supernatural writers, directors and actors all righting the wrongs committed in supernatural using their other projects is the best thing to happen since destiel confession.

Honestly the Dead Boy Detectives writers did something so unbelievably funny by interrupting a love confession with the confessing character being dragged to (super)hell and then immediately fixing it.

They really went RIP to Supernatural but we’re different.

Imagine you read the Iliad and Achilles and Patroclus are talking about how they want to have their ashes mingled together once they die and then you ask homer hey homer do you think these men are gay and homer says I don’t really see it. So now years have passed and homer is kinda broke so he is giving lectures to make some money and he ends up rereading Iliad only to find out that Achilles and Patroclus are, in fact, gay.

And before you say no, this didn't really happen to Homer. BUT it very much did happen to Mr. Richard Speight Jr, the director of Supernatrual.

Rob: They have no idea where Eve is located so they summon Castiel for help. He doesn’t know either. Rich: Okay, I’m just gonna say right off the gate, that was a super funny sequence. Where he’s like ‘I don’t have-’ where he just calls ‘Cas, get out of my ass’ and he appears right behind him. Rob: Yeah, yeah. The- Castiel in this episode is really funny. Rich: Dude, Dean/Castiel banter was, like, off the charts. Rob: And here’s my question. Do the writers know at this point that Destiel is a thing? Rich: I don’t know. Rob: We can’t talk about the show without mentioning that that's a thing that fans talked about, right? This sort of hidden- Rich: Yeah, but did they-  were they talking about it then? Rob: -Sexual chemistry between Dean and Castiel. Which may or may not be there. Although later in the canon it does become a thing. I’m sure- They wrote a whole episode of that. But the lines, when you reading- when you seeing this, you're like ‘Oh, wow, that’s all right there.’   Rich: They are playing into it, yeah. Rob: Yeah, exactly. Exactly. ‘Are you in my ass?’ ‘No, I wasn’t-’ Rich: I don’t know. I have no idea. We have to find out if that was a topic on social media at the time. Rob: Nevertheless, really really funny Castiel/Dean stuff. Rich: It’s great. It’s so funny.

if rob and rich actually dedicate an entire episode to discussing destiel at some point in the future (like they said they want to!), they had better bring both misha and jensen onto the show for it. they have been censored for so many years, but especially misha. i know that man is chomping at the bit to finally be allowed to openly talk about destiel. the muzzle comes OFF, let him SPEAK 🗣️🗣️🗣️

For those who don't know, Richard Speight, Jr. directed The Case of the Very Long Stairway. You might recognize him from Supernatural. He's also given interviews about this episode and what it was like from the perspective of a director, and what a truly special experience it was to work on the set of Dead Boy Detectives.

He's a fan of this show. And he wants it to be saved, too.
