Girl, I hate to say it, but unless you want to discuss luigi the human being (which seems to be taboo because so many people hate when others talk about him in any context but the case) there is really nothing else to discuss right now. Conversation about luigi the person is apparently "fangirling/gossiping" to a lot of people, though. We don't know that much about him and his life; a lot of what we know is conjecture. Unless his friends and family decide to share him with us, we'll never really know him. This is me hoping he writes a damn book.
I'm not trying to dissuade you from discussing luigi the human! I hope you do. Anybody dissuading conversation about luigi as a human is doing far more harm than a fangirl posting his picture and saying how hot he is. I really don't like people telling others how to talk about luigi because most of the positive discourse about him has come from his "fandom," and they're the reason we know so much about him! For every crumb of info we have about him, there is an asshole complaining that we shouldn't be talking about it because it's "irrelevant" and "doing nothing but hurting his case" or whatever. With nearly all social media companies actively censoring luigi content to the point where there is almost nothing but anti-luigi mainstream media posts, the public needs to speak about him as much as possible wherever we can. That includes tidbits about him and his life because learning who luigi is is exciting. It helps keep the momentum going. The man is an enigma, and we are intrigued!
I digress here, but I know that many luigi supporters have migrated to Discord to avoid censorship and the toxic people that are constantly complaining about the luigi content other people post. I have a feeling a lot of luigi tumblr just went to discord instead of dealing with the dozens of hate anons they dealt with every day. This breaks my heart because it minimizes the exposure on other platforms. They're letting the haters win. By telling people not to post certain things about luigi just because they don't like it, claiming shit like it doesn't help his case, we obviously get less and less luigi content, which just sucks for everybody.
i am very ready to talk about Luigi the human but i will not be writing fanfic (i've never written fanfic and i definitely don't want to start now) or speculating about whether he has had mental health issues or not. i also don't want to sit here and judge stupid things he might or might not have done during his college life. because it's really not that deep. it's college life for a reason.
but otherwise, i am very ready to talk about anything else. as long as we remember to talk about him as a fellow human and give him the respect he deserves, i am perfectly okay with it.
i can also talk about how hot i think he is, but i'd like to keep those thoughts to myself. things can go out of hand here really quickly if i linger on that for too long or let others do it. so i'd like to plead the fifth on this. 😔
also talking about Luigi makes sure people remember him and that's honestly a great thing and no damage can come out of it as long as people don't pull the forged letter stunt or the notes in socks stunt. anybody supporting him anyhow are still supporting him and that's great.
also not everything will be helping the case directly, sometimes just keeping Luigi's name and face in the public view will be enough. especially because court dates are gonna be scarce (that's how legal procedures work) and if people forget him, he might actually end up losing his life that way.

YOUR BIGGEST FAN!
Tumblr media
pro-hero katsuki bakugou x actress f ! reader ᯓ★ he finds out who the main admin is of his biggest fan page. 1.4k words. fluff / established relationship / not proofread / little smau at the end
spin-off from ‘a little mystery never hurt anybody’ [m—dni]
Tumblr media
katsuki never cared about his image at all. nor did he care about what people post about him online. aside from his own beliefs, he only cares about what you think, and if you think he’s ‘fucking cool’ then he’s fucking cool.
he only ever checks social media and posts something that you’re a part of. if he had the chance to have all his platforms with a picture of you both or even just you, he’d do it—but you would scold him and tell him that he should just have a photo of himself. which you had to do instead since he’s stubborn and wouldn’t know what photo would look the best.
well fortunately for you, who has an album of pictures of him whether you took it yourself to gate-keep, from his fan sites, or his modeling / commercial projects just picked one portrait that would match his overall style. not too much, not too zoomed out, but still would exude that cool side that you loved so much.
and the moment you changed his profile you’re already switching to your verified fan account to notify your followers of his new profile photo. multiple notifications spawn at your lockscreen, the tweet already blew up too.
your co-admins don’t even know that it was the ‘dazzling actress y/n’ running the account in the first place, and it was for the better. you always had this account the moment katsuki was in his third year in UA. usually posting threads about how amazing of a hero he is, or his rankings in the recent fan polls such as ‘hottest hero’ or ‘most powerful rookie hero quirks!’ and your favorite, ‘heroes i wanna get in bed with.’ just from that, anyone other than you knowing your identity would be real bad.
pro-hero dynamight always had a loyal fanbase anyway. and you were always the first account they’d come to for any news on him.
when you started dating you had to ask for some help which is why you had some of your followers (who have been supporting your blog for so long too!) to assist you when you couldn’t post as frequently as you used to. it was easy to juggle the fan account while you were starting as an actress, but when you started dating katsuki, manning the page is a big challenge. he’ll definitely find out in no time since personal space was thrown out the window when you became his.
you wanted to keep it a secret since you were still such a big fan and it felt like a waste deleting the account since you worked so hard on it—pouring so much passion on it despite being with the main source. there were even times when you begged your staff to get him to sign your merch, which you happily post on the fan page too, wearing thick gloves because you figured katsuki would recognize you immediately.
sometimes you would slip and mess up. your co-admin posting about katsuki taking a photo of your new digital billboard by the station. and you accidentally quoted the tweet on your fan page that reads ‘he really likes me~’ and you immediately take it down before the viewer count goes up.
it was a very close call, and when someone did ask you about it since some of them had notifications on for your account you just made up an excuse like ‘i mean y/n! sorry it was a typo.’
sometimes you’d get katsuki to look at the fan page when you both have free time. and he only ever likes the tweets when it involved you. like when you’re both spotted on a date, or a quote from an interview of him promoting your own projects.
you begged him to follow and he didn’t really think that much of it. shrugging and pressing the button and going back to indulging himself beside you.
you never really post any updates on the pro-hero that’s related to you though. and when you do find out about it, you had your co-admins to thank. especially for that one video clip of him struggling to take a picture of another billboard you had in the middle of the city.
until one day, the two of you were apart for a bit. he was out on a mission, and it’s sad that he couldn’t spend the first few days of your break with you.
