Today, I'm asking students the real big questions on campus in this Clive Update:

Will you go to prom? 🥺🕺💃

[It's a short video. "Clive", who's added a bowtie to his usual student uniform getup and actually buttoned it all the way up, is holding two signs. One says "ORANGE you going to prom?" and the other says "It'd be GRAPE to see you at prom". Both painted with their respective fruits and far too much glitter.

The camera shakily zooms in on Clive as he puts on some terrible old-man impression of that pleading emoji. If he weren't holding two giant, gaudy signs, you feel like he'd be tapping his fingers together.

"Hi there, students. I wanted to ask you something really important... actually, I'm a bit nervous, sorry... but... would you come to prom? With all of your fellow students?"

The video cuts to some hallway footage of Clive fake prom-posing to several random students. Or at least mostly random.

"Hey. We need to talk."

"Uh, um... I swear, that wasn't me in the crater..."

"What? ...We'll talk about that later. But for now... I need to ask you something very important. Are you coming to prom? All of the cool kids are going to be there!"

"Ohhhhh. YepdefinitelyseeyouClivebye!!!"

The next student has pale blond hair and blue eyes.

"So, like, it's time to spill the tea. Are you going to prom?!"

"Goodness me, a promenade?! I must attend! Now if you shall excuse me, I must cloak mineself in the proper attire for this honored gathering..."

The last student appears perfectly average. Brown hair, plain school uniform...

"My bestie! Long time no see! Now, listen, I know I've asked a lot of favors from you, but I have to know... will you go to prom...?"

"...Can I bring [inaudible]raidon?"

"...We don't have the sandwich budget."

"...Then no."

The video then returns to Clive in the Schoolyard.

"And there you have it folks! Prom! Just a week away! And a little longer. Don't forget to vote for your prom theme soon!"]
