you bumped his side earning a small laugh. âSo, why were you in such a desperate need of a good time?â he tried to start a conversation. You were silent for a bit, thinking things over. âMatt and I had a fight.â you opted for honesty âOh,â he tried not to sound hopeful. âI ended things with him. â George raised his eyebrows âDid he do something? I thought you liked him.â âHe didnât do anything. He was okay, but that was it, really. And then he liked me too much.. and that was his problem.â you said looking down at the ground.Â
George tried not to be selfish, he was happy you came to him at that moment. He wanted to be there for you and not think too far ahead about how that would benefit him. But something about you saying Matt liked you too much was worrying.
âNot to whine, but I came to you hoping I wouldnât have to think about it anymoreâ you looked up at him and brought him out of his thoughts. âUgh- of course, erm..â he scratched the back of his head âThereâs something I wanted to show you.â
You walked along the shore of the lake for a bit and took a turn to walk between some trees and found a steep pathway leading up a bit and back towards the lake. In the end, you found an opening between the thick trees and bushes, its edge a few meters above the edge of the lake. You took in your surroundings and found the spot cosy, you could also see the castle in the distance, though you couldâve sworn you had never seen this place from there.
âLike it?â George asked from behind you, standing with his hands in his pockets and shoulders slouched a bit. You turned around and met his warm eyes, your amazement etched into your expression. âLove it,â you said and immediately cringed a bit. But it warmed his heart to hear that, he hadnât brought anyone there before.
âYeah, I like it here.â He said walking up to the edge to look over it. âI donât think many people know about this place, which makes it even better.â he turned back to you making the butterflies in your stomach go crazy. He took a seat on the ground near the edge and patted the spot next to him, which you took.
âSoo.. what do you wanna do?â He asked leaning back on his arms. Your mind went to a few possible options, none of them appropriate. âor we could just talkâ he tried to take some pressure off of you. At that moment you remembered something and started looking through your bag. You took a deck of cards out and held them up
âYou ever played âtreacheryâ?â you smirked and wiggled your eyebrows a bit and he shook his head after a bit of thought. âWe face away from each other,â you said as you shifted in your spot and he reluctantly followed. âLean back.â âLike that?â he said pushing his back onto yours and in result folding you in half, earning half-groan half-laugh from you, before he sat normally. Feeling the warmth of his back on yours and the vibration of his voice made the experience surprisingly intimate. You were so close, but you didnât see each otherâs faces, which made both of you feel a little less self-conscious. You explained the rules of the game to him. He caught up pretty quickly and you played a few rounds before getting bored with it. Then you talked, about everything, and nothing really.Â
You sat on the edge with one of your legs dangling over, a wide smile plastered on your face. The early spring sun was slowly setting and your stomach started to remind you it was almost dinner time. Just a few more minutes, you thought to yourself.
On your way back, the steep path proved more difficult and you gladly accepted when George offered you his hand to take. However, when you reached the bottom, neither one of you let go. He slowly intertwined your fingers and the two of you continued to walk in silence along the lake. You had done things that would seem much more intimate before, but nothing felt quite like it. It was exciting and calming at the same time, it felt completely new but so natural and right.
As you approached the castle, the clocktower courtyard in sight and you could see other students walking about, you both, mutually, loosened the grip until you let go.
âââââââââââââââââââ
April, 1995
Ever since George took you to your spot by the lake, you spent more time with him. He always took a moment to ask about your day and little things when he saw you around the school, and you felt more comfortable to just walk up to him to chat.
April Foolsâ or twinsâ birthday came on Saturday. You didnât see them at breakfast and they sat far away during lunch. You still havenât got the chance to wish him a happy birthday â a simple act you were quite looking forward to, to show that you cared and see his reaction. Mother Nature was being very generous with the weather, the early afternoon was quite warm and sunny and you took that opportunity to set up a blanket for yourself under one of the trees near the training grounds and read a bit.
You donât turn seventeen every day and Fred and George took it very seriously. Thatâs why they had just stashed with Lee all the necessary party supplies in the boathouse to celebrate that night and were now headed back to the castle. George saw you lounging on the blanket, he noticed you from afar as if it became his seventh sense. He gazed at you for just a moment, his hands in the pockets of his shorts and felt a jab at his side.
âThe fuck was that for?!â he grimaced at his snickering twin. âIf you ask me, she looks as if sheâs about to run away. Youâd better catch her before she realizes youâre coming.â Fred said with fake seriousness, earning an eye-roll. However, Georgeâs mind was too preoccupied for a witty comeback. âIâll see you.. later.â âJust donât embarrass me even more!â Fred shouted after him. When he walked up you closed the book on your finger and seeing his bright smile, you couldnât not smile back.
âHello,â you said enthusiastically. âHiâ he did a little wave, standing on the edge of your blanket. âHappy birthdayâ âThank you,â you put a bookmark in your book and put it away, then sat up. You were silent for a bit and George shifted on his feet. âYouâre just gonna stand there?â Georgeâs mind went blank and you saw his shocked face as he opened and closed his mouth a few times âI mean that you can sit down if you want.â âOoh,â he replied with a slight relief and quickly made himself comfortable on the soft blanket, the two of you now sat cross-legged, facing each other.