nonetheless, you are currently working with his fan sites near the area for some updates on him at the time. you end up missing him too much when they send you the photos in your direct messages. though, “he looks really good,” you think to yourself. up in the air with that pretty grin of his whenever he wins.
on your fan page you always have that certain ‘watermark’ when you make a post. ending the tweet with ‘admin ⭐️💥’ to indicate that it was you posting.
quickly, you make a new post about his new feat, scheduling to have it posted on the next day.
you didn’t think much of it, just happy that your boyfriend was safe and he could come home earlier to you.
when you wake up, katsuki’s already back home seated on his side of the bed. but what was unusual was for him to be on his phone this early. concerned, you reach out to him, hoping there wasn’t an emergency or anything bad that happened.
then he starts laughing that goofy laugh of his that you love. which gets you to giggle yourself, “what’s so funny?” you give him a kiss on his cheek as a morning greeting. it’s nice waking up to him so happy, until you feel your own face drop in horror on the screen.
it was your tweet, with that exact format that you always used—not on your fan page, but at your own main account with already thousands of engagement. you feel yourself sink in your spot on the bed.
you did it now, you knew you shouldn’t be posting when you’re sleepy. now you fucked up, big time. you don’t even want to know the replies on that post, and you couldn’t even face your boyfriend who’s already crying from laughing so hard.
“you’re such a dumbass no wonder you kept pestering me about this fan account.”
you groan, hiding yourself under the covers. you couldn’t even imagine what’s going to become of you and how your manager’s going to react. it’s not like you could just abandon your following either! “it’s different as a fan!”
you take your phone from the bedside table and delete the tweet immediately. it’s been 30 minutes after you scheduled it, but there’s nothing you could even do to remedy the mistake. not when thousands have already seen your tweet. you don’t even know how to tell your co-admins who probably found out your real identity.
“just kill me!” you say, wrapping the comforter around you which leaves nothing for him anymore. he puts his phone down and wraps an arm on you. “don’t be so fuckin’ embarrassed babe. if it helps i’m your number one fan too.”
you won’t budge, staying still in your self made blanket burrito with a pout. facing away from him and with a huff. you were so embarrassed that your whole body freezes, and your mind goes blank. “hey come on, i’m happy about it!” you hear him say.
you could already feel the scoldings of your manager, you just hope this is mainly good publicity if it resurfaces—because you’re damn sure a lot of your shared fans are going to spread it all over the net.
“don’t fuckin’ ignore me babe! i’m really damn flattered here!” and he’s laughing again. he really couldn’t take it seriously, and you really wish this was just a really bad dream. it’s not like you wanted to keep it a secret forever! but you didn’t think he’d find out this way, bummer.
he pulls you on top of him, kissing all over your pouting face that’s sticking out from the thick comforter. “ah fuck this is so good! i bet when we get married you’re just on your phone posting live updates or some shit.”
you’re never going to hear the end of this. especially not when he digged a little deeper and found your ‘thirst’ postings from years ago. oh well, at least he knows you’ve always loved him. it was honestly such an ego boost learning his girlfriend just ‘as obsessed’ as he is towards you. besides, his page was almost a fan page of you in itself. whatever, you’re gonna laugh it off next week anyway.
at least you’ve given him another new thing that has him head over heels for you again.
bonus!

You know the saying about a stopped clock and all that? Ashley Rindsberg has an article that does just that for Pirateswire.
For the uninitiated, there has been a concerted effort across various social media platforms to disseminate and normalize terrorist propaganda and rhetoric. This comes from a core group of people who are moderators for multiple subreddits that are seemingly unrelated to Israel and Palestine but have all suddenly become very (((anti-Zionist))). These moderators all stem from one called r/Palestine and have a Discord server where they coordinate brigades, misinformation campaigns, and attacks across different platforms and subreddits.
This is what their Discord looks like.
Tumblr media
You can clearly see they have actual "taskforces" for spreading their rhetoric across various sites and platforms. The irony here is that they often accuse anyone who speaks out against them of being a "paid Israeli propagandist spreading Hasbara", but here we clearly see they're organized to spread their own misinformation.
Here is a photo of their call to brigade some posts.
Tumblr media
What is important to note is that they're getting a lot of their information from Resistance News Network (RNN). RNN is something I have talked about before when I covered Dropout's Palestine channel in their Discord server and how people were pushing it as a source of information. RNN is a telegram channel that collects and aggregates information and content from recognized terrorist groups and spreads it. This is not done in a neutral "this is what they're saying" but in a "we support this" manner. Here is a list of the channels they aggregate from:
Tumblr media
RNN has repeatedly and clearly made its stance clear that it sees violent terrorism as a justifiable means of "resistance", even when that "resistance" targets civilians and is laced with violent bigoted rhetoric that these supposed Leftists object to. In fact, RNN is actually associated with known terrorist fronts like Samidoun and is clearly misleading Leftists in its narrative that it supports "resistance" and whatever that means to Westerners.
It doesn't.
It supports violent extremist ideology that results in terrorism. Not resistance or revolution. But I've talked about how many of these terrorist groups are purposefully misleading naive Westerners and have been for decades. I've talked about how this has been the game plan for years and we have actual confirmation of this from a meeting that took place in Philadelphia due to FBI wiretaps.
I would not be surprised if we found that members of this misinformation network, as Rindsberg calls it, are active on here Tumblr as well. Considering the number of accounts that justify the actions of these terrorist groups and their rhetoric, pretend to be Jewish and justify violent antisemitism, and spread misinformation...well it seems more than likely. They're across multiple platforms, and if they're on the likes of Quora then they're definitely here as well.
So when jumblr calls out specific accounts for not actually being Jewish and spreading antisemitic rhetoric and terrorist propaganda then you should stop and consider that there is actual precedent for this. It's actively happening and you, the goy, who are calling Jews "Nazis" are actively falling for it.

‘Heartstopper’ To Wrap Nick & Charlie’s Story With Feature Film Finale On Netflix In Lieu Of Season 4
source: Deadline (X)
There is finally news for Heartstopper fans who have been patiently waiting to learn the fate of their show for more than six months. It may not be exactly what they were hoping for (Season 4), but it’s good news nevertheless: more Heartstopper is on the way, and Nick and Charlie’s story will get a proper ending.
