Note
i havent seen mha since i was like 13, is uraraka and blood girl yuri canon?
technically no but to me yeah it very much is but tragically
#it's complicated. so like toga is obviously in love with uraraka#and they end up over the course of the series having several complex moments that result in uraraka realizing she's just another teen girl#and she wants to save her she starts really empathizing with toga#this culminated in their part of the final war arc#wherein they're fighting and toga's upset about like. society and heroes as per#talking about how everyone just wants her dead cause of her quirk and whatnot#uraraka is telling her she wants to talk to her and that she's sorry for not understanding earlier#toga is saying it's too late and uraraka just continues telling her she wishes she knew what happened to her when she was younger#and she tells toga she has a lovely smile and then tells her she wants to give toga her blood for the rest of her life#and that she wants the two of them to talk about romance. and that she wants to touch that sadness deep inside toga#toga stabs uraraka at some point so she's bleeding pretty bad and also they're in the sky cause of uraraka's quirk#and then uraraka tells toga she's the cutest girl in the world and passes out midair#and when they hit the ground and toga can see she'll probably die she decides to drink some of uraraka's blood to turn into her#so she can give her a blood transfusion and save her life. she says smth#like “what if I had found a love that made me want to give blood sooner? I think it would've been much easier to live in this world”#and she passes out next to uraraka and says “I'm himiko toga and I lived exactly how I wanted to”#this presumably kills her. she is never found after the final battle#but you can see why I think it should count as canon and REQUITED given that uraraka verbally reciprocates#all of toga's standard ways of talking about love and romance#like. giving and taking blood IS romantic to toga. so why is uraraka offering her blood to toga🤨🤨🤨#uraraka then in the epilogue as a pro hero apparently does lots of quirk counseling work. um. crazy#alo apparently they were created and written for each other. so#blood girl yuri!!#ask#supercoolswampert#hi hanaan!

