#idk why but zombie aus really dont fuck w me#jk i know exactly why#the entire concept of a zombie au is so interesting because its basically a desecration of human life#and a great disrespect to those who have died and steals that ‘final rest’ from them#which for most media isnt what they focus on#they focus on the ‘killing’ of zombies- which is again a great violation of the dead#more than the moral debates and emotional impact and struggles of killing zombies#also it seems like media only depicts killing zombies having an emotional impact when its someone the subject is close to?#which alienates the audience from the concept of empathy and treating the objective value of human life as equal#something something killing them and disrespecting their rest only matters when it is personally relevant to you#(re: ^^ apart from the first death that is)#and its just so jarring to see this disregard for such an interesting aspect of zombie media#in lieu of concentrating on the survival and the apocalyptic setting#idk… zombies are always stirred from their rest against their will while other supernatural undead do so of their own will (kind of)#and thats SUCH an interesting background to the disrespect and emotional weight of zombies#and surviving with/despite them
