Starscream is genuinely such a tragic character because as much as he's just kinda crazy every iteration has something that just makes u feel so bad for him.

IDW Starscream is something I couldn't scrape the surface of if you gave me 107 days. G1 Starscream's is not only mainly just used for comic relief the poor guy, but he lost his partner who then turns around and in his eyes betrays him. I mean Skyfire had every right to go "what in the fuc" and dip but the fact he went with Starscream in the first place tells me that somewhere along the way something happened to make him go coocoo.

In prime he was seemingly manipulated into joining the Decepticons and then constantly talked down to. From my perspective it honestly just seemed like Starscream was after praise or recognition which he never gets, now if this is because Megatron's a dick or because of the dark energon idk. I mean he kept the Decepticons afloat the entire time Megatron was gone chasing what was by all accounts a myth and did more then we saw Megs do THE ENTIRE SERIES. He managed to kill an Autobot, we never actually see any casualties and they've got a steady flow of energon.

I mean even in RID his main goal was to just kill Megs and tbh if I'd been beat down over everything I did, even if it was wrong bc I personally thought it was the right way to go about it, I'd be majorly pissed too. Yeah he wants control of the Decepticons but(and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong it's been a very long time since I've watched prime) I only remember him actually attempting to kill Megatron once or twice. Sure he was self serving but just bc he wants respect.

Bayverse Starscream was just the saddest thing I've ever seen. He could breathe and Megatron was drop kicking him off a building, didn't even get to be the treacherous sic jeez💀

Dude the WFC Trilogy was so wild idek how to word it so kind of a take on his character as a whole here. It was weird and characterizations were way off but I actually liked Starscream. He was still the guy we know and love but with a neat twist. He still had that tragic feeling to him especially getting traumatized and all but Dinobot telling him everything he went through wasn't an excuse to hurt other people was just *chefs kiss* bc it's really not. As tragic as Stars character is it's not an excuse for him to hurt the people around him. I mean no matter how bad I can feel for Prime Screamer he still used and manipulated everyone around him(Knockout for one). This is in no way me trying to justify or make him a good guy, a character can be tragic while still being a bad person. Somebody get him in therapy lol.

Oh man and don't get me started on the Unicron Trilogy Starscream. Probably the most tragic of them all, poor guy did not deserve any of Megatrons abuse. Allow me to let him speak for himself "I tried to gain favor from you, but nothing was ever good enough. No matter how many battles I fought, you always found fault." He really just wanted recognition, he literally sacrificed himself just so Megatron could get it through his thick head he needed to team up with the Autobots, and I recently had someone point out to me Starscream probably could have done some damage to Unicron with Swindle but he knew he was gonna die and he didn't wanna drag his mini-con down with him. Just ow.

Animated Screamer was just wild idek what he was on I can't defend him lmao bro opens the show trying and almost succeeded in killing Megan. I'd comment on Cyberverse if I could but I haven't actually got to watching that yet whoops. I feel like I remember seeing a clip of him talking about wanting the respect he deserved which honestly could have been his ego talking or really sad idk, but back to what I was originally saying.

Almost every time he shows up and you pay him any attention besides comic relief he's a super tragic character and it's not only what makes him one of my favorite but it makes me sad when I see people completely disregard everything but whats on the barest of surface levels. I feel like that's all Micheal Bay did he remembered Star being comic relief and so thats all he was. He's like an onion for lack of a better analogy, got a million layers, might make u cry, and you either love him or hate him. He could be such a compelling interesting character like with IDW but no one wants to look below the surface AND I GET IT 9/10 were literal children's shows so they're forgiven but Micheal Bay is on my hit list for that one.

            The resolution and tragedy of Depth Charge’s arc is so fucked up and sexy, actually… There’s the argument to be made that despite his efforts and attempts to let go of his hatred, to remember the others he fights for, Depth Charge ultimately still succumbs to his revenge in the end; Choosing to prioritize killing Rampage, even at the cost of his own life. How Depth Charge starts the battle explicitly trying to dismiss his arch-nemesis to focus on the greater good of stopping the Nemesis, to culminate his growth and maturity by simply letting go. Openly acknowledging he has greater priorities and little time.

        But it just takes a few taunts from Rampage to rile him up, and suddenly Depth Charge forgets the Maximal mission in favor of his own, killing the bastard. You see how he goes from composed and professionally focused, to angrily falling apart with a flustered and thoughtless “Shut up!!!” towards Rampage’s jeers, unable to think of a cool-headed retort. All of that progress undone after he worked so hard, from just one interaction that fed back into his bad habits and reawakened them. Depth Charge was finally beginning to distance himself from Rampage and find others to interact with, even other enemies... Only to relapse badly.

         Depth Charge’s final words are the most profane, spiteful curse you’ve ever heard, and it doesn’t even use ‘actual’ curse words. He clearly guesses that going in for the kill, instead of ditching Rampage when he’s knocked down and no longer fighting back, will kill him and allow the Nemesis to fly. But Depth Charge goes for it anyway, because what else does he have to live for? When so many have died because of his failure? And Rampage’s laughing triumph, it’s not just for the release of death. It’s the celebration that he’s corrupted his foe, this ‘hero’ seeking justice, and they both die hateful monsters together. Rampage won.

         And, not that he cared much for Megatron’s actions afterwards; But getting him and Depth Charge killed allowed Megatron to reactivate the Nemesis, and destroy Tigerhawk too! As well as Inferno and Quickstrike, and the ship���s later explosion also wiped out Dinobot’s clone. So that’s four, arguably five, more people Rampage took down with him, by appealing to Depth Charge’s rage. Amazing.

        The final cherry on top is the irony of Optimus thinking that explosion, the intimate death of Depth Charge and Rampage, is a sign that Depth Charge won. Not only that he stopped the Nemesis, but that he died a hero, and that his death wasn’t in vain. But in reality, not only is the Nemesis fully active, but all Depth Charge achieved was a pyrrhic victory, dying in hatred that prioritizes itself over others. His ultimate failure, both himself AND Rampage.

        At worst Optimus assumes Depth Charge tried his best and didn’t succeed, but in actuality... They took that secret last fall with each other to the grave. This shit is Shakespearean and not just because Dinobot’s clone was technically involved. Speaking of, you could argue that Depth Charge killing Rampage and freeing him was the right thing to do.

      But you could also argue that Depth Charge should’ve focused on his mission and saved killing Rampage for less pressing circumstances, that wouldn’t have endangered Dinobot 2.0 (or Tigerhawk), since he died anyway. Rampage truly saw Depth Charge and said “I can make him worse” and totally succeeded, even got Depth Charge to get others killed, just like he would!

It's Megatron's birthday!!!!

This is Megatron from Transformers: Micron Legend, the English name for the show is Transformers Armada. He is designed after a stag beetle. He kickstarted my spiral into obsession with entomology.

Technically, we don't know when his birthday is, but we do know that December 1st is the birthday of the Megatron seen below.

He is not designed after an insect, but he is very cool.

I want to talk about Micron Legend Megatron's design. Firstly, he is not a moose or reindeer. Thrust at one point says "I told you not to call me that, you stag beetle." and Hotshot refers to him as a 'stag beetle head' (they do not call him this in the English dub).

Secondly, his left hand resembles a female stag beetle's, being very large and having very sharp fingers, while his right hand looks like the rest of the character's hands.

Thirdly, he has an abnormally small head, like a female stag beetle, while he has the mandibles of a male stag beetle.

In the sequel series, Superlink (Energon in the English dub), he is entirely based off a female stag beetle (besides the fact that he doubled in height since the last series).

He is a very cool Megatron.

Thoughts about him;

If I remember correctly, in 'The Secret of Omega Supreme', it's said that he was built to be machine of destruction, to think about nothing but destroying anything that stands in his path. Does that mean he can't properly think for himself?

In episode 16 of season 3 'Webworld', he goes to therapy, gets some awful therapists who are essentially going to kill him and then give him a new processor as it's the only way to cure him. He manages to escape and then blows up their planet.

