gives me such anxiety that nobody in dao so much as MENTIONS a horse let alone uses one
#except in dai which barely counts because its so poorly implemented <3#tay plays dao#oc: elspeth#just thinking abt all the travel on foot with time constraints when horses couldve made the travel so much faster#ig that horses arent easy to come by but. neither is a fucking golem ok#i like to think they at least had access to horse travel for SOME of it. at least when heading to denerim for the landsmeet#esp bc in my heart ella teaches alistair to ride. i dont imagine he had much formal training#whereas she LOVES horse ! she had a beloved horse in highever called haelia (named after a cousland ancestor) who died when the teynir fell#so i like to think alistair gifts her a new one when he became king#and she names her mistral after her mother's famous ship <3
