is sarumi toxic?? genuine question, i dont know if its just the way certain fanmanga that ive read portrays their relationship. i love the ship with my whole heart, dont get me wrong. ive read lost small world, finished rok and season 1 (halfway through season 2). consuming all kinds of k stuff, i personally dont see it toxic as certain people do (knowing that theyve already reconciled). im super confused on who to believe so here i am asking you
I will say to start that I’m not exactly a neutral third party here, even with me being a filthy multishipper Sarumi is still my ‘main’ ship. That said, I personally don’t consider them to be toxic as a ship. There are definitely elements of their relationship as presented that are not good and could certainly lead to toxicity, but that’s also pretty understandable considering Fushimi as a character is not a healthy person and isn’t equipped to deal with relationships in a healthy way. If we look at, say, only season one Sarumi is a vacuum there’s certainly room to call it toxic, with the way Fushimi interacts with Yata by drawing out all his negative feelings and deliberately goading him into physical violence, but thankfully there’s a lot more to their relationship than episode five of season one.
When you consider the side materials the series is pretty clear that Fushimi’s actions stem from him being an abused and neglected child who clung to the one person who ever showed him affection and who has no idea how to handle things that other people would consider easy. When they join Homra and Fushimi doesn’t feel like he fits in he starts to assume a lot of things, that Yata’s leaving him behind, that he’s going to be rejected, because up until he met Yata Fushimi’s entire life has been him being rejected by the world around him and rejecting the world in turn because it’s his only method of coping. When he burns his Homra tattoo in front of Yata it’s a move intended to hurt them both, because the only way Fushimi knows of to break something that he loves is to do it spectacularly — Fushimi himself can’t break what he cares about so he takes on the persona of the person who could, of the guy who can flawlessly destroy what Fushimi Saruhiko loves every time. Fushimi is so afraid of losing his precious friendship with Yata that he feels like he has to be the one to break it first in order to save himself the pain of losing it. This is a toxic mindset but also a totally understandable one in the context of Fushimi’s character.
Obviously Fushimi’s way of dealing with his emotions is not healthy but he’s not a healthy person, that’s well established. Are a lot of Fushimi’s problems of his own making? Very much so. Does he really owe Yata an apology for being a dick all this time? Also yes. But Fushimi’s actions are also very understandable due to his upbringing, and Yata himself says that Fushimi is trying to be better — “You have a sense of guilt.” Fushimi’s relationship with Niki is a toxic one because Niki is abusing him and literally doesn’t care about the trauma he’s inflicting on his kid. Fushimi on the other hand is well aware of what he’s inflicting and tries very hard not to care, while still not being able to let go of Yata and still occasionally letting his mask slip (how he has difficulty dealing with a grieving Yata post-S1 for example, and how he still helps Yata in Missing Kings) and ultimately, Fushimi knows what he did was wrong and he and Yata start to reconcile. They aren’t a perfect pure and unproblematic uwu ship but I don’t consider them to be toxic just because Fushimi dared to be mentally ill, the Sarumi I ship isn’t the one where they hate each other and where Fushimi’s still constantly cruel to Yata, it’s the one where they make up and recognize their mistakes and Fushimi starts on a healing path that includes recognizing what he did to Yata and in his own fumbling way trying not to do it again even though it’s difficult for him. (And also frankly if someone does like the toxic version of them go for it, you do you. I really hate how people tend to throw around the word ‘toxic’ as some kind of forbidden brand, like if a ship is not perfect and healthy and wondrous it shouldn’t be shipped. Ship your fictional characters any way you want, as long as you tag things properly! Be free of the need to be judged!)
#sarumi#Talking K#let ships be toxic let ships be health let them be whatever you want them to be#free yourself from the confinement of caring what others think and indulge yourself!#I hate when people use 'it's toxic' when what they mean is 'I personally dislike this ship'#trying to somehow discredit the ship so disliking it makes them morally superior#it doesn't#if you dislike a ship bc it's not your thing own that shit don't try and act like it makes you a better person#anyway that's my rant for the day ship whatever you want be free to live laugh love Fushimi ships specifically

[IMPRESSION, OTHER NOTES]
· The image color is "young grass color".
· Cheeky, a high-spec gamer player.
· Small body power system.
