It is kind of difficult to say, because like you said, many of them like Xavi Simons or Marc Guiu are making these decisions when they’re teenagers. So it’s difficult to really say whether or not they should be judged for those decisions once they’re older, but at the same time we shouldn’t be accepting players who obviously only want to come back because it suits them. Piqué left for Man Utd and he came back and established himself as a Barça legend, so I suppose it’s kind of a case by case sort of thing. It’s hard to say how Marc Guiu’s career at Chelsea will turn out because he just joined them, but I wouldn’t want Xavi Simons back because it would definitely feel like he only came back because things didn’t turn out the way he wanted them to in his career. He left Barça for PSG and has had a less than minimal impact on PSG, he’s undoubtedly talented but at this point it seems like even he’s beginning to realize his talent is being wasted at PSG what with the way he’s sucking up to other big clubs.

I totally understand what you're saying. I'd hate for us to become some sort of safety net for them to fall on after they fail somewhere else.
