my pathologic pyre au from a few months ago, it was really fun to figure out and all because I wanted them to be in the same triumvirate and having to find a singular symbol and colour scheme for all three of them was a bit difficult.
Lore-wise Artemy is a demon who got sent by his father to the Downside to study 10 years ago, Clara got sent for having weird girl syndrome just like the vagabond/hj, and Daniil is a reader because of course he would be, imagine being able to read smh
#I'd like to believe that both artemy and daniil would try to get clara out first#and that daniil would teach her how to read#the group mechanics would be really fun though#makes the pathologic healers play wizard sports#pathologic#pyre#daniil dankovsky#artemy burakh#clara pathologic#they would all hate eachother though#and they're stuck in a wagon for a *while*#more rage for the trials#my art

tell me some random healer headcanons you have
clara has trichotilomania. she sleeps with windows open and doesn’t mind that bugs get in her room. the first thing she teaches herself how to do once the plague is over is bake bread, so she can do something with her hands that isn’t tied to a miracle. the loaf comes out uneven, uncooked in the middle and burnt at the end, but she doesn’t care, she eats it anyway. eventually decides her secondary pronouns are it/its/itself. it likes to make up ghost stories to scare people but they often have bizarre twists in them that become more unsettling than scary. it sometimes wakes up in the middle of the nights to wash its hands, and no one says anything about how clean and chapped its skin is.
once artemy has convinced rubin not to leave with the army, rubin decides to help set the theatre back into original form because it feels rude just to leave it disheveled. mark watches him curiously the entire time and rubin gets the feeling mark is reading something more into his actions. he’s scared of rats and mice and grief likes to drive him crazy sticky jerboas into his pockets. he shaved his head to be more like isidor and isn’t sure what to do with himself once the hero worship has started to fade and artemy’s teaching him. he spends more time in his apartment than he used to, but he doesn’t sleep any more than he normally does. rubin doesn’t have a gender.
daniil prefers brushing his hair over combing it, but his hair gets frizzy in the humidity and he hates for people to see it. once he’s descided to stay in town, he goes back to collecting bugs. sometiems he stands out in the pouring rain and forgets what he was doing because he’s just grounding himself. when he dreams, he still sees the polyhedron. he’s had his nose broken in fights three times. he talks in his sleep. he has a decent poker face, but still loses anyway because he’s not good at reading other peoples’ expressions. he knows how to dance but rarely does. he had set of lab rats at thanatica he named after the musketeers, but rarely experimented with them. they were more like pets.
artemy got a concussion from horsing around with grief and rubin as a kid. isidor was very upset and made him promise not to do it again, knowing full well that artemy would anyway. he bought seeds in the capital once to take home with him to plant new flowers, but lost them on the way back. ersher taught him how to swim when he was eight. he likes activities that can keep his hands busy - i’ve seen a couple of people say knitting or crocheting, but i’m thinking sculpting. he’s frequently set peoples’ fingers and pierced their ears. he didn’t have pets growing up, and doens’t know the first thing about owning a dog, but he wants murky to have the life he wanted as a kid, so they learn together.

Are all ‘Professional’ Mediums the Real Deal?
http://ift.tt/2DzckDo
People from all backgrounds and life paths seek out mediumship as an experience worth having. But mostly, the people who sit with mediums to hear from a loved one in spirit are there because they are searching for a way to cope with grief; they want to know their loved one is okay, and they have messages they’d like to send and receive. That being said, it goes hand-in-hand then that people who sit with mediums can often be in an incredibly vulnerable state.
This reality about why most people seek out a medium is what substantiates the legitimate need to study and practice mediumship extensively before going out into this world as a professional medium. Being the intermediary between the worlds is very rarely cut and dry. It takes a lot of learning and a lot of experience to represent spirit people with truth, accuracy, skill, and compassion.
These days it seems there are many mediums who have taken a few weeks of classes and then hang a shingle as ‘professional’. Sadly, what we often see as a result is weak mediumship, and we also see the nature of spirit and the soul journey misrepresented to the general public. And in all cases, there is a potentially damaging effect taking place.
If someone wanted to become an accountant, or a counsellor, or an electrician, they would have to train and learn and practice in order to be qualified and good at it, right? Why should it be any different for a professional Spiritual Medium? Well, it shouldn’t be.