[POSITION, OBJECTIVES]
Born the only son of a wealthy family, he grew up with intense slavery and excessive interference from his parents, especially his mother. He knew that even his best friend, whom he had loved, was designed by his parents and escaped from slavery.
He was drawn to "Jungle", where he could gain mysterious power by earning points and increasing ranks in missions, and he was able to win and climb to the top. By participating in the plan, he is attracted to Nagare, who creates an interesting game in this world, where each person creates a world where he can live on his own.
He really likes Nagare, the Green King, but he believes that he is more of a friend than a King.
[PERSONALITY, CONDUCT]
Cheeky boy. Standing position as Tsukkomi in the "Green Clan".
For Sukuna who left his house, the place called "Jungle" was the only welcoming place where he was not unnecessarily interfered with, but never alone.
For Sukuna, who was raised under parental control, the world defended by Nagare, in which all human beings become "kings" and live with their own power and responsibility, is an ideal world, and to realize, decided to bet. However, the stance is that he is basically doing his best to achieve his most cherished wishes, rather than enjoying the game Nagare is organizing into.
For Sukuna, Nagare was a fun person and friend who thinks and achieves great things, and he felt that he had the same dream next to him.
[FATE, ENDING]
Nagare collapsed in the final battle along with Iwafune, and Sukuna lost the whereabouts and dreams of all his friends.
He is deeply disappointed, but he went on a journey with Yukari and started a new path.
[ABILITIES, TACTICS]
The stick that he always has as a staff turns into a sickle with the power of green when he fights. A master of a fighting game moves his body freely as if he were an in-game avatar.
An acrobatic action that quickly moves a small body. The destructive power of the shaking sickle is powerful.
A powerful clan member, yet young.
[POWER]
B + (High ranking clan member.)
He is no match for Yukari, but it is possible to deal with several executives from other clans at the same time.
[LIKES]
A stylish battle game. Combine with Yukari. Iwa's curry.
[DISLIKE]
Green pepper. Slavery.
[HOBBIES]
Play.
[FASHION]
At his parents' house, he wore tight clothing, so somehow the clothing trend has remained the same.
[BODY]
Small and extremely agile. Slender figure due to immaturity.
[INTELLIGENCE]
Originally the brain is excellent. When he was in school, he had good grades and high application skills.
[BELIEFS]
When he was in the house of his parents, he grew up under strong slavery, and in front of his parents, he pretended to be free while pretending to be obedient.
After leaving there, upon meeting Nagare, he will find courage in deciding his own path and walking with his own power.
He doesn’t mention it, but on "Jungle", which was "free but not lonely", he felt happiness and warmth.
[RELATIONSHIPS]
[EARLY YEARS]
Born as the only son of the Gojou family, which is one side of the Kokujoji family. The Gojou family increased their power with the rise of the "Golden King" after the war. Sukuna's father is a politician.
[TIMELINE]
· 2000, Gojou Sukuna is born.
· 2011, Sukuna becomes a "Jungle" user, runs away from home and continues to complete the "Jungle" mission before being promoted to J-Rank.
[ATTITUDE AND THOUGHTS TOWARDS OTHERS]
[TERMS OF THE ADDRESS FOR HIMSELF]
The first person is "Ore".
The tone of a child who has a slightly bad mouth.
[TOWARDS HISUI NAGARE]
He calls him "Nagare" or "Anta".
He doesn't have the feeling of being a "king", and think he is a friend. He is a great guy and he wants to do what he is doing, but he assumes that Nagare is out of strange territory, so he will have to help him firmly.
[TOWARDS IWAFUNE TENKEI]
He calls him "Iwa-san" and "Anta".
He thinks he's a bad old man. He thinks he's a bad adult, like drinking alcohol during the day and occasionally hanging out with horse races and pachinko, but he doesn't hate that badness. He believes that the food prepared by Iwafune is delicious, and he is not thankful for doing housework.
He knows that he is the "Gray King", but does not feel it, and believes that "Iwa is Iwa".
[TOWARDS MISHAKUJI YUKARI]
He calls him "Yukari" and "Anta".
Every time he teases him or touches him a little Yukari, he is grooming him, but it is a cheap relationship like a brother. He knows that Yukari is better in terms of age and strength, but he intends to be on the same level as a fellow J-rank who lives in a secret base.
