Wait was the jugdral stuff in the same world as awakening???
Technically yes! There's actually a fair bit of overlap between the first few games in the series, to the point where Archanea, Jugdral, and Valentia are canonically part of the same world. The biggest link between them is actually Naga herself: she's a key figure in the lore of Archanea and Valentia as the source of the Falchion blades, and in Jugdral she joined with eleven other dragons to offer a blood pact and a holy weapon to mankind in order to oppose the Loptyrian Empire. So knowing that they're all in the same world, and Awakening directly ties itself to Shadow Dragon with the provenance of Falchion as Marth's blade and the presence of Tiki as a recruitable character, Awakening effectively takes place ~3,000 years after the events of Genealogy.

Jugdral's dragon gods
I forgot to post my Jugdral dragons headcanons theory here!
I know that I usually make posts related to Three Houses, but I'm also a huge nerd when it comes to Jugdral's dragons. So here's a little theory post as we wait for the inevitable FE4 Remake!
Let's unpack!
What the dragon doing?
It's common knowledge that the gods who descended upon Darna were actually dragons. You hear it from Lewyn(?) near the end of the game. Tiki also tells us the same in FEH:
""Naga, god of light, appears as a young girl, and Salamander, god of fire, takes the form of an old man...," Hehe, they certainly sound familiar."
This got me thinking. What are the names of the other dragons? What type of dragons are they? What did they appear as in front of the crusaders?
Tribes
Let's first look at the information we have. What dragon tribes are there in the Archanea/Jugdral world?
Divine (nearly extinct)
Fire
Ice
Flying (wyvern)
Mage
Earth (only Medeus left)
Sea
Theory time
Okay, with all of that information and my crazy imagination, I have come up with a theory! You'll be able to tell that I'm slowly getting more and more clueless as time goes on.
Here we go!
Holy weapon - Crusader - Dragon - Tribe - Disguise
Book of Naga - Heim - Naga - Divine Dragon - Young girl (Tiki)
Valflame - Fjalar - Salamander - Fire Dragon - Elderly man (Bantu)
Book of Forseti - Ced - Forseti - Divine Dragon - Young man (Xane)
Mjölnir - Thrud - Thor - Mage- or Divine Dragon - Wise sage (Gotoh)
Tyrfing - Baldr - Tyr - Divine Dragon - Knight (who the fuck)
Mystletainn - Hoðr - Basilisk - Mage Dragon - Knight (Camus)
Balmung - Od - Odin - Divine Dragon - Swordsman (Navarre)
Gáe Bolg - Njörun - Ethnia - Earth- or Divine Dragon - Knight (Minerva)
Gungnir - Dáinn - Odin.. 2? - Divine Dragon - Knight (Michalis)
Yewfelle - Ullr - Sif or Eyvel - Divine Dragon - Archer (Jeorge)
Helswath - Nál? - Divine Dragon - ???
Valkyrie Staff - Bragi - Valkyrie - Divine Dragon - Old man (Wrys)
Book of Naga
Self-explanatory. She appears as a young girl and is supposed to represent Tiki.
Valflame
I believe Salamander to be a Fire Dragon simply because he's supposed to the Bantu to Naga's Tiki. And his weapon is a powerful fire spell.
There is a deleted line in one of Marth's older games where a fire dragon says something about sacrificing the cast to Salamander. It makes me think that Salamander is the ruler of the Fire Dragons, like how Naga is the ruler of the Divine Dragons.
Book of Forseti
This is where it gets a little rough. I want to call Forseti a Wind Dragon, but we don't know of any Wind Tribe in Archanea. Flying Dragon also doesn't work because those are wyverns and wyverns aren't exactly sentient anymore.
The thing that makes sense to me would be a Divine Dragon. I've also seen a theory of him being an Ice Dragon. Have you heard of the theory saying that Forseti is Tiki's father? Something about him possibly being an Ice Dragon and young Tiki having ice breath instead of flame breath.
I believe that Forseti appeared as a young man, more specifically, Xane. Think about it. Naga is supposed to be Tiki and Salamander is supposed to be Bantu. Forseti appearing as another one of the four divine dragons seems fitting. It's another reason why I think Divine Dragon would fit him best in that scenario.
Now, I'm not trying to say that Forseti IS Xane. He's clearly not. Archanea also happens about a thousand years after Jugdral's events. I just think it would be a fun easter egg to try and tie each disguise to at least one Archanean character.
Mjölnir
Thor being the name of the dragon who made mjölnir seems quite obvious. You might say that FEH already stole that name, but their god of war is actually called Thorr. TOTALLY different!
I'm a little torn on what tribe they might belong to. Mage dragon? Possible. That tome is all about magic, and there is nothing saying that Divine Dragons are fantastic at thunder magic. Besides, Divine Dragons are supposed to be nearly extinct. A bunch of them popping up at Darna would be kinda going against that, no?
What about the disguise? Thor probably appeared as a wise sage, like Gotoh, to complete the rest of the tome dragon disguises. Gotoh is a Divine Dragon, so maybe Thor is also a Divine Dragon?
I don't know!
Tyrfing
Tyrfing. Finger of Tyr, the god of war, in Norse mythology. It's kind of clear when you look at it that way.
Baldr and Tyrfing are associated with light, much like Naga is, so I believe that Tyr was a Divine Dragon.
Why do I say they appeared as a knight? Look at this art made by Suzuki Rika:
Tumblr media
You got Naga as a young girl and Salamander as the old guy in robes- Wait, hol' up a second
Tumblr media
WHO IS YOU?
That's like.. a roman helmet or something. Yeah, I think that's supposed to be Tyr in disguise.
What do you mean it's not official art?
Mystletainn
Did you know that the Mage Dragon tribe is most likely called Basilisk? It wouldn't be a huge stretch so say that their ruler shares a name with the tribe.
"Kee hee hee… So, Marth! You've come crawling back to your homeland… just to die! I am Lord Medeus's most formidable servant… Morzas of Basilisk!"
Disguise is.. uhh.. I don't know. I don't know of any Dark Knight from Archanea. Maybe Camus? He's technically a villain.
Actually, Camus would work quite well. Eldigan's whole thing is that he pulls a Camus.
Balmung
I'll be honest. I just thought that it would be funny if Odin gave Od a weapon.