G2 Megatron 1993

Thoughts about him;

Underappreciated. He's just a little bit ugly but he deserves some love too. He can't get any love from Kiloton anymore, as he's dead.

Also he's apparently in a relationship with this guy called Kiloton, you don't really see him much in the comics, his name isn't even said, but he caused Megatron to start a second war, this time on the humans, after they killed him. He also doesn't get enough love.

Speaking of Kiloton, the Megatron who's birthday it is? In one comic he was shown in a bar showing off his poetry to this guy called Impactor. It would later be stated that Impactor's old name was Kiloton.

Beast Wars Megatron 1996

Thoughts about him;

As much as it may have already been said about him, I would like to reiterate that he is Barney the dinosaur. If not, then a relative of Barney the dinosaur.

His voice actor (David Kaye) would go on to voice beetle Megatron in the English dub of Micron Legend. By voicing Optimus Prime in the 2007 series Transformers: Animated, He would become the first voice actor to have voiced both Megatron and Optimus Prime in their career.

He is also referred to as the Queen by a character called Inferno, which makes for one of my favorite lines from the franchise.

(For context, Dinobot left the Predacons at the start of the series, and has now returned to them for the time being.)

Dinobot: I was not aware you had given yourself a new title.

Car robots/Robots in Disguise Gigatron/Megatron 2001

I'm including him in the Megatron section, despite the fact that he's called Gigatron in the original dub, because the English dub is more popular than the Japanese dub, meaning he is more recognized as Megatron than Gigatron. I will be referring to him as Gigatron as I haven't watched the English dub.

Thought about him;

He's kind of plain? But I still enjoyed watching him do stuff. Just causing a little bit of mayhem for no good reason. And I also just love his personality. He has issues and I lowkey kind of relate. Not to the whole killing people to get what he wants, but him just trying not to lose it while broadcasting to a bunch of people about how he's going to blow up a dam but it keeps not working so he keeps having to call Gel-Shark (English name; Skyebyte) to find out what's happening.

Also, there was an episode where he put on drag and then got catcalled by an Autobot who didn't recognize him.

Unicron trilogy Megatron/Galvatron 2004

This is the same guy as beetle Megatron, from Micron Legend's sequel series Superlink, which came out in 2005. His new name is Galvatron. In the English dub he isn't called Galvatron until he gets an upgrade that turns him purple.

Thoughts about him;

As previously stated, he is designed after a female stag beetle despite being referred to as a man. I am in full support of this.

He also has this guy called Shockfleet (English name; Mirage) that nicknamed him 'Gal-sama'. 'Sama' being a Japanese honorific for someone you worship.

He's very silly. Goofy, might I add.

This is Master Megatron from the third series in the trilogy, Galaxy Force, which came out in 2006.

Thoughts about him;

He isn't a stag beetle. I am fuming.

He looks like he's wearing a crop top and cowboy pants with overalls. And he has these spiky goth knee-high boots on.

The reason why his left arm is so wack-looking is because he's powerlinked with Dark Ligerjack, who is essentially his cat that attaches to his left arm.

Dark Ligerjack's name sucks so I called him Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Ravenway every time I had to refer to him.

Transformers IDW1 Megatron 2005

That's this guy. Happy birthday my guy.

He is very cool. If you can, I would very much recommend that you read the IDW series, specifically the one that ran between 2005 to 2018. Just to differentiate because there is a recent IDW series that came out in 2019. The series is very long and therefore expensive, so there is a good chance that someone would not be able to read it. And if they can they will probably get lost trying to figure out which comic they're supposed to be on. Just skip Spotlight: Arcee, that story was retconned, and is very offensive.

Thoughts about him;

This may start a fight, but you are not supposed to forgive him for everything he's done just because he went to therapy and made a vow to never kill anyone again. He says this himself, that it may be cruel, but with everything he's done, and the billions of people he's killed, he deserves to be executed. You're supposed to feel sympathetic towards him though, and you are supposed to feel sad when he dies. But you never even think about the people who he killed because you never had a chance to get to know most of them, because even with how long this series is, it isn't long enough to tell the stories of billions of people. Someone's life is much longer than the amount of time it takes to kill them. Not to mention the brutal ways in which he killed them. The comics, I feel, make it known that you shouldn't forgive him, and frequently remind you about the things he's done, while still making you understand what his viewpoint and what his mental health was like to cause him to spiral.

And it all leads back to that the Functionist council should have never existed in the first place. While most people that the council ruined the lives of didn't turn out like Megatron, a lot of them died or were forced to live in awful conditions, and the one's that did protest would be greatly overshadowed by the actions of Megatron, essentially making it so that those people had to join his murder spree to even feel like they are free. But trapped in the echo chamber that was the Decepticon cause at this time, I would argue they weren't really free. Megatron could kill any of them at his whim, and he would, and he has.

He came to a point where all sentient live besides his own had no meaning to him. His actions eventually caught up to him, and with that, he realized that he isn't someone who can be expected to mingle with the people who he's hurt without them complaining or being scared of him.

And he somehow accepted that better than some people who read these comics.

Anyway very cool Megatron.

Transformers Animated Megatron 2007

To me, he just kind of feels like the default Megatron. I like him and all, but he feels a bit too generic. I really don't have that much to say about him.

Prime Megatron 2012

To be honest, Prime is one of the few shows I haven't watched yet.

He looks silly though/affectionate.

Earthspark Megatron 2022

To be honest I haven't watched that many of the newer shows/comics, so I'm skipping to Earthspark.

Thoughts about him;

Only 10 out of 26 episodes have come out, so I can't say very much about him. But I do feel hopeful that they are going somewhere good with his storyline.

I will point out, his storyline is a pretty heavy-handed jab at police brutality and jail conditions, but it is a nice surprise for the fact that this show aired on Nickelodeon.

Also, and this may controversial, but when I first saw him, both me and my brother (doux-mirages) talked about how he's the ugliest Megatron.

He is a very cool Megatron though.

It’s in the Blood, It’s in the Will

A/N:  This takes place directly after my previous fic in this series After All is Said and Done but you shouldn't have to read that for this too make sense. I am loving all the headcanons that Ratchet is going to be super pissed that Bumblebee didn't check the Terran's energon levels till they were near zero! I really hope we get to see Ratchet properly in the show outside of the flashback! With Megatron having defected, I think it also make total sense for Drift to appear too! I tried something a little differently here with an almost outsiders POV with Robby so let me know what you guys think. Hope you enjoy!

By the time Robby heard the car's engine it was too late.

He was struggling to hold back laughter as Mum tried to show Optimus how to change the wallpaper on his phone so that she could send him the picture she'd snapped of Bumblebee sleeping snuggled against his side. Robby had no idea how Bumblebee was able to sleep over the shouts of his siblings playing hot potato (or hot cube as the Cybertronians called it) in the cow field next door. Which was probably why he didn't hear the car coming until it was parked right outside the barn.

In the split second it took Robby to wonder why an ambulance was at their house when no humans had been hurt that badly during the battle with Mandroid, the vehicle had already transformed into a twenty foot tall robot.

It wasn't a Transformer Robby had met before, nor was it one he recognised from TV.

"Er hi?" Robby said but the robot didn't appear to have heard him. Instead it marched straight towards Megatron who was perched on the grass opposite the barn. At the sight of the ambulance heading his way, Megatron clutched the battered remains of his arm and turned to glare in Optimus' direction.

"You called Ratchet?" Megatron hissed.

Optimus ignored him, pretending to be too engrossed in his phone.

The bot, who was apparently called Ratchet, paid the interaction no mind and produced an oversized wrench from who knows where and whacked Megatron over the head with it.

"I know your helm is as thick as a dinobot's tail but can you at least try to think next time before you try to use your fusion canon when your arm is half fallen off! Now sit!" Ratchet shouted.

Robby waited with baited breath for Megatron to start blasting but despite his scowl, the former Deception followed the orders without question, which even after everything that happened, was probably the most surprising thing Robby had seen that day.

