i think a lot of y’all grew up in conservative families and unlearned the outright bigotry but didn’t unlearn the ideology. because you’ll say something that sounds woke on the surface but actually quite conservative, especially when it has to do with sex and sexuality.

#learn about the hays code learn about scientific racism and the birth of sexology learn about where the word degenerate came from #and you'll realize that a lot of stuff you say is actually rooted in a lot of systematic oppression!#we cant truly avoid this - even words like 'normal' originated with ableism and homophobia...but we can be more aware #and before anyone says anything about 'i cant help it if my parents were racist' well I CANT HELP IT that my mom isnt white #and people like your parents have always treated her like shit. it's not up to us to forgive that. it's up to you to fix it #its up to ALL of us to fix systemic bias and oppression #and that means doing more than the bare minimum instead of infilerating leftist spaces with conservative and terf rhetoric #maven rambles
