This was partially due to his parents constant arguing before divorcing and Amataka living with his mother, who is nothing but kind. In junior high school, his mother fell in love with another woman who has a daughter named Kotoe, eventually leading for the two families to live together. Although they are the same age (and sharing a birthday for that matter), they don't have many common interests and rarely interact with one another. In high school, Amataka is considered popular by many students due to his prince-type yet mysterious character as he rarely talks about himself. During junior high school, Amataka met Miyuki at the Otokita Music Center and have been acquaintances since. Personality: A boy who speaks in a polite, pleasant manner, Amataka is what most people would describe as a "natural people magnet". It's rare to see him not surround by others, and even more seeing him without a smile. That being said, however, he doesn't consider himself someone with many friends outside of his childhood friend and tends to be a bit more quiet when alone.