He'd never seen Megatron follow orders that quietly before. Even with Optimus he usually had a sparky remark or two.

Who was this Ratchet? Judging by the way he was currently fixing Megatron's arm, Robby assumed he was some kind of Cybertronian equivalent of a doctor. And with his Mum's non-repulsed eye roll and Dad's silent freak out, even if Robby didn't know who this bot was, he was fairly certain his parents did.

That was when the second car arrived.

It must've been following right behind Ratchet although with everything that had happened in the last minute, it felt longer to Robby.

It too transformed from a flashy race car to a giant robot. His armour was a pristine white with swirls of red and yellow. Two swords larger then Robby's entire body were strapped to his waist with another across his back. But they weren't half as terrifying as the Deception logo tattooed across their chest.

Before Robby could cry out, his Mum was already standing in front of him, blaster poised to strike.

"Stand down Mrs Malto." Optimus said, in that gentle but commanding tone Robby recognised from his speeches on TV. "This is Drift. He has now switched allegiances to the Autobots."

"Funny, because last time we met, he was a Deception assassin called Deadlock." Mum snarled.

Robby noticed that his Dad had taken up a similar protective stance in front of the Terrans who had abandoned their game to watch the unfolding scene.

"My allegiance was not the only thing I changed." Drift said, hands raised in the universal sign of surrender, although he didn't sound to be that bothered by his Mum's blaster.

"Well who are you then?" Mum demanded, reluctantly holstering her weapon under Optimus' watchful eye.

"I'm Ratchet's conjux." The Deception stated with a soft smile that didn't match the rest of the walking arsenal.

"What's a conjux?" Hashtag asked, taking the question from Robby's mouth.

"What do you mean what's a conjux?" Ratchet scoffed as he finished welding Megatron's arm back together. "What are you, a bunch of spark-"

Ratchet glanced away from Megatron's injury taking his first real look at the plainly armoured bots around him. His eyes widen before suddenly flashing white. "Sparklings? You found sparklings! AND YOU DIDN'T CALL ME?"

Ratchet's thunderous voice left Robby wobbling on his feet and woke Bumblebee up with a start.

The glare Optimus sent in Rachet's direction did little to deter to doctor's tirade. Megatron was the only one who appeared happy, relieved that the doctor's ire was no longer focused on him.

"Please tell me you at least gave them a routine check up!"

"Errr..." Bumblebee replied eloquently, still sounding half asleep.

Ratchet tssked, a sound Robby had no idea how a robot could make without any teeth.

"Why do I always have to do everything?" Ratchet grumbled to himself. A ray of blue light spread over the nearby Terrans, making them giggle as he presumably took a scan. Whatever he saw on the results made his eyebrows disappear beneath his helmet. "Their energon levels are all below ten percent! How are they even still alive?"

"It's okay they don't need energon." Bumblebee told him, sounding more awake now.

"And you know this how?"

"Because they might have nearly collapsed of it- but then it was okay because we discovered that they just need Earth water to survive!" Bumblebee replied quickly, leaning more into Optimus with every word as though he could hide under the Prime's armour.

"Oh and you know this in your expert medical opinion do you?" Ratchet retorted, his armour plating shaking to the point Robby was worried that the friction would set it on fire. It was a sight Robby suddenly recognised from his own parents when their anger at him doing something particularly stupid was an explosion of their terrified concern.

"Ratty, remember your fuel line pressure. Take deep vents." Drift said, gently squeezing the crook of Ratchet's elbow.

Robby heard the doctor grumble something about where his conjunx could shove his fuel line pressure, but he did take a reluctant deep breath. It rattled the plates of his armour like the brittles of a cats fur, seemingly settling Ratchet enough that he no longer looked liked he was about to spontaneously combust. Sighing, he produced what looked to Robby like sticks made out of rust from his seams, holding them out towards the Terrans.

"Here. These should get your energon levels up. But don't eat too many at once. My days of cleaning up sparkling vomit are long over."

For some reason those words only made Bumblebee sink against Optimus even further.

Robby watched as his metallic siblings take tentative bites of the rust sticks. He had to stifle a laugh as all too soon they were gobbling them up like kids with candy on Halloween.

"Yes well thank you for your assistance Ratchet." Optimus said diplomatically. "But it must be a longer drive back home for you and Drift, so we'd best let you get on your way."

"Oh you're not getting rid of me that easily Prime! I'm staying here to keep an optic on these sparklings." Ratchet stated.

"And where Ratchet goes, I go." Drift declared from his side. Robby almost missed the twitch of a smile Ratchet sent in his conjux's direction. But he was glad he didn't. As it showed that underneath the medic's sharp exterior, was a spark that cared about the bots around him. Even if he was willing to offend their feelings to protect their physical wellbeing.

"Can we keep them Mum, please?" Robby begged, utilising his best puppy dog eyes.

She shared a quick look with her husband with was pointless since Robby knew his Dad would be over the moon at the idea more transformers staying with them. Sure enough, his Dad was jumping up and down like an excitable puppy.

"We're going to need a bigger barn." His Mum sighed.

You've spied on the scrapyard for a long time, not because of any malicious intent or plans to expose them, you were just curious and wanted to know more. Your main focus, though, is on a certain blue and white femme.

You found her so pretty, and despite her strictness and temper, she has a kind heart and cares about those around her. You love her but don't know how to tell her. How will she react? Will she be angry? Will she think you meant in a platonic way? You just don't know.

One day though, you found a gift for her, a giant truck plushie, strikingly similar to her alt mode. It was then that the idea hit you. You could wait until they're out on a mission and leave it there for her with a note! Its perfect, there's no way this could go wrong, right?

The next day you went to your usual hiding spot in one of the trees behind the scrapyard's walls and waited for them to leave, which didn't take too long. With that, you used a rope ladder to climb down from your tree and into the yard. You tip toed around the isles looking at all the vintage items in curiosity before finding the perfect to put Strongarm's gifts.

Feeling happy and excited to see her reaction you start to tiptoe back.. but notice a shadow over you. You look up with panic running through your veins to see Grimlock staring right back at you. You freeze for a good 10 seconds before he picks you up under your arms, then he speaks.

"Hello? Are you okay? ...You're quiet for a fleshie."

You stay silent and curl your legs close to your body as he starts to carry you towards the Alchemor, and calls for backup over the comms.

In a matter of 15 minutes you find yourself here, sitting on the Alchemor with 3 autobots, a minicon, and a dinobot, staring at you hoping for an answer. After a few seconds of awkward silence, Sideswipe speaks up.

"...Soooo, do we ask her things or what."

"Interrogations aren't that simple, we have to take turns asking her one at a time as to not overwhelm her.. well- more than she probably already is."

"We're not gonna start punchin' right? She was nice to hang around with." Grimlock asked Bumblebee with concern and pity lining his voice.

"Of course not, we help humans, not hurt them."

After a bit of debate they decided the order of which bot interrogates you.

Grimlock, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Fixit, then Strongarm.

You stayed quiet for most of them, only responding in writing or yes and no questions, that is until Strongarm's last question.

"I appreciate the stuffed vehicle, but if i may ask, what this is for?" She held up the envelope with her note in it, the glitter gel pen her name was written in still sparkling in the light. You beckoned her to get closer, she lowered her head to your level, and you muttered out a small sentence.

"Want me to open it?"

Strongarm looked surprised to hear your voice as a small blue blush crept on her face.

"Yes please."

She handed you the envelope, you opened it for her and gave the note back for her to read. You then cover your the lower half of your face as you averted your gaze to the ground.

"Hello, Strongarm!

My name is [Y/n], and this may come across as creepy, or strange, but I've been watching you and your team for a long time, but not with any malicious intent. I was curious, and i find you all very interesting. After a while though, Strongarm, I've come to admire your beauty. Not just in appearance, but in who you are.