In Another Life
Charles Leclerc x Reader
Summary: in which two soulmates are destined to always find each other only to be torn apart lifetime after lifetime after lifetime … until finally, they’re not (aka the reincarnation AU)
Tumblr media
Rome, 79 AD
The bustling streets of Rome pulse with life as you make your way through the crowded forum. The scent of fresh bread and roasted meat wafts through the air, mingling with the chatter of merchants and citizens going about their daily business. You adjust your stola, the flowing garment feeling unusually constricting today as you hurry towards the Temple of Venus.
“Watch where you’re going!” A gruff voice shouts as you accidentally bump into a burly man carrying an amphora.
“My apologies,” you mutter, quickening your pace. Your heart races, not from the near-collision, but from anticipation. You’re running late for your clandestine meeting with Charles, the young patrician who has captured your heart.
As you approach the temple, you spot him pacing nervously at the base of the steps. His toga gleams white in the afternoon sun and his usually perfectly coiffed hair is slightly disheveled, as if he’s been running his hands through it anxiously.
“There you are!” Charles exclaims as you draw near. His face breaks into a relieved smile, and he reaches for your hands. “I was beginning to worry you wouldn’t come.”
You can’t help but return his smile, your earlier stress melting away. “As if I could stay away,” you tease, giving his hands a gentle squeeze. “Though I must say, your choice of meeting place is rather bold. The Temple of Venus? Are you trying to tell me something?”
He laughs, a warm, rich sound that never fails to make your heart skip a beat. “Perhaps I’m simply hoping the goddess will smile upon us,” he replies, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “After all, we could use all the divine favor we can get.”
Your smile falters slightly at his words, reality creeping back in. “Have you spoken with your father?” You ask, unable to keep the worry from your voice.
Charles’ expression grows serious. “I have,” he says, leading you to a secluded corner of the temple grounds. “He’s ... not pleased, to say the least. He still insists on the marriage to Claudia.”
You feel a pang in your chest at the mention of Charles’ intended bride. “And what did you tell him?”
“The truth,” Charles replies firmly. “That my heart belongs to you and I won’t marry another.”
Your breath catches in your throat. “Charles,” you whisper, “you know the consequences-”
He cuts you off, cupping your face in his hands. “I don’t care about the consequences. I love you, Y/N. I won’t let my father’s ambitions or society’s expectations keep us apart.”
You lean into his touch, torn between elation and fear. “But your family, your position ... you’d lose everything.”
“Not everything,” Charles insists. “I’d have you. That’s all that matters.”
You’re about to respond when a commotion near the temple entrance catches your attention. Your blood runs cold as you spot Charles’ father, Senator Leclerc, striding towards you, flanked by several burly slaves.
“Charles!” The senator bellows, his face contorted with rage. “Step away from that girl at once!”
Charles instinctively moves to shield you. “Father, please,” he begins, but the senator cuts him off.
“Silence! You shame our family with this ... this dalliance. I won’t stand for it any longer.”
You feel Charles tense beside you. “It’s not a dalliance, Father. I love her.”
The senator’s face grows even redder. “Love? You know nothing of love, boy. You have a duty to your family, to Rome. I won’t let you throw it all away for some common girl.”
“She’s not common,” Charles argues, his voice rising. “She’s extraordinary, and I won’t let you or anyone speak ill of her.”
The tension in the air is palpable as father and son face off. You want to intervene, to de-escalate the situation, but you’re frozen in place, your heart pounding.
Suddenly, one of the senator’s slaves moves forward, reaching for Charles. Without thinking, you step between them. “Don’t touch him!” You cry out.
Everything happens in a blur. The slave’s hand connects with your shoulder, shoving you back. You stumble, your foot catching on the hem of your stola. Time seems to slow as you feel yourself falling, tumbling down the temple steps.
“Y/N!” Charles’ anguished cry is the last thing you hear before pain explodes through your body and the world goes dark.
You drift in and out of consciousness, aware of frantic voices and the sensation of being carried. Charles’ face swims into view, streaked with tears.
“Stay with me, love,” he pleads, his voice cracking. “Please, don’t leave me.”
You try to speak, to reassure him, but no words come. The pain is fading now, replaced by a strange numbness. You manage to lift a hand to Charles’ cheek, wanting to wipe away his tears.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper, your voice barely audible. “I love you, Charles. In this life and the next.”
As darkness closes in, your last thought is a desperate hope that someday, somehow, you’ll find each other again.
Genoa, 1348
The acrid smell of smoke and death hangs heavy in the air as Charles makes his way through the narrow, winding streets. His eyes water, both from the stench and the unshed tears he’s been holding back for days. The plague has ravaged the city, leaving behind a trail of devastation and despair.
Charles pulls his cloth mask tighter over his nose and mouth, though he knows it’s likely futile. He’s a physician, one of the few brave — or foolish — enough to still tend to the sick. But today, he’s not seeking out patients. He’s searching for you.
“Y/N!” He calls out, his voice muffled by the mask. “Y/N, where are you?”
A nearby door creaks open, and a haggard face peers out. “Keep your voice down, fool,” the old woman hisses. “You’ll bring the afflicted running.”
Charles ignores her, pressing on. His heart races with each step, fear and hope warring within him. He hasn’t seen you in days, not since you left to care for your ailing aunt. The memory of your parting plays in his mind, as vivid as if it were happening now.
“I have to go,” you had said, your eyes filled with determination and fear. “She has no one else.”
He had tried to dissuade you. “It’s too dangerous. The plague-”
“I know the risks,” you’d cut him off. “But I can’t abandon her. You’d do the same if it were your family.”
He couldn’t argue with that. It was one of the things he loved most about you — your unwavering compassion, even in the face of danger.
“Promise me you’ll be careful,” he’d pleaded, pulling you close. “Promise me you’ll come back to me.”
You’d kissed him then, soft and sweet. “I promise. Nothing could keep me from you, my love. Not even death itself.”
Now, as he rounds another corner, Charles clings to that promise like a lifeline. “Y/N!” He calls again, desperation creeping into his voice.
Suddenly, he spots a familiar figure stumbling down the street. His heart leaps. “Y/N!”
You turn at the sound of his voice, and Charles feels his world tilt on its axis. Your face is pale, your eyes glassy with fever. As he watches in horror, you collapse to the ground.
“No, no, no,” Charles mutters, rushing to your side. He gathers you in his arms, his physician’s training warring with his lover’s panic. “Y/N, can you hear me? Open your eyes, love.”
Your eyelids flutter, and you manage a weak smile. “Charles,” you whisper. “You found me.”
“Of course I found you,” he says, trying to keep his voice steady. “I’ll always find you. Now, let’s get you home and take care of you.”
You shake your head slightly. “No, it’s too late. The plague-”
“Don’t say that,” Charles interrupts fiercely. “It’s not too late. I’m a physician, remember? I’ll cure you. I have to.”
Despite your condition, you manage a soft laugh. “My stubborn love. Always fighting the impossible.”
Charles lifts you gently, cradling you against his chest. “Nothing’s impossible when it comes to you,” he insists, starting the journey back to his home. “We’ve overcome so much already. Remember when we first met? You were convinced a lowly apprentice physician could never court a merchant’s daughter.”
You smile at the memory. “And you were determined to prove me wrong.”
“Which I did,” Charles says, a hint of his old cockiness creeping into his voice. “Rather spectacularly, if I recall correctly.”
“Mmm, yes,” you murmur. “That night under the stars, when you recited all those ridiculous poems ...”
Charles chuckles. “They weren’t ridiculous. They were romantic.”
“They were terrible,” you counter weakly. “But your heart was in the right place.”
As they near Charles’ home, your breathing becomes more labored. Fear claws at Charles’ chest, but he forces it down. “Stay with me, love,” he pleads. “We’re almost there.”
Once inside, Charles lays you gently on the bed. He works tirelessly, applying every treatment and remedy he knows. Hours blur together as he fights against the inevitable, refusing to give up hope.
But as night falls, he can no longer deny the truth. The plague is winning and he’s powerless to stop it.
“Charles,” you whisper, your voice barely audible. “It’s time to let go.”
He shakes his head vehemently, tears streaming down his face. “No, I can’t. I won’t lose you again.”
Your brow furrows in confusion. “Again?”
Charles pauses, unsure where that thought came from. “I ... I don’t know. It just feels like I’ve lost you before, somehow.”
You manage a small smile. “Perhaps in another life,” you muse. “But in this one, we found each other. We loved. That’s what matters.”
“It’s not enough,” Charles insists, his voice breaking. “We were supposed to have more time. We were going to get married, have children, grow old together.”
“We’ll have that chance,” you say with surprising conviction. “If not in this life, then in the next. Our souls are bound, Charles. I feel it. This isn’t the end for us.”
Charles wants to believe you, but the grief is overwhelming. “How can you be so sure?”
“Because I know our love,” you reply, reaching up to touch his face. “It’s stronger than death, stronger than time itself. We’ll find each other again, my love. I promise.”
As your hand falls away, your eyes close for the last time. Charles pulls you close, his body wracked with sobs. “I’ll find you,” he vows through his tears. “In this life or the next, I’ll always find you.”
Days pass in a haze of grief and determination. Charles throws himself into treating the sick with renewed vigor, heedless of the risk to himself. And when the telltale symptoms begin to appear — the fever, the chills, the aching limbs — he faces them without fear.
As he lies in his sickbed, Charles’ thoughts are only of you. “I’m coming, my love,” he whispers to the empty room. “Wait for me.”
His last conscious thought is a fervent hope that somehow, somewhere, you’ll be reunited once more.
Paris, 1789
The streets of Paris echo with the sound of angry voices and marching feet as Charles makes his way through the city’s winding alleys. His heart races, not from the exertion of his hurried pace, but from the fear of what’s to come. The revolution has begun in earnest, and his world is crumbling around him.
“Charles!” Your voice cuts through the chaos, and he turns to see you running towards him, your skirts hiked up to allow for faster movement. “Thank God I found you. We have to go, now!”
He grabs your hand, pulling you into a shadowy doorway. “Y/N, what are you doing here? It’s not safe!”
You cup his face in your hands, your eyes blazing with determination. “I couldn’t leave without you. The mob is heading for your family’s estate. We need to get you out of the city.”
Charles feels a rush of love for you, even as fear grips his heart. You, a baker’s daughter, risking everything to save him. “And what of you? Your family?”
“They’re safe,” you assure him. “Papa closed the bakery and they’ve gone to stay with relatives in the countryside. But you ... Charles, they’ll kill you if they find you.”
He knows you’re right. His family name, once a source of pride, is now a death sentence. “Where can we go?” He asks, his mind racing.
“I have a plan,” you say, tugging him back into the street. “There’s a farmer who owes my father a favor. He’s agreed to hide us until we can secure passage to England.”
As you hurry through the streets, the sounds of the mob grow louder. Charles can’t help but look back, his heart heavy with the knowledge of what he’s leaving behind.
“Charles, focus,” you urge, squeezing his hand. “We’re almost there.”
Suddenly, a group of revolutionaries rounds the corner ahead of you. Their eyes lock onto Charles, recognition dawning on their faces.
“Aristocrat!” One of them shouts, pointing an accusing finger. “Seize him!”
“Run!” Charles yells, pulling you in the opposite direction. You flee hand-in-hand, weaving through the narrow streets as shouts and footsteps echo behind you.
“This way,” you pant, yanking him down an alley. “I know a shortcut.”
You lead him through a maze of backstreets, the angry voices growing fainter. Just as Charles begins to hope you’ve lost them, you emerge onto a main road … and straight into the path of another group of revolutionaries.
“Halt!” A burly man with a tricolor sash shouts, leveling a musket at Charles.
Charles pushes you behind him, shielding you with his body. “Please,” he says, raising his hands. “We mean no harm. We’re just trying to leave the city.”
The man’s eyes narrow. “You’re Leclerc’s boy, aren’t you? The one who’s been helping nobles escape?”
Charles feels you stiffen behind him. He’d kept his activities secret, even from you, to keep you safe. But now ...
“Yes,” he admits, straightening his spine. “I’ve been helping innocent people escape persecution. If that’s a crime, then I’m guilty.”
The man’s face twists with rage. “Traitor to the revolution!” He spits. “You’ll pay for your crimes against the people!”
As the man raises his musket, time seems to slow. Charles is acutely aware of your rapid breathing behind him, of the sweat beading on his brow, of the hammering of his heart.
“No!” You cry out, trying to push past Charles. “Please, he’s a good man! He’s helped people, saved lives!”
“Y/N, don’t,” Charles pleads, holding you back. He turns to face you, drinking in the sight of your face, committing every detail to memory. “I love you,” he says softly. “In this life and the next.”
The words trigger a flash of memory — or is it déjà vu? Charles has a sudden feeling that he’s said those words before, in another time, another place.
The moment is shattered by the deafening crack of the musket firing. Charles feels a searing pain in his chest, and then he’s falling, the world tilting sideways.
“Charles!” You anguished scream seems to come from far away. He feels your arms around him, cradling his head in your lap. “No, no, no. Stay with me, my love. Please!”
Charles tries to speak, but only a wet cough comes out. He can taste blood in his mouth. The pain is fading now, replaced by a spreading numbness.
“I’m sorry,” he manages to whisper. “I’m so sorry, Y/N.”
Tears stream down your face as you bend over him. “Don’t apologize. You have nothing to be sorry for. You’re a hero, Charles. My hero.”
He wants to tell you how much he loves you, how meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to him. But the darkness is closing in, and he can feel himself slipping away.
As his eyes flutter closed, Charles has a strange sensation of déjà vu. He sees flashes of other lives — ancient Rome, plague-ridden Genoa — where he loved you and lost you. Or did you lose him?
With his last breath, Charles makes a silent vow. Somehow, someway, he’ll find you again. In the next life, you’ll get it right. You have to.
The world fades to black, but Charles isn’t afraid. He knows this isn’t the end. It’s just another beginning.
You hold Charles’ lifeless body, your sobs echoing in the suddenly quiet street. The revolutionaries stand awkwardly, some looking ashamed, others defiant.
“What have you done?” You cry out, your voice raw with grief and anger. “He was a good man! He helped people!”
The man with the musket shifts uncomfortably. “He was an aristocrat,” he mutters, but there’s less conviction in his voice now.
You look up at him, your eyes blazing through your tears. “He was a human being,” you say fiercely. “And you murdered him.”
As the reality of what they’ve done sinks in, the crowd begins to disperse. You’re left alone with Charles, cradling his body in the middle of the street.
“I’ll find you,” you whisper, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “In the next life, my love. I promise we’ll be together again.”
As night falls over Paris, you sit vigil over Charles’ body, your heart broken but your spirit undefeated. Somewhere deep inside, you know this isn’t the end of your story. It’s just another chapter in a love that spans lifetimes.
London, 1942
The steady tick of the clock on the mantle seems to echo through the small London flat as you pace anxiously, your eyes darting to the window every few seconds. The air raid sirens have been silent for days, but the tension in the city remains palpable. It’s been weeks since you’ve heard from Charles, and the knot of worry in your stomach grows tighter with each passing day.
A sharp knock at the door makes you jump. Your heart races as you rush to answer it, hope and fear warring within you. But instead of Charles’ warm smile, you’re met with the solemn face of his fellow RAF pilot, James.
“James,” you breathe, your voice barely above a whisper. “What is it? What’s happened?”
James removes his cap, twisting it in his hands. “May I come in? I’m afraid I have some news about Charles.”
The world seems to tilt on its axis as you step back, allowing James to enter. You lead him to the small sitting room, your movements mechanical, as if you’re watching yourself from a distance.
“Please,” you say, gesturing to a chair. “Sit down and tell me everything.”
James perches on the edge of the armchair, his discomfort palpable. “There’s no easy way to say this. Charles’ plane was shot down over the Channel three days ago. We ... we haven’t found any survivors.”
The words hit you like a physical blow, driving the air from your lungs. “No,” you whisper, shaking your head. “No, that can’t be right. Charles is too good a pilot. He promised he’d come back to me.”
James leans forward, his eyes filled with sympathy. “I’m so sorry, Y/N. Charles was one of the best pilots I’ve ever known, but the Jerries caught us by surprise. There was nothing he could do.”
You sink onto the sofa, your legs suddenly unable to support you. “Tell me what happened,” you demand, your voice stronger than you feel. “I need to know everything.”
James nods, taking a deep breath. “We were on a routine patrol over the Channel. Everything seemed quiet, and then suddenly the sky was full of Messerschmitts. They came out of nowhere, diving out of the sun.”
He pauses, running a hand through his hair. “Charles ... he was incredible. He managed to take down two of them before they could even react. But there were just too many of them.”
You close your eyes, picturing Charles in the cockpit of his Spitfire, his face set with determination as he faced impossible odds. It’s an image that both comforts and devastates you.
“I saw his plane take a hit,” James continues, his voice rough with emotion. “He was trying to draw their fire away from the rest of us. The last thing I heard over the radio was him saying, ‘Tell Y/N I love her. In this life and the next.’”
A sob escapes you at those words, so achingly familiar. “He’s said that before,” you murmur, more to yourself than to James.
“I’m sorry?” James asks, leaning closer.
You shake your head, unsure how to explain the strange sense of déjà vu. “It’s nothing. Please, go on.”
James nods, though he looks at you curiously. “His plane went down fast after that. We searched for hours, but with the weather and the waves ...” He trails off, leaving the grim implication hanging in the air.
“So there’s still a chance?” You ask, clinging to a shred of hope. “If you didn’t find ... if there’s no body, he could still be out there, right?”
The pity in James’ eyes is almost unbearable. “Y/N, I know it’s hard to accept, but the chances of survival in those conditions ... it would take a miracle.”
You stand abruptly, pacing the small room. “Then I’ll believe in miracles,” you declare fiercely. “Charles is strong, and he’s a survivor. He wouldn’t leave me, not like this.”
James rises, reaching out to place a comforting hand on your shoulder. “I understand. Charles spoke of you often, you know. He loved you more than anything in this world.”
“Loves,” you correct him sharply. “He loves me. Present tense.”
James nods, not arguing. “Of course. I’m sorry, I should go. Is there anything you need? Anyone I can call for you?”
You shake your head, suddenly desperate to be alone. “No, thank you. I just ... I need some time.”
As you show James out, he pauses at the door. “Charles was more than just my commanding officer. He was my friend. If you need anything, anything at all, please don’t hesitate to ask.”
You manage a weak smile. “Thank you, James. That means a lot.”
As the door closes behind him, the flat seems to grow impossibly quiet. You lean against the wall, feeling as though you might shatter into a million pieces at any moment.
Your eyes fall on a framed photograph of Charles, taken just before he left for his last mission. His smile is radiant, his eyes full of life and love. You pick up the frame, tracing his features with a trembling finger.
“You promised,” you whisper to the image. “You promised you’d come back to me.”
A memory surfaces, unbidden. Charles, laughing as he spun you around in the park on your first date. “You know,” he had said, his eyes twinkling, “I have the strangest feeling I’ve known you forever.”
You had felt it too, that inexplicable sense of familiarity, of coming home. “Maybe we knew each other in a past life,” you had joked.
Charles had grown serious then, cupping your face in his hands. “If that’s true,” he had said softly, “then I’m certain I loved you just as much then as I do now.”
The memory is too much. Your knees buckle, and you sink to the floor, still clutching the photograph to your chest. Sobs wrack your body as the full weight of your loss crashes over you.
“Come back to me,” you plead between gasping breaths. “Please, Charles. Find me again. In this life or the next, just find me.”
As you kneel there, lost in your grief, a strange calm settles over you. Deep in your soul, you feel a certainty that this isn’t the end. Somehow, someway, you and Charles will find each other again.
You have to believe it. It’s the only thing that will get you through the long, dark nights ahead.
Berlin, 1961
The cold November air bites at Charles’ face as he paces along the western side of the Berlin Wall, his breath forming small clouds in the dim light of dawn. His eyes scan the imposing concrete barrier, searching for any sign of movement on the other side. He checks his watch for the hundredth time, willing the minutes to pass faster.
“Come on, Y/N,” he mutters under his breath. “Where are you?”
As if in answer to his plea, a small pebble arcs over the wall, landing at his feet. Charles’ heart leaps as he bends to retrieve it, unfolding the small piece of paper wrapped around it.
I’m here, the note reads in your familiar handwriting. Same spot. Be careful.
Charles moves quickly to a section of the wall where a drain pipe creates a small blind spot from the watchtowers. He pulls out a compact mirror, angling it to catch a glimpse of the other side.
“Y/N,” he whispers urgently. “Can you hear me?”
“Charles!” Your voice comes back, barely audible. “Thank God. I was worried you wouldn’t come.”
“I’ll always come for you,” he says, his voice thick with emotion. “Are you alright? Did anyone follow you?”
“I’m fine,” you assure him. “I was careful. But Charles, we don’t have much time. They’re planning to move me to Moscow next week. This might be our last chance.”
Charles feels his stomach drop. “Moscow? No, we can’t let that happen. We have to get you out of there tonight.”
“How?” You ask, a note of desperation in your voice. “The security has been tightened since the last escape attempt. There are patrols everywhere.”
Charles runs a hand through his hair, his mind racing. “I have a contact in the American sector. He might be able to help. But Y/N, it’s risky. If we’re caught ...”
“I know,” you interrupt. “But I can’t stay here anymore. I can’t keep pretending to be loyal to a system I despise. And I can’t bear to be separated from you any longer.”
His heart swells at your words. “I feel the same way. Okay, listen carefully. Meet me back here at midnight. Wear dark clothes and bring only what you can carry in a small bag. I’ll have everything else ready on this side.”
“Midnight,” you repeat. “I’ll be here. Charles ... I love you.”
“I love you too,” he says softly. “More than you could ever know. Be safe, Y/N. I’ll see you soon.”
As Charles turns to leave, he’s struck by a sudden, overwhelming sense of déjà vu. He’s had this feeling before when talking to you, as if your souls have known each other across lifetimes. Shaking off the strange thought, he hurries away to set the plan in motion.
The hours crawl by as Charles makes preparations. He meets with his American contact, secures false documents, and plots the safest route to the western sector. As night falls, he returns to the wall, his nerves on edge.
Midnight comes and goes. Charles waits, every muscle tense, straining to hear any sound from the other side. Five minutes pass. Then ten.
“Y/N?” He whispers urgently. “Are you there?”
Silence answers him. Charles feels panic rising in his chest. Something’s wrong.
Suddenly, the night is shattered by the sound of shouting and dogs barking. Floodlights blaze to life on the eastern side of the wall.
“No,” Charles breathes, horror washing over him. “Y/N!”
He presses himself against the wall, desperate to hear something, anything. The chaos on the other side grows louder. Then, cutting through it all, he hears your voice.
“Charles!” You cry out. “Charles, help me!”
Without thinking, Charles begins to climb the wall, heedless of the danger. He has to get to you, has to save you.
“Stop right there!” A gruff voice shouts in German. Charles freezes, realizing he’s been spotted by a guard on the western side.
“Please,” Charles begs in German, “You don’t understand. There’s someone over there who needs help. I have to-”
His words are cut off by the sharp crack of gunfire from the eastern side. Charles’ blood runs cold.
“Y/N!” He screams, no longer caring who hears him. “Y/N, answer me!”
But there’s no response. The night falls eerily quiet, broken only by the sound of hurried orders being given in Russian.
Charles slumps against the wall, his mind refusing to accept what his heart already knows. You’re gone. He was too late.
Hours pass in a blur. Charles remains by the wall, numb with grief and shock. As dawn breaks, he hears someone approaching from the western side.
“Mr. Leclerc?” A voice says softly. It’s his American contact. “I’m so sorry. We ... we heard what happened.”
Charles looks up, his eyes red-rimmed and hollow. “Tell me,” he says hoarsely.
The man sighs heavily. “She was caught trying to reach the wall. There was a struggle. The guards ... they didn’t hesitate to use lethal force.”
Each word is like a knife to Charles’ heart. “Did she suffer?” He asks, dreading the answer.
“It was quick,” the man assures him. “If it’s any consolation, our sources say her last words were about you. She said, ‘Tell Charles I’ll find him again. In this life or the next.’”
Charles closes his eyes, a single tear rolling down his cheek. Those words ... why do they sound so familiar?
“Mr. Leclerc,” the American says gently, “it’s not safe for you to stay here. We need to get you out of Berlin. There will be questions, investigations.”
But Charles barely hears him. His mind is reeling, flashes of memories — or are they dreams — flooding his consciousness. Ancient Rome, plague-ridden Genoa, revolutionary France, war-torn skies over the English Channel. In each scene, he sees your face, hears your voice promising to find each other again.
“This isn’t the end,” Charles murmurs, more to himself than to the confused American.
“I’m sorry?” The man asks.
Charles stands, a strange calm settling over him. “Nothing,” he says. “You’re right. We should go.”
As they walk away from the wall, Charles makes a silent vow. He will live, he will remember, and he will find you again. Somehow, somewhere, in another life, you will have your chance at happiness.
The Berlin Wall may have separated you in this life, but Charles is certain now that your souls are bound across lifetimes. And no wall, no war, no force on earth can keep you apart forever.
Abu Dhabi, 2025
The roar of engines fills the air as Charles crosses the finish line, clinching his first Formula 1 World Championship. The crowd erupts in cheers, but Charles barely hears them. His eyes scan the barriers, searching for one face among thousands.
As he brings his Ferrari to a stop, he sees you pushing through the throng of celebrating team members. Your eyes meet, and suddenly everything else fades away. Charles leaps from the car, not even bothering to remove his helmet as he runs towards you.
“We did it!” He shouts, sweeping you into his arms and spinning you around. “We actually did it!”
You laugh, tears of joy streaming down your face. “You did it, Charles! I’m so proud of you!”
He sets you down gently, finally removing his helmet. His hair is matted with sweat, his face flushed with exertion and excitement. To you, he’s never looked more handsome.
“No,” Charles says, cupping your face in his hands. “We did this together. I couldn’t have done any of it without you.”
Before you can respond, he pulls you into a passionate kiss. The world around you explodes with camera flashes and cheers, but neither of you notice. In this moment, you’re the only two people in the world.
As you finally break apart, Charles rests his forehead against yours. “I love you,” he murmurs. “In this life and-”
“And all the others,” you finish, a strange sense of déjà vu washing over you.
Charles pulls back slightly, his brow furrowed. “You feel it too, don’t you?” He asks. “Like we’ve said these words before?”
You nod, a bit dazed. “It’s strange. Sometimes when I look at you, I get flashes of ... I don’t know, other times, other places. But it’s always us, always together.”
A grin spreads across Charles’ face. “Maybe we’re soulmates,” he teases, but there’s a hint of seriousness in his eyes.
“Charles! Y/N!” A voice calls out. You turn to see Fred Vasseur approaching. “Sorry to interrupt, but Charles has to get weighed.”
Charles nods, then turns back to you. “Wait for me?” He asks.
You smile, giving him a quick kiss. “Always,” you promise.
As Charles is whisked away for obligations, you find yourself lost in thought. The strange feeling of familiarity, of a love that transcends time, has been with you since the day you met Charles. You’ve never mentioned it to him before, afraid he’d think you were crazy.
The podium ceremony is a blur of champagne and cheers. Charles’ radiant smile never wavers as he hoists the trophy, but his eyes keep finding you in the crowd. When it’s finally over, he makes a beeline for you, ignoring the clamoring reporters.
“Let’s get out of here,” he says, taking your hand.
You raise an eyebrow. “What about the press conference? The team celebrations?”
Charles shakes his head. “They can wait. Right now, I just want to be with you.”
Hand-in-hand, you sneak away from the track, laughing like teenagers as you dodge team members and journalists. Charles leads you to his car and soon you’re speeding down the winding roads of the Emirati capital.
“Where are we going?” You ask, the wind whipping through your hair.
Charles grins, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “You’ll see.”
As the sun begins to set, Charles pulls off onto a small dirt road. It leads to a secluded hilltop overlooking the valley below. The view is breathtaking, the entire landscape bathed in the warm glow of twilight.
“Charles,” you breathe, taking in the scene. “It’s beautiful.”
He comes to stand behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist. “Not as beautiful as you,” he murmurs, pressing a kiss to your neck.
You turn in his arms, struck once again by the intensity of his gaze. “What are we doing here, Charles?”
He takes a deep breath, suddenly looking nervous. “Y/N, do you remember the day we met?”
You smile at the memory. “Of course. I was lost in the paddock and you offered to help me find my way.”
“The moment I saw you,” Charles says softly, “it was like ... like coming home. Like I’d been searching for you my whole life without even knowing it.”
Your heart races as he continues. “And ever since then, I’ve had these ... dreams, I guess. Flashes of other lives, other times. But always with you.”
“Charles,” you whisper, hardly daring to believe what you’re hearing. “I’ve had them too. I thought I was going crazy.”
He shakes his head, a look of wonder on his face. “Not crazy. Just ... connected. In a way I can’t fully explain.”
Charles takes your hands in his, his thumbs tracing gentle circles on your skin. “I don’t know if it’s past lives or parallel universes or just some cosmic coincidence. But I do know this: in every life, in every version of reality, I love you. And I want to spend the rest of this life, and all the ones that come after, loving you.”
Your breath catches as Charles drops to one knee, pulling a small velvet box from his pocket. “Y/N,” he says, his voice thick with emotion, “will you marry me?”
Tears blur your vision as you nod emphatically. “Yes,” you manage to choke out. “Yes, of course I’ll marry you!”
Charles’ face breaks into a radiant smile as he slips the ring onto your finger. He stands, pulling you into a kiss that feels like coming home and embarking on a new adventure all at once.
As you break apart, both of you laughing and crying, a sense of rightness settles over you. Whatever strange connection you share, whatever cosmic forces have brought you together time and time again, you know that this — right here, right now — is where you’re meant to be.
“I love you,” you say, looking into Charles’ eyes. “In this life and all the others.”
“And I love you,” he replies, holding you close. “Always and forever.”
The future stretches out before you, full of promise and possibility. And though you don’t know what challenges it might bring, you’re certain of one thing: whatever comes, you’ll face it together.
Just as you always have, and always will.

