i'd be so interested to know if there's an actual abortion spell in thedas and the politics surrounding it actually... i think because andrastrianism and their understanding of souls/the afterlife is different they wouldn't have the same hangups as us, but seeing how it would work with circle mages especially is soooo interesting

#ask #anonymous #i had this whole scrapped thing in my head where marcus gets pregnant in act 3 and hides it from anders until they're on the run #and the chantry/circle always taught him that the only safe abortion spell involves blood magic so he's really conflicted #and has this crisis point like. i said id never do blood magic but someone i love is going to suffer a lot if i dont #so he does it. then like a year later hanging out with apostates / the hof he finds out thst he didnt even need to #do blood magic and this was just chantry propaganda to dissuade mages from terminating pregnancies because #babies born into circles are basically just free chantry sisters/brothers #but i hate the whole trans man angsty accidental pregnancy trope so i kind of abandoned it #ig it's fun as a subversion where the happy ending is he gets an abortion
