Thinking about Raymond Shields as Colress' defense attorney again and realizing that if Denise was called to testify against him she would absolutely come out of that whole ordeal thinking Ray is a hack which is a fucking HILARIOUS thought

#mel's musings #forest for the tree #and she's not unreasonable for that. she's 18 and traumatized and hates colress' guts #bc he seemingly has no moral compass and prioritizes his scientific pursuits over the actual well-being of living things #her opinion on ray is mostly just an extension of her resentment towards him. bc who in their right mind would defend such a guy #that said dena is still petty as hell and WILL go on tirades about ray's dumb jokes and his stupid fucking hat #which is REALLY funny to me because in almost any other circumstances they'd probably get along ok once she gets used to him #i have other timelines in the works where they do (and they are not at all self-indulgent don't look at me like that)#but in this ONE hyperspecific scenario she has one-sided resentment that's strong enough to supercede that #and honestly? i love that for her if she told her samurott to slice his hat to shreds i'd be reaching for the popcorn #↖️ this user is not normal about raymond shields ace attorney and you best believe she's going to make it everyone's problem