Chapter 431 analysis. why everyone drew the wrong conclusions.
When the first spoiler frames from the volume came out, hell on earth began, some shippers rejoiced at the canonization, others cursed Horikoshi. I was initially going to say that all these wishes of dirty things towards the author are very ugly: at first, when 430 came out, the Katsudeku shippers rejoiced, and the Izuochi shippers wrote Horikoshi curses, and now it's the opposite, and I would like to ask him to behave decently. I was also upset by the leaks, not only because I liked the other ships, but also because I never saw Deku's romantic chemistry with Ochako, and I hate the trope "a good girl is in love with the main character, he doesn't think about her, but in the end they get married" BUT then the whole chapter came out. And no. In the finale, there is no Izuocha as a canonization at all. At all. And it’s not about the ships, but about the fact that many people didn’t understand what the author wanted to say. It's just that some have already gotten wound up and drunk from the "canonization", while others have started to wind themselves up with their disappointment and savor it, pulling things onto it that don't actually confirm their disappointment", that is, we have a crowd effect.
At first, without context, only by spoilers (it has already been confirmed that some of them are false), it seemed romantic in itself. That is, out of context, you can see how the hero notices a girl at a party after the timeskip, and can't take his eyes off her
Tumblr media
But in the whole chapter, this page followed this.
Tumblr media
And Deku doesn't look in love here, he looks... scared.
What moments before this does this page refer to and parallelize? And these? Deku, Tsuyu notice that Ochako is very ill and she hides her pain, and forces herself to smile.
And this is what parallels this image, which is confirmed by the context of the whole chapter from the very beginning: Ochako is in pain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8 years of pain and abscess and this is referenced in her conversation with Tsuyu before the party Next: Deku runs to Ochako as he ran after the war: to save her, he saw that his friend needed saving and urgently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ochako herself. You might think that this frame is a confirmation that she still loves Deku.
Tumblr media
But the whole chapter had a completely different context.
She remembers this moment as if out of a desire to remember it and feel it again, as if wanting to deceive herself that it is still like that. Just pay attention to the frames: Ochako is shown alone in the crowd, her gait is unsteady, she remembers things that happened 8 years ago out of nostalgia and most likely her wishes will be deceived, that she still has this feeling, because she feels empty. That's why she remembers her conversation with Izuku in chapter 428: Ochako longs for salvation again.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
In some form, she gets this salvation when in her head she pushes herself on behalf of Toga to live on. In some way, there is a romantic subtext here, Uraraka on behalf of Toga tells herself that she should let her go and try to experience something else, she herself feels a romantic subtext here, remembering her feelings, but are they in love with each other at the moment?
Tumblr media
VERY, very unlikely And, so as not to accuse me, I'm not even a Togarako shipper, because I don't like Toga.
Then the fandom carried on and everyone was charged by each other: Izuku left Bakugo and did not go with him to the agency. But A) it goes without saying that he always wanted to be on equal terms with Kacchan, and compete on equal terms, so he wants to quickly become an independent hero. B) and this is the most important thing. The car and their conversation in the car, which was not in the Friday spoilers, and most importantly the context of this conversation.
During the discussion between Kirishima, Katsuki and Izuku that Deku did not agree to work with Katsuki in the same agency, Deku looks at the signed card with All Might and smiles softly and thoughtfully. It would seem: Deku is happy for his friend
Tumblr media
But the Context. This is the same card that was next to Katsuki when he died, and Izuku saw him dead. And Izuku considered himself guilty of his death, that he was not there to protect him, he did not manage to arrive in time to save him, he allowed Toga to drag him into the portal, he was distracted, he did not save.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deku considers himself - guilty. And this is exactly what goes in the context of the conversation about Izuku not agreeing to be with him in the same agency, although he himself once wanted it. Izuku still thinks that he is too Guilty to be near Katsuki. Hence his running away from him, which Katsuki reads as if he is no longer needed.
Tumblr media
But who is Deku? The one who was told to keep his heart under lock and key in order to be the heir of One for All. The one who suppressed his emotions since childhood, and made others always believe that he was okay.
And no, this doesn't mean that Deku doesn't care about Kacchan and doesn't love him (in what sense it doesn't matter), Deku thinks that Katsuki would be better off without him and doesn't understand at all how much he hurts Katsuki. Deku - hides his pain after all the traumas of the war still behind a smile on his face, and this is exactly what Uraraka does in the same chapter. That is why Izuku immediately notices that something is wrong with her at the party, because he feels the same way. The very context of how he looks at Uraraka, the guys discuss couples and a happy life, but what Deku remembers before turningon Ochaka? Shigaraki and his injury.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
About Deku's blushing: when they clash, he probably blushes because of the sexual context, but during the promise to spend more time with Ochako, this is most likely not the case: it's a promise to save her and shame for himself for not noticing that she needed help earlier, as well as some kind of "self-conviction", when a person tries to convince himself of something that he can handle or deceive himself, his face often heats up: after all, Deku can't "save" himself.
That's why he is the one who reads Uraraka's feelings, their traumas are similar. And as a hero who can't stand aside when someone is in trouble, he runs to give her what she needs: help and salvation. This is not a chapter about the canonization of ships, these are the traumas that haunt them already in adulthood and the story about them.

Dabi and Shigaraki Soulmate AU
Dabi
Your soulmate's name is tattooed on your skin
you live in a world where everyone over the age of 16 has a name written on their body somewhere, belonging to their soulmate
always an exciting day, and you were ecstatic as you searched your body in the mirror to find the words as they popped up
soon, along your collar bone, the name you were looking for finally appeared
Touya Todoroki
you had heard of the todoroki family, Endeavor was the number 2 hero after all, and you knew he had children. Possibly this soulmate was one of them?
however you found very little information on his children's identities, but you were hopeful that you would find something eventually
however, you do eventually find a few articles from a few years ago that tell you the worst news you could imagine - touya todoroki had died in a fire
it's been years now, you're in your early 20s, and have mostly accepted the fact that you'd never get your soulmate. you hoped to find someone one day you could still love like one, but most people aren't super into dating someone with a visible reminder that they don't belong together
over these years, you've made your way into being a small villain as well. no one serious, it happened mostly out of necessity, but you're a villain nonetheless
which helps lead you to an almost dorky looking little group of villains, rightfully called the league of villains to keep up with the dorky appearance
none of them really seem all that serious, kind of just seem like a bunch of people who have no where else to go, which you can't judge them for
toga, a cute younger girl who had quickly turned friendly with everyone there, was fascinated with the idea of soulmates. you didn't blame her, she had only recently gotten her name, but this led her to asking everyone if they had met theirs yet, what their names are, anything about them.
most people didn't want to talk about it, and the ones who did didn't have anything interesting to say. your leader insisted that soulmates were a waste of time, and the emo looking dude by him agreed
you felt bad that toga wasn't getting the conversations she was looking for though, and you decided you'd show her yours.
"Touya todoroki? isn't that that pro heros last name? Do you think your soulmate is a hero?"
you shook your head, smiling sadly as you told her "no, he's been dead for years. never even met the dude"
she frowned, feeling sad for you, and changing the convo made you miss the wide eyed stare directed at you from across the room
dabi, who had caught your name earlier but blew it off as a coincidence since you only said your first name, was actually stunned
when he was younger, he dreamed of a happy life with his soulmate, but after waking up from the coma he barely ever spared a thought about them
now, here you were, right in front of him and clearly sad about the idea that you didn't have a soulmate
and for the most part, he was so fucking grateful that you had no way of knowing who he was. hearing his name made the smallest part of him want to get to know you, but he has more important things to do. plus, realistically, he doesn't know you. he doesn't owe you anything
so he never said anything. never even gave a hint of who he was. you two did get close over time, always relying on one another for help and support
it wasn't until probably a year later when in a fight dabi gets badly wounded, he's unconscious, and you're panicking, where things begin to unravel
he clearly has a huge gash in his torso, and your main focus is stopping the bleeding, so you cut open his clothes as you need to and begin fixing him up as best as you can
in the middle of doing this, you see what looks like a tattoo along his ribs. and you think nothing of it, till you realize it's his soulmate mark. he's never mentioned anything about his soulmate, and you couldn't help your twinge of jealousy at the idea of someone out there being his soulmate.
even if you couldn't have your real soulmate, you've come to really care about dabi since you've met him. you don't know if you love him, but you at least have a little secret crush
so, you take a peek, and you get dizzy when you see what it says.
that's your name. your full name. exact.
you're stunned, speechless, can't even process how you feel right now.
and as dabi starts to wake up, and he asks what you're doing, you can't help but weakly say "Touya?"
he mentally curses, immediately realizing you saw his mark. but he can't do anything about it now, and he's kind of stuck laying here with you as you keep him from dying
"...yeah, that's me"
you're confused, you ask him why he never told you, you're rambling out questions and he can't even keep up with it.
'listen, when we met, I heard toga read that name off your chest. I see it almost every day. I've known this whole time, but before, and even now, I have plans I have to carry out. back then I didn't tell you because I couldn't be bothered to care with you, but now I didn't want to tell you because I wouldn't know what to do. I can't promise love, or even being alive, and it seemed easier for you just thinking he, or I, was dead."
you stared at him, processing everything
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have looked without your permission... but, I want you to know that I won't force anything on you. If you want a relationship, I'm more than happy. I'm happy with whatever you give me, even if nothing changes. I just ask that you don't push me away."
he nodded, and told you he promised to keep you around as much as possible, and that was that
he still didn't know what he wanted to do with you, but you grew more attached every day until you could say with certainty that soulmate or not, you were in love with him.
nothing would come of this for a long time though, maybe a few nights of make out sessions with too much sexual tension, but no real talk of feelings or relationships.
you grew kind of comfortable with it like this, even if sometimes you wanted a more stereotypical relationship with all the dumb sappy stuff, you had thought you didn't even have a soulmate for so long that just being near him was a blessing
dabi decided he didn't want to think of you as a soulmate. he didn't want to think he had any sort of obligation to love you or treat you a certain way. if anything was going to come of this, it would be of his own will. not the universes.
which is why it took so long, dabi could always admit you were attractive, and over time you were a great friend and someone he could truly care about, but he didn't know If he LOVED you, he didn't know if he could feel that serious for you
so it took some time, and took some real thinking for him decipher his weird complex feelings towards you, until eventually he decided that yes, he could love you.
but he wanted to wait until he did love you to do anything. and also, your existence didn't change the fact that he had plans and goals he needed to see through
so now, he's just done his big reveal, now the whole world knows who he is, and even though he didn't kill his brother like planned, he still deems it a somewhat success
he's elated to at least have come this far, he could do the rest next time, but right now all he can focus on is how happy you are for him. both for him and that he came out okay somehow. he had told you about his past in little bits, so you didn't need to 'comfort' him in any way, even though it hurt you to think about how awful his life has been
but he has his head on your lap as he stares up at your face, focused as you help him fix the staples for the new scars that have formed from this fight, and he felt so truly comfortable right now.
he has no stress, he had no anxiety about the future, it was just you and him right now.
'I love you, you know'
he spoke so casually, as if you hadn't been waiting your entire life to hear him say those words
in your head you were screaming, crying, everything. but all you could say was
'I love you too'
Shigaraki
You and your soulmate can communicate in your dreams
ever since you were little, every single dream you had consisted of you and a little boy, together in a white room
some of your furthest memories of these dreams were quiet as the two of you kind of just stared at each other, saying nothing
but you recall as one day, you finally said hi. you told him your name, and asked his.
he seemed shy, and nervously scratched at his neck as he answered you, telling you his name was 'Tenko Shimura'
there's blurry memories of you talking to him more and more, learning more about this kid, until he disappeared for a couple weeks
to you, these are just dreams, so you don't think too much of it until he eventually does come back but very different than you remember
the shy expression on his face turned into one of shell shock almost, and his hair had turned completely white
you tried asking what happened, but for a good few weeks (even though he only popped up maybe 5 times at most), he didn't even look at you.
eventually, he did speak, but all he really said was that he got his quirk, and he did something bad
for years after that, you rarely ever saw him. as you grew older you assumed it was because you were growing out of your 'imaginary friend' phase, but every night your dreams always consisted of that empty white room.
eventually you reach high school, and your mental health takes a tank. you can barely sleep, you can barely do anything. so you end up on a night owl schedule, sleeping all day on weekends, up all night every night, and barely sleeping on school days.
and for the first time in probably years, you saw tenko again.
both of you seemed actively surprised at seeing one another, and you can't help but notice how much he's grown as well
he's obviously older, probably the same age as you, his hair has gotten a little longer, his skin doesn't seem to have improved any which makes you a little sad that he hasn't seen a doctor yet, and he looks unhealthily lanky
he's clearly eyeing you too, he kind of forgot that he ever had a partner of sorts in this weird dream world having not seen you in so long
'why are you here?'
'I don't know, because I'm asleep right now i guess'
'do you always sleep during the day? I'm guessing your in Japan too, right?'
'I sleep whenever I want, but usually I'm up all night. and yes, im in japan'
this made you realize something, so you asked 'are you a real person?'
'unfortunately'
this very well could be just a part of your dream. but it makes sense that he very much is another living person. so you want to test it
'hey, I wanna try something. would you be willing to try and go to sleep at the same time?'
he made a weird face at you, clearly confused, 'why would I do that?'
'because this is cool! if you really are a real person, and not just some dream boy, then it'd be fun to have someone to talk to. and if we sleep at the same time, we have all night together'
'why should I care'
'do you have anything better to do in here?'
he was silent, you were right. your dream world wasn't kind enough to give you anything to do, and even tho it didn't necessarily feel like you were in there for hours, it still was a good while to be sitting in an empty white room doing nothing
'fine. what time'
figuring that the only respective time was at night, you had to shift your whole schedule around again, but this led to more frequent meetings with each other
it wasn't every night, there were some nights where he couldn't be bothered to go to bed, or you were too busy to do so, but you saw each other a lot more consistently now
most of the time, you were leading these conversations, asking him questions about his life and stuff, and he answered fairly vaguely unless it was something he actually cared to talk about
which you found was video games. that's all he really did, especially League of Legends
so you made an effort to play some of these games, that way you could understand what he was talking about or talk about the lore with him
for a couple years, you two were best dream friends, even though you never met irl. you always considered asking if you could meet, but he seemed nervous when you asked if you could actually play a game together at some point so you dropped it
as much as he had grown to love these dream times, he was scared to meet you in person. in dreams, there was still a layer of protection between you and him. in real life, you actually get to meet the true and real him.
plus, as he got older, AFO had more and more expectations for him, and soon the League of Villains was formed
this caused him to be busy a lot more, which meant he slept less, which caused his time in the dream world to dwindle again
you understood, you're 20 years old and have your own things to do, but you do miss him when he isn't there
the highlight of your day is seeing him, honestly
however, a few months later, you're scrolling on your phone and you see some news about villains, nothing new really, but a picture included peaks your interest
it's kind of blurry, but the man in the picture of one of the members of this group or villains looks very similar to tenko
and within the next few weeks, as the league becomes more active, more pictures come out and eventually you're positive - that's your dream boy
you honestly don't really care he's a villain all that much, you aren't particularly fond of most heroes, and you can't help but want to go to him
so, you find a way, and with stains message sparking more people to want to join the league it makes it a lot easier for you to do so
as you make your way into this weird little bar, you don't see him at first, you see a few other members who mostly don't really care that you're there. which is fine to you, you're not here for them
you're ready to ask one of them where Tenko is, however, until he turns the corner and makes his way into the room
luckily for him, he notices you before you can yell out his name in excitement, and he loudly says your name in confusion
you run over to him, smiling huge seeing him. you open your mouth, ready to speak, but before you can he tells you to come with him, so you do
he leads you deeper into the base, into what you suspect is his room. it's kind of gross, with dirty clothes and trash everywhere, but you ignore it for now
'why are you here'
it kind of hurts your feelings that he isn't as excited to see you as you are him, but he never has been the most excitable person, so you try to keep that in mind
'I found out a while ago that you were here, and I was really hoping that it wasn't some doppelganger or that it wasn't just a coincidence that this dream person happened to look like a real person.'
'you shouldn't be here. you're not a villain'
'you don't know that. you never told me you were a villain'
he basically went :/ at you, he didn't know what to think really
on one hand, yes, he was excited to see you. but he didn't know what to do with you here. you didn't seem like a villain, maybe your quirk could be useful somehow, but did you even want to actually join the league?
plus, now there is no safety net between you two. and he's terrified. you're the only 'friend' he's ever had, even if it was in his head his whole life, and he doesn't want you to hate him or leave like everyone else
'if you stay here, you have to help. you answer to me. you work for my cause.'
'I can do that'
'also, my name... it's Tomura Shigaraki now. so don't use,, that other name'
you decided not to ask why, and just accepted the situation now.
so from day 1, you were his biggest supporter and friend. whatever your morals were before, you didn't really care now. you were happy here, with this weird little family, and especially with Tomura
every day while not working you were spending time with him, he finally let you play games with him, you were both happy
he started to learn just how much he truly cared about you, you're the only person he truly feels safe with. he feels like himself, you give him the chance to feel happiness instead of just be consumed with hatred every day
'hey, y/n, do you ever wonder why we dream of each other?'
you had gone to sleep a few hours ago, but woke up when you felt weight on your bed, and opened your eyes to see Tomura sitting there staring blankly at the wall
'yeah, I haven't really heard of it before, and I haven't asked anyone since I was little. but they all told me it's just dreams, nothing special'
he said nothing, but he turned to look at you now.
'but, I feel like it has to mean something. something important. it led me to the most important person in my life.'
he couldn't help but smile as you said that, and he nodded, 'I agree. I used to not care about it that much. but I'm glad I got to meet you, in my dreams and especially in real life.'
he was being especially open about his feelings for once, which you loved, but it was also confusing
'tomura, are you okay?'
he was quiet again, this time clearly thinking. you let him, fiddling with your fingers as you waited. you were nervous for some reason
'I don't know. I don't know what this feeling is. Just, you make me happy. nothing else makes me happy. you feel... safe, and warm. everyone else is so meaningless, but I don't know if I could keep going without you. I don't want you going on missions because you might not come back. I want to kill anyone who takes you away from me.'
he was rambling, clearly speaking his thoughts as they came, and your heart was melting the entire time. you didn't want to assume, but you were hopeful
'tomura, do you love me?'
that clicked in his brain. he couldn't word these feelings correctly in his head, but love sounded right. as far as he knew what love was supposed to be, he figured that yes, he did love you
so he nodded again.
'tomura.. I love you too'
he didn't know what to do now. he just sat there for a while, thinking about what this meant.
'can I hug you?'
'you know I can't touch you'
'it's okay, I trust you.'
as you hugged, you eventually felt the palm of his hand against your back, knowing he was being especially careful not to touch you.
'I'm going to let go now, if you want to move your hand.'
'not yet. I like this'