Most experienced mediums will tell you these days that there are many out there who skip development circles and core teachings, which are absolutely necessary in becoming a well-skilled, heart-centred practitioner. The title “Medium” has become quite coveted with the advent of more mainstream television shows demonstrating mediumship. So flashy in fact that too many people are bypassing the necessary steps required to become a good medium!
The same reality applies to teaching the practice mediumship. What we also now see quite often is ill-trained, ill-experienced mediums teaching others from a shallow well, and the result we see from this dynamic is more of the same; ill-experienced and ill-trained mediums who have gone out into the world as professionals long before they should have. As a professional, you have to take great care of the souls, here and on the other side sometimes, who come to see you when they are feeling broken. By and large, a few weeks or months of classes does not bring one far enough on the spiritual or soul journey to authentically be in service to others in a way that acknowledges the need for such a high level of care, nor does it develop the capacity to provide it.
A woman recently wrote to me and said that she’d been to an inexperienced, untrained medium’s live platform event. The ordeal was so poor it led her into a place of total disbelief that we can communicate with spirits at all. There is a price to be paid on a grander scale by hanging a shingle too soon. People’s lives and hearts are at stake – not just those of the people who witness the poor demonstrations, but those of the authentic, legitimate mediums who have made it their life’s work to bridge the gap, bringing healing to this world and the next.
Mediumship is a sacred act, and not honouring that as truth in a mediumship practice can be called egocentric. The centre of the story in compassionate, heart-based service must be the other, not the self. Meaning, becoming a professional without having built the bridges in one’s own soul development makes the story more about what the medium wants to accomplish as an individual, and not necessarily what others need. More succinctly, serving without learning is self-serving…
So, I have some TIPS for those who have yet to sit with a medium but would like to, or who would like to learn mediumship for themselves:
Make sure you vet people before paying to see them. Look for published testimonials that are clearly unpaid (many inexperienced mediums will trade a free service in order to receive a trumped up, sensationalized testimonial from someone). Best of all though, would be to get a referral from someone you know and trust. Remember: all mediums start out somewhere, so experience as a professional doesn’t HAVE to be vast in order for the medium to be good at what they do. However, if you are exchanging dollars for a service, best to know that someone is the real deal – either by reading what others have to say, or following your heart (and gut)…
It’s a good idea to try having many mediumship experiences so you can discern between good, strong mediumship, and weak demonstrations that don’t prove very much.
When looking for a spiritual mentor or teacher, look for experience. A person who has only had a relatively short time in mediumship practice simply has not had the quantity and likely not the quality of readings from which to guide you in knowledgeable way. So much of what is learned in advanced practice and finessing the practice of mediumship happens through sheer practice and volume of professional sittings. If someone doesn’t have vast experience, their ability to teach YOU will be limited by their own insubstantial experience.
Depending on what you are hoping to experience by sitting with a medium (e.g., just an interest you have, or a profound opportunity to connect with a loved one in spirit, etc.), you could even have an encounter that causes emotional harm. I can’t tell you how many times in my practice I’ve had someone sit with me and say something like, “another Medium told me my loved one must be stuck somewhere and that’s why they couldn’t get a lot of information from them…”. “Is that true – are they okay? I’m worried.” Oh boy.
Experiences that leave one disempowered or fearful are almost always chock-full of a medium’s lack of skill, or compassion, or understanding – or all three. Sitting with or learning from a reputable medium is one of the safest ways to avoid a potential encounter like this.
So, best advice is to do your homework when selecting a practitioner or a teacher, and, most importantly, ask your heart if the person you’re considering is the right fit for you at this time.
There are so many wonderfully-talented and legitimate mediums out there. But not everyone working as a professional has the background and experience to really, actually, help you.

OTG Liveposting- The Sydney Opera House
Master Post- https://jashasedai.tumblr.com/post/158649570028/on-the-grid
The Redbull team- Alondra (matched to Fernando Alonso) and Pilot (matched to Max Verstappen) have a sponsorship event at the Sydney Opera House.
The Sydney Opera House was an iconic place in Australia, not in Mebourne, but when the sponsors discovered Alondra loved music, they flew Redbull out for a tour.
"The arched shapes of the buildings were designed to resemble the sails of ships," the tourguide told them. He led them along the walk outside the building. Fernando and Max nodded as they translated this to Pilot and Alondra.