You're kind and smart, but tough and brave. I find you to be a very amazing person and I've come to the conclusion that I've caught feelings for you. You don't have to feel the same, but I thought you have the right to know.

Strongarm looked down at you with a happy but confused face. You hoped you weren't too poetic.

"Thank you Y/n, I appreciate that."

She reached down and rubbed the top of your head with one of her fingers, it felt nice.

"Mind if i ask what you meant by 'you've caught feelings for me'? You're not sick are you?"

You felt your face get red, shyness and heat taking over as you, again, averted your gaze. After a bit of silence, you again beckoned her closer so you could speak at a comfortable level.

After a good thirty seconds of awkward silence, you gained the courage to look back up at her to see her reaction. She looks surprised and flustered, a glowing blue blush covering her complexion. She looks so beautiful.

"She wanted to confess her romantic feelings for me, I returned her feelings and we are 'dating' as humans call it."

The team goes silent for a while before Bumblebee speaks up

"I wasn't expecting that.. congrats, Cadet. By the way did you find out their name?"

"Thank you sir, and her name is [Y/n]."

Bumblebee approaches and looks down at you.

"Welcome to the team, [Y/n]. Can we trust you not to tell anyone about us?"

"Thank you.. my lips are sealed, sir."

He smiled as he and the others left you and Strongarm alone, you turn and give her a kiss on the cheek. She then looks at you with a puzzled look on her beautiful complexion.

"What was that? I've seen humans do that on tv but what does it mean?"

"Its a way of showing love, usually between romantic couples or family.."

She blushed then turned her head to kiss you back, she gave you a kiss on the forehead. Her lips were soft and warm as they pressed against your skin.

She walked over to a pile of mattresses, put a tarp over them and laid down on them and placed you on her chest. You spent the rest of the day talking to her, and both of you learned more about each other.

The day ended with the two of you stargazing after introducing you to Denny and Russel. Strongarm pointed out where Cybertron was, she then turned to you and said,

"Someday I hope to go home with you and show you around.."

"What was it like? On Cybertron i mean.."

"Pretty, lots of lights and big, glowing cities.."

All of a sudden your moment with Strongarm was interrupted by a teasing shout from Sideswipe.

"So, what are ya naming the sparkling, Strongarm?!"

She glared at Sideswipe as her face turned blue.

"She's not comfortable with that yet, punk!"

Sideswipe laughed as he went away as you looked at Strongarm in confusion.

"...sparkling?"

"A baby."

You giggled at the thought before laying your head back down on Strongarm's chassis, your eyes getting heavy.

"I love you, Sweet-spark."

"Love you too, Strongarm.."

You fell asleep as she laid her hand on your back and closed her eyes, ready for anything the decepticons would throw at her tomorrow.

She scrambles to find her words, to apologize, to explain that she didn’t know he was here. Something. Anything. She loses her words completely once she feels her back press against the far wall of her room. Thinking of some character wishes I had for EarthSpark. My main concern is more Terrans, Autobot or Decepticon, and a quirk I had was most are Earthborn TFs in other media.

Some ideas were the Dinobots as a whole being Terrans, because of G1 cartoon and Animated, though that might depend on Grimlock. G1 Grimlock appears in an Instagram teaser alongside G1 Optimus so that feels too … deliberate to not include Grimlock as a Terran or natural born Cybertronian.

The twist I had with Terran Dinobots was a Movie style splitting of the difference by including Scorn and Slash somewhere.

Wreck-Gar ala Animated also came to mind, mostly just to see Junkions again in modern media. I don’t know why they don’t use Wreck-Gar and the Junkions anymore in cartoons. You’d think their TV Talk would have them fit right in modern audiences.

Kind of a long shot but Masterforce characters come to mind, but I feel the catch would be they’d still be their American counterparts. So Fangry and Horri-Bull instead of Wilder and Bullhorn. I feel like there’s a gag that Robbie and Mo give Terran Fangry and Terran Horri-Bull after seeing their behavior when coming online, lol.

Mo: That guy is totally called Horri-Bull. Optimus: Yes, he certainly is Terri-Bull, isn’t he?

This can extend to Beast Wars characters as well, but I can’t think of anyone I’d want to see specifically. Maybe Tigatron, but they’ll likely go with Cheetor because of his role in Cyberverse.

I don’t know how they’d pull it off exactly, but I’d love a return to Double Spies. In this case, it’d probably have to be Doubledealer because of his Beast Mode for both Decepticon and/or possible Mandroid purposes and because he’s consistently antagonistic.

Punch/CounterPunch can also work, but I think it would depend on how the Decepticons work in context since this is a post war straggler kinda thing atm, and I don’t think there’s much to work with for Counterpunch in this scenario, while as DoubleDealer can be spying on the Autobots for the Decepticons/Mandroid and get necessary intel for their plans.

Since Soundwave is here after all and as a stealth bomber, I’m wondering if he still has cassettes or if they’re the equivalent of Torpedo Mini-Cons. In any event, I want someone BESIDES Laserbeak. Bring back Ravage, RatBat, Slugfest, Wingthing, Flipsides, anybody!

On a related note, I wonder if Mini-Cons will be a thing here. I loved the variety we got in RiD, but they’ve been absent since and I dunno for sure how you’d have them work in EarthSpark, even if it was a toy only way. (Powerlinx hasn’t been much of a thing anymore, and I doubt RiD Cyclones will appear ever again because of Bakugan’s return). Still, Mini-Cons, I’m all for in some capacity in EarthSpark.

Arcee and Wheeljack better go back to Cybertron to get the Dinobots. We have a Shockwave problem!

Grimlock: Why should I follow you to protect some weak orga-

Arcee: Shockwave is there.

Grimlock: WHATAREWEWAITINGFORLETSGO!

*Grimlock continues to scream "let's go" until they arrive on the AOT world and bites off Shockwave's head*

"Where the fuck were you three months ago?!" Jean shouted.

But again, Grimlock wasn't in the show, and I don't think his location was confirmed before RID2015. I know the Grimlock in RID2015 is a different person, but RID2015 is not canon in AOP.

However, in regards to Wheeljack and Arcee turning around to go back to Cybertron...it would actually take too long. Bit of a spoiler for Attack on Prime, the two Autobots have been on their trip for over a year. It took them a year, with stops, to get to the Attack on Titan world. So turning around, while Shockwave is there, isn't the brightest idea because they don't know how much damage he can cause.

But because Arcee and Wheeljack leaving Cybertron wouldn't be affected because of Shockwave leaving, they'd still arrive there. So what happens?

Arcee and Wheeljack arrive because they get the signal from the neutral ship. However, they pick up another, strange, energy signature on the mainland and decide to go and check that out first. They investigate their surroundings and are mortified to find everything in ruin and desolation. They go out of the Jackhammer to try and find any survivors, but before they can process the fact that the victims are humans (Because this planet is already strangely similar to Earth), a bunch of humans come out of hiding for an ambush with their weapons. They both have to take shelter and have to quickly explain that they don’t mean any harm, lamenting that they didn’t do the ‘Robots in Disguise’ bit. But then they hear the humans accusing them of being aligned with Shockwave and their understandable reaction is: 

Shockwave is here?! The two Autobots have to quickly explain NO! They hate that guy! He’s tried to kill them! Multiple times! They need to get themselves and the humans out of there now! The humans are still, understandably, cautious of these two titans and don’t want to go with them. Before any can make a choice, they all here the familiar screeches of the teal and golden Predacon coming towards them. Arcee grabs the shield generator (that originally belonged to Ultra Magnus but he decided to let her keep it along with the sphere weapon she used in Season 3 episode 7, Again, Spoilers for Attack on Prime), and shields the humans from the dragon fire, saving all of them. Wheeljack fires his heat-seeking missiles at the Predacon and yells at the humans to get on the Jackhammer, which they do not question twice. They run on with Arcee last to board to make sure all the humans were accounted for and they just fly.