shigaraki tomura x fem!reader⋆。°✩ — insistent and unwanted touching from dabi, angst, shiggy keeps freezing up, 4.9k words
Tumblr media
It was a typical night at the hideout. You can hear the sounds of the city roaring in the distance from your abandoned cabin in the woods. You are sitting on a chewed-out sofa, legs curled beneath you and head resting on Toga’s shoulder. She sits next to you, a thin blanket strewn over your lap.
On the couch adjacent, Shigaraki and Spinner are playing video games. You watch them with fascination. Well, you watch Shigaraki with fascination. There was something so interesting about the way he was hunched over, the way his blue wavy hair fell over his face so that only his red eyes were visible. His fingers move the controller, their grip relaxed. You like the way he licked his chapped lips every so often.
You are in a daze as you stare at him, the object of your affection, your thoughts. He was the man that you had secretly been in love with ever since you joined the league. Not like you could ever tell him anyway, oh but how you longed to. You remain oblivious to the world around you, solely focusing on him.
You don’t even realise that Dabi has plopped down next to you until Toga shifts back and your head slips down her chest. Blinking away your stupor, you lift yourself up and off her, looking into her golden eyes. She smiles at you as you lean back, your body coming far too close to Dabi’s than you are comfortable with. You turn around quickly to look at him. He gives you a lazy smile before chuckling low, seeing how his closeness freaks you out.
“What’s wrong, doll? Aren’t you happy to see me?” He coos. You laugh nervously, shifting back from him and towards Toga. You don’t dare to tear your gaze away from his. Those icy eyes burning into yours.
He clears his throat and continues, “That’s not very convincing, dear.” He leans over to you, making you fall into Toga. She yelps from behind you but it’s too late, Dabi’s body ghosts yours, the blanket doing nothing to keep him off you. His face is close to yours and you can smell the convenience store ramen you all had for dinner on his breath.
“D-Dabi!” You stutter. Your hands are pressed into the cushions of the couch, head reared back so that you still meet his gaze.
He laughs, “What is it, dollface? Don’t want anyone to catch us?” You move one of your hands to grip Toga’s calf, squeezing it in a silent plea for her to save you from Dabi’s unwanted attention. She gets the message and you watch as she shoves Dabi’s shoulder backwards. The strength of her push is minimal, but he shifts back, those eyes still piercing into you.
She pouts and says, “Dabi, don’t be such a meanie. [Y/n]-chan doesn’t want you right now. She obviously wants me.” Toga wraps her arms around you, hands gripping opposite shoulders. You let out an anxious chuckle, your throat suddenly dry. You break out of her hold and get off the couch, rounding to stare at them, your hands on your hips.
“Come on, guys. It’s not funny!” You say. Your brows are knit together, teeth grinding as you watch them laugh at you.
Dabi chuckles, “It’s pretty funny, darling.” Toga slaps his arm lightly as she giggles. The wrinkles only deepen on your forehead as they continue to laugh and make fun of you for how sensitive you are. You can’t help it! You know that Shigaraki could care less about what’s going on between all of you if anything was going on at all. But you wanted to make sure that if he was suddenly paying attention, you would seem as single as possible, ripe for the taking. You huff in frustration as your fellow villains collect themselves.
A warm hand grasps your shoulder and you look up to see Sako, still in his villain costume as always. He looks down at you all from beneath his mask and sighs, “What are you up to now? Giving [y/n] trouble again, huh?” Toga giggles as she shakes her head vigorously to the side. Dabi seems unfazed, stretching himself out on the couch, that lazy smile on his mismatched lips one more.
“They were,” you say, pouting as you look up at Sako. He gives you a reassuring smile before scolding Dabi and Toga playfully. You all end up back on the couch, laughing and arguing and then laughing again as the night passes.
It’s getting pretty late now, but you’re not tired yet. Your gaze wanders over to Shigaraki more often than you’d like to admit, seeing him still focused on playing his game.
You’re on the verge of spacing out again, your mind getting carried away by all of these thoughts of him, when Toga squeals, “Why don’t we play a game?” She squeezes your arm and shakes you in her sudden excitement. “Oh oh! Let’s play truth or dare.”
She smiles wide, staring at all of you. Dabi laughs derisively as he says, “Yea, that game is for losers.”
Toga pokes her tongue out at him, retorting, “You’re scared of what happened last time we p—”
“Okay, shut up!” He says harshly, giving the bubbly girl before him a dangerous look.
You chuckle, remembering how the last time you all played truth or dare, Dabi got dared to wear an ‘#1 Endeavor Fan’ cap into a gas station and lost his shit, almost setting the entire place alight, when the man behind the desk commented on it. It had been diabolically hilarious at the time, and you were about to erupt into a fit of laughter thinking about how much Dabi seemed to despise Endeavor. Part of you is curious whether Dabi really hates all pro heroes that much or if it’s just an Endeavor thing, as it seems to be an Endeavor-only thing.
Sako pats Dabi’s knee, earning him a glare from the younger man. He says, “Well, you kids have fun. I’m going to bed now.” He stands up and bows to you before leaving the room. You watch him leave and with a smile, you turn back to Dabi and Toga who are bickering over playing truth or dare.
You say, “Let’s ask Spinner and Shiggy if they wanna play.” Toga nods furiously while Dabi glares at both of you with narrow eyes. You smile at them and get off the couch, heading over to where Spinner and Shigaraki are sitting. You stand next to Spinner, eyeing him and then Shigaraki nervously. They don’t seem to notice your presence until Spinner huffs and throws down his controller.
“Every time,” he sighs. You are beginning to think that maybe now isn’t the best time and begin to back away slowly when Spinner notices you.
“Oh, [y/n]. What is it?” He asks.
You smile at him and say, “Uh well, Toga and I wanna play truth or dare, and so we were wondering if you two wanted to play as well.” You’re fiddling with your hands behind your back as you watch Spinner turn and nudge Shigaraki. The blue-haired man seems confused like he’s been snapped out of a daze with the movement.
“What?” He says, his voice flat and uninterested.
Spinner elbows him and points to you, saying, “[Y/n] asked if you wanted to play truth or dare.” Shigaraki sighs, finally tearing his gaze from the TV. He lowers his controller to his lap as he looks at you. His gaze is bored yet it has you internally screaming. You feel like he knows. Like he can see how nervous he makes you and ultimately, knows that you have a fatal crush on him. Was he just being nice by not saying anything? You think. You can feel your face heating up, cheeks reddening, as his eyes linger on you. And then he looks away.
“No,” he murmurs. He raises his controller and resumes the game, once again ignorant of your presence.
Spinner sighs and says, “I’ll play.”
You giggle, “Yay!” Toga claps from her spot on the other mangled couch seeing Spinner coming over with you.
In the end, you, Toga, Spinner, and Dabi end up playing truth or dare. Shigaraki was still going at his video game across the living room as you all sat on the floor in a circle, staring at each other with cautious eyes. You had been playing for a few rounds now and nothing too crazy had happened so far. At the moment, it was Toga’s go.
“Dabi,” she says, locking eyes with him. “Truth or dare?” He stares at her, clearly still hesitant to pick ‘dare’ since it was Toga who gave him the Endeavor-cap dare last time. After 30 seconds or so, she whines, “Come on, Dabiiii. Just pick one.”
Dabi grumbles “truth” which makes you all laugh.
Once all of you calm down, Toga asks, “Out of everyone in the room, who would survive a zombie apocalypse?” Dabi sighs and pinches his nose bridge. Toga giggles as you wait for his response.
At last, he sighs, “Not you, vampire. Probably Jin—”
“Jin’s not in the room, silly!” She squeals.
Dabi groans, “Still not you.” He looks around the room, seeming to assess each one of you including your boss in the back for your zombie apocalypse survival skills. He finally says, “You Spinner because you look like one.”
“Ha ha very funny,” Spinner drawls.
You shake your head and say, “He doesn’t even, Dabi. Stop being a dick.”
“When am I not?” He chuckles, the sound sudden and short. You roll your eyes at him and lean back, your back hurting from slouching over your knees.
Toga chimes in, “Okay, okay, your turn Dabi!” You look back at him, seeing him grinning at you like he was up to no good.
He says, “[Y/n]. Truth or dare?” You can hear the challenge in his voice, daring you to be bold and to pick the latter. You usually picked ‘truth’ (boring👎) but this time, you were feeling a little adventurous.
You say with a smirk, “Dare.” The look Dabi gives you tells you that you have made the wrong decision.
He grins wide as he says, “I dare you to kiss one person in this room.” Your jaw drops and your eyes widen as you stare at him. The room has gone silent. You can’t even hear the clicking of Shigaraki’s controller. Your mind is whirring with a million thoughts. You berate yourself for being so dumb and falling into his trap. ‘Trap’ because obviously, you’re supposed to kiss him. You and Spinner were just friends, Shigaraki wasn’t playing, and Toga… Well…
“Toga,” you say frantically as you look at her. She shakes her head. “But—”
“Sorry, [y/n]. My kisses are reserved right now,” she says pouting.
“For who?!” Your eyes are wild and the pitch of your voice is high. You stare at her in complete and utter confusion as she giggles.
“It’s a secret,” she says coyly. She leans over to you from across the circle, her hand cupping your ear as she whispers into it, “Do you think I can still see Izu-chan tonight?” You scowl and pull back, glaring at her. The fact that Izuku had won her affections just by being cute and bloodied up, and you hadn’t— It didn’t mean much to you usually as that wasn’t how you felt about Toga. But right now, when you needed her ambiguous sexuality the most and you couldn’t take advantage of it!
“Fine,” you huff as you sit back. You catch sight of Dabi’s smirk and you just know that things weren’t going to work out well.
“Looks like you’re all out of options, doll face,” Dabi coos. His grin widens, grinding your gears.
You pout as you say, “I’m not gonna kiss you, Dabi.”
He groans, “Don’t be such a brat, [y/n]. It’s just a dare.”
Unfortunately, you two are seated next to each other and without warning, he wraps his arms around you and pulls you towards him. You let out a squeal, feeling like the fun and games have gone too far. Maybe that’s how it felt for Dabi last time, you think.
“Dabi!” You shriek. Your hands are on his chest, trying to push him away from you. But you’re easily overpowered by his strength, and soon, you’re nestled in his lap. You look down at him with big, frightened eyes and pouty lips. You liked Dabi, sure. He was your… friend? Your fellow league member. But you had no romantic or sexual interest in him, and the last thing you wanted to do while your crush was in the room was kiss another man.
His hand is at the back of your neck, pulling your face closer to his. You clamp your eyes shut and lips into a hard line, hoping that it will all stop. You feel his nose brush against yours and you let out a small whine. You’re trying to mentally prepare yourself for what’s about to happen when—
“Dabi,” Shigaraki says, his tone cold. Not flat. Cold. The same cold it always was when he became annoyed. You open one eyelid and then the other, seeing your crush standing behind Toga, looking down at you two. You take this opportunity to get away from Dabi. He grunts as you scamper off him and run and hide Shigaraki. Your hands grip his arm as your body ghosts his. You can feel how his muscles tense beneath your touch.
You peek out from behind Shigaraki, seeing how he stares Dabi down. You gulp nervously, unsure of what to do or say.
Shigaraki says between tight teeth, “She doesn’t want to kiss you.” You watch as Dabi scoffs and rolls his eyes.
He retorts, “Yea well, you’re not much better, freak.” You can see just how hard Shigaraki is clutching his jaw, the veins popping out from beneath his dry skin.
It’s only a few moments before he turns around to look at you. Your hands fall from his arm as he moves. Those red eyes stare down at you. Within them, you can see his internal conflict. You can tell that right now he’s overthinking, wondering whether you want to kiss him, whether you’re repulsed by the monster he believes he is, whether you want to run away from him or cry or scream.
You shake your head and say his name quietly. The sound of it leaving your lips draws his eyes down to your mouth. His tongue darts out across his dry lips and you wonder whether he’s kissed anyone before.
You shift closer to him, testing the waters. He’s frozen, unable to move. His mind can’t form a coherent thought with you so close to him. You begin to think that this was a mistake, slowly shifting back to put some space between you when you gasp.
Shigaraki’s hand grips your bicep, holding it firmly. His mouth is open slightly and he looks like he’s going to say something, but no words come out. You nod, urging him to go on, but he can’t. He physically just can’t. He feels like he’s going to ruin everything right now. He keeps thinking that he’ll slip up and suddenly, you’ll be gone. Nothing more than ashes floating and falling in the breeze. The room is suddenly stifling and he can barely breathe.
You bite the side of your lower lip subconsciously as you gaze into his eyes. You can’t take the silence anymore. You can’t handle not knowing how he feels or what he wants, especially at this moment.
You whisper, “Shiggy. If you’re going to kiss me then just kiss me, please.”
You fail to realise that Toga is leaning over to you two from her spot on the floor, craning her neck up so that she can hear what you’re saying. But your voice is so quiet, she can’t catch it. She looks back at Dabi and Spinner and shakes her head, pouting and shrugging.
Shigaraki clears his throat, gently pulling you by the arm closer to him. You’re obedient, your body shifting to press against his. The hardness of him beneath his thin, black shirt shocks you. Your [e/c] eyes are huge and round as they stare up into Shigaraki’s. Your breathing is hitched, the reality of this all dawning on you. You are really about to kiss him! The man you’ve been obsessing over since day one. Who you’ve been trying to get close to all this time. He’s drawing you in, holding you in his hands, slowly leaning down. Your faces are getting nearer and nearer.
Your noses brush and you close your eyes, feeling his hair tickling your forehead. You can feel his chapped lips brush yours. A feeling that you’ve imagined far too many times. One that feels much better in real life than it did in your dreams. As his lips finally press against yours, you sigh.
The kiss is slow and soft, either party unsure of how things should proceed. Locked between your lips were far too many emotions left unsaid. Your hands tightened into fists, grabbing onto his long sleeve while his hands remained on your arms.
You pulled him further down, pressing your lips harder into his. Shigaraki’s eyes open wide and they stare down at you in shock. He freezes up, wishing that he could just decay himself in this moment. He was embarrassing himself beyond repair right now with how stiff he was.
Feeling him tense up, you pull away. Your eyes flutter open and you see his bulging out of their sockets; the redness at the top of his ears and pink dusting of his sallow cheeks is noticed. You gulp nervously, screaming at yourself in your mind for going too far. And now you’ve made things awkward. You want to burst into tears seeing how uncomfortable he is right now.
A whine escapes your throat as you step back, Shigaraki letting you go with ease. You look down at the rest of the league on the floor, their eyes curious (Dabi’s narrow) at what has just occurred in the living room. You look back up at Shigaraki, his hand outstretched mid-air towards you. His mouth is slightly open once more as he stares at you.
You run off, racing up the stairs to your bedroom. Your footsteps thud down the hall, and you don’t care if you wake anyone up (probably Jin, as he’s such a light sleeper). Once you make it to your bedroom, you swing the door open and then slam it shut. You plonk face-first down onto your bed and start to sob uncontrollably. The sadness wrecks through your body, leaving you gasping and trembling into your thin, blood-stained quilt.
Meanwhile, Shigaraki stands there, unmoving, as he processes what just happened. Toga gets up and stands next to him. She leans over and waves her hand in front of her face, saying, “Shigaraki-kun, are you okay?”
Shigaraki still stands there, replaying the memory of you running out. The look on your face, the glassiness of your doe eyes. It hurts him in a way that he hasn’t been hurt in a very long time.
At some point, things began to feel numb, the hatred and rage blending. But since you had come into his life, you had made him feel all of these foreign emotions. You had brought light into his life with your sweet laugh and teasing. You had come to mean so much more to him than he ever thought you would. And watching you stumble out, away from him, running from him. That was a pain unlike any other. To know that he had made you feel uncomfortable, unwanted, rejected even, was so much worse than any kind of repulsion you could have felt for him.
With all eyes on him, he walked out of the room and up the stairs. His pace was even but his heart and mind were racing. He could hear the sick slosh of his blood gushing in his ears once he stopped at your door. The sounds of your sobs clear over his panic. He knocked on the door, the skin taut, almost splitting across his knuckles.
You pushed yourself up, hearing the knock on the door. You felt so defeated that you couldn’t even sit up, let alone open the door for whoever it was. It's not like you wanted to see anyone anyway. All you wanted right now was to wallow in your pain and sadness, in the grief that the man you had come to… love… didn’t feel the same about you. How could he? You had felt the way he froze up. There was no way that he liked you. Not even a little bit. If he did, he wouldn’t have reacted like that, right?
You heard someone rap on the door again. This time, the sound was louder. You sniffled and sighed into your quilt, groaning out, “Come in.” The words were muffled by your blankets but the door pushed open and heavy footsteps shuffled against the wooden floorboards.
You whimpered, “Dabi, I-I swear if that’s you, I’m going to break your fu—”
“[Y/n].”
You push yourself up and sit back. Turning your head to the side, you see those red eyes trained on you. You let out a whine before burying yourself back into your blankets, crying even harder into them.
What did he want? You think. To see how much he hurt you? To tease you for being ‘too sensitive’? For fuck’s sake, of course, you were sensitive. This was the man you had been ogling every chance you got since you met. The man whose words you would write down in your journal to savour the memory of him talking (bonus points if it was to you).
“[Y/n],” he repeats. You can feel the edge of your bed dip with his weight. You (somehow) cry even harder into your bed, your body shaking like a dog that had been left out on a freezing, winter night. You felt like a dog that had been left out on a winter night, too. Your love was unrequited. You felt abandoned. Your legs are curled up, your body in a foetus position as you air out your sorrows.
You gasp and choke on your sobs as you feel a hand squeeze your ankle.
Shigaraki’s hand.
His grip is loose, touch warm. You’re gasping and sniffling and coughing as you feel his fingers trail across the delicate skin, dipping to your Achilles tendon and then back over the bone of your ankle, drawing small circles on your flesh. The movement was slow and soothing. It helps you quiet down so that now, you’re only sniffling and hiccuping every couple of minutes. Your hands clench your quilt in tiny fists as you focus on breathing.
Shigaraki says softly, “I’m sorry.” You gasp as you strain to hear his next words that are barely audible. “For ruining everything.” You start hiccuping, the sobs picking back up at his words. You begin to cry again, feeling even more sad and confused. What did he mean by ‘ruin everything’? You think. Did he mean your relationship as league members? With him as your boss? You didn’t understand. These feelings of helplessness made you cry even more intensely.
The guilt and anguish Shigaraki was feeling only swelled seeing how much he was upsetting you. He was internally shouting at himself, telling himself to leave you alone because he was only making it worse. But for some reason, he wanted to lay down beside you and hold you, cuddle with you until you told him everything that was on your mind.
He wanted to listen to you yap away. He wanted you to scream at him and be angry with him, to tell him how awful of being he was, how much you hated him, how much he disgusted you. The last thing he wanted was to see you like this. Your beautiful soul crushed as you cried and cried.
His hand left your ankle and came to stroke your hair as he leaned over your trembling frame. You looked up through teary eyes to see him staring down at you, the look in his eyes a mixture of sadness and anger and something else… hatred. Not for you but for himself and how badly he hurt you.
You turn and lie on your back. Still sniffling, you look up at Shigaraki with those big, teary eyes. You choke on your breath. His hand gently cups your cheek, thumb brushing over the wetness of your tears.
Shigaraki sighs, “I’m just making it worse.” You shake your head, hiccuping. Your fingers wrap around his wrist. You can feel the beat of his pulse, the heat of his touch.
You sniffle as you say, “Sh-Shiggy, I-I don’t under-understand.” You choke on your sobs, unable to continue.
What he does next shocks you. Shigaraki leans over your body and props himself up on his elbows as his hands cup your cheeks. His face is close to yours. You hiccup, your lips trembling as you press them together. He leans down and kisses your forehead with shy lips, your nose brushing against his jaw.
The feeling of his dry lips, their cracked surface, on your sweaty skin has you hyperventilating through your sniffles. He pulls back but instead of giving you space to breathe, he presses his forehead to yours. His fingers tangle in your locks as they push your messy hair back from your angelic face. Even now, with cheeks and eyes puffy, nose red and snotty, you are still the most beautiful woman Shigaraki has ever seen.
You are the only woman he has ever desired.
You shut your eyes, allowing stray tears to fall as you bask in the feeling of Shigaraki so close to you. You wish that your nose wasn’t so blocked so that you could smell his musk. You wish that you would stop hiccuping and choking out sobs because you feel like you’re being too loud and ruining the moment.
But Shigaraki doesn’t think that at all. He wants to hear it. He wants to see your pain. And he doesn’t ever want to forget it. He wants to add it to the vault of hatred and anger locked within him. Fuel for the fire forever blazing in his mind and body.
“Sh-Shiggy,” you mumble, your voice thick with sorrow. He hums in response, his eyes opening slowly and gazing into yours. You realise that it’s now or never. And so you resolve to say it. You resolve to tell him how you feel.
“Sh-Shiggy. I’m-I’m sorry.” He shushes you but you press on. “Sh-Shiggy,” you whine. You pause and take a deep breath. Exhaling, you admit, “I love you.”
You tilt your head back, nose brushing his as you get a good look at his blood-red eyes. They’re wide with shock as they stare down at you. If things weren’t ruined before, then they were ruined now.
You two are quiet for the next few minutes. You’re determined to hear what Shigaraki has to say on the matter. And Shigaraki doesn’t have a clue how to respond. He feels like he’s malfunctioning, short-circuiting at hearing those words slip from your swollen lips. He opens his mouth to speak but no words come out.
You’re so close to bursting into tears again when he finally mutters, “Don’t-don’t be sorry, dummy. Just-I.” You whimper hearing that. His eyes widen again and he stumbles over his words, “Don’t cry-I just-look it’s n-not-I—”
“Sh-Shiggy, please,” you whine. “Please just-just.” You can feel the tears coming on.
Shigaraki smashes his lips onto yours, kissing you roughly and messily. His teeth gnash yours far too many times as you cry into the kiss, your hands clutching his blue locks at the roots. Your body is shaking but it doesn’t matter because he holds you.
He holds you, he steadies you, he takes your breath and your sorrow away with his lips.
Once he pulls away, your hands wrap around his neck and you nuzzle your face into him. He flips you over so that you’re lying at his side, your body instinctively curled into his. You continue to sob into the crook of his neck. His hands rub your back and your arm as he mutters to you how sorry he is for making you feel like this.
He mumbles into the top of your head, “You have every right to be angry with me. Hate me. Take it out on me.” You shake your head vigorously, earning a grumble from him. With all of your remaining strength, you push yourself up. Your nose ghosts his as you look into his eyes.
“I l-love you, Shiggy.” You lean in closer, saying on his lips, “I love you.” You gently kiss him, moaning into the feeling of it.
You know that he wouldn’t be doing this for just anyone. And the thought that maybe he felt something for you other than loathing kept you hooked on his lips and the feeling of his body pressed against yours.