"I don't know how to sign ships," Max told Fernando.
[Yachts, like in the harbor at Monaco,] Fernando told them.
Both Stigs turned their head sideways and looked at the peaks and nodded.
"You must raise your voice, high, high, high, like the bird," The performer told Pilot. He sang a beautifully high note, eyes closing in bliss at the perfect tone. The two of them were sitting in the dressing room surrounded by costumes and makeup and casually interested other actors.
Pilot couldn't understand the words, but the man was wonderfully expressive with his body language and it was quite clear what he wanted. Pilot knew he had never been much of a singer, but he closed his eyes and tried to make the noise with his voice. It was not accurate.
"Work started on the building in 1959," the tourguide told his remaining audience. They walked through the Concert Hall. Fernando had been to many grand buildings and wasn't so impressed with this one in particular. The tour was filled with facts, but the height of the sails and how many tiles were in them was not information that filled him with awe. The buildings themselves were lovely, but he wasn't gaping around in wonder.
Max ran a hand over the soft fabric of the seats when the tourguide stopped to tell them how many people could sit in this room.
"No, no, like this," A woman said, touching her own throat, and gesturing [breathe,] without knowing it was a gesture. She sang a note as well.
The first performer nodded.
Pilot watched in fascination. He tightened his hands on his knees and shifted his seat on the prop crate. He controlled his breathing and sang. His voice was different than theirs, but he had heard Stigs sing the same notes as humans, before.
"You are flat," Another woman told him. She same over and sang a note that sounded different than the first two. Pilot sang it back identically- flat.
"Is there somewhere to eat?" Max asked.
"Why yes, there are three restaurants..." The tourguide started. He talked about them as they walked through high ceilinged, shining corridors. Fernando could see Max's excitment building. He remembered the hunger he felt as a constant, driving force, as a teenager. Maybe easier than most, because Alondra had kept feeling it long after Fernando had stopped, the age difference between them making itself felt.
Max's disappointment was palpable, when their next stop, instead of one of the restuarants, was another auditorium.
Racing Drivers and teenagers, Fernando reflected, could never get enough to eat.
Pilot watched the actors with a big smile. They were easier to understand, even with their indecipherable noises, than any humans he'd ever met. It was as though their meanings were always just out of reach. They moved with intent, though. They would be very fluent if they learned to gesture. He watched them argue about him.
Every human in the room was crowded around him, trying to figure out how to get him to make the right noises. This was a lot of fun. Everyone was so friendly, wanting him to sing to them. He was getting much better.
Max and Pilot were sitting in the box, waiting for the play to begin. Watching the performance was part of the event, and they had each been allowed a guest. Fernando and Alondra, invited Rabbit and Mark- who was pleased to share his national landmarks. Max had expected Pilot to invite Tumba. Instead he invited Daniil, necessitating that Max invite Tumba so as not to break up the set. The guests were seated behind the Redbull team, for filming purposes, and Pilot was leaned over his seat telling Tumba how he'd spent the day having voice lessons from the cast.
Fernando came into the box and sat in the seat on the end, leaving a space. He was dressed neatly in a tuxedo, as were the rest of them. Rabbit's and Tumba's had dark blue pocket squares, and Pilot's had red.
"Where is Alondra?" Max asked him. His pocket square was black, like the rest of the humans'.
He shook his head. "The crew wanted to film one more shot with him."
"I haven't seen him all day."
He shrugged in response, "He tells me he is fine, is working."
"Working?" Mark asked. "Without you? Who was translating?
Fernando shrugged.
"The Sydney Opera House welcomes you to our production of Richard III will begin momentarily. In honor of some special guests, we have arranged a performance of the Duet of Doge and Amelia from Verdi's Simon Boccanegra," a voice announced.
"Look at the subtitles," Max exclaimed, pointing at a screen to the side of the stage with the translation in English along the bottom. The main part of the screen was taken up with an image of a Tuxedo wearing Daniil translating the words into Stig gestures. "So THAT'S where YOU'VE been all day." Max pointed at Daniil, who grinned.
The lights came down, the curtain rose. On the stage was a woman and an older male. The music began. The woman turned and sang. After a moment the male turned around. The song was about a father and daughter, reunited after thinking they'd lost one another forever. He sang with a deep voice, full of love, full of the ache of a father who'd lost his child.