Divine Dragon, because the family's special skill is Astra. Astra is associated with the stars and heavens, something that fits best for a Divine Dragon.
Disguise is Navarre because he's also an edgy swordsman!
Gáe Bolg
Leif says that the Earth Goddess of Thracia is called Ethnia. Gáe Bolg is the Earth Lance.
Why am I not so sure if Ethnia is an Earth Dragon or Divine Dragon? Simple. The Earth Dragons are supposed to be all but wiped out, with Medeus being the only one who is still alive. It would work so well if Ethnia was an Earth Dragon, what with all the titles and such, but the lore just doesn't want to agree. I'm not sure which one she is, so.. pick one.
Minerva is the disguise. Why? I don't know. I can't think of anyone else.
Gungnir
...Gungnir is Odin's spear in Norse Mythology. Ah, fuck.
"Gungnir and Gáe Bolg were probably made by Duma and Mila-" NO! They were banished long before the events of Jugdral. Naga isn't gonna hop back over there and be like "I know I banished you guys and gave you my fang to kill yourself, but mind coming back to help out?"
...Ignoring the possible name. Gungnir is the heavenly lance, which would put it right in place with the Divine Dragon tribe. This is also part of the reason why I think it would make sense if Ethnia was an Earth Dragon. Heaven and Earth. Divine and Earth.
What about the disguise? If Ethnia disguised herself as Minerva, then it only makes sense that Gungnir would disguise himself as Michalis! Sibling lances and all that, you know?
Yewfelle
Sif is a norse goddess who is the mother of Ullr. She is also known for her glorious golden locks. Interesting that Yewfelle is made out of 24-karat gold, and that the Ullr line have luscious golden hair. Foolproof evidence right there.
There is also the theory of her name being Eyvel. We know that Brigid was saved by her patron dragon. Maybe Brigid lost all of her memories except the name of the dragon who saved her? Questions... questions...
Tribe? Most likely Divine.
With how I'm trying to assign each disguise to a random Archanean character, let's put Sif/Eyvel with... Jeorge.
Helswath
...I don't have a name for this dragon.
BUT! Helswath is actually called "Swanchika" in Japanese, which sounds a lot like "Swastika". The swastika in Hinduism and Buddhism is actually seen as a symbol for fortune and divinity. I guess a holy symbol would work with the Divine Dragons?
I am aware of what the swastika was also used for, but I don't think that's what Kaga had in mind. At least, I hope he didn't.
I believe that their disguise was the lady of the lake who gave Lex the brave axe. Lex does call her a goddess in FEH. Then again, you'd think Lex would recognize the god of his house. Maybe they appeared as someone else at Darna... like... Barst!
I know, it's not very convincing, but it will have to do.
Valkyrie Staff
I remember reading a novel where the dragon who created the Valkyrie Staff was called... Valkyrie. And they also appeared as an old man. Who does that remind you of? That's right! WRRYYYYSSS!
Now, this novel isn't official or anything, but I think it's funny, so I'm rolling with it. Oh, and Divine Dragon would fit them best with the whole reviving people and light stuff.
And now we wait...
...for the FE4 Remake to confirm/debunk this theory or just not answer anything about the dragons! Let's fucking goooooo!!

The Truth about Fodlan
This is certainly something a lot of people have discussed and looked into. Ever since the release of Three Houses as well as the Cindered Shadows DLC, people have been looking over ever detail they can find to figure out how Three Houses fits into Fire Emblem as a whole. Some believe it’s simply a different world, some believe it isn’t and there has been debates about everything for a while. Today, I would like to bring up some information that possibly clears up the confusion around Three Houses.
To start off, let me simply lay out the premise now. What if Fodlan is Jugdral 3000 years after the events of Genealogy and Thracia? I know that sounds crazy but think about it. In Awakening, a game that was suppose to be the last game in the series and give us one last look at the world that started it all long after Marth had passed, there is barely any mention of Jugdral. We travel all over Archanea, now called Ylisse, and go to Valentia, now called Valm, but we never see anything Jugdral related. The only time we ever see such a thing is during Chapter 22. The chapter where we face Risen Deadlords and some of them are wielding Holy Weapons: specifically, we see Valflame, Gungnir, Helswrath, Balmung, Yewfelle. Now whether the Risen Deadlords are the actual Dead Lords used in Genealogy and converted to Risens or simply a new take on the Dead lords of old is up to debate. The question here is, how did the Grimleal get their hands on 5 Holy Weapons from Jugdral when we have no mention of them throughout the game.
To this, I ask another question: how come the Three Archanea Regalias and Hauteclere are absent from Awakening yet rusted versions of them can be found in Three Houses? These weapons never have appeared outside the Archanea games (the sole exception being SoV but the fact they have to be forged makes their canonicity dubious at best) yet we can end up finding them by battling special monsters and forging the rusted weapon they drop. What’s even more confusing is how the in game description for Hauteclere reads “An Empire Wyvern Corps Axe, wielded in the War of Heroes, that has a high hit rate and might.” These weapons were used during events of the games. Mercius was used during the War of the Eagle and Lion and Gradivus was used by a defender of Fodlan’s throat. Parthia lacks a sort of description but 3 of the 4 having such descriptions means these weapons were used throughout Fodlan’s history. But that begs the question of how these weapons ended up in Fodlan? One would guess that, since they could be forged in SoV (something I don’t consider cannon) that it means they were forged in Fodlan and yet we have no one that takes credit for them. They aren’t considered Sacred Weapons forged by Maculi, They aren’t Heroes Relics made by TWSITD. They are not stated to have been made by the only other legendary Blacksmith, Zoltan. Meaning these weapons have to be the orignal Regalias and Hauteclere.