Villains and Their Fates - A Tragedy Would Have Been Fine By Me
I've seen a lot of people who try to write off frustration with the league's fates by saying "you just wanted them to survive" or "you're just upset your favourite character died". And while that may be true for a few people, I know that it's at least not true for myself (which must mean there are others who feel the same way). So today I'm here to share my thoughts. Despite liking the villains and wanting them to be redeemed, I was also willing to accept a well written ending if they died. I just wanted to ramble a bit about the three main villains (mostly Toga) and how I felt a tragic ending could have been improved.
Tumblr media
The only villain I felt should have lived is Dabi, but that's more because of the awkwardness his unconfirmed death caused for Shoto (read this beautifully written analysis for more). If Dabi had to die, he should have died on the battle field OR in the hospital surrounded by family where he gets a few last words in. Leaving his fate unconfirmed leads to the ruined Shoto arc, but is also just weird for a character who has existed for so long. You're telling me that even Overhaul gets a confirmed ending but DABI doesn't?
I've also talked a bit about how Endeavor's survival ruins the subplot, and in 426 he continues by making Touya's final appearance about him (rather than the two brothers) but that's something I've talked about too much. If Endeavor has to be alive and hogging screen time, the least Hori could do is imply Touya will survive rather than die, so at least Enji isn't literally stealing time from his other family members to have some interaction with Touya.
If Touya has to end up in that machine, an ideal ending would have been the doctor saying "it will be a gruelling and near-impossible uphill climb to recovery" and then Shoto can smile and say "he's done it before". Boom. Simple as that. Leave it open, but at least on a positive note so we can assume that the family will have plenty of time to reconcile, as opposed to an unknown (but limited) amount of time that Enji vows to use to talk to him (yeah I know it's supposed to be a sweet gesture but even Touya calls bullshit on it). Let Shoto and Touya eat their soba, damn it!
Tumblr media
For Shigaraki, my grievances extend to the writing of the entire final battle between him and Deku. As such, I don't have much to say aside from that because it really is just a product of poor writing. Neither were really allowed to talk before the big moment (hell, the vestiges were narrating Deku's emotions half the time like "he must be upset, this quirk meant so much to him". Why not let him tell us???) and the back-and-forth of Shigaraki being destroyed and then not only to be destroyed again was too much. It felt sloppy and hard to follow, and once you figured it out it just felt dumb. It's as if each chapter needed some massive reveal, but the story had done it so much at this point that it just felt tired and like it was happening "because Hori said so", and that should never be what drives a story.
Speaking of "because Hori said so"...
Tumblr media
Oh Toga. Out of all the villains, I actually liked her confrontation the most. (Lies. If Dabi vs Shoto was the end of Dabi's fight, THAT would have been the best. But the Endeavor fight ruins it). Despite having limited screen time, Toga and Uraraka had a surprisingly well-built dynamic. Their few interactions were actually meaningful and created a strong foundation for a fight, and at the very least they had more of a personal connection than Deku and Shigaraki ever did. I think that Toga giving her blood to someone she loves (as opposed to drinking/taking their blood like she had said the whole series) is a beautifully tragic end to her character, but still something that could have fit.
To me, the problem comes with how she died. Let me replay the scene for you: Toga stabs Uraraka in the stomach and Uraraka bleeds too much because she keeps moving around. Toga then realizes she doesn't want Uraraka to die. To save her life, Toga has to do a blood transfusion with herself as a donor and she dies because she has to give ALL her blood.
Now... sure. Ok. Fine. Yeah. Maybe by real-world logic this makes sense. I guess. Whatever. But within the world of MHA, this setup is laughable.
Here's a list of things characters survived (or at least, they survived LONG ENOUGH to get to a hospital rather than dying on the battlefield): Deku shattering his bones with 1 million percent, whatever happened to Best Jeanist when AFO attacked him, Nighteye getting a massive spike through the torso, All Might with "his entrails strewn across the ground", Bakugo becoming Swiss cheese, Grand Torino being punched so hard a crater forms beneath him, Touya being a literal flaming skeleton, Bakugo's heart exploding, Edgeshot becoming a worm. Mirko getting a limb ripped off and then running full speed at Shigaraki. That's just off the top of my head, I know there's probably more.
But you want to tell me that Uraraka getting stabbed and then moving was a fatal wound that required ALL TOGA'S BLOOD? ALL OF IT? The reason Toga's death bothers me is that the setup cheapens the actual moment of sacrifice. It feels preventable, so when she tells us that Uraraka is going to die without her blood, all I could do is roll my eyes because I'm not allowed to use critical thinking skills, I have to just accept what Hori says and take it at face value.
If the author wants you to live as Edgeworm despite saying you were gonna die, you can. But if the author needs a stab wound to be fatal and require ALL of someone's blood? Well tough luck bud, that's just how it goes. Mirko can run and move all she wants after having a limb ripped off, but moving a bit after one stab wound is fatal. Why? Because I say so.
If Uraraka's wound was actually serious then this ending would have been a beautiful tragedy. But as it stands now, the ridiculousness of her wound makes it all feel preventable.
Oh, there's also the fact that Toga switching blood types when she transforms was never established, but I've rambled enough.
That's it. Thanks for reading!