âSo how is it being a responsible adult?â you asked making him snort âThatâs likely.â You giggled, biting on your bottom lip, something George has grown to love. âWhatâre you reading?â he asked nudging your thigh with his foot lightly. âYou really wanna know?â you asked, with a slight doubt, but you were excited to tell him a little bit about your interests. âI really wanna know.â He said, lying down on the blanket and looking up at the tree above. You started with telling him about the book you were currently reading, then you talked about what the two of you generally enjoy reading and then it just continued like it always did with him.Â
You quickly found yourself on the blanket next to him, looking up at the leaves swaying with the gentle wind and eventually his hand found yours, tracing patterns on your palm and playing with your fingers absentmindedly.
âââââââââââââââââââ May, 1995
You and the three of your friends crept out of your dormitories at daybreak near the end of May. It was really important for you to send an owl to Sirius. You were still debating the events of the previous night, what happened with Victor Krum and Mr Crouch when Hermione shushed you all. You heard footsteps going up to the owlery and two arguing voices.
The Owlery door banged open. Fred and George came over the threshold, then froze at the sight of you, Harry, Ron, and Hermione. âWhatâre you doing here?â Ron and Fred said at the same time. âSending a letter,â said Harry and George in unison. âWhat, at this time?â said Hermione and Fred. At this point, you were looking all over everyone with narrowed eyes. Fred grinned. âFine â we wonât ask you what youâre doing if you donât ask us,â he said. He was holding a sealed envelope in his hands. Harry glanced at it, but Fred, whether accidentally or on purpose, shifted his hand so that the name on it was covered. âWell, donât let us hold you up,â Fred said, making a mock bow and pointing at the door. Ron didnât move. âWhoâre you blackmailing?â he said. The grin vanished from Fredâs face. Harry saw George half glance at Fred, before smiling at Ron. âDonât be stupid, I was only joking,â he said easily. You furrowed your eyebrows and kept listening. âDidnât sound like that,â said Ron. Fred and George looked at each other. Then Fred said abruptly, âIâve told you before, Ron, keep your nose out if you like it the shape it is. Canât see why you would, but ââ âItâs my business if youâre blackmailing someone,â said Ron. âGeorgeâs right, you could end up in serious trouble for that.â You agreed with it and was concerned about what they got themselves into. âTold you, I was joking,â said George. You felt disappointed. He walked over to Fred, pulled the letter out of his hands, and began attaching it to the leg of the nearest barn owl. âYouâre starting to sound a bit like our dear older brother, you are, Ron. Carry on like this and youâll be made a prefect.â âNo, I wonât!â said Ron hotly. George carried the barn owl over to the window and it took off. George turned around and grinned at Ron âWell, stop telling people what to do then. See you later.â
You took one last look at him and it was like looking at a stranger, youâve never seen his eyes this cold, then he and Fred left the Owlery. Harry, Ron, you and Hermione stared at one another.
âYou donât think they know something about all this, do you?â Hermione whispered. âAbout Crouch and everything?â âNo,â said Harry. âIf it was something that serious, theyâd tell someone. Theyâd tell Dumbledore.â Ron, however, was looking uncomfortable. âWhatâs the matter?â Hermione asked him. âWellâŠâ said Ron slowly, âI dunno if they would. Theyâre⊠theyâre obsessed with making money lately, I noticed it when I was hanging around with them â when â you know ââ âWe werenât talking.â Harry finished the sentence for him. âYeah, but blackmailâŠâ âItâs this joke shop idea theyâve got,â said Ron. âI thought they were only saying it to annoy Mum, but they really mean it, they want to start one. Theyâve only got a year left at Hogwarts, they keep going on about how itâs time to think about their future, and Dad canât help them, and they need gold to get started.â You and Hermione were looking uncomfortable now. âYes, but⊠they wouldnât do anything against the law to get gold.â âWouldnât they?â said Ron, looking sceptical. âI dunno⊠they donât exactly mind breaking rules, do they?â You felt slightly sick. âYeah but not that kind of rules.â âThis is the law,â said Hermione, looking scared. âThis isnât some silly school rule⊠Theyâll get a lot more than detention for blackmail! Ron⊠maybe youâd better tell PercyâŠâ âAnd what would that change?â you said. âAre you mad?â said Ron. âTell Percy? Heâd probably do a Crouch and turn them in.â He stared at the window through which Fred and Georgeâs owl had departed, then said, âCome on, letâs get some breakfast.â
âââââââââââââââââââ June, 1995
After the encounter in the owlery, you barely saw George or talked to him. It was the day of the third task. When you saw that the empty spot left for you was next to George you panicked a bit and felt stiff at first.
When Harry came out of the labyrinth with the Cup, the orchestra started playing and people cheered. But you felt something was wrong and felt a chill down your back â you noticed Harryâs face first and leaned forward to see what was on the ground next to him.
You felt faint and all the noise around you was muted. You stepped back without looking and stumbled a bit but George grabbed you. âHe-he's deadâŠâ you whispered still looking at Cedricâs body.
