So last year I did Valentines Day Practice Week, which is just a fancy name for that time I took ship-centered art requests and made full drawings for~

And it went pretty well! Good!Delsin VS Bad!Delsin is still like my favourite drawing I’ve ever made! So obviously I wanna do it again!

So feel welcome to send me ships/multiple characters requests (+ scenario (platonic/romantic/whatever relation/situation you have in mind), any additional prompts (locations/props/references) are also welcome! :D

I would prefer canon characters (especially from fandoms I’m in), but of course OCs are welcome as well! C:

how did you start your blog and how do you manage it? how many asks do you answer a day and how did you get popular? i'm planning on making a batim ask blog (you inspired me a ton) and i reeeaaally wanna know where to start

“How did you start your blog -”

i really like batim. in late april and through may i was drawing and writing it like no tomorrow. come the end of may i decided i wanted to take my generic little ‘studio never fell’ AU outside some silly sketchdumps and entertain someone other than me n my friend with it, and I’d been itching to run another ask blog so I decided to make this mess :B that’s it that’s the origin story, pretty anticlimactic eh?

“-and how do you manage it?”

i don’t, not well anyway the first few days I answered asks as I got them to kinda give the blog substance, after that I figured one art-response a day was enough to keep the blog active and get through my inbox at a decent rate. not anymore its not but if i bump it up im gonna break my hand lmao that’s as managed as the blog gets, the rest is just… Wingin’ It. headcanons come as people ask for them and as i get ideas and write them. scheduling posts is a godsend. sometimes instead of posting one Really Good drawn response I post two mediocre ones. just… do what feels right, my guy. oh, remember to make a tags page, and don’t get super complicated with your tags. fun fact: tumblr search only tracks the first five tags. that’s why I put fandom/character tags before I ramble. also making stuff like a rules/about page, a mun page, like… all those other little pages? they’re good too. keeps things organized and its a good place for people to find some important information. that’s as organized as the blog gets. seriously, the rest is just Massive Ass-pulling.

“how many asks do you answer a day?”

at least one, and that’s my requirement of “one art response a day.” otherwise, it varies. Some days I’ll only post my one art response thing, other days its that and like three other quick art responses and also like 14 headcanon posts. it all depends on how I’m feeling and what ideas I get really. some headcanons I’ve had sitting around waiting for someone to ask about them. Others I need to think about for like a week so I can get them right before I post them because I’d never thought about them before. sometimes i mean to answer an ask but it gets pushed to the back of my inbox and I forget about it for two weeks. there’s so many variables here.

“how did you get popular?”

good heckin’ question. i have no idea. (i still don’t even consider myself popular, people mention me alongside other Big Fandom Artists™ and I’m like… Baffled. Honored, but baffled. I certainly don’t feel like I belong among them xD) my advice here is to not expect it. if it happens, it happens. I’m here because I love this darn game and I love to entertain people with the characters, not because I get attention. sure the attention and validation is nice, but… actually just in general, don’t do anything because you’ll be popular or whatever. do it because it makes you happy. brilliant life advice from uncle mun right there. everything’s pointless in the end so you might as well have fun with your comically short lifespan.

Also to combine the last two points, I haven’t been caught up with all my asks since like… mid-June. If you start gaining attention your inbox will flood, and you might feel overwhelmed. That’s fine. Here’s a really important thing about ask blogs: do not ever feel obligated to please everyone. You don’t HAVE to answer every ask. Respond to what you can. The worst thing that’ll happen is people might resend their asks after a while thinking they didn’t send the first time, I’ve yet to have someone actively complain because I didn’t answer their ask. don’t worry about it too much.
