- it's not that i expect everyone to be as hype about my personal interests as me, but when things you personally enjoyed get pushed aside by everyone it feels very discouraging, and when everyone's interests are so fleeting as of late, it's hard to keep an audience for something people aren't into at the current time. i'm always torn between wanting to curate a good profile to grow my art business, and just posting what i enjoy regardless of its popularity. social media is hard to manage
(2/2)
tbh i feel like makin any kinda art is different from what im talkin abt. like when ur pourin yr heart and soul into stuff its natural that youll want people to see n like it.
i think if you just keep doin stuff that makes you feel good youll eventually find a devoted audience. though i admit this approach probably isnt best for business purposes. tho imo art should be about expression and connection thatssss just my opinionnn and idk if thats a super common disposition. however its pretty likely that going for the aspect where you share what you enjoy will keep you more energized in what you do than just drawing to appeal to the trend of the week. a good portfolio *is* important though, dont get me wrong.