Warm Winters (Dabi x reader)
a/n: it's been snowing crazy here, and it's inspired me to write something cutey with my man <3
wc: 1k
Tumblr media
The past month has not been kind to the League. After suffering multiple defeats in combat and recruitment efforts, everyone was feeling defeated. Morale was at a low as members sulked around the common room, no one uttering a word.
You laid on the broken couch among the others, mind racing. Was all this really worth it? You asked yourself, picking at the skin around your thumb nail. Are we getting anywhere? What world are we even fighting for? What if-
"IT'S SNOWING!!!" Toga beams with excitement, her voice and clapping hands snapping you out of your troubled thoughts. You run over to the window with Twice and Spinner, smiling as you watch the snow fall down quickly.
"Wanna go check it out? Bet we could grab hot chocolate too," you smile at Toga's excitement regarding your idea. The two of you quickly bundled up, ignoring the snarky remarks and warnings other members threw your way as you two raced outside.
You were always happy when the League had time off like this, time to just exist as the normal people everyone longed to be. You especially felt this way when Toga had the opportunity to be a teenage girl, a smile across your face as you watched her build a mini snow Deku and Ochako as she rambled about her love. Your body shivered as you stood there watching the young girl until it hit you: you grabbed the wrong jacket on your way out the door. Among the excitement of it all, you didn't realize you grabbed one of Dabi's jackets instead of your own. The material was much thinner than what you needed to brace the falling snowing, mentally cursing yourself as the cold grew painful. Before you had the chance to tell Toga you were heading back, the sound of crunching snow became louder and louder.
"You're such an idiot," Dabi's deep voice sent a warm shiver down your spine, causing goosebumps to form as he stood behind you. You turned to face him, noticing that he's holding your fuzzy jacket. You quickly grab it from him, thanking him repeatedly as you throw his jacket off and put yours on. The thick material covers your body and begins warming your cold body up, and Dabi chuckles at the sight of you practically melting under the new warmth. A few moments pass of peaceful silence as you two stand together in the snow, a few feet from where Toga continued playing with her snowman collection.
"I'm surprised you're out here," you finally spoke up, looking up to the sky as the snow continued to fall. The sight was so beautiful, so gentle. "Just didn't imagine you're the type of guy who'd want to be out playing in the snow." You small giggle left your lips as you watched the expression on his face, noticing the hints of embarrassment and annoyance. Despite his cold outer shell, you always noticed how expressive his face would be. He was a man of many emotions that were always trying to escape him, wanting desperately to be seen. And yet somehow you were the only one able to catch onto this, enjoying the game of learning who Dabi truly is under this mask.
"I wanted my jacket back," he shrugged, eyes avoiding yours. As you two spent more and more time together, Dabi was becoming increasingly aware of your ability to see through him. And he had no idea how to feel about it all. It made him feel scared, exposed. He wanted to run away from it, leaving a wall of flames that you'd never dare cross into. But at the same time, it made him excited. He wanted to be seen fully. He wanted to invite you in with the door fully opened, no defenses up. The constant battle between the heart's desire and mind's protection weighed heavily on him.
"Could have just texted me, I would have walked back to the hideout," you hummed. The unnamed tension between you and Dabi was clear to everyone, this included the two of you. While you often found yourself annoyed at his lack of action, you knew that you really didn't have any room to talk. You could just as easily lay all your emotions on the line, but your own fears held you back. I mean it's not like you began walking the villain path because life came easily. You had your own fears and anxieties, your own fear of being seen entirely despite longing for it.
"Your point?" he bites, the hint of anger in his voice would usually be enough to scare anyone off. However you found yourself giggling at his words, heart fluttering as you knew he'd never hurt you. You knew he came out here to see you, to be with you. That fact alone washed a new sense of calmness over you, smile tugging at your lips.
You decided not to push him further, knowing Dabi had his limits when it came to navigating his feelings. Instead you decide to lean against his chest, heart beating faster than usual when you feel his arm wrap around your body. Your face began growing warm as your body was now flushed against his, grip on you tight and secure. The two of you went back to standing in a peaceful and warm silence as the snowflakes continued to fall.
You tilt your head up, looking up to steal a glance at Dabi who was already looking at you. The two of you exchange a smile before turning to look up at the sky, feeling warm despite the cold snow hitting directly on both your faces.
The world doesn't make sense. This fact has brought so much pain and suffering to you and Dabi both. Yet as you stand here feeling warm in the falling snow and safe in the arms of a man you've seen kill before, you discover a new beauty in the world not making sense.

who is this togachako I'm hearing of? :O
only the most tragic toxic doomed yuri ever from my hero academia 😞
it's a ship between toga, a villain who stabs people she loves and drinks their blood to turn into them; and ochako, a hero student who, after learning more about toga, wants to save and understand her
in their final battle, they have THIS interaction omg. toga asks if she has a cute smile, and ochako tells her she's the cutest in the whole world. im devastated
Tumblr media
but they've been fighting to the death this whole time, and ochako gets like severely injured. as in, she's bleeding out and is about to die. but toga doesn't want ochako to die, so guess what she decides to do 😖 she drinks some of ochako's blood to turn into her, then gives ochako all of her blood in order to save her
(read right to left)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but ofc this means that toga will die instead. ochako tries to stop her, but toga won't let her. this is her final act of expressing her love towards ochako. and it BREAKS MY HEARTTTT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then there's THIS beautiful manga panel with toga's devastating dialogue
Tumblr media
and so toga dies in ochako's arms 😭
Tumblr media
anyways. all that's to say they're my favorite doomed yuri ever </3 and as for how it relates to your post, ochako's girlfriend is toga, the girl who stabbed her multiple times :') peak romance tho

Small problem I had with Ochako's ending
I am writing it here because I do not want to update the big "ochako's journey" post I did before.
Tumblr media
Okay, in the previous post I already talked about how Ochako's putting aside her feelings is when the major problems I have with her characters start. To summarize, this should lead to two outcomes (more or less): it works very well, it doesn't work. In one outcome we would see Ochako have success as a hero (and the author can add her longing/sadness for the cost of it), in the other we would see her not have success (a "lesson" in "maybe you do not need to put aside your feelings"). Instead: we have none. Because Horikoshi puts aside her, and she loses a lot of screen time.
But I talked about it before, this time I want to talk about the ending.
I truly feel like Ochako was the only character who had an incomplete arc by chapter 430.
Deku ended AFO, "saved" Shigaraki (well, his spirit or something), then lost OFA and became a mentor like AM. Then he went back to being a hero with his suit - it came full circle.
Ochako instead has smaller arcs, but one of her major ones is the one connected to Toga: in the licensing arc, Ochako put aside her feelings for Deku to be more like Deku and focus on being a hero.
This is connected with Ochako's fight with Toga, because what Ochako admires of Toga is how she can smile so openly and is able to openly live as herself and declare what she wants and love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During chapter 429 we have Deku noticing that Uraraka hides her feelings (pain, in this case) because she prioritizes others:
Tumblr media
So these are two parts of the "hide your feelings" arc.
In this chapter she finally expresses her feelings (pain) to Deku and the rest of the class. This could have been an okay conclusion. She was still trying to hide, but when Deku offered help it is Uraraka who openly talks about what she feels.
And even Tsuyu notices that Ochako did not open up:
Tumblr media
As I said, this could have been the conclusion of the arc, and it would have been okay. Ochako finally expresses her feelings openly (her pain, in this case), then in the next chapter we get Deku's conclusion and we find out what Uraraka is doing with all of her feelings for Toga/her confrontation with Toga (the quirk counseling).
Now, new chapter: 431. There are two options for Ochako's arc:
Ochako's scenes about her crush for Deku and putting aside her crush was a proxy for how she puts aside her own feelings in general, so it is the same as her putting aside her pain in chapter 429. In this case, her arc is concluded with her sharing her feelings in general (pain in particular). "Hide crush = hide feelings"; "Admiration for Toga = Admiration for someone who express feelings openly"; "Express pain = express feelings, learn not to hide"
Ochako's scenes about her crush for Deku are a very important part of her general "put aside her feelings" arc. In this case we would have "Hide crush = hide feelings in general but also puts aside love"; "Admiration for Toga = Admiration for someone who expresses feelings openly and can also openly declare who she is in love with"; "Express pain = express feelings, but she needs time to be able to express her love for Deku" -> the end of the arc is still needed.
Chapter 431 starts with a kind of sad/desolate setting, with a lonely Ochako (overworked maybe?) thinking about Toga once again, to let us know that we are in the (2) option: Toga's lesson and what Ochako learnt from her is not fully completed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is also confirmed by Tamaki remarking that her work must be exhausting so she must get some time for herself. She seems confused, because clearly she does not. (And Ochako also confirms her personal life is put aside for work, and she does not have a lot of time for her).
Ochako says that a month ago (when Deku basically came back to work as a hero) she started to dream Toga again.
Now, this is fine, I liked it. If we are in option (2) it is clear that the story is telling us that Ochako kept aside her love for eight years until she had to see Deku daily once again. While I am not a fan of the idea of a female character holding a love/crush in silence for eight years - I am not here to talk about that, so I will skip it for now.
At this point is where I really hated the chapter (in the context of Ochako's arc).
We move to Deku.
Now:
Deku's arc was over.
Deku never had an arc about his romantic feelings or about not noticing romance.
The romance arc was Ochako's
She had an arc specifically about how she put aside her love for Deku, and then overworked-focused on work - she is still in the middle of the arc
she is also the one who had a revelation from her confrontation with Toga
And yet, Deku steals her ending.
Tumblr media
Ochako wants to talk more with Deku, but again, she decides not to. She is walking again. She is not moving towards her goal/end of her arc.
She did not learn Toga's lesson.
It is only because Deku moves towards her that she "agrees" to talking more with him/a romance.
Toga's wish is for Ochako to live as she wants. Ochako admired that Toga could declare her love with an open smile and live as she wants. Ochako hid and is still hiding her feelings for Deku, she is not acting on her wishes and not living as she wants - and yet, she still doesn't.
Instead of having an active Ochako take a step forward and moving towards the goal and growing, we have Deku doing that.
When Ochako put aside her feelings she was acting on her new resolution, we had a monologue of her thoughts too. Now she is passively thrown at Deku by Toga, and listens while blushing - while Deku is the one who declares himself and takes a step forward. Without Deku doing that we know that Ochako would have not expressed her feelings openly.
So what was her arc conclusion? To just wait for a man to make the first step?
This is how I would have changed things a bit:
Kept everything the same until the end of the dinner. Maybe added Ochako's pov earlier, so we can see her at dinner. The problem is that Ochako's mind does not change through the chapter like we see for Deku, she does not realize that Toga's words were true, that they were right, we never see her seeing her friends living their romances/personal lives and thinking "wait..."
The scene of Toga pushing Ochako should have been just after the dinner. Ochako walks away and then she finds her resolution, she realizes she cannot keep living like this (add how many flashbacks as you need, even one of her licesing exam).
And maybe both Ochako and Deku walking towards each other's and declaring their feelings at the same time.
I just really really wanted Ochako to have some agency IN HER OWN CHARACTER ARC.

My Hero Headcanon: Rei
Tumblr media
When I think of Rei’s childhood, I think of Yuki from Wolf Children.
Tumblr media
Just not at all being the lady her parents probably wanted her to be and living her best life collecting bugs, feathers, and small animal bones.
And just like Toga, those interests were suppressed because they ‘weren’t appropriate for little girls,’ and she was made to conform.
Tumblr media
I mean, look at her expression and tell me she wasn’t told to sit still and be quiet too many times when she was a child.
I think she was a weird kid.
And that's why I play with the snowboarding theme when I do fanworks involving Rei, as well as the idea that Touya’s inability to sit still when he's agitated/excited comes from Rei. It's also why I have the headcanon there was never a point where Rei and Endeavor loved each other. They already have two extremely different personalities in canon, and the high-energy headcanon just highlights a further personality difference.
I’ve already gone into it in more detail with an Endeavor analysis that I made, but here’s an excerpt that illustrates my point:
Tumblr media
...what I think shows here is they weren’t really talking all that much. Specifically, he is not ‘talking down to her.’  He is not treating her with any particular disrespect or putting her down as inferior.   He doesn’t have the arrogance he later exhibits. This also isn’t him being aloof and ignoring her either.  Look at his face, specifically his eyes.  That is the same blank, deer in the headlights, “I have one brain cell dinging around in my head that is struggling to find a way to interact with people,” stare he shares with Shouto.
He has no idea what to say to her.
So finally, Rei turns off to the side to admire the garden, and he asks, “Do you like the flowers?”  It’s a small thing, but it does show that in some capacity, he did show some interest in Rei and making her happy.  He’s just stupidly awkward about it at this point. (Even if his ultimate goal was…well, we’ll get into that.)
...
The long and short of it is if you remove the violence/temper aspect of Endeavor's character, you basically have Shouto: An awkward dork who doesn’t entirely know how to interact with people and he probably doesn’t understand sarcasm or euphemisms either. The main reason we can’t see that side of Endeavor’s character very well is because he’s weaponized intimidation/violence to cover it up. (Dammit, dude, this it not how you patch a character flaw.) So I don’t think Shouto’s isolation and childhood training caused his social ineptitude so much as exacerbated a character trait that was already there. He got it from Dad.
So referring to the earlier pre-kids part of Rei and Endeavor's relationship before the violence actually started, imagine the awkward personality-type paired with a partner who is, by all accounts, weird and has too much energy to be contained. Arranged marriage aside, I like the idea that Rei reverted back to her odd personality after she left her parents’ house. I like to think she danced in the kitchen when there was no one home, hoarded feathers and skulls and other odd keepsakes, and looked for places where she could snowboard. She was a housewife by herself for long periods of time, so who was going to stop her?
There is a short story I absolutely love called Ink, Water, Milk by Catherynne M. Valente. The plot's not relevant to this post, but there is a scene where a bored housewife buys a bunch of those cube-shaped watermelons and just stacks them in her fridge to admire them.
And for some reason, I can picture Rei doing this.
Like Endeavor just comes home to find her sitting cross-legged in front of the open fridge and smiling happily at the nine cubed watermelons stacked neatly inside. (Keep in mind, these things average $100-$200 a piece and are inedible/decorative.) No explanation for why she's done this, she just has a big, ecstatic smile on her face and pointing into the fridge. You know, Touya energy when he's a kid and excited about something. And Endeavor, in true Shouto fashion, is baffled by what she’s done, has no idea why she’s done it, and wondering if there’s a joke he’s not understanding.
I like to mirror this behavior in Touya and Shouto when I can in writing for Ambush Simulation. Underneath the trauma, they are at their core the brother with their mother’s high energy and the brother who is socially awkward and doesn’t quite know how to deal with the unhinged behavior but doing his best.
...
Edit because I just found this gif.

