I just found out three years ago Paul Kupperberg posted a entire rejected pitch for a peacemaker solo to his site like it wouldnt drive me completely fucking insane to discover. like Id just be fine.

#ITS THE OUTLINE FOR THE WHOLE RUN. ITS MASSIVE AND ITS INSANE.#CHRIS WAS GONNA STOP BEING PEACEMAKER AND GET REPLACED BY A GUY NAMED RICHARD CARTER!#SO WE HAVE A GOOD NAME FOR CANON PEACEMAKER 2 NOW #Also paul decided the cybernetics in the helmet drives people insane which is making me wheeze laugh #Doesnt say thats Chris's Entire problem though just that it was part of it. Chris still has issues besides that nobody worry #It has that checkmate vibe and like a 'the problem is all this RED TAPE stopping people from DOING WHATS RIGHT' message #and the end wouldve been Richard Carter Remaining Peacemaker but becoming a Good One after the #pax institute gets disbanded and hes totally on his own. And killing for peace is unironically a good thing in there.#Also theres a anti-communist villain and the racist one from Peacemakers 1988 miniseries is still here #and the main villain. AWESOME PAUL.#Like everything Kupperberg-Peacemaker related I think if this happened it wouldve been #problematic and insane but I think its kind of a shame it didnt. Like Checkmate and Vigilante is already out there.#Also 5 people wouldve read it which I guess is why it didnt get picked up. But oh my god what couldve been.#I wonder if some of the idea for Richard Carter's deal got out and was recycled in Mitchell Black