At the root, there is a part of believing in him and counting on him.
[TOWARDS KOTOSAKA]
He calls him "Kotosaka".
He often gets mad because he makes himself stupid as a bird. But he somehow believes that he is a friend. He doesn't hate animals.
[TOWARDS FUSHIMI SARUHIKO]
After joining "Jungle", he calls him "Saruhiko" and "Omae". (Before that, he called him "Fushimi Saruhiko").
He has strong opposition because he cheated and became a Rank-J from "Jungle", there is a strong possibility that he is a spy, and he worries that his whereabouts will be threatened by joining Fushimi.

i think aya is in a different classroom from sarumi but idk au where they are in the same classroom or something lol
saruhiko and yata are always pairing up for school projects (even if the teachers try to split them, they somehow end up together again). One day the teacher asks the class to split into teams of three, so aya turns to yata and saruhiko but just as shes walking up to them, yata (who hadn't noticed her approaching them) calls out for another boy.
yata turns around and sees aya red from embarrassment and now he cant help but feel like he owes her, so the next time the teacher tells them to pair up, yata immediately turns to fushimi but then remembers aya and tells fushimi that maybe it would be okay to group with different people, only for today. so he sits next to aya to the surprise of the whole class.
...Okay but literally who would Fushimi pair up with then, he'd probably walk out of class and give Yata the silent treatment for weeks. If Aya was in their class I feel like she would have spent a lot of time glaring quietly at the two of them, occasionally she tries to grab Yata's arm and act like she's interested in him in order to make Fushimi annoyed but a lot of the time they don't even notice she's there (well, though somehow I can absolutely imagine Yata chattering excitedly to Fushimi and over his head Fushimi spots Aya watching them, he clicks his tongue and gives her a slight smirk as he fixes his attention back on Yata). Normally whenever the class has to pair up for projects Yata and Fushimi immediately choose each other, while Aya actually probably has to deal with being the odd person out because most of the girls in the class dislike her. Yata always feels a little bad about this but at the same time the idea of pairing with a girl makes him nervous and he's glad he doesn't have to be the one to reject her, he just immediately grabs on to Saruhiko and suggests they pair up.
One day the class has to split off into teams of three, Aya walks over intending to act like she's doing Fushimi a favor by joining up with him and Yata, only for Yata to turn and ask another boy to join them while Fushimi's clicking his tongue and looking annoyed at the whole thing. Yata turns around to see Aya standing there with her mouth open, he belatedly realizes what she was about to ask and starts to stutter out an apology. Aya huffs quietly and turns away, trying to act like she didn't want to team with them anyway, but now Yata feels all bad for rejecting her. Imagine he mentions this to Fushimi later and Fushimi scoffs about it, like why should you care what she thinks, it's her own fault she can't get a partner. Yata gives him this look like didn't you always used to be the odd one out when we paired up and Fushimi clicks his tongue, stating it's not something Yata has to feel guilty about anyway.Yata can't help thinking about it though, he knows Aya's unpopular in class and he feels bad that he's always letting her stand around awkwardly waiting to pair up.
The next time the class pairs he sees her sitting at her desk and decides okay, he'll make it up to her this time. Fushimi's already looking at him and Yata gives this sheepish laugh as he says why don't we pair up with someone different today, going over to talk to Aya. Fushimi meanwhile is just glaring daggers at his back and imagine even after that Aya isn't happy with him either, like she doesn't need Misaki's pity. In the end poor Yata has Aya grudgingly working with him and complaining that he's an idiot while Fushimi has to pair with some rando and he's probably extra angry with Yata, like why did you even need to pair with her. Yata has to explain that it was just for one class and Fushimi clicks his tongue all if it's that important to you always pair with her, Yata's like look I can pair with someone else just once next time I'll pair with you.