Kit Connor and Joe Locke Set to Produce
Tumblr media
Netflix has greenlighted a Heartstopper movie, starring and executive produced by the series’ leads Joe Locke and Kit Connor and directed by Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, Colette), which will serve as a series finale. The announcement was made on the third anniversary of Heartstopper‘s April 22, 2002 premiere.
Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman, on whose graphic books the coming-of-age romantic series was based, is back as writer of the feature film, which will draw from the upcoming sixth and final volume of the graphic novel. (Season 1 covered Vol. 1-2, Season 2 was based on Vol. 3, and Season 4 followed Vol. 4 and 5.)
There is no publish date yet for Vol. 6, which is still being written. Oseman has indicated that ideally, the last book would drop ahead of the TV series’ conclusion.
In the Heartstopper finale, Nick (Connor) and Charlie (Locke) are inseparable, but with Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie finding new independence at school, the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them. Doubts take hold, and their relationship faces its biggest challenge yet. Meanwhile, their friends are also navigating the ups and downs of love and friendship, confronting the bittersweet challenges of growing up and moving on. Can first loves really last forever?
Tumblr media
Westmoreland, who has an extensive feature background, succeeds Euros Lyn, who directed the first two seasons of Heartstopper, and Andy Newbery, who helmed Season 3.
Locke and Connor join the executive producer ranks of the movie alongside Oseman, Lyn, Patrick Walters, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman who all served as executive producers on the first three seasons. See-Saw Films is back as production company. Filming is slated to begin in summer 2025.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story,” Oseman said. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”
While rare, a movie series finale is not unprecedented – in 2017, Netflix commissioned a Sense8 film following backlash from fans when the streamer canceled the Wachowskis’ sci-fi drama after two seasons on a cliffhanger. Other shows given a movie conclusion by their networks include Timeless (NBC), CSI (CBS) and Deadwood (HBO).
Like most of them, Heartstopper found itself on the bubble after its third season drew 10.9 million views from its October 3 release until the end of 2024, down about 30% from the views Season 2 had garnered over the same period. Season 3 spent two weeks in Netflix’s global Top 10, peaking at No. 4, vs. three weeks each for Seasons 1 and 2, the latter peaking at No. 2.
Tumblr media
Still, over the last six months of 2024, the first two seasons of Heartstopper added combined 8.8M views, showing continuing interest in the title on the platform.
What’s more, Season 3 was as well reviewed as the previous ones, nabbing another 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and continued to keep the series culturally relevant by tackling important issues, in this case mental health.
Most of all, it was Heartstopper‘s outsized impact across TV, social media, music and books and its legacy of LGBTQ+ representation that made the case for the show to get a proper ending even if the Season 3 viewership did not quite support a full-blown fourth and final season.
Tumblr media
The movie greenlight follows tireless efforts by the series’ creative team.
“I’m working very hard behind the scenes to get us a renewal for Heartstopper… there are so many people behind the scenes who are working really hard to make it happen,” Oseman said in February. “We’re feeling optimistic, we’re feeling hopeful.”
A month later, Walters said that “there are lots of moving parts” on a potential renewal and “we are working hard on it.”
One of the many moving parts was likely making new deals with Connor and Locke, who reportedly no longer had options. Little known when they were cast in Heartstopper, the duo are now in-demand actors with busy schedules coming off starring roles in the movie Warfare (Connor) and Disney+’s Agatha All Along (Locke).
But, just like the cast of Euphoria recently reassembled for a final season, Connor and Locke had been willing to return to the series that made them stars.
“I’d definitely like to do it as long as it’s done right,” Connor recently said. “I just want to make sure that we keep the heart in it. So, we are working on something, and hopefully we’re making it happen.”

hi congrats on the new blog!! just wanna req smth anything with seb x hamilton! reader when she visits at the same time he was in suzuka for the bee hotels and they hit it off start talking abt their passion for the environment yk
Meant to Bee | SV5
⊳ returning to the paddock with your brother & the beekeeper extraordinaire. [0.7K]
⊳ requests are still open; please send me some stuffs, i need some inspo.
Tumblr media
You and your brother had always been close; you had been his biggest supporter for so, so long.
In all the years of following him around paddocks, you’d always picked up friends.
Your favorite has always been Sebastian.
He’d always been warm, caring. Even during his time at Ferrari, he always had a kind word for you and your brother.
Your paddock appearances had dwindled for the last few years; you had finally started University, starting your course as an environmental lawyer.
However, when Lewis had come to you, asking if you’d attend at least one Grand Prix with him this year, you’d cracked.
‘Just…consider it a holiday.” He’d coaxed you out of your University Hall, practically carrying your suitcase for you.
The first few days had been amazing; you’d gone on adventures, sent your mother a photo of you and your brother in the most stupid Nintendo hats.
However, there was a literal buzz in the air when arriving at Suzuka; you’d opted to stay at the hotel on media day for some much needed rest and relaxation, only for your phone to go off whilst receiving a deep tissue massage.
Your brother had sent you a photo, him and a familiar blonde mass of curls.
Sebastian was in Suzuka.
The moment you could, you’d opened up your social media pages, seeing that Sebastian was in fact in the Paddock, setting up bee hotels and looking…insanely handsome whilst doing so.
You miss the following text which comes flying in when you’re back in your hotel room, hair loose around your shoulders and silk dressing gown tied around your middle.
Lewis had told you he was bringing Sebastian back to the hotel for some drinks, but you weren’t aware of this, not until you opened the door to see the two figures standing at the entrance.
“Sebastian!” You don’t even acknowledge your brother, practically jumping into the blondes arms at the joy of seeing him after so long.
You hear his laughter, wrapping his own arms around you, pressing a kiss to your cheek, asking how you had been doing since you’d last seen one another.
After getting changed, the three of you had gone down to the bar in the hotel, a few drinks over catching up on the past few years.