✦•······················•✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
Touya as a dad?
Hands down the cutest thing to watch
like, not only is he obviously gonna be protective af
but he’s also so soft when it comes to his kids
bc he doesn’t want them to experience the same feelings he did growing up
so he pushes them to be great
but also gives them room to fail, and helps them learn to try harder
’unachievable’ dreams aren’t a thing when Touya is a father
he wasn’t given the chance to become a hero and live his dreams
So he will never push his kids to give up on their own dreams, or put them down for them either
They wanna be an artist? Dads gonna get em the best supplies
a singer? He’ll find someone to give them lessons and he’ll listen to every little song they come up with
They wanna be a hero? He’s teaching them everything he’s learned and helping em make ‘special moves’
They want to be a makeup artist? He absolutely lets em do his makeup whenever they ask
They wanna be a villain? Touya only considers talking them out of it once, changes his mind, and now teaches them how to pick pockets and lets em (secretly) join him on smaller missions to ‘show you the ropes, but don’t tell mom 😁’
the list goes on and on and he’ll do it all with a smile on his face because he never wants his kids to feel like their dreams are unattainable or a burden to him.
so there’s that 😭😭😭
deefinitely has days where he takes the kids out while you rest, bc for one you get to chill, for two he absolutely loves spending quality time with his kids every chance he gets
If he’s still with the league after having kids, he usually walks into the hideout with rainbow colored nails
and he’s flexing them on EVERYONE
like “check out how awesome my daughter is at manicures”
Toga is lowkey jealous
so occasionally Touya lets her babysit
which is also the cutest thing ever
bc she’s so sweet to the kids
Shiggy just stares at them like “u made those? But they’re so cute?? and you’re ugly as fuck??”
Shiggy then gets bitch slapped into next month
by Touyas kids
bc “my dad is NOT ugly uncle Shiggy 😤😤”
yes uncle shiggy
one big happy family of villains who never had big happy families
but that’s okay cos Touyas gonna make sure his kids do have that 🙏😭
aka Touya would be like an actually great dad
and his other reason for making sure to be a good father
The one he doesn’t mention
is that he’s proving to Enji that it IS possible to be a supportive father
like Touya is absolUTELY gonna rub it in Enjis face when he sees that Touya’s kids actually like him lmao
like that meme of Enji and Aizawa that’s like ‘your kids say happy Father’s Day to you on Father’s Day?!’
Except it’s Touya just smugly like “yeah believe it or not my kids actually like me because yk I actually care about them 🤷‍♂️”
so he’d have way too much fun doing that
but just generally I think he’d love being a dad
and I think he’d do it well 🥺🥺
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
Ngl I was cackling writing the “they wanna be a villain?” Part bc why can I see Touya carrying like a whole baby strapped to his chest on a mission 🤣🤣🤣
Banner creds to artist! (If anyone recognizes the artist lmk)

the leaks:
skimming through the entire chapter 431 with my rough translation skills.
Uraraka's Quirk Counseling expansion seems to be her (and Tsuyu) trying to single-handedly screen for problems and child abuse by spending one month at every single (elementary) school/school district? They're helped by volunteer heroes.
She's also helped by Hawks, who negotiating with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and other organizations to provide support to change quirk education.
She is the best hero. 😭😭😭
My worries about quirk counseling have been slightly mollified by this. Slightly. It's geared towards very young children, and we don't see the actual counseling, just Heroes spending time with kids to make sure they're not showing signs of distress, but it's nice to see this tiny glimpse.
Uraraka has dreams about Toga, and wonders if Toga left her blood/quirk/will inside of Uraraka similar to how OFA functioned. Uraraka can't remember the content of the dreams, though, and wonders if Toga is trying to send her a message.
Deku says he's developed a policy to help students develop their quirks. He also goes around to elementary schools and facilities and give lectures, sharing his experiences with young girls and boys.
Shouto has taken up pottery-making classes, after thinking a lot about fate and inevitability and his path
The entire class mobilizes to capture a car thief who may or may not have used his quirk - alert said that if he does just his quirk, it might cause a big accident? idk about this part.
When Deku asks Uraraka out, Uraraka finally remembers her Toga dream, which is Toga telling her that just like how Toga lived as she liked, Uraraka should live as she likes. So Uraraka says yes to going out with Deku.
.☠️☠️☠️.
Laughing so hard because 'go live as you please!' is so Toga! It's Toga's ideal and guiding principle. She clung to being her quirk-influenced, bisexual-love, creepy-smile self, fighting to love and die as herself. She would be happy for Ochako following her heart! But did it have to be the most conventional hetero cutesy romcom shit.
The OFA-esque accumulation of will and power of Toga's quirk and love and ideals............... to encourage Ochako to date Deku.
I don't believe the League is mentioned at all by name except for Toga via Uraraka's dream, and one line from Shouto saying he was praying at Touya's altar (thus confirming that Touya is dead).
AFO is mentioned but in context of young heroes deriving their impressions of heroism from the AFO battle? idk about this part.
Two flashbacks to Shigaraki, from Deku.
First is Deku flashbacking to him inside Tenko's heart, holding Tenko's hands, as he talks about how even if he had OFA, he would still come to want to be a teacher.
(Feel like this is interesting because AFO has always been 'Sensei'/teacher to Shigaraki. In a way it feels like Deku is trying to be a Good Teacher to AFO's Bad Teacher, I guess?)
Second is Deku ruminating on Shouto's talk about 'inevitability' and how he's doing everything he wanted, and he's blessed. He flashes back to Shigaraki's "Really, do your best," which is when he also notices Uraraka laughing and get heart eyes.
So i'm laughing again that even without a dream ghost, Shigaraki's words about destruction also gets used and recontexted to fuel Deku/Ochako.
Did that extra panel of Shigaraki's almost-smile in Chapter 423 come about just to give us this ~*~parallel~*~???
Tumblr media
It's pure gold. Villainous creeds (Destroy everything / Live as I please) ultimately used to not even prop up the Heroes doing heroic stuff related to the society that the Villains were rebelling against... but rather to get Deku and Uraraka on a date.

Deku refusing to pass out because Tomura needs to be healed and he's afraid no one will heal him but kill him while he's knocked out.
Deku still using blackwhip to keep his body in one piece as he guards Tomura's body, shaking from the strain, still refusing to leave his side.
Deku who cannot explain all he saw in their shared memories yet because he's still processing all the grief and hatred and trauma, he's still struggling to understand the man before him. He is the same man who ruined his life and got people he loved killed, the same that had made him suffer again and again. He is the kid he needed to save, the kid no one else cared about. He's all of those things and more and Deku is way too tired right now to do anything except promise they'll have another chance. A tomorrow.
Ochako who hugs Toga to her own body, covered in both their blood. Ochako screaming to get her a transfusion because Toga used almost all her own blood to keep Ochako alive. Ochako who won't let Toga out of her sight after all they went through, because she doesn't want Toga to wake up alone and confused.
Ochako who can't tell anyone how it felt to float in the sky with Toga while they exchanged a part of themselves, how it feels to have Toga's blood on her veins keeping her alive, how it feels to wake up to her own face lying next to her knowing now how much Toga admires her.
Ochako who cleans Toga's face as much as she can and thinks of braiding Toga's hair after taking a nap (she says). Toga is really pretty, even more when she smiles genuinely and she's not trying to murder everyone around her.
Shouto who panics as soon as he wakes up, afraid of it all being a dream. He's dazed from sleep and he doesn't call Dabi either of his names when he asks for him. No, he says " where is my brother? " and Natsuo next to him knows who he's asking form immediately. Their brother is back home.
Shouto who becomes insufferable until they take him to see Dabi, who sits next to him and looks at him, really looks at him for the first time maybe in his whole life. Finally, all his family in one room. No one being isolated, no one being rejected, no one crying tears of anger or fear or frustration. Even when they are all tired and hurt, Shouto has never felt happier. He really really wanted to bring Touya home. He wanted to give him a chance to heal.
Shouto who can't wait to ask Touya if he likes cold soba. Shouto who sits there and catalogues the damage and wonders how he survived so many years alone in the streets. Shouto who memorizes the scars and burns, who counts the staples, who looks at his own hair and then Dabi's. How can he explain the mental image he got of hugging the child version of his big brother while they were fighting? How can he even begin to explain why he believes so much in the criminal who hurt his friends and killed thousands and wanted to end their family? Who to explain his family, at all?
Class 1A taking turns watching over the villains to offer some reassurance to their friends. Most of them are unable to understand what's going on in their heads, some are wisely unwilling to ignore all the damage those villains caused them. In the end though, they trust Deku, Ochako and Shouto and if they want the villain trio alive and well, they will guard them up with their lives so that the heroes can rest.
Bakugo who should be dead by all means, but who wakes up and forces his way up to Deku and Tomura and sits there, telling Deku to accept the medical treatment. He killed AFO, he's not going to allow Tomura to escape or get hurt. Deku can rest, he can trust him. They'll be there when he wakes up. Even after all Tomura did to Bakugo, he owns Deku and he trusts Deku and he'd do that for him a million times if necessary.
Iida who sits next to Dabi to monitor him, because Shouto must stay in bed and stop making the trip up to his brother's hospital room. Iida who lived it with Tensei once, so he goes and tells all the news (or the lack of them) to Shouto. Iida who tells his friends that everything will be alright, that they'll figure it out, Iida who reassures Shouto and tries to distract him by talking where and when and how he'll take Touya to eat cold soba.
Tsuyu who might not be a big fan of Toga, but her friend is barely conscious and for whatever reason she refuses to let Toga's side. Tsuyu who promises to take good care of Toga, who carries her on her back for a while, who remembers all the terrible things and can't understand the fondness in her friend's face when she looks at the villain, but she respects it anyway. No matter what, Ochako can be sure they'll take care of it. She doesn't have to fear anymore. She can go to sleep.
The villains who wake up warm and safe for the first time in many many years. When was the last time they woke up with someone watching over them? They were convinced they'd be murdered in their sleep and yet... They're getting treatment. Clean clothing. They're bathed. When was the last time someone cared to give them medicine to lessen their pain? Although their first instinct is to run, when the person watching over them realizes they're awake, it's immediately pandemonium. They are screaming for Deku, Ochako and Shouto and there are people running and so many voices.
Deku, Ochako and the Todorokis who rush to their side. Never again will they have to face the world all alone. Deku reminds Tomura that he has been saved, he waited for 15 years, but it's finally over. Ochako tells Toga how pretty she is and yes, they are friends and there are still consequences, but she will be there, they'll be there for them. Touya wakes up to his family and isn't that funny? The last time he woke up in a hospital, he thought he was dead. He had to run away soon after burning it to the ground, but now there they are, gathered around him, crying, relieved, a bit scared and a lot concerned. They are looking at him, really looking at him. It breaks him. He had given up on that particular dream the day he burned.

