...You know, I think a lot of the problem is how the fandom treats characters, thus making other people dislike the characters despite the fact that their canonical portrayals are fine. Like, you may not have liked them but didn't care enough to dislike until the stans started lionizing them beyond reason or whatever. Or it's the stans of said characters being awful. Or both. Probably both. And I get it, I really do. It's irrational, but we're not Vulcans here, y'know? No one has EVERYTHING figured out. Anyways the point is fandoms are awful on large doses, the RWBY fandom especially. The RWBY fandom would be an interesting case study if it wasn't so damn infuriating.