With this we now have two questions from both Awakening and Three Houses. How did 5 of the Holy Weapons end up in Archanea and How did the 3 Regalias and Hauteclere end up on Fodlan? First off look at 4 of the Holy Weapons given: Balmung (a Sword), Gungnir (A Lance), Helswrath (A Axe), Yewfelle (A Bow). Then you have Mercurius (A Sword), Gradivus (A Lance), Hauteclere (A Axe), and Parthia (a Bow). Here’s my idea. During the War of Heroes, TWSITD likely wanted to give an edge to Nemesis and his army in the form of more powerful weapons. This lead to them getting into contact with the Grimleal in the early days after Grima’s first defeat. The Grimleal, likely aware of Jugdral’s amass of Holy Weapons, offered a trade. The 3 Regalias and Hauteclere for 4 Holy Weapons. Given that TWSITD likely did not know or simply could not make use of the full power of the Holy Weapons agree and threw in Valflame as a sign of good faith as well as an item they likely would not need, seeing as all of Fodlan operate on non-tome magic. Of course, the description for Hauteclere shows that the shipment carrying the Regalias and Hauteclere did not make it to TWSITD and said weapons ended up in the hands of the Empire. While some would say TWSITD wouldn’t be dumb enough to give away Holy Weapons, remember these are people who were arrogant enough to try and fight Sothis. From their perspective, they would simply see a group of people offering really powerful weapons with no real requirements and asking for weapons that nobody can make full use of in exchange. Then there is the questionability of TWSITD even having Holy Weapons and to that I say this: The Heroes’ Relic and the Holy Weapons act in such a similar manner that it’s very likely TWSITD found the Holy Weapons, found out what they were and how they worked and figured out they could replicate them if they took the remains of Nabateans and crafted them into weapons. Once they figured out how to do this, the Holy Weapons were just taking up space.
Now that’s only the first piece of evidence but it’s certainly the biggest and one that took time to explain. These next ones will be much simpler and quick.
The second piece of evidence for this theory is the maps of Fodlan and Jugdral. When you compare both maps, they are very similar in shape. Given that we have examples of continents ending up with different names and changing over time, Archanea being Ylisse and Valentia becoming Valm. Given how Jugdral would have an additional 1000 years to change comapared to Valentia and Archanea, it’s possible that Fodlan is Jugdral after that long of a period. The only other thing of note here is how Thracia and Almyra play similar roles for Jugdral and Fodlan. Thracia tries to invade and conquer the Munster District while Almyra tries to invade the Alliance. The difference being Thracia does it due to lack of food while Almyra does so as a show of strength. Not as strong of evidence as the first example but it was still worth mentioning.
The final example is how the Nabateans were created. We know they were created by Sothis via her blood. Now, the first question would be why Sothis did it this way. If this was any world, why not simply have kids the traditional way as we’ve seen with almost all dragons in FE outside a few notable exceptions (Grima and Lilith being such exceptions). Well, playing devils advocate and saying Fodlan is within the world of Archanea, then people would quickly remember a certain issue that plagued dragons alongside the degeneration: their loss in fertility. These two factors are what lead to dragons becoming Manakete and stepping to the side to allow humanity to become the leading race in the world. Given how many crests there is in the game, there simply no plausible way for Sothis to have so many kids and possible descendants unless she went the blood route. Not to mention this explains why none of them are Divine Dragons like Sothis. (Yes the whole debate of if Sothis was a Divine Dragon or not is a thing but given how we’ve seen how dragons like Mila and Naga can not only control the passage of time but repair the lands as Sothis did after the war with TWSITD, it’s more or less pretty open and shut case Sothis is a Divine Dragon).
Now as for how she discovered the whole creating dragons through blood method, there is only one known instant of a dragon being created this way before Sothis: Forneus. What’s even a odder coincidence is how Sitri, Byleth, and Forneus’ names are names of demons in the Ars Goetia. Sitri and Byleth being connected via this piece of trivia makes sense. Forenus, on the other hand, a person who only just got named during SoV’s post game, is something to think about. Regardless, Sothis had to have found out or find something that would give her the idea of creating the Nabateans via her blood somehow and Grima and his creation is a very strong possibility.
Now some might bring up how they’re called Nabateans and not Manaketes or how the Crest Stones are something we’ve never seen before. To answer the Nabatean and Manakete thing, Manaketes are usually referred to as dragons who sealed their draconic powers into dragon stones. The name is likely just to avoid confusion. Ultimately, it’s a name. The core that makes Nabateans the same as dragons is the method of which they transform. We’ve seen how crest stones are integral to this, given what happens to Miklan and other characters that use the crest stones and end up as demonic beasts. We know that the crest stones are quite literally the heart of these dragons. What did dragons do to become Manaketes? They sealed their dragon forms in stones and took a human like form. This is the detail many have missed. Nabateans are not just a different race of dragons. They’re how dragons used to be before they were forced to take on the forms of Manaketes. The entire reason we’ve never seen these crest stones is due to the fact that, in Valentia/Valm and Archanea/Ylisse, dragons have either become Manaketes or they were well respected as to not have their bodies scavenged and turned into weapons.
There are plenty more details I could bring up like Anna’s existing in Genealogy and Thracia, explaining the Anna we see in Three Houses and why she has a crest, and more, I think I’ve made enough points here. Maybe there are details proving this is wrong or something but this post was mostly to bring up a possible idea I don’t think I’ve seen people really touch upon in regards to Three Houses.

Chapter 1: The Battle of Behalla
In this world, there are many endings that are endings in appearance only, and actually the beginning of another story.
The Battle of Belhalla, which occurred in early spring of the Grann Year 760, was one such ending.
The Grannvalian Empire's records only described a simple account: the Grannvalian King's son-in-law, House Velthomer's Duke Arvis, who would afterwards become the first emperor of the Grannvalian Empire; defeated the liberation army at Belhalla Field, killed the ringleader, Prince Sigurd of House Chalphy; and squashed the rebellion.
Compared to the accounts left describing Arvis’ magnificent victories during the subsequent battles that unified the lands, it was really quite short, and when those who didn’t know the details read it, they thought the rebellion that Sigurd started was not that big of an event in the slightest.
But what really happened?
The records list no other casualties than Prince Sigurd. However, at the Battle of Belhalla, and in the chain of battles, schemes, and other events leading up to it; the powerful leaders across the continent were divided into enemy and ally, bringing many of them to their deaths.
Even more surprising, was that among the deceased were descendants of the Twelve Crusaders of legend, including many of those who'd inherited legendary weapons:
Prince Kurth of The Kingdom of Grannvale, inheritor to The Book of Naga
Duke Byron and Prince Sigurd of House Chalphy, both inheritors to the Holy Sword, Tyrfing
King Eldigan of The Kingdom of Nordion, inheritor to the Demon Sword, Mystletainn
Prince Quan of The Kingdom of Leonster, inheritor to the Earth Lance, Gáe Bolg
Princess Brigid of House Jungby, inheritor to the Holy Bow, Yewfelle
Duke Lombard of House Dozel, inheritor to the Holy Axe, Helswath
Duke Reptor of House Freige, inheritor to the Holy Thunder Tome, Mjölnir
High Priest Claud of House Edda, inheritor to the Holy Staff, Valkyrie
Prince Lewyn of The Kingdom of Silesse, inheritor to the Holy Wind Tome, Forseti
and King Mananan of The Kingdom of Isaach, inheritor to the Divine Blade, Balmung.