Lewis, being the social butterfly he was, ended up finding Bono and having a drink with him too, whilst you and Sebastian remained comfortable on the couch.
It was nice, relaxed. His arm rested along the back of the sofa, both of you engrossed in conversation as you inched closer together.
He’s amazed when you tell him about your degree, spinning off into a complete tangent about the environment.
You both have such incredible plans for the future, on saving the environment.
He is sitting straight up when you tell him about your final project; how you were planning to create a green energy source in each of the major areas of your University.
He wants to help, he’s instantly asking for details and is promising he’s going to be there, he’ll be there for whatever you need.
The sun is setting, but he moves from his seat, reaching out his hand, insinuating you take it.
‘Come on. I want to show you the bee hotels.’
Of course, Sebastian is a charmer; he works his magic and gets the two of you back into the track, walking you over to turn two.
It’s insane; the fact the entire track had shown up, decorated the hotels. He’s explaining biodiversity to you as you weave in and out of the beehives, still holding his hand.
He knows this, of course. His grip had remained tighter when becoming more passionate. You were back, you were finally back with him, even if only for a race.
“Are you staying for the race?” He asks, "You nodded in response.
“Well…maybe after practice tomorrow, we can grab some dinner? Discuss this a little more?”
“Are you asking me on a date, Sebastian?”
He looks down to where your hands are still entwined, grinning.
“Yeah, yeah I am.”
And of course, you agree. You just…don’t need to tell your brother.

Treblestuck: Listen to non-commercial works on non-commercial devices.
So most likely, Spotify's copyright bots finally started to ping on the fat stack of copyrighted karaoke tracks in the files posted by "Broadway Homestuck". This isn't a surprise. They don't belong there for many of the same reasons AO3 bans compensation. And then there's the biggest reason, which is that the person wringing them for money over there contributed absolutely nothing to their creation.
I am 99% certain "Broadway Homestuck" on Spotify (or itunes, or google play, or whatever else, it's a few places) is unaffiliated with anyone who actually produced those tracks. I don't support them because they are getting paid by Spotify for others' work, and the track art they have selected makes me strongly suspicious that they are profiting off of me, specifically, saving others' work (and making it look like it's me doing it!). What they are doing is in my estimation the second-worst-case possible scenario that could come from my actions and I'm really, really bummed out about it. Tindeck tracks were licensed for noncommercial distribution and spotify et al. are explicitly commercial. I don't want anyone to ever think that I am benefitting inappropriately from what I'm doing here.
The reasons I think this are
the... odd selection of songs, particularly due to facts of personal history and collaborations. The most stand-out example is La Seine, which *is* a Broadway Karkat collab, but it was posted to the duetist's account, SkylarCapuch. It is also not a parody, just a fun duet the singer did. I have it for archival reasons and I put it in BKK's folder because SkylarCapuch didn't have anything else to put it with, so it is technically misfiled by my own rules. Again, it is not a homestuck song. The only reason it's on this Spotify is because they grabbed all the files from me and didn't know what they were looking at.
a couple of specific typos
the album art, which I added when a given track didn't have any originally affixed
missing attribution for collaborators such as Kylee Henke, which is really unlike OG BKK
zero announcement on any OG BKK social media, which is BIZARRE for an artist opening a new income stream!
Nobody who knows what it is calls it "Broadway Homestuck". It's "Broadwaystuck" and has been for 12+ years.
and the fucking smoking gun, 7) You Can't Fight The Homestuck and Stuck This Way have NOTHING TO DO WITH BROADWAYSTUCK and there is no WAY in hell OG BKK would have touched that song with a ten foot pole. Those are from Kylee Henke's entirely unrelated project, Fruity Rumpus Meme Factory.
Not to even mention the album art on """"volume 2"""" is from Crab Guy (2019) not anything in 2013. but that's not my fault
Tumblr media
If you see this man (or these) as album art, I put him there.
Tumblr media
There are a few sources of legitimate homestuck fanmusic on Spotify, such as Totalspiffage's work. But this one ain't it.
Download and save what you love to your own devices. Don't pray for the continued favor of a corporation or a phony.

dear tumblr ,,⋋(•◇•)⋌,,
thank you so much for all the support on my top surgery fundraiser, whether it's donating, reblogging or just staying patient with while i boost the link multiple times. which i am going to keep doing! it's no understatement that this is the single biggest positive thing that's happening in my life, and the time i need your help most. so i'm making my voice heard as much as i possibly can to spread the word, and i appreciate all your help with it. it makes me feel loved as a person and not as a bunch of posts on a dashboard, i've been getting pretty isolated because of mental health stuff so even the small connection we have from your act of goodwill is really meaningful to me
i've been ok, mostly putting in work on my masters degree, although some of the 'work' included having a massive breakdown from months of burnout, and i'm currently in the middle of trying to get an extension and rework a large part of my project. mostly this is due to the subject matter of my work having had a lot of loaded cultural and personal themes, which, when being forced to think about nonstop for two years, while also moving in with the family member who is the source of a large part of all the trauma of it, was just too much. taking a stance to axe the project in its current form was hard and made me feel like a quitter but now i feel relief and realize it was an act of self love as well
so i'm trying to recover from that and see a way forward to a project i would like doing, but it's hard when your circumstances have left you this depressed. i'm also trying to become more mindful of the way i use social media because when i'm anxious i fall very easily into the numbness sink of scrolling social media just to avoid thinking... i've stared a daily list of Ten Things That Happened That Day That Didn't Happen On The Internet, although i never get to ten, and i dont think even pre-internet leon would have gotten to ten, but it's good to aim high and take notice even of the little things. maybe to some people this comes naturally but i have to be very deliberate about it. i think this article sums up how im starting to feel about the internet rn
i've cut most personal spending down as much as possible to save up to my top surgery, so i have to find fun things to do that don't cost money. i'm trying to sew because my partner knows a lot about it and can teach me (i'm currently trying to engineer the perfect underwear, weird hobby but it's actually an amazing dysphoria-buster because most store bought underwear that fits my ass is so feminine, to be able to make a piece of something so intimate be so personal is, omg, an act, of, omg, self love). i've also sold off some things to help save for my top surgery and doctor visits, i'm trying to not get rid of anything i will really miss but it's also an enjoyable feeling to imagine the item disappearing as it becoming a permanent part of my history and of my sexy flat boy body (~o_o)~
if i end up having some free time outside of my masters degree, my current dream project is making pixel assets. i think with all the cases of my art getting stolen and used without permission it would actually be really cool to put something together specifically for public use. i miss kaoani and flower banners and stuff. i dont know if i can ever make something so saccharinely cute and tidy but if anything it's a nice space to visit
did you miss me coming to tumblr to make long winded posts about nothing? hopefully when twitter falls we will all be on here reading each others paragraphs, hopefully i'll have more going on in my life and can write even longer ones. here is a nice drawing, and a link to the fundraiser once again :)

Hey there! So I notice you have a ko-fi listed at the bottom of a lot of your work, do you feel like you get a decent amount of tips? Like would it be worth setting one up and was it a lot of trouble setting it up? Ty and I love your art💚
Oh this is a really interesting question, but the short answer is that: it depends, and whether or not Kofi is "worth it" varies from creator to creator.
