So my old laptop which was so fucked up it was difficult to get into apps and things, was giving me problems. Libra Office was either bugged or broken or maybe there was a virus, IDK. I experienced many times in 2020-2022 where I had no internet access for days at a time and would use the Libra Office Writer thing to keep up with my work and fanfics.

I started MANY fics. Worked on multiple chapters of current fics. Outlines of fics I want to finish. I can't access any of them now.

I have a Harry Potter/Orochimaru oneshot that was 6K words, that I cannot access anymore. I was able to somewhat access a Harry Potter reincarnates as Rin and is adopted by Sesshomaru fic after hours of effort, but I copy & pasted it into a Tumblr Draft because my internet wasn't good enough to pull up FFN or Google Drive in time. That draft saved weird so there are like triple spaces between each word and like a dozen spaces between each new paragraph and it'll be hell to edit or even copy from Tumblr to FFN.

I want to keep these works I did in all that free time and I can't even open the rest of them. There's always some terrible thing that makes it so I can't or makes them inaccessible and I'm so emotionally wrung out because of this.

Summary:

Sasuke feels really touched and starts acting like a Yandere, being really nice to Naruto in his withdrawn way and getting really mad whenever someone says something bad about Naruto.

Sasuke is on the verge of leaving the village forever. Naruto has other ideas.

Thoughts: If you thought the last one was sad, here's a happier version. I read this fic back when I didn't have an AO3 account and would desperately keep the tab open as to not lose it. This fic is heartbreaking in it's beauty and lifting in it's sweet moments. A blessing, this fic is a true blessing.

He just needs to get a picture of someone so ridiculously hot she will know it's hopeless. He actually has someone in mind, a guy he'd had a one-sided thing for from his gym. Although, the guy is sort of an ass and probably wouldn't agree to posing for a picture. Naruto decides to ask him anyway. What's he got to lose?

what are your top 3 or 5 favorite naruto x sasuke fanfics? i'd love to get some recommendations!! i've been looking for something new to read but i feel like i always end up re-reading kizuna hikari lol

Rereading Kizuna Hikari is actually the realest thing I've ever heard. Matter of fact, I'm rereading it right now. For the twentieth time. So I totally get it.

Now, I'll be honest that in terms of characterization, no fics do it like the kizunaverse. None. At the very least, I haven't read a single one with such a staggeringly good grasp on every single character, it's insane.

I'd accuse @sasubaeuchithot of secretly being Kishimoto, but I fear that even he wouldn't be as consistently flawless in sasuke and naruto's portrayal, considering how botched the ending and sequel were. (top kh glazer check)

But enough. Let's see.

Every single fic by @kinomiakai is a certified banger. I find their characterization magnificent as well, their modern AUs are unparalleleddddd.

The way they write Sasuke and Naruto is totally believable, even though they obviously aren't 100% in character, which is normal; characters will always be different in AUs, they have lived considerably different lives.

Their only fic that I haven't read is a current WIP, "Two is a Crowd", which is canon-divergent.

Personally waiting for it to be completed, because I've started wayyy too many WIPs and my heart won't take another one.

"Heaven is a place on earth with you" by zephyrous (amorphia) was a lovely two-shot from Sakura's POV, watching sns through the years. I'm personally a sucker for such fics and I remember this one hit the spot.

Check out "i like his eyes", "i hope the encore lasts forever" and "here's to us (here's to love)" by moviekidd826, they were beyond lovely!

"The sun is too bright, it hurts." by waywardfacegarden, can't recommend it enough, I was obsessed when I first read it. I'm a sucker for fics like that.

Lastly, "Lost and Found" by MadeNew is a fic I had read in one sitting. Check out some of their other fics as well, they have quite a few!

I haven't read sns in quite some time, even though they occupy at least 20% of my brain, so I'm probably not the best person to ask for recommendations.

These are only a few of the fics I've bookmarked, but it's been so long since I've read most of them! I remember loving these fics endlessly, which I can't so safely say for my other sns bookmarks.

A lot of rereads are due, I suppose!

is it that sasuke thinks he doesn’t deserve all the unconditional love naruto has for him and that’s why he’s on this endless trip to atone for his actions? it’s not addressed enough imo, he expresses that it’s a way of giving back to naruto in one of boruto’s episodes but it gets to the point where, with a whole wife and daughter and a very dear friend waiting for him, he’s almost never in the village, almost like he’s punishing himself like he doesn’t deserve to have it. there’s this and then there’s the “i completely worship you” kinda vibe i get from his relationship with naruto post war & in boruto, i think it would be really interesting to explore and address but alas the show is not about them