#Yata Misaki#Talking K#...this is how you get Saru mad at you Yata#he would be so upset that Yata paired with someone else#Yata would be apologizing for weeks#Saru is clingy okay

Hey!! I'm the soap opera anon, thank you so much for replying to my ask and making me feel the dokis! Can you write a cute aftermath for it, like Fushimi doesn't die (as per your tag, Munakata's blue powers save him, for example) but gets some (not so bad but still annoying) after effects, like he can't concentrate as good as before? or has some speech problems. How would they all deal with it, for example Munakata blaming himself because he didn't see anything wrong before it happened, (1/2)
Following up on this ask, maybe Munakata's able to use his Blue power to somehow keep Fushimi alive until they can get him to a hospital and emergency surgery. In the aftermath Fushimi survives but he's still got a lot of aftereffects, like he gets migraines frequently that he has to take medicine for and maybe he does have some aphasia issues afterward. Due to this he's much less able to work than usual and even when he is working he often finds himself frustrated by his inability to communicate the things he wants to say properly. Like imagine him sitting in front of his computer struggling to put a report into words and the squad are all worrying about him but no one wants to say anything because they know Fushimi will get mad or think they're pitying him.
Munakata meanwhile wants to assist Fushimi in any way he can to make things easier but then at the same time he's feeling some guilt himself, that he didn't catch this earlier and didn't push things even when he knew Fushimi wasn't feeling well. Even so I don't think Munakata is the sort of person who would let himself be paralyzed by guilt, he feels like that was in the past and while he regrets it there is nothing else he can do but move forward. Therefore he decides to focus on helping Fushimi heal, like imagine he suggests they play a 'long' game of chess where Fushimi can make a move whenever he feels like it. Fushimi thinks that's stupid but Munakata urges him to play, actually using this as a way to like stimulate Fushimi's memory and help him heal faster. Munakata also takes care to find things he knows Fushimi can do even if those things are a struggle – he tells the squad not to help Fushimi unless he asks, instead believing in Fushimi that he can complete the work. Afterward Fushimi's annoyed that he struggled on such a basic thing but Munakata's like 'ah, but you finished it perfectly, did you not? Why should you be upset, that such a thing didn't come easily, when you still showed the skill and determination needed to complete this task that others would not have been able to complete regardless of the time spent?'. Fushimi clicks his tongue but he also can't really argue, slowly realizing that even if he can't do things as easily as he once did he can still do them.
His relationship with Yata also starts to change, like imagine right after everything when Fushimi's still in the hospital and can't even really talk Yata just shows up with flowers and sits next to the bed all 'since you can't talk back for once I'm gonna say what I want to say.' Almost losing Fushimi like that made Yata realize just how important Fushimi is to him and ultimately he doesn't care what Fushimi thinks of Homra or Mikoto or even Yata himself: Yata's going to be Fushimi's friend again and Fushimi's just going to have to deal with it. Later when he's a bit better Fushimi tries a few half-hearted attempts at being Yata's enemy again but he's surprised when Yata doesn't rise to the bait, instead Yata shows up at Scepter 4 from time to time offering to help Fushimi with anything he needs and even when Fushimi can't find the words to talk to him Yata will keep up a steady stream of chatter all on his own. Fushimi starts off trying to maintain his distance but imagine with all his issues and recovery he finds himself relaxing around Yata without even really realizing it, and sometimes when they're talking Yata of all people will know exactly what Fushimi means to say even when Fushimi can't find the words.
#Fushimi Saruhiko#Talking K#oh good it turned cute by the end ;;#I was worried how to make this cute recovery when it seemed all angst XD#I like the idea of Yata just walking in like you can't talk so I'm declaring us friends again sorry you don't get to argue#like he's decided and that's that#and somehow Fushimi doesn't dislike this

Do you know the Sentinel and Guide AU? How about Reisaru/Mikosaru for this AU?
Reisaru version I'm imagining Fushimi as the Sentinel and Munakata as the Guide, like imagine Fushimi struggling for a long time with his Sentinel powers until he meets Munakata. Even as a kid Fushimi had hyper-developed senses (and maybe even his glasses are a way to help with that, like he can see like a normal person when he wears them it's when he takes them off that he has super sight) and it's brought him nothing but trouble. Having Niki nearby and always being aware of it left Fushimi in this like perpetual state of pain and fear and even once he's older he tries to shut off all those powers because he can't stand the feeling of other people near him. Because of this Fushimi keeps himself isolated, doing coding work from a dingy apartment and trying not to feel anything, knowing that if he gives in to all the sensations around him he won't be able to control himself and it will make him vulnerable.