Arcee and Wheeljack think they are in the clear, but suddenly take a hit and realize that the Predacon is not dead, even though Wheeljack fired two lethal missiles at it! Wheeljack shouts at her to use the grenades and Arcee grabs two before opening the hatch to the top of the Jackhammer. Arcee has to hang on for dear life while Wheeljack is maneuvering around every possible fire attack the Predacon is throwing at them. They are now flying directly above water, trajectory is towards the island, and before Arcee can try to aim the grenade at the Predacon’s throat and fire at it to blow it up, a jet mode flies right past them and rams into the Predacons, throwing it off-course. Arcee has to blink twice because she’s seen that jet mode before. It loops around and drops a human woman who slices her hand open and transforms into a humanoid Sharkticon that tackles the Predacon and begins to drown it underwater, the jet mode quickly following after the human. Both Autobots don’t question it and just book it for the island.

They get to the island and Arcee stumbles from atop of the ship to the ground, exhausted beyond belief. She doesn’t know how long she’s been lying there, but heavy footsteps come towards her, and she looks up in horror to see Megatron 2.0 staring down at her with crossed arms. Arcee pulls out her blaster, only for the Sharkticon to pin her to the ground and say “Don’t try it.”

Wheeljack tries to help, but a massive titan with no lips jumps him and pins him by the neck to the ground.  They take a look around and see an army of humans with strange devices on their hips aiming spears at them. It’s a tense standoff until Megatron notices the humans on the ship and orders everyone to stand down and get the humans on the ship some first aid. The Survey Corps take notice and quickly offer their help to the humans, guiding them off the ship and to a safer place. Megatron tells Eren and Ymir to step off. Ymir complies, but not before a warning shove into the ground before following the rest still in titan form. Eren, does not. He’s clearly not trusting of these two new comers.

“If he’s still alive, he will not take kindly to you trying to kill one of his own,” Megatron warns him.

Eren then sees the Autobot symbol on Wheeljack’s chest and slowly let’s him go. Wheeljack scrambles to his feet as Eren walks away. Megatron whispers something to him, and Arcee is surprised to find this creature listening to Megatron, before he continues following the Survey Corps. Megatron walks up to the two Autobots and asks if they can have a civil conversation. To which Arcee and Wheeljack, appropriately react:

And Megatron, tired Megatron, gives a long explanation about the titans, Shockwave being here, the whole Marley and Eldia debacle (cause they need to be prepared for the discrimination they see), Oh! and Optimus being alive but he’s been captured by Shockwave.

Arcee has to down the high grade energon she got in one go in order to process. Wheeljack trying to process why the hell he’s here and helping out the humans. Megatron replies that it’s him trying to fix his mistakes. Wheeljack downs his high grade only half-way because he’s decided he definitely needs to replicate that shit.

So Arcee and Wheeljack see the humans on the island, and it’s a bit of a mess because it’s a bunch of different people on the same plot of land with their own belief systems, arguing, and/or trying to help one another. Megatron introduces them to the military, both Marley, Eldia, and the Survey Corps, and there’s understandable tension. Because everyone on the island is just so tired and hardened to the point where it looks like they can’t crack a smile at all. And Megatron straight up says that they need their help in order to stop Shockwave and save Optimus or else he’s going to destroy the world. Arcee and Wheeljack agree, but...they just need some time to process all that happened in the last two hours!

After they take some time to process and cope with all this new information, they provide their assistance. They still, understandably, don’t trust Megatron, but they are shocked to see him and the humans working together, and quite well, they might add. Megatron is actually patient with giving out orders and the humans follow with minimal complaint.

Because after Optimus got captured, Megatron was essentially forced into a leadership position because he’s the only who had any idea on how to handle Shockwave. The humans are looking to him for help, and Megatron had to prepare them. Megatron didn’t want to do that in the beginning because he was terrible at leading in the past, he doesn’t want to get drunk off of power again, and he’s still iffy on the humans. Unexpectedly, Levi is the one to talk to Megatron about this, despite the fact that they hate each other. But the talk gives the both of them and understanding of one another. Levi admits he only followed Megatron’s orders to book it, because the expression of mortification he’d seen on his face was one he’d seen on Erwin’s too many times. So Megatron...reluctantly agrees. However, this ends up putting Megatron in a position where he better understands how humans work and why Optimus wants to protect them so bad. He builds connections with them, he trains them into becoming better fighters, but he also learns to show restraint and patience. Eren and Megatron’s relationship improves. They get along so much better now!

Wheeljack merely comments on Megatron’s change in demeanor with “Only on this world you get slag like this.”

However they do notice Megatron’s brutality when he trains the Warriors, because he does not hold back with any of them. He goes full force. Arcee and Wheeljack try to intervene, but Eren merely holds out his hand and tells them not to get involved as his wounds are regenerating. He spits out his tooth and gets into a fighting stance, causing Megatron to keep going. Arcee and Wheeljack see Eren, Lara, Annie, Ymir, and Reiner for this training session. One as humans, one as titans. They haven’t beaten Megatron, but they improve substaintially combative wise. Lara becomes better with a hammer and sword. Annie refines her skill. Eren shows the most improvement, and Reiner learns to take a much harder punch without folding. But the Autobots don’t see Zeke. The islanders don’t bring him up. (That’ll be addressed in another ask).

Also, seeing the titan shifters in human and titan form is a shock for the duo.

Arcee ends up helping out the humans better improve their aim, while flying around the 3D gear and she bonds really well with them, especially Sasha. Sasha is grieving over the loss of Connie. The loss of her friend, her brother, and Arcee understands where she’s coming from. She talks to her about Tailgate and Cliffjumper. She tells her that it’s okay for her to feel angry and upset, but it was in no way her fault. But they were going to do right by him by stopping Shockwave.

Meanwhile, Wheeljack helps Hanji improve in technology, and that reignites her will to fight. After Optimus’ captures, Hanji was furious. She was angry at Levi for pulling her away and not grabbing Optimus. She didn’t talk to him for weeks. She calls Megatron a coward and spits in his face, telling him that he was pathetic. Most of all she hated herself for not being strong enough to save him. Hanji thinks about forgoing emotions, being like Shockwave and doing what it took to survive, but she begrudgingly relents to not do it. She was still human; she was going to hold on to what’s left of it.

One day as Hanji’s making modifications to the 3D gear, Wheeljack makes an off-handed comment about adding thrusters to make the user go faster, and Hanji is immediately in his face, demanding he explain himself. Wheeljack does and Hanji immediately employs his help. They furiously work on the 3D model all night, and the Survey Corps end up seeing a smile of genuine pride on Hanji’s face as they managed to finish the product.

The Survey Corps and Marley do ask about tracking Shockwave’s location, and in turn, Optimus, but Wheeljack and Arcee explain the concepts of cloaking and shielding. They can’t track Shockwave’s ship while Shockwave has his own software set up to block it. Someone would have to disable it from the inside. One day, Wheeljack’s ship picks up an signal from high in the clouds over Marley.

(RESCUE TIME in the dark timeline!!!!! Also it’s interesting that I’m introducing the Arrival/interaction of Arcee and Wheeljack in an AU instead of the main timeline. LOL.)

TFA AU Idea - Little Spider Shop Of Horrors Part 1

Now this idea may sound a little out there, so hear me out.

On the 23rd day

of the month of May,

in an early year of a decade

not too far after our own,

the cybertronian race suddenly

encountered a deadly threat

to its very existence.

And this terrifying enemy

surfaced, as such enemies

often do, in the seemingly

most innocent and unlikely

of places…

So the story takes place on Cybertron in a rundown and poverty stricken neighborhood of Iacon (A “Skid Row” if you will), Where Blackarachnia (Who had traveled back to Cybertron according to the Complete AllSpark Almanac) is busy trying to raise an army for her new Predacon faction, as well as trying to find a cure for her organic half (Let’s just say that she isn’t having any luck with either of them).