âWhat?..â Georgeâs expression fell immediately as he brought you a bit closer and looked over the crowd to see for himself. âCedâs dead..â said facing George. He took you in his arms and you hid your face in his chest, your hands clinging to his shirt tightly. He couldnât get a word out, just held you tight and placed his chin on top of your head. The moment was interrupted as all the Weasleys started ushering out of the stands, Y/N and Hermione with them.Â
The next few days werenât easy but you came to terms with the reality â Voldemort was back, he killed Cedric Diggory and you were certain the future of you and your friends would be challenging.
âââââââââââââââââââ
With a few days left before youâd all leave for the summer, you and Hermione decided to enjoy the warm, sunny afternoon and lounged on the grass in one of the courtyards. The exams were done with and you forgot about all the danger for just a day.
You were soaking in the sun, your eyes closed, when suddenly you felt a shadow cast over your face. You opened your eyes to see George crouching beside you.
âFancy taking a walk?â âOooh but Hermione and I were having our gal pal time. Werenât we, Miney?â You said with an exaggerated pout. She chuckled at you. âI think we went over every boy in the school,â she started getting up, âIâll see you later.â âBye, bye, girlfriend!â you waved to her and George helped you get off the ground.
âWas there something, in particular, you wanted to talk about?â you asked after you started walking. George bit his lip and looked straight ahead, âThere is, but letâs go to the lake.â âOk,â you said with a small voice, wondering where this was going.
âWere you avoiding me?â He asked once you got to the lake and kept walking along the shore. Were you? â you thought. âSomething changed. You didnât talk to me, you wouldnât smile like you did before.â He said with genuine hurt in his voice. âI missed that.â he paused for a bit, âwas it about the blackmail thing?â
You didnât know what to say.
âbecause I didnât tell you anything?â âLook, I know it was kinda stupid of me. You donât owe me anything and you donât have to tell me anything. And I didnât avoid you.. on purpose.â you stopped and faced the lake, âI guess I just- I kinda hoped you would want to tell me, you know..?â
A few seconds passed and you turned back to see him looking at you. He looked at his shoes and took a deep breath, then held out his hand with a serious expression. You took the few steps towards him and took the hand you missed so much. You started slowly walking again. âRemember when we went to the World Cup?â he started. âOf course.â âAnd how Fred and I placed that bet?â You hopped up and walked along one of the larger rocks ââŠIreland wins but the Bulgarians get the snitch â I remember. Brilliant by the way, I still canât believe you got it.â you hopped down. George smirked for a second. âBrilliant indeed. You may or may not remember that we asked for our money right after the match ended. Old Ludo wasnât happy with it, but eventually, he paid up.â you nodded âThe catch is, he gave us leprechaun gold.â âNoo... What a dick!â you said in genuine disbelief. âI know,â he replied grimly. âBagman seemed fishy, I think I heard my dad rant about him once, but that⊠â âYup. We tried getting him to pay up multiple times â nice at first, but he wouldnât. And now he apparently up and vanished, so itâs over - a lost cause.â You were speechless for a second. âGeorge, Iâm so sorry. You gave him all your savings..â you moved even closer to him. âItâs alright.â He let go of your hand to wrap an arm around your shoulder, âweâll just have to work even harder. But weâll get there. Still got a year left in here.â âThatâs right⊠You know I forget youâre older sometimes. But Iâll still be here for 2 more years after you graduate.â You looked up at the castle across the lake, in the distance. âItâs gonna be weird.â âHow? Boring?â he asked, expecting a snarky response. âYeahâ you gave him an honest one instead. âDonât worry, love, weâve still got a year.â he squeezed you closer, making you chuckle. âWill you write to me this summer?â He asked. âOnly if you write first.â âHave you got any parchment on you?â
With your moods significantly better, you headed to the Great Hall for dinner, the future suddenly not so scary anymore.
Discord Highlights #4: Green Lands Far & New...
After the last instalment of highlights, a lot has happened, from negotiating with immortal Death Knights to winning big in a Feywild fighting pit, to now wanting to talk to the Queen of the Feywild herself, so letâs get into some explanations, shall we?
Shattered Souls: Bustinâ Heads & Winning Big!
After arriving in the Feywild a few sessions ago, the Party gathered and discovered that the famed Cultist of the Red Star that they had been hunting down was working in the Feywild Fighting Pits of the Starlight City, and after pulling off a few displays of daring dauntlessness, the Party challenged the Gladiator himself, going by the title of âThe White Ramâ due to his albino tiefling skin, to a Fighting Match on the Day of Mid-Summer, when Lady Shandria, Leader of the Starlight City and Niece to the Queen of the Feywild, could observe their fight.
Following some more preparations and a few bets made of the Partyâs behalf, Ibernia, a Former Champion of the Fighting Pits and Monk of the Astral Self, stepped forward to duel The White Ram, but quickly fell to his blade...
That is until Blanche, the Sorcerer and Warlock of the Group, abused her knowledge of The White Ramâs True Name to rack his mind with psychic pain, allowing Ibernia to recover from her near lethal injuries (thanks to a Natural 20 on a Death Check) and rise up after nearly being bisected horizontally, now able to turn the pretty face of The White Ram into a bloody caved-in mess of broken bones.
