For years now, one of my friends has been telling me to watch Mob Psycho 100 because I’m “just like Reigan”. When my bff since kindergarten started recommending it to me, I asked her about it and she said, “You know, I wouldn’t have thought about it but yeah. That really fits.”
So now that the subbed version is on Netflix, I’ve finally been watching it and it’s been. An Experience.
Before watching mp100: haha con artist, twink, baby girl. Idk if she’s right, but it’s nice that she’s thinking of me.
After watching the first season: *sniff* I think that’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever said about me 😭 Also *deep sigh* yeaaaaaahhhhhh. I don’t want to see it, but I absolutely know what she’s talking about.

really tired of hearing abt the antisemitism simulator hogwarts blood libel or whatever. it is very easy to not play it. jews and reasonable gentiles alike are telling ppl not to. but like, antisemitic hate crimes have been increasing at an exponential rate in recent years, and things are only going to get worse. i am not surprised ppl think this game is acceptable. it is just the tippy top of the iceberg. there are loud and proud nazis in the u.s. congress. every jew i know is on edge, feeling as though they will soon have to flee america. to gentiles that care abt our people, i reiterate, pls do not play this game. it is the absolute least you can do. tell others not to. if they continue to do so, at least let your jewish friends know that person isn't safe. listen to your jewish friends. check in on them. read up on our struggle. it is a terrifying time to be a jew. we need all the love and support and safety and allegiance we can get.

Yes, it's true that many concepts and ideas found within New Age beliefs aren't "new." Many of them can be traced back hundreds, sometimes even thousands of years. The thing that makes New Age so insidious is what it does with them. Also? It just has a lot of shitty beliefs and attitudes packed into it, in general. New Age rips numerous people's spiritual beliefs out of context and tries to shoehorn them into a culturally Christian apocalyptic framework. New Age acts like it knows other people's own spiritual traditions better than they do. New Age promotes cultural colonialism and genocide by positing that people cannot advance and grow spiritually, or at the very least cannot "ascend to 5D," without adopting its beliefs and practices. New Age promotes anti-environmentalism by telling people that climate change is just part of the Earth's "shift to 5D." This no different from fundamentalist Christians saying that climate change is just God's punishment/a sign of the End Times. New Age discourages genuine scholarship and promotes conspiracy theories because genuine archaeological evidence, real ancient texts, etc. etc. constantly contradict their beliefs. This is because New Age is extremely literalist - Atlantis can't just be a metaphor to them; it must have really existed. New Age moralizes poverty, illness, and disability by blaming these things on having "a low vibrational frequency." This is no different from fundamentalist Christians telling people that bad things happen to them because they've made God angry. This post is not an exhaustive list of each and every issue with New Age. This is just a teeny tiny sampling of everything wrong with this movement. The tippy tippy top of the iceberg. If you want to learn more about what's wrong with it, I suggest you start researching the New Age to Alt Right pipeline. And if you think far right ideology is anything new in New Age? You haven't dug deep enough.

The notes on that canopy cover post are literally just....I really hope it's a bunch of children commenting because I'm getting fucking tired of explaining environmental racism not-even-100, especially to/around ppl that don't care to listen.
Maybe it's just having grown up in The Bronx and being always aware of just how sharply the lines of greenery get drawn (my home neighborhood is lush, trees everywhere--less now than before, but still very green--and not even a full two blocks away there's NOTHING outside of the park and the occasional courtyard planting). Like, The Bronx was historically touted as the greenest borough--later Brooklynites tried to take that claim but iirc The Bronx still has more greenspace and such. Only. If you live outside of some specific corridors it's really really not.
And those corridors are significant in size! And they're not all white majority. But there's clear patterns in where all this is concentrated. And then you ads the legacy of Robert Moses and NYCDOT's reclining commercial traffic routes to the mix and it's clear that even small scale (community based as opposed to municipal or state based, for example) projects would struggle to produce sustainable results (spoiler: saplings and young trees are incredibly vulnerable to pests and poor air quality).
Any re-greening projects NEED to be large-scale both in terms of the time frame they think on (decades at a time, as opposed to years) and in terms of what humans actually need out of those projects.
It's not enough to slap some adolescent trees in neighborhoods, or tear up half a basketball court for a community garden. It's going to have to be a lot of refitting existing buildings to home rooftop gardens, new/old water systems to feed pollinator patches, arborist and botanist crews to keep up care and educate the skeptics in the crowd. And those are just the tippy tip top of the iceberg of elements involved in successfully and sustainably making urban re-greening work.
None of that is defeatist. It's all entirely doable. There are plenty of farmers and arborists and botanists who WANT to work these projects. They WANT to be able to work out solutions to this.