Then say there's like a murder in his apartment building and Fushimi ends up as a suspect, Fushimi has some idea of who might have done it though due to his sentinel powers. It's during this time that he meets detective Munakata and the moment Munakata comes near him Fushimi has this weird feeling, almost like he can relax around this person. Whereas being around most people makes Fushimi feel sick and caged in he doesn't get that from Munakata, like even Munakata's scent is somehow soothing. Initially Fushimi doesn't want to tell Munakata about his powers, assuming he won't be believed or that he'll be made fun of, but at some point during the murder investigation maybe Fushimi has to like focus all his consciousness on one sense in order to get them out of a sticky situation and he has no choice but to tell Munakata. Fushimi's hesitant because doing this will put him in a kind of trance and he'll be vulnerable but Munakata takes his hand and tells him there is nothing to fear. Munakata ends up being the one to bring him out of the trance afterward and even though Munakata doesn't know anything about sentinels or guides he feels like the two of them are truly connected in a way he's never felt before.
Mikosaru version imagine Mikoto as the Sentinel and Fushimi as his very pissed off Guide. Imagine in this AU maybe it's known that Mikoto's a sentinel and he works for like some kind of government agency that tries to keep him on a tight leash. Say at first Mikoto has a different guide, Totsuka, but then Totsuka's killed by a murderer and there's no one else who can help him control his powers. For this reason Mikoto's personality is very lazy and depressed, like the only way to control his powers and keep himself sane is if he spends all his time sleeping and conserving energy, trying to keep his senses to the level of a normal human.
Then new recruit Fushimi joins the force and the moment Mikoto catches a whiff of his scent Mikoto knows that this guy has the potential to be his guide. Say Munakata is the one heading the agency and he's somewhat amused when Mikoto wants to spend more time with Fushimi-kun, like it doesn't seem as if they get along but how odd for Suoh to want to involve himself with someone else. Mikoto just shrugs and says maybe he likes the kid, meanwhile Fushimi already dislikes Mikoto and doesn't get why he keeps getting stuck with this annoying lazy person. At some point the two of them get into trouble though and Mikoto has to start making use of his sentinel powers, imagine him saying he trusts Fushimi to watch his back and Fushimi's just like what's that supposed to mean as Mikoto picks him up bodily and starts running with him. Mikoto just smirks and says Fushimi should be able to guess, he's the guide after all, and Fushimi sighs and complains about what a pain this is turning out to be.
#Reisaru#Mikosaru#Talking K#SHIP MIKOSARU ALL YE HEATHENS#also ship Reisaru too#ship all the Saru ships#I feel like it's more funny in Mikosaru if Saru is the reluctant guide XD#Reisaru Munakata being Saru's support so he can dote

Don't you think Fushimi is like a king on it's own too somehow? Tho in a slightly different sense (he doesn't have a sword of Damocles). After all king has this kind of aura that people naturally drawn to them. And both Misaki and Aya was like that (I thought about this when I see again the lse novel cover illustration). After he step into the another world, 3 kings desired him (not sure if mikoto thought that tho, at least there's kusanagi).
Also your thought on Fushimi as the number 2 or right hand of the king? it was just interesting somehow he seems like the right hand (number 2) of a king too after all. Lots of time in official illustration he was put in the right position of Munakata instead of Seri, and then we have Kusanagi who want him to succeed him. And then in the anime when he and Yata do the ritual thingy for joining the red clan, it was Fushimi who was taking Mikoto's the right just like when Kusanagi did years ago. (I don't know if it's just me over analysing stuff tho)
This is one of the things that frustrates Fushimi about himself when it comes to Kings, that he can't get people to rally around him no matter what he tries – though Fushimi also seems somewhat unaware of his own abilities in that area and I think that may be where the difference lies. Like Fushimi does have some ability to draw people to him, with both Yata and Aya having interest in him and thinking he's amazing, and it's the same with Munakata and even Kusanagi to some extent. I think this is different than the abilities of a 'King' though, like with Kusanagi and Munakata it isn't that they're drawn to Fushimi so much as they want him in their orbit, I feel like Munakata wanting Fushimi for his abilities is different than a clansman joining a King because they're drawn to that person and want to serve them. And Fushimi himself seems to doubt his own abilities, in Side Red he has that moment with Totsuka where he wonders if Totsuka has the ability to be a King as well because “Even if you don’t control them with power, they follow you… it’s special, isn’t it” (and Totsuka replies "A guy who’s obsessed with something can’t become a king," which is a rather pointed way of putting it). I feel like Fushimi's low self esteem is the thing that really keeps him from having the same qualities as a King, he doesn't have the confidence to assume that others will follow him and so it's easy for him to overlook when other people are interested in him. He's not really able to draw people close the way a King would because he assumes that he can't, and it basically becomes its own self fulfilling prophecy.