Now, with their fight won and their spoils of war received (as well as a few tens of thousands of Gold Pieces in bets), the Party finds out that Blanche requires the body of The White Ram in order to complete a sinister deal she made with âAn Old Swamp Witchâ, who just happens to go by the name Baba Yaga.
What does Baba Yaga have in store for Blanche, how will the Party cross a Feywild Swamp the size of a small sea to find this âOld Witchâ, and how will they leave the Feywild if they donât even know how they entered?
Looks like the only way to find out is to listen to Shattered Souls Live in our D&D Discord ServerâŠ
Heaven & Hel: Making Friends & Crossing Planes...
When we last left our heroes, they were floating around in the Astral Sea looking for a Lost Library, carved from the skull of a long dead goddess.
Well, as it turns out, they found it!
And after completing their travels through the Astral Plane, and managing to find a Colour Pool back home, the Party quickly realised they needed some rest and relaxation, as their time away from the Material Plane quickly caught up with them as soon as they arrived back, causing the Party to gain a whole 5 Level of Exhaustion (letâs just thank them for not staying in the Astral Sea any longer...)
But after a short amount of Downtime and rest, the Party had finally awoken in their forest camp outside of the small forest town of Thanlo, feeling refreshed and rid of their Exhaustion.
And so, after recovering from their time away catching up with them, the Party now plans to investigate the local ruined Farmhouses and Mill to the north of Town, with the hopes of finding a Fey Crossing into the Feywild, so that Maltuul, the Elven Wizard of the Party who has been trying to convince the World that the Prophecy of Ragnarok (Known also as âThe Old Apocalypseâ) is real, may cross over into the Feywild and convince The Summer Court of his Homeland to aid him in his Quest to halt Ragnarok.
Will Maltuul and the Party be able to convince the many Archfey of The Summer Court to aid them in their time of need, or are these Demi-God like powers a-ok with the destruction of the Material Plane?
Looks like the only way to find out is to listen to Heaven & Hel as it happens, Live in our D&D Discord Server!
Debt & Darkness: Welcome to the Jungle...
After exploring the many rooms of the Demi-Plane Donjon of Tulkaz the Lichâs Astral Dreadnought, and dealing with its many traps and dangers therein, the Party discovered a Concealed Room within the Donjon, finding within a Grey Gateway into the Ethereal Plane.
With some hesitation, the Party entered and fought off a few denizens, before finding the forgotten mass of bones described in Tulkazâs notes.
Following a few conversations with the denizens of the townâs twisting necropolis, the Group was directed to a Man known as "Lord Ran", an undying Death Knight who spoke to them of his life in Tulkaz's service, and how the Key to The Second Ward of Tulkaz was magically tethered to his Life Force, and his Body bound to the town itself.
However, after a flash of genius and some quickly planning, the Party was able to use Tulkaz's own magical Wards against him, as they brought the floating Grey Gateway of Tulkaz's Astral Dreadnought into the civilization known as Bonetown and convinced Lord Ran to step through, where upon his first steps into the Aura of Anti-Magic that surrounded The Second Ward, the necromantic energies that sustained him were stripped away, leaving only a corpse that crumpled to the floor, while also rendering Tulkazâs Puzzle Box nothing more than a piece of mundane wood, which was then broken open to reveal a serrated Key.
This is honesty one of the proudest and funniest moments thereâs been in the Campaign so far, as absolutely zero Party Members wanted to fight Lord Ran, a CR 19 Death Knight, and so had to âGet Creative!â to find a way of getting the Key from him without fighting him...
Using this Key, the Party was able to open The Metal Door that was The Second Ward of Tulkaz, where they found an empty space beyond, with a single pink jewel suspended in place.
Carina, being the bold scientist of the Group and willing to test her hypothesis, touched the pink gemstone and was scattered into a Pocket Dimension, as she was then shortly followed by Innocence, as they both found themselves falling into a deep blue ocean.
And so, after a brief stint of panic from falling into the ocean, Carina and Innocence swam to the shore of this otherworldly jungle, arriving on the beaches of an Otherworldly Isle in the middle of a vast blue expanse, where they now hope to navigate the new place they find themselves in, still on the hunt for Tulkazâs Hidden Phylactery.
Home is Where You Are pt 9 |Â Feysand
Girl next door AU. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 10
The days went by in a blur, after that. Rhys had spent so long trying to make sure Feyre was alright, but this time, like every time, she astounded him with the strength of her. He thought she'd need time to adjust, thought they'd have to take things slowly. But she didn't. To his utter delight, Feyre promptly moved herself into Rhys' room, and spent every night curled up tight against him. Her underwear spilled out of his drawer, her perfume lingered on his pillows, and she walked around the house half naked in the evenings. He could have died of happiness, except that would mean he'd have to leave Feyre and that was not happening, not ever, not if he had any say in it.