One big thing you should consider: are you planning on making this your sole source of income? For me personally, I make very little out of Kofi and commissions, but it doesn't bother me too much because I set those things up as a supplement to my regular income back when I had a steady job. Obviously the extra help is appreciated now that I'm unemployed, but when I find a new job those tips and comms are going to go back to being supplemental, because that's the system that works best for me.
Setting up Kofi as a lone income source is its own can of worms, I'd recommend you ask around with other artists who use Kofi, both part time and full time, so you can get different perspectives and make the best choice for yourself. Keep in mind the cons of Kofi (I'm linking to this article listing out the pros and cons), and don't rule out any alternatives that might offer you what you're looking for.
My biggest advice is to not go into things like Kofi expecting to receive tips and donations, because just having an audience isn't a guarantee of financial support. If they want to give you that support, that's great! But they are under no obligation to you.
But if you do decide to make a Kofi, I'd say go for it! It's fairly easy to set up with an existing Paypal or Stripe account, the customization is nice, and I like having my gallery there separate from the mess that is my social media. Sorry if any of this comes off as rambly fghgh but I hope it can be helpful to you. Good luck ♥️

Actionists are being detained under the Terrorism Act, allowing the police to hold them for up to 7 days, with possible extension to 14 days, without charge. This comes after six were arrested on Tuesday 6th August for entering Elbit Systems’ Filton, Bristol site, to prevent its manufacture of weapons for genocide. The Filton premises are the brand new £35m R&D hub of Israel’s biggest weapons firm. Its June 2023 opening was attended by the UK-Israeli Ambassador Hotevely, and Elbit’s CEO Bezhalel Machlis – who has frequently boasted of the company’s central role in Israel’s military, during the ongoing Gaza genocide. Direct action against Elbit aims to disrupt this: targeting the source of colonial violence and genocide against the Palestinian people, undermining Elbit’s profiteering from Israel’s daily massacres. As well as detaining them under unprecedented powers, police have launched a smear campaign against the detained actionists, alleging violence against police and security guards. The activists are unable to respond to these claims, and unable to describe for public record the force used against them by police and private security. Palestine Action contends that these statements are designed to prejudice opinion and legal proceedings against activists, and to lay the groundwork for the police’s unjust use of authoritarian powers. Now, more than ever, Palestine Action and the #Filton6 need the support of the public, to push back against these authoritarian attempts to protect Israel’s weapons industry. Show the British state and Israeli arms companies that we refuse to be intimidated into allowing a genocide to happen. Here are three things you can do to support:  - Mobilise from 4PM on Sunday 11th August outside Hammersmith police station, W6 7NX or Newbury police station, RG14 5QU - Share this statement or publish your own - Visualise your support for the #Filton6 and Palestine Action either at protests or by sharing a picture with a sign saying ‘I stand with the #Filton6’ on social media
Palestine Action co-founders, Richard Barnard and Huda Ammori, also talked here about being detained under Section 7 of the Terrorism Act at the Welsh border. Huda says they were:
stopped and separated and then straight away they just asked for all of our passwords. Basically under Schedule 7 you don’t have the right to no comment and they remind you that if you say no comment to anything you will get charged under the Terrorism Act. You don’t have the right to a lawyer, so it’s completely different to being arrested outside of a port where you actually have lots of rights and the right to not reply. They basically interrogated us for three or four hours. As soon as we got there they split us up. I refused to give it [the password] for my laptop because I had other people’s details and I wasn’t comfortable. I was barely asked about what we were doing in Wales; they didn’t seem to care about that. What they seemed to care about was Palestine Action. They cared about what my family background was, what religion I was. My family’s name is because I’m Iraqi and Palestinian and I’ve been to Iraq and it was in my passport. They were asking me a lot about the Middle East and then my whole history of activism. After two hours I asked for a cigarette even though I don’t smoke and they said “oh you can smoke it inside” and I was like what do you mean? We can smoke it inside, isn’t that illegal? They said “Oh, the law didn’t apply here” and so it kind of felt very very serious to say the least.
Richard also says he was told:
‘It’s nice to have someone like you here’, and I was like what do you mean by that? And then he was rather sheepishly going ‘well you know, not a Muslim and [a] white person because normally we just take Muslims’.

my theory is do rich families sometimes sell their children to kpop for further profit or they are approached by someone from the agency? i have a feeling that with nepotism being quite relevant nowadays or a reason for an idol to debut, or is it simply that they always have some sort of connection to said agency? it seems very rare that we hear of anyone normal / low income since pre 2016 kpop and ive just wondered why kpop has goven into wealth and an idols background seems to matter more if they have had it lucky since birth ie: jennie or maybe even jisoo. so it makes me think that something weirder goes on if they do indeed come from a rich family they maybe are either given the choice or they are told they are becoming idols at a young age. i could be very wrong ofc but i dont know i dont like this nepotism direction kpops been in for some time. id like to see people of dofferent backgrounds but it always seem to lead back to them having some sort of popularity or them having a connection prior to becoming an idol. i hope this makes sense and thank u very much in advance!
