Hey no no no, throwing our arms up and giving up is absolutely not what we are gonna do. We gotta persist in the face of adversity because I very seriously believe there is a chance for wenclair. The way I see it Hunter Doohan's ig story from that WednesGay event was not only an act of allyship but also a message sent to us loud and clear: There IS in fact something to fight for.

It's clear now that the cast members are fully aware of the wenclair shipping and the fact that the relationship has a dedicated fanbase and a huge following which has been only growing in numbers and contributions. Wenclair had an established fandom based on promotional photos, sneak peeks and teasers MONTHS before the show's premiere which is absolutely insane. The amount of incredible fanfiction on ao3 (147 as of right now!, madness really), the influx of beautiful fanart, the level of engagement on both twitter, instagram, tumblr, tiktok are only increasing as the show's premiere draws closer. We are making SO MUCH NOISE ABOUT WENCLAIR that it's impossible to ignore it. I am absolutely certain that it didn't go unnoticed by the creators either, they too must be aware of it. So we gotta keep going, keep supporting this relationship and loudly so! I hope we all agree that Wenclair ain't happening in the first season because that would be too soon, too rushed, too out of character for both of them. You simply can't go from Wednesday swearing off on love to her falling in love anyway in the span of 8 episodes. Enid has her own fair share of issues too she will be dealing with throughout the season which need to be addressed and taken care of. Oh and there's also a serial killer on the loose imposing grave danger on them. The investigation the girls are throwing themselves into will also be the most perfect opportunity for them to learn about each other, to create a bond and to grow a friendship. That's what I'm asking from this season above all, for the girls to be friends by the end of it. Based on what little we know at the moment I think it's safe to assume that Wednesday has no real friends. She sure as hell didn't make any in all her previous schools she was expelled from and since she ain't keen on being social in the first place I have a difficult time imagining her having a go at gaining friendships in other ways. Whatever friends she has (if she has..) is from her family's friend circle but not her own. This must change. So I want her to learn how to make friends starting with Enid and not only that but I want them to be best friends by the season finale. All those difficulties, threats, misunderstandings to give way to them sticking with each other, having each other's back, paying attention and opening up to the other, going through hardships together but never giving up because they feel the other is worth it. If they have that strong of a bond, that friendship Wednesday has never experienced before, then something could very well stem from it in the following seasons. Maybe this is a long shot, but I'm choosing to believe.

Btw these Ajax rumors are absolute bull in my humble opinion cause the leaker said a bunch of contradicting shit in the same breath which makes them untrustworthy in my eyes. We know Enid is a social butterfly, so she's popular enough to have a wide circle of friends and Ajax could very well be one of them. Just because she smiled at him for a few seconds it doesn't have to mean she's into him! A girl smiling at a guy friend should be considered normal without anyone pointing it out or calling it flirty or whatever. Maybe it was a sign of challenge from Enid, telling him that her team was gonna wipe the floor with Ajax's without saying a word. So let's not be reactionary now and wait to see what actually happens instead before we rile ourselves up for nothing.

If this rumor ends up true by any chance (which I must stress I don't believe it will) then it's still not the end of the world. And it doesn't neccessarily have to mean Enid is straight. She could be very much on the path to realize she's into both girl and boys, so bisexual. Or that she doesn't even have those feelings she'd thought she had for Ajax, it was just confusion, desperation, an attempt at trying to quench her attraction to her best friend because those feelings scared her but they proved to be far too powerful to simply ignore even if by admitting them or acting on them she knows she runs the risk of possibly ruining her friendship with Wednesday. But maybe she won't, maybe just maybe her feelings are reciprocated. Oh there are sooo many ways Wenclair can be canon.. and oh fuck it, call me a fool, a clown even, but I believe that it's gonna be.

If that leak is true and Enid gets with Ajax then im out, im deleting everything about this show, i don't even care about willa getting with a boy cause lets be honest we kinda expected that, but i wont stand for them making Enid straight, im tired of that bullshit
