I love the cultural miku trend for all the normal reasons but also because it's incredibly funny seeing when people feel the need to get specific. I see an Indian miku and then three posts later is a Tamil miku. like yes PLEASE say more about resisting cultural hegemony and the forces at play that make it important and necessary
#this post is phrased weird but i want to be so so so clear i mean this so genuinely#also i have a soft spot in my heart for tamil culture specifically#when i was in undergrad i got my life saved by a guy who would talk so fondly at length abt being tamil#and the... resentment? he felt towards the cultural desi supremacy#idk. it meant a lot to me. still does. ill always remember those times fondly