The first weekend was easy, of course. They spent the whole in time bed, ordered take out and took a shower together but then immediately got messy again when they got back to the bedroom. Then Monday had rolled around, and Rhys tried to slip out without waking her so he could get ready for work. But as he sat on the edge of the bed, Feyre rolled over and curled herself around his hips, still half asleep and so fucking adorable that he was rooted to the spot. He kissed her cheekbone right on a bright pink spot, and she caught his lips before he pulled away. And then somehow they were making love and Rhys was fifteen minutes late to work that day.
In the car on the way home that first Monday, Rhys had wondered what it would be like when he got back to the apartment. Whether things would be weird between them, or if she would need some space after their weekend together. In fact he found himself slightly nervous as he unlocked the front door. Then he walked in and Feyre was sitting on the counter top where they had first kissed, completely naked. They didn't make it to the bedroom.
After that it was so, completely easy. Feyre wore a pair of his boxer shorts to bed every night- which meant she got into bed wearing his boxer shorts but never fell asleep in them because her in his underwear was so damn sexy that Rhys had to peel them off her. And he was sure he would never get used to waking up next to her. Once, she had gotten up to make coffee and Rhys slept though it. He woke without her and for a second he was completely convinced that he had dreamed the whole thing and would now be dumped back into reality. Then Feyre had walked in with two mugs of coffee, in his work shirt from the previous day and nothing else, and she had yelped when he pounced on her and almost made her spill. The coffee was cold by the time they got to drinking it.
As time went on, Rhys' world seemed to get both more surreal and also more real and solid to him than it had ever been. He had no idea what he used to do before Feyre lived here. And Feyre- Feyre was magnificent. She started working full time again, her paintings filled the little apartment with a thousand colours, and she never ran out of kisses for him. She was a fucking miracle. Rhys walked in on her singing in the kitchen one day, wrapped his arms around her waist from behind while she was stretching up to put a glass back in the cupboard, and said "I love you," into her neck. Feyre had turned her head to kiss him, simply said "I love you too," and carried on tidying dishes away. Rhys had let her do it for all of thirty seconds before he hoisted her over his shoulder and carried her to bed, Feyre shrieking laughter the whole way.
Two weeks after that, they drove to Tamlin's house to pick up the rest of Feyre's things. He had wanted to come with her, had wanted to kick Tamlin's teeth in, actually, but Feyre made him wait in the car. She was quiet on the drive over, but with a grim determination set in her jaw. She squeezed his hand, but avoided his tortured eyes before getting out. Rhys sat with his knuckles white on the steering wheel the whole time, straining his ears and yet knowing that even if he heard a struggle Tamlin could hit her faster than he could bust down the door.
But Feyre emerged unscathed, and let Rhys help her load the armful of boxes into the trunk as Tamlin watched, scowling, from the door. Rhys met his eyes only once, and looked at him with every ounce of hate and rage he had. Then did not look at him again, for fear that he really would tear his throat out if he thought for one more second about that piece of shit laying a hand on Feyre.
When they got back to the apartment, Rhys dropped the boxes he was carrying and pulled Feyre into his arms. Just stood like that, for minutes, as if he could find the wounds that Tamlin had inflected inside and out, and just squeeze them back together again. He wondered if he was doing it for Feyre's sake, or his own.
That evening, Rhys cooked dinner while Feyre unpacked. He told her it was her place too, so she could do what she liked with the house, and then made paella. By the time they were sitting down to eat, Feyre looked tired but contented, and Rhys was quietly happy that it now felt more like their shared space rather than his house that she lived in.
"This is so good," Feyre said with her mouth full, and her eyes sliding closed. Rhys loved her like this- when she was enjoying something and got lost in it.
"Thanks," he said. "Are you sure you don't want help unpacking? I'll wash up and then give you a hand." Feyre shook her head. "It's all done," she said. Her eyes travelled around the room as she chewed. "I'm suddenly realising that this is not a big apartment, now that there are two people's things in here." "Well," Rhys said slowly, "if it's too small for you, we could easily find somewhere else to live." "No!" Feyre said quickly. "I didn't mean it was too small. I love it here, I just feel like I've taken up so much of your space." "Still," Rhys murmured. "I actually have another place, pretty far out from the city, but maybe we could take a short vacation there."
Feyre put down her fork. "You have a holiday house?" she asked. "Wow, you kept that one from me." Rhys chuckled. "I had been saving and I didn't know what for. They say property is a good investment." "Well yeah, let's go this weekend! Where is it?" But Rhys just smiled into his mug. "I want to surprise you," was all he would say.
So the next weekend, Feyre packed an overnight bag, and Rhys used one of his silk ties as a blindfold.
"Mmm," he sighed as he knotted it around her eyes. "Now this is a sexy look," he said. "I'm completely at your mercy," Feyre said. "Now where are you taking me?"
Rhys slid his hands around her waist, under her shirt, and pressed a kiss to the underside of her jaw. Then he pulled back, and put his teeth on her opposite ear lobe. Feyre shivered.
"We might not get very far at all," Rhys purred, then dropped to his knees and put his mouth on the seam of Feyre's leggings. She gasped in surprise, and reached for his shoulders.
"Oh yes," he said. "I like you blindfolded."
He stood back up, and pulled her into a deep, slow kiss. Then he walked her backward, until her back hit a door. She sighed at the wooden thud behind her, and began to melt in his arms. Rhys laughed, and pulled her bag over his shoulder.