This is a super interesting topic, kind of polemic. I’m going to give my opinion on that instead of asking to any form of divination, I hope this is good to you as well and if not, let me know ;;
I’ve been asking myself the same question about the whole music industry, not just the kpop industry.
I like to analyze it since it’s my work field and I came to learn that everything is ✨nepotism✨ these days (and probably was always like this) and if not, definitely connections or interests or something else. I wish it wasn’t that way but it’s very rare when it isn’t.
Remember that a career in the industry it’s something that costs a lot of money. Promotions, marketing, recording, mastering, mixing, planning, the concerts, the rehearsals, the production, all that costs a lot of money. Now add a whole team of dancers, makeup artists, producers, musicians, accountants, legal team, content creators, video editors and many more. Just being a two people team costs a lot if they’re not 100% self produced.
The industries will never lose, so their way to secure money is knowing the people they will debut will pay back the huge investment they’re doing. They will play safe and they need to know what they’re getting into. If they’re from a wealthy background they know the families will support their children, either financially or socially. They have contacts and money so is easier to make connections, they know how to negotiate. If the trainee had that "it factor", and were popular before because of their charisma, it means they will catch the attention when they're in a group too (at least that the reasoning). Even if the group doesn’t perform well in the end they know they’re not losing completely since they gained an ally or got away with whatever deal they wanted or just got a good source of income for a year or two.
Making a group that doesn’t have that facilities is risky. That’s why there’s less groups like this. They rely on fans, who are the biggest pillar in an artist career, but if they don’t reach enough people in the stipulated period (that usually is the end of their first contract) then it will be difficult for them to arise. They need to connect with the fans, but they need the tools to do it. Some of them are controlled by the agencies and don’t have the time or the permission to do activities or lives or promote. Some of them don’t even have social media, how do you connect personally with your fans, your people, if you don’t have personal social media?
And don’t get me wrong, maybe there’s people out there who are breaking their backs to get where they are now and keep pushing until they rise, but that happens if you know how to connect, how to catch the attention of potential partners or clients or listeners and if you know how to make business. Kpop idols get in the industry when they’re 13 or less, you don’t know about business at that age unless you’ve been raised for it or you got it in you, which can happen, but it's not common. Also they recruit children with dreams, they sell dreams, and as they grow they realize, but at that age is easy to believe and you're more ambitious.
Remember the music industry, at the end of the day, and sadly, is that. Business man selling. My pessimistic side kinda showed up with this. I'm sorry for the long post. Not everything is bad, tho, but if you ask me if I think nepotism will end, sincerely, I would say no and it will keep happening because the industry needs loyal investors.

Dangers of Disinformation/Misinformation
So, I was getting tired of an acquaintance who was continually posting extremely biased and often misinformed things on another site. At the end of another one of these ridiculous copy-pasted posts, was the question "So, what really divides Canadians?"
Well, that was a question that I was entirely prepared to answer.
TL:DR - do your research and beware of emotional reactions and confirmation bias. ---------------------------- Here is the exact response to her post
I am going to ignore much of what is posted here, though I will say ALL sides of the political spectrum are guilty of much wrongdoing and to focus or accuse only one side is a misinformation tactic.
What I will do, is answer the question at the end of the post and, I am sorry, it is a long answer that only covers one of the biggest aspects of the question:
What divides Canadians?
I think the best place to start is with the recently released Special Report on Foreign Interference. Whether foreign or domestic in origin, the biggest threat to our democratic processes is disinformation (intentional) and misinformation (unintentional) through both traditional and social media. These things aim to distort the public’s perception of reality.
What starts as disinformation can quickly become misinformation as people spread it without checking to make sure of the facts is due to confirmation bias. Now, this can occur on all sides of the political spectrum. Beyond confirmation bias, one of the reasons disinformation is so dangerous is because it designed to feed into our emotions and amplify them.
Some of the easiest emotions to manipulate are things like fear and anger in its many forms which is why much of the disinformation seen focuses on negative aspects. When disinformation is used to target any particular group of people, combined with the right language, it will create an intentional othering of that group. This is the beginning of a division between groups of people.
Now, anyone can be affected by these tactics as some methods are more subtle than others to try and catch those who can be more critical of the things they hear and read. It can be as simple as choosing a word with the same meaning, but a different connotation or emotional resonance to push thoughts and emotions towards certain beliefs.
And, the more one moves towards certain beliefs, the easier it is to manipulate those beliefs.
Now this is just basics, of the issue, but one of the largest things that create a divide between people, but that also leaves the question of:
What can we do to stop the spread of disinformation and misinformation?
There are a few things actually. First, always get your news and information from multiple sources. Ideally, find unbiased sources when possible. Media Bias Fact Check is a website that can help you check the bias of your sources and give you information on how factual their information is.
Avoid copy-paste posts that feed into your emotions without double-checking the facts of what is behind it yourself using multiple sources. The benefit is that if someone does choose to argue with what you posted, you have the facts to back it up.
Remember, no group is a monolith and one person is not always representative of an entire group. If what you are sharing uses language that seems to indicate either of these things, then you might want to do some more research or thinking before sharing it.
Lastly, take the time to think about your beliefs, about what facts support them, and be willing to have open and honest dialogue about it. Connecting with others, even through differing beliefs, can help keep people connected, foster understanding, and reduce the divide between us.
Most importantly, no matter what, keep learning, expanding and checking facts and when it comes time to voting, forget what the leaders of any party are saying. Anyone can say anything they want, that doesn’t mean they truly believe it or will follow through with it once elected into office.
If you want to know what they really think, the voting records for politicians are easy to find online for MPs and MLAs.

Post 2, Week 3
Has Cyberfeminism(s) impacted feminism as a movement?