The only two survivors were Duke Arvis of House Velthomer, inheritor to the Holy Fire Tome, Valflame; and King Travant of the Kingdom of Thracia, inheritor to the Heavens Lance, Gungnir.
For so many of the Crusaders to meet death… it was only common sense that something unthinkable had happened, leading people to create all sorts of rumors.
One such rumor was that countless fireballs fell from the heavens during The Battle of Belhalla.
"If that isn’t what happened, then how else could so many of the Crusaders have died?" The person who started the rumor wondered.
But those rumors simply explained all that had transpired, and didn't shed light on any of the evil plots being carried out in the background.
Because if even Duke Arvis, as a major character of those stories being kept secret from the world, did not notice that The Battle of Belhalla was nothing more than the end of a prologue, it was only natural that the people who started those (laughably exaggerated) rumors did not realize it, either.
With all of the rebellious uprisings stamped out, Arvis traveled to the surrounding countries of Silesse, located to the north; and Leonster, located to the east; and subjugated them. They no longer had proper leaders, so conquering them was easier than taking candy from a baby. With those final acts, the Kingdom of Grannvale succeeded in obtaining hegemony of the entire Judgralian continent.
King Azmur of Grannvale was on death's door, leading Arvis to immediately become the first emperor of the Grannvalian Empire, as if it had already been decided.
No one objected to his ascension. In fact, everyone overwhelmingly supported it. Arvis’ popularity among the commoners was particularly unusual, but it was because they had long wished for a strong, intelligent leader.
As they did not know the true meaning of the Battle of Belhalla, they could not view Arvis, who'd suppressed the rebellion, as anyone but the rightful king.
Arvis was a very ambitious man, who had long wished to unify the continent and become the first emperor of Grannvale. And upon fulfilling that wish, he moved on to a new ambition - etching his name into history as an extraordinarily benevolent ruler.
Arvis established laws guaranteeing the commoners their rights, while making the nobles unable to do whatever selfish things they wished with their territories.
The Loptr Church, previously oppressed as a cult, had contributed greatly to Arvis' victory. Arvis, in truth, had not only the blood of a Crusader flowing through his veins, but also that of the Loptr Church's founder, Archbishop Gale. For that reason, the church secretly supported him. For their efforts, once Arvis gained the authority to do so, he publicly recognized them for the first time in 220 years.
However, he did not allow them anything more than that, nor did he give their current leader, Archbishop Manfroy, a say in the government.
In the beginning of his reign, Arvis was an ideal leader for the people.
-
And so, seventeen years passed.
The Battle of Belhalla became just like any other historical event, and the story appeared to be over.
However, it was still being written in silence.
Fine Grannvalian wines rest within a barrel for ten long years, slowly maturing. This story is like one of those fine wines. It continued to mature, simply evading the eyes of the people during those ten long years.
The first sign was that the Loptr Church slowly began to influence our story. In the Miletos region, the church revived the rituals sacrificing children to the Dark God Loptous, once carried out during the Loptrian Empire. This was in spite of Emperor Arvis strongly prohibiting them...
Next, the kings of the remote regions slowly began to ignore the laws Arvis had established. Having observed the Loptr Church’s behavior, they thought the emperor had lost his authority.
The kings levied high taxes on the commoners and punished them without trial, all while indulging in hedonistic lifestyles.
This marked the beginning of the end for our story. However, neither the commoners (nor the kings) realized that yet. The commoners simply blamed the kings and Loptr Church as the cause for their hardships, and hoped for a savior that would change it all.
Then, their previous opinions of the rebel Sigurd changed.
His image was originally that of a man who always stood as the leader of his army on the front line, bathing his entire body in the blood of his enemies. He was known as "Blood-Soaked Sigurd," the terrifying rebel. However, at some point, he became "Sigurd, the man who knows no fear," and the epitome of bravery. The new stories passed around were those of his kindness.
They told many examples of the times in-between battle when he'd shown endless compassion towards his subordinates and the people, representing everything they wanted from their new savior.
"That’s right! Sigurd is a man who stood up for the people, and is the true hero!" They thought.
At the same time, a rumor circulated that Sigurd had a son named Seliph, who was growing into a fine young man.
"Where is he?"
"In a hidden village in a remote region of Isaach!"
"He is the one who will save us! I know it!"
"Let's gather everyone who can fight, and go to Isaach to join his army!"
"I heard that Lord Seliph's army already chased the imperial army out of Isaach!"
"Then let's start our own rebellion! If we do, I bet they'll come help us!"
The rumors were indeed just rumors, and reality was quite different.
It was true that Sigurd's son Seliph was living in a small Isaachian town called Tirnanog, and was learning how to fight in preparation for the day he knew would come. However, he viewed it as a day that was still very far off (though he knew it would come). It was also more accurate to say that he still wasn't prepared for a rebellion yet at all.
He had two teachers, one who taught him tactics, and another who taught him swordsmanship.
His tactics teacher was Oifey, who was both a knight and a tactician.
The members of Oifey's family had served each generation of House Chalphy as their tacticians. He was still only fourteen when Sigurd’s battles began, but insisted Sigurd allow him to come along, and Sigurd agreed (under the condition that he not step foot on the battlefield). He'd been confident that his studies would undoubtedly be helpful to Sigurd.
Seliph’s other teacher was Prince Shannan of Isaach. Shannan was a descendant of Sword Saint Od, one of the Twelve Crusaders, and was the next in line to inherit the Divine Blade Balmung.
Tumblr media
Isaach had fallen when Grannvale invaded during Shannan's childhood, and Balmung had been lost at that time. Afterwards, his young aunt, Ayra, guided him through a series of unfortunate events, leading them to be captured in The Kingdom of Verdane, then saved by Sigurd.