Just the Tip
Now that Michael Cohen has been convicted, Trump—with characteristic chutzpah—claims that the transactions were a private matter unrelated to the election, even though another one of his lawyers, a former US Attorney for the SDNY and oh yeah Mayor of New York City, went on Fox and said the opposite. Donald Trump didn’t go to law school, but Rudy Giuliani did, and he ought to know better.
Giuliani later compared Trump’s offense to a parking violation, which is ironic for a guy who treated jaywalkers like ax murderers when he mayor. Mr. Former Tough Guy Prosecutor is suddenly very forgiving of criminal activity…..perhaps because he knows he is guilty of some himself and fears the reckoning that is coming.
So we can dispense with the idiocy and dishonesty of Trump’s defenders with one simple question:
If the payoffs were neither illegal nor related to the election nor any big deal, why did Trump lie about his knowledge of them, on camera, on Air Force One no less?
Having initially insisted that he didn’t have know about Cohen’s actions (using his patented Roy Cohn deny-deny-deny strategy), Trump has now been forced to deal with incontrovertible evidence that he not only knew about the payoffs, but directed them. We already have him on tape discussing the hush money with Cohen; this week it was revealed that our fearless leader was also the heretofore unnamed third party present when Cohen and National Enquirer boss David (wait for it) Pecker discussed this preemptive “catch-and-kill” strategy as far back as 2015.
Sometimes it’s not so good to have been in the room where it happened. (Aaron Burr: re-think your goals.)
Trump’s new position, as of this week, is that the payoffs weren’t illegal, and he didn’t order them anyway, or if he did he didn’t know they were illegal, and it was Cohen’s fault for following his orders when he shouldn’t have.
Got all that? Don’t worry, no one else did either. It was among Trump’s least convincing bullshit storms ever, which is saying something. For a famously bold liar, he is starting to sound a lot like Ralph Kramden.
But deceit is Trump’s go-to move—his only move, really—even if he is doing a worse-than-usual job of it in the face of mounting evidence implicating him. He is the scorpion carrying the Republican Party frog across the river, if a scorpion could have a combover. (That frog is named Pepe, by the way.)
The laughable GOP efforts to downplay this turn of events, on the hand, are just another sorry chapter in the Republican Party’s pathetic surrender to this contemptible grifter and its willful destruction of its own brand. But far from achieving the desired effect of stanching the bleeding, the Republicans’ continuing defense of Trump is nothing but slow-motion seppuku. For we all know—as does the GOP leadership—that this week’s revelations are hardly the last of Trump’s crimes that they are going to have address. On the contrary: hush money to porn stars and Playboy centerfolds is only the tippy top of a giant iceberg looming in the North Atlantic, directly in the path of the SS Individual-1.