His voice hit every note perfectly, but he never sang a word. He sang like a perfectly tuned engine.
As the last note faded away, the audience stood and applauded.
Alondra bowed.
Everyone clapped Fernando on the back. He was BEAMING. "Look at the subtitles now," he laughed.
Daniil laughed in anticipation of the joke.
The subtitles read "When performance matters... it has to be powertec."
[That was where he was all day?] Pilot asked, [I was having voice lessons and he was not and he got to sing everyone a song.]
[Keep up your voice lessons and you might get to sing next time,] Tumba told him.
[Alondra will teach you. Even the car was a better singer than Fizz when they started, but he's very good, now,] Rabbit told Pilot.

Block for ask meme
Lara for the same meme aswell
💗
block
Sexuality Headcanon: i think he thought he was straight for the longest time but then when he got older he realized he's actually also into men. i'll expand on that in the random hc section<3
Gender Headcanon: oh he's cis. but i think after he gets out of the army he's relatively gender nonconforming. like he's just had it with strict rules and wants to play around a little with things and he'll be like that guy who wears pencil skirts and heels to work.
A ship I have with said character: i do like daniil/block i think it's just good food. i love the idea of block being a little stupid over daniil especially since it drives clara crazy that she's just like "ugh HIM?!"
A BROTP I have with said character: i know we don't see them interact but i would love to see him having a chat with rubin. i wanna see what goes on between those two bc they're both so dedicated to the job. and rubin was / wanted to be a soldier (depending on the game we're talking about)
A NOTP I have with said character: i'm not super into block/lara. like maybe if you made it a huge 100k slowburn enemies to lovers i could see it but for anything shorter i'm just not sold. though i could totally see block being into a girl that could kick his ass.
A random headcanon: okay so my official personal block sexuality headcanon is like this: he knew daniil when they were both kids, like maybe met him through his own father being in the military and them being at some military get-together. and this was daniil before he came out so block is like smitten with this weird "girl" he knows. and then like they grow up and daniil transitions while in the capital and they meet again in the town and those feelings are still there so oops! block is bi actually. he's just as attracted to daniil now as he was before. sometimes you learn things about yourself! all it takes is one man.
General Opinion over said character: i think he's one of the flatter characters in classic. which is like, okay so i can play around with him a bit, but i'd like to see them expand on him more in p2. like they don't have to and certainly it would be a little weird for them to expand block and not aglaya but i'm still holding out hope that aglaya will have a return to form in bachelor or changling route of p2. so yeah. he's just a boring little dude i like playing with.
lara
Sexuality Headcanon: she's bi but she has a heavy preference for women bc i mean c'mon. those gorkhon women. yulia? eva? how can you compete with that?
Gender Headcanon: i like butch lara. like transmasc butch lara. she lives in my head rent free and rides a motorcycle.
A ship I have with said character: i really like yulia/lara but my personal guilty pleasure ot3 is grief/rubin/lara. i just think it's funny if artemy's friends all started dating each other while he was away studying in the capital and just didn't bother to tell him when he got back. artemy's rsd is gonna be through the roof.
A BROTP I have with said character: i like her friendship with artemy a lot. maybe they tried dating as teens and it just did not work out at all because sometimes friends just should not date! but i think it made them closer as friends and now they can kinda laugh and joke about it. everyone else still thinks they should get married and they're like "ew. no offense but ew."
A NOTP I have with said character: as mentioned above i'm not real into block/lara.
A random headcanon: she's a voracious reader! in an ideal au this is how she gets to know yulia and gets together with her. she's just read everything in that library. she's a little shy to share her opinions at first but yulia goads her into it by intentionally provoking her. it turns out to be good for her because it gets her more active and social... leads her to starting a book club (and then she gets to meet eva like that) and eventually using it to teach literature and writing to the kids in the town.
General Opinion over said character: i like her! i'm glad that p2 expanded on her because it felt like they kinda missed some potential with her in classic. i really hope that changling route of p2 gives us even more becuase it came out of nowhere for me when in classic changeling route when clara asks her why she's a humble and she's just like "i'm incompetent" like what. what on earth? i mean that's funny but it's also just weird. yeah<3
send me a character!