It was a normal day for the L.O.V . They didn't forge any attacks or do anything of the sort.
Shigaraki was coped up in his room, talking to his master while dabi had left to get groceries so that they don't die of starvation.
All the while you, toga, and twice remained at the bar drinking away. It was noon and the sun was still up but, eh.
In your drunken state you didn't realise when and how you ended up in twice's lap as he brushed his fingers through your hair, the proximity between you two going unnoticed by you.
Twice always was a flirty guy, well one of his personalities were. He flirted with you all over the place whenever he could- like right now, hes been telling you how you looked pretty the other night where you and dabi had gone out on his bike; your tight biker's jacket making him blush.
While he still played with your hair you absentmindedly played with his fingers still resting on the bar top, Toga gave her over 3 shots in the past 10 minutes.
"Awe isn't that cute? You're adorable twicey~"
Toga was giggling to herself, not warning you two about dabi coming down the steps and into the bar-
"The fuck is going on?" Uh oh. Dabi's here. Pretty sure he heard you.
You startled away from twice's lap, your finger going on your lips as you innocently looked around, at twice, then yourself, then the bar top with shot glasses and Toga, and then at Touya.
You stifled your giggles, "nothing! Twice was just giving me cushioning so that I don't get sore!" You smiled sweetly. As if nothing was wrong here.
You turned back to twice and bent down a bit to give him a peck on the cheek, thanking him for looking out for you.
You knew dabi stared at your ass, it was right infront of his field of view.
Touya's eyebrows were raised in question as his lips formed a scowl.
The plastic bags melting from where his hands had started heating up. The bags fell, burning to the ground.
"You sick motherfucker. How dare you touch my girl?!" He stalked over to twice, pushing you aside. Grabbing him by the throat as he threatened him. His hand glowing with fire right next to his face.
Before twice could reply though, he turned towards Toga on the other side of the bar, "and you? You know she's light weight!" Toga just shrugged and snickered in amusement.
You watched everything, you didn't like this. It's not fun anymore. You stood their with a pout as your emotions took a toll on you. Fuck, it's the shots you took.
Touya let go of twice after pushing him off the barstool in anger and walked over to you.
He put his thumb and forefinger under your chin and tilted your head up, your doe eyes looking back at him, getting glossy by the minute.
You were sensitive. Very sensitive given your drunk. But that's your charm, you can literally manipulate people with just your eyes. If only you weren't so drunk, an airhead, and God were you a tease.
A single tear escaped from the corner of your eye, Touya was quick to catch it on his finger and press a chaste kiss to your lips.
He then moved to kiss your neck, trailing his kisses up to your ear, "now now baby, if anything I should be crying dont'cha think? I just saw my girl rubbing her ass on another guys lap. That's not a pleasant sight now is it?" He whispered as he pressed another kiss at your ear lobe, nibbling at your skin. His ministrations caused you to shudder under him.
"Let's take this to my room shall we lil'mouse?"
He didn't wait for a response, he grabbed your wrist and dragged you towards his room.
--- (nsfw starts here.)
He pushed on his bed roughly, staring into your eyes the whole time.
He pulled your ankles till you were sitting at the edge of his bed, legs on his shoulders as he went down on his knees in between your plush thighs. Face to face with what he loved so so much.
"I think this mouse has forgotten who she belongs to. Isn't that right?" He mocked all his questions, looking into your eyes daring you to disobey him in any way.
You just shook your head desperately, tears forming in your eyes "p-please.. m'sorry.." You knew this couldn't be good.
"Please what?, Brat." He spat out as his cold fingers were quick to flipping your skirt up, slapping your inner thigh harshly. He groaned as he saw the wet patch against the lace of your panties.
"You're always wet aren't you? Just waiting for someone to fill you up. Bet that's what was going through that dumb head of yours sitting on that Fucker's lap when I'm not here." His nose nudged the patch as he inhaled your scent with yet another groan.
"N-no.." You whispered at his accusations.
"No? Then what were you thinking that got you this wet hm?" He knew the answer to that. His doll was always eager to be filled with his cock all the time.
You paused for moment. Pondering if you should answer him or not. But your thoughts were cut of quickly, Touya had slipped your panties aside and delivered a sharp slap right against your clit making you squeal loudly.
"Answer me brat." He let a glob of spit flow down his lips onto your already glistening pussy.
The cold fluid making you shiver as you stuttered to respond, "Y-you" You visibly swallowed in sheer nervousness from his glare still on you.
"That's what I thought, now it wasn't so hard now was it princess?" , "yet you decided to flirt with that piece of shit?. That's unacceptable lil'mouse."
His calmness was honestly scaring you now. You expected him to blow up and scream. I mean he did but, this? He sounds so... so chill. It's honestly terrifying, you can't tell what he is planning to do to you.
He could see how your eyes flickered under his gaze, the tinge of fear lacing them.
He smirked as he licked a singular swipe from your rim to your clit, you let out a shaky sigh. Closing your eyes as you savored the feeling.
"Eyes on me doll." He pinched your clit as his hand snaked up under your shirt to play with tits. His tongue slipping inside you, fucking you at a slow and sensual pace You opened your eyes, your hands instinctively going to grab onto his hair as you whimpered "Touya...~"
He stopped your hands, you looked at him in slight shock, you thought he just wanted to eat you out? Wrong.
"Nuh uh baby, you take what I give. Nothing more. Nothing less. You wanna complain?" He got up from under you, you watched as he took his belt off. He grabbed both your wrists and bound them together with his belt. Tightening the straps till the point it actually got painful, "t-too tight Touya!" You screamed, his hand instantly slid down, plunging three fingers into at once. Making you scream out his name.
His pace was relentless, he curled his fingers in the best ways as you became a squirming, moaning mess underneath him.
You felt the knot in you tightening to the point of bursting any minute now, Touya felt it too. He knew the tell tale sign of your walls clamping down on his finger, you were almost there. Almost. You were moaning a string of words telling him how good you felt and how close you were, you knew your release was close, just one more thrust...
Touya pulled his hands away, laughing at your whine of frustration as tears went down your pretty face.
He saw how you tried to close your thighs to rub them together, but his hand came in between.
"Awe isn't that you cute? You're adorable doll~" He coo'ed at you, mocking your words from before.
You whined more, your nose sniffling "Touya! This isn't fair!" You cried out, your bottom lip wobbling
He chuckled and reached down to take your bottom lip between his teeth, sucking on it.
He unbuttoned his jeans sliding them down, just enough to take his dick out.
"Should've thought about that before babe." He smirked
Shivers went down your spine once Touya rubbed his dick agasint your folds, covering himself in your slick. You were still sensitive from his previous touches. He knew that.
Without much warning, he shoved himself balls deep in one single thrust. Your back arched, eyes rolling back.
"F-fuck. You're still so tight baby- ugh"
God the sounds you made, Touya can only assume everyone outside knows what's happening in here.
Touya's thrusts were sharp, quick, and mildly painful. His pace wasn't for you, it was for him. He was using you as his personal cocksleeve. He grabbed your thighs, your legs now over his shoulder, putting you in a mating press. The new angle making you scream out loud.
He pinched your nipples and squeezed your tits, his mouth didn't leave your neck. You're pretty sure there'll be dozens of purple spots litering your skin the next morning.
You tried to move your hands to hold onto him as he thrusted into you with such strength your scared you'll slide up and hit your head against the headboard. Unfortunately your hands are still bound, and painful. But that only added to your pleasure,
You felt your self getting closer again. Your walls squeezed him deliciously, "don't you dare cum y/n" He warned.
"Touya..." You whimpered,
"You'll only suffer if you do baby."
"Listen to me like the good girl you are yea?"
All you could do was nod and take what he gave you, you could do nothing but obey to him. After all you belonged to him at the end of each day.
He hand came down to circle your clit, you were twitching uncontrollably now. Holding back your orgasm as Touya continued to ram into you. The Stimulations against your clit were just adding to your need to cum
"Touya... please let me cum!" You pleaded, "I don't think so doll. I don't think you deserve to cum. Fuck, you don't even deserve my cum"
That's when he pulled out, your eyes grew wide and sniffles were heard coming from you,
"I hate you Touya, you sick bastard!"
Touya only chuckled in response, "Hah, maybe I should ask twice to teach you manners? Bet that sounds good to you hm?"
"No. Fuck you Touya!" .
"Ya already did y/n. I don't think you've learnt your lesson yet. You still have the nerve to talk back to me?"
You scoffed looking away, tears still flowing down your puffed up cheeks.
You heard him shuffling around, That's when he came back with his fleshlight...
"Why dont'cha watch me fuck this instead, it deserves my cum way more than you do."
He held the flashlight in his hand as he angles his dick into it, jerking himself off with it.
You whined, taking your tied wrists, rubbing your hands on your own pussy trying to get off but failing miserably. Touya only laughed as he got closer to his release in the fleshlight.
"Ah, fuck. 's so good"
"Ugh. Better then you, ateast it doesn't talk back like a whiney slut"
His hands were going faster now, his groans and huffs getting more frequent. He was close.
All you could do was watch him cum in the fleshlight while you were left high and extremely wet from your impending release.
After all, you could only take what he gave you for today.

I wish Tsuyu had a bigger role in the Uraraka VS Toga fight- kinda like how Iida had a role in Shouto VS Touya.
Tumblr media
With Iida, not only is he one of Shouto’s closer friends- but he also contrasts and parallels Shouto and Touya’s relationship.
Tenya looks up to his brother, and Tensei is motivated to do better because of that- they have a very wholesome brother-relationship.
While with the Todorokis… Touya has literally tried to killed Shouto and even indirectly Natsuo. Shouto has literally done absolutely nothing wrong to Touya- he was a baby when most of Touya’s trauma was happening, and he wasn’t allowed near him growing up. But Shouto still loves him unconditionally.
Even though the relationship between the Iida brothers is so different from the Todorokis- Tenya can still understand how Shouto feels. Tenya couldn’t save Tensei- so that was why he had to do everything he could so Shouto could save Touya (and the rest of his family + the civilians)
Tsuyu’s backstory is explained in an extra manga chapter that was then animated in one of the OVAs. We get insight into her family and one of her friends- though we don’t really know the reason WHY she became a hero. We still don’t in way.
Tumblr media
What we do know is that Tsuyu believed a hero is someone who follows the rules. She tells Toga this, and says that Uraraka doesn’t care about the rules- she just wants to help, so she asks Toga to listen to her.
In my opinion, Tsuyu isn’t really a developed character. I’d say Ashido and Jirou have more development than her. Tsuyu’s reasoning in what a hero is- contradicts what the audience is shown.
“Heroes should follow the rules”
But what about the unjust rules?
Tumblr media
Lady Nagant and Hawks are basically child soldiers. When Nagant asked if what they’re doing is the right thing- the HPSC president responded by pULLING OUT A GUN- when Nagant killed him, that could’ve been argued to be self-defense. Instead, she’s thrown in jail for people she was groomed to kill, and the murder of the HPSC president was covered up.
Hero society is shown to be corrupt- so I think we should’ve been shown more insight on how a character like Tsuyu handles the reality that laws aren’t always right. I want to see how she would’ve been forced to reevaluate her way of thinking. How the world that society said it was- was a lot more complicated than she thought.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
People should follow the rules- but when the rules are harming people who just want to live their normal lives- we need to make adjustments to the rules so more people don’t have to suffer trying to become something they are not.
Tenya was also shown to be a very rule-abiding person at the beginning of the series. Even so, we see what his breaking point is- so what’s Tsuyu’s breaking point? How does she connect to the Uraraka & Toga arc?
From how I interpreted the arc, Toga was someone who needed to be understood as a human being. The reporter, Curious, wanted to understand her- but she only wanted to understand her as a news headline, as a martyr for the Liberation Army.
Tumblr media
Uraraka says in the fight, that she can’t ignore all the hurt Toga caused, she can’t accept every part of Toga, she can’t love her in the way that Toga wants her to- but she wants to understand who Himiko Toga is, why she smiles and why she cries.
Uraraka saw the ‘ugliness’ in Toga’s heart, and she acknowledged that- but she also saw the beauty and pain in her heart as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How does Tsuyu fit into this????
It’s mentioned that Tsuyu struggled in middle school to make friends, as people couldn’t read her expression since she has a poker face. Perhaps she understands the whole ‘wanting to be understood’ thing?
It could also be a case of quirk discrimination. As we’ve been shown, mutation quirks are looked down upon.
The thing with Tenya is that role was a small part, and yet a big part of the arc he was in. He told Shouto that he is able to be the hero he wants to be now thanks in part to him- and that Shouto can be the hero he wants to be as well; he didn’t say much, and yet that says so much more.
Tumblr media
Idk…maybe the role Tsuyu could’ve had is something like ‘She is someone who was discriminated against for her quirk, and people failed to understand her or see her as a human being- but she had a loving family and friends to support her’
-so then the conversation could’ve been more like Tsuyu trying to empathize with Toga and let her know that Uraraka was there to support Tsuyu, so now she’s here to help her as well.
Or it could even have mentioned Tsuyu’s friend from middle school- who also struggled to make friends as well. They were both people who others couldn’t understand them (because of their unexpressive faces) and because of that they connected to each other.
Tumblr media
I think it was even mentioned that Himiko is the ‘oldest’ child of her family, so…what about her siblings? How does she feel about them? Could Tsuyu and Toga being older siblings parallel somehow???
The more I talk about this- the more I wonder if Tsuyu should’ve saved Toga or have an equal role to Uraraka. There could be a lot of similarities when I really think about it…
I think the ‘rule’ thing could’ve worked, but I think Tsuyu should’ve had her own arc and perspective shown for it to have more impact.
Maybe this is just a me- thing, but I think Tsuyu should’ve been fleshed out more if she is the character supporting one of the Savior trio.

little rabbit, the bad ending
Inspired by reading about the big e’s mind control powers on @moodymisty’s asks and yeah this happened. It’s pretty bleak and answers the question- what happens when the emperor keeps hold of what he wants?
It is by no means the first time she has dreamed of the Emperor; he invades her dreams as he invades her body, appearing sometimes as a towering pillar of golden flame, sometimes as a slavering wolf with blood on its breath, sometimes as a a conquering barbarian, standing taller than any man she has ever known, hewn from copper and red stone, with eyes of fire. This time, he relaxes on a golden throne, his toga clean white linen, draped loosely over his muscular shoulders. She knows she is dreaming, because she can look at him without the well-accustomed headache — and because she can see out of both eyes, rather than having her right eye covered in a milky red film.
“How dare you?” she says, giving voice to the words she swallows down during the day — oh how she hates how he forces her to choke down so much; her emotions, her thoughts, his damn cock. “How dare you sit there, and pretend to be humanity’s saviour? You’re not a damn saviour. You’re a tyrant.”
He watches her impassively, and says nothing. Emboldened, she draws closer. In the manner of dreams, their surroundings are hazy and undefined; it is like she walks through early morning fog.
“You say you will save us all, but what from? You won’t say. You won’t tell anyone anything. You destroy what does not bend. You treat your sons as tools. They are human! We are all human! And you tell them that they have to purge what makes them human, all the love and the joy and —“
Her voice catches.
“Roboute loves me! And I him! And you took me! You took me, and you won’t give me back, and you — you r-r-rape me, and you toy with me, and if I am truly nothing to you, as you claim — I hear you claim! — then why don’t you just let me go?”
She dashes tears from her eyes. It’s a dream. She can cry from both eyes, here.
“What happens if you get your way? If humanity becomes like you? Cold and cruel and uncaring? If we lose our ability to love? To care? To sing and dance and — and create? If every civilisation we meet is destroyed? If everything is made in Your image? Then what? We’d be a shell! Humanity would not be human anymore! We would be a shadow. You’d sit there and rule over a universe of grey automatons, manifestations of Your will. Is that what You want?”
She stops before the throne. He’s not towering over here, here, when her mind can reduce him to the proportions of a man, not a divine being that denies its divinity. He is a tall man, but still a man. She can look him in the face.
”You claim not to be a god, but you act like one. You want to be a god but answer no prayers. You want to be obeyed as a father but not love like one. You’re a hypocrite. A coward. Dodging responsibility. Dodging everything.”
Breathless with rage, she stops, waiting for the dream-Emperor to respond. When he does, a thrill of fear races down her spine.
“How interesting.“
Her mind can replicate much, but not that — not the reverberating echo of the Emperor’s true voice. This is not a dream. Against all probability, this is him.
(Of course it is.  He’s a psyker, the strongest psyker that ever lived, and to him the minds of humans are just another plane to wander.)
”I have seen the future. I have seen the horrors that await our kind. I have torn myself apart and built myself anew to avoid them. And yet…maybe. Maybe some amendments are required.”
”I don’t understand — “
He catches her by the waist, and pulls her into his lap, smiling down at her. His eyes are the heart of a sun. His mouth is the throat of a forest fire. Be thou afraid —
“You do not have to. But you are correct — Roboute does love you, and it pains him to see you so. I will fix this. I will fix everything.”
The light blinds her. And she wakes. And she doesn’t.
Roboute Gulliman, Primarch of the Thirteenth, walks beside his Lord Father, discussing their latest campaign against a nasty strain of orks in the distant reaches of the eastern Imperium, and how best to deal with them. It is an honour to be so close to the Emperor, and he feels his approval like a golden balm as he presents strategies, and the Emperor congratulates him on having such a sharp mind. It would be so easy for one so powerful to be a distant, unreachable god-like figure, but the Emperor is not — he may not have raised Roboute, but he is wholly his father. Roboute barely recalls his foster-father’s name these days.
A slight disturbance draws his attention; a human woman, clad in an ornate gold gown, ducks out of one of the side rooms. The Emperor beams at her.
“Excuse me, Roboute. I think my consort needs my attention. She is a needy little thing — and quite insatiable.”
Roboute’s cheeks colour a little — he’s no Leman or Horus, happy to trade bawdy jokes with the Emperor — and he politely averts his eyes as the Emperor scoops the woman up and plants a kiss on her, his tongue sliding between her parted lips.
“How’s my girl? Restless? Be at ease; I’m almost done here, and Roboute will be on his way — and you’ll have me all to yourself.”
He settles her on one of his hips, and nips at her throat. She’s looking directly at Roboute, her expression quite unreadable. Roboute realises he’s being unfanthomly rude, and offers a little courtly bow.
“My lady. It is a delight to make your acquaintance. I have heard tales of your beauty, and I can see that they were all correct.”
”Thank you, my Lord Primarch,” she says, her voice tiny.
“She’s more than a beauty,” says the Emperor, fondly. “She keeps me human, don’t you my love? She shows me how to not lose sight of the small things, when the grand design occupies so much of my attention. Without her, I fear I’d forgot how to relate to humans at all!”
Roboute chuckles politely, but there’s something about the woman’s gaze — something so sad. Maybe —
A flash of gold out of the corner of his eye — probably the sun reflecting on the walls. The thought vanishes. He will head out soon, out to war for the sake of his father, and for humanity. His great purpose. His birthright.
And all he ever wants, and all he ever wanted.