Before The Battle of Belhalla, Sigurd had entrusted Seliph to Oifey, and ordered him, along with Shannan, to leave the battlefield. While traveling, Oifey and Shannan learned of Sigurd's loss at Belhalla, and after they rediscussed their plans, they changed their destination to Isaach. Ever since then, the three of them had been avoiding the Empire's search parties, leading them to settle in Tirnanog, located near the northern tip of Isaach.
Sigurd suspected that he might die, and chose arguably the best teachers in the world for his son.
They were both prodigies and had a strong sense of duty.
They believed that the only way to repay their gratitude to Sigurd, and clear Sigurd’s regrets, was to raise Seliph to become a warrior fit to be called a descendant of Crusader Baldur. The Holy Weapons could not be used by all of the people of the Crusader’s bloodlines, but only by one person in each generation. Whether or not a person was the chosen one and could wield their bloodline’s Holy Weapon, was sometimes recognized at birth, but sometimes unknown until the moment they first touched it. The moment they did so, they would feel warmth course through their entire body, and be filled with a mysterious power. After that, they could display the power of their Holy Weapon, a great power that should be feared.
House Chalphy's Holy Weapon, the Holy Sword Tyrfing, was currently lost (it had likely fallen into the hands of Emperor Arvis). Still, both Shannan and Oifey agreed that they should prepare a powerful enough army to take the sword back.
Seliph had inherited his bright blue hair from his father, but recently, his expressions, gestures, and manner of speaking were also all shockingly similar to Sigurd's.
And his swordplay was improving at an incredible rate.
"Seliph, there's no question that you are the inheritor to Tyrfing." Both Shannan and Oifey had said this to him countless times now.
In addition to those two, though he wasn't exactly a teacher, another man occasionally visited Tirnanog, and kept Seliph updated on current events.
His name was Lewyn. He was a descendant of the Crusader Wind Mage Ced, Prince of Silesse, and inheritor to the Holy Wind Tome Forseti.
Lewyn had fought alongside Sigurd and participated in The Battle of Belhalla, so they'd long thought that he'd met the same fate as his other allies on that day.  However, roughly two years prior, he'd shown up at their house without any warning whatsoever..
He wore the same bard's clothing he'd had since long ago. His expression, specifically the shape of his forehead and eyebrows, looked a bit more prudent, but otherwise, he wasn't any different from the Lewyn Shannan and Oifey remembered.
Once they'd introduced themselves to each other, Seliph begged Lewyn to tell him stories of his father. Lewyn stared off into space, likely picturing his bygone days with Sigurd in his head, then started to speak.
"He always fought like a demon, and led the charge, striking fear in the hearts of his enemies while simultaneously inspiring his allies.
“However, that didn't mean he liked fighting. He was always considering whether or not he could solve things without fighting. Anyone who was beside him, knew very well about those worries.
“On the other hand, once he'd made the decision to fight, he always led his army and charged straight into the enemy lines. He would make the enemies’ blades swing towards him. He was trying to push himself to the boundary between life and death, where he couldn’t afford to have worries or doubts, and he was also gathering the enemies around him to try to lessen the injuries his allies suffered, even if only just a little.
“In summary, as I said before, he inspired his allies, struck fear in the hearts of his enemies, and his battles always ended in victory."
"May I ask one thing?" Oifey asked nervously.
“What is it?”
"What happened at The Battle of Belhalla?"
"It was no battle.” Lewyn hissed.
"It wasn't?"
"It was a surprise attack, and a massacre."
They all gasped at Lewyn’s unexpected words.
"After our long fight was finally over, we crossed the Aed Desert, and attacked Grannvale. Our first destination was Velthomer, as we'd received word that Reptor, leading the Friegian Army, was waiting there for us. It was supposed to be a very difficult battle. Instead, by the time we made it to the battlefield, Reptor's army was already in chaos. Arvis' army had attacked them from behind.
“We didn't have any idea what was going on, but we still attacked Reptor's army. After being betrayed by their allies, they didn't last long, and were quickly destroyed.
“Afterwards, General Aida, who had led Arvis' army during that battle, approached Sigurd, and said, ‘Lord Sigurd, you and Duke Byron have been cleared of all accounts of treason. We knew that everything, including Prince Kurth's assassination, was all plotted by Duke Reptor. King Azmur said that he would like to apologize to you for the misunderstanding, and propose a ceasefire, if you and your allies would just come to Belhalla.’
“Anti-war Sigurd happily accepted the proposal. Because they'd watched Arvis' army attack Reptor, the thought didn't even cross his mind that she could be lying. So much so, that he told everyone in his army from other countries that they could return home if they wished.
"Three days later, we reached Belhalla Field. The Grannvalian Army was lined up in front of the castle to greet us.
“‘There's way too many people here.’ I told Sigurd.
“Sigurd nodded, stopped his horse, and turned around to face everyone.
“‘If we move towards the palace in a large unit, then we will invite another misunderstanding. I’ve decided that the army will stay here, and only a limited number of people will accompany me during my audience with the emperor.’
“I immediately realized that Sigurd had misunderstood the meaning of what I'd said. I wasn't referring to the number of our allies, but the number of Grannvalian soldiers. However, I realized later that Sigurd had already known. That’s why he had his unit stay far behind him, so they could quickly escape when the time came.
“And so, just under twenty people proceeded between the two lines of the Grannvalian Army. Among them, Shannan, was your Aunt Ayra. Her beloved, Lex of House Dozel, was with her. And I was there with my beloved. Ayra and Lex walked next to each other, and my beloved and I were looking at each other the entire time. We both knew. We knew it was the last time we'd ever see each other.
“The other couples had known that as well - Princess Lachesis and the free knight Beowulf, Princess Tailtiu and Prince Azel, the dancer Silvia and High Priest Claud, Princess Aideen and Prince Jamke, and Princess Brigid and the archer Midir… they all tried to enjoy the little time they had left, and not spoil it with fears over what was to come.
“At the end of the long lines of soldiers waited not King Azmur, but Arvis.
“Arvis then gave his entire army the order. ‘Capture the traitor Sigurd, and his party! There is no need to take them in alive! Execute them on the spot!’
“The elite of Arvis' army all attacked us at once. The mages stationed on the hills surrounding us also rained down burning meteors on us.
“You probably understand now why I said that the Battle of Belhalla was no battle."
Everything Lewyn had shared was true, however, he'd left out one detail for Seliph's sake.