"We'll have to pick this up later," he whispered in her ear, then guided her down to the car.
They drove and drove, and Feyre fell asleep an hour in. She woke when the car stopped, gave a start, and then remembered she was blindfolded.
"Can I take the damn thing off yet?" she asked Rhys. "Soon," Rhys said, then pulled her along.
Inside the house, their footsteps echoed in the empty room. Rhys walked Feyre through to the kitchen, then lifted her up onto the benchtop. He sighed.
"Do you know that kitchen counters turn me on, now? Furniture is making me horny. I blame you entirely."
Feyre smiled, and Rhys ran his thumb along her bottom lip. Then he reached forward, and removed the blindfold.
Feyre blinked a few times, having now been blind for some hours. Then as her eyes adjusted, and she looked around, she gasped. Rhys grinned, and rubbed her leg.
"It's... it's my old house," Feyre said. "Yes," said Rhys. "Well, actually, it's your new house. If you want it." "But... we sold it." "To me. I am so very sneaky." Rhys' eyes danced, but Feyre just gaped at him. He continued.
"This house was the only home I ever knew. And I know how much you loved it. So I... I bought it for you. We don't have to move here, we both work in the city so we can keep living in the apartment, if you want. But now this will be here for you too, whenever you're ready for it."
Feyre put her hands on Rhys' chest.
"I... Thank you doesn't seem like enough. I don't know what to say." "Say nothing," Rhys said. "You gave me a home for many years and I just wanted to give it back to you."
Feyre's eyes filled with tears, and she tugged Rhys closer. He stood between her knees, and she ran her hands up to squeeze his shoulders.
"Well," she said thickly. She looked up at him. "Where do you want to live?" "Wherever you are," Rhys said. And then he kissed her tears away as they spilled over, before wrapping his arms around her and kissing her lips.
****
One more after this, yeah? I haven't written it yet, so it might be a bit longer but... I just don't want to leave just yet.
Alone - Spencer Reid
Prompt: âDid you get any sleep last night?â
TW: Heavy mentions of death, angst
A/N: Hey guys so this is something I worked on for a few days. I got the idea from a list of dialogue prompts I have.
Part 2
âWhy didnât you save me?â
You shot up like a bullet, your heart racing as tears threatened to spill from your eyes. The cold air burned your lungs as you drew in deep breaths, your ears still ringing from the nightmare. Your sweat-soaked shirt clung to your body, leaving a sticky residue over your skin.
Glancing at your alarm clock you let out a big groan, 4:23AM, you had barely made it 2 hours.
Knowing you wouldnât make it back to sleep, you dragged yourself out of bed and into your kitchen. Tipping out your now cold coffee, you set about making a new hot cup to awaken your mind for the excruciatingly long day ahead. The bitter coffee burned your tongue, too lazy to care about the taste or burning you downed the cup quickly. You filled the cup again, downing it once more before throwing the cup into the over-piling sink.
The nightmares since your sisters death had been relentless, torturing you past the point of exhaustion. Avery, your sister, was killed by a drunk driver a mere two weeks ago. You werenât very close to your younger sister, but still her sudden and painful death left you with a myriad of nightmares that followed. Your parents had already died, quite a few years ago, leaving only you and your sister to carry on the family line. But now, you were the only one left, left alone to deal with the aftermath of your sisterâs death.
Hell, you and your sister werenât close. In fact, you couldnât be more opposite from each other. But that didnât stop the love you had for her. Sure, you fought, every sibling fights every now and then. She didnât approve of your work and you didnât approve of hers; yours was dangerous, hers wasnât enough to support her. You made it work though. Because you loved your sister.
And now, she was gone, just like your parents.
Your apartment seemed empty, no one else had ever lived there, but the hole in your heart made a hole in your apartment. You were alone. The photos of your family that you once proudly displayed now sat in a box, painful memories of everything you had lost.
Tired of standing in your apartment, you reached for your car keys before leaving the apartment. Driving was one of your favourite ways to get things off of your mind. You didnât have to think of the pain, or the loss. It was just you and the road.
4am meant mostly empty roads, and tired drivers who wanted to be anywhere else but there. Except for you, you were wide awake and looking for the perfect distraction from your thoughts. Turning on the radio, you waited for a quiet sad song to start playing before pulling out of your apartmentâs parking lot. It was the perfect distraction.
After a few hours of driving, you got a call from Hotch on your way back to your apartment.
âWe got a case; briefing is in 30 minutes.â He announced sharply before hanging up. Letting out a loud sigh, you turned around and drove back towards the office. Luckily, you had thought ahead and thrown your go bag into the backseat of your car, along with a change of clothes for work. You werenât really planning on heading home before work started. Instead, hoping that youâd find something to entertain yourself with.
âY/L/N, how nice of you to join us.â Emily teased jokingly as you rushed into the briefing room, breathless from the quick change you had done.
âSorry, long night.â You apologised before sitting in your seat, the tablets being handed around by Penelope.
âOh, was he good?â Emily said teasingly.
âUm, what?â You questioned. Confused, you looked at her before realising that she thought you were with a guy.
