Hi! This is the anon who recommended The Walter Boys series! I’ve only watched ep1 on TikTok, but you’re on point about Team Conrad = Team Cole! They’re similar in that they start out as “jerks,” but they gradually reveal their soft side to the protagonist and that they both play football. Alex and Jeremiah are kinda different as Alex is a shy bookworm and Jeremiah is a frat bro, but they both feel inferior to their older brothers. There’s also this scene in ep1 where Alex interrupts an intimate moment between Cole and Jackie (protagonist) and it’s just like the Party City scene in tsitp. Also, I think it’s interesting how Belly and Jackie’s stories parallel as they both deal with love triangles and grief. Both girls are caught in the middle of a feud between an older and younger brother that then escalates into a love triangle (with a lot of that animosity being expressed by the younger brother). However, while Belly’s story focuses on how all three parties of the triangle are dealing with their shared grief, Jackie is dealing with her own personal grief and I think the rest of the series will show the different ways the Walter brothers will respond to her grief and help her cope.

Am I over-analyzing these fun teen drama shows that I don’t even have access to because I don’t have streaming? Maybe. But, over-analyzing is what I do best and watching The Walter Boys compilations on YouTube are really helping me with the tsitp drought right now.

i binged the entire show instead of studying for finals and look all i gotta say is this: conrad & cole = hot sad broody former quarterbacks that are just trying their best 😍 jeremiah & alex = petty jealous little brothers that are simply the consolation prize 🙈 belly & jackie = messy queens 💅🏼

and y'know what?? these little teen drama shows are FUN and i love that for us