However, in her freetime from all that, she’s been attempting to nurture a strange looking plant that she had found when she had taken ownership of Meltdown’s lab (She’s mainly doing this believing that it could help her return to her original form, and to just pass the time). Her analysis showed that it was related to a carnivorous plant called the “Venus Flytrap”. According to Meltdown’s audio logs that she had uncovered when she took control of his lab, the rogue scientist first discovered the plant (Which was a 4 foot baby plant) in the open jungles of Dinobot Island, all after the Solar Eclipse of that year had taken place. They also revealed that he had named the plant “Audrey II”, naming it after a crush he had back in middle school. This same plant was also one of the rare things that survived the Transwarp explosion (Resulting in it also being transported to the strange jungle that she and Waspinator ended up in). Unfortunately for her, she wasn’t having the best of luck bringing it back to health. That is until Blackarachnia injured her finger during an experiment where she discovered that the plant craves energon (More specifically, energon from cybertronians). With no other options, she began feeding it a few drops. This causes the plant to grow overnight.

The next few days after that were pretty much the same. With Blackarachnia feeding the plant a few days, and having Inferno and Antagony “donate” a few drops on other days (The two not minding at all, just happy to serve “the queen”). As it got bigger, the plant also seemed to develop some kind of sentience, becoming somewhat of an assistant to Blackarachnia, seemingly knowing what tools and equipment she needed at the moment, and was even able to help her create a virus that turned both robot and organics into techno-organics (Which both surprised and intrigued the spiderbot). In addition to those, the plant also seemed to love to listen to music, bobbing its pod up, down, left and right whenever it heard it (Something Blackarachnia found almost adorable). During that time, she had heard of the news that Her old friend “Optimus Prime” and his crew had successfully been able to defeat the Decepticon leader “Megatron” and bring him back to Cybertron along with his subordinates. She didn’t want to admit it, but a part of her was sort of proud of him (Though she was absolutely furious at the prospect of Sentinel Prime becoming the new “Magnus” while Ultra Magnus was in the hospital after being attacked by Shockwave). Waspinator (Who had only stayed with Blackarachnia due to him having nowhere else to go), however, refused to help out with anything due to him still being pissed about her using him as a lab rat, he didn’t give the plant a drop of energon, got into a few fights with her and her loyalists, and even occasionally sabotaged some of Backarachnia’s experiments behind her back out of spite. And when he wasn’t partaking in infighting, sabotage, or just being an all around jerk, he’d often sneak out and travel to a populated area nearby to take part in what he called “Relaxing” in order calm down.When in reality, this was a period when he went out kill everything that moved on sight (Which Blackarachnia was highly against). He never left anyone alive during his little rampages, and in the rare instances that it happened, brought one of the bodies of his victims back to the base to tear up later. Needless to say, the two weren’t on the best of terms.

It was now the 3rd day of the next week later, and Blackarachnia was now getting sick of this daily routine. The entire day, she refused to give the plant (Which was now 4-5 feet tall in terms of Cybertronian height) any more energon, ordering the Ant Twins to do the same. It wasn't until the evening when the plant seemed to wither from no food. Obviously frustrated, Blackarachnia tells the plantae that she’s through having to hurt herself, and her comrades (Minus Waspinator) in order to feed an organic creature. But before she’s able to say she had better things to do, the plant seemed to move its mouth, and made a sound (Which catches Blackarachnia completely off guard). It made the same sound again. This time, she can distinctly make out the words “feed me”. It let out one more “Feed Me!”, before going silent. Blackarachnia couldn’t believe what had just transpired. It had just talked to her.

Suddenly, the plant jumps back to life, demanding to be fed there and then. Blackarachnia refused to do so, saying that her wounds hadn’t even healed. She then asked why it couldn’t just drink regular energon. To which the plant explains that it must be from Cybertronians, and it must be fresh (Much to Blackarachnia’s disgust). When she asks why she should feed him, the plant (Which I'm calling Audrey II from now on) tells her that it can make it “worth your while”, and asks her if she thinks the fact that the helpful hands it gave her, or the creation of the techno-organic virus were all a coincidence. Unimpressed, Blackarachnia asks how an “inanimate object” like Audrey II would know what was and wasn’t a coincidence. Offended, the plant pulls her over to it using its vines, and tells her “Does this look inanimate to you, punk? If I can talk, and I can move, who's to say I can't do anything I want?”. When Blackarachnia asks for an example, Audrey II gives her one like seeing her get everything her “itsy, bitsy spark” desires and that it’s her genie, friend and willing slave all rolled into one.

The plant then says to the spider bot “You didn't have nothin' Till you met me. Come on doll, what will it be? Money? Boys? One particular goal. How about you being part Swishy?! Think it over. There must be someone you can 86 Real quiet like And get me some lunch!” (Context: This version of Blackarachnia doesn’t know what the term “86” means). Audrey II tells her to think about all the luxuries she’s wanted in life (I unfortunately couldn’t think of any, just pretend like the plant is giving examples). Blackarachnia laments that that’s exactly what she wants, but can’t since her people would see her as a freak. With this in mind, Audrey II tells her to look around, and that a lot of bots deserve to die, which alerts Blackarachnia (Not because she’s developed a moral compass or anything, but because she’s trying to build her army without causing a ruckus). The plant argues that she knows a lot of bad bots that wouldn’t be missed, mentioning Optimus and Sentinel as examples. Though Blackarachnia explains that while she go after them in a heartbeat, both of them are on the the “Cybertronian food chain” (More specifically, Sentinel, who is currently the “Magnus” of Cybertron). With this in mind, Audrey II decides to try someone smaller, saying Waspinator for example.

Blackarachnia is confused by this suggestion, as she never saw the buzzbot as someone who needed to be taken care of. However, the plant disagrees, asking her if she was aware that he had been sabotaging her experiments and work? Blackarachnia scoffs at the question, believing that Waspinator would be incapable of such accusations. Realizing that it needed more proof, Audrey II suggests that she look at her secret security cameras (That not even Waspinator nor she knew about) to see for herself. She does so, and sees many examples of Foul play (Examples being him damaging equipment, contaminating raw organic material, and even destroying a potential cure that Blackarachnia had created using very rare chemicals and materials (One of which came from Audrey II). To say that spider bot was pissed at the revelation that the green apocritan had ruined possibly her only chance to be normal again would be an understatement. She was absolutely livid. And with boiling energon, laments that the buzzbot’s got more than enough, with Audrey II giving one last word of encouragement “So Go Git It!”.

"GRIMLOCK FAILED YOU ALL! GRIMLOCK FAILED YOU ALL!" the Dinobot cried as he keeps destroying stuff in despair. 

 Ratchet, Wheeljack, Mirage and Hound just stared at him in surprised. "No no no, Grimlock! You actually helped me!" Ratchet reassured him.

"Yeah! You're a great helper!" Wheeljack stepped in but Grimlock still doesn't want to take the praise as he continued to sob. 

 "BUT ME GRIMLOCK STILL FAILED HOUND!"

The two mechs then turned to look at Mirage and Hound. "Hound, what was Grimlock trying to do?" the Autobot medic asked him.

The Autobot engineer panicky told him: "Quick! Pretend he helped you, before he destroys everything!" 

 There's no way to avoid this. Hound just stared at Mirage before taking a deep breath and beckons them to come closer as he whispers. "He was trying to help me ask Mirage out."

Both Ratchet and Wheeljack were surprised to hear it. Normally, Mirage is a type of mech that doesn't talk or hang out with any mechs but Hound was willing to ask him out."Do you wanna?" Hound glanced at Mirage once more while he was staring confusedly at Grimlock. The green mech then blush while nodding his helm.

Wheeljack beamed. "Then do it!"

"Like this?!" Hound gestures at the Dinobot who is now sobbing and rolling on the ground. 

Ratchet sighed. "Yeah, we hear you. We might be able to help."

“It won’t be perfect, does it really need to be?" Wheeljack reassured him. "Good luck!" he and Ratchet then rushed towards Grimlock and tackles him to the ground so that he can calm down. Hound took a deep breath before facing Mirage.