And that was that King Azmur's granddaughter had shown herself at Arvis' side for a brief moment. She was not only the princess of Grannvale, but also Deirdre, Sigurd's wife and Seliph’s mother, who'd gone missing two years prior. She appeared to have lost all memory of her past for an unknown reason. Otherwise, she never would have betrayed Sigurd. They'd met while Sigurd was fighting in the Kingdom of Verdane, and fallen in love at first sight.
Afterwards, she and Arvis went on to have twins, a boy and a girl. The older one, the boy, was Crown Prince Julius of the Grannvalian Empire, and Seliph's younger brother from a different father.
Though Lewyn had finished his story, no one could speak for a long time.
Finally, Seliph declared, "I cannot forgive Arvis for what he did! I hate fighting, just as my father did. But Arvis is the one person I cannot forgive."
"You've helped me make up my mind too, Seliph. I hate him! He killed my lord! When you raise your army, I intend to dedicate my life to you." Oifey said.
"I can't forgive him, either! He is Lord Sigurd and my aunt's murderer, so I will kill him!" Shannan yelled.
And so, another story began.
The writers of this new story were bathed in a light that shined so brightly, there wasn't a person alive who wouldn't soon learn of them. Meanwhile, the writers of a hidden story were buried deep within darkness, so that no one would learn of them...

{ Fe13 Holy Blood Theory}
{ ooc. Please note that this is in no way insisting that the following theory is absolutely canon-- rather, it's more just lacing together an idea from bits and pieces scattered around fe13 and fe4/5. After all, that's what a theory is-- a proposed idea for something which has no explanation.
Am I going to add any of this to my blog? Probably not, unless people ask me to do it. Put the pitchforks down, okay-
Got it? Great! This is 2303 words long, so I hope you’re ready. }
Fire emblem awakening, throughout the entire game, including its dlc, makes many references to Jugdral, whether it be through a few lines in support conversations, spotpass, lines in dlc maps, deadlords, weapons such as Sigurd's lance, or the inclusion of the holy weapons themselves. In fact, one of the characters, and their children by extension, is almost explicitly stated to be a descendant of one of fe4's protagonists, and the game implies that several holy bloodlines have made it into the continent of Ylisse, albeit these points will surface later. The theory proposed in this post is that Robin from fe13 is, in fact, a descendant of the Fala bloodline--specifically, of Saias/Cyas from fe5. Of course, he wouldn't have major blood-- that would be impossible--, but instead has minor.
The first, and probably most obvious point is that both of these two are noted for their tactical brilliance, which, to some, immediately sparks the idea that the two characters might share some sort of connection, considering that their games fall on the same timeline, unlike fe7's tactician and Soren. Whist it is a slightly weak point, the reason behind mentioning this is that one was regarded as a tactician specifically, and one has an exclusive class  specific to their family line, as seen through how Robin's child(ren) are the only others who can canonically have access to the tactician and grandmaster classes. In fact, it is more than likely that Robin inherited their class from their mother, whom we can assume must have also held a position similar to them at some point, and that the people before them on that side of the family must have also been denoted in the same way, as classes more often than not signify what their occupation is. In the fire emblem universe, there are multiple examples of characters having families who follow the same career path generation after generation-- such as Anna's family, even going so far as to take on the same name, Miriel's mother, Miriel and Laurent all being mages pursuing logical explanations to everyday phenomenons, both Morgan's changing class to mimic the non-avatar parent, the generic 'from a line of powerful mages/mercenaries' description, and Chrom's entire family line from the first Exalt onwards. It could be very likely that part of Robin's family comes from a line of tacticians, and the earliest point on the timeline fe13 takes place which has someone being revered as a brilliant tactician is Saias, whose offspring probably would have been pressured into taking the same career path, as such a practice was common in the time period which fire emblem tends to base itself around loosely.
Not only this, but the skills learned in the tactician and grandmaster classes might also serve as a call-back to fe4/5's leadership stars-- solidarity and rally spectrum. The former grants adjacent units +10 crit and dodge, which closely mimics the 10% bonus to hit and evade every leadership star after the first grants units within three spaces in fe4/ 3% bonus to hit and evade for every leadership star after the first for every ally unit on the map in fe5. It is also worth noting that charm cannot be considered a reference to the leadership stars, as such a skill exists in fe4/5 with the same effects, and the tactician class, in itself, could be a nod to the mage fighter class, of which Velthomer had no shortage of.
For rally spectrum, however, it could be considered yet another call-back to leadership stars, in some round-about way due to how it increases all stats aside from movement in a three-tile radius, however the main reason as to why this skill might show a connection to Saias, and hence the Fala bloodline, is that out of all of the spotpass characters seen in awakening, only one unit has this skill, and possesses it on every map they appear in. That unit is Saias. No other spotpass character has rally spectrum, and both ignis and solidarity do not appear on any of spotpass characters. Other tacticians such as Soren, and non-apotheosis Katarina do not have rally spectrum either. Not only this, but rally spectrum is a skill canonically locked only to Robin and  their child(ren), which might indicate that Robin has some sort of connection, perhaps familial, to Saias, which leads on nicely to the next part.
The next piece of evidence which might indicate some sort of connection between the two characters is that in the dlc maps 'Rouges and Redeemers 1/2/3', male!Robin and Saias have exclusive conversations with one another.  Whilst nothing is said which might act as proof for being related-- the two only trash-talk one another a little, but acknowledge that they are both tacticians--, this is a deliberate move by the game designers, and people such as Chrom, Lucina and Lissa do get conversations with characters they are related to as well, such as Marth, and what might make sense later, Julia, Ethlyn, Seliph and Sigurd. It might also be worth it to note that female!Morgan gets conversations with Julia, who is obviously related to Arvis, and by extension, Saias.
The major question, then, would be how any sort of holy blood made it all the way to the continent of Ylisse in the first place, considering the fact that Jugdral is presumably quite far away. Luckily, there is solid evidence for certain holy bloodline having made it to Ylisse sometime after fe4/5, and the strongest bit of proof comes from Tiki and Male!Robin's B support, and by extension, Chrom, Lissa and Emmeryn even existing. In the conversation, Tiki claims that Chrom does not remind her of Marth, but instead another man from their line from one thousand years ago, around the time that she was born—‘Perhaps because Chrom is not like Marth. He is much more direct, and committed to what he believes is right. Chrom might more resemble a different ancestor, from the age I was born in. Another great man in their line, from 1000 years before Marth...’. Looking at the rough timeline of the series, the most likely candidate for this ancestor would be none other than Sigurd, and this would show that at least one bloodline has made it to Ylisse; the Baldur bloodline.