As for Fushimi as right hand of the King, I feel like that depends on the meaning. In an official sense I think Awashima makes much more sense as a number two for Munakata than Fushimi does – I remember I had an ask once about what if Awashima took over S4 would Fushimi be her number two and my thought was that actually Akiyama would probably take that position because Fushimi works best in a third in command position. I feel like the number two position indicates that this person could take over the King's duties if the King isn't available (obviously only to some extent) and would be the one leading the clan in the King's absence, and in that sense I really don't see Fushimi fitting that role. I think Fushimi works best when he has flexibility and can move on his own, I think he would dislike having to be the one directly in charge of everything with no room to breathe. Even in Homra I think it's notable that while Kusanagi did intend for Fushimi to be his successor he also mentions in the Shrine Visit story that Fushimi and Yata and Kamamoto could take over as the next generation leaders of Homra, like even Kusanagi is aware that while Fushimi excels in some areas he does lack some of what's needed to really take over the firm second in command position. I think Fushimi could work as Munakata's right hand in the sense of supporting Munakata and being Munakata's 'odd job person,' as he's indicated to be in canon, but as far as 'official number two of the clan' goes I think he's better in his current role.
#Fushimi Saruhiko#Talking K#I feel like he doesn't have that quiet confidence of a King#that would let others rally around him#bc he's too insecure and tries to push people away even when they want to be near him#also while Fushimi as Munakata's right hand is a nice image I think we shouldn't discount Awashima too much#I think Fushimi's too independent minded to be an exact second in command#he's better where he has more flexibility#in general I think if MUnakata made him number three there's a reason for it

You've done Munakata and managing his well-oiled machine of a high-end brothel. What if Munakata himself worked at such a high-end brothel and it's Fushimi who comes to visit him as his best client?
Maybe Munakata both runs the place and works there as well (or he's just like in charge somehow, like someone else owns the place but can't run the day to day operations that much so they put Munakata in charge, he's good at being in charge of things). Munakata himself is very expensive anyway, like it's already a high-end brothel and Munakata is basically the most high-end worker there, only the most well-connected and rich can afford a session with him. He's desired by every customer who visits but often spends his time working and keeping things running, as it's rare for there to be enough clients who can afford him to keep him busy.
He's rather surprised when Fushimi first shows up, this sullen-looking young man with a bunch of money who grumbles that he doesn't care who he sees. The idea of Fushimi even wanting to seek out a brothel seems unlike him but maybe it was a spur of the moment thing, like say he's just had a falling out with his best friend Yata. Fushimi's had a crush on Yata for a long time but never said anything, unable to bring himself to admit the words out loud, and in the meantime the two of them have been becoming more distant after Yata started working as a bouncer at this bar called Homra. Fushimi ends up walking in on Yata making out with one of the Homra guys, irritated and heartbroken and just annoyed with everything Fushimi decides that if that stupid virgin can be with someone Fushimi can do just as well. Fushimi has a lot of money from his terrible parents that he's never touched but just this once he grabs a bunch of cash and goes straight to Munakata's place, even a guy like Fushimi who normally isn't interested at all in sex knows that this is the most high end brothel in the city.
Fushimi didn't specify who he wanted to be with so he's about to be assigned one of the alphabet boys when Munakata himself steps in and says he'll take this client. Everyone's surprised because Munakata would never just take a walk-in client but Munakata just found himself intrigued by this person. When they get to a room Fushimi's about to back out, deciding this is stupid and he doesn't want to do it anyway. Munakata notes that Fushimi paid and therefore he deserves some time with Munakata, perhaps they can just talk. Fushimi's recalcitrant but Munakata manages to slowly get information out of him, learning that Fushimi does coding work and is estranged from his family, he has only one friend who he's been distancing himself from and he's almost never allowed himself to be touched by anyone, intimately or otherwise. Munakata decides that in this case he will have to go slow and imagine the talking slowly turning into this gentle and careful sex, Munakata easing Fushimi through all of it and doing everything he knows to make Fushimi feel good.