Cyberfeminism as a whole has changed the landscape of the feminist movement as a whole. The movement was born out of the theory that the internet can be a place for all women to transform their lives and feel liberated. Using the internet to expand the ideology of the feminist movement to more women. Cyberfeminism(s) has been able to achieve a more widespread display of feminism but has some issues. The movement has been critiqued by many scholars for a multitude of things. Some scholars touch on Cyberfeminism(s) not having a grounding point for its ideology and are described as “just a developing theory”. Other scholars will focus more on the movements sporadic and contradicting points. This coupled with the assumed “educated, white, upper-middle-class, English-speaking, culturally sophisticated readership” has thrown the movement into this weird spot. A spot where it is,by nature, excluding some women by making it inaccessible. I think cyberfeminism(s) has also pushed it to an audience (men) that may have not seen the movement or already had opinions on the movement. Typically an audience who is the oppressor of women. This new found audience has belittled the movement and deduced it to nothing more than “crying” or being “too sensitive”. Playing into the point of why the movement is needed. Which has impacted the feminist movement.
Can the use of Ai technologies be unbiased?
Ai and its many implications have been promised the future of the world and a way for mankind to make life easier. While it has the possibility to be true, we have to ask the question of easier for who exactly? For example in America, our healthcare system has adopted the use of AI to determine care for people and whether they need it. Studies have shown that people who spend more or have more access to healthcare that they get the care they need more often than others. Typically people who have more access to healthcare are white people. Basically implying that since white people have access to healthcare they are determined that they will get said care. While others who don’t have the access will get denied more because of the lack of frequency. Ai as it is built gathers information from other users on the internet (people) and by nature is a product of its environment. Then a question arises will AI ever be able to be unbiased sometime in the future? While we may not be able to answer that question as of now, we can speculate. With the way that AI is set up and is being used it is most likely not going to be able to be as unbiased as they say.
How has the internet helped the anti-I.C.E movement?
The media has always been a powerful tool in the fight against injustice, helping to raise awareness and mobilize people. In today’s world, social media makes it easier than ever to share information and organize movements. A recent example of this was the protests against Donald Trump’s anti-immigration policies. Social media platforms played a central role in organizing and spreading the message, with people across the U.S. coming together to protest I.C.E. For me, TikTok has been a primary source of media, and I saw numerous videos documenting how the protests managed to shut down a major highway in Los Angeles. Most of the content I encountered was filled with positive support and messages of solidarity. However, as is often the case, there was also a darker side, with some videos attracting racist and harmful comments. This duality highlights both the power and the negative aspects of social media platforms.
How has facial recognition software been used to target minority communities?
Facial recognition technology is heavily influenced by political perspectives, especially when it’s used by police to track down criminals. This raises serious concerns for minority communities, as one of the biggest issues with the technology is its inability to accurately recognize people from diverse racial backgrounds. A 2019 study examining over 100 facial recognition systems found that they performed significantly worse on Black and Asian faces, as highlighted by Kashmir Hill in her article "Another Arrest, and Jail Time, Due to a Bad Facial Recognition Match." This flaw has led to innocent individuals—particularly those from minority groups—being wrongly arrested and imprisoned. Hill details the case of Nijeer Parks, who ended up spending "10 days in jail and paid around $5,000 to defend himself" after being falsely identified by facial recognition software. Not everyone has the resources to fight such charges, and the increasing use of this technology could lead to more wrongful incarcerations and innocent people facing time in prison.

Why Tableau is Essential in Data Science: Transforming Raw Data into Insights
Tumblr media
Data science is all about turning raw data into valuable insights. But numbers and statistics alone don’t tell the full story—they need to be visualized to make sense. That’s where Tableau comes in.
Tableau is a powerful tool that helps data scientists, analysts, and businesses see and understand data better. It simplifies complex datasets, making them interactive and easy to interpret. But with so many tools available, why is Tableau a must-have for data science? Let’s explore.
1. The Importance of Data Visualization in Data Science
Imagine you’re working with millions of data points from customer purchases, social media interactions, or financial transactions. Analyzing raw numbers manually would be overwhelming.
That’s why visualization is crucial in data science:
Identifies trends and patterns – Instead of sifting through spreadsheets, you can quickly spot trends in a visual format.
Makes complex data understandable – Graphs, heatmaps, and dashboards simplify the interpretation of large datasets.
Enhances decision-making – Stakeholders can easily grasp insights and make data-driven decisions faster.
Saves time and effort – Instead of writing lengthy reports, an interactive dashboard tells the story in seconds.
Without tools like Tableau, data science would be limited to experts who can code and run statistical models. With Tableau, insights become accessible to everyone—from data scientists to business executives.
2. Why Tableau Stands Out in Data Science
A. User-Friendly and Requires No Coding
One of the biggest advantages of Tableau is its drag-and-drop interface. Unlike Python or R, which require programming skills, Tableau allows users to create visualizations without writing a single line of code.
Even if you’re a beginner, you can:
✅ Upload data from multiple sources
✅ Create interactive dashboards in minutes
✅ Share insights with teams easily
This no-code approach makes Tableau ideal for both technical and non-technical professionals in data science.
B. Handles Large Datasets Efficiently
Data scientists often work with massive datasets—whether it’s financial transactions, customer behavior, or healthcare records. Traditional tools like Excel struggle with large volumes of data.
Tableau, on the other hand:
Can process millions of rows without slowing down
Optimizes performance using advanced data engine technology
Supports real-time data streaming for up-to-date analysis
This makes it a go-to tool for businesses that need fast, data-driven insights.
C. Connects with Multiple Data Sources
A major challenge in data science is bringing together data from different platforms. Tableau seamlessly integrates with a variety of sources, including:
Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server
Cloud platforms: AWS, Google BigQuery, Snowflake
Spreadsheets and APIs: Excel, Google Sheets, web-based data sources
This flexibility allows data scientists to combine datasets from multiple sources without needing complex SQL queries or scripts.
D. Real-Time Data Analysis
Industries like finance, healthcare, and e-commerce rely on real-time data to make quick decisions. Tableau’s live data connection allows users to:
Track stock market trends as they happen
Monitor website traffic and customer interactions in real time
Detect fraudulent transactions instantly
Instead of waiting for reports to be generated manually, Tableau delivers insights as events unfold.