âDid you get any sleep last night?â Derek asked, his eyes watching you carefully. You glanced at him nervously, avoiding his eyes. He already knew the answer, they all did.
Hotch cleared his throat, drawing the roomâs attention back to the case at hand.
âOkay, so we have a murdered couple in Sheridan, Wyoming. Itâs a small town with about 18,000 people. The local police department have done some investigating but came up with no viable leads. This is believed to be the third couple murdered in a string of crimes. Weâve been asked to come in and help catch the unsub.â JJ explained, pictures flashing up on the screen of the couple.
You zoned out, focusing on the photo of the female on the screen. Her black hair was the same colour of your sisters, her lips the same shade of pink. She looked scarily like your sister, so much so, that if your sister werenât already dead, youâd be convinced that it was her.
âY/N, come on weâre leaving in 30 minutes.â Reid announced, nudging your side almost painfully to bring you out of your trance.
Spencer was your closest friend at the BAU, you told him everything, from a book you read, to some interesting fact you had found out. You knew about his mum, and even had gone to meet her with him once. But this is something you wanted to keep to yourself, you didnât want pity, or help â you just wanted to get over how you were feeling. Admittedly, you had hoped there was something more between you and him, but he never acted, so you assumed it was just platonic for him.
âOh, yeah.â You nodded before standing up and leaving the room hastily, you didnât want Reid to know why you were acting so weird. He was a genius; heâd figure it out somehow.
*****
You wrapped your jacket tighter around your body as the chills set into your bones. For some ungodly reason, the air-conditioning on the plane was always colder than necessary, and you always needed a jacket for the ride. Jokingly, your sister used to call you lizard, because of the fact that you were always cold, no matter the temperature outside.
âSo, anybody got any ideas?â Hotch asked as you sat around the plane, everyone moving closer to discuss the case. You zoned out of the conversation; your eyes warily trained on the closed file in before you.
âY/L/N go visit the last crime scene.â You zoned back into the conversation, focusing on Hotch who was sitting across from you. âThe families of those victims are on their way, so weâll touch base with them when they arrive.â Hotch assigned your roles, leaving you to continue looking over the cases on your way to the location.
*****
âMr. Morrison was killed over here, coroner put his death at before Miss. Turnerâs, who was killed in the bedroom.â You followed the officer into the bedroom, unconsciously taking notes of both the victimâs lives and their deaths.
âWere there any signs of sexual assault on the female?â You questioned, averting your eyes from the large blood stain on the bed.
âNot from what we could tell, although it seems like the killer may have positioned the body postmortem.â Around the room there were several photos of the seemingly happy couple, as well as some of their respective families. Walking over to the nightstand you noticed the slightly open bottom drawer.
âHas this been searched?â You questioned, pointing towards the open drawer before you. Â
âNo.â Usually you refrained from looking into oneâs personal lives so much, but you needed to find any link you could between the victims.
Bending down, you opened the bottom drawer. Inside the drawer were a pile of magazines and catalogues, all about weddings and relationships. On top, was a black velvet box with a small silver leaf imprinted on it. Opening it, you saw that it was empty, the engagement ring missing from the box.
âWas she found with an engagement ring?â You questioned, examining the back of the box. Â
âNo, she wasnât.â You showed the empty box to the officer, who eyed it curiously.
âSo, whereâs the ring?â
*****
Cold water dripped down your face, chilling your skin as you leaned against the basin, your elbows resting on the counter. The cold-water working miracles to awaken your mind again, shocking you into a state of semi-consciousness. Sucking in a deep breath, you splashed your face with more cold water again before looking up at your reflection in the mirror. You looked beyond exhausted, sunken, dark purple eyebags, pale skin, slightly sunken in skin. It was a wonder you hadnât passed out from exhaustion entirely.
The door to the bathroom opened, Emily stepping into the small space. She quickly noticed you, and your distressed appearance. You watched as she cautiously stepped towards you, her hand extended out slightly.
âY/N?â She asked, her hand resting gently on your shoulder. âAre you okay?â You held your composure as you dried your face, forcing your lips into a gentle smile.
âYeah, just been a rough day. This case isnât easy,â you lied. Profiling made lying come easy to you, you could lie through your teeth about almost anything now.
âBullshit. Something is wrong, the whole team can tell. Youâve been hurting for weeks. You obviously havenât been sleeping, and youâre distracted almost all of the time. Weâre worried about you,â tears pricked at your eyes as Emily spoke, her words hitting deep into your heart. âWhatever it is, you can tell me.â She assured, her hand gently rubbing your back in circular motions.
âMy sister-â you choked, the ball in your throat hardening, âshe was killed in a car accident. Drunk driver.â Emily let out a painful sigh, her arms pulling you into a tight hug. âIt happened about 2 weeks ago; I havenât been able to sleep since.â You admitted, the words coming out of your mouth before you could stop them.
âY/N, why didnât you tell us?â She questioned, tears pricking at her eyes as well.
âBecause I need to deal with it on my own. I canât take time off, the team needs me, victims need me. But Iâm getting better,â you forced a smile to try and convince her of your words.