Afterward Fushimi acts like he doesn't intend to ever do this again but a week or so later he returns to the brothel. When he mumbles out that he's here to see Munakata he's almost turned away, because clearly there's no way this sullen guy in glasses could be one of Munakata's clients. Munakata immediately walks over and greets him warmly though and from that point on Fushimi is basically his best client, Munakata gives him a discount so that Fushimi is able to see him often (and Fushimi does have some idea that Munakata's more expensive than he's letting on). Munakata admits that the reason for this is not just for Fushimi, in fact he's cheating a bit himself because he dislikes the idea of letting anyone else make Fushimi feel this good.
#Reisaru#Talking K#Munakata is indulging himself a bit for once#because he would hate to see Fushimi go to anyone else#though perhaps he's aware this may be unfair to Fushimi too#since Munakata still has to see other people as well even if Fushimi is his favorite

Feud between Fushimi and Fuse. But Fushimi doesn't know about 1.... and 2. Fuse is outraged and tries to come up with more and more sophisticated ways to win, Fushimi wonders what kind of guy is drilling his eyes.
This is a favorite headcanon of mine actually XD Like it's made pretty clear in the side materials that Fuse isn't fond of Fushimi and I like to imagine that he just has these annoying possibly slightly jealous feelings that he can't get rid of – for one thing, Fuse is supposed to be the official 'F' member of Scepter 4 but here's Fushimi taking his place, Fushimi has a higher rank despite being younger and a defector from Homra, and on top of that Fuse's birthday is the day after Fushimi's and you just know that he doesn't get the same kind of fanfare that Fushimi gets (like sure, Hidaka, Gotou and Enomoto remember and I'm sure Munakata sends him the same special custom-made birthday puzzle that he likes he give to all the members but it's nothing like the outpouring of affection that Fushimi tries and fails to dodge every year). Basically in Fuse's eyes Fushimi just swept into Scepter 4 and totally took over his place and he is just secretly seething over it and is determined to show that he is superior to that gloomy brat Fushimi.
So Fuse decides that clearly this means war and he's going to find some way to one up Fushimi and show him who's the best 'F' in Scepter 4. Unfortunately for Fuse Fushimi doesn't actually notice what's going on and even if he did notice he honestly probably wouldn't care, Fushimi expects to be disliked and he's not going to waste time dealing with someone whose name isn't Misaki. Fuse keeps trying to find new ways to show he's better though, like imagine him thinking up pointless challenges like 'who can type faster' (winner: Fushimi) or trying to show that at the very least he's more popular than Fushimi (unofficial secret poll is taken, winner: Fushimi. Somehow. Fuse doesn't get it at all). Enomoto tries to cheer him up, like don't worry it's probably just that you're a little plain and no one notices you, that's what happens to me too. Fuse isn't going to just lie back and be defeated though, maybe if he does more paperwork or solves more cases he can finally prove that he's superior in some way to Fushimi. (Meanwhile one day Fushimi overhears Hidaka talking about Fuse's feud with Fushimi, Hidaka sees Fushimi looking at him and gets all flustered trying to protect Fuse's secret all while Fushimi stands there trying to remember which one of them is Fuse.)
#Fushimi Saruhiko#Fuse Daiki#Talking K#two favorite headcanons in one#Fuse's secret feud with Fushimi that only he knows about#and Fushimi having no idea which one is Fuse#look he's still figuring out which alphabet squad members he needs to know okay#he knows Akiyama is the one who brings the coffee and Benzai is the one who keeps Akiyama from stepping on everyone#Doumyouji is the idiot with the crayons Kamo's the actial adult#Gotou is the creepy one#Hidaka's tall#he probably knows Enomoto since they sometimes work together#he thinks he knows who Fuse is but that could just be a nickname for the copier

The send people to the north pole strain sends everyone to the north pole post ROK but they are all slightly separated. Yata is looking for fushimi cause he doesn't want the man to freeze to death while Munakata scolds Kusanagi saying that Homra is going to cause everything to melt and flood.