Lara Adler – Tools For Teaching Toxicity
Environmental Toxins Are The BIGGEST MISSING PIECE of The Health & Wellness Puzzle
let’s fix this…
Do you want a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of how the toxins in our personal environment impact our health and wellness? (Of course you do!) By now, you’ve probably heard about chemicals like BPA in plastics (maybe you even have some of those BPA-Free water bottles…), the dangers of non-stick cookware, and even frightening levels of lead in drinking water. These are just the tippy-tip of the iceberg when it comes to what we’re exposed to. In fact, research studies implicating chemicals in a long list of diseases and health issues are making headlines every single day… headlines like these:
Because of news stories like these and public health issues like lead in drinking water, more and more people are aware and concerned about these toxins, yet lack the education or understanding around what to do. This is true for health-minded consumers and health practitioners alike.
Environmental toxins – chemicals we are exposed to in small amounts every day – are linked to every single health condition that people are struggling with every single day.
And so much more…
For the past 5 years I’ve taught nearly 1,000 health practitioners the in’s and out’s of these toxins. AND NOW I WANT TO TEACH YOU. Did you know that most physicians have an average of only 7 hours of training in environmental health issues during their entire academic career?
Practitioners like naturopaths, nutritionists, health coaches, nutritionists, etc have even less. Very few professional trainings or certifications teach their students about environmental toxins, leaving them inadequately prepared to properly support clients.
Couple this with all the mis-information and sensational “chicken little-sky-is-falling” headlines, and it’s no wonder people are confused (and staying up till 2am trying to figure it out.) We’re paying more attention to nutrition labels on our food so we can pick out unhealthy ingredients, but how many of us are actually looking at the ingredients on our other non- food products? And what about chemicals in products that don’t have ingredient labels?
Let’s fix this! I want to help you become informed, engaged, and empowered when it comes to navigating the world of environmental toxins and the products we buy and use every single day. I’ve devoted myself to untangling the complicated knot of environmental health for health & wellness professionals and health-enthusiasts around the world for 5 years, helping them gain clarity around the kinds of toxins that can dramatically effect health, develop the confidence needed to integrate this conversation into their work, and to distinguish themselves in their fields.
Here’s the Problem: Most health & wellness professionals, whether they’re health coaches, nutritionists, naturopaths, acupuncturists, or even fitness instructors, focus primarily on diet, exercise, emotional eating and/or stress management. These are absolutely essential areas to support clients around… But there’s still that missing piece. Toxins in our environment play a role in all the same health challenges that are inspiring people to seek out support from a professional in the first place. Not addressing toxins with them is a huge missed opportunity to help them get well, or reduce their risk of chronic disease.
If you’re like most wellness professionals, you: Intuitively know that chemicals are contributing to disease and illness, but don’t feel like you know enough about them to speak confidently to your audience Want to educate and empower your clients to make better choices for their health, but get tongue tied when it comes to “talking toxins” Aren’t sure what the most important and most relevant toxins are to the issues your clients are having Don’t know where to look for sound, science based and reliable sources of information about toxins and health (and are skeptical of some of the big health blogs out there) Are looking for ways to set your practice apart from the tens of thousands of other wellness pro’s out there who don’t address toxins at all Want your cleanse or detox program to stand out, and have considered addressing toxins, but aren’t sure how to much to share Not A Practitioner? Come Nerd Out With Us… Even if you’re not a health practitioner, you may still be the type of person who takes their own health & wellness very, very seriously. Many of my clients have joined my classes so they could learn how to better navigate toxins in consumer products with the aim of safeguarding their, and their family’s health. I call these people “health enthusiasts” or “health nerds” – and you know who you are: You’ve likely been eating organic foods for a while and you drink green smoothies and bone broth (and you’ve been doing it since before it was cool!). You’re someone who’s already dialed in the nutrition and fitness aspects of your life, and you’re starting to question the safety of your household cleaners, and personal care products… You’re the health nut among your friends – the one everyone asks for advice from, who’s always on top of emerging trends and discoveries in the health & wellness world, yet the toxins piece is one you’ve not explored
Are You A Product Consultant? The rise of direct sales products that market themselves as non-toxic, or alternatives to conventional approaches to wellness (like essential oils), means that more and more people are out there having conversations about toxins in consumer products. But what if you’re not really clear on how these toxins really effect us? It’s much easier to promote and sell the product(s) you represent when you’re able to articulate clearly why conventional products aren’t a safe or healthy choice. No more vague, fuzzy statements like “oh, those other products are sooooo toxic.” When you know what you’re talking about, you become more articulate, more confident and a better educator. Many of my clients aren’t health practitioners, but they’re still talking to and engaging with people on a daily basis through the products they consult for. Being educated and informed about environmental toxins will absolutely make you a more powerful, engaging sales consultant. Get other products by Lara Adler right now!
Regardless of whether you’re a practitioner, a health enthusiast, or a product consultant (or all three), learning about environmental toxins is the “final frontier” in your education. Chemicals in our daily lives are deeply connected to myriad health issues that people are struggling with and actively seeking support around – whether through a health practitioner, or on their own. Toxins are a huge missing piece of the health & wellness puzzle that professionals and health enthusiasts alike are eager to understand. That’s why I created Tools For Teaching Toxicity When I started researching environmental health issues, there were no good resources or programs out there to make it easy. I spent years diving into the mountains of complicated research, teaching myself how to understand the science and how to translate it into language that was clear, concise, and powerful. This is what I want to share with you. Tools for Teaching Toxicity is a self-paced online program designed to increase your fluency and understanding of environmental toxins so you can better support your clients, and your own health.
The Tools course is for you if you… Want your wellness practice to stand out from the crowd by being able to support your clients in ways that most practitioners can’t. Are overwhelmed by the topic of environmental toxins how they relate to health issues, and want the confidence to be able to speak powerfully about them Currently get anxious when people ask you about toxins, and tongue tied when you try to respond. Are a mom who’s eager to learn what are the safest products for you and your family and doesn’t want to stay up until midnight trying to figure it out. Know your clients are worried about the effect toxins may have on their health, but don’t feel comfortable broaching the subject because you don’t know what to say Want to be on the leading edge of the health conversation, and capitalize on the growing awareness about environmental health issues Know that addressing chemical toxins is essential for your client’s health, but aren’t sure where to start or what safer alternatives to recommend Are not sure what to say when objections come up about organics, canned foods, or natural cleaning products with clients, friends, or family Want to “up your health game” and move beyond green smoothies, bone broth and detoxes and fully step into a healthy, green, non-toxic lifestyle You’re tired of saying “I don’t know” or “I’m not sure” when asked about which are the best and safest products to use. Are looking for ways to better position the natural, non-toxic products you represent by learning how to talk about conventional products with more education and credibility Want clarity around which things you legitimately should worry about (and address), and which ones you don’t need to stress about. What to be a more powerful and convincing speaker when talking about the non-toxic skincare lines or essential oils you represent Want to know that you’re reducing exposure to toxins linked to chronic disease, to better protect yourself and your family Here’s What We’ll Cover Together In This Course: This course is designed to help you address the most common and most important toxins in your home, starting with the ones that are easiest (and least overwhelming) to address. We’ll look at: Intro To Environmental Toxins
