#hg liveblog#i love this movie so much#i saw a video that was like *authoritarian governments that would be stupid irl*#and i was listening to it as i worked kinda skeptical bc panem was heavily based in civilizations history#and sure enough the dude talking said something about *pitting weak girls against strong boys* and the gender essentialism immediately#invalidated the dudes entire arguement#because there is a distinct trend of men HATING this book and movie#purely because it is a strong unfeminine female character who gets the starring role#while the much softer and sweeter peeta becomes the love interest#and the male action hero gale is rendered kinda impotent and not a deep thinker