"Mirage?" they then yelped when the ground underneath them collapsed and leaving them in a crater. Hound quickly recovers his senses before rushing towards the blue mech. "Oh my gosh, Mirage, are you okay?" he reach out his hand and helped him.

"I’m all right."

Hound then put his hands behind his back, rocking back and forth. "I was just… I’ve been wanting to ask you something for a while. But I wanted to do it in the best way! And in the tunnel of love, I thought: “Mirage’s too cool for this.” after that, he blushed.

Mirage also blushed in embarrassment. "I’m not as cool as you think." he rubbed the back of his helm nervously.

"Okay. Everything is so crazy right now, and I have no idea what my future holds or when is this war gonna end, but it would be so cool if you were in it. So… uh…" Hound stared at the ground before taking some several deep breath. 'You got this, Hound. Just say it.' he thought to himself. But before he could say anything, Mirage interrupted him.

"Do you wanna go out with me?!"

"Nooo...." Hound whined. "I was so ready…"

Mirage felt embarrassed when he cut him off. He was too excited. "I’m sorry, I’m sorry, you can say it."

"Okay." the green mech sighed again before his face blushed in excitement. "Mirage, do you wanna go out with me?"

"Yes!" Mirage beamed in excitement with his rare grin.

"Okay!"

There was an awkward silence. They have no idea what do next so Hound holds out his hand towards his new lover timidly and Mirage gladly takes it back. Both of them were blushing furiously.

"Why is this still so scary?" Hound asked, staring at their holding hands.

"I don’t know."

From the distance, Grimlock is still crying but with tears of joy! Both Ratchet and Wheeljack watches them. Glad to say, they were happy for them.

"Dang, Grimlock, you really are something." the Autobot medic told him. The crater turns out to carve a heart-shaped.

The next day, everyone was doing their own stuff. While that, both Ratchet and Wheeljack told them about Hound and Mirage's relationship. The Autobots were surprised to see an unfamiliar relationship between those two but nevertheless, they supported them. They were just happy that Mirage is open up to a relationship with somebot; Hound. They even congratulate the two said mechs for this.

Grimlock then began to narrate. "Him Wheeljack may have some stuff go boom but me Grimlock glad to say that he got better at it." as he narrate that, the Autobot engineer was creating a new invention and was about to tested it on one of Ratchet's stuff but the Autobot medic halted and glared him but without any aggressions. "Him Ratchet got control from angry now! He still throw wrenches at them Autobots. IT’S PROGRESS!" and finally he turned to look at the new lovers; Hound and Mirage. "Him Hound finally got to show him Mirage about his collection!" The green mech was examined his new plants with Mirage gladly listen to his rambling while staring at him. Hound notices him staring and they both look away while laughing shyly with a soft blushes appeared on their faceplates. Grimlock grins at them.

"They’re adorable, and deserve all the happiness!”

While the topic is fresh in my mind, I want to discuss two characterizations in War for Cybertron: Kingdom that I didn't like. I'll be splitting it up into two parts since both explanations will be long.

So, Part 1: allow me to explain why I didn't like Dinobot in Kingdom.

The only characterization he ever really gets is the more honorable member of the Predacons who finally gets the courage to go against his fellow Predacons after talking with a captured Airazor. Not to say that honor isn't a trait of the original cartoon Dinobot, but there's one catch to the original Dinobot: he's an asshole and a gremlin.

Part of what made him such an engaging and fascinating character was that even after joining the Maximals, he wasn't always happy with the choice. There were many times where he missed the Predacon way of doing things, and most of his arc is A.) understanding just what side he should really be on and B.) him struggling to learn how to be a part of the Maximal team in his own unique way. Dinobot was fickle, he was a jerk to his fellow Maximals and considered to or did betray them more than once (that asshole nature is a main reason why he doesn't get along with fellow asshole Rattrap most of the time), and he looks kinda scary and intimidating. This is the guy with fucked up claw hands, rows of sharp teeth, and a mouth that can unhinge like a snake and eat his clone . It's because of this depth, this nuance to his character that made many love him, and it helped aid in making Code of Hero such a devastating episode. Right when Dinobot finally seemed to learn his place in the Beast Wars, after 35 episodes of us in the audience watching and getting to know him, he dies.

I can't say it's the case for everyone, but Dinobot's death in Kingdom had no impact on me whatsoever. It felt like the writers trying to claim an emotional scene by birthright rather than by good effort of buildup within the writing. Or alternatively, it was them thinking "Well Dinobot died in the original show so he has to die here too cuz tradition" but he didn't necessarily have to. Especially when they decided to make him stick around anyway by having him become a ghost in a similar fashion as G1 Starscream. For some reason that I didn't get and couldn't get behind.

I do understand that they likely changed Dinobot's character to better fit the plot that they were writing, but it comes at the cost of making Kingdom Dinobot feel like a cardboard cutout of the character I've come to know. And for a show that was meant to advertise a toyline aimed at Beast Wars fans, that seems like a bad move. Oh, and the voice direction for Dinobot sure didn't help matters.

Blitznut/lugwing

I really really like the uk comics saying Lugnut is afraid of the dark... I think thats so cute and I think it'd be really funny if the nemesis (since it's So So fucking dark in there-) freaked Lugnut out so Blitzwing has to comfort him by using his fire to like light the place up sometimes...

Going off my idea of Lugnut being a victim of empurata I think the trauma he and Blitzwing share of being afraid of medical procedures is something they comfort each other on especially when one of them gets hurt and needs to go to the medbay for repairs... Stuff like holding each others hand and talking to each other before they go under or while they're being repaired to help make sure they don't freak out n hurt someone-

I like to think that Blitzwing is quite caring and protective of Lugnut, he gets in the way of BA and him and constantly lectures Lugnut on being too reckless. Lugnut is also protective of Blitzwing but in a much louder obvious way-

Couple arguments so many couple arguments, they're both not the smartest and quite impulsive so it's not uncommon to have them suddenly start arguing in the middle of fights and other important things. Eventually they resolve with hugs n kisses but it's quite awkward for anyone caught in the middle of it-

Lugnut takes Blitzwings offer on his dance lessons! The results are mixed, Lugnut is trying his best and Blitzwing appreciates that. Even after his frame being forcibly changed Blitzwing knows that Lugnut can be just as graceful and gentle as any other bot <3 even if Lugnut nearly dented the wall while they did it-

When they're not on screen they're hanging out in that swimming pool they made in that one short, just chilling together n kissing.

Bulkprowl

Haha betcha didn't know i liked this >=D well I do it's one of my favorites!

Bulkhead and Prowl both start dating around Blast from the past but don't really announce it until later. Bee is offended he wasn't told right away! Tho he also understands they might've not said anything Because of the way he reacted to the news-

Prowl is the master of being still! He will freeze in the best poses for Bulkhead to reference and there's nothing Bulkhead likes to paint more than his boyfriend.

They r the ultimate fighting duo! Prowls cleverness and Bulkheads strength work great together! Especially when protecting the dinobots and Sari they will do all they can to make sure they come out on top!

Because Bulkhead is so big he's warm and very snugglable and Prowl loves to cuddle with him.

They r very protective of each other if u are mean to one of them expect to get the others wrath! Bulkhead doesn't tolerate any meanness towards his friends and Prowl is tired of hearing the endless bullying towards his partner.

Prowl gets into painting bc of Bulkhead! He's not very good at it and most of his paintings are more a messy splatter of emotions he struggles to show or make peace with. But Bulkhead loves his paintings either way <3

IDW Transformers AU where Grimlock sorely misses the rest of the Dinobots and tends to be snappy and irritable at everyone else who has lovers or a close circle of friends nearby (except Nickel, her friends were murdering monsters that got what they deserved and he makes sure to tell her this at every opportunity, not the least because making someone feel worse makes him feel slightly better)

sometimes he looks out windows and stars into the night sky, wondering if across the universe the rest of the Dinobots are looking back for him. He wonders if they miss him. He wonders if they even cared, or if that he has the right to feel bad about it, after what he did to get them stuck in the position he did

He wishes it didn’t take this long for him to understand what home really felt like, until it was too late.

