Oh no people's hatred of TikTok is now spilling over into hating people who like to read. Wasn't it enough to hate neurodivergent people??
#like I don't engage with tiktok criticism because it'll inevitably claim 'tiktok is ruining attention spans'#thus implying having a short attention span is bad#which uhhh hurts people who already had short attention spans before tiktok existed#but now you also can't read books without being insulted and this being treated as some great contradiction#newsflash but I can watch a 3 hour youtube video and then a 20 minute youtube video and then an 8 hour youtube video#and that doesn't make my enjoyment of videos contradictory lol#I don't go on tiktok anymore because I realized I need longer content because constantly refocusing my attention#is really fucking exhausting
