Okay so it turns out the sobbing teenager we had been following around for the ENTIRE FILM SO FAR, who I had accepted to be the main character, is actually pretty irrelevant because she is dead now. Um. Who is this film even about? What is this film even about? I've never had this problem before with this franchise. It's like someone just wrote the basic plot beats that happen every film down and no one bothered to fill in the details so none of it actually flows or makes sense.

#oh and theyre stating for definite rules of how the bad guy works despite only just finding out anything about him #because these arent characters they are exposition machines designed to spoonfeed me a dumbed down version of the same plot ive already seen #SEVEN FUCKING TIMES ALREADY #who is this film for? genuinely?#i dont think a newbie to the series would really understand whats happening or why #and someone whos already seen the rest wont enjoy it because its just a shittier version of every other film so far #im mad about this #my hours of watching (while painful) have endeared me to the series and i hate to see it gutted and declawed for #an uninspired gritty reboot #this is my joker arc #pinky’s personal journal