(They still haven’t told him about Slug, yet.)

Transformers: Metal Force- Beast Wars AU

[Part 1]

It's an idea for a sequel to the main story of Tf: MF taking place dozens of years after the finale.

Optimus Primal is assigned to lead his first exploration in space. Nothing seems to complicate this mission, until they receive a message about a group of Predacons who stole a couple of prototypes from the science centre of Polyhex that were deemed too dangerous to develop and took them off planet. Primal gives an order to chase after them. They are led into a portal that takes them onto an unindentified organic planet that's not on any star map, at the time before even Cybertron existed. Damaged, alone, and with limited resources, the Axalon crew has to learn to work together and stop the Predacon leader Megatron from achieving whatever goal he set out for himself.

Optimus Primal (Maximal): Captain of the Axalon. An excellent fighter, unexperienced leader, and a notorious optimist. His hot-headed nature sometimes pushes him to give out poorly thought out orders, but he makes up for them with his incredible strategist skills. Would do anything for his crew, but is not afraid to put his foot down when disrespected.

Rhinox (Maximal): Optimus' right hand bot and the chief of science. The eldest member of the crew, and the most experienced. He and Megatron used to be friends, before the Predacon became power obsessed. Rhinox prefers to take command only when it's necessary, because he doesn't like to be in the spotlight. He's a spiritualist who is willing to give everyone a chance, even if that someone is an enemy. Despite his rather peaceful nature, he is quite terrifying when pushed to his limit. It's good to have him on your side.

Nyx (Maximal): Pilot of the Axalon. The second youngest crew member, who graduated not long before being given her first job. The Maximals quickly learned that she's a huge comic book nerd and a mercilless prankster; Some love her, some hate her. It is undeniable that she is really good at flying tricks, though.

Rattrap (Maximal): Stealth master, infiltration specialist, demolition expert (none of these are the qualities he was hired for). At first nobody really knew that much about him, until it was revealed that Rattrap is an actual former criminal. He used to be a part of a gang who broke into science facilities and stole energy sources. A pessimist, jerk, and a self-proclaimed coward. Doesn't trust Optimus in the slightest and is a difficult individual to deal with. Secretly cares for the crew.

Cheetor (Maximal): A recruit and Optimus' trainee. Cheetor wasn't supposed to be a part of the mission, but he snuck on the board of the ship before the launch. Loyal to the core, naive, but well-meaning and the most excitable of the bunch.

Dinobot (Predacon): A warrior, claims to be the chosen one. Dinobot used to be a part of Megatron's crew, but after spending some time with them he chose to switch sides. Honourable, a fan of theatre, perhaps a little too willing to fight. Believes that he was created for something greater than life and looks for an opportunity to prove himself.

Rewriting Blackarachnia’s and Sentinel’s Characters:

I want to try and see if I can make them a bit more redeemable then in canon...

Archa 7:

Instead of going to a forbidden planet for fun and potential fame, Archa 7 was Optimus’, Sentinel’s and Elita’s 1st mission as Autobot Elite Guard Primes.

(Also, Optimus and Elita have crushes on each other and Sentinel was trying to get them together...) 

Everything basically went as disastrously as in canon. 

Sentinel still blamed Optimus for what happened cause Optimus was the leader and leaders are supposed to protect all their teammates and friends. 

Even though what happened wasn’t truly Optimus’ fault, cause he was forced to make a hard decision in order to save Sentinel and Ultra Magnus knew this.

But Optimus felt so guilty about what happened, that he quits being in the Elite Guard, cause it didn’t feel right to have his dream... if he couldn’t share it with Elita and Sentinel.

Ultra Magnus decides to give Optimus a job in Spacebridge Repairs instead. 

Transform and Roll Out: 

When Blackarachnia/Elita joins the Decepticons as a scientist, she is uncomfortable with the idea of experimenting or permanently changing others, even if they give her their consent. 

Blackarachnia actually feels guilty for what she accidentally did to Blitzwing, but unlike in canon, Blitzwing doesn’t hold a grudge. 

She’s still a snarky spider. 

Autoboot Camp:

Sentinel is still a jerk and an organic racist, but not as bad as in canon and he’s a bit smarter too.

When Longarm (instead of Bumblebee) accused Wasp of being a Decepticon and had flimsy evidence, Sentinel wanted to investigate to be sure if this was true. 

So, Longarm/Shockwave was forced to plant stronger evidence against Wasp, which leads to Wasp’s arrest. 

Bumblebee was so sad and angry over nobody believing Wasp is innocent (in this version, Bee and Wasp are brothers that cared about each other) that he quits the camp, cause he doesn’t want to be in the Elite Guard without Wasp and Bulkhead joins him. 

Along Came A Spider: 

Blackarachnia/Elita still blames Optimus and Sentinel for what happened to her, but doesn’t hold as big of a grudge as in canon.

She even offers Optimus chances to join the Decepticons and tries to convince him by saying things like, “The Autobots don’t care about us, cause we’re not perfect to them... so, why should we care about them?” 

Blackarachnia and Optimus are both constantly trying to convince the other to join their side. 

Blackarachnia also kinda cares about Sari Sumdac.

When Blackarachnia uses the Allspark Key to try curing herself and sees that it was draining the life out of Sari and all the organics in Detroit, Blackarachnia is horrified by all of this and tries to pull the Key out, but she can't cause she’s weakened and Optimus had to help her. 

Megatron Rising:

Instead of trying to trick Sari for the Key, Blackarachnia goes out of her way to comfort Sari over Optimus not trusting her anymore. 

The Elite Guard/The Return Of The Headmaster/Mission Accomplished: 

Everything with Sentinel in these episodes is more or less the same, except he takes the threat of Decepticons showing up on Earth more seriously. 

Black Friday/Predacons Rising: 

Blackarachnia actually cares about the Dinobots and empathizes with them about being outcastes of society. 

Instead of flirting with them, she acts motherly/protective towards them and they all love it, especially Grimlock. 

She doesn’t poison Bumblebee and Prowl, but instead asks Optimus to team up with Grimlock to find the modulator that could hopefully cure her. 

She adopts Wasp later on and at first she didn’t want to turn him into Waspinator, but Wasp insisted. 

When Sentinel reunites with Blackarachnia, he still thinks her organic form is horrible, but he doesn’t want to kill her and instead wants to help cure her. 

But Blackarachnia rejects his help and refuses to trust Sentinel, especially with his racist comments. 

Eventually, Optimus convinces Blackarachnia to at least join his team, if she can’t trust the Autobots as a whole. 

Optimus teaches Blackarachnia to love herself again and Optimus finally teaches Sentinel some manners. 

After the final battle (which Prowl survives), Blackarachnia completely forgives Optimus and Sentinel, while Sentinel and Optimus forgive each other.

They’re all finally friends again!

um uh uh im nervous

i like to think a lot about how similar dinobot and drifts chatacter arcs are in canon right. i love thinking about that a lot

in my fan continuity, dino and deadlock are both in the decepticon special ops. best friends. joint at the hip. literally sword fight for fun. theyve been by megatrons side since the very begining, however, in recent years, their loyalty starts to wane. yes, theyve been made into ruthless animals, but their bodies are growing tired of war. theyre older than most of their peers and its starting to physically show in the fact that, due to how much physical work they have to do, theyre falling behind on upkeep and maintenance.

so, cyclonus allows them to rest more than the others. theyre finally allowed to notice the beauty of the planets around them in their off time. they then, more than likely, have to aid in the process of either taking over or destroying that planet. either way, that beauty that theyd taken time to cherish is destroyed.

deadlock takes up poetry. dinobot takes interest in botany. when they end up on earth to start the process all over again, they see great beauty in the planet. theyre growing tired. they want the process to end. cyclonus worries that the old men have gotten too soft. maybe its time to kill them

(also they do eventually start dating after thousands of years of pining but thats less important)
