#the LIGHTING and the FIGHTING and the SOUND#whenever someone gets punched or slapped and the lights flare and dim and there's ringing and everything slows#and the flashlight in great expectations#and the final fight choreo!!! how the lights go in and out and suddenly they're all bloody#and all of them are hit in unison#and the rain#and johnny at the end#and dallas!!! him bracing himself centre stage during the monologue#and when ponyboy was getting drowned and the lights flicker in and out and it's bursts of action and suddenly there's blood#and when he gets slapped and says so sadly to the audience “darrel had never hit me before” before he falls#and all the times when he speaks in the moment between getting hit and falling#the monologues were a+#AND THE LETTER#damn i could go on#when two bit was beaten up in the bg and he screamed#the way they play with the gravel onstage#and the boards#and during the fire speeding up and slowing down!!#okay stopping now#i recommend it