The North Pole Strain has been working overtime XD Maybe post-ROKScepter 4 and Homra have been working together to round up the lastof the more dangerous Strains, North Pole Strain is on the listbecause her power could be very dangerous for normal people who don’thave super powers (and even the clansmen that she’s hit with it havebeen lucky that they haven’t frozen to death, when you get right downto it). The cast manages to corner her, figuring there’s strength innumbers and her power won’t be enough to attack them all at once.North Pole Strain is no slouch that and she launches one big blast ofpower at the group – I suddenly imagine her power manifestingitself as like giant snowballs that when they hit someone that personis sent to the North Pole, she sends a giant boulder-sized snowballat the gathered group and everyone gets hit at once.
Yata and Fushimi are standing near each other when they get hit andYata tries to grab for Fushimi’s hand, but when he wakes up in thesnow he’s all alone. Yata looks around and swears as he realizeswhere he is, sighing because he’s going to have to wait until thiswears off and it’s going to suck. He uses his powers to keep himselfwarm and starts wandering off trying to find shelter for the timebeing. He’s walking randomly when he stumbles on some of the Homraand Scepter 4 alphabet squads, also trying to take stock of thesituation and make a plan for staying warm until they get sent backhome. The plan unfortunately involves each Scepter 4 boy having tostay close to their alphabetic Homra counterpart, poor Gotou andHidaka are just going to have to huddle together for warmth. Enomotofinds the way Eric keeps staring at him a little uncomfortable andsomehow Akiyama and Akagi have decided that they dislike each otherand Akiyama keeps ‘accidentally’ stepping on Akagi’s feet and thenapologizing profusely, Akagi’s pretty sure that Akiyama’s doing thison purpose but of course Akiyama’s so nice and sensible abouteverything that he can’t really prove it.
Yata meanwhile immediately gets concerned because if everyone’s atthe North Pole doesn’t that mean Saruhiko is here and is probablyfreezing his skinny nerd ass off. Yata decides to separate from thealphabet squads to go find Fushimi, stumbling through the blindingsnow yelling Fushimi’s name over and over. Finally he hears thishesitating reply and Yata immediately goes running towards the sound, where he finds Fushimi huddled miserably in a small cave created byan overhang, he’s started a fire but his clothes are soaked and helooks miserable. Yata just sighs like seriously, you can just useyour own Red power Saruhiko and Fushimi clicks his tongue and sayshe’s not going to waste energy for useless things. Yata would arguewith him but Fushimi’s face is red and he keeps sniffling which areboth bad signs, so instead Yata crawls into the cave with him andwraps his arms around Fushimi’s chest. Fushimi starts to complain ofcourse and Yata just sighs and is like let me keep you from freezingto death at least, okay dumbass.
The two of them doze off for a bit like that and are woken up by thesound of something like a flamethrower accompanied by Munakata’sscolding voice. They leave the cave and head towards the sound, cresting a particularly high snowdrift just in time to see Kamamotoand a couple other Homra alphabet boys clearing away a bunch of snowusing their fire powers. Munakata and Kusanagi have met up with theirrespective clans and what was a happy little communal warmth colonyis now bitterly divided, the Homra guys have decided to make ashelter by burning off all the snow to reveal the ground beneathwhile Munakata has put the rest of Scepter 4 to work making a tinysnow city of igloos that they can shelter in. Kusanagi’s observingboth while Munakata lectures him on the wisdom of melting the NorthPole, like he has an entire lecture about global warming on handy forjust this situation. Elsewhere Anna and Awashima are making their ownlittle private girls’ igloo. Yata of course has to jump into Kusanagiand Munakata’s argument on the Homra side, saying that it’s not likethere’s not enough snow in the this shitty place it won’t matter ifthey burn some, while Fushimi on principle has to call him an idiotand point out that it’s snowing hard enough that unless they burncontinuously it won’t do any good anyway. Luckily before the groupscan come to blows the situation is settled by the power wearing offand both teams are returned to the middle of the city wet and cold, the Strain search is temporarily suspended so everyone can have a hotchocolate break.
#k project#Talking K#the North Pole Strain is not going down without a fight okay#her presence is necessary to ensure endless 'huddling together for warmth' scenarios#she provides a valuable service to the community at large#Munakata would be halfway to creating a new society there amongst the snow and ice#the alphabet boys have to fight off polar bears with their swords as a training exercise
