heyy sorry to bother u but i was hoping u could give me a tip? im in the "mgs twitter fandom" or whatever and recently the people there are getting really aggressive when it comes to harassing people over stuff like fics or even small disagreements and also doxxing and...im very paranoid and scared about it, i dont think my twt is "suspicious" but they really just use any shitty excuse and since i interacted with some of them in the past (i didnt know they were so aggressive) i dont really know how to pull away (also, id still like to see the art memes and stuff) normally this wouldnt be a problem since im good at keeping quiet and observing but recently they actually did all this to someone i know and it got me really scared..im having a harder and harder time staying quiet and i dont know what to do, you seem more experient in this so, how do i stay safe? i do avoid any pro/anti discourse but im sure they could find something that could be tracked back and IDK could you give me some advice? im really sorry for the text and (possible) bad english

I wish I could provide much help but honestly I don’t know! In my experience befriending those who are like. The infamous “””gross proshitters””” of the fandom is a fair way to keep safe, but my method has always been to just keep to myself :( I know how terrifying it can be, and at this point I don’t really follow anyone who is too vague on labels 😔