âYou need time to heal Y/N. We can find a way to manage without you. Youâre all alone in this arenât you?â Reluctantly, you nodded your head, a tear slipping down your cheek. âIâm sorry,â she apologised. âTaking some time off might help you though. Itâs easy to tell that youâre exhausted and not working at your best. Nobody will blame you; we just want whatâs best for you.â She reminded, her words full of warmth and heart.
âThank you,â your voice was quiet, but she smiled, nonetheless.
âWeâre here for you.â
*****
The door to Hotchâs office swung in, Hotch stood on the other side of the doorway, a grim expression on his face.
âY/N, come on in.â You nodded, following him into the large office that you had only seen a few times. âWhatâs the meaning of this meeting?â He questioned, his eyes not averting from yours.
âI-Iâd like to request some time off sir. My sister passed away a few weeks ago, and I thought I could handle it and work. But I havenât been able to,â you admitted, hanging your head in shame. Anyone else on the team could have handled grieving and work, or at least separated the two from one another. You couldnât, everywhere you went, your sister was there. Everything you did, she was there.
âWhy didnât you tell us Y/N?â Hotchâs body relaxed, a sad expression washing over his face.
âI didnât feel like you guys needed to know.â You admitted shamefully, regret laced into your words.
âWeâre your team Y/N, you should have told us.â He chastised; his voice thick with sadness.
âI know sir, Iâm sorry I didnât.â You paused in silence for a minute, the air thick as you thought of your actions. âCan I take a few weeks off sir? I promise it wonât be long, I just need some time to grieve and sort through things,â you assured, your eyes pleading.
âOf course, Y/N, take however long you need.â He reached for a piece of paper, handing it to you. âJust fill this out and send it back to me in a few days. Iâll sort out the rest.â Grateful, you took the piece of paper out of his hand, holding it gently in your own.
âThank you, sir, see you when I come back.â You appreciated, shaking his hand briefly before walking out of the office.
The bullpen was now empty, everyone having already left to go home for a few days after the long case. You had successfully caught the killer, right before he killed another couple. Turns out he had been hunting couples looking to get engaged, because his ex-girlfriend had turned down his proposal.
The team had agreed to go out for drinks after the case, to celebrate yet another win. You had opted out of going to the bar, instead lying that you had some things you wanted to do. It wasnât a complete lie. But thankfully, the boys had believed it. JJ and Garcia were a bit more suspicious. Emily just watched you warily, already knowing what you were going to do when you got home.
Since you had told her of your sister, she was more than understanding of your actions. And even helped you out by bringing you coffee and checking in on you. She was one of your closest friends, and you were ever grateful for her.
Grabbing your bag, you packed away some important stuff from your desk before looking around the empty bullpen â it was your home away from home. Letting out a small sigh, you hitched your bag over your shoulder before walking out of the bullpen, aware of Hotch watching you walk towards the elevators.
*****
~3RD PERSON POV~
âHey, has anyone heard from Y/N lately?â Derek question as he walked into the break area, everyone was spread around the small area, chatting between themselves. Emily stayed quiet, glancing at Hotch who was now paying attention to current issue. The team had a right to know at least something for your sudden disappearance.
âSome things happened recently, and Y/N needed to take some time off to deal with them.â Emily spoke up, being careful not to release any telling information. Knowingly, Hotch glanced at her, he didnât know that Emily knew, but now it made sense since Y/N wouldnât have gone to him without being pushed.
âShe was pretty out of it for the past few weeks,â JJ pointed out. The team had picked up on your behaviour and knew something was wrong from the day after her death, when you walked in late with bloodshot eyes.
âTeam, Y/N took some time off for personal reasons. I canât go much into it, but a family member passed away and she was struggling with the situation. She requested some time off to deal. I know it hasnât been easy for her lately, so please, can we stop speculating and give her privacy.â Hotch requested, putting his coffee mug back down on the bench. Spencer glanced up at him, his eyes full of concern as he profiled his supervisor.
âExcuse me,â he muttered, standing up and grabbing his coffee. He hurried back to his desk, quickly sitting down, and sending you a hasty text.
S: Are you okay?
He waited for what seemed like forever for your response. It was only a few minutes before his phone dinged with a response.
You: So, you found out?
He ignored the pain of your harsh response as he quickly typed a response.
S: Why didnât you tell me?
You: I didnât feel the need to. I didnât want anyone to find out. Emily convinced me to tell Hotch after she cornered me on the last case.
S: I thought we were close though?
You: Spencer, we are close. But this is something I wanted to deal with on my own.
He sensed your hesitation in the text, the lie that you blatantly told. Spencer knew you better than anyone, he could read you like a book. You couldnât get anything past him.
S: Do you want me to come over?
He watched carefully as the three dots appeared and disappeared a few times. Letting out a groan, he put his phone down, he knew you needed someone to help, to talk to. But he couldnât help but feel stupid for asking. Obviously, you didnât want him around, or you would have told him earlier.
You: Please
With that simple word, he jumped up and practically ran over to the break area. His pleading eyes looked at Hotch, and before he could even open his mouth, Hotch spoke.
âGo,â Hotch acquiesced. He knew that you needed someone, and Spencer was the someone you needed.