The next thing which hints to even more of the crusader bloodlines making it to the continent can be seen in fe13' Chapter 22, 'An Ill Presage'. In this chapter of the game, the enemy units, aside from Aversa, is made up of the deadlords, however it is unlikely that they are the same as the ones from fe4/5, but instead are sort of recreation of them. Out of the twelve, five wield holy weapons-- Equus with Gungnir, Tigris with Helswath, Draco with Yewfelle, Simia with Balmung, and Canis with, surprise, Valflame. If we are to believe that these 'deadlords' hold the real things with the seals still in effect, then that right there is not-so-living proof that, aside from Baldur, the Dain, Neir, Ulir, Odo, and Fala bloodlines have also made it into Ylisse.           One could also argue that the Hezul line has also made it into Valm, as Owain states to be looking for Mystletainn in his paralogue. Regardless, this leaves us with potentially seven of these bloodlines having descendants who live in Ylisse and/or Valm, and Fala is one of those whose lineage could theoretically still be present by the time fe13 happens.
So then, for this theory to have the slightest chance of being true, then why is Robin's hair white-- shouldn't it be some shade of red like a majority of those from the Fala bloodline? Not necessarily, and there are two reasons as to why Robin having his default hair colour still works with this theory, and does not debunk it.           The first is probably the most obvious one-- the time between fe4 and fe13 is around four thousand years; the chance of any descendant having the exact same traits as, say, Saias, Aida or Arvis is extremely small. Over that period of time, any later generation might move to different continents, and/or reproduce with someone who does not bear those same traits-- in fact, the trademark red hair could be lost in one generation, much like how we see the complete absence of curly hair in Julius, Julia, and Saias despite Arvis having hair like that, and in the former two cases, Deirdre as well. Let's also keep in mind that straight hair is recessive, and curly hair is dominant-- something which seems to apply to the Jugdral family trees--, so it isn't like this could be a one-off case. Much like that, the offspring of any descendant from a surviving member of the Fala bloodline could express a phenotype different to any specific ancestor.
If that does not appeal to you, however, and you think that assuming something like the aforementioned reason is a little too far-fetched, could be used to link anyone to someone else, or you believe that his hair colour has to come from the family line because game-logic, then there is another one which you can see for yourself. White hair does actually appear in the Fala bloodline, if only because of the fact that she mothered a major-blooded child. Cigyun, Arvis' mother, naturally has white hair. So how does this tie in with anything? By doing basic genetics, it becomes apparent that Arvis is a carrier for white hair, as he would have had to inherit one allele from his mother, and the man is able to produce Julia, who also has white hair. With Aida having the exact same shade of red hair her son has, it is also quite possible that Saias might have inherited the gene coding for white hair as well, and that explains how Robin’s hair colour could come from the Fala bloodline, as Saias might be capable of having a child with white hair, which could then be passed down.
The next piece, whilst being quite minor, is one that might not have any connection to the Fala bloodline, however, as you will be able to see in a moment, it does seem as though it could be. In fe13, Robin eventually learns the skill 'Ignis', however it is not the actual effect of this that raises any questions-- it is the name, its visual appearance, lineage, and the class that it comes from which do. The name is quite basic, literally meaning 'fire', and with every name given to this skill in other languages, the theme of the name is still the same-- 'blossoming flame', 'ignus', 'ignition', and 'Apolo'. These names also reflect the visual aspect of this skill, as, upon activation, the user is engulfed in bright orange fire and a pink glow, and when the attack hits the enemy, a burst of those same orange flames and pink flower petals erupts from the site of contact-- the fire's colour being more easily seen in fe14. The fact that this is a skill exclusive to Robin and any children they have, discounting fe14 as I highly doubt that dlc is canon, shows that this particular skill must be bound to one or both halves of his family tree.
But Isn't it just a skill connected to Grima? No.           If ignis was something tied to Grima, then we would have seen a skill akin to this-- aesthetically or otherwise-- on the 'Creation' in fe15 alongside anathema and dragonskin. Not only this, but you would imagine that this skill would be seen appearing in the fell bloodline, without anything else mixed in, however that is not the case either, as Validar does not possess ignis, and instead has dragonskin. Another thing to point out is that the tactician/grandmaster class is not connected to Validar either-- the cloak is Grimleal, yes, but if he was from that class originally, he would at least have something from the skills learnt in those two. So then, ignis is not connected to the fell bloodline or Grima, but is still bound to Robin's family line. The tactician/grandmaster class is something we can assume came from Robin’s mother, and the skills found in this line are also exclusive to Robin and their child(ren), strengthening the idea that the class is, like ignis, locked to their bloodline.
Another piece which might hint towards some sort of connection between Robin and the Fala bloodline can be found in the Cipher cards, albeit for obvious reasons, this might not mean much due to whether or not these cards are considered 'canon' material or not. Regardless, the cards for both Robins and both Morgans possess a support skill called 'tactician's emblem'. This is something which, aside from Soren, Yukimura and Naesala, only appears again on Julius' and Arvis' cards.           Again, it probably means nothing, but it could still be considered as some sort of 'hint' towards a connection between the characters. Depends on whether or not you consider that a valid source of information.
So, in short, we have Robin-- a tactician, presumably from a long line of them, with white hair, possessing a skill which is locked to their family but not Grima's blood, and utilises fire to boost an attack, another which mimics the effects of leadership stars slightly, and one which only ever appears on one spotpass character, whose bloodline might exist in Ylisse still, whom they have exclusive conversations with, and share the same profession.            There is ample evidence to suggest that the two characters have some sort of connection, and with the emphasis on genetics in both fe4 and fe13, it might be possible that Robin is a descendant of Saias, which would make him part of the Fala bloodline-- a minor carrier, in this case.
          But who knows?

———————————–
Chapter 1 – High Priest Bragi
Part 2
Bragi was taken to a small island north of Augustria, where the the Hidden Maera Sect's base was located. The priests living there raised him.
They noticed how smart, sensitive, and kind he was, so they began to teach him healing magic when he was twelve. He mastered it very quickly, and at twenty, he could cast the most difficult healing spell they had on the island.
