will never understand the idea that “stories that never give concrete answers and only serve to influence theories” inherently means that a story is lazy and cant commit/its only a cop out. like, sure it CAN be that sometimes but the idea of creating a piece of art that exists solely to drive the creativity and passion of people and create a community full of interpretation and discussion? that makes me feel soft

#watched a 2 hour vid on dhmis in the last hour while playing diamond and man.#echoed voice #''theory baiting'' as an insult towards shows is like. idk sorta on the same level as ''you dont care abt themes and characters?'' to me #and tbf literally the only people ive seen say this are l!ly orch@rd and her stans but is also spreading a little bc of her #but the idea that a show that inspires this is inherently bad and fans who get into theorizing are ''missing the point of the show-#and cant handle a story for what it is'' is just so restrictive and boring to me. how dare ppl engage w media in a way that makes em happy #how dare people... think more than surface level thoughts abt specific episodes they watch #(ok mostly i also just saw a LO comment earlier that annoyed me sdklfjsdlkfjslkfjsdlkfs)