E. Advanced Analytics Without Complexity
While Tableau is known for its visualizations, it also supports advanced analytics. You can:
Forecast trends based on historical data
Perform clustering and segmentation to identify patterns
Integrate with Python and R for machine learning and predictive modeling
This means data scientists can combine deep analytics with intuitive visualization, making Tableau a versatile tool.
3. How Tableau Helps Data Scientists in Real Life
Tableau has been adopted by the majority of industries to make data science more impactful and accessible. This is applied in the following real-life scenarios:
A. Analytics for Health Care
Tableau is deployed by hospitals and research institutions for the following purposes:
Monitor patient recovery rates and predict outbreaks of diseases
Analyze hospital occupancy and resource allocation
Identify trends in patient demographics and treatment results
B. Finance and Banking
Banks and investment firms rely on Tableau for the following purposes:
✅ Detect fraud by analyzing transaction patterns
✅ Track stock market fluctuations and make informed investment decisions
✅ Assess credit risk and loan performance
C. Marketing and Customer Insights
Companies use Tableau to:
✅ Track customer buying behavior and personalize recommendations
✅ Analyze social media engagement and campaign effectiveness
✅ Optimize ad spend by identifying high-performing channels
D. Retail and Supply Chain Management
Retailers leverage Tableau to:
✅ Forecast product demand and adjust inventory levels
✅ Identify regional sales trends and adjust marketing strategies
✅ Optimize supply chain logistics and reduce delivery delays
These applications show why Tableau is a must-have for data-driven decision-making.
4. Tableau vs. Other Data Visualization Tools
There are many visualization tools available, but Tableau consistently ranks as one of the best. Here’s why:
Tableau vs. Excel – Excel struggles with big data and lacks interactivity; Tableau handles large datasets effortlessly.
Tableau vs. Power BI – Power BI is great for Microsoft users, but Tableau offers more flexibility across different data sources.
Tableau vs. Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn) – Python libraries require coding skills, while Tableau simplifies visualization for all users.
This makes Tableau the go-to tool for both beginners and experienced professionals in data science.
5. Conclusion
Tableau has become an essential tool in data science because it simplifies data visualization, handles large datasets, and integrates seamlessly with various data sources. It enables professionals to analyze, interpret, and present data interactively, making insights accessible to everyone—from data scientists to business leaders.
If you’re looking to build a strong foundation in data science, learning Tableau is a smart career move. Many data science courses now include Tableau as a key skill, as companies increasingly demand professionals who can transform raw data into meaningful insights.
In a world where data is the driving force behind decision-making, Tableau ensures that the insights you uncover are not just accurate—but also clear, impactful, and easy to act upon.

I don’t usually make posts like this but guys can we please please please check what we’re reblogging for misinformation
I really do think that the biggest part of activism is rationality, and making sure that what we are spreading around is factual. Outrage is one of the easiest things to take advantage of for people looking to spin their own narratives.
As someone who fact checks and cross-references academic papers for a living and also isn’t exactly a slouch when it comes to textual analysis, here’s some really easy ways to double check what you’re posting:
Check the original blogger and look through a couple of their top posts. Generally, you’ll be able to see some of the sentiments they hold. I know I narrowly avoided reblogging something from a transphobe just by doing this
Check for sources. If there are no sources, don’t reblog, or find a reblog that has sources, or reblog and add your own.
Just because a post has one source: that’s not typically good enough. Try to find at least three if you can. Cross-reference!!!
Look at where your sources come from. Check the reputability literally by typing in “is [source name] reputable?” if you don’t know. Generally you’ll want newspapers, journals, websites dedicated to the topic in question. Avoid sourcing only from social media - though, as we know, there are certain situations where we need to be taking into account the voices of individuals when supposedly unbiased sources refuse to publish their perspectives, or diminish their experiences with coded language.
Check to see if any quotes are carefully edited or taken wildly out of context. People love making sensation out of moderate statements. People also love passing around catchy soundbites.
Check the publisher and the source of funding. Usually you can find it at the bottom of a website page or in the funding section of an article. There are quite a few studies on the benefits of eggs and milk sponsored by the dairy council in my country. While this doesn’t necessarily mean the science or information is completely bogus, you may want to be slightly skeptical about the motives of the research or report. Who does this research/article benefit?
Listen to what people are telling you who are directly involved. This should go without saying. You should always strive to be a better listener than a louder speaker, even if both are important. We are here to support those who need it and to pass along their words and send aid where we can. They do the talking. We provide the reach. Don’t be a saviour.
On that note, do you act in solidarity with the victims, or are you more interested in having a “legitimate” reason to get angry? Your investment should come primarily from compassion. Not hatred.
On that note again: are you interested in maintaining the narrative you understand, or are you willing to listen to views that may conflict with the story you’ve understood up until this point? The mark of good judgement (and good science, fyi) is to be able to reevaluate when faced with conflicting information. (The psychological concept is assimilation vs accommodation of new information, if you’d like to look into that.) You are not immune to propaganda just because you’re on the morally “right” side (and if you find yourself thinking this way, I would delicately suggest that you see if, perhaps, you are already caught up in it - “us vs them” mentality is a prime breeding ground for hateful sentiment and misinformation).
Last thing: sometimes you’re going to find things that are really hard, if not impossible to confirm. Exercise your own judgement. Sometimes it comes down to trust and compassion. That’s human nature. Sometimes we’ll get things wrong, or fall for misinformation, or learn more information later that changes things. That’s good. Being open to change is actually far more important than getting things “right”.
Final note: sometimes people get really caught up in trying to prove a claim that doesn’t really change the main situation. For instance, I don’t particularly care if there are “bad” individuals in a situation where an entire group of people are being murdered en masse. There are bad people everywhere, my dude. Ask yourself whether certain claims are meant to hinder discussion of what really matters in this moment. Keep your focus, keep your compassion, keep your ears open, and do your best not to get sucked into the outrage vortex. I know it’s hard, but you’re going to do so much more good for the people most in need if you remember that misinformation is how voices get swallowed up and lost - because their narratives are overtaken by someone else’s. Please, if nothing else, don’t be reactionary.
