That wasn't the kind of wake up call that Mike would have expected,  or wanted to,  but then again he doubted that anyone would have been happy to be slapped awake.  ❝ What was that for ? ❞  He grumbled as he pressed his face against the pillow,  fighting the urge to reach for the blankets and pull them over his head.

It took him a couple of moments to actually process what she was saying,  but the moment his still muddled with sleep brain caught up on it,  and there he was,  sitting up far too quickly and almost knocking himself off the bed.  ❝ You know,  saying it like that makes me feel like we are about to pay a visit to an amusement park. . . ❞  A pause,  nose scrunching up.  ❝ Which technically it's almost true. ❞  After all he did feel like a kid going to one of those parks whenever he found a new place to explore that had some potential.

❝ Give me five minutes and I'm ready to go. ❞  Words quick while Mike was rolling off the bed,  gathering clothes along the way to the bathroom.  ❝ Tonight should be fun. ❞  He spoke again,  his voice loud enough to be heard between the rooms.  ❝ From what I heard from some of the others,  the place is really active. ❞  It was only after he was back in the room that a grin was gracing his features,  a familiar gleam behind dark hues as he looked at El.  ❝ Maybe we'll catch something good. ❞  Well,  he couldn't be blamed for being excited,  right ?
