#I wrote a lot of Sparrabeth meta as a kid#that was the best meta community ever#people who didn't ship it used to hang out with us because the community had the best discussion of the themes/characters#and then AWE was such a shitshow and the writers picked a massive fight with basically the entire fandom#after they pissed off literally everyone and lied to us for months#200 pages of the script leaked way ahead of time and they said it wasn't real (spoiler alert: it was real)#(it was so terrible no one believed it could be genuine- ahaha all of this is so familiar)#the way they lashed out over the most delicate and reasonable criticism was wild#it was worse than the LF meltdown we're having now#and the fandom continues to blame executive meddling even though it was 100% the writers and there is loads of proof
