i really want to start spinning for fine singles (aka spinning the same thickness i already do but not plying it) but it's such a balancing act (ha) especially when the yarn is so thin because if i undertwist it just falls apart instantly but if i overtwist it they just want to ply back on themselves anyway. bleh

#spinning for singles is easier when its thicker like a lopi style yarn imo #when its very fine i feel the space for error is greater #i also reaaaally want to spin fine paper yarn japanese style with mulberry kozo paper like the kind used in shifu #i watched a video about how shifu makers prepare their paper yarn and im in love #and the traditional japanese spinning wheel they use is a lot like the charkha (south asian spinning wheel) which i have