In Gran Year 609, liberation armies rose up in every region of Jugdral.
They were not unified under a single leader, nor did they communicate with each other. Galle VII's reign had simply become so oppressive that the people everywhere could no longer endure it.
However, the imperial army moved so quickly that it seemed as if they had predicted the rebellion.
Nearly all of the liberation armies were individually wiped out before they could unite and wage a full-scale war. They fled from the imperial army's pursuit, forcing them to enter the Yied Desert, the most barren of all Jugdral's lands.
Bragi had joined the Augustrian liberation army, and was one of its most valuable members. The harsh battle made his healing abilities stand out all the more.
Augustria’s liberation army was also surrounded by the imperial army and fled, and before they knew it, they too were in the Yied Desert. Bragi was still among their ranks.
However, there were no safe places, even in the desert.
The imperial army had followed them, and was ready to take out their enemies in one final blow. The Battle at Fort Darna had begun, and no matter how hard the liberation armies fought, their numbers were dwindling quickly.
Bragi healed everyone nonstop, yet warriors were dying all around him. ‘We probably won’t stand a chance against their next attack.’ He thought.
Thick clouds hung overhead that were so dark it appeared to be evening, even though it was midday. Saint Heim, who had taken charge and was giving orders to the liberation armies, began to speak to the remaining warriors.
“We’ve fought as hard as we can. We’ve tried to overthrow the empire’s oppressive regime, and exhausted all our options. Still, we must believe, everyone! Our dreams will live on in the hearts of those who come after us. It may be another one hundred years before another rebellion rises up, and they may be defeated just as easily, even if they fight as hard as we have. But all power has its limits! One day, the empire will fall! Believe in this hope, and fight to the very last! Make this battle go down in history!”
Though they were tired, the warriors all nodded in agreement at Heim’s passionate speech.
He faced them and raised his staff into the air.
They raised their weapons and gave a mighty battle cry in return.
Then, a gust of wind blew through the fort. The clouds parted, and a light poured forth from the hole in the sky and into the fort.
Everyone looked up.
The sun blinded them all for a moment, and when they could see again, twelve people they had never seen before were standing in the light. Among them were men and women of all ages, and even children. None of them had been there even a few seconds before.
“Who are you?” Heim asked them.
“We have come to grant you our powers and weapons.” An old man answered.
A young girl walked up to Heim. "My name is Naga. Saint Heim, I will give you my powers and the ability to wield light magic. First, drink my blood." She sliced open her thumb and held it out in front of his face.
He did as she said. He had never seen these people before, nor had they explained who they were, but he and the other warriors could sense that they were beings much more powerful than humans.
“This is the Book of Naga. It contains the power to oppose Loptous. Please take it.” The girl handed the Holy Light Tome over to Heim. The jewel embedded in the cover sparkled in the light.
Next, one of the young men walked up to Ced, offered his blood, and handed him the Holy Wind Tome, Forseti.
The strangers, one-by-one, continued to give their blood and mysterious weapons to the warriors.
Baldr received the Holy Blade, Tyrfing, Od received the Divine Sword, Balmung, Dain received the Heavens Lance, Gungnir, Njörun received the Earth Lance, Gáe Bolg, Ulir received the Holy Bow, Yewfelle, Thrud received the Holy Thunder Tome, Mjölnir, Fjalar received the Holy Fire Tome, Valflame, Hezul received the Demon Sword, Mystletainn, and Neir received the Holy Axe, Helswath.
Finally, an old man walked up to Bragi and said, "Bragi, my name is Valkyrie. This staff controls life and fortune. First, drink my blood."
Bragi sucked the blood from the old man's finger, and felt power and warmth course through his body.
"That should be enough."
He pulled away, and the old man handed him a staff with a white gem set atop it.
"This staff is not for defeating your enemies, but for correcting what should not happen. It can even bring a person back to life, if you believe that they should not have died. However, if you undo an event that has already happened, like death, then the staff might break. Therefore, it is best to correct wrongs that have yet to happen - in other words, it is important to use this staff to guide yourself and others down the right path. If you are unsure of what to do, then pray to the gem. It should show you the truth. Out of all the people we have chosen, you play a very special part, Bragi. You must be the conscience of the Crusaders."
"I understand. I will do as you say." Bragi answered.
The old man stepped back, and the young girl came forward again. "We believe in you, Crusaders. Please fight for the people.”
The twelve warriors - now the Twelve Crusaders - felt their fatigue vanish, and the injured were suddenly healed. They raised their new weapons and cheered once more. The rest of the army joined in the cheer as well, but this time, there wasn't even a hint of hesitation in their voices. To the imperial soldiers surrounding them, it sounded like there was one thousand people in the fort.
Meanwhile, the strangers started to become transparent, and slowly vanished.
The Twelve Crusaders felt like they were dreaming, but the weapons in their hands reassured them that they weren't.
Heim raised the Book of Naga and faced everyone. "Everyone, look at this tome!"
The gem embedded in the cover was still sparkling, and reminded them of the event that had just occurred.
"There's no questioning that we were just visited by gods! They came to save us… No, not just us, but all of the people in this world! There is only one thing we can do now. We must believe in these gods, and fight! We will not wait, but march right out of here and face our enemies! Open the gate!"
The warriors followed his order and marched outside of the fort. The eleven Crusaders with weapons made up the front line, Bragi stood in the middle, and everyone else was in the back.
The leader of the imperial army's first troop saw them and laughed.
"So they've come out of the fort…? Oh well, saves us a bunch of trouble!" He turned to his men to give them his order. "Attack them head-on! Do not show any mercy! Kill every last one of them!"
But the men to die would be those of the imperial army.
The Crusaders wielding tomes cast fire, wind, and thunder spells.
The remaining Crusaders raised their mysterious weapons towards the enemies that had managed to dodge the magic attacks. Their swords, lances, and axe tore through the enemy's defenses like paper, and within the blink of an eye, the Crusaders had eradicated the first troop.
"Keep this formation and push forward, everyone!" At Heim's orders, the Crusaders slowly began to progress.
The second imperial troop attacked, but met the same fate as the first.
After that, the imperial army did not try to keep up the fight.
They retreated and cleared a path for the liberation army to continue forwards.
This event became known as the "Miracle of Darna."
